Melissa at check-in was so kind and helpful. All staff who served me were kind and provided excellent care. Facility is brand new (opened in April, I believe)!!!!!! Outside signs are discreet (to avoid harassmnent from PP haters?) so pay attention to your map! Definitely will return for STD screenings and other available services. This place is so cool :-)
First and foremost, the staff were very nice and we could tell they wanted to help but they couldnt. I brought a friend here for an STD test because I raved about how great this location was to me over the years. Nearly $200 for a urine test and $500 for blood AND wont test for herpes?.. Also wont accept her out of state insurance, when on their website it says out of state is acceptable. I dont know why the prices are so ridiculous but I had been tested at this location around 3 years ago and it was only $150 for blood and urine test. Just disappointed in this change and their decision to not test for herpes when so many people have it and it can lay dormant.
I have been coming to this location plus the old one off Beltline for over 5 years. I first went to Plano in my 20s and ever since then I could not commend and praise ALL staff members enough. I never feel judged, but rather supported in a kind and loving way. It is so very important to get tested and be on birth control. PP saves many lives and we are still fighting for the right to have what so many women previously have fought for. Keep up the AMAZING work Ladies. Yall are true Rock Stars.
Updated! Everyone is THE BEST!!!!! I was really scared about IUD but Viviean is a life safer!!! Thank you so much for such an awesome experience today🤍Melissa is THE BEST!!!!!! Oh my god, she is very knowledgeable and be able to explain things to you. Recommended!!! Thank you again, Melissa :))
I was so nervous to get my nexplanon removed because I heard horror stories but they are great here and make sure you feel comfortable. I was in and out in less than a hour. They every offered to let me keep my implant which I thought was funny 😂. Definitely would recommend this place.
I can only day good things about this location!! 10/10 customer service and appreciate Tessa and Vivian for making me feel so comfortable. I came for an IUD removal procedure and I was so nervous and they did all in their power to make me feel comfortable. I was even able to play my Notebook soundtrack to make me feel relax. I highly recommend and thank you Tessa for being so kind while I had a moment .
I have always preferred Planned Parenthood for screenings and exams. Although they have a new (and beautiful) location, I would still give them 5 stars at their previous location. The staff are SO kind, knowledgeable and patient. It’s super easy to book an appt online (I booked mine with less than 24 hours notice). I will continue to support Planned Parenthood as long as I can bc they do so much for the people in our community 💜
The location address is incorrect as listed. There was no updated information sent through text for the new location. I drove around for 25 minutes trying to find it. I made my best guess after the operator said it was *next to* Cantina LaredoThe front desk person was very kind and helpful. But Otherwise. Will update my review if and when the map information has been corrected.
I love these guys. I have major white coat syndrome but these guys truly made me feel welcome and comfortable and were able to quickly assist me w an IUD removal and other helpful stuff. I cant reccomend them enough. Julie was extremely informative and made everything as painless as possible, as were the front desk staff, techs and everyone along the way. Thank you!!
So the location has changed from a place in the prestonwood strip mall to a new building next to Cantina Loredo and adjacent to a hotel right next to it. Near intersection of Belt Line and Beltway Rd.
I got my blood drawn here which is very scary for me. They were quick as well as thorough. They also were as painless as possible. Nothing less than 5 stars from me!
Went in for a well woman exam and birth control pills. The front desk person gave me a card and said I could get pills online for $40, but I said I wanted to see a doctor and ask if I would see one if I stayed for my appointment. She assured me I would but it would cost $150. That was fine if I saw a doctor. When I went back I didnt see a doctor I saw a nurse practitioner, she never even touched me just asked if I smoked or had any heart issues and then gave me a prescription. These people shouldnt be allowed to pretend to be a clinic, because that what it was, it was pretend.
Very informative, patient and understanding staff, great energy and bedside manner from the clinician and overall great experience!I made an appointment online for a Pap smear and general OBGYN check up, the process was very straightforward. I called their number to ask for prices and it was about $190 without insurance, but I’ve been struggling this year due to COVID and asked about financial help. I am so, so grateful I was able to get my checkup covered I can’t even express it fully in words. On the day of the appointment I left early but Google maps sent me to a huge plaza but didn’t pinpoint the exact location. Around September 2020 there was construction going on everywhere and covering all the buildings so I recommend looking ahead at 360 photos to get your bearings if this is your first time coming here. There was no one else in the lobby, the receptionist led me through questions and then I sat down and waited. It was about 30 min after my appointment time when they called me in, the staff asked me more questions about my medical history, and answered all of my questions about what a Pap smear is, what STI testing options there are, and a whole lot of other questions. I felt very safe and not judged for my lack of knowledge like when I visited a primary care doctor a month earlier. I did a urine test to check for STI and then waited some more in the room. I waited quite a while so I recommend having something to do or watch maybe. The clinician came in, explained exactly what she was going to do, answered all of my questions before and after the Pap smear, and I really appreciate her positive energy and way of calming me down about the procedure. It was quick, easy, painless and all done in like 10 minutes or less.Overall I felt so safe talking about my medical issues here and being able to have a checkup helped take a weight off my shoulders. Would definitely come back here, hopefully in 3 years for another regular checkup ☺️
Last year I had a 5 star experience with this center however this year it turned into a 1 star experience.I had an appointment for a prescription refill-- simple, right? Everything went well until I found that the prescription was written incorrectly. When I called the center to let them know of the problem, they gaslit me and told me that my last appointment with them was in 2021 despite me telling them the date my appointment was on (which was days earlier) and who I had seen. I confirmed with my pharmacist what the issue was, but the receptionist and health center manager here didnt care. They could not have been less sympathetic to the fact that a paralyzed, ventilator dependent woman was going to be left with a health issue that she couldnt physically handle if they didnt fix the prescription. They could have at least faked caring about the inconvenience... Its so dehumanizing.I followed up with them today (weeks later) to see if I could catch a nice person on the phone but they were just as rude. The health center manager told me the prescription they wrote this year is the same as the one that they wrote last year even though I was able to catch the differences thanks to my pharmacists assistance. (Last years prescription says to skip certain pills, this years prescription says nothing about that.) I recorded the conversation (as its legal in Texas).I dont know why I had an excellent experience last year and why this year was so terrible, but I wont be going back. If a health center cant own up to making a simple mistake like this one, why should you trust them when it comes to bigger things that could impact your health?Unlike a lot of people who come here, I wasnt in the most vulnerable situation. If you have any issues advocating for yourself, especially if youre of a marginalized group, I do not recommend you play the odds...Just dont come here.
I went to have a IUD removed of 6 years. I was very nervous but the nurse made sure to talk me through exactly what to expect . Process was not painful at all . Very quick. I had a great experience. WillDefinitely be coming back to this location for annual exams
So so kind. Came here for reup of my trt and they treated me well whole way. Tessa was especially skilled, patient and informative. And also made me laugh. Highly reccomend
The staff was AMAZING! They were so welcoming and answered all my questions. 10/10 experience!!!
A strange man started tickling me as he told me to have a nice day left confused
Previously Ive been visiting the Dallas Shelburne center, but came to the Addison location for my implant insertion. The receptionist on the phone was somewhat distracted in answering my questions concerning the appointment. I was informed it was a consultation not the actual insertion date, however upon arrival Id gotten the procedure as well.Regardless of the miscommunication, I was very pleased with the staff and nurse. This location is much nicer, spacious, and friendly. I expected the procedure to take awhile, but luckily was over before long.Thank you for making the process comfortable and quick (while also being patient to my many questions!) for me.
I went to the Addison Planned Parenthood for my annual exam. This facility was modern and clean compared to my old PP clinic. Setting my appointment online through DocASAP was very easy and my wait in the lobby was short. The staff answered all my questions and sent me home with a lot of educational resources for my boyfriend and myself. Both the intake nurse and nurse practitioner were professional and nice.Based on past experiences with PP I was expecting to be there for two to three hours but I ended up getting everything done within an hour. I think it was because I set my appointment for an early afternoon on a weekday and did some of the preliminary work while scheduling my appointment online. Your mileage may vary.
Super nice and everyone was very knowledgeable. IUD removal was super easy and I definitely recommend it!
Everyone at the clinic was super nice and the NP who did my telehealth consultation was the one doing my procedure. They made sure to explain everything they were doing to make sure we were on the same page and stopped periodically to ask if I had any questions or concerns. The procedure itself was exactly like it was described to me. Great service!
Came on March 30 2021 i am not a rude person just wanted to put my review on here , this place was actually very quiet not many people here but the young lady she looks mexican or hispanic she wasnt outright rude but you can tell she was just a little careless and wasnt really informative . Ive been to a different planned parenthood and had a better experience there . I came for a simple IUD removal procedure . I talked most of the time asking questions something i feel like she could have helped with just being informative about the process and what to expect but i had to ask all the questions . The doctor on the other hand was very sweet and informative and she helped me alot and she made me comfortable.
Everyone is nice and caring and very informative. I went here hoping to get a same day insertion for IUD. Normally they dont do that, but because of my insurance situation they let me have it. They care about their patients and theyll do what they can to make sure you leave there protected.
Ive been at least 3 times and made an appointment each time. Even when Ive made an appointment, it still felt like a long wait after. I was okay though being that I didnt have to go to work later that night on the days I went. The staff is great although I would think they could be a little more discreet when talking to you about whats going on and what youre there for. While I was trying to pay the receptionist was being very loud and Im sure that even though the window was close ppl on the outside could hear her and we were talking about something I wouldnt want talked about out loud like that. Thats just me. Other than that everything else was good
I called to make an appointment this morning and the woman who answered the phone was extremely rude. I called to make an appointment for a birth control refill and asked how long the appointment would take -she told me an hour and a half. I simply asked her why the appointment would take this long and what would be done during the appointment and she replied “that’s just the way it is” and hung up on me. I was not rude to her and genuinely wanted to know what to expect during my visit. Very disappointed.
Called to schedule an appointment earlier this morning. They were able to get me in the same day. When I made the appointment I told them my reason for coming in and that I had Medicaid. So I get to my appt which was about 30-45 minutes away for the same day service. I wait for two minutes after giving my information and then Im told unfortunately my insurance wont cover my visit and Id need to pay $130 out of pocket. Hell no. Ill just go to my regular doctor for it. Only reason I went with planned parenthood was that they could get me in same day. Poor service. Should have told me on the phone that it wasnt covered instead of wasting my time and gas.
I have been here two times now and have not had any problems ...the staff and doctor are very nice and professional. I never have to wait long when I have a scheduled appointment. The only thing I wish would be different is when calling to make an appointment I wish It would go straight to their office, not to a call center. Sometimes they have long wait times. But other than that it is great!
EDIT: Updating my review from one star to five. Thank you, Planned Parenthood for your swift reply and vigilance to correct what happened. Not only did you guys fix my situation, but two people also apologized to me for the rudeness of that particular employee. I have been supporting Planned Parenthood for over a decade and will continue to patronize this location.-----I usually dont get this upset but I was just treated like garbage by the receptionist with the tattoo with the three roses and scull on her arm. The situation I understand is beyond her control but she was extremely rude and lacked empathy when I was telling her about my problem. If you cant be nice to people you shouldnt be working a job where you have to interact with them.
See the photo that I have posted about this place, for evidence. The front office receptionist wanted me to wait outside even though there was a lot of empty space in the waiting room. In fact there was nobody in the waiting room when she asked me to wait outside. This was the worst treatment from any doctors office, in my whole life. On the flip side, the NP did a good job.
While I must say I absolutely love Evelyn who is the nurse practitioner. However, the new manager Evelyn is just awful and has no customer service skills. I called and make an appointment, I showed up 15 mins earlier. Evelyn told me I cannot be seen because they made an appt for the incorrect visit. After playing the recorded conversation proving I was very specific and clear on what I needing the appointment for, Evelyn still told me I cannot be seen. After taking half a day off work without pay she had no consideration and took no responsibility for their error.
Ive been going here for atleast 3 years and have had no issues. They are very knowledgeable and helpful. I actually found the staff to be more personable then the big expensive places. If you dont have insurance or have low income they really do help out. I never feel like im being overcharged.
Facility is clean, the staff was kind and patient! Was easy to make an appointment! Was a great experience. We are lucky to have these kind of resources available to women!! Thank you for making it simple !!
Called to see if there were any appointments available for the day. Was told I can go as a walk in. Still made an appointment for 10:30 (or so I thought). I arrive on time, come in. Looks deserted and not busy at all. Good.Took pregnancy test, came out negative. I am told to try another test in three to four weeks.I fill in the information for new patients. I’m told I need to see the clinician and to wait in the room. 20 mins go by, nobody comes to the room.I have an appointment at 12 and must start driving now because it’s 17 mins away.I decide to walk to the front desk and say I’ve been waiting in the room and now I have to go. Maybe I will come back another day if possible.Front desk lady says “you can’t leave because you’re a new patient and if you leave you will be in big trouble”My mental reaction: what?...ok I guessWhat I actually said: okMy perspective on this: whoever is hiring the front desk people, I would advise to look for someone with social skills. My review: If you have insurance, absolutely stay away from Planned Parenthood. If you don’t, make it your last resource option. A urine test is not worth the two hour wait and $40. They don’t even give you valuable information (like I foolishly expected).Just being honest. It’s a disappointment. No wonder it’s getting defunded.
Super clean facility with well-informed, smart medical professionals. Best pap experience ever (didnt hurt at all). They made sure to share lots of info with me...stuff I never would have thought to ask but they made sure I knew. Absolutely love this place. You get the best womens health care.
Snarky staffwas referred to addison clinic by the plano clinic to get meds and lidocaine to numb cervix for IUD insertion (plano tried to put in IUD but since I am nulliparous the nurse did not feel comfortable pushing any harder, and I was in too much pain)i called this clinic 4 times to make sure the meds and lidocaine was going to be there before I drove 45 minutes out to the clinici waited 45 minutes to see dr. lynn jordan and found him to be argumentative, refused to give me a medicated IUD insertion, and was rude and unprofessional.the dr creepy told me that the IUD would give me cramps constantly for months and months, and that metal surgical instruments had to be placed in my uterus with no medication to remove the IUDthe dr was lyingI am going to contact Paraguard and inform the company of the lies this doctor is spreading about their productand now after a huge waste of my time, I am going to find a health care provider willing to do a cervical block or medicated IUD insertion, that will act professionally and honestlyjust a creepy mess of a clinic and doctordo not go hereplanned parenthood is a wonderful organization but this clinic is disorganized at best, more likely just dishonest and unprofessionalthe receptionist was catty and snarky for no reason
You would think a medical facility would keep a clean comfortable work space. But the waiting room had a terrible sewage smell that did not go away. If you can dont visit at least until there sewage is fixed.
Been going here for years and always had a good experience! Everyone is very nice and the wait isnt long. Good movies in the waiting room too ;)
Usually fast and very clean. The staff is very knowledgeable and considerate.
Doctor Amanda made me feel comfortable during my visit. She was very sweet and professional, thank you
Theyre professional and take time to understand patients.
Tried 3 times to come in as a walk in and every time the call center has given me the wrong times. This is ridiculous! Why have a call center if they never have accurate informatio? Asked for a direct number and was told they dont have one, so I cant even call the facility to make sure of times instead Im left guessing. Never again will I use this company!
Called to make an appt to see the doctor about the IUD issue due to bleeding i was having and the recepcionist would just argue with me on the phone saying i have to get tested for STD.
Very slow and stuff was just blunt out cold!no assurance or counseling or friendliness/warmth..nothing!have been to way better planned parenthoods!
Tried calling this number several times to make an appointment , no one ever picked up the phone, it was one answering machine to another, directing me to a website where i couldnt even get through , same annoying circle of answering machines and websites that dont work . Ridiculous .
Transparent about pricing, good bedside manner, clean facilities.
Just left here needed a referral for MAMMOGRAM they refused even though my mom died of breast cancer and my aunt and grand mother had it too. Shows how much they care.
Always a great job, fantastic care and wonderful employees.
This is the best location. Thank you for having professional staff from the front desk to the Clinician 💖
So slow and they dont even update you whats going on. Seated in there for 2hrs without an idea of whats next.
Rude staff, they need to learn how to answer calls and make confirmation calls as well very disappointing
PP saved my life. Love them.
Had the best experience very helpful
Great and easy experience!
Great experience!
