Planned Parenthood - Ames Health Center

I visited this PP location for birth control today and the staff were some of the kindest, warmest people Ive encountered in healthcare. From Leah at the front desk, to Danielle, Carol, Megan, and Dr. Barritt who gave me medical care, everyone was so welcoming and worked so hard to make me comfortable. It turned an anxiety-inducing experience into a really easy pleasant one. Im so grateful that these wonderful people are out here helping women. Thank you all! ❤️

The staff here were exceptional at going above and beyond to make me feel comfortable and meet my needs. The front desk staff are so so kind and I really felt like there was educated employees that truly care. I’d give it 5/5 stars but I was blind sided by a $300 payment. That is planned parenthood not the insurance. The reasoning is to cover costs of services offered in case insurance doesn’t cover the cost. This was not included anywhere in any of the pre-check in information. However the staff handled the situation really professionally and with lots of consideration and we were able to work it out. I just don’t want any other women to go in here thinking the same thing I did that they wouldn’t collect any payments aside from co-pays from insurance and that was not the case. Otherwise 10/10

Planned Parenthood makes me feel safer, more welcome, and more understood than most other health care providers. For that reason, I usually choose them over primary care providers for my reproductive healthcare needs. Im grateful to the employees for making me feel genuinely cared for and less alone in my health care decisions.

Waited 2 hours in lobby for a scheduled appointment i was on time for !

The nurse and midwife were two of the nicest people I have ever talked to. They made sure all of my physical and mental health needs were met. This is now my favorite office.

They removed my Nexplanon rod very effectively and without pain. Great staff, always friendly :)
