Doctor is great but the receptionist and front desk are practically non-existent. It is next to impossible to reach anyone by phone. I have to contact the doctor’s assistant for my referrals and often just have to use the app to schedule another appointment so I can get this in hand. If not for the app, I doubt they’d have any patients but even here the wait time for appointments is 6 weeks or more out. With all these negative reviews and experiences, I’d hope they’d fix this issue because the doctor is great.
Dr Grover is excellent. Its not a fancy office and they try to cater to people of all incomes and ethnicities which makes it more difficult. Ive never had an issue with their service and Ive been going there 5 years.
This has been the best doctors office for my children and I. The front desk staff are always kind and accommodating. The nurses and doctors treat patients of all ages with care and understanding all of our concerns and needs. For anyone who wants the best doctor for yourself or your children go here!
The most incompetent clinic I’ve ever been to. I came with my sister for an appointment she had, we arrived 15 minutes early as she had a 6pm appointment, then they said that the doctor was running late (that happens and it’s understandable). What isn’t understandable is for the front desk to look at my sister and another patient (both with the “same” name) and say “I don’t know which one she’s calling but she’ll come and get you”. Only for then my sister to have her 6pm appointment taken by the other person who arrived after she did and then my sister having to wait an hour to even be seen. I don’t know how totally inept you have to be at your job to not even properly communicate which patient is being called up or follow the guidelines of an appointment. As someone who works in a health care setting, it astound me this place manages to pay their own electric bill on time if they routinely have these issues.
I would have given this place a higher rating because the particular doctors I have seen have been super kind, but I cannot do so in good faith given how I have been treated by a particular receptionist, so one star it is.I inquired about a form that has apparently been sitting who knows where within the building and was not returned to me in regards to a service that I have been waiting for several months for.I was polite about asking for the form. The receptionist then began to look and I explained how the form was faxed over (I have the receipt) and I called about it multiple times. The woman then spoke very rudely in Spanish to one of her coworkers, which I speak fluently so I understood every single word that was said about me and the inquiry I gave in regards to this form. I was then finally told that my primary doctor is on vacation, which I was not aware of.Additionally, I was told there were voicemails that stated why the form couldnt be filled out that were sent to me sometime during the time frame. I have reviewed the voicemails and not a single one of them had the explanation that the receptionist gave me, with a very rude attitude! I also had returned the calls multiple times.This is highly unprofessional and I will be letting my insurance know so I can hopefully switch to a different medical provider.Save the headaches and dont go to this particular location if you can avoid it.Summary: A particular receptionist with black hair was very rude in regards to a simple inquiry about an important form in regards to a service that I have been waiting for roughly four months for.
I’ll start by saying I used to work on the medical field. I was an MA and did both back work with patients and front clerical work. Like appointments and insurance. Now both as a patient and as a previous MA, NEVER - have I had such an issue with appointments. My particular doctor at this location is Laura Lopez. And I have no complaints about her. She’s informed me more than most doctors I’ve seen. My problem is the medical assistant. Who has been caught in unnecessary lies. I am 8 months pregnant. From the start, my very first appointment. The medical assistant Anahis had a horrible attitude towards me because there was no medical fiel. No history. When I had made the appointment I had asked what I needed to bring because each clinic is different. Some require you to bring your record from another doctors office and some will get it for you. Well apparently this one needs the new patient to bring it with. Which I was not told to do and she asked me in the most dumb way possible how I knew I was pregnant and that far along. When I had already been seeing a doctor and only switched because I wasn’t getting the care I required. From that day on, it’s been nothing but problems. She even lied about how only one person can see the appointments for the ultrasounds at the Buffalo location. When I showed up for one of my ultrasound appointments they never had me in the system for that day. I told them exactly what the medical assistant had said and they told me she lied. I again spoke to her yesterday to reschedule an already rescheduled appointment and today I get a call from the receptionist about how it’s important for me to make an appointment because I missed mine. I told her anahis had already called me back and said I was scheduled for Friday which the receptionist then told me I wasn’t and I was still scheduled as the genesis location in des plaines. I don’t know what’s going on or why this place is so horrible. It’s like no one knows how to do their jobs. I’d highly suggest to not go to these locations at all and just find another provider. I would if I could but I’m about to give birth and have no more time to look. I only hope the C-section goes well, I’m genuinely scared at this point for my wellbeing and their carelessness and lack of ethics. Close this place down or get better people. It genuinely makes you guys look like a joke and very unprofessional. Get something done to better your locations or someone will eventually sue.
The staff in general has always been very friendly. Dr. Angeli Patel is very kind and beautiful person
I cant thank the office enough for the special, excellent care they have provided to my family! Been coming here for the past years and the staff is wonderful. Always able to get my children in for appointments right away. If I ever have any questions for the doctor or the medical assistant I always hear back from them right away!
Please don’t ever make an appointment with Pinaki Patel because she was so rude to me and my son ,she gave a horrible customer patient services . She was yielding. She is always in a bad mood. She tread us horrible.even she was mean to the nurse . The Doctor is from India please remove her
Receptionists are awful. Everytime we go in they sit and gossip and are not friendly. On the phone, they couldn’t understand my moms korean accent and what she wanted, gave her attitude, and hung up on her.
Only went here so my son could complete his physical for school, I made sure to bring in the forms needed so the Dr could fill everything out and fax it to the school. I even went in two weeks ahead of time. Sounds simple right? No- not only did I have to call for a week straight because they never faxed it (even after I gave them the fax number multiple times) but to make matters worse the form was never filled out! The appointment was quick and easy height and weight etc and a Dr signature but no-nada - nothing! I had to go back in person again and show them the blank paper. Of course the Dr wasnt available and of course they didnt have the record of his physical- what did I get charge for ? I was better off going to a minute clinic - I wont bother wasting my time or money with this place since you wont get any help over the phone or in person! Imagine if it were something more serious....
The staff was very friendly and attentive. Dr. Grover was a kind, caring doctor who was thorough and made sure all my medical needs were met. I definitely will continue seeing the Doctors at this clinic. My son is a patient of Dr. Richards and is extremely satisfied with the care he has been gives and Dr. Richards is genuinely a doctor who cares about his patients,
The only reason this clinic is receiving one star is because that was the only way I would able to write this review. The doctors at this facility are absolutely terrible. The worst bed side manner I have ever experienced. Rude and unprofessional. I was assigned to this location do to my change in insurance and have made numerous complaints to my insurance agency regarding this clinic. Thank goodness I finally was able to switch. I would never recommend this clinic to anyone. It is close to impossible to get an appointment. The physicians I dealt with had poor bed side manner. Very vague in their explanations and reasoning to the questions I had, always rushing out to the next patient. My scripts were never filled on time. I would send requests days before and had to follow up with the office only to find out that I had to come in for another appointment when I was assured I didnt have to within a 90 day period. You cant even make a complaint to the manager because no one is ever available and you never get call backs. Hire physicians who actually want to help people and act like they care, clean your facility, and treat patients with respect.
I’ve been going here since I was 11/12 along side my siblings for about 9 years. For ages 11 to 18, Dr. Lizeth Manjarrez has been my doctor and honestly, she really is the best. She has always been able to fit us into her schedule and make sure we have the best possible care. Her medical assistant Gisele is also super nice and always looked forward to talking to her when she can in for my pre-check up at the clinic. My siblings love going to see Dr. Manjarrez when they need their physicals for school or even for a check up!
While my Drs have been overall good the time to get a referral that was already given mailed or told it would be faster to come get it is beyond longer than I’ve ever experienced any where else. After not receiving my referral for 2 weeks I called only to find out my referral was just sitting there. Why wasn’t it mailed as said it would be or given an option to come get it if it was going to take so long!?? I can also say every visit the waiting room, patient rooms and bath rooms are not very clean. There was even blood or something on a door, GROSS! Even the door to go to the back to the patient rooms was broken and kind of dangerous. I fixed it temporarily myself while there and suggested they have someone fix it better. While the girl on the phone today Miriam was nice, the front desk is often not nice or are very unprofessional. As well as when you are sitting in the waiting room you can hear all the personal calls they make to patients or when a patient calls in. It’s unprofessional and invasive of privacy. They need to put up some kind of glass around the desk area so there’s more privacy. If I didn’t like the Drs I wouldn’t come back to this place. Not to mentioned the wait can be very long even with an appointment.
You would think the receptionist would be professional and attend you right when you arrive but they rather chat with each other. Their hospitality is so bad that I will no be going anymore. The only good thing about this clinic is the Doctors.
My experience at this facility was fantastic! There were 4 women working at the front desk and all were very professional. The one I spoke with (Clarina?Corina?) was SO sweet, friendly and efficient. She even had a smile for me as she walked by me on her way to the counter, which set the mood for a pleasant experience. The women all seem to work toget her well and paperwork, etc. all went very smoothly and quickly.Dr. Graham is going to be my new doctor--thats how confident I feel about her. She was a very good listener and explained things to me thoroughly. We discussed various aspects of my health and I helped me plan wellness checks for the upcoming months, taking my financial situation and current lack of insurance into consideration.I am very pleased with ALL aspects of my visit here.
We chose ACCESS Northwest Family Health Center because my mother-in-law is an immigrant senior and has traditional Medicaid and it is hard to find a place that takes it. I was worried after reading the reviews that this was going to be a bad experience especially for an 80 year old woman who has never seen a doctor but after the visit I have to say I dont know where all of these bad reviews are coming from. From the time we entered the building to the time we left everyone was very nice, I didnt get either of the nurses names the blond one checked us in and she was very friendly, the definition of great customer service. The dark haired nurse took my MILs vitals and administered the vaccines she was quiet but very attentive. I guess I should mention that my MIL doesnt speak English very well and most places do not have a translator who does speaks the language and they were very understanding allowing me (I have a back ground in health care, my husband (he speaks the language and can translate), and My MIL back into the room for the appointment to make sure it ran smoothly. Dr. Sultana was a joy to work with she really took her time with my MIL and cleared up all of the concerns we had about her health and we look forward to continuing to work with her. I would 100% recommend if you you try this location if you have Medicaid or are low income. I also want to mention that this place was spotlessly clean, you could smell jut how clean it was.
First, I really liked my doctor but because of the benefit specialist I will be changing my doctor. I had been calling for two and half weeks to get help with my referrals. She was of no help at all and acted like she didnt care and told me I needed to change my doctor for my referrals to be accepted at a suburban hospital. She did no contacting of the hospitals or anything. The receptionist is also very rude and needs an attitude adjustment. If you dont like your job then quit. Its your job to help the patients who call.
I have to say my first visit was a great experience today! all the people were polite and did a great job taking care of me. I saw Doug the N.P. and I have to admit I liked the way they asked different questions about my current physical and mental health status. labs were done and I did wait a bit, but not too long. I would recommend Access to people.
If I could give 0 stars I would. Do not, I repeat, do NOT come here. Called and asked how much it would be after being referred here, to get my IUD out, since I currently do not have insurance. Was told $80.00 but it could possibly go up. Wish I would have went with Planned Parenthood that said $150. Doctor wasnt very professional, front desk was terrible, and then I almost had a stroke when they told me after, I owed FOUR HUNDRED AND 20 DOLLARS. Got the bill today. $35 for a pregnancy test, theyre $20 at the store. Says right here on the bill, remove intrauterine device, $270 - my $80.00 deposit, so YOU DO KNOW THE PRICE, you lied. Outpatient visit 15 minutes, I sure as hell waited in the room for 15 minutes before and 20 after I was done, waiting for the nurse TO HAND ME PAPER WORK!! There is no way the doctor was in the room with me for 15 minutes, hell, she didnt even give me a warning she was about to remove it, and you want to bill me $195 for an outpatient 15 minute visit? You are nuts! I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone. They tried to get me to come back here too, for my pap smear, said it would be free. Hahahahahahhahahahahahahhahaha! At least you provided a few giggles, and tears for my visit.
I was fearful of having to use this Clinic due to the reviews. But as one of my only choices to get right in I boomed it and found it not to be bad at all. They werent busy. They were able to renew my prescriptions and give me good referrals. I got right in but then was left waiting a bit in the exam room but all in all the entire appointment in and out was about an hour which I consider usual.
All of the staff is very attentive and helpful. Dr. Sultana is great and takes her time to explain everything to me. Dr. Lopez is also the best gynecologist I have seen so far...Keep up the great work.
Our experience was great! My son was extremely nervous about going for his annual exam with blood work, but Dr. Patel, Janneth, and Yesenia were absolutely amazing! They made it an efficient, caring, and pleasant appointment, and we couldn’t be happier with their level of care!
The reason I gave one star is because the medical assistant are rude not fully trained and have no manners . The only two people who are honest and genuine are dr. Grover and karina at the front desk otherswise I DNt trust anyone their. They Don’t know how to talk to their patients or respect. Dr. Grover and karina go out of their way to help their patients. The only reason I will be going back is because of them two.

This little health center has very impressive good doctors. Doctors are great, specially Dr Pachikara and Dr Manjarrez, but Dr Pachikara is not there anymore. They listen to the parents and do whatever they think is necessary for the kids. My kids love them.The only reason I am giving 3 stars is Front desk ladies. They are not professional at all. Those rude ladies never smile and ignore visitors/patients, never answers their questions. They speak to each other in their native language while serving patients/visitors.Waiting time is too long. We have to wait at least 1 hour in the office room.More importantly, cleanliness has to be improved in the rooms.
Hispanic woman at the front desk with long black wavy hair was rude and unprofessional. The whole experience was a joke and the staff were unprofessional. I got my blood drawn and not only did it take two people to get the job done, they literally stuck me 4 times and it was very painful. I’ve been getting my blood drawn since I was 14 and this was the worst experience. I had a painful bruise for a week after. Never going back.
Dr. Lubna Choudhry is hands down the smartest doctor I have met. She helped me in 5 minutes what I’ve been trying to attain in 6 months on my own. They give you a detailed report of the visit, which helps make sometime confusing aspects make sense This clinic is truly the future standard of modern medicine.The staff is friendly, the clinic welcomes Spanish speaking patients, a convenient lab inside the clinic, I would highly recommend this clinic.
I took my wife in there to see the doctor and the waiting time was as usual in any doctor office. The doctor was professional and knowledgeable. The blood drowned was done professionally and from the first needle without fishing for veins. My wife has terrible veins and it’s a very hard patient when it’s coming to have the blood drawn, but she was more than satisfied with the service. We recommend Access and we will continue to come. I visited the office on January 8th, writing the review on January 31st. I needed the referral for my allergy specialist , it was my first visit at this clinic and saw Dr Lubna Chaudhary. I was very impressed. She said Carla is the lady who takes care of all Prior authorizations and sending referrals.I never heard from Carla in over 3 weeks, I told Dr Lubna that I am traveling abroad in few weeks so I need to get referral since I have HMO plan, and she said it will be done and Carla will call me asap. I called doctors office at 10:30 in the morning and Carla wasn’t there at office till 11:00, I left the message and asked front desk to give me a call, then I called back again at 1, and I heard her from back saying she is going on her break and tell Patient that she will call me soon, she calls me and says, she never heard anything from Dr Lubna in last three weeks.Then she goes she called me on my phone but I never answered the phone call, I said do not lie and she immediately starts changing the topic. Then she says I can go to Chicago downtown if I want to see any doctor or she will close my file for referral???Is this how the staff they have hired? I paid doctors bill, my insurance bill, and waited over 3 weeks. And she wants to say she will close my referral??I wish google had zero star for her behavior, I would have given zero star for her arrogant behavior, and taking her job lightly working at doctors office.
Agree with the staff, theyre HORRID . My husbands appointment was at 3:40, we got here at 3:43. So they took the person whos appointment was at 4 before us because we were late. I politely informed the receptionist we were not late and that it was unfair to take the other patient first. After some back and forth here I am. Still waiting at 4:35. Cant say we will be back.
This place is horrible. And expensive too. I mean, COME ON!!! First of all, this place is literally the WORST. The customer service is horrid! And second, when we asked if they could tell us the price of the vaccines for my daughter they said they couldn’t and they didn’t know, but that woman actually knew! It is not like it is classified and is a top secret case file or something. They didn’t even try to guess. And then after we were done, that woman told us it was 600$ in total. And it was only THREE VACCINES! These people are scammers, but on a more positive note, the doctors/ nurses or whatever you call them were really nice and friendly. I would have given this at least 2 or 3 stars but I am devastated.
Staff seemed like they had no clue what they were doing. Very rude and curt. Bathroom looked dingy and unclean. They let me come all the way into an appointment for an IUD insertion and only when I was about to get an insertion did they ask about my period. Apparently I have to be on My period or it will be extremely painful. Nobody told me any of this prior to the insertion appointment. So I said no nevermind. Obviously I don’t want it to be super painful if I can avoid it. But now I wasted my time. I asked for birth control pills instead and they refused that since I was referred to them by another doctor. What was even the point of me going then if I can’t get birth control? They don’t care about their patients and it was so obvious. Don’t go here. This isn’t even the first issue I’ve had but this is the last straw.
I ve read all reviews and despite I went there. Service desk was nice, nurse great and I really love M.D. Pachikara. She tested my son child friendly way, joking, getting him into conversation. Great job .I gave one star less because cleanliness could be improved tiny bit.
My experience is very bad. We have to wait for a long time for every time we go, even we have an appointment. At our last visit, we waited for half an our and they said we need to wait 20min more. Than they said to me if you want, you can talk to the doctor via phone call. Its unbelievable. How can a doctor give a treatment without seeing patients.
This is one of those places that should be a zero. The doctor I saw, and Im not being hyperbolic, was the meanest human being Ive ever met. When she entered the room she didnt approach me and instead sat down with her back to me and started complaining about her nurses. These complaints included calling them stupid and a few swear words. She then asked me what was wrong and I told her my wrist hurt. I explained that my previous doctor said it wasnt carpal tunnel. She asked what my job was and I explained that I do a lot of writing in field books. She told me it was stupid that I had to write in 2016. I explained that the field notes have to be hand written. She asked why I was in pain and I said that maybe it is because I write weird or because I probably should have been a lefty. She asked if my dad beat me! I said no and that he writes funny too so maybe thats where I learned to write like I do. She then got upset and asked again if he beat me. I again said no and she grumbled. Then a nurse walked in and the doctor started yelling and swearing at her. I got up and left. Horrible experience!
Dr. Angeli Patel, NPIs caring and helpful. I am so grateful for all her help and advice towards my health I am prediabetic - NON-insulin user. She helped bring down my A1c from 13.5 in June2019 down to 6.5 November2019. I am now expecting my first child come July2020. I am beyond happy.

Waited an hour and a half after making an appointment..They made my appointment with the wrong doctor and horrible bed side manner . disinfect yourself before you go home..felt disgusting after i leave that place.PS..Id rather go to the bathroom outside than to ever use that bathroom that they have you use. Go somewhere else. After giving me a full exam, in which they never even looked in my ears, I was told I would have the referral later that day for an injury. It took 2 weeks to get a referral that ended up not taking my insurance. I had to call them every day and hound them for it, and only once got a returned phone call. I did get that call from their insurance person, who gave me the office that didnt take my insurance, to be fair. This is a mis-managed cold mess of an office that lacks in communication skills.

Dr Manjarrez is amazing, she listens, never in a hurry. My son was sick over the weekend and they were able to see him early on Monday. Never had bad experiences.
A lot of people wrote negative comments and I was hesitant about going here but the women at the desk were both super sweet, the nurse made conversation with me, and the doctor was genuinely interested in me. Dr. Patel is so kind and really wants to get to the bottom of whatever sickness you have.
Be prepared to wait 2 hrs in the lobby and another hour for the doctor to see you. It seems like they are not equipped to handle the amount of clients they have. So glad i now have private insurance and no longer need to visit this place.

Dont go here. Everyone who works here is unprofessional. Nobody at the front desk speaks English and cant answer any questions. If you dont have any insurance go to Cook County Hospital and forget this place. The entire office is dirty and looks like it hasnt been cleaned in 50 years. I wouldnt come back here if I was dying.

This clinic is the worst clinic the doctor stops your prescrpitions if they dont se you trying to juice money from you its always crowded and the doctor takes forever to see you and when they do see you they just try to get u out the room as soon as they see you really dislike this clinic
They can never get me in when my son is sick and when they do they forget to tell me that they moved locations. Then they tell me my appt has already been moved up because i was late. I was on time to the original location and I was late because I was on my way to the new one.

Very bad service at this clinic. I called in the morning to make an appointment and they gave me one for 2:30pm. The receptionist told me to be there before the appointment time. I arrived at the clinic at 2:10pm, the receptionist helped me and waited until they called me for my shift. An eternal wait until 2:50pm when the nurse arrived to check on my son. And the other receptionists in their talk and laughter. They dont care at that moment about giving you a little attention.I had to leave the clinic at 3:30pm because they never provided care for my son.For emergency situations this clinic is always very bad.I think I prefer to take my son to the emergency room.
