Clinica Sierra Vista - 34th Street Community Health Center

Took my mom for her appointment with Dr.Huerta. Had such a good experience, the facility was so clean and smelled good, the girls in the front were so helpful and had such good customer service skills. My mom loved her Dr and staff they have. Was very pleased since we had such a bad experience with with another clinic not associated with these clinics. Overall I’m super happy with this clinic and everything they have to offer.

Started coming here in September due to pregnancy (this is being my first time going to any doctors office without my parents / being an adult) and all of my doctors/nurses were kind and helpful. The pediatrician for my son and the rest of the staff on the second floor have also been really nice as well (considering we were late twice to appointments). Maybe I just got lucky as Ive read the other reviews but Im grateful for the people who work here and would definitely recommend coming here.

Good place, good environment, nice doctors, but horrible at phone call appointments. Including when you need to know if you’re pregnant or not on hold for 20 plus mins and they can’t get a hold of my doctor cause it’s busy and appointment was at 3;45 and it’s almost 5pm. Very important but not for them I guess.

The 2 girls working the front reception for dental visits went above and beyond for me. They provided the best service. I cant thank you enough for everything. Very caring and helpful.

Ive been going to Dr tony because he cant make me obligate myself to tests I dont need or want or afford or go more often to pay for frequent visits. I had a UTI present itself after my latest visit and they refused to simply call in my prescription. I had to go in and test ect. Never even saw Dr Tony. Dr Perez could have been anywhere on earth through video. I finally had my prescription called in, after about 6 hrs of pain I didnt have to go through.Ill be transferring to another clinic after the unnecessary runaround and charges I objected to from the start.

I took my son due to him having stomach pain, I let provider know mt father had pass away from pancreatic cancer and i wanted to bring my son in just to get checked and she laughed. She treated my son cause she had to but didnt take my concerns seriously.

Dr. Edwin Cabahug is such a great doctor!However, I do not give this clinic a 5 star because I have encountered rude staff through phone calls and a rude nurse.

It’s not about the place, it’s the call center. i have to repeat myself numerous times just to get the representative to understand me, which is extremely frustrating for me, and i also wonder why doesn’t medical records have their own personal number to call instead of going through the number you need to schedule an appointment, it’s pointless in my opinion

My sister took her to the dentist who was having a hard time brushing her toddler’s teeth (she will fight/scream/kick) but still would brush my niece’s teeth twice a day. The dental assistant scoffed at my sister and belittled her saying her partner should hold down the baby while she brushed her teeth. When my sister explained she didn’t have a partner, the assistant said “of course you don’t.” Absolutely disgusting coming from a place where they should be serving the community well and with grace. Don’t ever take your kids here.

If I could give this clinic 0 stars I would , Im referring this review to the 625 34th st location by far the worst i had the worst prenatal care the receptionist are rude they act like they dont care they really need to do better

Might the doctors be good idk becouse this facility is really hectic & unorganized.Everytime I came here they literally tell you nothing, and send u out your way no paper work ! just a we will call you another time I went they made appointments for me I didnt even know of until I got the missed appointment text message. Not to mention they didnt even call me to tell me my results I had to call them . Dont come here you are better off going to urgent care or another smaller clinica

Medical assistants are very helpful when it comes to questions. Very clean, but their doctors are very hard to get a hold of and get information on yourself. Obgyn area is in need of more doctors. They have the wrong address also on google. It’s 625, other than office is great

Hours of operation day 8-8 with walking accepted. The lobby was completely empty and there were 2 cars in the parking lot. Probably owned by employees. We got there at 6:50 and the registration said they were not accepting any more patients because they weee full. I thought she was playing because there were ZERO people in the lobby and two cars outside. It was a Friday night so I’m sure people would rather go home instead of treat the ill like they like to advertise. All we needed was to see a doctor to test my daughter for Covid. It’s embarrassing to see how people just don’t want to do their job anymore. Like why are the doors even open if they are full and not accepting patients an hour and 10 minutes before their advertised hours of operation. Like talk about milking the clock. Our tax dollars at work but NOT at work!! They want to stay on the time clock but not see patients. Some in leadership seriously needs to check how this type of behavior is allowed unmanaged. Shame on you Clinica!!!

This place is so damn annoying I waited 4 months for my dental appointment that I made back in October 9 2023 to be seen February 21 just to receive a phone call today February 19 that the doctor is “sick”!!!!! How the hell is this my problem and why the hell should I have to wait until October to be seen.. mind you WE ARE IN FEBRUARY and October is 8 freaking months away. They shouldn’t have a dental location here if this is how they are. I can’t believe I couldn’t be allowed to be seen by someone else for their mistakes!!!!

My primary referred me to CSV. 1st time patient for a scheduled Pap smear and was left unclothed for 90 minutes. Was told after being seen that more appointments were necessary prior to having a Pap smear done. When I returned to my vehicle it was towed away due to me parking at a pharmacy across the street because there was no available parking at CSV on 34th Street. It took 20 minutes for me to find parking and paid $160 for parking there. I’m never going back!!

Very slow.The layout is strange. They will NOT tell you if you are waiting in the wrong area. (Maybe if you are a preferred type of patient... They might send someone to look for you.)It is up to YOU to know if you are on the correct floor. I missed my appointment and I was blamed. :/Besides the questionable layout and unhelpful medical assistants... They need to hire with diversity in mind.

Daniel Lopez, the gynecologist working here left me in tears after being 20 mins late to the appointment. All he did was fat-shame me and gave me absolutely NO ANSWERS for anything that I went in here for. If you are a woman and obese please reconsider going to him. I am still sobbing from the experience. This clinic does harm to its patients.

Don’t go there. I came to this clinic cause I followed a doctor from another location. I completely regret my decision. They don’t even check you right I am due, and I have only had 1 ultrasound, to which I haven’t even been told how it went. I was scheduled for a second only because I said I haven’t had one since the first one. I have had contractions for over a week and they refuse to do anything to help, because they said “I am 37 weeks, it could be the start of something or it could be something” my blood results were taken like three times or so and still haven’t even been told the results from those, the check ups are her checking the heart beat with a Doppler, and then sends me home to take therapy because of my depression. If I knew that they were going to do that I would’ve ordered the same Doppler on Amazon and checked on myself the whole pregnancy, cause I could’ve literally done the same! THERE IS SO MUCH MORE. just don’t go there.

McDermott is very unprofessional and lacks sympathy. I waited weeks for my ob appointment. She knows of my past miscarriages and for her to respond nope to not see me is unbelievable. Highly do not recommend.

The name of the doctor is Angela Villatoro. The appointment was on the 1st of august and she prescribed two medications to help with the asthma she diagnosed Jordan with. One a daily pill and the another a daily inhaler to use. both helping with preventative care. We called dr villatoros office a week ago to have them resend the medication when the pharmacy said they did not receive it. They said it would take 48-72 hours to be sent over the the pharmacy. The pharmacy never received any orders for the meds. We call villatoros office for a 2nd time a week after the last time. This time they say the the dr has denied my request for a refill because I received medical advice from a different doctor. This is false because dr villatoro was the only dr to prescribe me with asthma and she was the first to prescribe me the two medications to help with the preventative care of it. The Dr will not talk to me because she is to busy with other patients and the office says they can schedule an appointment.

They refused a medication refill for an inhaler which they prescribed. Simple Albuterol (inhaler)and they wanted to schedule an appointment to see a physician so they can charge my insurance.

With all due respect this is by far the best medical facility along ais cancer clinic. They are humble but wait and see how far this clinic will go. I have had the best doctors staff and care here. My brother is a medical doctor so I should know a little. Dr Linh Ngo is the optometrist you should be seen by in Bakersfield do not get elsewhere you will be wrongly treated pushed away and the worst thing is these eye care places get away with their behaviors

I usually never write reviews but this experience was so terrible and I never want people to have these sorts of experiences so I hope this can help bring some change. If I could give no stars I would. We waited for an hour and a half to get help applying for Covered California. The worker said she was leaving for lunch as soon as it was finally our turn and when my mother began asking her simple questions(before she was going to head out for lunch) she was rude, unhelpful, and not attentive at all. She either answered rudely or listened passively while toying with her watch. This isnt the first time my mother has waited only to not be helped with the application process. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE train your staff to be more polite and respectful of other peoples time and situations. Healthcare is such a sensitive and important thing and providing better service should be a priority.Thank you.

You can never get a hold of anyone my ob doctor never calls me back they dont answer any of the my chart messages they tell you they leaved a message for ur doctor and nobody never calls you back at all .think I will be changing my doctors office .the parking lot is always full .when u call they just tell u anything to get u off the phone ..

I had my sons 1 year physical at 3:00 when I get there I checked in. Waiting to to be called. It looked like they where calling the walks ins. I thought if you dont have a appointment they need to wait to be called. Well a hour passed until I told a medical assistant nicely when where they going to call my son because I had my appointment at three she says whose your provider me thinking my insurance I told her I have blue cross she says that doesnt matter. With a attitude I told I dont know whose seeing him the only thing I know he has a physical at three. Then shes like well theres only two providers working right now. Im like ok. Then closes the door 5min later someone comes out calls my son for his vitals she was nice. Then tells me to wait outside until a room is available then they calls us in at 4 they take his blood the room where she was going to put us in the same nurse that was rude to me put someone else in there knowing that the room was for me. The lady that was helping us said sorry I hate when they do that. I told her that was my room I told her its ok. Keep in mind I have two toddlers boys with me that where already tired and hungry. Then we waited until the rude lady finished with the room. The doctor was really nice and gentle with my son. I didnt get out there until 5:30. They treated me like if I was a walk in. I thought the reason for appointments is to be seen at the time of your appointment. I their case is not. Not going back there again.

I was kind of leery going here but the experience was great! All staff seemed very knowledgeable and they were all very kind! Wait wasn’t bad either. I will definitely go backThanks to all of the staff, you guys are GREAT!

I dont know where the people that are complaining about the service they have received here went because Ive always been treated very good here. I may have waited longer than at some of the doctors offices Ive been to in the past but once I was in the room with the nurses and doctor they were very attentive to my symptoms and treated my medical needs with a very well trained and modern approach to medicine they have always figured out what the problem was and taken care of it completely. And they have added chiropractic care at this clinic as well. They are definitely treating the whole person.

This place is no good for public service or your health needs the workers are always Wondering around instead of attending to patients & Customers they are too busy watching security talking about them instead of attending to the patient needs this is not their job to police security from what I see.& No So what I see this customer service the (greeters) are doing conducting them self in this manner also the staff I see this & Here this from them With no concern for patients attending our customer service it’s wrong unprofessional I already see or no Security‘s doing their job they’re out in the sun i’m surprised Clinica of Sierra they don’t know their OSHA laws there well I am a patient but I no longer want get care here no more I also have other patients that are my friends that go there at clinic of Sarah at Clinica Sierra they will no longer come here because of this no service no proper care or attendee no thanks wast of time No care for concern for help

First try last week of December, the wait time was too much even with an appointment, so i I walked out. The second time, the office called me on the same day of my appointment and canceled my appointment due to FNP OGOT being a no show. It is next to impossible to find a good health provider anywhere, much less in Garbage Field Bakersfield. I am living in Bakersfield not by choice, family obligation. So I decided to give CSV a third try, thinking third time is a charmer. I made the appointment online for today at 2:20 PM. Got there in plenty of time before my appointment. I went in, got my weight and blood pressure done, then it was on to the small waiting room. I had all my concerns and paper work with me to be addressed, since I have been dealing with new health issues and there was so many delays. I was waiting to be seen by FNP Ogot, but instead was harassed by Kathryn and Dalia from the Quality and Complaints department over a compliment that I had given my previous FNP Diane Gearhart several months ago. Since when is it a HIPPA VIOLATION TO GIVE A HEALTH PROVIDER A COMPLIMENT ON THE GOOD HEALTHCARE SHE PROVIDED BEFORE SHE WENT ON MATERNITY CARE. I was told by Kathryn of the Quality and Complaints department, that what I did was not right, it went against HIPPA, and that I will not be seen at this CSV location anymore. So I walked out and went home. That is now 2 days I took off work for an appointment that was never completed, the last time was due to FNP Ogot not being in the office that day, and now this day. You would figure, with this current Pandemic, there would be better care and more care, but no such luck. Kathryn and Dalia of Quality and Complaints Department are a big joke and should not be dealing with any job dealing with the public.

To be completely honest I couldnt be more comfortable with the care i recieve from staff. All employees are respectful, kind, and caring. They are adequately trained in their respective departments and do all possible to take medicine to another level by doing their best to make their treatment plans, procedures, and medicine in general comform to the patient as best as possible for the ease and comfort of all patients. All while not jeapordizing the integrity of their care. Pretty impressive. Payment is a breeze and understandable. If you go to this clinic you will receive all care that you need. Awesome place.

Why cant they just fire and hire new employees with a better attitude. And then train then to know everything. Cant believe I waste my gas for them to tell me to make an appointment after I got off the phone asking them if I had to make one. I called to make an appointment and they told me that I didnt need one for what I was doing. I also asked about X-rays and they didnt tell me I had to make one. I head over and 10 min later, you have to make an appointment and we dont have anything until the end of the month. What the! Really!? Im so over these people. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention the chick who answered the phone was super rude. I asked her to repeat the times for the walk-ins and she had the worst attitude. Ugh!

I go there for all my families needs. They are patient and very understanding. I always get a phone call the day before to confirm my appt which really helps us. Everyone on the third floor is very professional and amazing! with my son. It helps Wic is right there I can go there for everything we need and usually doesnt take a very long time. Security makes us feel safe.

I became an emergency patient and I received the best service. Their staff are competent, friendly, and efficient making it possible for me to continually get the appointments necessary until surgery. Thanks again for your great service to the public.

Ive been going to this clinic for over 5 years now and I love my Clinica. After reading the reviews I have to point a few things out. This location is the only clinica in Bakersfield that has an HIV specialist and case managers. A lot of patients there are there regularly and sometimes have emergency situations (not meeting medical compliance or substance abuse) for those existing patients. Besides being a simple clinic, THIS location has MUCH more and offers MANY other services. They have rotating staff for the most part, and that can take a toll on employees. They do there best with what they have, and being part of the low-income healthcare system can make that a struggle. So for first timer patients, be aware that things are not perfect there.......but where in the world is ANYTHING perfect??? Lol.........and for those getting FREE healthcare (as myself), you and I shouldnt be complaining at all.

I went here to get tested for COVID-19, first time ever getting tested actually. It was a pretty good experience, no complaints once so ever. Dr who did it was very polite and considerate, made the experience much better. Thank you.

⚠️ WARNING!!! Dr. MAYRA TOVA CASTRO is completely inept, inexperienced, incompetent and she is the queen of poor choices. In California it doesnt surprise me that she is so inadequate. However , what does surprise me is that she still has a license to practice medicine. Save your life. Dont come here or to any of their other low rent, bottom of the barrel clinics.They are deadly or at the very least negligent.Save your time and save your life.. This place will try your patience and riun your day at the very least...at their worst...they could kill you. I called for an appointment they put me on hold twice for 20 min. 3rs time i yelled at them . And she finally gave me the appointment. Its rude but that da way to talk to them . Naomi is the ladie that gave me the app. Well when i told her why i need the app. She started laughing. Well i really think thats even more rude because. Its not funny i got stress yes that my problem and i dont care if people make fun off me but really it hurts to be like this i dont know what to do and that lady is soppost to help me. I was having stomach issues and it was not heartburn. The freakin doctor (older white lady with glasses) gave me heartburn prescriptions. At the end of the visit she closes the door and asks if everything was ok at home. Im thinking she assumes my stomach hurts from stress. I said yes and she asked if my husband treats me good. And I was so lost like WTH... she said bc of the shirt I was wearing (Las Vegas tee with a girls legs) that I was acting out bc my husband abuses me. OMG. I cried so hard. Like where do you get off telling me that?!! You dont know me. I will never go there or recommend anyone to there. That lady was very out of line.

I have been waiting to see a doctor (nurse practitioner) for the past 4 hours rven though i had an appointment at 9. It os currently 12. I keep getting the run around and every keeps,trrating me like Im being unreasonably irate. This is the second time ive bern put on the back burner and made to wait for the subpar medical care this place provides. After this visit i am never coming back.

I had appointment at 1:30 and im currently still waiting to get called, its 2:38 and im still waiting!! Some stupid, dirty clinic i swear. And to top it off it took me 2 months to get my sons appointment just for a 15 min physical!

Its a crappy clinic you dont really get the help you want or need you basically just got to argue with doctors I even think the place is run by nurses . The MA sat us in the room and after calling us 51 min. after are appointment stated to us that they are not so busy the room was not CLEAN.. It was still set up for a pap smear . !! Tell me why is that we are middle classes being treated like we are poor.!!!

This place is a joke. I go in for a broken humerus and the doctor argued with me about where the humerus bone is. She claimed its in the fore arm. After I showed her a picture she got even more confused about what a non partial fracture is. They dont know what they are doing there.

Very rude especially when you call to try to talk to the people in optometry. I asked to get transferred to speak to someone and they argued with me why i couldnt and never transferred my call regarding my daughters glasses. Very unprofessional

Very bad service, it takes 15 minutes to arrive for x issue and they dont receive you but you do have to wait an hour or more to be attended to, they pass on to people who arrive after you and that is good for them
