I want to start by saying I am a HUGE supporter of Planned Parenthood. I visited this location almost a year ago, regarding a somewhat sensitive issue. It pains me to even write this, but people should know. While I was waiting for the doctor, several nurses were hanging out in the hall chatting. One of them was saying he had a headache and was nauseous. Another gal suggested he take some anti nausea medication. She then goes on to say “I can shoot you up with it” and kept referring to “shooting each other up” with medications. Are the nurses freely able to give themselves medication from the back? If so, what else are they taking? Also, in a medical office, administering medication should never be referred to as “shooting up”, a well know street drug term. Again, what else are they “shooting up” back there?

I come here for my HRT and very happily got prescribed what I needed after experiencing discrimination elsewhere.Everyone here has always been super amazing and listens to my concerns without judgement or bias. The only discrimination I experienced here was from the protesters outside who, very wrongfully, assumed my gender and tried to approach me with their materials. Im good, thanks. While I dont believe Ill ever get an abortion here, I will absolutely go here for my birth control, STI tests and meds, HRT, and reproductive health exams.

My granddaughter was seen at this location. I am glad I took her here, the Medical assistant June and ARNP Anna both were very caring, took time to take care of my granddaughter. The reason I cannot give 5 stars is because one of the older receptionist was rude checking her in. I was helping her to answer some questions, explaining her appt was scheduled at different location for some odd the reason. She told me it doesnt matter?? I am really?? but she totally ignored me and told me she rather talk to my granddaughter. After I told her she has an disability so I am helping her. She look embarrassed, will not check in with her next time we visit. On other hand the other receptionist I think she is Filipina, she was very kind and had no problem with her.

First time i had an appt, i still had to wait 30 mins and ended up rescheduling because i didnt have time for the visit. 2nd visit, the entire visit took about 2 hours or more and all it was was a wellness visit. they asked a series of questions and sent me off. i waited for the nurse/dr for about an hour or more in the exam room. staff was very friendly but i felt my time was wasted & not valued.

I’m writing this review 3 mins after getting my IUD placed in - truly grateful for the compassionate and caring staff that work here. I have anxiety and I was soo nervous about getting my IUD in after hearing horror stories online. However, the staff helped me feel relaxed and comfortable. Shoutout to Francesco and Anna, you guys are awesome! :)I really appreciate you guys taking the time to get to know me and my needs to make sure I’m as comfortable as possible. I’ve genuinely never felt more comfortable in a health clinic setting, it’s a very respectful environment where I feel comfortable enough to share private information about my body to a complete stranger. I am very grateful they offer numbing medicine to help with the discomfort of getting an IUD.To anyone with a vagina who is nervous about getting an IUD: everything is going to be okay! It’ll be uncomfortable and it will probably hurt (I personally had minimal pain, but everyone is different); however it will be over in a few seconds and you’ll be so glad you did it! :) One thing I kept reminding myself to help with anxiety is that the pain of an IUD is far less than the pain of birthing a child. Thank you to the staff for making my first IUD experience as comfortable as possible!

Ive always went to planned parenthood for my birth control and so far they havent steered me in the wrong direction. Everyone is always nice, occasionally youll get someone that hasnt had their daily dose of morning caffeine (and it really shows), but Ive had a great experience here. Sometimes they do a bit extra and they didnt have info on my appointment at all so it took a bit longer. I dont mind since I was getting a bit longer of a break from work. Still a good experience for me though. I got what I needed.

Never answer their phone and their patient portal doesn’t even let you set up an account. Tells you that ur infos wrong even though it’s not. Links they send me beforehand require an “access code” which I never get even though I click request code multiple times. Very unorganized and I will be switching to a different PP after this. Can’t even reschedule my appointment without having to stay on the phone for a year, oh they also say they close at 6 and then close at 4:30 pm.

Upon arrival greeted by a very professional and very sweet lady. The faculty is sparkling clean , I then met a very thorough and kind medical assistant privately for health history and then met a wonderful very professional doctor who addressed my needs . I am delighted and would highly recommend it to anyone without hesitation. I do not ever recommend lightly as I know how important reviews are to people.

Seriously the best experience Ive ever had at a doctors office. Since losing my insurance Ive been afraid to go to a new provider because I have a weird combo of hormone issues which I am navigating at the same time as (non hormonal) gender transition. They were more understanding and professional about my hormone disorders than any of my endocrinologists have ever been (it is the only time I havent been subject to repeated, unsolicited non-medical hair removal suggestions for my hirsutism, ever. What a relief!) and tremendously respectful about my gender status (even asked about pronouns and offered more than she and he)! Knowledgeable and awesome staff too-- Ive had to explain my meds to endocrinologists before but the staff here knew a lot about what I was taking and how it works. They were very supportive, listened to me, offered me tons of resources and I was only left waiting a combined three minutes the entire visit. It was awesome to know they prioritize my wellbeing and consider respecting my identity as part of that big picture. Plus its a seriously advanced office even compared to my expensive old PCP. Even if I get great insurance again Im coming back here for my care every time.

Staff are unorganized and there seems to be a lack of communication amongst them. This makes the process for whatever youre here for more difficult and anxiety inducing than it needs to be. I worry for people who already are high anxiety about coming here being scared off by the staffs lack of organization. They often forget to tell you things or give you things (like labels or telling me I could leave then making me come back right after I left).Staff doesnt know what they are talking about and CONSTANTLY contradict what the website says. They need better training.Go to a different location. This one needs to do better staff wise.

I made an appointment at plan parenthood to get my IUD changed.I got called ahead of time to go over everything they needed from me so that I could be prepared. They did a covid screening when I arrived. They then asked if I’ve ever been exposed. Unfortunately I take care of covid patients. I get screened everyday at work and screened there. I also have zero symptoms and i social distance. As I’m in the waiting room the PA then called me and told me they wouldn’t do the procedure because I’m around covid patients. I understand safety is important but as a medical center there should be zero reason not to do it. No extra ppe like n95 or respirators are necessary due to the fact that they won’t be using anything that aerosolizes. So essentially the same precautions would be used on me just like every other patient. Had I been asked on the phone ahead of time I wouldn’t have wasted 2 hrs of my day. As a healthcare worker I’m very disappointed with their process.

The front desk sucks, the lady sits at the right side of the front desk today holds an extremely cold face and attitude, that’s how they treat their patients? Awful customer experience! This is my first visit for an annual exam but I’ll never come back to the Bellevue location’s. They may have good services but I don’t know because I gonna cancel my appointment here right away. I’m not comfortable to let cold people run an annual exam for my body. Hope she could be friendly to the patients. Please be professional.

I came in to get my implant replaced, but I was told by the receptionist (the doctor did not even bother to see me) that it actually lasts for 5 years, so since I have only had mine for 3 years that I could wait another 2 years. Everywhere I have looked, it says the implant should be replaced after 3 years except for Planned Parenthoods website. Even Nexplanons own website says it must be removed after 3 years. Truly disappointed that they would let me continue to use my birth control passed its expiration for no reason and risk me getting pregnant without even an explanation from the doctor. Didnt feel like my reproductive health was even considered at all. Will never be coming back and would recommend everyone to go elsewhere for sound medical advice (hopefully given by a doctor who actually took the time to see you).

Billing nightmares, testing nightmares . . .So, I come in for an annual exam and general STD testing services. I am greeting and checked in and everything seems to be going fine. A medical assistant takes me back into the room, collects my urine sample, takes my vitals, etc. Again, so far, so good. I am told the doctor will be in shortly. So, I wait. And wait. And wait. 45 minutes later, I peek my head outside the door and ask if someone is coming. The nurses and doctors look around sheepishly and ask my name. I tell them who I am and the nurse says, We will be right in. But then the other nurse says, If that is so and so, why am I finishing their chart and putting it away right now then?. Realizing they completely mixed up charts and paperwork, they apologize and say they will be right in. I tell them, Please, if you mixed up my urine sample, I am happy to give you more because I just want accurate results!. They assure me everything is fine. The actual visit was fine (nothing special, nothing horrid). I check out at the front desk and ask them to make sure and bill me for the total amount so I do not have a bunch of mystery bills coming in the mail. This takes like 15 extra minutes to check the insurance coverage and to check the lab fees, but honestly, I am happy to wait and pay in full today. The visit winds up costing me like $150 out of pocket (plus, the insurance paid even more!). Low and behold, a few weeks later, I get a bill in the mail from their lab saying I owe them $85. But Planned Parenthood informs me they over charged me $85. I try and explain to them that they need to get their billing straight and that I paid in full, but apparently, I have to pay the lab directly and they have no way to transfer the payment to their lab (REALLY!? YOUR OWN LAB!?). Alas, now I am in this confusing mess, trying to get a hold of an actual person over there to figure out how to get my refund and where the heck I am supposed to send the damn check because they cannot sort it out. This place is a mess! Oh, and my test results came back really odd. They cultured the samples and said I was positive for candida (which is normal flora) but everything on the wet mount was normal. In my understanding, you do not culture for things that are normal flora because of course they will be present. The fact that everything on the physical exam and the wet mount was normal should indicate that candida was not a problem. But of course, I cannot even trust their results because they mixed up my file and likely my urine sample and were too shy to admit that. So, I paid a bunch of money, spent all this time and honestly, have ZERO confidence in my test results. I appreciate the work you do overall Planned Parenthood, but you guys need to step it up. You dropped the ball on this one.

Never going to this location again. I went to this location for my Nexplanon birth control implant a little over two years ago. On the planned parenthood website it says Nexplanon works for 4 years but the doctor only wrote the dates for 3 years. On the card I was given she didn’t put her or my name or even what arm the implant is in I had to cross out which arm it’s in. The nurse that went over things with me before seeing the doctor was SO NICE and very understanding but the doctor wasn’t friendly and made me feel bad about getting birth control.. apparently couldn’t even take the time to write her or my name on the card for my Nexplanon implant. I would have posted a review before but I saw I needed to get a new one this year so I went on the website to check if I could get another implant put in the same day I get my current one removed (they say you can) but the website also said it works for 4 years. I thought it could be wrong but it always said 4 years and I even googled the implant itself and it says 4 years. I will still be getting mine removed this year but because of how the doctor made me feel when she put the implant in and the card/simple math problems I won’t go to this location again. I will be going to another location and make sure they put the right information on my next card.I’ve tried 4 times to upload a picture of my Nexplanon card to show the dates and will try again later but for right now it’s not letting me. The loading circle just keeps going around and I’ve never had that when making a review. I wasn’t even prompted to post a picture after typing my review it just posted it. I had to go to the gallery of pictures to get the option to post a picture but the circle just keeps going for minutes :/

Even though I fully support Planned Parenthood, some of these people have put me through a lot and made me feel reeeaaally really guilty for needing birth control.Im not sure if I spoke with someone from the Bellevue location or maybe someone from a help center of some sort, but I called yesterday morning to ask a couple questions. I gave the woman over the phone a very veeery bad, brief version of my situation which was; I missed my depo appointment at the beginning of the month and had unprotected sex at the end of the month. I wrongly assumed I didnt have to go through how this happened and justify my mistakes because I expected the staff at Planned Parenthood to be respectful and understanding. However the woman I spoke with got furious with me. She started yelling at some points, cutting me off while talking, asking condescending and rhetorical questions like well what do you THINK is gonna happen!?. I was asking for clarifications on how my Depo shot works and she kept barking I dont know WHERE you got this INFO but you are WRONG! At the end of the conversation I was in tears and asked what did you say your name was again?. She paused for a second and then hung up. If I went into details of how I got in this situation, I would have explained to her how it wasnt consentual and how the reason I never got my shot was because the clinic messed up my scheduling and was also rude about it. I didnt want to explain this. But if I did maybe she wouldve treated me like a human being.Planned Parenthood staff, if someone reads this, please contact me. I dont feel comfortable using your services right now. I need it, but I feel attacked for something that wasnt entirely in my control. And even if it was, there is no excuse to belittle your clients for using your services.

The first time we came I had an appointment but still waited 2 hours to see the healthcare provider. The second time I called three months out to make an appointment and was told I didnt need one when in fact I did. So the second visit involved a long wait as well. There were apologies offered, but if the customer service and wait time remain ridiculous the apology has no meaning. Wont be back.
