I didnt even want to go to the ER because I dread the long hours of waiting and the lack of hospitality, Today was quick. In and out. They moved professionally…Clean and organized! Opposite side of the Kings County Center -walkway…

Got very close to a misdiagnosis of Leukemia in their ER in May of 2022 because their STAR clinic messed up my CBC. Now two years later and already having paid some bills, they are sending me an atrocious bill for services I never heard of nor consented to. I’ve tried calling accounting for outpatient services for several days and no one answers. You should probably 100% NOT go to this place. Both financially and emotionally traumatized. Give 0 stars if I could.

The hospital is very dirty. They don’t clean the room for new patients. There is a lot of dust and the attention is horrible.

I think this hospital is in competition with kings county thats across the street to see who can be worse. Went to bring my 1 year old to the E.R and the nurse was getting upset that she could not take vitals. After being told repeatedly that he doesnt like to be touch, especially when he has a 103.1 fever. She kept making side remarks and making faces. I told them to put him on a bed and it can be better for since he will be more comfortable. Instead they bought us back to the waiting room and asked us questions outside. They even took the family the was next and gave them a room faster and still kept us outside. All that time wasted. They do not listen and seems too not care.

Rude, uptight and arrogant staff that are practically useless. Had my father here in the ER for a DKA diagnosis and took a day for him to be admitted to a room. He stayed here for 5 days and did not see a doctor at all for information regarding insulin, his lightheadedness and controlling his glucose. Nurses were no where to be seen. Very ghetto hospital, feels like Rikers.

Went in for various things, got treated for none. I’ve been having this pressure in my chest for the past week, and they just wanted to give me ibuprofen. It’s not a muscle cramp. They were understaffed, overheard one of the nurses say that none of them are allowed to take vacation; one of them had vacation already paid for, and had to cancel her trip, because someone quit, also it took them 8 months to find someone to take the jobs, I loved that it was filled with black folks, but to see 26 patients in a day was defined to me to be irregular, and abusive. We should either fund this hospital or help with hiring staff, they have more cleaning staff than they have nurses and doctors. This was just a sad sight. On a high note, they were nice people. They’re just tired of being abused

I didnt even want to go to the ER because I dread the long hours of waiting and the lack of hospitality, I often experience in emergency rooms. I googled hospitals near me and found this gem. Ive been to Brookdale and Woodhull- and I HATE IT!! Brooklyn isnt bad but you still wait extremely long.I decided to come to Downstate and it was the best decision. The staff here is very very nice. The doctor right away, sounded like he knew what he was talking about and they registered me within minutes. Shortest ER experience ever! Would def recommend if your in the Bedstuy, Brownsville and East NY location.

My experience here started just under 18 hours ago, I can easily say that this is the worst experience I have ever had in a hospital from admission to the E.R. up to the doctors who I have been dealing with since I have gotten up the 6th floor. This review will focus on the E.R. visit.I got to the ER around 5pm waited 2 hours to get in and see a doctor. The P.A. in the E.R. was actually professional and good. How ever that is where it stops. The facilities are dirty, and I mean dirt and grit on the floor, candy wrappers and papers thrown every where. I sat on a bleeding wound for over 7 hours , I asked several times to have some one clean up the wound and bandage it but that fell on deaf ears. It was after 1 A.M by the time I was brought upstairs. That is where the true horror show began.

Its an all day wait....wait til the doctor sees you... Wait til the nurse comes.. wait til staff acknowledge your presence...wait till your test results are ready... Wait til the ambulance comes to pick you up.... Get this, they dont even offer you a bottle of water, to keep you hydrated during the heat wave...or a plate of food to patients... Chile prepare yourself to wait..... All day but they are professional and know what they are doing, but the wait tho....

This place is scary quite honestly. I would never, ever want to be treated for a serious condition here. Facilities are very outdated.
