I loved the Dr! Dr Stacy Weiss. Super nice & listened to what I had to say. The check in receptionist could use a smile - wasn’t the friendliest
I have been going here for years yet sadly I referred them to another patient who did not have a good experience with the front office staff who was very dismissive and quick without offering much guidance on a follow-up appointment and info.
Dr. Fargotstien is very pleasant and courteous. She shows genuine concern, takes time and explains conditions clearly. I feel comfortable being in her care and very happy that she is my Gynecologist. All her staff are pleasant as well. Nice and clean facilities to top it off. Strongly recommended!
Dr. Fargostein is wonderful and very helpful, and the facility and nurses are nice. The people in the lab are a bit rude and werent nearly as helpful as the doctor herself.I was told that someone would be contacting me for scheduling for, what to me is, a serious medical issue - but its been two weeks and I havent heard from anyone despite reaching out to the office via the medical platform a few days ago and speaking to the nurse over the phone last week (who just told me there was a note on my file to reach out).
My first time there and was very happy with the thorough analysis of my issues.
The support staff was very kind and considerate. The do tor was very thorough. She listened to my concerns and she explained thinhs to ne in a way I could understand.
Appointment was right on time.Doctors have been very involved and helpful with advice. Nurses were very friendly.
This was an urgent appointment and.the got me in with a great gynecologist, Tammy Novak. She was very good at explaining things and i trusted her diagnosis. She helped me to feel confident regarding the results of my pap smear. The receptionist was helpful, pleasant. Thanks everyone for a great first impression 😀
I don’t write reviews but I understand the fear of trying a new health facility or seeing a new doctor, and after my appointment I suggest if you need a gynecologist to request Dr. Tammy Novak. She was lovely and so was the receptionist and nurse at the Buffalo Grove WomanCare center.I was a new patient dealing with an issue for several months. When I called to make an appointment I was scheduled within a week. When I arrived the receptionist was kind and welcoming.Dr. Novak really made me feel assured that I was being taken care of by someone who is very knowledgeable and that is compassionate about looking out for what’s best for her patients. I always fear that doctors won’t take the time to listen to me, but she heard me out and then explained in detail what is causing my issues and her plan of action. Two things that reassured me she is a great physician was that 1) she took into consideration how my mental health affects my body and was gentle and kind about how we can improve my overall health 2) when discussing birth control she made it clear that one birth control in particular can cause depression and therefor she tries not to prescribe it. I think too often doctors prescribe meds and don’t take into consideration the mental side affects but Dr. Novak doesn’t overlook anything that could potentially have a negative side affect.I’ll continue going to this office for my gynecological care and I hope this review helps anyone that is feeling anxious or unsure about making an appointment at WomanCare.
I used to see Dr. Maureen Duffy at the Palatine location before she retired. I decided to give Dr. Levy a try, and my experience was abysmal.I was the first appointment of the day so I didnt have to take time off work. He came 20min late, which wouldnt have bothered me normally, but it only went downhill from there.I tried to give my history in a very condensed form and he cut me off a few sentences in and said we dont have time and that my history is irrelevant. His recommendation was, no matter the results of my bloodwork, that I just lose weight and switch to oral contraceptives. He proceeded to spend 10min explaining to me what PCOS is, even though Ive previously been tested for this and know exactly what it is - when I told him so, he looked surprised. He could tell by my face that I was unhappy and tried to backpedal with I want to help you ☺️ but the damage was done. I held it together until I got to reception, and asked the woman up front that I want it marked in my file that I never want to be seen by this doctor again. To put the cherry on the cake, after multiple tests he concluded that I dont have PCOS because my testosterone is normal [0.95 with range 0.06-1.06 (ng/dL)]..... Yet COMPLETELY ignored my elevated DHEA [624.3 with range 25.9-460.2 (mcg/dL)]. You know what he wouldve known, if he took a SECOND to listen to me? That Ive previously received inconclusive results for Cushings, and that my labs indicate that something is going on.Im absolutely frustrated and never experienced this in the past with my prior provider. I guess its time to find a new gyno.
I was experiencing a very difficult time and every single person in the office was so kind and genuine. Really love this office.
