They never answer the phones at the office. AZAR was the only one I liked there and she only sees surgical patients now which is stupid. The waiting is ridiculous. Her nurse practitioner Kristin is awful.
Dr. Azar is awesome, very caring. She takes as much time as you need to discuss your issues and your options. Her staff is exceptional they are all very caring and let you know that they are here for you.
I had bladder sling surgery 4 years ago with a well known surgeon in Chattanooga, TN that was botched. He did absolutely NOTHING to correct my problems. He damaged my nerves to my pelvic area and my rectum, long story short, I had major problems. It took me 3 long years to get up the nerve to go to someone else and I have never been more thankful that I found Dr. Azar. Dr. Azar successfully removed my bladder sling which had eroded into my bladder and did reconstructive surgery on my urethra, bladder, and rectum. When I woke up in recovery, I knew immediately that things were different, and all that pain I had from the previous surgery was gone! She gave me my life back! Her staff is the best, and I have nothing but good things to say.
DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME I was dropped as a patient due to “non compliance” because i chose to see a family specialist instead of the one she referred. I had surgery that Dr. Azar did with another surgeon. She dropped me when i’m still having post operation issues like not having a period 40 days post operation. Her office would not answer until I called from a different phone number and then i was told i’d have to wait for the office manager to come back from vacation before i could get any answers. This was also the DAY i had an appointment and I’m still expected to pay for the appointment that i was told was invalid. On paper Azar can find issues and is good at that, mostly her staff like Deb the NP was the best, but i’m highly mad at being dropped. but more scared because i’m a 19 year old who still has no answers as to why i’m 40 days post operation and still no period, especially after a miscarriage. I always recommended Azar but no i won’t. because what her office did was wrong and now i’m left with no answers.
My PCP referred me to Dr. Azar. I immediately began researching her credentials, reading her website as well as her reviews. I was extremely impressed. My husband read them as well and said, Whats the catch? Meaning, of course, that she was too good to be true. I followed up with my visit and told Dr. Azar what my husband said and her response was: Well, if you find there to be a catch then you let me know and well correct it. During my appointment she was thorough and explained issues in terms which I could understand. She even recorded our conversation concerning the problems and what wed discussed. She sent me this recording, via her personal cell phone, so I could play it for my husband. Along with the recording there were videos for me to watch concerning the surgery prep as well as aftercare, following surgery. I was also told that I was free to call her if I had any problems or concerns regarding the upcoming surgery. Now, how many of you reading this have ever been given your physicians cell number to call if you have questions? One quality which makes her stand heads above other doctors is the fact that she listens and spends time with you. Shes not standing with her hand on the doorknob in an attempt to rush off to another patient.Fast forward to my major surgery (4 procedures) on December 15th. The morning following the surgery Dr. Azar was there at 6 AM. I told her the pain medication was working but was wearing off too soon. She said shed put in the system to double the amount the nurses were giving me. An hour later my pain was ramping up and I asked the nurse about the increase. She said Dr. Azar hadnt entered it into the system yet. Therefore, I texted Dr. Azar & told her the situation and this was her response, 4 MINUTES later: I have instructed them to bring now. Sorry had an emergency consult that got me sidetracked. They will be right there with relief. As I was reading her text, Jenn (my fabulous RN) came rushing in my room with it. Let me also add that the 2 nurses and 1 tech who took care of me all said, I love Dr. Azar. They each told a story of her impact on their lives. Yes, there are many brilliant surgeons. However, its rare when they are humble, attentive, compassionate and kind like Dr. Azar.Id also like to reiterate what other reviewers have said regarding her office staff. They are all absolutely wonderful - kind, cheerful, knowledgeable and respectful. Dr. Azar, her staff and hospital nurses are like a brief bit of utopia here on earth. Im very grateful and wish our entire U.S. health system could be half as good as the operation she runs. Thank you, Dr. Azar.Vicki Suttle
I have left a review and some how it was deleted I will be reporting this to google. I was seeing doctor Azar for over a year everything was fine until I needed surgery. I was alarmed when no surgery consultation was scheduled and I was told just to schedule the surgery. I insisted on a consultation due to the fact I have issues with pain medications they either don’t work or give me heart palpitations. I am autistic which means I get emotional raspy I cry very easily so while talking with doctor azar I began to cry we are talking about surgery after all that’s scary! Dr azar then gave me a perscription for pain killers which she said “take home and try even if your not in pain” this made me very uncomfortable I decided I would try the medication when I was in pain on my next period. A few days later I receive a text saying I have been dismissed from the practice and I would be sent a letter explaining! I never filled the prescription I called the office several times trying to find out what happened and why I was dismissed and I never received my letter! Very unprofessional! Some people are afraid of medications and surgery and some people cry this is what happens when dealing with human emotion! Why I was dismissed for this I will never understand but now I am in pain bleeding heavily and have no care I will forever be traumatized by this experience.
My PCP referred me to Dr. Azar with high recommendations. I had multiple problems repaired surgically and I am so thankful Dr. Azar has been my physician and surgeon. I would highly recommend Dr. Azar as well as her excellent staff.
Dr. Azar is the most caring, compassionate Dr ever. Not only has she saved my life a few times already but she can make you laugh when times get tough with your female health. All of her nurses and staff are awesome too. I am sooo thankful for her. Thank you Dr Azar!!!
Dr. Azar and her staff are the BEST.. she cares way beyond about her patients. She went on a vacation and still called me about my problems. I have never had that happen. She cares not just about what you are going to her for, she cares about everything that has to do with your health. Mentally, physically, emotional, pain, ....it does NOT matter, she jumps in with both feet to try and help you.DR. AZAR IS THE BEST!!!!
Dr. Azar is an awesome doctor - very personable, caring, and extremely smart. Nurses and staff are always friendly as well as informative. If I could, this place would easily be rated 7* from me!
Dr. Azar inspires confidence, has expertise in many areas, and also has such obvious affection for her patients and love for the work she does.
