This place is so unsanitary. They let literally ever single person in line for a rapid test inside the building. Probably about 50+ waiting in line the other day. The waiting area is not very large, but once they opened the doors every single person swarm into the building. If you didn’t have covid, you probably do now after entering this building. The picture doesn’t even show all the people that came inside, this was only about half. So terrible.
Seen by SANTA on Christmas Eve 1 hour before they closed. GREAT experience for me and my 4yo. Lady at front desk was patient and kind. The doctor was dressed as Santa and so nice to my sick kid. THANK YOU!!
Was promptly greeted, moved quickly to an exam room for initial vitals and was seen soon after by the doctor.Wound was cleaned, tetanus shot received and prescription was sent to local drugstore for an antibiotic very quickly. I had stepped on a nail that penetrated my left foot.Received excellent care and a thorough explanation of the medications received.
Place is very nice and clean. Front desk staff could honestly be nicer. She is the first person the patient sees and she is setting the tone. Not a good thing. No smile. Barely looked up. Doctor was wonderful.
The receptionists are all so very sweet, and attentive. We never have to wait long to be seen. Dr. Stella George was very informative and thorough when helping me understand what was wrong with my son, and the after care that needed to be administered. I enjoyed the visit immensely because it is very hard nowadays to come by a good physician when dealing with your little ones. Ive recently moved to CT 2 years ago and still venture out to NY for my kids pediatrician because she is the best thus far. I hope Dr. George has an interest in pediatrics or family medicine in general. I would gladly change from NY and go to her here in CT.
We use this facility as a family. It was not our first time going in. Yesterday I was feeling very sick, when we entered no one was on the front desk. Me and my husband waited there for couple mins. As I was not feeling good and after waiting and standing I took a seat by the check in window. Few mins later staff member comes from the back with the food plate in her hand and said can’t you not sit here till I call you for the help ( something around in those lines not sure what words she used) the way she said it was very rude and disrespectful. As I was sick already and was having a rough day I said ok but you could have said it nicely. Whole time after that while she was helping me she had an attitude. Even when my husband wanted to talk to her she was rude to him and stood up and said I am not here to go back and fourth with you “if you are not satisfied you can leave and go some where else” We were shocked that what is she saying. I commented to her that patients come here because we don’t feel good and you can’t treat patients like this. Inside staff was pleasant and like I said it was not my first time going in but this visit was the terrible experience. I asked her for her name and she said my name is Rosa and I don’t have a problem giving you my name in very rude voice. I think she was hungry or should I say hangry. Miss Rosa we all have bad days but that doesn’t mean that we need to be nasty to sick people or any other who come for help to you. I hope management takes care of this and take this feedback and talk to her.
After testing positive on an at home test and having another at risk person in my home I went in for an actual test. I was borderline belittled by the staff. The nurse asked if I tested positive at home, then why was I here. I explained my situation and she stated that’s “we’re not gonna tell you anything different”. The doctor gave me more of the same and seemed bothered that I was there. They did however have zero issues taking my money. If you don’t want to deal with people, go into a different line of work!
Great place to go for all your medical treatments when your primary care is closed. Highly recommend. Staff is friendly and physicians very warm and knowledgeable in their fields. Getting medication is easy as it’s all electronic and gets sent directly to your pharmacy. Scheduling can be done online, to avoid long wait time as a walk-in. Comforting to have such a great, clean place close by when medical care is needed.
Great staff, quick sign in and no wait time. Only issue was slightly long waiting time to be seen by doctor, but she was great worth making my 4y.o son comfortable when assessing him.
Staff at front desk seemed very unwilling to help work with me. I had insurance issues and they seemed rather annoyed and were unhelpful. I went to another walk-in clinic in Shelton with the same issue and they took me in right away and were super kind.
From the front desk to the nurse and doctor were all respectful and comfortable especially that my husband and i were not feeling well at all the doctor came to the room swiftly and took care for us both and took her time with us and met our needs. Feeling even better today from the antbiotic that was prescribed . I will go thete again if needed. Godbless
All staff were professional in demeanor.Physician was amiable, which put me at ease during visit/ exam.Clinic is spacious and very clean.
Concerned and friendly staff, from check-in to exam. In and out in under an hour and prescription sent to pharmacy immediately, including the staff verifying pharmacy hours for me. Great for me and my children.
This was my first time taking my daughter here and I must say, this facility is BEAUTIFUL! From the moment we checked in and filled out paper work it was such a pleasant experience. The front desk and medical assistant were amazing and made us feel very comfortable. Will definitely be going back here if we ever need to.
Im taking a moment to share my familys harrowing experience at Optum in the hope that no other parent has to go through what we did. Our recent visit to this facility was nothing short of a nightmare due to the staffs utter disregard for their duty of care and their complete lack of professionalism. When my son fell ill and needed immediate medical attention, we rushed to Optum expecting compassionate and efficient care. Unfortunately, our experience couldnt have been further from that. From the moment we arrived, we were met with rude looks and dismissive attitudes from the staff. We were shocked to hear them make unprofessional remarks such as we cant see him, which was both infuriating and heartbreaking for us as concerned parents. In our time of need, the staff at Optum turned us away, prioritizing their own convenience over the well-being of a sick child. The lack of empathy and understanding was appalling, especially considering that these individuals work in a field that demands compassion and a commitment to patient care. The manner in which my son was denied care at Optum is inexcusable. It is my sincere hope that no other family has to endure the stress, frustration, and emotional turmoil that we faced at the hands of the staff at this facility. I urge anyone in need of urgent care to look elsewhere for medical assistance, as it is evident that Optum cannot be trusted to put patients first.
I went around 5pm. It was nice. The personell was cortious. It was a bit slow considering there were not a lot of people. However, I believe there was only 1 doctor. He was very attentive.
Very pleasant and competent staff. Clean comfortable new office. My only complaint is the lack of ability to schedule an appointment
My goodness, my son’s visit was perfect. He didn’t fuss, he was cooperative and comfortable. Optum literally gets it done! My son’s pediatrician always claims “a cold”. Not Optum!
I won’t even give this place a 1, Walked in at 6:45pm for my 8 year old to be seen, was helped right away, no one else in the waiting area. Brought into a room by 7:10pm and sat here for over an hour to be seen. They close at 8pm. Unacceptable and I will not be returning to this urgent care. Staff very nice but the wait was ridiculous when no one else was in the waiting area. I actually had to walk out and say I was leaving for anyone to acknowledge us.
Went in for late night stitches on a Sunday, glad we could find a walk in open then! The place it self is new , really big, beautiful and clean! We waited about 5min in the waiting room and about 45 in the care room. Staff was nice and accommodating! I gave it 4 stars because they “don’t really do doctors notes”…. according to all staff members. They only print out after care instructions and a really short visit summary. Noting stating that someone can’t work for 7 to 10 days with stitches… If in a pinch I would go back but if other places were open I would not simply because they don’t do doctors notes.
The woman who did my triage and the one who examined me and gave me the results were wonderful; However, the receptionist left a little to be desired
This urgent care was amazing! They took us in right away due to no wait as well, and everyone was so sweet and informative. The medical assistant was kind and so understanding if my situation. The doctor was fantastic and relatable. I had my 2 yr old and baby with me so my hands were full. She was so thoughtful enough to walk me all the way out to help with the doors!!!! I would definitely recommend here!
Walked in at 6:30 pm with my daughter in pain with a UTI- before I could even get to the desk, the receptionist (Rosa) was shaking her head with an attitude. She told me they couldn’t see me because theyd take their last patient and seen so many throughout the day. There was ONE person in there who got called in when I had just left. What were they going to do? Twiddle their thumbs for the next hour and a half? The sign on the door says “Everybody Welcome” and it says they close at 8 online, walk ins welcome.I called from the car to speak to a supervisor and Rosa was extremely rude and hung up on me twice. She said the supervisor wasn’t in until tomorrow and told me to go ahead and call her supervisor because she doesn’t care. She wouldn’t answer towards the end. I highly highly highly do NOT recommend!
The receptionist, and nurse were very courteous. I only had to wait 10 minutes until I saw the doctor. He was very good at diagnosing my b issue.
I will certainly recommend this to anyone in this area. Went to the one on Pershing and Division St in Derby. Loved the kindness and understanding that staff and Dr Kennedy had for me. I felt very good on how he kindly spoke to me and explained what i needed to know. Thank you all for caring for me.
Not my problem and rushed me out the door. My main problem still persist and the doctor acted like it was no big deal. Never going back what a waste of $500
I walked in at 706pm and was told sorry we are done treating people for the day. The waiting room is completely empty and the hours clearly states they close at 8pm. Not good enough
If I could give this place zero stars I would. The young lady at the front desk was very rude. I came in for issues with my eyes, and she turned me away saying that I was rude because I rolled my eyes at her. Well sis, I am here for an eye problem. I asked for her name she told me she dont have to give it to me and I should leave. Very rude. Will never come back here.
Office & nursing staff was friendly and helpful. First visit with Dr. Byron Kennedy was very rushed- he was in and out of the room in under 2 minutes, didnt ask any questions, and misdiagnosed me. Came back a day later when it was getting worse and had an excellent experience with APN Kirsten Fitzgerald, who was thorough, kind, listened and explained thoroughly. Overall a mixed experience.
I went Optum Urgent Care with an arm injury at end of August. I was greeted with professionism and able to get immediate assistance. The staff and the PA were exceptional.
Couldn’t believe I was able to get a 6:30pm appointment on a Sunday while every other walk-in clinic was closed, Riverside was open until 8pm. The staff was friendly, very helpful/informative, and quick to provide care. Not only did the provider Dr. Kennedy do my COVID test, he also prescribed medicine to alleviate the symptoms I came in with (not related to Covid) and answered all of my questions. The nurse was also super friendly and comforting. The facility itself was super clean and spacious. Probably the best urgent care clinic I’ve been to.
Reception staff were not thorough. Said they could not find my file. Had to call my employer to have them call, only for them to be told they had found my file. The facility never called me back. When I called to confirm that my file had been located reception staff was rude and unprofessional. Medical staff were polite and professional.
The first time I went the doctor was just amazing. The last two times I went were awful. The website said they were open until 3. I arrived at noon, and even though the waiting room was empty, I was told theyre not taking any more patients. They said I can come back at 8am the following day.I arrived shortly after 8, and was told again that theyre not taking any more patients. I explained that I was told to come back in the morning, and the girl at the desk got an attitude and replied well as you can see, there are a lot of people here already. So rude. Why advertise being open for walk-ins if you wont accept any walk-ins?
While the wait for my covid test was ridiculously long that is not the fault of the staff. The staff was very professional and once I was eventually seen things went rather quickly and smoothly. The doctor was also very helpful with his suggestions.
I am a frequent Patient.I am extremely happy with the care and service.I would recommend Optum Urgent Care in Derby to all of the people I know and meet.I live in Waterbury and pass meany Urgent Care location business but I only use yours Thank you.
Fast & friendly service. The facility is very clean. The staff is amazing. We were amazed with how friendly they were with our daughter. Highly recommend.
The doctor at this location is extremely rude. I went twice thinking she could’ve just been having a bad day the first time but had the same experience with her again months later. She is very rude and on both occasions she tried her best to make me feel uncomfortable. Talks down to her patients and even becomes outright rude to patients which I experienced with her twice. She’s aggressive and uncaring, exactly the opposite of how a doctor should treat patients.
Came in with my husband who most likely has the flu to get him seen and confirm and rule out anything else. We arrived at 6:20pm and were immediately turned away (even though they only close at 8pm). The receptionist said they weren’t taking anymore appts today because of “short staff” and to come back tomorrow. I could see if we showed up 10 min before closing to get that response…but this was unprofessional. I didn’t realize this is how urgent cares work nowadays.
I was skeptical about going to a walk in clinic but with two kids sick with a fever and throat pain over a long weekend had no choice. I was so glad I went!! The whole experience was so good, I liked it better than my own pediatrician’s office. The person who registered us, the girl who checked both kiddos and ran both a covid test and strep throat test and the doctor seeing us were all wonderful. I’m so glad I went, they rapidly sent over a prescription to cvs which is right across the street. I was relieved to have it all taken care of so quickly and professionally. Thank you for making what would have been a nightmare of a weekend so much better!!
Very quick friendly service. I was registered as soon as I arrived and was taken to a room in less than 5 minutes. Everyone I saw, the girl who registered me, the nurse and the doctor were all very caring and comforting during a difficult time. This is not the closest walk in to where I live but it will be where I choose to go.
The female employers were very nicePatient;Understanding; And took their job serious with a smileI’d like the environment,Very clean.
I called for an appointment this morning g and was very quickly confirmed for a 10:50 AM for a Covid testThe building is very pretty and meticulously well kept inside. The registration process was quick and easy. Both the person who did the test and the doctor were friendly, understanding and empathetic. They were very efficient and helpful I like the convenience Riverside in Derby provides!
I have used this walk in several times for my family. It is local and the hours are convenient. I do feel the wait times have gotten much longer since they do rapid covid testing. I waited an hour to be seen for a possible ear infection. 3 people in front of me were having rapid tests done after coming home from vacation. Things might run more smooth if a certain check in window and rooms were for covid testing.
Overall from start to finish, was a very friendly, very informative experience. It was as professional as it felt personal with the interaction with the medical staff.
This was My first visit to Riverside. Staff were very polite and short wait time. I’m taken back however by the medical assessment. I had a sore throat and the only thing the provider did was look in my throat! As a medical professional myself I was always taught best practice is to listen to heart and lungs with all patients. Additionally the whole “system” of the chief complaint should be assessed. That wasn’t done, neither were my ears looked at or lymph nodes checked. They didn’t even check a blood pressure, another important thing. I may return if I really needed to in the future only because it’s close and I have medical knowledge to assess myself. I just needed a strep test that I don’t have access to on my own.
Outstanding staff, outstanding level of care. Place is very very clean. They tell you right up front if there is a wait; they just don’t leave you sitting there. All of the staff very pleasant and professional. I highly recommend them
I had an amazing experience at Riverside Urgent Care. I don’t usually write reviews but feel the need after dealing with the overly empathetic, kind staff yesterday. They were so helpful in a difficult situation, especially the girls at the front desk.
Easy to make an appointment on line. A reasonable wait time once I arrived at the office. COVID Test done with Positive results. The PA Gentile showed care and compassion when she informed me of the results. Making sure I know the next steps.
Medical care was good. Don’t believe that making an appointment online guarantees you a specific time you will be seen. You still have to wait in the walk in line. I had an appointment and waited 1.5 hrs after before I was seen. What’s the point of making the appointment? They also told me I made a reservation. The verbiage on website says appointment. Website does not tell you you still have to wait in line. Not medical professionals fault but they get the brunt of angry patients. BTW- face to face with medical provider took less than 2 minutes.
Called to see if their a walk in, but was told I couldnt bring in my sick child till tomorrow. A rapid test takes minutes thanks for nothing. Yes my child is vaccinated, has no fever, or cough. I just wanted to rule out the flu, and covid to be safe. They dont close for hours.
I went there because of something pretty simple. All of the ladies that were working that night were welcoming and professional. Greeted when I first walked in. And I was seen by someone within just a few minutes. A pleasant visit.
The location is new and beautiful, the doctor on the other hand wasn’t my favorite. He diagnosed my daughter will severe allergies but never looked up her nose or listened to her breathing. I asked a few more questions but the Doctor was adamant she was suffering from allergies. Gave her a script for coughing and sent us on her way. The poor kid was up all night coughing so much she started vomiting. Needless to say, he guessed wrong.Calling her pediatrician or a different urgent care clinic again today.
Front desk receptionists are extremely rude! I loved going to this walk-in, so convenient and all the doctors i have seen here have been great but the office staff ruin it! I have been there many times and have had bad experiences with them. I called recently to schedule a COVID test. After explaining to Erica why i needed to be tested she started going on about how they wouldnt test me because i have no symptoms and all this stuff quoting the CDC website. I explained that i still wanted the test for a piece of mind since we did come into contact with someone known to have COVID, she continued to be rude. I am a medical assistant and know my stuff so idk if she just thought i was clueless. I asked for her name and without telling me it she quickly placed me on hold. when she came back on the phone her tone completely changed as she told me that the doctor said it was ok to book the appointment. Funny to see how her attitude changed once she knew she was wrong. This place needs to re-evaluate their staff and get some good people in there, they will be great if they do that. Unfortunately if they dont they will continue to have poor reviews.
Came in with my mom last night, she has been coughing for a week straight (not Covid) and they refused to see her, basically told us to go to ER. It was 7:15pm, so I get it they just couldn’t be bothered. Very disappointed in this place and this treatment. Took my mom to urgent care in East Haven next morning and she was seen right away and prescribed what she needed.
Took my 89 year old mother to Riverside Urgent Care for evaluation because she had a terrible cough. Upon entering Riverside everyone was so professional and nice. The Docter who took care of my mother was patient, caring and very thorough. This is the third time using this Urgent Care and I would recommend it to everyone.
Would have been 5 stars if didnt wait so so so so long. The gal behind desk was terrific, friendly, competent, professional ONLY the wait (bc of Covid testing) was brutal! The Doc, PA(?) was fantastic. A+ bedside manner. I had little rash on my wrist and she assured me it was a spider bite and would disappear after taking antibiotics. She was right!!😁
I love how the nurse and Doctor treated me.Especially the Doctor who really helped and was very concerned. I recommend that Doctor 24/7. 👌
I had a fantastic experience at this facility. Customer Service was superb both at the front desk and in the treatment room.
Doesnt deserve a star. Rude people working inside making all the patient feel bad about their sorry story and making us feel like they are doing a favor. Reminder that they can pay their bills coz of the customers! Not a single method of efficiency of executing smooth work. Lacks a good system that can speed up and make all patients convenient, instead they work for their own convenience. Most mind boggling unbelievable thing was, they were only doing Covid test for 60 people a day. We stayed in line at 7.45am and finally was done at 4.15 pm. Not joking... all day for 60 2 min Covid test. We were on the bottom 15 people of the list. Registering for each patient took approx 12-18 mins with unnecessary stuffs. then we were told that 12 people were ahead of us to test which takes around an hour... but it really took one hour 48 mins. I have taken dozen of Covid tests before never took more than max 5 mins ever. They are wasting time for unnecessary stuff to gain unwanted sympathy and feel bad sorry story. No room for such a complacency. How is this place in business? there are many other Urgent care places around the vicinity with efficient staff and courteous behavior towards customer and faster better service. DO NOT Go there.
They were able to sneak me in for a last minute Covid test that I needed in a hurry as well as an office visit for my cold. The provider was very nice. More timely and friendlier than other walk ins. I think I’ll go here next time I need a Covid rapid swab as opposed to AFC in Shelton.
If I could leave 0 stars I would. Over 2 hours after my scheduled appointment b4 I got in. I am now waiting in the lobby. Parking lot is NOT full and I have not seen more than 5 people walk in or out for over 2 hours. Avoid this place! Go anywhere but, here. Forgot to mention how rude the receptionist is. No respect for my time and acted like I owed her extra manners.
I visited Riverside because it was a weekend and after 5pm. My sons pediatricians office was closed. The on call nurse advised me to go to an Urgent care after I explained my sons symptoms. This was the only Urgent care open on a weekend after 5pm.Initially, I thought the facility was clean. the receptionist was friendly and the nurse was helpful. Unfortunately, that is where it ended. The doctor on call was extremely dismissive. I explained that my son had been experiencing bad headaches and congestion for a week. I had been giving him over the counter meds, but they were not helping. On that particular day, he also began to experience ear pain. I wanted to make sure it was not an ear infection. The doctor gave him a VERY QUICK once over and proceeded to walk out of the room without any type of explanation. I actually had to stop him and ask what ok meant. His response was that his Covid test was negative. I asked again, what should next steps be since my son was still in discomfort and over the counter meds were not working. He stated, I checked him and his assessment is remarkable. Follow up with your pediatrician. Every question I asked was met with, Defer to your pediatrician. Not sure what was the point of visiting the urgent care if the doctor would only tell me to defer to my sons pediatrician.Needless to say, I needed to wait until Monday for my son to see his pediatrician. Upon first look in his ear, I was told he had an ear infection and she immediately prescribed antibiotics. It is so unfortunate that my son needed to experience an extra 2 days of discomfort. This was my first and last visit to this facility.
The service was very quick and efficient. The staff was very friendly. My problem was diagnosed quickly and a prescription was ordered for me. Process took less than an hour. Im impressed!!
If I could give zero stars, I would. Basically they denied me medical treatment by telling me I don’t qualify for paclovid even though I do. Oh and that was without even seeing me or asking how severe my symptoms are. Even when I told them how bad my symptoms are, they still they couldn’t give out the med. guess I’ll have to go to ER. Thanks for nothing. After reading others reviews-how many people is this place going to refuse medical care to before it gets shut down for neglect?
Came in for a covid test since I had a lot of symptoms and was not feeling well. They did a 3-round test for covid/strep/flu and all came back negative. The doctor was still concerned given my symptoms, so they did another covid test which was positive! If they hadn’t done another test, I would’ve been walking around infecting everyone! Very happy with their care and going above and beyond.
My child has had reoccurring ear infections and of course the next one started on a holiday weekend. We already have an appt for tubes to be placed in a month. I was afraid his ear drum would perforate like a previous time so I wanted him seen before I could make a pediatrician appt. The provider was not thorough and dismissed it after I mentioned cough, he said because “coughs suggest viral infection” and he noted extra ear wax on exam and probably the cause for my infant pulling in them. I told him the cough appears to be a response to not wanting to swallow because he would wretched and gag. Told me to use steam and saline spray. He did offer a Covid and flu rapid swab, the friendly and engaging medical assistant BARELY touched my child with the swabs, not shockingly both were negative. He did not offer to attempt to remove the ‘extra ear wax’.Next day, we go to the pediatrician as I planned regardless. My 11 month has another ear infection and prescribed antibiotics. Abundance of wax was not mentioned or need to be removed to exam and diagnosis.I understand that the clinic provider is not a pediatrician but I feel that he didn’t take my maternal concerns seriously or complete an appropriate assessment. Not only am I a mom, I’ve been a pediatric nurse in the hospital for more than 15 years. 2 Stars because the MA was kind and the place was clean. Okay if you want a rapid Covid test (or not) but I won’t go back for much else.
05/27/22I go here because its convenient and clean. Usually prebook it and i dont wait too longWas seen on time today. Covid pcr test. But was done a bit too quick in my opinion. DShe checked my bp but not temp. Though i felt asymptomatic. Was asked twice why i wanted the pcr rather than the rapid which felt a little interrogated. But was probably just procedure.03/21/22 Ive usually had a reasonable experience here, and its local. So i booked another visit today for a covid test. I was full of cold, my chest was wheezy and just wanted to check. Place was empty and i was seen straight away. The assistant was good. She did the usual bp etc. Even offered a flu test too, which i accepted .But when the doctor came in, he told me both tests were negative and handed me the paper results. I thought that was it and I was getting up, until he said hed better check me over anyway. And literally at arms length he had a quick look in both ears and down my throat, listened to maybe 2 heart beats, a breath of each lung, pressed my forehead and cheeks to see if it hurt. Said its probably a sinus infection, did you want me to give you something or do you want to go to your primary to sort you something? !!Not impressed.(Older post)Professional and friendly. Waited a while between various steps of the visit. The doctor, Kirsten was very personable, helpful and informative.
Took my 3 yr old here for a bad cough and runny nose, since I had a decent experience with provider Rick Shah last time.. The wait time, front desk staff and nurse were great but the actual Provider, Byron Kennedy, was not. He came straight into the room barely said his name and went straight to wash his hands. He didnt ask us what we were even coming in for or spoke with us at all. He grabbed his otoscope and went straight to check my 3 yr olds ears and mouth. She freaked out and he did nothing to reassure her she was okay aside from saying Im not going to hurt you. Once he finished that he walked straight out the room. He came back 5 mins later, opened the door and stated we were done and could get our paperwork at the front desk. We asked if we could get a letter stating when my daughter can return to daycare and was told he couldnt provide that because she has symptoms and we have to see her pediatrician. Such a total waste of money and time! Will never come here again. Id rather go to the ER than deal with that again.
Amazing care. They take care of their patients efficiently. When there is a wait they thank you for your patience and they don’t rush even though they are busy. They make sure each patient gets the attention they deserve. Highly recommend!
Even though I waited 4 hours to get tested for Covid, all the Staff there were very pleasant. I know I wouldn’t want to be working in healthcare at this time, I applaud them. Thank you for doing what you do every day during these uncertain times.
Overall it is a great facility. Clean, and friendly. I just wish the doctor would have laid down the examination table to do a full abdominal examination. But Ive gone here several times and all in all good customer service.
I’d give zero stars if I could. I called to check in (10 minutes before my appointment, like the solv app says to) and was immediately placed on hold. No ‘how can I help?’. Just ‘thanks for calling riverside, can you hold?’ *Click*. I was on hold for over 15 minutes before my call was actually answered. The receptionist who answered the phone sounded almost annoyed while asking me some questions. She told me that there were 6 people ahead of me, and she would call when they were ready to see me. I waited 2 hours past my appointment time, and still no call, so I left. The time management in this place is awful. The receptionists are rude. I’ll be going elsewhere from now on.
Service is horrible. Had an appointment for 5, waited in the waiting room for 10 minutes. Nurse came to bring me to a room and checked my pulse ox. at 6:05 i still wasn’t seen so i left. there was only 2 patients i’ve seen the whole hour and 5 minutes i was in there and they both questioned the nurse how much longer it would be.
When I first walk in first thing you notice how beautiful and clean the waiting area is the receptionist on both ends were outstanding in their jobs very respectful gave straight questions to my answers answered all my questions professionally extremely impressed with the people that were working in the front desk I cannot stress that more the service that was given to my daughter was impeccable very professional very informative a they were extremely helpful when it came to answering questions that my daughter who was 13 had asked extremely honest helpful they made you feel comfortable and I left out there very satisfied in the highest regards I recommend everyone to give them a chance and go and experience what I experienced not too many places like this and I have no reservations to ever use them again for any problems I wish them all well and thank you for your professional and outstanding service thank you
It doesn’t even deserve 1 star, but you couldn’t leave a review with out it!! Worse place ever!!! I called at 3:00, for a Covid test, which yes I have symptoms and my family member is positive!! I was told at 3:00, I COULD NOT COME UNTIL 5:30, to put my name on the clipboard, and they take Covid test names from 5:30 - 6:00, I went in at 5:30 on the dot, and was told that I can’t put my name on the list, I should have come earlier, and basically told me to kick rocks and took the person behind me, who was there for a possible ear infection!! She was very rude and said to the person you are the last one going on the list!! Where does any of this make sense!! I work in medical as well. And I would NEVER be able to treat people that way, and say I don’t know what to tell you!! But a possible ear infection is more important!! Yes I am vaccinated by the way!! But that doesn’t mean anything with Covid!!! I’m beside myself with this place!!
It was in and out but the nurse only checked my blood pressure and tested my for COVID and Strep then went ahead and falsely reported on my chart that my temp was 98 which would obviously mean I’m okay, along with other false information. When I came home my temperature was 104.3 and would not go down.
Needing a COVID test because my husband was already positive, I was lucky to learn of your testing location late, Wed. night.I joined others already waiting in the line at 7am, for the 8am opening. I had my written results and was on.the way home before 10.I have already recommended Riverside, and will continue to do so for your professionalism and help to the community in very trying times.
Our Dr was great with my 6 year old. She busted her chin open at the pool and needed stitches. The Dr talked her through the whole process, step by step and was so kind and patient.
I made an appointment for 11:20am for a covid test so that I could take a lunch break from work and go. When I got there, I called and was put on hold for twenty minutes until I was checked in. Then I waited another hour and a half (the waiting list emailed to me said that at that time, I had 1 person ahead of me) to see how much longer it would take. I was told it would take another hour and a half and that there were five people ahead of me. I mentioned that I had an appointment for 11:20 and that the waiting list said there was only one person ahead of me. I was told that the appointment is not an appointment, but a reservation and that the waiting list given to me was not accurate at all. I had to leave without a test, and lost two hours of pay for absolutely nothing.
The best Urgent care in the valley . Always courteous and emphatic, premium patient care. Simply put, quality and excellence all around!
The provider was late and I was in alot of pain due to my kidney stone. The experience was nice and quick.
Kirsten Fitzgerald, APN is absolutely amazing. I saw her for an unplanned follow-up after being shunned from my primary cares office for having any symptom that resembled covid. Kirsten Fitzgerald, APN took the time to listen to my every concern and did a thorough exam. I arrived as Riverside feeling defeated by my illness and the healthcare system but left there with a feeling of comfort and was relieved to have a new treatment plan. The front end staff was also amazing. They handled my frantic phone calls in a very caring manner, had all my questions answered during each call and got me in to been seen instantly once it was needed.Keep up the good work Riverside! Im feeling much better thanks to you all.
Came here two days in a row to try and get a covid test done for my job. Both times was left with the phone ringing for over 20 minutes even though the first time I went there was no one there besides me. When I went inside to tell them that I’ve been on hold I was rudely told by the receptionist that their phone hasn’t been ringing at all and to call again. If I could leave no stars, I would. You’re better off going to the Urgent Care next to Aldi’s.
I went to the urgent care today because I have been having constant stomach problems. Both my husband and I requested to get tested for Covid and additionally I requested to be seen by the doctor there. The receptionist took my insurance info and I paid the co payment upfront. The receptionist asked why I wanted to get tested and what my symptoms were, I then shared all the details with her. When we went to the exam room the nurse took our temperature and checked our blood pressure she also asked me what my symptoms were and wrote it down. When the doctor (Doctor B. kennedy) entered the room he looked at our ears and mouth, went back out, got our covid tests, handed it to us and told us to have a good day. I told him I was to be examined. He then told me “I just examined you”. He attempted leave without informing me of what I should doregarding my stomach problems or what I have. At this point Im wondering why two of his assistants took down all that symptoms information When he didn’t even review it. Seemed like I had to try to keep asking him questions which he should’ve informed me himself. This was a complete waste of time and money. I will never see Doctor B Kennedy again
Absolutely unprofessional staff, rude, careless, unrestrained people thinking only about the money first, very cowardice. They have promised one thing and by the end they are collecting money and are not keeping their promises. They dont care about your health and their reputation. I strongly advise you NOT TO VISIT this Urgent care. From my side I wont visit this place anymore. They are nor conducting the Western way to do business and acting as a representatives of a third world. We cant have this type of services in America.
Pretty quick, friendly and professional service, although the doctor was a little patronizing when I asked if testing positive for strep would require me to stay home from school “No. That’s not how it works.” Ok then.
We were taken in quickly. The doctor took great care of my young daughter. He quickly resolved the issue and treated her very professionally.
Made a covid test appt at 230 because i was sure i was exposed. Checked in at 227. Was swabbed at 230. 15 mins later an actual dr came in with the results. Told me they were negative and still gave me an exam. Checked my nose, mouth, ears, chest. Asked a few questions, and even wrote me a prescription for antibiotics for a sinus infection. Was out of there by 3. Love this place
I went down to Riverside walk in yesterday and it was the fastest I’ve ever been seen by any doctor soon as I walked to the door I went up to the desk I sat there may be four minutes and the nurse told me to go have a seat and they’ll be with me in a minute and it was less than four seconds after I sat down where they calling me in. So then I was seen within two minutes After getting into the room I was in and out of that place in under 15 minutes with a diagnosis and prescriptions waiting for me at CVS overall hundred out 100 Best Place I’ve ever been. nice nurses and great doctors I strongly recommend going if you have anything wrong with you that’s not life-threatening you go to the ER for that LOL.
Worse place to walk in sick and in pain. Walk in 6:30pm stand in the line for about 10 minutes only for the assistant at the front desk refused to check me in. She said the person before me was her last patient, I must come back tomorrow. The closed sign on the door clearly said 8pm
We went there today and was automatically given a negative poor attitude by the receptionist. She even refused to take my wife and threw her insurance card back at her while saying in a very disrespectful tone and way “I’m not letting you get seen here. I don’t care.”
They were fast clean and nice but once one of the providers came in i didn’t like his attitude and judgment of what i had going on while i was trying to explain my symptoms
Yesterday I wasn’t feeling to good i call urgent care in derby I ask if I can be seen and right away they told to coming. As soon as I got there the staff was quick friendly and super helpful ( sorry I can remember the staff names but trust me super helpful).i met with Dr.Kamash he has a great personality very knowledgeable and very professional.will recommend this clinic to anyone.
They forgot to give us a receipt for the co-pay. I asked them to mail it home. The office staff refused. They “had no stamps.” Everyone I spoke to was condescending and unhelpful. Why should I drive an hour to pick up a receipt, when they could mail it? Every other doctor’s office has stamps!! Makes you wonder what else they cheap out on.
Aside from the young lady at the front desk with a nasty attitude, my experience was pleasant. The doctor and nurse were extremely friendly, courteous and prompt.
It was good. Got the results I wanted in a timely manner. They did how ever look up my name from my drivers license (f. Sean beckerer) and not my 8nsurance card (frank beckerer) so when they found me they did not have my adress and phone number in the computer under the name they looked up.
I’m 100% grateful for this place. I was sick for two days and went to the hospital and had no diagnosis or prescriptions. I came to urgent care and they helped me immediately and I felt better within the next two days. I can’t say ty enough to Dr. Kamash
I am literally sitting in the waiting room. The receptionist is asking me all these personal questions. When I tried to speak low, the receptionist yelled I can’t hear you. I told her I don’t want everyone here knowing why I’m being seen for. She then proceeded to tell me to take it to corporate. Very rude!
I’ve always received friendly service from Riverside. I have also recommended family members to go to Riverside and they have been just as pleased. Keep up the good work
This was my First time ever in Urgent Care didn’t know what to do. They took their time helping me which made me feel very comfortable The Doctors took their time explaining and answering any questions. Would HIGHLY recommend Riverside Urgent Care
Staff is very condescending and rude! This isnt the first time either. They treat you like trash and are very invasive for a covid test! No other place asks about your personal health for a test! What does anything have to do with covid?!?!! I waited over an hour to come in and even after no one was in the waiting room they made me.wait half an hou. Will not be returning
The medical staff are great patients, caring I was really impressed truly angels of service
One of the quickest, most convenient, and efficient walk-in clinics around! Additionally the SOLV App makes booking an appt and filling out all paperwork quick and painless so once you arrive you give them your name and within minutes you are being called to a room and being seen by a provider!
My visit was very good the staff was amazing Dr. Bill was awesome hes the best I would recommend anyone who needs care to go
Extremely clean friendly well organized facilityDoctor and nurse were very kind and caring to my granddaughter
Very professional and caring staff. Easy to book appointment. Fast covid test results and time taken to really find out about how my health. Definitely will go back when needed.
After visiting several walk-ins this is place is my favorite. The place is so clean and the staff so courteous. Made my son comfortable even though he was in pain. Absolute best walk-in in my opinion.
They Definitely dont have customer service. I asked front desk girl for her name 3 times and she said why do I want her name which doesnt make sense. I think anywhere you go you should have peoples names finally gave me her name Andrea. If you work in a medical facility you should have more education on how to treat citizens. After given all information still had everything wrong once I received my texts to finish the paper work. Please management review your staff, not doing great in some areas. Thats all have a blessed day
Hey optum!shout out to your front desk people for being HARSH/DISRESPECTFUL towards older people.if youre dealing with something please dont take it out on the people who are old and cant express themselves because their english is not their first language.
They are always very expedient, professional, kind, courteous, and very thorough. I highly recommend Optum Urgent Care!!
Clean facility. Followed safety and covid protocols. Waiting time was between 5-10 minutes. Doctor came promptly after nurse. All staff was friendly, professional and courteous.
I was in and out within an hour. Workers pleasant and physician assistant was polite and explained everything.
Awful place!Toke my bf there this am for upset stomach, vomiting, chills etc. Whoever saw him introduced himself as a doctor (what a joke)...ended up giving him treatment for a sinus infection and cough 🤦🏽♀️ Antibiotics that will make him go to the bathroom even more. Did not examine his abdomen and disregarded all the complains that my bf had, even vomiting in front of him.We ended up in the ER at Griffin, finally with the appropriate diagnosis and treatment.
The staff that is at the front desk was very rude. She told me I couldn’t receive a doctors note for work which is okay, but the way she said it wasn’t alright. I told her she doesn’t have to be rude and she said she doesn’t have to take me in .
I received a text confirming the wrong date for appt. and after I pulled my son out of school I was told to disregard the text. I then explained how stressed I was and needed to get my son tested and was hung up on. Horrible service!
So today I was feeling under the weather so I went to riverside urgent care when I arrived the front staff was very friendly and caring of my needs and got me right in the I meet with Dr kamash he checked me out and took very good care of me answered all my questions I would highly recommend this clinic to anyone thanks for taking good care of me
I was well treated with dignity and respect. The place is small to my knowledge they are doing their own best. Everyone seems to be nice and professional.
My appt was very thorough and very quick. Dr Rose was awesome, so friendly. I would definitely use this place again!
Nice office, very pleasant staff! I scheduled an appt online they called me in with a few min. I definitely will be going here again when needed.
Poor service ive been waiting almost two hours. and girls who work in reception are really rude i watched them talk about and complain about patients as they walked away from the desk. Dont work in a job like this if you hate your life!!
Very polite and warm welcoming with very rapid service my 8yr old son was extremely comfortable I would recommend them over physiqueone urgent care in Derby Ct they mistreated us so badly my 8yrvson was literally crying we waited so long and still didnt get seen at physiqueone so we left amt went to Riverside it was lilke a whole different world
Thank God for this urgent careI had a good experience there yesterday, the wait was very short and the staff were great they made me feel very much cared for and understand my treatment and diagnosis I can recommend them to anyone .
The entire staff is EXTREMELY efficient and knowledgeable. I received excellent care and am grateful.
I saw a PA-C named Marc. He was both kind and well informed. Compassionate and an excellent communicator. By all accounts, a very competent clinician.
The almost three hour wait to be seen didn’t bother me at all, it was the complete lack of bedside manner from the staff when I finally got in a room. Never again.
Best walk-in experience Ive ever had the PA was amazing the nurse was amazing everybody was great thorough and careful really nice people really helpful.Thank you
It was a great experience everyone was nice and friendly it was a timely visit The doctor was very thorough he was great I will definitely recommend Riverside urgent care to my friends and family ❤️❤️❤️
The receptionist in 8/13/22 at 830 am was the rudest, unprofessional in the medical field, I’ve have every seen. Management you need to teach your help about customer service!!!!!
Great service, very organized and clean, never a long wait and doctors and PA’s are knowledgeable and great!
This place is great. Staff is very friendly. Everything moves at a great pace. Would recommend making an appointment to avoid wait times.
They were very attentive to my needs and very courteous. I would definitely recommend them if you need to see someone right away.
The staff is very professional and polite . The office is very clean and well maintained. They are straight forward no hidden fees. The doctors are great .
Went for pre employment drug screen and apparently nobody is here to to the screening. An hour after they open.
The staff at Riverside Urgent Care of Derby were very efficient, helpful, and very professional. I will definitely refer them to others.
Fast, efficient and very good at what they do. I felt listened to, and Dr K. addressed all of my concerns. Two thumbs up.
I come here all the time because it’s convenient and fast usually the people are very nice but today the receptionist was having a bit of an attitude.
Fast service.. clean environment.. staff has great energy and are very attentive.
Top notch customer service, each worker was polite, helpful and made the long wait time much more comfortable. 10/10 would recommend!
Im very grateful to the doctor and stuff who help me with my allergic reaction. Theyre awesome very nice and very accommodating. Thank you so much.
I went over to Riverside to get a Rapid Covid test and they charged me a $65.00 co-pay and then they tried to tell me i wouldnt be able to fly on a plane unless i took the more invasive Covid test and i would have to pay Quest out of my pocket.I feel as tho they were trying to just make as much money off of me possible. The PA tried his best tto get me to agree to the test.Aweful service.
Not only was the staff helpful and knowledgeable I was seen quickly and diagnosed just as quick
All’s they do is send u to the ER they are no help what so ever. Don’t waste ur time go some where else. I also made an appointment for 11am and I had to sit in there and wait for walk ins to go before me.
The receptionist is very unprofessional and very rude when I asked to speak to someone else I was told they are all in a room together and no one was available to speak to 🤣🤣this place is a joke sad doctors bedside manner sucked as well . I would never go back and would never recommend
Riverside is my favorite Urgent Care for sure!!The facility is very clean and the staff is always kind, helpful and professional!!I always have a good experience here!!
Attended to me right away and i got to see a real doctor that i dont even see at my PCP. Friendly staff , nice atmosphere. Hope i dont need it again but i feel good about this place
Well organized and very prompt all the staffDr was Great!
The entire staff was very caring and professional, took care of me in a timely manner and took my complaint very seriously. I would highly reccomend Riverside Urgent Care of Derby.
Received a muscle pull in my shoulder. I received a steroid & muscle relaxant, but the pain is horrendous. Secondary pain all around my my neck and lower back.
Went by fairly quickly and the Doctor on call was very attentive to my issues and addressed my concerns.
Just rude They make you feel like youre taking up their time and they just dont know what theyre doing My eye is worse than what I wanted Never go there again
Wonderful staff. Care was provided quickly and efficiently with expertise and empathy. Wonderful
I love this UC. The only one I go to. Staff is super friendly and the providers are very knowledgeable.
Clean office, kind, knowledgeable staff. I was in an out and got the diagnosis and medicine for my son that his pediatrician failed to give. Thank you all 😊
Do not go to this place they are terrible. The doctors are terrible. They do not care about the patient only the money this place needs to be reported for neglect.
Such nice people there. Went for a covid test and despite the vast number of people there, they were so warm and friendly. Would definitely recommend this place.
We had the best experience - friendly staff and Luis was amazing. Thank you to all for taking such good care of our little guy
Great service and friendly staff. Appointment was quick and effective. I scheduled online and went in the next day.
I showed up there on a Sunday of a holiday weekend. In my time of need these people took care of me. What else can be said. I couldnt give a higher recommendation
They are very professional and caring. Love this office. Excellent workers
Staff was courteous doctor took the to explain my diagnosis in and out on a reasonable amount of time
Truly a place that is concerned with the care of the people that come in. I was very happy with the way I was treated. And even more impressively with the cleanliness.
The wait after getting in was way too long, the waiting out side cold i got there around 115 and was done around 530 other than that the staff was awesome and caring ❤
They’re always quick and very nice. I’ve never had to wait more than ten mins
Great staff, Clean office.I would highly recommend.
Very courteous and professional. Didn’t wait long. Appointments were easy to make
Riverside Urgent Care I had stitches taken out and they were very quick and very very nice people that work there
I Always have a good experience . Employees are kind and knowledgeable. Never a long wait.Rosa is awesome !!
I dealt with 3 people there over the phone and in person and each was ruder and more condescending than the next. There is another urgent care 5 doors down in the same complex. Ill try there if needed down the road
One unprofessional person, the rest were very professional made up for the bad apple, got the job done overall thumbs up.
I loved it his place all the worker were very nice clean and neat on time and very Polite of all places I have gone this one was the best
Really happy with this urgent care center. In and out quickly with prompt and attentive care. Highly recommend!
All staff is awesome. Timely service. Professional. Caring and sincere. Excellent with children of all ages.
They are so professional, understanding, helpful and caring. They do not treat you like a number. They treat you like a person.
I have needed medical supervision my entire life and I live next to a hospital I promise with my heart and soul NOBODY WILL REGRET BEING TREATED AT OPTUM
Do not go here for a PCR Covid Test when they say 3-5 days they mean it.Go somewhere elseIf testing is really that important it can’t take that long to get results.
Waited for 20 minutes to get checked in and waited for another hour after getting due to short staff, otherwise very friendly service.
Had ears flushed and the doctor did a great job and fast service. Tks
Very friendly compassionate and professional place. they go one step beyond. highly recommend this place..
Never seen a medical site like this one. Terrible! Would never recommend to anyone. I’d rather go to er and pay more than to deal with them.
I think the doctor was very thorough. I am glad I went thank you
Everyone is so nice! They pay total attention to their patients
Great people. Always feel welcomed. Very organized and visits are always fast!
Very good service but the wait was very long to long
Professional and quick walk in clinic! Thank you for your service and help!
An hour or so wait but they did what we needed them to do
Waited outside in my car for a hour for a phone call that never came and when I called back they said they called and I did not pick up. Horrible process just to get through the door.
Very slow with service. Supposed to be a walk in clinic I’ve been waiting to be seen for over an hour. And my visit is a 2 minute visit.ridiculous service
Professional and quick service. Staff very friendly and welcoming.
All the staff was very pleasant and helpful and there was not along wait at all.
Went in for xrays, staff was very friendly and accommodating. Quick in and out!
This place stops taking in walk-ins and doesnt put up signs to let people know before they walk in but they can put up signs that say they stop doing covid testing for the day.
I always am satisfied with service and people there. Keep up the good work.
Very clean place the from the admitting to the Doctor very polite and professional very attentive to my care.
Very professional, very polite. Helped me understand what was going on.
The doctor was personable and excellent!
