I thought I would write a review of my experience here at the urgent care as I’ve been sitting here for almost 3 hours now. I would have spent the same amount of time at an ER. They couldn’t figure out my billing even though I am VA and they show they serve the VA on the counter. They had me fill out an iPad and then wait for almost 2 hours. Finally go back to a room and I’ve been in here for almost an hour. How can a Dr not see 4 patients an hour? There were 6 people ahead of me and I still sit here. It’s nuts that they can charge you $165 for a visit and treat you like this.
We needed a sports physical, so we ended up here. They charge $60.00. The wait is ridiculous anytime you go to urgent care, and this time was no different. 4 people total checked in at the time of our visit. We were the 4th ones, of course. It took over 2 hours until we were brought back to a room. Once back there, another 15- 20 minutes waiting.N.P. Karan Thomas is the one who sees us. She is amazing, and the only reason I go back even though I know the wait is excruciating each time. Thank you, Dr. Thomas for being so kind, knowledgeable, and having empathy. You make the experience worth it.
I made my appointment online, which was very simple. I had to wait about 15 minutes after my appointment time, which is less than most doctor’s offices. I was evaluated and prescribed medication within 10 minutes. Staff was very kind and efficient. I would recommend them!
Very convenient to get in for an appointment. They accept Medicaid.Clean , quiet and friendly staff
Smooth process, very kind + attentive staff. We were in and out of there in less than an hour. Very impressed with this clinic.Edit** I had to return the other day as a follow up from an ER visit the week prior. I wasn’t getting better, so I went here to follow up.Before I came in, I saw several negative reviews from the NP Karen. While she does have a dry personality, I have to disagree with the negative reviews. We initially disagreed about her first approach, I was kind but firm in my response. She immediately apologized and restructured what she was saying and was completely validated. I believe she is a great woman and a great provider. Just most likely misunderstood from the dry personality. Thank you, Karen for taking good care of me a getting me on the road to better health. 🤍
My co-pay is 200 bucks. Took my child in because my childs doctor is out. And everyone else is booked. Brought him here to get evaluated. The staff was sweet. But my sons symptoms have progressed. They want to charge me again.
I really appreciate the friendly service and care they have provided. Ive gone for myself and my kids several times over the last couple of years when things just dont seem to happen during regular business hours. Everyone has taken good care of us and called to follow up after the visits. Thank you!
They refused to write me a work note. And then when i asked about the law he got defensive because he heard my significant Other in the background (Who is able to hear my medical Records) And started to say he couldn’t Go any further with the conversation & Then hung up on me , there was never a conversation about my medical history being talked about. The provider was A Male named Bruce and Very rude. !! Never ever ever going back here.
The only urgent care around that doesnt accept my insurance, even though I verified that they are in network, and even gave them step by step instructions WITH A LIVE AGENT. They were very rude, and refused to even try following the step by step instructions because.....they dont do that???? 10 out of 10 DO NOT RECOMMEND. Literally go to ANY other urgent care.
The receptionist and the Doctor were very kind. The Doctor seemed to know what he was talking about. The examination was thorough. I was satisfied.
Came here on Friday. Let them know aside from my charts already having it that I have a heart condition. Got prescribed medication went to pick it up only to realize its a medication I cannot take due to my heart condition...... WOW. Called Saturday they told me they would give me a call back with what to do or if they had changed it etc here it is Monday never heard back from anyone.... good thing I know what I can and cannot have cause I definitely would have been in the hospital or worse.Edit: its now sep 25th. I recieved one response from wecare@wellnow (the comment below my review) asking for my DOB and the address of the physicians care I went to.... since responding to them.... I have heard nothing back.... this was Sept 18th.... smh
Made an appointment for my husband to get x-rays. Was taken back at his appointment time where they asked what happened and took his vitals. After sitting in the room for an hour, the doctor comes in and tells him that they have no x-ray tech today so he would have to go to the ER or wait until Monday and go to OSMC.Maybe next time say that before waisting out time and money!
So a year or so ago I had accidentally cut my finger (very bad) at work. I put bleed stop on it, wrapped it up and rushed over to get it looked at. They said they couldnt see me because I had gotten the bleeding to stop. I was beside myself that they wouldnt even clean it up and bandage it for me. At that time I left a 1 star with no review.Dont ask me why, but today I went back in for a bad sinus infection I have. We have top notch insurance, but like many other comments on here, they said itd be $200 to see a NP.Id say fire that snotty receptionist, but she fits in perfectly with the rest of the staff. When your company is rotten to the core you have to cut the head off the snake and start fresh.
I was very happy with my care at this facility! We travel full time so when we need a Doctor it always feels like a “crap shoot”! I am so happy I chose this Urgent Care. The wait was not very long, the staff was all great and the PA I saw was wonderful and understanding of my condition. I would highly recommend this facility to anyone in need. Thank you
I was taken in as soon as I got registered.Every one was so nice to me.
If I could leave zero stars at all I would. I went in for a reoccurring illness that I am prone too, the NP Karen Thomaswas rude from the jump, she had the audacity to ask me why I came here instead of the ER. Um let’s see like most Americans my insurance sucks I work for minimum wage, and needed to get seen. I’m sorry I brought you business she then had the nerve to attack my life choices, because they did not match up with hers. When I was cracking jokes and using dark humor about my situation she decided to get even ruder. I have worked in the medical field most my life and I have never seen a NP act like that. I am utterly appalled at the treatment I have received at this place.
Always quick and reasonably priced. Staff members are efficient. I have been here several times over the years, and I think other peoples low stars come from the patient being rude, not the staff. Maybe the receptionist was changed, because when I went, there was a man out front who was perfectly kind and got me registered quickly.
Took off work early , had an appointment . Had uploaded my insurance card and Id before the appointment. When I get there told that they don’t accept my insurance and it would be $165 for the visit . That’s ridiculous. I just had my other son there a few weeks ago ( after the new year ) and there was no issue with my insurance.
I felt like I waited a long time to be seen, even though I made an “appointment”, but it wasn’t terrible. Waited in my car until they texted me that a room was available. Personnel were all friendly and upbeat, even at the end of the day. My nurse was friendly. I only waited a few minutes for the doctor, and he was personable and thorough. He explained what was going on with me very clearly and then explained the prescriptions he was giving me. Really great experience!
I’ve been here a few times and had a couple of awesome experiences, however the last two times i have been here have been absolutely horrible. The first time a doctor was extremely rude to me for simply misunderstanding what she said. The second time I go in for excessive bleeding post partum and the woman at the front desk is full of nothing but attitude towards me for no reason. I understand having a bad day, but perhaps your staff should find a different line of work if they can’t handle simple customer service with patients. Especially when I tell them I just had a baby 11 weeks ago.
Staff was very rude and not a single person, seemed to care how I was feeling and it was almost a rush to see how fast they could get me out of there. I’ve been sick with a soar throat , mucus chest congestion, sinus and ear pain, and a fever for 4 days straight now, and both medical assistant and NP had an attitude asking “what?!” “What?!” Every time I said something. Just got the impression I wasn’t being taken seriously or given the time of day. I work in the medical field and could never speak to patients that way.
Excellent experience. With all the different sicknesses going on we had to wait 45 minutes, but just what they said. Our Nurse (male -sorry didn’t catch names) was so friendly and kind to my 15 year old daughter who felt horrible. The NP (young female sorry didn’t get name again) was comfortable with excellent bedside!!! She told us the best way to get her on the mend from flu and make sure we don’t spread in our house!
We had an appointment and explained why we were there. The receptionist was very short with remarks . She was anything but friendly. Won’t go back to this urgent care. Went to CR 6 and was like night and day. Very nice and friendly and polite.
I was disappointed. I TESTED POSITIVE for covid, and the nurse practiction said I was too healthy to receive any anti viral drugs. Im 57 and had body aches, fever, caugh, and stuffy nose. I was told that if I tested positive, they could write me a script. The when I did, the nurse practitioner told me Ivermectine didnt work and refused after all! Tbere is plen y of evidence that it is an effective antiviral. This was very disappointing.
I have never been here, we usually go to mishawaka. Yesterday I had a small emergency with my 6 year old. We walked right into urgent care. The staff was very nice and understanding. We were in and out within 30 minutes. I was impressed. Normally when I take them to the doctors and that’s with an appointment we still wait close to an hour. This was a good experience for me in a rough time.
My experience has always been easy and good. The doctors are caring, and the nurses are kind. However, today I witnessed the front desk staff lack any form of empathy for the older generation needing to be seen.An older gentleman asked to be seen, and the lady said he had to complete registration on his phone. He said he doesnt have a phone with that capability, and is there another way? She said no, he has to do it on his phone thats just how they do it. They went back and forth for a while, but she did not offer any help, any other options, nor any basic human empathy for him or his wife who later came in to try to help as well. The front desk staff just kept saying if you dont do it on your phone you are declining to be seen!?!?I cant imagine if my grandmother came into an urgent care to be seen and was treated that way as she also does not have a smart phone with that capability. There should be at best another option for the older generation and at least some basic empathy for them or offering them other solutions or advice on where they might be able to go.
Myself or any of my family will never be go back to this urgent care. The nurses are friendly, however, the nurse practitioner, Ms. Karan Thomas, was so rude, disrespectful, unhelpful, and did not seem to care about me or how I was feeling. Would recommend you go to any other urgent care to avoid this woman.
My husband called to make an appointment for me. Spoke to a gentleman, for what seemed in length, who forwarded new patient paperwork to complete prior to arrival & confirm a 1:30 appointment time. Paperwork was completed & returned almost immediately upon receipt. Upon arrival to facility 15 minutes early, we walked inside to advise of our arrival & then thought we could simply sit in the waiting area until being seen. The woman at the receptionist desk was so rude & condescending in her approach. She kept grilling my husband whether “we’d been called in”?! Puzzled, he asked her for clarification several times of what she’d meant by her question. He continued telling her we had an appointment & that the paperwork had already been submitted. Obviously, if someone is confused by your question, I’d stand to guess that they had not been advised of new patient protocol & procedures at time of booking. She sent us outside to wait in our vehicle. Approximately 5 minutes later, we get a text to come in to provide payment arrangements. Seriously?! I’m sick & really not up to walking back & forth needlessly when she could’ve collected payment during her initial inquisition. I was stewing in my truck during that 5 minute period thinking about how unprofessional she was & felt she needed a customer service & more humane approach refresher! I quickly went inside to ask if there had been someone else working the desk just a few hours earlier?! That’s when she stated that they utilize an answering service. I advised her that perhaps she should redirect her unprofessional, rude approach to the answering service who clearly did not explain protocol. I asked if she really thought that anyone sitting in there really wanted to be there & if she thought they really appreciated her lack of compassion & rude demeanor to boot?! I could see that appointments were useless there as several people looked like they’d been there waiting quite sometime & had yet to be seen. Be a little nicer as compassion & kindness can go a long way. I would neither visit this facility in the future nor would I recommend it!
Keep up the amazing work you guys do. Everyone there has such astonishing and considerate bed side manners that are beyond what I would have ever expected. Thats usually the reason why I dont go see a doctor due to how I have been treated and why I refuse/ hesitate to go or prolong seeing one, but you guys definitely did not make me feel like I was less of a person or someone that had nothing wrong with them! So thank you for that and also helping me get the answers I needed and the best treatment plan! I will always go to you guys if I ever am in the need, but also I wont have to suffer or procrastinate seeing a doctor when I absolutely need to see one either because of how well you treated me.
I have never been treated as badly as I was here. When first getting hooked up to my insulin pump, I had a severe headache in the morning from my blood sugar going from 400 to 110. I explained to the male tech why my head was hurting so bad. He left the room to explain to the dr why I had come in. Then I hear “ she has a pump and her blood sugar fell and now she has a headache, ITS CALLED NORMAL” . Being an RN , and feeling terrible, I did jump out of my room and inform JENNIFER ( the techs name that made the nasty comment) that she should never talk about pts that way. She responded that I have DM1 and I have a pump. I told her what you feel and “have” has nothing to me. I let her know she was the most unprofessional healthcare provider I had ever met!! I will NEVER GO BACK!!!! I SUGGEST IF YOU WANT TO BE TREATED HUMAN AND NOT LIKE A PERSON WHO DOESNT HAVE NEEDS DIFFERENT THAN THEIR STAFF, YOU DO THE SAME!!!!
Couldn’t have been more pleased! Got an online appt. and was in and out in 20 minutes. Walking in, I was greeted by the receptionist, then saw the nurse, followed by the Doctor. All of which were very pleasant and professional. I would recommend this place highly! Keep up the great work!!
Made my appointment online had no issues with registration and insurance. Get there and the lady at the front desk tells me it’s gonna be $200. My insurance app told me it was covered here. $200 is absurd for a doctors appointment
I had to go to Physicians Urgent Care on 1/8/23 for a problem that needed to be taken care of.I made an appointment for 1/8/23 & we got there at our appointment time.Angie was great! We were in and out in a half hour and she gave me a script to take to get filled.Ive had to go there last March for a very serious illness and she saved my life!I highly recommend this facility and Angie Zielinski, NP.Thank you!
They are perfect for quick scheduling. I have used them more than once with a sick child the night before and then schedule online and go in the morning. Their team is knowledgeable and helpful. They are also very accommodating to your own parenting style and personal medical choices.
I injured my shoulder on the job and Dr. Angie Zielinski has been the most wonderful doctor who truly cares and is an utmost professional and knowledgeable doctor that Ive ever had. My job isnt very understanding when people get hurt and she insisted I remain off work to heal properly. Other doctors would of had me back to work and my shoulder would of never been the same. I appreciate her as a doctor and a person.
They were prompt and caring. Nurse took a great history and really listened. She was really good at her job. The Doc was just as impressive, really listened and was very knowledgeable. I was in great hands which made me feel very relaxed. I would highly recommend this Urgent Care!
Went to Physicians Urgent Care for a puncture wound on my foot. The office was very clean. The entire staff was so kind & professional it brought tears to my eyes. They were unaware of my rough work week. My experience with them brightened my day and eased the stress of the week. Thank you so much for keeping it kind and professional!
Had an appointment at 3:00pm Im still sitting in the waiting room at 4:02pm. What is the point of an appointment? The lady at the front desk was incredible rude not only to me but every customer who came in.When I made it back to the office the doctor went over my head and asked my son what does he identify as. This is an absolute violation! The doctor here does not care about how you choose to parent your children.
The front desk staff person was friendly, courteous, and efficient. We set up an appointment ahead of time and we were called back right around our appointment time so we had minimal wait time. The nurse who took our sons vitals was friendly but she smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. The doctor did a thorough check when he came in and answered all of our questions. He did take a bit of time to come back with the discharge paperwork and our 2 year old was starting to get cranky. But, overall it was a pleasant experience and we will definitely go back again.
Made an appointment for a strongly suspected case of strep, and I had to wait for a bit past my appointment time, but it was late in the day and was only 20 minutes, so I wasnt bothered. Once I got my intake done - still in my car - I was called in and my vitals were taken and I was swabbed in less than 5 minutes. PA was in within 10 minutes and I was out the door in another 10. I always recommend this place as opposed to any other rapid care clinic - fantastic staff and super quick service! Make an appointment if you can, since that will always help!
If I could give zero stars I would. The receptionist is the most heartless women I’ve ever met. I explained to her that I kind of needed to be seen and she was being so unkind and no help whatsoever. Whoever is letting her continue to work here is beyond me. She’s a real POS. No one should be leaving a medical facility in tears because of the unkind and heartless staff.
Staff was extremely rude, employee got right in my face. Had he not had a mask on he would have spit in my face. I brought my wife as a witness and she was appalled. Said he was going to contact my employer. Im 62 years old and have never been talked to like that in my life. He wasnt qualified to sign my paperwork and the person that is wont be in until Wednesday. Thats the day Im supposed to start. Would not let me take the drug test. Employees of that caliber should not be working in a professional setting. In my thirty years of driving, Ive never had a DOT tech talk to me that way. Im disgusted.
Everyone was helpful & friendly at Physicians Urgent Care Clinic. I made an appointment time earlier in the day & I was seen & attended to very quickly. The PA was knowledgeable, easy to speak with & put my mind at ease regarding a scratch on my eye. I was given a prescription for an eye antibiotic & I was out the door in a little under an hour. I would return again!
I scheduled my appointment on line. Added all my info including insurance cards, etc. so convenient.I was given a time to arrive. I did wait but so expected to do that. Especially since all I wanted was a rapid COVID test. The staff was efficient and personable. They listened to why I was there. They asked good questions. Took the standard checks like blood pressure.Walking out with a “Not COVID” note was the best part.I would definitely go back. They gave me info on what to do about my sore throat and cough.
The front desk receptionist is not professional in any way. She should not be handling patients as she clearly has NO bedside manner. She has a very nasty personality and is quite insulting. Shame on her and this organization as I see from the reviews that this is not an isolated event.
Everyone was nice but when I got back there, bruce my doctor was in a complete rush. I came in to get my blood drawn for work, & since he was in such a rush I asked him if he was good to do this because I already dislike needles, he proceeded & poked me wrong no blood came out & he kept moving the needle in me as I kept telling him it hurt. He then proceeded to the right arm & did the same thing & he moved it so much when he poked me turned dark purple & blood was just coming out & hit the bedding he rushingly pulled the needle out of my arm & sliced the side of my arm with that same needle & didn’t even try to clean it or make sure it wouldn’t get infected. He really needs to slow down & if he didn’t want to be there he shouldn’t of taken my file. I will be contacting the broad & I’ve already been in contact with a lawyer.
I had Angie and she did an excellent job! She was very knowledgeable. My breast got infected and she gave great advice that helped me overcome. Heat works! Now I have no pain. Thank you Angie.
They do have a nice system of allowing people into the building. I usually have a nice experience at a Urgent Care, but this visit was horrible. The doctor was immediately very combative and rude, talking very quickly and aggressively as if she couldnt get out of the room fast enough. She kept telling my husband he didnt even seem that bad compared to others, completely dismissing his experience and pain, and told us several times to just leave and go the ER if we thought it was that bad. She then darted out and sent someone else in to give him some medicine and they left us in the room for 20-30 minutes. We could hear the staff laughing and joking, one of them said, Theres no one else in here right, Im about to lock up and then we heard someone say, Oh no wait there is! Dont worry Ill get rid of them so we can leave. Then she sent a third person in after about 5-10minutes, who didnt even have a mask on, to give us paperwork and let us out. As we walked out, all the lights in the building were already shut off, and everyone was standing with their bags watching us ready to leave. The doctor was suddenly acting very cheerful in front if everyone wishing us well after she had just been so rude and forgotten about us. Like I said, we normally have a nice experience here, but this time there was zero consideration.
I can only give them 3 stars. Ever time I come here I do get really good service. The problem is the waiting. I always schedule an appointment, and I am always 30 min early. Yet Im always waiting way past my scheduled appointment to get seen. The worst part was I wasnt given an antibiotic and instead given a prescription for a drug that was not FDA approved and alters your DNA. Unfortunately I found this out when I looked it up because no one there told me about it not was it even on the paperwork or label. Had I known I would have refused
My first visit was great+ My second visit was not so great I waited for more than 2 hours and I was in extreme pain! Alex the nurse and the very wonderful nurse with the beautiful green eyes SORRY(I didnt get her name) she helped me with my jewelry and gown for my x rays they are the only reason this place gets any good review from me! As for the front desk lady (with glasses& heavy set) was rude and impatient with all the patrons that came in no empathy at all! Nurse practitioner needs to learn what her job is and not treat people that arent stupid like they are because it makes her look & sound stupid instead! I ended up having a broken rib and she was not the one that should have been tending to me or really I dont think anyone but the place is clean and well kept and am grateful for being seen even if it was a emergency room type of wait
The front desk staff was very caring and made me feel comfortable being there. I felt that both the nurse and the doctor were very thorough. I registered online prior to my appointment so check in was a breeze. I would highly recommend this clinic and go again.
Both the nurse and the provider were very personable people. Friendly. I liked the new system of registration via a text message. Waiting in the car seems smart during a pandemic. Had a great experience, during a scary time
Very pleased with my recent visit to urgent care. I was able to reserve a spot at 2am for an 11:00 appointment. Wait time was minimal and was able to get meds and get back home. Will use their services again.
My whole experience was wonderful. The front desk girl, a blond was so kind and very helpful. Taylor took to back and was also very kind. I saw Angie and she was amazing. I will definitely recommend this place!!!
People make or Break an Organization . The Public Servants here that helped my recovery on 12/12/23 a.m. were worth their weight in Gold . Keep up the Great Work ...Thank You ...feeling much better this a.m.
The staff at this clinic are very professional and want the best for your health. I was fighting a sinus infection for over 6 weeks and one round of antibiotics for the most part beat the infection. I travel between states weekly so the antibiotics were prescribed out of state. I asked about steroids at the out of state location to help me jump out of the fatigue. They stated that steroids would not work. When I visited your clinic; a short five day prescription of steroids finally popped me out of the fatigue and swelling. Thanks for all that you do. I am a happy client. Thanks,JON
My son cut his finger at 5 o’clock and it’s now 630 he stitched up and heading out! Our visit was very quick and friendly. The receptionist at the front was welcoming and warm I’ll just get checked in. The nurse got us in the room quickly and helped my son feel comfortable. The doctor was amazing, funny and truly showed care and concern for my son. We will definitely be coming back to this location again!
Good luck if you go here. When I arrived there was one person in front of me. After about 25 minutes the place filled up and they kept calling other people before me. I was there for something simple which would take 10 minutes. After an hour and a half, I got my money back and left.
Was not greeted very friendly and was told to complete my registration on my phone in the car. There was no one else in the waiting area. After I completed the registration and received the notification I waited 30 minutes outside before I went back into the empty waiting room to make sure I did not miss a call. Then I received a msg to re send/scan my medical card. I asked if the receptionist could just copy it but that seemed like too much to ask to put her out to walk 2 feet to the copier. I had already been there an hour and decided to go somewhere else where it seemed like someone cared. My company uses this facility as our wc provider. But I will no longer send employees here. Utterly disappointing service.
The staff is very nice. They worked hard to get me seen quickly. They let me leave without any real clear way to care for my injury other than ice and over the counter medications. They didnt offer to wrap my knee. They let me leave without any good solution while I wait on workmans comp.
I had an appointment at 12:20 that I reserved online. I texted Here and I was told to stay in my car until they called me with instructions. At 1:40, I began to wonder if something went wrong or if they were busy. I went in and asked the receptionist about it. They said they never got my Here text, assumed I didnt show up and skipped me. However, they put me back in and put me on the top of the list. I was finally seen around 2pm. The nurse and staff were all excellent.
We brought our daughter in for x-rays of her arm. We came in close to closing time and we were a little bit nervous that everyone would be irritated and ready to go home, but that was not the case at all. Everyone was SO nice and they did SO well with her. We left so grateful for everyone working and for all of their help.
Extremely rude workers, took my fiance in because she has a ganglion cyst on her wrist, doctor took 1 look at it and said theres nothing we can do for you. The doctor recommended hitting it with a large bottle then gave us paperwork that says do not attempt hitting the cyst. Very unprofessional staff
I have come here twice. The first time I stayed in line a lot longer and waited outside for the most part to register and get tested for COVID-19. The second time I didnt need to wait outside in line at all, because I had scheduled an appointment and registered all of my information through their website. When I arrived to their location I waited in my vehicle the whole time and did not need to wait as much to get it all done. Also, the staff and doctors are very quick, respectful, and professional I like how they organized themselves. Excellent job! I wish I could give 10 stars.
At first I thought it was going to be a sorry run around. However, I quickly got met with a professional staff easy sign in and great care. They were fast to address my needs and checked me out as well as I have ever been. They did everything possible to make sure I was well taken care of. I’m not the greatest writer but they are amazing and I highly recommend them.
Had to come here two days in a row because I felt like death , and I have never been so impressed. The employees, the timing, and the efficiency. Never have I ever been to any doctor or hospital that took care of me , and treated me with so much care and compassion. I truly felt comfortable with them even though I was so uncomfortably sick.110% recommend this place just overall absolutely amazing . Thank you!!!🤍
Angie Z NP always provides the BEST care! Shes attentive, thorough and truly cares about my well-being. Ive been lucky to have her the last few times Ive been there so I feel we have a great relationship built to ensure I get the treatment I need in the most efficient way possible!
We’ve visited this urgent care many many times. Everytime it has been a great experience. The providers are amazing. The time frame from waiting and been seeing and getting out is phenomenal. I am always satisfied with their treatment l.
I generally love this office. The medical care Ive received has always been incredible. The reception desk staff on my last visit (2/7/21) was not as incredible.Since we are in a pandemic, I pre-registered for my visit online, followed the directions sent to me (stay in your vehicle, we will call you), and I followed the directions given to me by the nurse on the phone. When I was told by the nurse to enter the building and wait to be called back, the receptionist at the desk seemed put off that I came into the building and sat down with a rather unfriendly uh, can we help you? When I relayed to her Id registered online and someone on the phone told me to come in, she questioned everything I said and was not satisfied with my responses. She even seemed annoyed when Nurse Bruce called me back for my exam. Before I left, I approached the reception desk again to inquire about paying a copay, would they bill me, etc. There was a different woman at the desk who was clearly put off that I needed assistance. I informed her I would like to pay and she unpleasantly asked what were you seen for? before she asked for my name and DOB. Her mood changed when she told me I had a $50 copay. This is not the service I traditionally receive at this office or any medical office for that matter. Its clear there is a breakdown in communication between the back office staff and the front office staff. The attitude of these two associates are not typical for this office, but perhaps come training on customer engagement would be helpful, especially when the customers do not feel well.*Note: I visited on a Sunday and if they were upset about working on a Sunday, I am empathetic to a point, but I work weekends, as do many others. I didnt WANT to be ill and have to visit an urgent care office, but I did. I anticipate my next visit will be better.
I was very surprised at level of service I received. The medical assistant was awesome as was the doctor. They both listened to me with concern~which resulted in A+ Service. I will say that the 2 at the receptionist desk could use a seminar on friendly customer service. I really believe it was best service Ive ever had from a medical facility. Im almost 63 so that is saying a lot♡ My visit was at 2:50 pm on Saturday March 20th.
The reception lady was rude and talked fairly loud about their personal issues. But the doctor was awesome and so was my nurse . She was very nice and doctor went the extra mile by giving me X-rays and found the source of my back pain.
When traveling to see family at this time of year, it’s so nice to have a urgent care facility like this. I was greeted and had a very short wait to see the nurse and doctor. They listened and took care of me so well. I got the right meds and within two days I was back to feeling great. Thank you to the great and caring staff!!
Sick, want to barf, Jenifer at front desk keeps insisting registration must be done on line and I can finish it now I tell her Im not the patient I cant I just set it up for my adult daughter. Jenifer keeps sending link to register to my phone not the number my daughter gives her twice. Then third time she sends it to correct number but six digit code doesnt come through. We wait and wait, push resend over an over never getting the 6 digit code to register. After ? Amount of waisted time in lobby. I asked to Please register on paper, actually thought she was going to tell me no. She didnt. I left to get sick in parking lot .
What an easy experience. We logged on at 6 am, secured an 8:15 appointment and were both done by 9 am. Bruce was extremely helpful and thorough. We felt safe, never threatened and were treated with respect and concern. We will definitely use this facility again.
In the last 2 weeks, I have set 3 appointments to get a simple TB test done (I missed my first reading, so I had to get another TB test administered and then the reading for that). Each time, I took time the day before to set an appointment so that I could go in and out and carry on with the day. The first time I set an appointment for early in the morning, the second later in the day, and the third again in the morning. I work throughout the day, so I dont have time to just sit and wait. All three days, I waited WAY beyond my set appointment time. The first and third appointment, I waited about 30-45 minutes, and my second appointment I ended up waiting over an hour. Whats even more frustrating is that I ended up only being in the examination room for maybe a minute tops, meaning I waited over an hour for a procedure that took less than 5 minutes to do. I dont know if this location is experiencing more clientele than usual or if theyre short staffed, both of which I understand is beyond their control, but it was infuriating to see so many walk-in patients being seen, meanwhile I had sat and waited beyond my appointment time. It makes me wonder what the point even was of taking time out of my day to set the appointment in the first place. Im glad it is done and over with but it was the worst experience I have ever had with any doctor office type setting.
I thought I may have had Covid so they asked me to wait in my car and do the Paperwork either hardcopy or on my phone. I chose the phone. The registration process on my IPhone was long due to the signature area design. You cannot lift a finger or it resets to a blank screen. Once it was all done I was asked to come inside. My total wait time was about 1 hour due to the app taking me 30 minutes to complete. The staff was very friendly. The nurse did her thing with blood pressure and temperature then a Covid test. A 15 minute wait and it was negative. I had a whopper of a sinus infection. The doctor prescribed meds and of all thing 5 printed pages about my condition, what to expect, home care stuff. I was impressed. I Highly recommend this care facility.
We went there after my brother and his wife tested positive for the Corona virus. They received results within 20 minutes of being swabbed. We arrived at 1:00 and a masked, gowned woman took our temperature and phone number. We were told to return to our car to await online registration. Evidently, they were short-staffed. Our wait was 4 hours. Be sure to bring a book and expect a long wait. A nurse told us some people had waited 7 hours. The nurse who swabbed us was kind and efficient; within 20 minutes, we had our results.I wonder why the staff couldn’t send us home and call us back when our time to be checked was near.
Went in there for a Covid test, ended up in the ER. The staff there did more than just what was requested by me and I’m glad they did! They took the time to do a full evaluation and were sincerely concerned for my health. Great place, great people!
I needed a rapid Covid test done in order to go back to work and after dealing with rude staff and lack of communication from Walgreens and CVS, decided to come here. I was able to get in right away and wait in the office for the results. The Nurse, Angie, was literally so sweet! The Provider and Secretary were both really nice, as well. The office is clean, bright, and welcoming. This will be the only facility Ill use for future urgent care/testing needs.
Very bad there was a doctor who from the beginning was refusing to attend to my 8-year-old daughter, she was upset, she went into the room and asked for the name of the patient and the name was wrong and from there she began to say that she would not be able to work that way and Then I went in and explained my daughters discomfort, very rude, she said that it was my daughters fault, she was going to send a patient, the patient was very kind, taking care of my daughter, until the doctor came back in and told the patient to get off She was going to clean my daughters ear and its logical that a child would be afraid and when she saw this the doctor said I cant take her because Im not going to treat her and she practically took us out of this. This happened this Sunday, May 15, and the appointment for my daughter it was 11:30
I visited this location a few weeks ago for an elevated blood pressure check. The overall wait time was about an hour, but that was expected because it was in the middle of the day. I had a consultation with PA Emily Brick. Ms. Brick was absolutely wonderful! She carefully listened to my concerns and provided the care that I needed. I would love to have her as my regular physician! If I need urgent care services again, I would definitely return to this location. Thank you!
Very pleased with friendliness, professionalism and work done. The wait was about half hour 45 mins because there was only 1 dr. I needed stitches. Bruce Was wonderful and Rachel i believe her name was.. Was quite the seamstress. She had a very calm energy that helped alot while iwas being a big baby with the needles. Haha. Thankyou to them all
Arrived 20 minutes early in between clients. At 8:08, they opened the doors, late. 3 of us were waiting. I was the first arrival. They checked the other 2 in before me, and took both people first, which took some time. All I needed was to have a TB site on my arm checked. Finally, when I was called 2 associates came into the room and asked me how I was. I said, not too happy, and why. It took seconds to check my arm. I had to rush to get to my next client. What should have been an in and out was not very pleasant at all. I realize it was early morning. I just came off shift. But there was no apology from anyone, and I felt like 2 girls coming into the room was due to a comment I made to this man, in a now full waiting room, before I was called. All I said was I was the first one there and I am still waiting.
They were timely with their visit. Dr Huang was wonderful. He listens, is kind and caring. I felt very comfortable with his care. The staff was attentive and kind as well. Great urgent care.
I never leave reviews for medical practices, but you sent an email asking me to do this, so, here ya go...We made an appointment and uploaded our info, ID and insurance card, and waited. We received multiple texts and we were eventually instructed to head to the office. We did. When we arrived, we communicated via text and we were told to wait. We waited. My 1 year old son is miserable with an ear infection, but he needs attention so, we wait. 20 minutes after our appointment time we receive a text saying (loosely paraphrased)we dont take your insurance. Go somewhere else. No apology. Just, leave. My son is still miserable. We wasted our time and gas. Good thing neither of those are very valuable and precious, huh? This is uncaring and unprofessional. I expect my older children and teenagers that I train to work in the service industry to plan better and treat other people better than this. Why dont these health care professionals? Excuse me, why dont these heros treat others with dignity and respect?
This is my second trip to my local Urgent Care. Both times I have had a positive experience with friendly, knowledgeable staff. The care I received led me to a quick recovery and did not need a follow up with my regular physician.I would not hesitate to use their services again.
I scheduled a 10:45 rapid test visit yesterday, but I didnt get seen until around noon. There was very little communication in that period of time as to how long the wait was going to be.However, once I was in the facility all staff members were pleasant and easy to work with.
Took my son for his school sports physical. We waited less than 5 minutes to be seen. Our provider was efficient and through. This service is a better value then what is offered at other urgent cares in our area.
Other than the wait, which is to be expected during the corona virus I had a pleasant trip to Physicians Urgent Care. Plus you get to wait in your own vehicle which isnt bad at all anyways. I went in for an ear infection and they were very helpful and quick. Cleaned out my ear for me and gave me some antibiotics which has helped the swelling and infection to be gone after a couple days. Glad I went in and they were all very friendly and informative.I would definitely go back if its something I dont need an emergency room for.
I got right in, was listened to and examined to the best of their ability. They were very helpful in figuring out treatment for the tone being but also very honest about the fact that I’m going to have to see my normal doctor that knows me and my history for a deeper understanding. The follow up as been appreciated, too. I felt heard and cared for.
My family doctor suddenly retired and I needed to be seen. This office has great staff and they really take the time to listen to why you are being seen. I have also had 3 rapid COVID tests here and they were very nice during these visits as well. Some urgent care facilities try and rush, or make you wait forever. That has not been my experience with this particular office. I would highly recommend!
Very professional and friend staff. I scheduled appointment online and had to wait 45 minutes in my car to be called into see doctor. It was worth the wait, once I was put in exam room I was diagnosed quickly & on my way. Would definitely use this facility again if needed. .
Visited this facility twice now. I got there very early and waited 2 hours for curbside service, which is expected during this high-volume time, but the first visit about a year ago was very quick. Curbside is not 100% curbside, as you have to wait in line to get checked in, but still pretty convenient, since I was able to leave to run a couple errands and return when it was my turn. Fast, friendly staff. Convenient location.
I fumbled the online get in line thing but reception was kind and got me in. Wait wasnt long. I did arrive around 11 and many arrived after me. Nurse practitioner addressed my questions. I felt better just knowing what it was and that Id be better soon. Answers and solutions to be had that I wouldnt have without going in for care.
We needed a Covid test as it was required for where we were traveling to. I contacted this clinic at Elkhart getting some information.Every person I talked to were very cordial, polite and understanding. These folks acted like they loved their job and went out of their way to show it. If all clinics, businesses had people like the clinic at Elkhart has what a wonderful world we would live in. So they deserve more than 5 stars.
They have created a safe environment for the patient’s social distancing. Saw the doctor quickly. Staff was great. Everyone was friendly and professional. In and out fast. I will definitely come back again if I need an 24 hour care center
Place is horrible.Made an appointment online for 12:10, still sitting in the waiting room at 12:45.The front clerk had a problem that I didnt take a picture of my license and fill. out the rest of information online while i was in the car driving. Was in the waiting room for. over 20 minutes and the other front desk clerk turned to. me after I had already talked to the other front desk clerk, and she asked if I had been helped yet....then proceeded to have a problem with me and have an attitude after i told her my name and that i had an appointment at 12:10. that is all i saidSUCH A RUDE PLACE TO VISIT
This is always my urgent care of choice when I cant get into the regular doctor. Very friendly attentive staff. Our most recent visit was for my 5 year old with a possible ear infection. I believe it was the nurse practitioner we saw? She was very caring and patient with her, since she was in obvious pain.
My wait was around 30 minutes, which was wonderful since I was in pain. Loved that I was able to register on my phone, and both the tech and the doctor were wonderful. Very pleasant experience. If I ever need Urgent Care in the future, this will be the place I go. Thank you!
I called ahead of time and explained my problem - an elderly parent who needs to complete a basic physical and x-ray for placement into assisted living. The office staff assured me they could do this. The wait time was three hours with an 83 year old in the car, in the bitter cold, but it had to get done. Once we had checked in, waited, the technician then told us that no, he would not take the x-ray. Im beyond frustrated that no one could tell us this before.
I had a wonderful experience! Went in about 10:30 and was greeted by Karla and given two very easy forms to fill out. Then about 3 minutes later Gregg called my name and I went into the examination room. He took my vitals and gave me a gown to wear after taking off my shirt and was very nice as well. Then Dr. Huang came in about 5 minutes later. He was very nice and came to a very quick diagnosis...told me he was calling in a prescription and was very helpful. I was given my discharge papers and went just down the street to the pharmacy and my prescription was already filled...all in less than 45 minutes! They even called me a couple days later to check in on me and see how I was doing. I will definitely be using them again. $125 for the visit, and $42 for the prescription! Piece of cake!
The staff had been kept crazy busy with patients but still friendly and apologetic for my wait. I registered and requested an appointment for drug screen for a new employer. Ariela _ (sorry if it is misspelled), and Bruce at the Johnson St location were so kind and friendly despite knowing that because of sheer patient volume, they would be working hours after the clinic closed to get everyone seen.
During my visit. I had Doctor Harper. She was very thorough. Im very informational on my problem. She took very good care of me. And I was very pleased with her service. I would definitely see her again anytime. Thank you. Again. Dr. Harper for such a wonderful job of taking care of me.
I was at urgent care for a rapid covid test appointment. The online registration and check-in was seamless. My wait to be called into the building was brief. My nurse, Bruce, was compassionate, kind and professional. The nurse practitioner (I am sorry, but not recall her name) had all the same qualities and was very informative regarding my positive test results.
The process of scheduling the appointment was easy enough and the wait time when I arrived was only 15-20 mins past my scheduled time. However, the employee that they have call to tell you to come inside was less than friendly, almost rude. I assume she was having a bad day.
No one was there cared enough to truly listen. The Doctor was rather condescending. I been coming to this urgent care for years. I really dont plan on going there again because because of all your uncaring stuff, especially the doctor!
I would give this urgent care more than 5 stars if I could! Their was professionalism, friendliness, and care from the entire staff from the moment I walked into the building. The nurse practitioner listened to all of my needs, took great care of me, and I’m feeling so much better now. Highly highly recommend going here!
The actual Dr only spoke to me about 5 min and told me its just a cold while my throat still hurts to the point where its very painful and hurts to swallow or eat 2 days later. I felt like a burden even though no one else there. The rest of the staff was very friendly.
I can not say enough good things about my nurse and NP when I visited the clinic. They were patient, kind and amazing. The NP was incredibly compassionate. I was extremely ill at the time of my exam and I don’t know if I could have made it though without emotionally breaking down if they hadn’t been so compassionate. I would highly recommend Karan NP.
It was my first time here and thought it was going to be super easy and quick but that wasn’t the case. I made my appointment online and did the registration all of it so it would be faster. When I got there the receptionist said she didn’t even see my name I don’t know how when I clearly received a confirmation text she didn’t care to look at the confirmation instead I had to do the paperwork all over and wait. Appt was for 8:30 didn’t get back to the room till 9:30. I was 3rd in line but yet somehow was the last to get seen. The receptionist didn’t put in my paperwork when I handed it to her so I had a lady who was told it would be a wait go ahead of me why? How? Very very unprofessional at the front desk.
The care and treatment was very good. The staff is exceptionally courteous and professional. The three stars is due simply to a marked lack of communication which resulted in a significant inconvenience to me. Because the nature of my problem was not perceived as urgent, I waited for three hours before I was seen. Numerous others came in after me, were seen and left. When I inquired, i was told more than once that ‘I was next in line.’ The issue for me was that i had to pick up my son at a specific time. As my departure time drew nearer, I was again reassured that ‘I was next.’ I wasn’t. Because I absolutely had to see a dr, I could not simply leave. I was able to make arrangements for somebody else to get my son (20 minutes late), and then take him to where he had to be. It was only when I was literally the last patient left, that I was seen by a dr. At that time it was explained to me that I had been placed last due to the less urgent nature of my visit. I get that, I really do. It would have been a kindness, however, to have simply communicated early on that I could expect an incredibly long wait. I could have made other arrangements for my son in advance rather than putting someone else in a difficult position, and I could have actually enjoyed my wait rather than feeling anxious and stressed. Or, I could have chosen to make other arrangements for myself. Just a bit of timely information would have improved the entire situation.
The person who came in to see me was rude, she seemed more concerned about what other meds I was taking via my Dr than trying to fix what was going on. I needed antibiotics for a respiratory infection but only got steroids, therefore I had to contact my primary physician for the meds that I needed. I will be going to a different urgent care as this is not the first time service was less than desired.
Wanted to be seen for excessive bleeding and was told by the extremely rude receptionist with an eye roll, that they are probably just going to send you to the e.r but I can check you in I guessThis after I took my newborn in to have her belly button looked at and the physician jammed a guaze pad in it which almost put my baby in the hospital! Pediatrician stated that what she had done was never acceptable!
I showed up at 10:30am, my husband and I, and informed the registration staff that I needed to be retested for COVID per my provider and my husband needed to be tested as well. We had our vitals taken at 11:00am. I was on oxygen due to Covid. After having our vitals taken we were told to wait in our cars. We got a call from the clinical staff at 1:00pm asking if we respond to a text message to register. We were not told that we should be looking for a text message. After we registered we were called at 2:15pm. I was than told due to my testing positive 2 weeks prior they wouldn’t and/or don’t retest and they would do a wellness visit, which I didn’t need. The provider was short with us and rude like we hadn’t waited over 2 hours in our car for nothing. My oxygen tank ran out as well. I understand the busyness of the facility but the lack of communication and professionalism was ridiculous.
Great change of pace, then what Ive experienced in the past. From the front desk clerk, being respectful, and not coming off like Im bothering her. To the doctors and nurses fully explaining to me, what the diagnosis is and treatment procedure, instead of of being rushed out, so the staff can get back to being on there phones like (Im sad to say) Ive become accustomed to.You guys are awesome!
I was a little weirded out that I was directed to leave the location through a back door and had to walk around the building to get to my car. I was told it was a COVID-19 thing. I was there for a backache issue, The person who drove me to the location said she saw other customers being released through the front door. So it just didn’t sit well with me (especially since I was in a lot of pain walking). The staff was pleasant and friendly. I only rated 3 of 5 stars because I had to walk around the building to leave.
The staff was very nice, it was good to get Covid results the same day. But 5-1/2 hours of waiting in my car, in the parking lot, in 90+ degree weather was brutal for rapid response. The rules made no sense, this location was never busy, at 1:00 pm a sign was put out that theyd ran out of testing supplies...but the large outdoor sign continued to say they were testing!! We had to go elsewhere to use a restroom. I would not go here again for Covid testing.
Our appointment was ar 350 finally called us after 4. Had to wait in car. The doctor didnt do much. Basically checked for covid and flu. I had to ask for doctor to check ears and throat. What a waste of time. My 3 year old is worse now then when he went today. Easy money for a doctor easily ruled viral infection. Ugh! May have to get rechecked. The young doctor didnt want do much. Dont have people make appointments either if they have to wait a while. Thank u
The people were really nice. My appt was at 3. I was told to be there 15 min early and I didnt get out of there until after 5. I waited forever to get test. I texted that I was there as told to do. Response was you are checked in.. And I had to flag someone down to find out what happened after waiting so long. I have to stress that both people I dealt with were VERY pleasant and kind. Test results came back quickly too. It was just the wait that I didnt like. I know you are busy but that seems extreme..
I’ve never had a problem here before. Went in with a sore throat and fever. Waited an hour before being seen even though I registered online. Strep test came back negative. A week later I still have symptoms, went to another urgent care since my doctor has no availability and tested positive. I’ve been to physicians before, and in the past they’ve sent the test to a lab for further testing in order to avoid false negatives like this. Their lack of care ultimately resulted in me suffering for an extra week, and infecting who knows how many people since they said it was probably just a cold. Absolutely ridiculous.
I went to this location to have an infected cyst looked at the doctor barely touched me didn’t do anything about it and prescribed me medication that did not help it and now they want to charge me $200 for the visit. I ended up having to go to the ER to have it lanced. Second negative experience I’ve had here will never go again.
I went to Physicians Urgent Care on Tuesday, January 5, 2021, for a cut between my forefinger and thumb. When I arrived I was instructed to ring the bell at which time the person behind the desk ask why I was there and proceeded to ask several standard questions. She invited me in since there was no one else in the waiting room. I did not have to wait too long, maybe 15 minutes, when I was called back to a room. An aid or assistant came in to get my vitals, take the bandages off my wound and ask if I needed anything else. A short time (5 min.) later the nurse practitioner, Kenneth Scott, came in & evaluated my wound & told me what he wanted to do. All within 15 minutes he clean, stitched and wrapped my wound. After that a nurse came in to give me a tetanus shot & my instructional papers and I was then free to leave. I can’t thank all of these people enough for their kind and very professional manner in which they took care of me.
They got me in pretty quickly. I really appreciated their care. Communication was good and follow up appointment was only $40. In all I spent about $300, which included the antibiotics. Much less than ER and more personalized care.
I am extremely happy with the Physicians Urgent Care facility in Elkhart. The check in procedure was efficient and easy. The wait time was not long at all. The staff is courteous and professional. The examination rooms are bright and clean. I would definitely recommend them.
I recently had to go on Mothers Day for an eye infection. I love the online scheduling for appointments. Its so much easier than sitting for hours waiting on your turn. They were quick, professional and I could even get my prescription there. I was pleasantly surprised!
Im not one who goes to the doctor let alone an urgent care facility. But I must say, I was pleasantly surprised with my recent visit. All the staff members were friendly, and very understanding that I was in pain. NP Kenneth Scott took good care of me made me feel good about myself despite my obvious infection. I highly recommend the services offered at Physicians Urgent Care.
Made an appointment the day before. Was in the office and back to the exam area in less then 15 minutes, x-rayed, diagnosed, discharged, and had my medication while walking out the door in less then 40 minutes. I have never been to a better healthcare center in my life that was as fast and knowledgeable as the folks here. I have actually stopped using my primary health provider in favor of the wonderful people here.
The staff were very pleasant and caring. They focused on my immediate needs and referred me to the ER because I needed more comprehensive care. But while I was there they were respectful, polite, and caring.
Quick service. Staff is compassionate and professional. I was a drop-in appointment, but I was still able to make an appointment within a half hour. The COvid test itself was very short, and I got results back in less than 15 minutes.
I received care in November of 2020 here. Waited over an hour to get a 15 minute covid test. I did not received my bill until 15 months later. When I called both insurance and Physicians Urgent Care to see what took so long to get the bill. Physicians Urgent Care billing lied to me about how long it took insurance saying it took over a year when it took them months to bill insurance. Do not go to them unless you want to wait around for care and a bill.
I walked in for a sinus infection. They were very prompt and polite. I enjoyed the small talk. The wait was not long at all. Im halfway across the country from home and I will be returning if I need their services. Thank yall!
The receptionist, my nurse and especially Kenneth the NP was excellent. However, when I was trying to figure out why I received a bill and how to pay it , this VERY RUDE older lady, I hope she isn’t a nurse, came out and was extremely snotty basically telling me to get out. I was trying to get information on PAYING YOUR COMPANY and frankly she was down right rude. I am legally blind and already crying while I was there due to several medical conditions. I told her she didn’t have to be so mean and that she should be nicer to her customers. I’ll never go back. I bawled all the way home.
The two women at the front desk were so incredibly rude. My fiancé and I were in there when he sliced both of his fingers at work with a razor blade. One of the girls were not wearing a mask but yelled “you have to wear a mask” as soon as we walked in. I didn’t have one so I asked for one (which I had planned to do anyway)After waiting for 8-10 minutes in the waiting room the guy came back and physically stopped me from going back with him before ever saying only the patient could go back. After a few minutes passed I asked if they could at least go bring him his phone in case he needed anything, the female worker rolled her eyes and handed it off to someone else to go give him. I then said “wow, thank you all for everything you do, it systems like a lot” sarcastically - and walked out. As I was walking out the lady with no mask continued talking very rudely. I would definitely go somewhere else if you have another option.
Dr. Huang was so kind and genuinely listened and addressed my issue. Spoke to me and not at me; and by the end of the day I was feeling soooo much better with the Rx he had prescribed. I am happy I went there and didn’t wait any more days in misery at home.
Went in to get checked on for my symptoms. Waited 5.5 hours just for a Covid test and nothing else. Literally didn’t get evaluated for any of my other symptoms. 5.5 hours of wasted time. Will never be coming here again. Also the bathroom was dirty and was out of toilet paper asked the lady up front for some she didn’t give me any. Never coming here again. It was a joke!
Went in for eye pain and they had me do the eye chart and went back to the room and they asked me questions about what was wrong and the nurse left and when the Dr. Came in she literally sat like 5 feet from me didnt examine my eye or anything just looked at me from a distance and told me she thought I had cellulitis of the eye and prescribed me antibiotics... UPDATE: it was in fact NOT cellulitis of the eye but it was iritis. Funky name but really sucked.
Told the Dr. at Urgent Care that i thought I had a sinus infection, the Dr. was immediately dismissive and told me it was just allergies and to take OTC allergy meds. About a week later I’m able to make it in to my regular doctor at the South Bend Clinic, to ask for stronger allergy meds (since OTC wasn’t working for my “allergies”) and she tells me that I actually do have a sinus infection and prescribed me the correct meds that fixed it very quickly.
I went to the Urgent Care today. I had never been there before so after filling out my paperwork, I maybe waited 10 minutes. That is virtually unheard of at a urgent care. Everyone from the receptionist to the nurse to the doctor were GREAT. Very friendly and most of all helped me. Thank you so much to the staff. Do yourself a favor if you need a doctor go see these folks
Walk-in for a COVID-19 test before travel to Canada. Was told to wait outside because of the type of test, Wait time supposed to be 2 hours but it ended up being 3 hours. Was told that I have to wait outside as when they text me I need to walk in immediately. (Could not go across the street for a little shopping at Food store or a bathroom break as did not want to miss the appointment)Kind of hard to wait in 95F outside without access to the bathroomWould not recommend walk-inTry to make an appointment- might be more timely
We were on time for 2 consecutive appointments for Covid testing we werent allowed into the building for over 20 mins past the time for our appointments. I had been to other P.U.Cs and they were fairly punctual, and the tests took 10-15 mins, the Elkhart ones took 30 mins with 2 kids in the exam room with nothing to do, they were going bonkers, the kids needed the bathroom twice in that time and they seemed less patient and less compassionate than other locations.
Our attraction to location was the affiliation with St Joe Hospital. Very disappointed. Registered with clipboard. Our priority was preempted by walk-ins with appointments! At an urgent care facility? After a wait of 2 hours, we left. Did not want to award a single star, but review would not post without it.
Got in about 10 min. Very friendly receptionist.Good care given and treatment rendered resolved the issue in about two days. Went above and beyond and called to check on my daughter the next day. You don’t get that very often and I was very impressed. They gave further advice If the symptoms were not gone. Thank you physicians urgent care !! We will be back if ever necessary.
I got in pretty quickly. That was the best thing about the visit. The CMA who took my vitals did not introduce herself or explain what her purpose was. It was obvious she was not excited to be working on a Sunday. The PA who came in, informed me that my urine was pretty infected and then proceeded to look down a list of possible antibiotics after I informed that I had success with one and one had failed. I was told I could purchase the antibiotic for $15 and was charged $20. Upon leaving, noone could explain how this medication should be taken, but twice a day usually indicates every 12 hours. REALLY? Should I wake at 3 in the morning to take this med? Uninformative and rude is how I would rate my overall visit. I will not be back. I fail to see how this is cost effective at $40 a copay and 3 minutes of office time. Not to mention the $85 this facility will capture from my insurance company.
Used online portal to schedule sports physical for my child. Arrived at location 15 minutes prior to appointment time. Was asked to sit in car; wasn’t called in until 15 minutes after appointment time. Sat in waiting for for another 30 minutes before being called back to room. Waiting room had 5 other individuals waiting to be seen. Front desk had one individual who was wearing a mask. Other employee was not.
My daughter and I visited the urgent care for a sports physical in which we have done several times . The only negative experience we had was the person at the desk. She was not nice to anyone and was so matter of fact she acted like she didn’t care to help anyone . Everyone else was great .
I go here whenever I need medical help. I only live a few blocks away and it has always been convenient. Today I went for a covid test for a close contact situation and they never sent me an email or text message for the appointment. I called twice, yesterday and today to make sure I had an appointment since I hadnt recieved an email or text and both times I was cut off and told it was sent and it was my problem. So I showed up early so that I could do my paperwork since I never recieved my text. While I was sitting there the lady told me that I owed $160 for a prior visit. I have really good insurance and shouldnt owe more than my co pay so I questioned it. She called some number and told me I owe that because the insurance didnt pay their part and I wouldnt be seen without paying it. They only charge $165 for people without insurance. So my main question is why am I paying the same amount to be seen as someone without insurance, that makes no sense to me. So I payed it and called my insurance company who looked up the claim and they said they mis-coded it and if they code it correctly and resubmit it they would be happy to pay it. I went back in and explained this to the lady at the front desk while I was still on the phone with my insurance, and the lady told me that my insurance doesnt know what they are talking about and that it was coded correctly and she is lying to me. The insurance lady heard all of this and became angry and told me if they decide to do their job correctly she would be willing to help. The lady at the front desk gave me a number for their billing and told me she was done talking to me, everything was done right, and she doesnt know how else to help me. I then called the number she gave me and explained it to them. Within 3 minutes she figured out was wrong, refunded my money, apologized, and resubmitted the claim. That is all I wanted in the first place, but instead my insurance provider and I were called liars and basically told to get over it. I did have a doctor come in and ask me what happened, and apologized for this ladys attitude and actions. To that doctor i thank you. I think she knew because the nurse overheard most of it. But, I live only a few blocks away and I will be traveling from now on because of this experience. If you are sick and tired and stressed you dont need some know it all front desk person telling you to give you money for no reason and to get over it. Ill take my insurance, copay, and money somewhere else next time.
I was able to reserve a spot online and then just had to check in, once I got there. All the staff was very friendly and helpful. Once I got called back, the doctor came in within a few minutes of the nurse finishing up with me. Very timely.
The staff at Physicians Urgent Care were phenomenal! As they were dealing with a long line of individuals to be tested for COVID-19, they still realized that I was ill and treated me with urgency. They were kind, gentle, and helpful. I was very happy with the care I received. The PPE and extra precautions that they utilized ensured the safety of themselves, as well as the safety of others. I recommend Physicians Urgent Care for any time your physician is not available. They will always be my first choice.
The provider was fantastic. She listened to me and was even thoughtful enough to prescribe me meds I hadn’t even asked for yet (sometimes women get infections from antibiotic use). I’d give 10 stars if I could.
Ive been here numerous times. For myself and my two children. From ear infections, to covid checks, stomach pain, eye problems I’ve always received the upmost care and respect I love this place when our PCP can’t get us in this will always be my go to place they are amazing !!! 🤩🤩
It says you open on Saturday at 8am, here I am at 8:20am and the doors are locked
The only issue I had was that I answered all the questions at the door and when I went back with the nurse she asked me some questions and then she left the room & she started ranting that I did not yell them some of my symptoms and she thinks I have CoVid! Very loud all this was said. Then someone came in and accused me of not telling anyone my symptoms and none of symptoms fell within the CoVid guidelines. Then she proceeded to jab a q-tip up my nose and leaves the room. Then I can hear them all saying, she better not test positive! Again, I stress that I did not have any of the symptoms and I did not test positive for CoVid. I work at the hospital & my protected health information was yelled loud enough for all in the waiting room to hear. I feel that the nurse was completely unprofessional when discussing my health with her colleagues and it made me felt absutely humiliated. I do not what she thought it was that made her do that & it does not matter. What matters is that she did not follow HIPPA guidelines when she yelled loud enough for strangers to hear my health concerns. I do not think I will choose that location for my health needs again, I am not sure I would choose any Physicians Urgent Care facility for my health needs after being so embarrassed at this location by such unprofessional staff. Once it was established I did not have CoVid the NP that treated me was great and helpful & made me understand why I was sick & felt so tired and how she was going to treat my illness.I was embarrassed but in the end no one apologized for accusing me of not being honest when I came in & after all that was said loud enough for everyone to hear once it was established I was not positive for CoVid an apology is the least they could have done.
Other than the worker who was rude about where I parked my experience was geat !! I had simple moved from a far away spot closer to the door to make it easier on the nurse taking samples. Instead of simply asking me to move she started off in a rude tone you cant park here you need to move. I simple just moved it was no big problem for me but she should check how she deals with the public especially in the Health Care field people are already anxious about Covid- 19
I came there looking to get a second test for the COVID and they told me that it would be a waist of resources. Regardless of my work had asked me to get it done so I can go back to work. I had insurance, I had the money to pay but they still refused to help me out. Very unhappy... Im trying to just get back to work and not depend on anyone else. I will NEVER return to this place and will not get a good word from me. They are supposed to be there to help people not make things worse . Never again
NP Angie was intimidating and nearly hostile when reviewing my case of a work related injury with her. Im not sure why. Im guessing maybe because she misunderstood me last time and didnt like the fact that she was mistaken and would have to redo my notes. I asked to to stop yelling at me. She said it was just her personality and took it very offensively and said she was feeling very judged when I pointed it out.I complained to the people in the front. I will NEVER return here.
Staff needs to undergo sensitivity training for children with mental disabilities. Healthcare is a stressful job but being rude to a child or their parent over the child scared to take a strep test is uncalled for. “I don’t have time for this, this is ridiculous” really is not the proper response.
I thought the receptionist was cold hearted and rude. I was in respiratory distress and she told me I couldn’t wait inside but to wait for them to call me but I told her my ride left and she said I had to wait outside. Finally she did say I could sit near the door. I overheard her tell one patient that he was rude but it was her being rude not the patient The doctor was okay. I’ll not be go back to that clinic.
They were able to see me in a timely matter yesterday, and referred me to the ER to get more testing done when they didnt have a definite answer (I was having unusual symptoms). I found out a few hours later at the hospital that I had appendicitis, and was able to get surgery the same night! I am very thankful for urgent care and the physicians there for referring me onto the hospital. If they wouldve just sent me home, this situation could have potentially turned out way worse.
I had a scheduled appointment yesterday at 1:45pm for a rapid COVID-19 test. I waited 2+ hours after my schedule time to be seen and receive results. Bruce was very rude when explaining to me why there was a delay with me be seen.
I always go to Physician’s Urgent Care if I need immediate care for something. I took my daughter for an ear infection Sunday morning, and the nurses & nurse practitioner were great! She is feeling better. Thank you!!
Everyone was so kind and helpful! They really listen to what you have to say. Thank you to the strawberry blonde who collected my vitals and swab. She really listened. I wish I remembered your name. And thank you to Karen NP you are great!Highly recommend this Urgent Care.
Wont ever go back to these scammers. Went in to get a DOT physical done and one question they asked was, have you been out of state in the last 2 weeks?. Duh, im and OTR commercial driver. They said I should be quarantining and that I need to do a rapid test before I can enter. OTR commercial drivers are exempt as crossing state lines is part of their job. They also tried to charge me $215 for the rapid test(tests are supposed to be free, that why we spent trillions in several packages). Dont ever go hear. Not even after covid ends. Im reporting this place and Im putting out a nationwide boycott of all locations.
By far worst experience ever. I came in there only wanting a excuse for missing work. The woman was very condescending in explaining to me, it was my fault I was sick, and refused to write anything for or send anything to my work explaining my absence. Go anywhere else!!!!!!! You been warned
We just recently received a bill for services that were performed in November of 2020; it is currently February of 2022. When we called to inquire about this, we were first hung up on and then lied to about the time it took to disburse the bill. I would not recommend Physcians Urgent care for any service, especially not a Covid test, as you will most likely be severely overcharged. You are better off just staying at home.
Horrible, was told i had to wait in my car until my turn, which is fine, just give me a timetable, 4-5 hrs but you cant leave, if you leave you go to the back of the line. I sat in my car four over five hours, seeing car after car just apparently drive in off the street into a numbered spot and get service. I know i was not thre lady one ro sign in for service, but i was the last one seen that day as they closed for the day... after sitting in my car over five hours. NOT RECOMMENDED IF YOU CAN AVOID. And they sent my phone number to the state....
This will be the 3rd visit in less than a week for my 86 yr old mother suffering from singles. First and second visits were reasonable and I was happy with the service. We were here last night to get meds for a severe ear ache most likey the result of singles. The meds are not working and she needs a different med. Was informed she still needs to wait to see the doctor again. Weve been waiting for two hours. Why cant the doctor evaluate the chart from the previous visits and prescribe something in a more timely fashion.
Good service from Front office and back office. We only waiting about 5 minutes to get called back. Good place to go when you dont when its not as serious as a ER visit. Pricing is reasonable and sometimes they even have the actual medication you need without having to go to pharmacy.
Appointment was fine. Follow up from referral specialist/scheduler is very disappointing. Waiting for a phone call regarding a referral to an Orthopedic specialist for my daughter’s broken arm.
I would give a but had made an appointment on line, so thought my wait time would be minimal. I still had to wait over an hour. It probably had to do with being near the holiday, and there was only one provider that day. The service itself was excellent. Everyone was professional, friendly and knowledgeable.
Honestly some of the workers there were rude and had attitudes. The service is very slow and I took into consideration COVID. They didnt seem to have things under control. Other than that I got a diagnosis and was sent out with an antibiotic! And I’m feeling better.
Had rapid Covid19 test done here. They only accepted appointments for this via their website and can only make the appointment on day of visit - currently Mondays Wednesday and Fridays. Wait was minimal while in car and checked in via text. Staff was courteous and professional.
The entire staff was polite, caring, and I was in and out . Its hard to get that level of politeness and kindness at doctors visits or hospital visits. I would recommend this clinic to everyone
I went in looking for treatment for my lungs burning when I breath, wheezing, bubbling…stuffed up sinuses, severe coughing, earaches, headaches. The only thing he gave me a slip for treatment was because I had laryngitis. Never said a word if my ears looked ok, did my lungs sound as bad to him as they do to me? Me struggling to breathe was no big deal I guess. Other people I know got breathing treatments, prednisone, antibiotics for the slightly green mucus I’m coughing up. Oh, he said I presented symptoms of Covid, and once I said I wasn’t vaccinated, he lost interest in talking to me. Total waste of my time and money. $165 wasted. If I don’t get to see a real dr, I shouldn’t be charged like one, just to see an NP that clearly had no interest in treating me. I’m not happy at all. I have been coming here for about 4 years now, and believe me, I won’t be back.
I had already tested positive for covid using an at-home test when my employer informed me that they would not accept those results, and that I would have to be tested at an official site. It was already late in the afternoon on Friday and I had run out of options for being tested in Goshen where I live. But, if I waited until Monday to be tested, I might not be able to provide a positive result. Thats when my doctors office told me about Physicians Urgent Care in Elkhart. It was a bit further away, but PUC was able to get me tested--even at 6pm that evening! I so appreciate the willingness of the PUC staff to provide this service to the community. They risk their own health and safety so that I can know how to care for myself, not to mention keep my job, during this pandemic! A very sincere Thank You!!
Cut my leg, had 7 stitches, and was in an out within 45 minutes. Staff was kind, and personable. I was there on Memorial Day, so not so busy, but Im sure better than going to the ER.
Was good with signing up online. Needed wifes help to do so. Set up 8:30 appointment they were running a little behind did not get in till 8:45 or so. Everything was explained and went smooth after that.
I had a 1pm appointment but didn’t get into a room until almost 2pm. Staff was nice enough but wouldn’t test me for anything except for Covid. I’m still very sick with non covid symptoms so the whole trip there did nothing for me. Isn’t it possible to have 2 things wrong with you?
Fast and friendly. Nurse took vitals quickly, not rushed and asked some questions. Dr. took care to listen to complaint, ask a few questions and did the exam. Friendly, but not time consuming chit chat.
Front desk receptionist very rude! 6/7/2022 my online registration kept bumping me out so I could not finish and instead of doing her job she wanted me to keep registering online. Update!!!Went I went in on 6/7 I misdiagnosed I went in with with mid to upper rightquadrant pain was told I had pulled muscle when I actually need galbladder removal surgery!
I was pleased with how friendly and professional the staff was.. The team took exerted measures to do their job and keep is protected. Not only did I get a covid test and the results the right away; the team took the time and did an exam.
Dont waste your time here. If you have so much as a $10 balance they wont even see you unless you give them credit or debit information. Its not about the care of those that are sick its all about the money in this place. Med point is way better and more personable. Dont get me wrong I had no problem paying off the $10 I didnt know about it was the fact that they wanted access to my bank account before they would even see my son. If there was a 0 star rating they would have gotten that. This place is a joke.
I got in to see the doctor shortly after I got there. The doctor was thorough and informative. Everyone was very nice here. I dont even think the whole visit took an hour and I didnt even have an appointment.
The center was busy at the time I arrived. The staff was kind, courteous, knowledgeable, and professional. . Dr. Brazil treated me well. He checked my symptoms, listened to my chest, and felt my glands. He couldnt test me for flu as there has been many cases of flu and they ran out of flu tests. He prescribed a medicine to shorten the cycle of the flu and its working :)
Told me to wait for a surgeons call within 2 days. And if I did not receive a call I was ordered to go to The ER…ER told me that there’s no such thing as a surgeon giving anyone a call…Also they did not even put the surgeons name or anything..no referral whatsoever..and also they said the number that would be calling me was going to be an 816 number…total BS…st joe should just stay in southbend…..
Where do I even start! The fact that I get a text message for an appointment, show up for said appointment and the doctor asked what I’m there for. They had misfiled my documents and couldn’t find them. The fact I went 11 months with them telling me I had a strained muscle that they would see me in six weeks. Fast forward eleven months and an mri to find out its a bulged disk in my neck. I will say this branch is a long shot better than the Warsaw one, but if I didn’t have to I would NEVER get treatment here again! Seen two different doctors here one said physical therapy the other told me to cancel it that it was a waste of time. Just to be told from the other doctor that I should have been doin physical therapy the whole time. Received steroid injections in my should to boost my “strained muscle” just to be told after they found out it was my disk and not my shoulder that workman’s comp wasn’t gonna cover the injections! Not like I ordered them..... Do yourself a favor see another doctors office. If you have to go here, first off I’m sorry! Second watch them very close they love to guess or pass it off. User beware!!!
Went in for a standing respiratory infection and was treated with less than acceptable service. This has happened the last few times I’ve been in at this building. I had to find an actual doctor to see in town to have my infection recognized and treated. Double wammy paying for it. I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone.
Very kind personnel, able to explain what was going on. I felt so satisfied about the welcoming and how they treated me and my wife. Urine test performed with an immediate result.
My vists are handled well. The staff is very polite. My questions are answered very detailed wise. The parking lot, waiting area, bathrooms, and examine rooms are kept very neat and especially clean!!! Thank you for caring.
Rude front desk! Tested positive for Covid! Called there to get paxlovid and see a Dr ! Drove over for an app! ! Desk lady said they didn’t give it! That I needed to do my research on paxlovid! It doesn’t help! She needs to do her research! Great results with older groups/diabetes!
Had a cut finger that required stitches, the young lady technicians that installed my stitches did a great job, I wish I could remember her name. Very pleasant pleasant caring lady! Nice job!
The doctor I saw was very professional and treated my issue well. The staff was also very kind. The rooms were clean and the wait time was very reasonable.
I went in for a scratched eye and something possibly in there. I waited and hour and a half in a bright room with my eye throbbing and got called back to my room. The gentleman man that came in said I had a stye and pink eye, gave me a prescription for antibiotic ointment. I woke up and my eye was pulsing more and over the phone I was told had to finish antibiotics. Well I finally found an actual eye doctor who could slip my appointment in and they pulled 2 large pieces of something out of my eye and gave me antibiotic drops. And did say How would he miss this!?! Rushing people out is how! Go to er before I come back
I was able to make an appointment which shortened the wait time tremendously. The nurse and doctor were extremely efficient, kind and friendly. I would certainly recommend this clinic.
Over the course of travel in Elkhart I needed some medical attention and these folks truly delivered. A great experience with all staff and caretakers. They took the time to listen and address my problems and helped move me into a better place of health.
My favorite place to take myself and kidsusually quick and can get an appt in on the website
Scheduled an appointment online, got there on time, nobody else in waiting room, filled out paperwork, was taken back within 15 minutes, vitals taken. Then nothing, sat in room for an hour, went out to see what was the delay, they said they had a full house. Basically seeing everybody before me, I guess I wasnt sick enough.
It was nice getting the help I needed but we’re not so sure the diagnosis was correct I was diagnosed with stomatitus bc strep was negative but it seem worse then that but it does feel better now so I would say not so bad
I would suggest treating yourself as this location has taken a more mom and pop model to health conditions. After 40 minutes and a terribly rude meeting with the secretary a doctor walked in to our diagnoses room and rolled his eyes after seeing us. while determining the issue with her shoulder pain he asked beratingly about the consistency of the pain and scoffed at the claim that it was particularly bad at my wifes place of employment. His suggested therapy was that i, her husband, massage her (knowing nothing about us as this was his first time seeing us, though two months ago they had a professional doctor) and then supplying a prescription for 800mg ibuprofen.
You guys need to train your front desk people not to always be so rude !!!! It’s uncalled for especially if we’re in there trying to get medical attention. No need for the attitude or rudeness . If it wasn’t for the rude lady at the front desk I’d give you guys 5 stars !
