Very concerned with making money, and not interested in best patient outcomes. Dr Gor was not even friendly and didn’t ever smile. Very close friend of mine started to have pain DURING and AFTER her last prenatal check up with her. The pain lessened after a few days ending in her water breaking. During labor and having full dilation, Dr Gor purposely waited a few hours to try to change the position of the baby while administering Oxytocin (which is not effective with full contractions). Of course, things ended up in a C-section, of which the scar is still painful a decade later. All experiences (medical and interpersonal) were negative with Dr Gor, so I cannot recommend her to anyone. She also was sued for slashing someone’s bladder during surgery. Maybe she has changed now, but let someone else be her Guinea pig first.
I give Dr. Hetal Gor five stars. After going to Dr. Gor for a while, she suggested a procedure to make it easier to examine me.She had explained what was involved and how it worked. I agreed to give it a try. The time and patience was worth it. The results became a success.Dr. Gor was the only doctor who addressed this situation. The other doctors who I had gone to never bothered to help me.
Dr. Gor is an excellent physician (I am a physician myself ). I transferred care at 24 pregnancy weeks as I was unhappy at my prior practice. She is very knowledgeable and current with her medical practice and has an excellent bedside manner. The care I received at delivery was excellent as well and she did not push for c section even though I had been in labor for 22 hrs and not progressing. We came to the decision together as doctor-patient and as woman to woman (and yes, my husband was part of decision). Yes, the wait time is long because she is thorough and also because she attends all of her patient deliveries/emergencies at HUMC.
I switched to Dr. Gor in 2010, when I was pregnant with my first son. She welcomed me right away & I have been with her ever since! She is very sweet and visiting the office monthly, was always a pleasure. Her staff is great & always so friendly. After moving to NY, I refused to find another doctor! This past January, Dr. Gor delivered my second baby & I always recommend her to all my family & friends! We love her!
I have been fortunate to be Dr. Gor’s patient for over a decade. She delivered both of my children. She is thorough and straight forward. Most recently, she performed an abdominal myomectomy with wonderful results. The incision is quite small and the procedure greatly improved my quality of life. I will always recommend Dr. Gor for her vast knowledge and excellent quality of care.
Dr. Gor was great in delivering our baby girl. I loved that she allowed a natural birth to happen and did not push for a C section like I have heard other Drs do.She is old school and spends tons of time with you on visits. She never ever rushes you out of her office at all. Sometimes you wait a little, but how else can she spend qulality time with people? We had a bigger issue with the hospital and not getting good information from them. Dr. Gor was great and came through for us. I am very happy with our choice.
Dr. Gor has been very professional and knowledgeable of what she does. I have been her patient since this year, 2016, and I have been gaining more comfort with her. And thats not easy with gynecologist, for me. She has taken time away that makes me nervous for just being there due to my privacy now being shared. She has quick hands and skilled hands and thats a A+ in my book. She gets directly to the point of the reason for my visit, and I like that. Maybe I would like to chat a bit more, but be frank now. With her busy schedule and the world needing her, she really should get going to the next patient, if all concerns have been addressed. She always address the situation and recommends a solution. She keeps me thinking positive about the outcomes and she answers my questions, even though I do my own research prior to my visits, and its always right on par.The wait time to see her after the vitals signs are checked by the medical assistant can be a bit lengthy. But again, all patients needs vary, and so, its Never going to be a uniformed time frame for us to be seen by her individually. Of course I rather not wait 30/45 mins, after my vital signs are checked about 15 mins after arrival, but I fail to believe that she can see us any sooner than she does. The office is normally fresh and clean, except I always notice the bins being mostly full. I dont know whos duty it is, but thats my only con. really. And too, the fact that they charge for copies of your report, if you want, like I do most times. The staff normally calls and reconfirm your appt. a day prior and if its results to retrieve via appointment, you get a schedule appointment in a week/maybe less. I think thats not too bad. Its very good actually. We All grow in our lives and I hope Dr Gor and her staff grow for the betterment of themselves and the medical field they are in. Because we NEED THEM!!Thank You All.Ps. Im a tidy freak, so the bins took away the 1* and those copies.
I began seeing Dr. Gor when I was 30 weeks pregnant after she was referred to me by my endocrinologist. Being a Type 1 diabetic for 20 years, it was very difficult for me to find a doctor who delivered at Hackensack and would take me on as a patient, because I was seen as high risk (despite keeping good control throughout my pregnancy). When I called for an appointment with Dr. Gor, I told the receptionist my background and asked if Dr. Gor would still consider taking me as a patient, to which she quickly replied that she would. I was immediately impressed with the fact that my medical condition didnt make her flinch. Once I met with her and proved that I was taking my health seriously, I felt we made a good team. From week 30 until my scheduled induction, Dr. Gor was very thorough in providing care for my baby and me, with our best interest in mind. When the baby wasnt responding well to the drugs used to induce me, she made the quick decision to deliver my son via c-section. I didnt have much time to think about it, but I trusted her judgement, and it ended up being for the best. When she pulled him out, he had the umbilical cord wrapped around his neck, and Im so thankful she got him out when she did. Ive seen a lot of doctors throughout my life, and know the importance of writing reviews like this so others dont have to waste their time, money, or sanity dealing with a terrible doctors. Dr. Gor is confident, skilled, and personable, which in my opinion covers all the bases for a great doctor. She delivered my greatest gift safely, and Ill be forever grateful for that.
Dr. Gor gets 5 stars from me. I have been her patient for a few years now for routine care. This year I had to have surgery and she was extremely patient with my questions and decisions. She is a very smart, compassionate and patient doctor who always listens and talks to me with the intention of helping me understand my body better. The surgery went very well with minimal scarring on my abdomen. She even was careful enough to make incisions over an old scar from appendectomy so as not to make a new scar on my belly! That really impressed me. I would recommend her strongly for anyone who needs OBGYN care.
I went to Dr. Gor last year in November for an annual check up and for right lower abdominal pain with a hunch that I had an ovarian cyst. Besides having to wait 3 hours to see her (I could hear her seeing patients next to me..one by one they came and left while i waited in my room for hours), she dismissed my concern, but to appease me ordered an ultrasound. It turned out that I did have an ovarian cyst and a fairly large one too. I went to my follow up appointment only to leave without being seen since she had left for an emergency delivery. I understood that this was an emergency and decided to come back another day. When I returned for my follow up visit to discuss the results of the ultrasound, she stated that I had an ovarian cyst which SHE suspected and found. I guess she forgot that I had to ask her to rule it out with an ultrasound despite her confidence that she didnt feel the cyst when examining me.Besides the incredibly long wait I had to wait (for which I am willing to understand every once in a while just not all of the time), the office billed me for two visits for which I had already paid at the time of the visit. Initially they billed me for the first visit, which we resolved after they found a copy of the receipt in my file. Then I was billed yet again almost 6 months later for a different visit. This time, they state that they did not find a receipt for me . I was speechless. For an office with a policy that states that they do not see patients if the copay is not paid for BEFORE the visit, how could I possibly be seen that day if I did not pay for my copay? They are so adamant about the payment that for one visit, that they actually directed me 5 blocks down to an ATM to pay in CASH (since thats all they take) stating that I was not allowed to visit the ATM AFTER my visit. I was informed that I had to pay BEFORE my visit, otherwise I would not be seen. So please tell me how I got away that one day they are billing me for without paying? The receptionists answer was that they have made exceptions for patients in the past. NOT MY PROBLEM especially because they did not extend that courtesy to me. I should have saved my receipts! Im also pretty sure I paid for the visit for which I left without being seen because of the Drs emergency.. So if anything the office owes me money. My advice to the patients that decide to see Dr. Gor despite these reviews... is to save your receipt because MONTHS after your visit, theyll come after you. Also they should not be collecting payment before the visit, especially if the doctor is prone to leaving the office for emergency visits that could last HOURS.
I have been seeing Dr. Gor for the last 8 years, including the pregnancies of my two youngest children. I think she is an amazing Ob-Gyn and have been very happy to have her as my doctor. She is both warm and whip-smart I have the utmost confidence being under her care. I took away 1 star because of the wait time- 3 hours is crazy. At the same time people have to understand that she has a solo practice so you will only see her, unless she is on vacation. This means a lot to me but certainly has its draw-backs. She is basically on call 24-7- kudos to anyone who is willing to do that for as long as she has. For others, they are better off going to a large practice where you dont know who your doctor will be for your visit or delivery.
I happened to visit the doctor couple of times. I had a quite nice experience on my first visit. She explained everything well & spent quality time to understand the history. Definitely she is knowledgeable and is confident about her treatments. I have few concerns/issues though that could have been better.Hospital ambiance/cleanliness - Sofa covers are torn everywhere. Toilets are not clean & stinky.Waiting time - Waiting time is nearly 3 hours in all my visits. Could have better management with appointments. Rather than trying to accommodate more people and make everyone wait for long time, it can be planned with some buffer time. Dont take late evening appointments, you will not get even 10 mins with your doctor and tend to rush.Reports - Doctor will not review your report over phone which many doctors do. You need to book an appointment and pay 40$ for reviewing your report and say everything is normal. Also if you need a copy of your report, you need to pay 1$ per page.
This is not pleasant experience for my wife. We were satisfied with her the first sixteen weeks. At the week of twenty, we were asked to see her partner and she did not explain why and how long. She was not upfront to let us know that she was not delivering babies anymore. We can understand that If it was some urgent issues and she could not attend the delivery, but that was not the case. We came to know from the Google commend that Dr. Gor was not delivering babies since past couple of months. Then we were confirmed by the office staff and her partner the 26th week, not her. She didn’t tell us she is not delivering babies since the beginning. We have to find a doctor who can accept my wife with 26 week pregnant. We never get a chance to speak to her to acknowledge the issues or get an explanation from her.
Dr. Gor has been my ob/gyn since 2006. There are not enough words to express my gratitude for the amazing health care she has provided me with. Dr. Gor makes you feel comfortable no matter what the situation is. Her office is so welcoming and eases you if you are feeling nervous. Dr. Gor’s knowledge, professionalism, and bed side matter are one of a kind. In my opinion she is one of the best in her field. I appreciate everything she has done for me. I would highly recommend her to any one looking for an amazing OB/GYN with an amazing staff!
I DO NOT reccommend her. I have not met her however I had my first appointment with her was a half hour early and still waited TWO hours. A woman who they had put in a room when we first got there came out asking if the doctor was even there as she had been waiting hours to be seen. She also said this was the same thing they had done last time. It turned out the doctor was not even there!! Mind you the receptionist said the doctor had had a flight to catch at 6 and needed to be out of the office by 5. IT WAS FOUR PM. So...she is going to see all 6 of the patients waiting in the waiting room in 1 hour? Terrible first experience.
I would highly recommend Dr Gors services. I had a high risk pregnancy and Dr Gor was my obstetrician . My water broke at 17 weeks and I was admitted to Hackensack hospital. Dr Gors bed side manners were outstanding she visited me everyday. She was caring, informative, positive and compassionate. She delivered my child at 24 weeks with minimal complications. My daughter is now a very healthy 9 yr old . Two years ago Dr Gor performed my very complicated hysterectomy and once again her bedside manners were fantastic and her staff was great.
I have been a patient of Dr Gore for more than 5 years. I dont see myself going to anyone else. You can speak to about your concerns, she makes sure they are addressed. She takes her time to listen. As a female doctor you can ask her questions you may otherwise be uncomfortable too and get the right answer. I leave there with a feeling of peace. I recommend her highly.
If I can choose no star I would. I am extremely unhappy with the care I had received. She did not provide compassionate care and was not upfront about no longer doing deliveries at Hackensack hospital. An example of my experience: In the beginning I clearly said Im on Zantac for my heartburn and she said nothing. Visits later when she reviewed my meds (which she always does at the beginning of the visit) and didnt say Zantac, so I reminded her---she told me she didnt know and gave me a face-I had to ask is something wrong? It was then she said that it can cause cardiac defects (Im a nurse and did research in this & found nothing only a study from 6 years ago that showed this was the case, please note Zantac is category B)--she then said its too late now (I was more than 8 wks at this point-so she was basically saying whatever damage would have been done by now) This upset me as Zantac was clearly mentioned in my first visit b/c heartburn was my number one complaint w/ pregnancy and she reported that she was never informed of this.Another experience was her prior authorization team incorrectly authorizing an ultrasound -this led to my waiting over 3 hrs For issue to be resolved. At one point I had bled heavily the Friday prior to being induced and had to go to the hospital under her advice. I went to the hospital and was sent back home after being observed for hours. Please note she never called to see how I was after being observed. at the time I was seen by the covering physician at the hospital. It was at my appt that following Thursday that she told me Im surprised they sent you home. Which was upsetting as she waited 4 days to say this as opposed to communicating with the covering physician or myself ahead of that time. I got sick and my baby was behind in growth and per her instruction had to be induced they very day. She continued to say that she was surprised I left the hospital that weekend and that now my baby and I can be in danger ---again If that was be case y not call the physician covering for you?!.she had never called to follow up to see how I was or how the delivery went or if the baby was ok. How can this office say they provide compassionate care? Where is the compassion in that?In terms of delivery day she she sent me to hospital to be induced as it seemed as though my condition was worsening (which it was as I found out at the hospital- it was almost an emergent situation ). Once I got to hackensack I was informed by the nurses there that she hasnt been doing her deliveries the covering physician was-information which was never disclosed to me ...I assumed the reason the covering physician was taking care of me was because she had office visits to tend to --please note this was not the reason, at least from what I was told. Please note she didnt even call the hospital to let them know I was on my way or the covering physician which led to much confusion upon my arrival. She even had me sign a consent 2 weeks before regarding the delivery so this was an opportunity for this discussion (her not delivering my baby) and that was not mentioned. All this time even though I was having issues I said to myself at least I know her and shes the one that will be delivering me. So imagine the disappointment I felt finding out this information. Other issues with her: not reading reports In a timely fashion--and having no other medical personnel with the capability of reading results in her absence. I had to call and beg that she review my results. I expressed my frustrations to the secretary. The secretary said she would text the doctor. She finally did review it and instead of calling me herself she had secretary call me and tell me it was normal- which it was not true my ultrasounds had been abnormal all this time-what I needed was a call with the details of the report as my delivery/possible induction was dependent on the results of my ultrasound. Also, Hour +waits for her to see you in just 5 minutes.
Dr. Gor is the best doctor I have ever visited. She is kind, empathetic, compassionate, and incredibly easy to talk to. I feel very fortunate to have found her. Dr. Gor makes sure you leave her office feeling at ease and confident with your course of treatment. When I came to her , I was having a lot of urinary frequency symptoms .Dr. Gor was able to sent me right away for diagnostic testing, diagnosis me quick and performed my surgery. She is an incredibly talented surgeon and is able to perform my surgery. On top of all that, she is very intelligent and has a wonderful heart. I highly recommend her for your OBGYN doctor. And one last thing her STAFF are amazing.
WORST WORST WORST DOCTOR I have come across in my life !I was full term pregnant and had low amniotic fluids and was asked to deliver my baby immediately and Hetal made me run around 2 different hospitals where she dint have credentials (I literally got admitted into 1 hospital and had to check out within 30 mins because she dint have credentials in that hospital - for which i had to do co-pay from my pocket) She lied to us saying she will come and do my delivery till the last minute. Her covering doctor whom i dint meet one time ended up delivering my baby. I had to wait atleast 3 hours during my regular check ups. I regret choosing this doctor. Wonder how this doctor is given most compassionate doctor award ! DONT FOOL YOURSELVES BY SEEING THAT TRASHI wish I could tell her this in person but I would never like to even see her face or talk to her again in my life ! WORST WORST WORST DOCTOR EVER. I WISH SHE READS THIS HERSELF.- Regarding your reply. What kind of a reply was that? what do you mean worst case? do you even understand what carrying for 9 months mean that you easily say worst case? Sure, if patient choose doctors like you they will definitely end up having worst cases ! You and your conscience know how you troubled us during my delivery. If I listened to you that day after my ultrasound and get back home and not the hospital may be i would be in a worst place now... thank god i took my own decision and went to the hospital. anyway may be you are a good doctor for few but for the rest of our lives me and my family will remember you as the worst doctor. I hope you are understanding how frustrating it was for me then. Glad you dint do my C-section.
I have been going to Dr. Gor for years...and so has my sister. She delivered my two nephews and niece! Theres no way Im going to write a bad review. I am a control freak and every time I go into Dr. Gors office even if it takes an hour to see her...she always helps me and calms me down AND gives great advice. NEVER pushes birth control on me or anything unnecessary that other doctors will push on you. She tells it like it is and some people can’t handle that...but thats how doctors should be in my opinion. Once you build a relationship with her she is hilarious and very helpful!Love ya Gor...Dont listen to the haters. LOL
Doctor has quite poor “bedside manner”. Rough with exam. Scratched me during exam. Rushed visit. 45 min wait for a 5 min first time meeting. Unwelcoming office staff. “Cash or check only” policy for co-payments: they do not take cards or FSA cards. Did not notify of lab results for a week after results came in! I had to call to ask for results that required attention. Will not go back. Will not recommend. Not customer oriented at all.
Today I had an appointment scheduled with Dr. Gor for 9:30am. As a new patient I was advised to arrive 15 minutes early to fill out paperwork. I signed in at 9:11am and at 10:30am I was still waiting to see the doctor without any warning that she was over an hour behind in her appointments or why there was an excessive wait at all. I have never been to a doctor with such blatant disregard for a patients time. I had to leave before being seen as I was working and couldnt wait any longer than I already had.
I moved close to Englewood area and was looking for a new gyno found her on the web and made my first visit. I was a walk in so the waiting didnt bother me - wait time was aprox 3 hours. I explained my symptoms to the doctor and she gave me a diagnostic which was wrong. I took medicine that I did not need to take for weeks. Went back again and again because she couldnt find what was wrong with me. By this time I was in serious pain and extremely concerned. The last time I went to her she said it was a yeast infection the prescription she provided did nothing to me. I ended up going back to my old gyno which is an hour away from where I live. Turns out I did have a yeast infection but was not treated properly. On top of that her office sent outrageous bills to the insurance company for each visit. I do not recommend her.
Avoid this doctor. Everything was fine until my insurance changed at 6 months pregnancy, she agreed to keep me as a patient tho the payment would be made as an out of network provider, if she even recieved one.She appeared in my room maybe twice during my delivery for less than 5 minutes, ended up with a C-section, lost her privledges at englewood hospital where i wanted to deliver, so i was stuck going to hackensack hospital, WHICH SHE ALSO LOST HER PRIVLEGES AT. SHE CANT OPERATE OUT OF EITHER HOSPITAL CURRENTLY.Please be diligent and ask questions. I wish i listened to my gut and cut ties when i realized i was getting less than minimal service from Dr.Hetal Gor due to switching from Horizon BCBS to Amerihealth insurance.Even tho my insurance paid her over $31,000 she still sued me for the $1500 deductable, her lawyers office refused to send paperwork that i asked for multiple times, I also called her office and asked several times for my chart and was willing to pay per page.If this review can dissuade atleast one patient, it is worth the suffering this doctor caused me through my pregnancy and delivery.
I went to Dr Gor office, among 4 total visits, 3 of them were horrible. In initial meeting, Dr was pleasant and my wait was about 1 hour. But in all the other remaining visits, excessive wait, average wait time 2hrs, employee working these doesnt care at all. Its not because dr gives times to her patient, she hardly gave 5-7 mins to us in each subsequent visits. I noticed her alone in her suite doing other work while patients are waiting out. Its very ridiculous to waste everyone time this way. On top of it, she is rude and doesnt answer all question patient has and Rush them out. Maybe she is racist against Indians? Employees when I inquire how long respond, dont know and says you can leave if you want. Worst experience ever. I ll never recommend anyone to visit here. My time is just as precious, I m also a CEO of large enterprise and been very professional and this is probably my first complaint for anyone in life. I would recommend you to go there, only if you want to waste time and meet a rude people.
Well I regret going there. First I waited in the exam room for around 30 40 mins before the doctor came in to examine me ...I saw them taking patients who had come after me. It was so frustrating!Secondly they o my accept cash /check. In my case I had to pay the visit amount twice because for some reason they lost the paper trail of my payment. They kept sending me notices .. including a one for collection, inspite of me having that paid 6 months back.Save yourself some time and energy and find another doctor.
Dr. Gor is wonderful and knowledgeable. I have no complaints, but would have given the extra star if she accepted debit card, and if she utilized electronic health record system, especially for sending prescriptions to the pharmacy ahead of pick up.
Worst Experience . I wondered how she gets 3.5 star rating. I was new to New jersey and I told this dr all my conditions. But just forget about helping anybody in need . She is badly money minded. The reason I cant forget her after almost 2 years because she told me a lie that I am carring a girl though it was a boy. That time I was almost 5 months pregnant and my previous dr told me Its a boy. And she said me 95% its a girl. I really dont know why she said like that. How cud a gynea cant see the sex of baby.It was not about boy or girl . It was all about the wrong info. And the way she treated us.Sorry to say Dr Hetal Gor I delievered a boy and thank god that time i moved to new york and saved from you. Please dont misguide people.
Dr.Gor performed my partial hysterectomy over a year. I have completely recovered, and am painfree and discomfortfree. My sex life is great! She is a wonderful doctor. Please consider her for your gynecological needs.
I havent built a relationship with dr. Gor yet, since Im new. However, my second visit experience is undesirable. My appointment was 11:30am. I was 15mins early, but waited for 3.5hrs to be seen by the doctor.
If there was less than a star I would get that.. horrible experience in terms of wait times. Absolutely no value for your time. When it come to money they will charge upfront as soon as you step in even though you have insurance . When the insurance adjustment happens and god forbid if you have a refund ... good luck with that.I did the same and all I have is three months of calling back and forth.. and one lie of cheque being sent already which never came.Look somewhere else. save yourself the agony.
Dr. Gor is an amazing Professional!! Always delivering her very best to us patients! Thank you Dr. Gor. and staff for all your kindness! Great office!
Very professional, warm and caring. I have been with her for the past five years after my OB-GYN retired. She checks your total well-being.
Informative, extremely knowledgeable and caring. Regular personal follow ups. Would highly recommend her without hesitation.
A solid physician. I really like her. I cant wait to start my journey with her.
She is always understanding and caring, also really efficient as a doctor. My favorite gynecologist!
Very sweet and informative. Really takes time to listen to your needs and provides solutions. I definitely recommend her!
I had a quick appointment but the staff and the doctor were very friendly. Great experience.
Omg billl came $3000. Hetal said $600 fit. How came $3000. HaYou tried get $$$$$. Never go again ✌️
Wednesday, December 23rd at 8:40 a.m.Im a Korean who called.Im sorry, but can I get the hospital e-mail?
Please check your email. PlsPlease give me an answer.Im the one who wrote the review yesterday.(벅벅)
Not good very rude and She thinks She’s the only dr. in the planet 😳
Extremely long waiting time, bad experience no communication from anyone in the office
Very happy and would always recommend.
Dr Gor is a wonderful Dr.
