Transgender care center should sorta be slightly more progressive with gender identity in my opinion. Walking in and being identified immediately as sir, nor understanding after acknowledgement that we identify other wise is kinda disrespectful. Thanks Charlotte.Nor does this worker know how to use interface to find out an balance due.Youre doing so well with words we can barely hear your muttering, and working in a transgendercare facility. :)The workers on their phones. This place is unprofessional.
Clean and updated facility. Everyone from the front end staff, to the nurses and doctors, are amazing. Incredibly empathetic and personable. The only medical facility Ive ever felt taken care of at, and been completely informed with any questions Ive had.
They are so nice here the whole staff . Jackie was my MA today she took great care of me very informative explained everything perfectly thank you !
They always take care of me and they make me feel comfortable. They listen to my concerns and help me with everything. Also very clean and nice place.
I’ve always gone to a planned parenthood for Hormone Replacement Therapy. This so far is my favorite clinic, there may be protestors but it’s never more than 5. My doctor, Dr Oldaker is very sweet and easy to talk to. I always feel so welcomed! I mentioned how I had a difficult time getting my blood drawn because it made me nervous and they sat there and talked to me about my tattoos. The building itself also feels like a regular doctors office. i’ll say it’s a little bit of walking back and forth but nothing crazy. The building also feels very secure, the doors are locked and you have to be buzzed in- from there you’ll be in the front room where they’ll ask for your ID and insurance card. Then you’ll be allowed into the main waiting room. I do like this place, just make sure you drive past the people in orange vests lol
Had an appt at 12:20pm but we were the LAST ones in the lobby & didn’t leave until a little past 4:30pm. Absolutely ridiculous because you are told to not eat 8hrs before your appt or drink anything so I was light headed & extremely annoyed. 4 girls showed up after me & we were the last ones in the lobby. Then for my procedure they were trying to hurry up because they were closing so I was rushed after my procedure when I was in the recovery room. As if this decision isn’t hard enough they make it worse by having to spend your whole day there damn near. Will try any pp before I go back to this one.
I had a wonderful experience here. I went for the birth control implant and I was super nervous because I have never been on birth control. The people here were so kind and sweet and answered all my questions. I was seen promptly and my procedure was so fast. The security made me feel very safe. Dont let the awful protesters outside deter you; Planned Parenthood is a beautiful resource.
My experience was great! All the nurses and workers were absolutely amazing. Explaining everything about my procedure. No one judged me. Thank you guys 🙏🏾
I think this is my 2nd or 3rd visit here and I won’t be back. The people that work in the lab have nasty attitudes and I personally didn’t like the way I was handled today. The young lady that did my lab was new and handled me great, but whomever the Hispanic lady was that was hovering over her and making my visit uncomfortable needs to go back to customer service class. It seems like they only employ these young Hispanic women with nasty attitudes. The other two were in the corner giggling and later were in another office sitting down doing nothing. Complete trash! They don’t even know what company they send the labs to. I hope the new girl finds another place to work. She is too good for this place. Next time I will wait to get an appointment with my regular doctor. Sometimes you just have to be patient to get quality service! Lesson learned.
I initially loved them and recommended not only this clinic but every other one for the company() as a whole, but ever since they posted their statement on Twitter (now named X) on their support of Israel and their genocide of the Palestinian people in Gaza, I can no longer support them and will take my gender affirming care elsewhere.
I appreciate the staff here, I had issues with my insurance so I couldnt get into see a doctor at obgyn office until I was into my 2nd trimester. The Bridges to Prenatal Care Program was extremely helpful to starting my prenatal care, that way I could transition smoothly to an Obgyn office. Melissa the Case Manager was a huge help in advocating for me and my babies.
Do not go to this planned parenthood! I don’t necessarily know if I would the blame the office rather than the doctor. Dr. Brown was her name I believe? Left me with an incomplete procedure and multiple complications to come that I had no clue about. One of them being a blood transfusion and a second surgery! All I can say is maybe avoid the doctor more so than the office. Do not go here! Like most people say if I could give zero stars I would
Honestly I am not sure what the bad reviews are about. I know the same people don’t work every day but my experience today was more than I could have asked for. My appointment was at 10am and I was seen immediately. But besides that, everyone was so welcoming and comforting. By far the best planned parenthood I have been to.
My experience here was horrible. First, my appointment was at 10:45 am but I wasnt seen until noon. Thats so unprofessional and ridiculous. I was also receiving sedation and had the unfortunate experience with Pam. She was so incredibly rude. Her bedside manner was horrible. I overheard her speaking to the young lady next to me before coming to me and I was so shocked and saddened. Speaking down and chastising young women who are scared and emotional shouldnt be tolerated. She even had the nerve to complain to ME about her not being able to find a vein on me and her wanting to go home since I was their last person. She said, Girl, Im trying to go home, you are our last patient and we cant find even find a vein on you... Note that it only took her maybe 5 minutes to find a vein and insert the IV for my sedation. MAYBE if I was called for my appointment at the time I was scheduled for, no one would have to stay over. I couldnt wait to get out of there. She made me feel horrible.
Worst scariest experience ever received two doses of misoprostol I told the nurse I was RH negative and they told me I didn’t need the rhogham shot because I wasn’t far enough along. The first dose of whatever they gave me in office made me bleed even though they said it wouldn’t & after I took the first dose misoprostol I was fine and lost a bunch of blood & blood clots running through the pad superQuick I was hesitant on the 2nd dose but took it anyway and that’s when the nightmare began about 1hr later IGot up to use the bathroom was extremely dizzy I fainted about 6 times and had to be rushed to the hospital my blood pressure was too low and low and behold I needed my RHOGHAM shot like I told them . They did not even run any blood test on me before giving me the abortion pills, according to the dr at the ER they are always supposed toDo blood work I should have listened to the man outside telling me they weren’t licensed, lesson learned
The place clean and the staff are all nice. I had implant removal and get new one same day so just one pain it was so quick. I suggest you set appointment early and call them when your in the parking lot because of this covid then they will call you back to go inside the building.
The staff was very friendly & Ashley, the nurse, did a very good job providing care & comfort for me after my recovery. Thank you for the pleasant experience.
Everything here was great and everyone was nice until i decided i no longer wanted to continue with my abortion. i was already hesitant to continue, i wanted to keep it but i believed this was my best option. i was assured it would be quick, and not very painful. the sedation i received did absolutely nothing, and the doctor said if it was too painful we could stop to inject lidocaine. This procedure was the most painful thing i have ever experienced in my life. I was screaming at them, and saying i did not want it, and they did not stop. They inserted the suction tube while i was saying i did not want it, and i never received any lidocaine. The only support i received during this was a nurse telling me youre doing great WHILE i was screaming that i no longer wanted the procedure. I have lost trust in doctors. This was traumatizing and i can not understand how it was legal.
All the ladies was very supportive 🥹 they all made me feel so safe, during a very sad time
I’ve had a lot of problems with my body and have been a lot of places…. This is my go to forever now.I can’t think of one bad things to say.I love this location…also, everything was free fir me. If you don’t have money or insurance ask them what you can do…. They will guide you through your steps to accomplish whatever the reason your going there. If it seems like a lot of work, it’s not. Pretty simple & it worth it. I can assure you this is the best place from Chicago to the boarder of NWI to Beecher to Joliet. (South Suburbs)
I wouldn’t recommend this location. There was no physician on site. I was left in the back after my procedure and was given no directions after. I end up just walking out. Not even sure if my appointment was complete
Clean facility, nice staff. The wait is extremely to long. My appointment was at 11 i got here at 10 50. Its 12 37 and i still havent been seen.
Amazing staff. Makes you feel extremely comfortable and safe. Better than central IL locations. Very fast paced.
This location is amazing. I loved it. The staff is super friendly. I was in and out of my appointment so fast. Would highly recommend coming here
Very nice staff & the facility is clean! Setting appointment was easy & right away. I highly recommend this location.
I love this place. They essentially saved my life and I will forever be grateful. Everyone was so helpful, understanding and patient with me. Thank you!!
Wait times arent long at all. Very clean and professional environment. Staff are nice and thoroughly support you as you go through services.
I came in for birth control and Amanda and Sherri were so so so knowledgeable, friendly and accommodating
Very nice place & staff i had a very nice experience the staff really helps u feel comfortable
Doesn’t matter about you making an appointment you still have to wait for hours .. very unprofessional and loud ..
Doesn’t matter if you book an appointment. You’ll have to wait if walk ins are there before you.
Everyone here are so amazing and understanding.
