I saw Dr Johnson for the first time a year or two ago. Setting an appointment was relatively easy and the ladies at the clinic were generally kind. Since Im not from MS, I needed a gynecologist here and I figured this clinic and Dr. Johnson would be a good fit. I wanted to set another appointment this year, and thats when I realized this clinic wasnt going to be the office to suit my needs. I called to schedule an appointment yesterday and was told Id receive a call back to schedule. I found this to be odd, as Ive generally been able to make any medical appointment on first contact, but it wasnt a big deal. The next morning, I received a call to schedule. I was asked the nature of my appointment and was then told that Dr. Johnson didnt have availability for annuals until January. It was unfortunate, but not a big deal. I thought surely since there are two other doctors in the office, Id be able to get an appointment with either of them for at least next month. NOPE. I asked for the doctor with the next availability and was then told that once you see one doctor you cant make an appointment with the others. I found this to be very very odd and nearly unheard of for a gynecologist office, especially when the patient just needs a basic annual. In some other specialties, I believe this is standard but definitely not for a womens clinic. I understand appointments for pregnant patients usually fill up fast and take precedent, but I find it to be way too inconvenient TO BE REQUIRED to wait for ONE doctor to have availability when the clinic has TWO other doctors that could have sooner availability. IF you can get an appointment with dr. johnson, shes lovely, but the rest of the logistics related to the clinic are overall disappointing and inconvenient.
I am very disappointed in this place. They handed us a bill for nearly 3500 dollars on the 1st visit and gave us 5 months to pay at 580ish a month. Whatever. First and second payment down, shabby care at best. They make you sit and wait just to be rushed by them when they finally actually see you in the back. My wifes doctor literally has spent less than 10 minutes with us in the past few visits. This is collectively. Not each visit... On the 2nd visit, we were also told that we owed additional money because insurance didnt cover some things (BCBS). We get on the patient portal and pay the FULL amount only to be told on todays visit that we still have a balance of 150 bucks. Im sorry but this clinic is unprofessional and money hungry. Like many women that have tried this clinic, my wife will be starting over with another dr.
I’ve been going to this location for about 5 years. The turn over rate for employees speaks volumes of how unprofessional they run a doctors office. They also want your money to deliver your children. But kids aren’t welcome into the office. So if you’re a single mom this isn’t the doctors office for you. Billing as well as management is impossible to get in contact with. They will overcharge you in fees, and won’t attempt to refund your funds. The nurses as well as labs techs all have nasty attitudes. Communication amongst everyone is horrible.
I was presented with my OB bill at 18 weeks pregnant and given 3 months to pay it. They wanted $500 from me at my next 3 appts. Where it was originally 5 months on the paper, that was marked through, and 3 months was written in. When I asked Margeret why I wasn’t given this at my first or second appt, I was told because they “didn’t know I was pregnant”. Huh?? You have my records. Toney or Tawny also stated that the woman who normally does this quite. She said to accommodate me I could pay what I could. So, at my next appt when she asked what I could pay I told her, and she said no I had to pay half before I could continue my care with the doctor. $750 when I was just given this at the appt before this one. So, I was unable to have my baby checked on that day due to their negligence and lies. I called to speak to the office manager after I left upset, crying, and stressed. She was no help, she said that she could not speak on the conversation with me and the other woman which I understand but she also provided no resolution. I called back this week to speak with Toney (or Tawny) and she doesn’t let you get any words in, so I requested Margaret to call me back and I received a voicemail stating that Dr. Tameka Johnson said directly that I could either transfer my care or pay the full amount at my next appt. At 23 weeks pregnant now this is what they put on your plate to deal with now I have to start over with someone new halfway through my pregnancy.
This place has gone down. Seems to be surrounded around $$. You have to pay for masks as if it’s still the height of a pandemic.As far as bedside care..my doctor had great bedside care but otherwise had NO IDEA of my care when walking into the room. She would ask ME, “oh did I put you on that”, “remind me what diagnosis you have” “remind me, how far along you are”.. oh yeah, they wait until you’re TWENTY ONE WEEKS to ask you for a huge amount “to deliver your baby & the money goes directly to the doctor”!!!! No one tells you this at the beginning.Also. The wait time? Go ahead & knock off your ENTIRE schedule for that day.
I have been trying to make an appointment for at least 2 weeks. No answer and sometimes the phone goes to VM. I even did an online appointment more than once with no cb. I finally gt someone to answer bt she couldnt schedule appointments without dr consebt and she took my info I asked whats the eta on receiving a cb for an appointment and she said she didnt know. That was 2 days ago. I originally saw good reviews when I decided to use this clinic bt I just read the reviews again and will go elsewhere. I dont understand the delay in appointment when I have BCBS and its a recommended insurance provider for them.
I love my OBGYN! Dr. Ford is outstanding. She is super smart. She has guided me through 2 very complicated pregnancies. Her bedside manner is great. The clinic is always clean. You still have to wear a mask which is great!
Love Dr. Johnson, but the $2 mask charge at check in is crazy. Why not inform patients when they make their appointment that masks are required? I would have happily brought one with me. I didnt have cash and the front desk clerk did not even attempt to accommodate me by offering to add it to my bill or allow me to pay with card. And I would absolutely NOT be going back home just to grab a mask. Unfortunately, this resulted in my appointment being cancelled. I will not be rescheduling.
I dont know what else to do other than leave a review online and possibly report to the better business bureau. I was a patient there a couple of years ago and had a balance of $12 dollars that was paid to the online portal. I have proof of this. I have been receiving bills since then for the same $12 and got a report from the office that there was poor management in the office and many patients were getting bills for payments they had already made. I have been pushed around by the billing office FOR MONTHS. You can only leave a message and ask for a call back which never happens. I have called the office several times to inform them and after waiting an hour each time, hang up because I cant get anyone to answer the phone. This is bad practice management and customer service. I loved Dr. Johnson, but this is not how you run a business or a practice. She may not even be aware that patients are having trouble like this. Charging people for payments they have already made is one issue, but the run around and not being able to reach the office for help is another.
This place always has a horrible wait time. I always come about 20-30 minutes early, and I still wait almost 2 hours. Today I came at 10:45 and my appointment was for 11:15. Its now 12:20 and I have still not seen anybody!Also, Ive come back quite a few times concerning health concerns and the second visit and beyond, Dr Hardeman was very nonchalant about these concerns. I also bought a mask here ($2 btw), but I think its kind of ridiculous to charge for a mask at this point. Im all for safety, I dont mind masks when Im sick or around people who are sick, but its been 4 years. covid isnt going away.
Dr. Johnson is great and very knowledgeable, but staff is borderline rude and nonchalant. There billing department is HORRIBLE/JESSICA,Did a deposit for surgery then they waited to bill my insurance so they can get paid fully, and every time I call regarding my refund. Im requested to leave a message but never a return phone call. At this point is seems fraudulent activity will billing and insurance claims.
Dr. Johnson is great! Mannerisms and intellect is what I look for and I got all that plus some!
Friendly staff and friendly doctor. I was seen by Dr. Hardeman, who was very kind and attentive, however the wait time I experienced was unacceptable. My appointment was scheduled for 8:15am but I was not seen by the Dr. until almost 10am (around 9:45). One would need to take a day off from work for an appointment at this clinic. As a result of the wait time, I missed more than an hour of pay. Upon checking out, I was asked if I would like to schedule an appointment for next year. To be polite, I agreed; however, I believe I will cancel that appointment and find another clinic. Please do something about the long wait time.
I personally don’t have an issue with the doctors, they were absolutely great but their billing team is HORRIBLE! I have been waiting since September 2022 to receive my ob deposit back and still haven’t gotten it! It is now almost May 2023. I’ve been getting the run around for months now and no one can you anything! It’s just horrible. They continuously put you off to another person which you can never get into touch with. No one ever answers the phone. And make sure you keep all records because initially they had “no records” of me paying for anything. Thank God I kept my check!
Dr Hardeman is great! I saw her for the care of both my pregnancies and possible the third. In fact, all the staff you see once you go to the back for your appointment are amazing. But honestly, the front desk staff can be a bit off putting sometimes. It has gotten better, but I feel its honestly hit and miss a lot of times.
I have been a patient of Dr Sullivan Ford for over 25 years, but requiring patients to wear a mask AND requiring them to pay $2 for a disposable mask if they didn’t bring one when it is 2024 and weren’t told it would be needed is too much. Time to go somewhere new.

I have been seeing Dr. Hardeman ever since I was 16 years old. I am now 28 years old and have decided to seek a new OB. Although she is very knowledgeable and polite in her practice, the wait time and the response time is awful. I have sent several messages in the patient portal concerning some medical issues that I have been having, and I can hardly ever get a response. I sent a message 6/1, 3 business days later and no response. Specifically, I sent messages asking for a referral to see specialist doctor, and after Dr. Hardeman said that she would make the referral, I never heard back from her, even after reaching out AGAIN! Please don’t make plans if you have to visit the clinic because you will be waiting all day! I’ve been there for hours just waiting to be seen, only to be left after a quick 3-5 minute rush once she comes in. It’s untimely, unprofessional, and I plan to go somewhere else. No thanks!
Dr. Johnson has been my doctor since 2013. She has handled 2 surgeries and 2 babies for me! She’s absolutely the best! She’s very attentive and listens to any concerns or questions you may have. She’ll be my doctor until she retires! We love her! ❤️
Dr. Johnson is so amazing! She delivered my first baby last week and she has been nothing less of God sent the entire journey. From the moment I first met her for my first appointment I knew I’d love her and I wasn’t wrong. I will now be seeing her as my primary obgyn and hopefully she will deliver the rest of my children down the line!
Every time I come to see Dr Johnson, everyone is soo sweet! From the time I walk in to the time I check out- literally nothing but smiles and the atmosphere is the BEST! And when Dr johnson comes in the room, you just feel such a calmness come over and know that you are FOR SURE being taken care of! I literally trust Dr Johnson with my life! Shes my girl!!! If anyone can help you, or figure out what’s going on and take your stress away, it’s DR TAMEKA JOHNSON! She’s a gem for sure! So thankful for these amazing group of people!
I have been a patient for over 10 years of my ob. Recently I was pushed to do this review. I am all about women’s health and doing the best for the Women of Mississippi. So when you start charging $2 for masks at the counter and turning women away due to not paying the full balance. I have an issue with that. Are you really about women’s health or money? I’m sorry but they lost a patient .
Everything started out good sonogram tech very nice and sweet. Dr. Sullivan-Ford wonderful made me and my daughter feel very comfortable. O but when I got sent to check out and Nikki. They BOTH very rude I have never went to such a beautiful office with such ugly people collecting the money. I was a paying patient and was treated so disrespectful. I was told I couldn’t get an appointment card to write it down. I was always told to treat people the way you want to be treated because you never know when you will see that same person again and it’s you that on the other side of the counter checking out. So with that all being said I will be spending my hard earn money somewhere else.
I love my OB dr Johnson but every time I come I have a negative experience with the front desk staff. I’ve seen them be rude to several women at every appointment. I’ve had a very difficult pregnancy and coming into an office and being talked to and treated that way is so upsetting. I love dr Johnson but if I wasn’t so far in my pregnancy I would switch doctors for this reason. Thank God this is my last pregnancy.
I’ve been going to one of these doctors for years, before they moved to this location. But today as I’m being mishandled by the receptionist which I’ve have never experienced not at the new location. First of all I wouldn’t dare come to a doctors appointment and knowing that my insurance is inactive and then try to use it. Mind you I have driven over an hour to get to my appointment. But this receptionist was dead set on embarrassing me and telling me I don’t have insurance. I even asked her to call the number in which she replied we don’t normally have to do that. Ok but today you may have to pick up a phone and do that but she refuses.. goes in back and comes back and hands me my card with an attitude (which I was getting from the time I stepped to desk) and says it’s inactive with all the smugness she had.. I took my card and left.. but called back and spoke to someone else who was awesome (billing) I’m waiting for about 30 minutes no call I call back and Lo and behold I got Insurance but this particular receptionist wouldn’t call me back. I love Dr. Sullivan and will miss her but she definitely needs to address that receptionist because this is not how you treat patients.
I went to several doctors appointment with my daughter here at this clinic. She was paying anywhere from $200-$300 a month plus having Blue Cross Blue Shield insurance. The checkout people are terrible! Rather than wait on Blue Cross Blue Shield to pay their portion of the bill after my daughter had surgery, (c-section) the staff harassed her continually about paying more than $300 a month. Because she could not pay more on the bill, she was dropped as a patient-she had been going to Dr. Hardeman for over eight years. It was obvious that the billing person did not know how to do her job. She was rude and seemed to be only about the money not the patient. Dr. Hardeman, on the other hand, was perfect. However being treated so disrespectfully by staff is unacceptable.
I had a pleasant experience with the nurses and other staff. My problem is, I had to fight with the doctor to check my IUD. I came in initially thinking and suggesting to her that it was possibly out of place. She convinced me that was not the issue. She even made the comment that my strings were extremely long (another clue 🙄). I had to come back and pay more $$ to finally get a sonogram showing my IUD sitting in the middle of my cervix instead of comfortably inside my uterus.
This place is absolutely amazing. When you step off of the elevator it feels like youre about to go to a spa day. The front desk staff was warm and pleasant. You have the option of receiving your paperwork electronically, downloading it from their website or filling it in onsite. Mrs. Susan (ultrasound) is so nice and congenial. Dr. Johnson is AMAZING!! Her bedside manner is truly one of a kind. She takes her time with you, answers your questions, educates you instead of giving you a bunch of pamphlets and brochures and makes sure when you leave you understand everything. She walked me to the check out station, which isnt something many doctors do. She left me in the quite capable hands of Ms. Connie, who is such a sweetheart. The energy of the office is warm, friendly and calm. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for an OB/GYN!
I am so glad I found this clinic, Dr. Johnson was great!! I had a lot of anxiety around going to the doctor, & Dr. Johnson was patient with me. She walked me through every procedure & explained everything. Total appointment with doctor visit & bloodwork was around 30 mins! The ladies at reception desk & checkout were nice as well. I would recommend this clinic to anyone.
Dr. Johnson is the best! My family loves her! Ive never had a doctor that is more real and personable than her! She is easy to talk to, very understanding, listens to your concerns, and truly cares about her patients! Love, Love, Love, Dr. Johnson!
So I’ve heard amazing things about the doctor but the person scheduling appointments was so rude. Even my insurance called and said she was rude. I don’t know what her problem was but maybe get someone else on the phone. She was really horrible.
Dr. Sullivan-Ford has been my doctor for the last 13 years! She’s very patient and takes the time to answer all my questions about my health. She’s phenomenal! She delivered my daughter and my experience was great! I’m so glad to see this happening!
Ive been seeing Dr. Sullivan-Ford for about 25 years. I absolutely love her, shes so sweet and she actually cares about her patients. I started using her when she was with Riveroaks and followed her here when she moved. Shes such a blessing to many women.
I was searching for a new Gynecologist. I found LPWC on Google. As I entered the space, the waterfall was so calming, it makes you feel at peace. The color schemes make me feel safe. The lobby is large, open, airy and flooded with natural sun light. The large space definitely complies with all COVID and Monkey Pop Regulations. And the decor is just beautiful. The furniture looks expensive, and the Art is exquisite. Even the medical rooms decor is gorgeous. Thank you for a great experience. I think I have found my new GYN Doctor.
Unfortunately I never had a direct experience with a physician. When I called to make an appointment, I mistakenly called the physicians line. The lady named Ranada was so rude and short with me and didnt offer to redirect me. Her tone was very confrontational, and there was nothing nice about her approach. After telling me that this was a physicians line 3 times, because she clearly wasnt listening to what I had to say, she simply hung up without offering any assistance or even saying goodbye. She was clearly having a bad day and needs some serious customer service training, or another job.Maybe she doesnt realize she represents the Lakeland Physicians and that she is their face of customer service on the physicians line .From this experience I left feeling that I was wasting her time, and not important; and was offended that she hung up on me. She could have directed me to the appointment line but I guess that wasnt important to her.Definitely an opportunity for improvement! Maybe Lakelands Physicians should move her back into medical records so she doesnt have to speak to patients.Lakeland Physicians just lost a new client and by word of mouth, you can bet a few others. They have Ranada to thank!
I have been going here since they opened but I am no longer willing to accept their poor behavior lack of knowledge and lies. The CDC had issued certain guidelines mainly stating that patients wear a mask and social distance. They dont have any arrangements for people who have young children that they can not leave at home or in a car by themselves. Theyre only offering for you to leave your child or children unattended somewhere. The CDC says where a mask social distance and keep occupancy low. Nowhere does their website state that you should leave kids in a hot car or in a lobby by themselves. I have included a picture of the so called sign that states a policy thats being going on since March 17,2020. There is not a date on the picture. I have not been there in 12 weeks and Im supposed to know about this. I was not texted or called nor did I receive a letter. I dont understand why they havent informed ALL patients before they drive all the way to Flowood.Edit. This had nothing to do with the actual doctors themselves. This had completely to do with the wait staff. They suck, are rude and dont know how to talk to people properly. I most likely will be setting up future appointments with another clinic I dont like rudeness. If Im not rude to you then youre not allowed to be rude with me
Front desk staff very rude and unprofessional. Nice facility, waited over 45 minutes . I walked up to ask registration staff a question, I was rudely informed she didn’t know. I left without being seen after an hour wait. I love to support Black woman , we must do better for our people. I would not recommend.
Today I saw Dr. Sullivan and can I just say I adored her. She was so willing to answer all my questions and made my visit so comfortable. Her motherly spirit made all my worries at ease and I’m so happy to have chosen this clinic.
I dont recommend this facility. Front desk and Check out staff are so rude, They also does uneven billing. In my wife case they charged Medical insured of preventive which is completely wrong...Even after lot of conversations, nothing got solved.1. Initially this would have charged like preventive... But charged like regular visit and test.2. So I paid visiting + testing charges on same day. Later after 15days, I got to know from my insurance company that I overpaid and never received this information from Doctors office3. After I contacted doctors office, they accepted about my over payment and sent back a check against my over payment4. Again after 20days got mail to that I need to pay additional amount for additional test.... This is totally confusing from Visit to billing....
During the nurses assessment, the nurse made negative and shocked facial expressions when I explained my reason for being there, it made me feel very judged and ashamed of my body. I am a nursing student and it really made me upset to see this type of action from someone I look forward to being like in the future. Some people cannot help their medical issues and it is never professional to act any other way besides understanding. I went to another facility and felt so ashamed of myself to tell the doctor what was wrong. Only this nurse and doctor duo showed understanding and helped me immediately. My issues are no longer and it was solved within a week. I am now happy and healthier. Update: somehow I got a sonogram done with another hospital and never got a bill with my tricare insurance but I somehow got a bill here and was never fully examined or prescribed anything. Im not assuming anything here I just thought this information might help someone else with their choice of hospitals if they are on tricare.
Me and my wife are about to have our first child. The service is absolutely terrible. They schedule us for a 9 o clock appointment and then made us wait until 10 before actually seeing us. When I approached to ask she simply said “we’re busy”.Once we were submitted at 10, they checked my wife’s vitals and made her sit in a room for another 45 minutes.If your busy, then don’t schedule 40 people for a 9 o’clock appointment. You’ve wasted me and my wife’s valuable time.We also had 12 pregnant women walk in after us and get submitted before us. This is not how you treat people. If we showed you honor by being here 15 min early (and we’re the ones paying), you should have some type of honor and respect for our time.
To come here on International Women’s Day, I was so blessed to have met such an amazing group of women working at this office. From beginning to end, every single person I spoke to or that took care of me, made me feel so safe & comfortable. & Thank you Dr. Johnson for making sure I was heard & for dotting all i’s & crossing all t’s 💕 Thank you ladies & happy international women’s day! 🙏🏽
It is one of the best clinic you should go. I’m so glad I found it and I recommend it to everyone. I have dr.Johnson, she is the best doctor I have ever meet. She makes everything go easy and comfortable.

Rude! I see Im not the only one. The front desk woman is SUPER RUDEIm so sorry I dont have her name to place here. She is definitely in the wrong position, perhaps they she allow her to get get behind the scenes cleaning lady. **You all need to correct that. Others in the comments here are saying the same.
Dr. Sullivan-Ford is the absolute best!!! Where ever she go, I will follow!!! My experience has been great and she have educated me on many levels about my lady parts.

Terrible service that inconvenienced me and my unborn child. Had me waiting to hear back from them for an appt only to find out a month later that they couldnt accept me in the first place due to space..... AFTER I had to re-fill out a form that I submitted into their office because they couldnt find it. 🙄 Called an office at Merit Health and was accepted immediately. I could kick myself.
Dr. Johnson is my doctor and she’s amazing. I’ve been cared for at various times by the other partners as well, and they are equally powerful women and doctors.
