Absolutely loved Woodglen Medical group. I just had my third baby but this is the first time Ive been with Woodglen. Of all the OBGYNs Ive had, they are by far the best. I had a wonderful experience all nine months and a great delivery. I can see why they were so highly recommended by my friends.
3 years later almost 4 and I’m finally writing this review. Dr. Kassar is such a good doctor. However, when I delivered my son he wasn’t on call so I got doctor Alvarez Mott and let me tell you…he’s is very rude. He was called multiple times and said he was on his way and did not show up till hours later. The nurse had me push when my son wasn’t even in the position to start pushing. I was at station negative 2 and usually at positive 2 you start. So I was pushing for 4 HOURS. Dr. Alvarez shows up and makes a rude comment. He says “are you going to be able to do this” and I have a confused look and he says “well normally you push for 1/2 hours not 4 hours”…like umm excuse me sir I’ve been doing what however told me to do. It was very unprofessional and made me extremely uncomfortable. Well turns out my son had a shoulder dystocia as his shoulder got stuck…& now has erbs palsy. After everything he made it seem like it wasn’t a big deal and even asked how “much weight I gained throughout the pregnancy” & said that could be why that happened. I had no idea till the next day how bad it was. My sons arm was limp. Never did the hospital or doctor report it so we could get any type of services. They made it seem like it wasn’t a big deal. Now at almost age 4..he’s finally seeing children’s hospital and getting the help we could have gotten YEARS AGO. The nurses at the time even told me that he’s ALWAYS late and that Dr. Kassar is always there early and on time waiting to be called in. Be careful. That was my first baby and the whole experience still to this day haunts me. My son now has to undergo intensive surgeries to have a chance at having a normal functioning arm. I’ve had two more kids since then with a different doctor and I can assure you the service and care I received was significantly greater. He even told me he NEVER has his patients start pushing till they are at station 2. Hope this helps you with your decision so no other person or child has to go through what we did!!!
Calling in if you missed an appointment is indeed hard. I was instructed to just stop by if calling in is not working for me. Staff are patient and kind. They are in the process of expanding their phone lines in order to take more calls. The care has been wonderful. Dr Kassar has a great bedside manner and is knowledgeable about my condition.Edit: They have upgraded their phone system. Calls are now working well.
Front office might struggle with organization. Led to negligence while I was a patient unfortunately. Could have ended badly if I hadn’t caught it, but I gave them grace and continued under their care. Then Young Dr. Kassar seemed to not even remember what was on my chart when I visited, felt like I had to remind him a few times. Yikes. He had great bedside manner, so there’s the extra star for that. Maybe they have too many patients to keep up, idk. Long wait times on the waiting room, always on hold on the phone… plus now that they are under a new medical group, dealing with billing mistakes is no easy task. Hours of my time spent. The billing lady was polite, and I would have overlooked the whole thing if the front office lady didnt originally act so short with me, saying they were doing a big courtesy by trying to help me with my problem. It wasn’t MY problem, it was a lack of organization or communication somewhere on their side, but thanks for the “courtesy” of doing your job. If you’re from Glendora, do yourself a favor and just drive further away for a better practice. Would probably be more time efficient for you.
Dr. Naim Kassar is very kind and genuinely cares for his patients. He keeps the visits very professional. I’ve been going there for years now and recently had to have a procedure done. Dr. put me at ease. His medical staff were INCREDIBLE and made a scary (for me) procedure actually fun some how. Now, I feel a love for this group that I didn’t have before. I also love that Doc is a believer in Jesus Christ. It’s important to me that we share the same faith.I do wish the front desk girls were more friendly but honestly, I think they are very busy and do their best to try to be personable.
My ultrasound was at 8 my dr appointment at 9 I was done at 11... They opened late and were way overbooked I was one of 10 coming in at 8. They handed me my paperwork then told me at 8:20 that I had to go somewhere else for the ultrasound so I took my paperwork and went to the next office. Since my husband couldnt come in due to covid-19 I was told I could get a dvd. They helped people who came in after me first so I didnt get helped until 8:50. When I went in the guys was like no video picture only. So I asked if I could face time my husband he said ok but began the process while I was still dialing. He said youre baby my picture showed up with a heartbeat and I was done. He gave me, a first time mom 2 minutes. I only knew it was a heartbeat because I watch tv. He gave me zero explanation then had me leave. Things got better after this, the doctor was great but they were extremely disorganized.I stayed with them my whole pregnancy hoping things would get better. While the doctor and nurses were nice while there. They never answer the phone or call you back. They are also the first doctor Ive gone to where you dont get a reminder call the day before your appointment. The wait time is always long. They didnt let me know when they started allowing other people in for appointments I found out from another patient, because of this my husband missed out on our babies ultrasound.Since it was Saturday when I went into labor i was told to go to the hospital that there was no on call doctor at the office. I was in labor until Monday and my doctor never arrived. The hospital couldnt get a hold of my records so they had to repeat a bunch of tests.
Dr. Sam Kassar and his team are the best. I always leave my appointments happy and confident. He answers all my questions and never once made me feel uncomfortable or unsure. I just delivered my first baby with him this week and never felt nervous because of how professional and reassuring he is. I will never go to another OB-GYN.
I want to start off by saying that I LOVE my doctor. Dr Kassar is friendly, kind, welcoming and extremely professional. Every visit that Ive had doesnt even last an hour. Thats even including if you need labs done. Super fast and the staff are so friendly and professional. I also had my surgery at their center. At the surgery center the staff was extremely Friendly and understanding. I had no problems with getting answers to any questions I would have. Had no problems with my fallow up appointment. I even had dr kassar call me when he thought I was late. To make sure I got to my appointment, no matter how late I was. The only negative thing I would have to say if anything. Is that the parking lot is extremely small. Depending on the time of day it will be hard to find parking; but if thats the only thing that would stop you. Then your loss is my gain in less waiting time. Highly recommend him to everyone!
NO CUSTOMER SERVICE! NO FEMALE DOCTORS!!I wasn’t even able to become a patient and I never received any calls back to schedule an appointment after I called over 3 times the following week. When I was able to finally reach someone she was EXTREMELY RUDE!! As soon as I realized there were no female doctors she didn’t offer any other recommendation she hung up on me immediately!!!!! Horrible service as a woman employee talking to a woman and dealing with woman’s health I would expect better customer service.
The male ultrasound technician is moody and makes patients feel unsafe. Nadia, the female ultrasound technician is rude and made me personally feel violated during the exam. The medical care is questionable at best. When I was gushing blood after the delivery of my child for several months they did nothing. When I had dense breast tissue and had multiple screenings in 6 months I never once heard from a doctor. When I had urinary incontinence and a swollen urethra they did nothing. Dont come here if you need quality medical care. The office staff is kurt and unprofessional. The office manager is over-worked and stressed to the point of being unable to do her job.
Ive been a patient here for over 2 years. The medical office staff are unprofessional. The doctors are hit and miss. Some of them are good. Others dont have any ability to conduct proper patient care. The imagine staff is rude and unprofessional. Both the ultrasound technicians are hot tempered and have incredibly poor patient care. Nadia, in particular, has no business interfacing with patients.
I was following up my pregnancy with Dr Anela Pulijc but ended up having a c-section with another Dr so I cannot give an opinion about this but she was very friendly and attentive during the visits. Unfortunately I cannot say the same about the staff at the clinic, most of them are very rude and unwilling to help, I hated my visits there because I had to deal with them. They are also very unprofessional and they have a communication problem between each other, I had a urine test there not only they lost the sample and asked me to pay twice even though I had already paid, they messed up the appointments dates and give contradictory information! I think the staff there are really terrible, I wouldnt want to deal with them again!
Dr. Samuel Kassar is a wonderful doctor. He always goes out of his way to make me feel more comfortable and at ease. He takes time to answer all my questions and explains a procedure in detail. I was nervous about a D&C surgery and he put me at ease. I would recommend him to my friends and family.
Hate this place so much :( the only good experience I had was with nurse practitioner Lindsey( not sure how she spells her name ) but regardless I hate this place so much. I actually saw her for all my prenatal visits because she was always so sweet and covered everything from my baby’s weight , health, status everything!! I could tell she cared and she made sure she told me everything i would want to know including my health. I wish she would deliver baby’s because I would go with her in a heartbeat! I wanted a natural delivery and it felt like this place was constantly pushing for a csection. I saw two different doctors and they seemed good but it was always an inconsistent experience . Some days I felt rushed , and some days I felt like they were awkward and didn’t tell me much etc. I was a first time mom and now I feel like I wish I went with a different place . I found Doctor K doesn’t check if you are even dilating even though I was 40weeks . Doc Alvarez does check so I saw him. Neither seem to strip membranes which I hear can help induce labor naturally. I ended up scheduling to get induced which I was giving wrong information on... so ended up staying in the hospital for that ... I went into labor and didn’t even see the doctor (Alvarez) till I had already been pushing and baby was about to come out. Honestly I would have liked to have a doctor atleast check up on me. In addition to that when he did walk in because the nurses said I was ready... he just looked and said not yet and walked out. It was so rude! Anyway I am traumatized from my experience to be honest and I regret going there because I believe it could have saved me a lot of stress or even possibly a csection. My son was suck during labor and if the doctor would have seen me or checked on me he could have possibly told me my son was stuck and saved me the 3 hours of pushing or the stress is caused my baby. I felt like they didn’t care about me and if they just wanted money ( honestly ) . If you can avoidThis place from my personal experience.
My wife was recommended this place for an Ob/Gyn from her primary physician. From the beginning it was a place that seemed highly uncomfortable as a place for women. There are posters all over the place pushing plastic surgery, including on the door where pregnant women are coming in to get their appointments done. The doctor we had was fine, which is why I am rating them the two, except he decided to frame everything in terms of “god’s plan” instead of explaining things scientifically. The doctor and staff in the surgery center were very caring during the miscarriage and D&C, and I will always be grateful to them for that. However, trying to get follow up appointments afterwards was impossible as the people tending to the phones do not always answer during business hours, respond to messages left, and they do not respond to emails. The plastic surgery push and the lack of professionalism on the part of administrative assistants leaves a lot to desire. We have since found a new Ob/Gyn office.
We been having good ultra sound vist with Elias and Nadia. Even the 3rd time to view alot of body parts and inner parts. They were able answer few questions and Dr. could share more about the health and measurements. We recommend you come here. Dr. Samuel Kessar have been genuinely kind and concern.
Having issues, 8 months pregnant have been calling to have on call physician paged. Its 630 am Ive called 4 times. Have been on hold for at least 20 mins at a time. It then gets quiet and they hang up. I CANNOT BELIEVE they are that lazy that they cant answer sooner. This is ridiculous
I have a very high risk pregnancy with a rarw bicornuate/septate uterus. Two doctors told me my best option was surrogacy. I did my own research and a beloved friens highly recommended Dr. Kassar Sr. He understood my condition right away, made a suggestion to find the right surgeon to remove my septum. Now Im 22 weeks pregnant and I give all the credir to Dr. Kassar. I went several OBs in the area, Upland and Fontana only to encounter ignorance. If you have a tricky pregnancy this is the ONLY OB Id go to in the area.
Today I called and spoke with Melissa, and she literally went above and beyond trying to get me an answer. This is what great customer service is!!! I had the pleasures of having Dr. Kassar as my OB/#GYN for my 4th pregnancy and here I am back with my final and happy as ever with my care here. Thank you for everything!!
Doctors are good, but they use 3rd party services for genetic testing (progeneityy) without informing the charges, you will get an OUTRAGEOUS bills after 6 months+, no-one will help you. Since they will share your signed copy financial responsibility they will rip you. BEWARE before signing any financial responsibility, add your own conditions not use 3rd party without informing in advance. do your research on genetic testing. HOPE this helps, give a thumbs up.
I love the Drs. They are amazing, unfortunately you deal with the MAs a lot and they are not. Today I called to make an appointment and they wouldnt make it without my auth number. I didnt have it on hand but she wouldnt budge even though they were the ones that requested the auth so they in fact have access to the portal. Ive been calling for weeks and this is the first time Ive gotten thru so its pretty irritating.
Dr.Kassar is amazing. Their front desk staff is disrespectful and lazy. They don’t answer their phones. They put you on hold for more than 30 minutes and most of the time they end up hanging up. Very bad service. It’s sucks that a great doctor has a terrible team running his office.
Ok so.i have been to different dr in my 40 years on this earth if i could do less then 1 star i would. The girls in the front had very personal conversations were the whole waiting room could hear about that girls man who is all over town i had a 9am apt i was not seen till past 1030am almost 11am i had a basic consultation. The dr was short and all questions i asked were dismissed.... new employees and dr needed here.
Was sent by PCP, Dr Bouz is so helpful answers all questions, schedule surgery, FU visit, and called me back personally when I had any concerns... He is so so helpful I recommend him and the office, His staff is very nice helpful and always friendly, you can get labs done there no waiting, and ultrasound is done downstairs. You can get in for appt, see Dr, have labs done and be out within one hour....
Im on my second round with this place. I have Dr. Motts, for a second time. And to be honest I really like this place! Motts is open minded and listens to what you have to say. Was very welcoming to my family when I had my son, and always makes me feel comfortable and assures me that I have a healthy pregnancy when I have doubts, or worries on my mind.
Careful dealing OBGYN, they may refer you to third party provider/lab, may come up with a huge bill without your knowledge, and then this clinic do not cooperate/help resolve the issues at all. they dont disclose anything upfront, and dont cooperate once third party charges you.
This is my 4th pregnancy and i also went here on my 3rd pregnancy. I had a good experience that s why i came back to this place. Plus I found out they have a new female OB. Theres only a few female OBs in the area so Im glad i found her.
The senior Dr Kassar is one of the best doctors he is very nice and out of the kindness of his heart takes time to answers all my questions and makes me feel safe and welcomed in his office I feel very comfortable and secure the nurses and staff are great
All good doctors, easy to make same day appointments, love how they have a lab so you can do your blood work right after your appointment. Dr bouz and Alvarez are my favorite!
Avoid if you have more than one insurance company. Billing is a nightmare to deal with. Unprofessional, rude, nasty, and lacking of all manners. Literally yelled at me for her lack of comprehension.
Love the staff, Judy and Sabrina are the best recommended highly to all my friends
I didn t like how doctor Steven Alvarez, treated me, also I wouldve prefer a woman.. there was no option
I called to try to make an apt as a new patient and the lady in the office who answered was very rude and gave attitude
Love the Drs and most of the staff. Changes need to be made in the front desk area
I had to call to verify some information and spoke to Sharon she was so helpful and so kind she is Awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It’s Okay.
