I had thought this clinic was nice up until this last visit. During my last visit, all the issues I was seeking help for-as I have for years-were swept under the rug with the age old “Just lose weight, try eating some veggies.” Dr. Deidra Wetsby was my gynecologist I had consulted with. I had informed her of my history with pcos, and how it has resulted in weight gain over the last few years. I have been diagnosed with this since I was young. Whether I have been 105 ibs or my current weight of 260, my pcos and issues have existed. I try to eat healthy and walk/exercise almost daily. I PRIMARILY consume veggies, though I may not look it. I am obese, of course. However, I genuinely did not start gaining weight until I was put on Birth control. Even before, I had to work out heavily to maintain a decent BMI. This grew to the point that I would run 6-10 miles daily and lift multiple times a day along with a good diet.Still, with all of this being expressed, I was told: “You have a fatty liver. Try losing weight. I looked at your CT and charts you know, it’s just fat. You know, studies show if you lose 10% of your body weight, it’ll cure your pcos. It’ll even fix your liver. Try eating veggies. No sugars, carbs, proteins. Eat veggies and lose weight.”Guess what all these pictures have in common? I had pcos in all of them. I also had pcos when I was lighter than these photos. I did not have massive weight gain and then pcos. I had pcos for YEARS then massive weight gain. In regards to my liver, had you actually checked, my enzymes have consistently been fine for my liver at my current weight and with pcos UP until something very important I told you about that happened at the same time this ct and lab was done-Epstein Barr virus. My liver wasn’t the only thing affected. I have hepatosplenomegaly that only started the exact same time my EBV and MONO started. Aka more than just my liver has issues, and more than just my liver enzymes went out of whack from EBV. It was even notated that these are a result of said issue, and I am seeing another doctor tomorrow about this because these results and symptoms have persisted since I caught it. Which, you knew.Yet, my issues were still dismissed and I was informed about dieting a bit condescendingly. These assumptions are why people don’t get properly treated. Though I don’t like posting my medical records openly, I would like to put proof to substantiate my argument so that others can evaluate whether or not this place would be best for them.
Worst experience Ive ever had with a doctor/group in my life thus far. Mammogram gone terribly wrong. The nurse was so rude, made a scary experience even worse. The staff made errors on billing, 6 weeks later Im still having to deal with insurance due to their mistakes. Its almost comedy its so bad. Save yourself the time, energy, and frustration.
Dr. Berzinskas recently helped deliver my first child and was my physician throughout pregnancy. She is quick and efficient but also always had time for me and my husband when we had a long list of questions at some of the appointments. She was willing to discuss various options with me to help me think through how I wanted delivery to go and it was great to have her in the delivery room once we were ready to push. She was encouraging and worked well with the nurses and my doula that were already helping me. I definitely plan to see Dr. B again for my next pregnancy. Also, her office is great. It’s right across from the hospital and is clean, and the staff are super nice and efficient and run the office well. I also appreciate that they use the Baylor app so I can send messages, see my appointments, and view test results and visit summaries. It makes managing all the appointments, of which there are many late in pregnancy, really helpful.
I was recently seen by this doctor’s office for my well woman’s visit and to talk about potentially inserting an IUD. I got the mirena inserted a few weeks ago. I had HORRIBLE pain and cramping to the point I was almost passing out. I informed my OB of this and they told me it was “NORMAL” and said to take 600-800mg of ibuprofen. I KNEW something was wrong so I went to the ER. I was told I have a 6CM bleeding cyst on my right ovary. I also passed 2 LARGE 3 inch clots. I was once AGAIN told this was “normal” I continued to have AWFUL pain with dizzy spells and again was told this was “Normal” along with foul smelling yellow discharge and itching. I found a planned parenthood where I went to be seen, planned parenthood removed the IUD and told me I had a cervical and uterine infection. I will NEVER return to this OB again and caution EVERY UTERINE HAVING PERSON to never go to this office in the future. My care was HORRIBLE. My symptoms were ignored, my concerns were not heard and I was under appreciated. Absolute Negligence and poor care. I can see why EVERY SINGLE review is negative for this place.
I have been a patient of Dr, Berzinskas for at least 15 years. I see her once a year and she refills my RX and writes an RX for mammograms. Today, after the office had closed, I received a message that my appointment on Tuesday May 28 was cancelled because Dr. B. Doesn’t see patients over 65! I had this appointment for a year now! She saw me last year when I was 65, how rude and unprofessional is this? I’ve left Dr. B. a message and I will be calling the corporate office on Tuesday. Signed, an upset former BSW Corporate Legal Specialist.
I had my first appointment here today and it was by far the best well woman I have had. The woman working the front desk (I am so sorry I did not catch her name) was incredibly kind and made the waiting area very homey. The nurse that started the appointment was very polite as well. Dr. Bruce made me feel at ease through the whole process, listened to my concerns, and helped me pick the best options based on my needs. Overall it was a great experience from start to finish, and I would highly recommend this team!
Have a hysterectomy and come out having to catheter and they take no responsibility. I was scared for my life and they walk away as if nothing happened! Please do not go there unless you want to loose your ability to use your bladder! Dr. Heather Bruce sewed my bladder to my vagina. Yes, I have pictures! It caused a fistula and permanent damage to my bladder. She could care less. It has cost me thousands and thousands of dollars for her negligence. My entire life savings! Riverside ob Gyn is horrible!
Probably the worst experience I have ever had and I didn’t even step foot in the office. I booked a new patient appointment online, got a confirmation email and everything only to receive a call on Monday morning that my insurance information needed to be verified in order to reschedule my appointment. I called back, 5 minutes later only to continuously get the voicemail that the office was closed. This happened within the time frame of 8:00-8:22 AM. I then call back at 9:30 and was on wait for a few minutes before I decided to hang up. Finally late this afternoon I get in touch with the front desk , whom seemingly was less than thrilled to answer the phone. She asked for my insurance information, told me she’d verify and then call back to put me back on the schedule. On the return phone call she had admitted that when confirming my insurance she didn’t even take the time to say the proper name and she could not fit me in in my original appointment time. I have never in my life had a facility be so rude and unhelpful. I don’t know any company that would just cancel an appointment without talking to the patient first. It looks like I dodged a bullet though, as it seems Dr. Berzinskas has some of the worst reviews of any obgyn in the entire dfw area. Save yourself time and do not even attempt to book here.
They suck. Don’t recommend. Careless and make mistakes that will have you stressing / worried. When it’s not the case they just don’t know what they’re doing.
I would never return to this office. The only thing I could appreciate was front and back office staff. Dr. B was rude and I wouldn’t recommend her for my worst enemy. I wouldn’t see her again if my life depended on it. It was the worse experience for me. My anxiety was already high some of my struggles and she made that worse.
To clarify, this is only a review based on the front desk lady. The providers and rest of the staff is incredible.I have been a patient for about a year now and each time I come in, the front desk lady (short, robust, Hispanic with dark brown hair) is very rude. She wont return a good morning, good afternoon or a simple Hi, how are you?. If you are not wearing a facemask, she will throw one on the counter for you, not even bothering to hand it to you like a normal human being. As patients, we have the right to await our EOBs to be able to pay the correct amounts, but she says in this office there is no such thing. Instead of asking something like Please take your temperature on the wall, she asks demandingly Whats was it? while starring to the thermometer on the wall. She makes me and my daughter feel unwanted there. Thankfully, as soon as we see the other people, we stay because the actually make us feel welcomed and valued. Its common sense to treat your patients as you would want your loved ones to be treated. I know because I have been a patient care coordinator before. You are the first face the patients see and if you have that nasty look on your face like you hate your job, then why are you even there? Management, please coach her. Im not asking to fire this lady, just simply coach her to be better. There is a lot of room for improvement with her. Thank Deidra Westby and the rest of the staff, as is it due to them, that we continue to go here. Otherwise, we would seek treatment elsewhere.
O my. Where do I start from? Dr Berzinskas is definitely the worst. During my sonograms with her she went so fast and did not even care to let me see the baby, after I had my baby I was literally down, guess I had postpartum depression but as a new mom had no idea what was going on with me...I reach out to the Drs office and requested some more time off to seek proper care and she said am not going to fill out an excuse from work to have them pay you and u not work years later I discovered I had postpartum depression that lasted 2 good yrs thanks to the doctor!!! I called bsw to report the doctor and till date I did not get a single response from them. I would never ever recommend her. She was nasty throughout my pregnancy considering that fact I had a high risk pregnancy.
Ive been seeing Dr. Elmazi for my pregnancy, and am very happy with the care. At every appointment she is very thorough and asks me what questions I have before leaving. She is always very professional and warm, and as a first-time-mom it was a huge relief when she saw me same-day after a little scare. Whenever I have had to call the office, they are pretty fast at getting back with me, and the nurse and office staff have been great. Im so glad that we found her!
I was a patient with you all for a few years until 1 week ago. I’m 5 months pregnant and my experience with the grapevine location with Dr. Berzinskas has been hell from the start, she’s not very caring for new mothers, she doesn’t care about the pain I was having didn’t provide any suggestions, she told my fiancé that he didn’t need to come to my next visit!? I read that She’s against people having babies that are not married, which is why she probably treated me so poorly, I wish I would’ve done my researched on her before accepting her as my care doctor, there was never a connection with her, I’m not sure why she’s even in this field. The past two days I’ve been dealing with tooth pain due to my wisdom tooth and the dentist office need some type of documentation to provide the necessary procedure for X-rays and etc, when I contacted Baylor Scott yesterday no one would help, later that day I was informed that the doctor left early, I called again today and spoke with Katherine the Manager for the obyn office and she stated that she would work on getting the letter sent to my portal, it’s been 2 hours! I called back only to hear that Dr. Berzinskas will not approve the X-ray because I transferred from the hospital, my doctor appointment with my new doctor isn’t until next week, by law Baylor Scott is still responsible for my care for 30 days until I see my new doctor, I’m still in pain and will go the extra mile to report the facility for not caring for their patients. If I have to take it to social media I will do so!! @bswhealth @bswhealth
I had a horrible experience here. The nursing assistants are very sweet and the front office workers are fine but i do not recommend anyone seeing NP Deidra, especially if you are a teenager, or plus sized. Deidra is very condescending and disregarded any concerns i had about the symptoms I was experiencing and overall made me feel very unwelcomed and unheard.
First of all, the lady I spoke with on the phone yesterday to schedule an appointment was extremely rude! (I think her name was Latoya but I honestly cannot remember) She took her sweet time and didn’t ask me any of my information- something I think you’d need to schedule an appointment somewhere for the first time?? I was already in the BSW network apparently and my information came up with my phone number?? Which is fine, but what if that information was not mine? When I asked the girl if she needed my name to schedule the appointment she was trying to rush off the phone and acted mad that I even inquired about needing my info! She sharply responded “Well you can confirm your name and birthday if you’d like.” So I did. That was that, I just wanted to be seen by the dr. Well I had to reschedule my appointment unfortunately, and you’d think I was trying to get scheduled for some complicated procedure the way they were acting!! First, it took about 10 mins to have my call answered. Then, after I explained my situation, there was just a bunch of silence all I can hear is typing. Then was put on hold for a while… Look I get it, I’m not the only patient there and they must be busy. But when she came back on the phone, it was nothing but silence again. No conversation on what was being done to reschedule me, no options on other appointments, just silence and lots of typing….. then AGAIN was put on hold for a second time! I am a very patient person, but this was just ridiculous. By the time she came back on the phone I had been on this call for a total of 24 minutes, STILL WITH NO ANSWERS OPTIONS OR RESCHEDULE. I politely said nvm I will go somewhere else. I am not understanding what was so hard about that, but after reading some of these other reviews I am glad I didn’t waste my time going here.
NP deidra is amazing! She’s the best obgyn I’ve ever encountered! She took her time to listen to my concerns and not only my concerns but also my husband concerns! She’s gives the best advice and she really know what to say to make you feel a lot better! She really gave us hope! If you’re looking for a wonderful obgyn don’t look any further!
Horrible experience with this ob, my appointments were bare minimum, im talking 10 mins, in and out just after checking my vitals and hearing babys heartbeat, not to mention extremely overpriced. I was shocked by the amount they asked me to pay and apparently even my ob didnt like this facility as she left very early in my pregnancy, very glad with my decision to switch to a midwife. Once switched, my midwife attempted to contact them many many times to tranfer my info over and she never heard back from them till AFTER my baby was born already. She had to redo all the tests that had already been done as they are apparently incompetent when it comes to answering phone calls and emails.
Dr. Emmet is fantastic! She fully advocated for me and was incredible through my delivery of my son. Would recommend her to any women.
Horrible customer service and staff representatives are very rude. Didn’t get scheduled for an appointment because he hung up the phone in my face. Asking me why I waited until now to see a doctor and if I was sure of pregnancy. Recommended that I take another pregnancy test prior to being able to be seen at office by NP. I attempted to call back thinking it was an accident but no luck for a whole hour! Once I finally got a answer the staff stated that all the providers had just left and it was only 4:15pm. This is by far the worst customer service and experience I’ve ever had.
Dr. Berzinskas has been my OBGYN since I was 16. Shes helped me through becoming a woman and the weirdness that comes with that, through pregnancy loss, becoming a mom, and helping me with the decision of closing the mommy factory when I was ready to. She delivered all three of my boys and she has been absolutely amazing.
I went to Baylor Scott for a general checkup (I couldnt find the general Dr.s office on Maps, I saw Dr. Amber). It was one of the best Dr.s visits I have ever had. I was immediately taken in, and waited almost no time to be seen. The staff were all very friendly, and the nurse was a rockstar at his job (I had bloodwork done, it was painless!). The Doctor herself was great.
I have had AWUFL experiences with the Baylor Scott & White OB-GYN group here. 1.) I make an appointment, and I show up to the doctor for my wellness exam, and it turns out that because I was not referred to that doctor by my PCP, they will not let me see her...so I have to make an appointment with some random OB-GYN. 2.) I make the appt. in the same building, and whenever I do, the day BEFORE they cancel on me saying that they double booked, and that I have to wait A MONTH AND A HALF before I can go to the OB/GYN for my wellness exam because of their schedule screw up...3.) I finally show up to my appointment after 3 months of trying to get my damn wellness exam, and the nurse was super kind. She is the ONLY reason why there is 1 star on here, and she deserves 10. That was my only positive experience.4.) Once I met my OB/GYN, she was discussing with me about the HPV vaccine, which I told her I am not interested in for personal reasons, and she kept egging it on, and I felt like she was not respecting my personal preferences...THEN whenever I told her that I wanted to do my future birth, once we finally have kids, that I was interested in doing it at a birthing center, and I just felt like she was judging me on MY decision! I would have thought that as a woman, she would understand what I was coming from.Anyway, that experience left me completely humiliated that I will never book my OB/GYN with Baylor EVER again! If I have some sort of medical emergency, I will drive to another hospital that is not in this system here in Grapevine to ensure that I am not giving my money to them.
Go here if you want the worst most frustrating experience. This office commits flagrant HIPAA violations, refused to release to me my own test results, refused to schedule a time for the doctor to call me. Their office staff is a nightmare and they don’t care about HIPAA laws, which literally state they cannot withhold my test results from me. And yet they do and they are unbelievably rude. Do not go here also if you have endometriosis, they won’t do anything to help you. The worst
Dr. Elmazi is a diamond in the rough. She has treated me and cared for me like no other doctor in my whole life has. She genuinely cares. She remembers who you are, what you have and going on, and how you feel about different things. I hope every woman has a doctor as extraordinary as she is. If you don’t, you need to make the switch. I will never see another OB as long as Dr. Elmazi is practicing.
Kaymon is really sweet, super accommodating to my wife having a fear of getting blood drawn etc. Seriously the sweetest person.
She is such a beautiful human being. She took very good care of me and helped me deliver my baby girl. She takes time to listen to your problem very carefully. I’m so happy that I found her.
The care was good no complaints about that but long waiting times. I wish they understood that patients have other jobs to attend as well and their time is also valuable.
I have had nothing but a great experience with Dr. Bruce and her staff. They have all made me feel comfortable and at ease through out my pregnancy.
Incompetent.Office workers can’t figure out how to send an email for over a month now. Insurance can’t process anything until they get needed information. It’s just silly.
So sad that I had to hold for over 20 minutes and still got no one on the line. I will give it one more try if not then I guess it will be time to find another doctor.
Let’s just say I don’t go here anymore
Extremely unprofessional office staff. A simple referral case for a test outside not being handled properly. And unable to contact them on tel for past 1 hour.
I’ve been a patient at this location for 3 years now and they have been amazing. I absolutely love Dr. Bruce and her staff.
Dr.. Elmazi and her staff have treated me very well ,very professional, and Dr. Elmazi is very thorough and caring and takes her time listening not like other doctors.
Irresponsible and rude.
