If I could leave zero stars I would! My experience started when I met the doctor in emergency at Jupiter Medical Center. I was about to go in for surgery and he was openly demeaning and talking down to The nursing staff. It was a very uncomfortable experience for myself and then nursing staff after surgery. I was given instructions as far as follow-up while I was still coming out of anesthesia. Two days later, I tried calling his office to get clarification.. My phone call was not returned. Later that afternoon I finally got through to the medical assistant who was also equally as nasty. She explained to me that she had just gotten in to work and would get back to me. I tried explaining to her what I needed to know and she cut me off to tell me once again that she hadn’t gotten into the chart yet. It’s not what you say how you say it. She never returned the call or called me back. Here I am now three days postop and still have no idea what my follow up instructions are. Do yourself a favor… Stay away!
Dr. Besharat claims to be open to listening to the patients needs, however, this is only the case if they completely align with his direction. When it comes to the prostate and PSA monitoring there are many tests these days that provide direction as to whether you have a high risk for cancer and need to take a biopsy or MRI. In my case the test (an established urine diagnostic test) indicated there was a 90% chance that I did not have cancer or need an MRI or biopsy. I had asked to take a 2nd test (another established diagnostic test) and was told this would happen in my next appointment. However, when I showed up to the next appointment, I was told I was no longer a patient as I had been dropped. I had not received any letter, text message or call about this (in fact, I had received a text confirming my appointment the day before) and the doctor was unwilling to discuss it at the office. This simply indicates that lack of support this doctor has for his patients.
Dr. Basharat didnt write a prescription he was supposed to, I called back left a message with his staff, 3 days later received a call back stating Dr. is not available for the next 4 days.Dr. called back 4 days later informing me that I was unreasable to request he be contacted while to fill a prescription he forgot in the first place and accused me of using language towards his staff. What he doesnt know is when I spoke with his staff on speaker phone, 2 family member were listening in. The folks at the desk are clueless and so is Dr. Basharat. They make up lies to cover their incompetense. Stay away is all I can say.
My husband had an emergency situation and we called and left numerous messages and not one single call was returned. He ended up in the hospital having emergency surgery. Thank god we got away from the claws of Besharat first. Horrible staff reflects horrible Doctor. Run from this one!
After waiting 1 year to see Dr Besharat I had a confirmed appt at 9.30 am this morning, I showed up at the office at 9.10 am. It was raining hard outside and I had a coup of empty coffee in my hands, I respectfully asked the lady behind the counter who seems to be the office Manager if they could dispose of the small garbage since is not a garbage recipient outside, and she answered No there is one outside look for I refuse since was raining and I said Ok I will have to dispose of outside in the ground, immediately she throw me out of the office and ordered to call the police, I walked out in disgust and I can believe whats going on, I called to be able to speak with the Dr but I was told by the operator, that I wasnt welcome there and I need to get another Doctor. I respectfully request that your office to send me all my records so I can have another Urologist assist me. Have a nice day and Merry Christmas1/6/24 UPDATE - IN RESPONSE :No cops were called, it was threatened to me by the rude young office manager who you want to defend. Check the cameras, why you so afraid to do that and jump to conclusions about what happened. The cops were not called, I left after being treated like garbage. The fact that you try to cover up for your YOUNG office manager also says a lot to me, and i understand. Please send my records to my new doctor who has already requested TWICE from you.
The absolute worst medical experience I’ve ever had in my life. Dr. Kaveh Besharat deserves ZERO stars for the act he pulled on me today in the exam room. The most unprofessional doctor I’ll never visit again. I will be filing a complaint with my insurance provider. I do not recommend Dr. Kaveh Besharat to anyone who is interested in quality health care.
I went to Dr Besharat for testosterone replacement that he advertised , He knew less than me about replacement , while under his care he billed me twice for over $400.00 that Medicare didnt pay .Final straw was Gardens Hospital did a Ultra Guided Biopsy for Prostate cancer. While under he had the technicians puncture my prostate additional unauthorized 12 times . I only agreed to the procedure because the guided punctures was to be at just 1 quadrant of the prostate , I peed blood for 2 weeks
Dr. Besharat performed a surgical procedure on me at a surgical facility in Palm Beach Gardens. Subsequently I developed a urinary tract infection. My GP prescribed a urine test which came back indicating a urinary tract infection. My GP told me that this type of bacteria is encountered almost exclusively in hospital settings. He prescribed an antibiotic for me. I called Besharets office the next morning and asked to speak to him. The assistant told me that he couldnt be reached, but I should send a copy of the lab report, which I did. Having heard nothing from him that day and most of the next, I called again that afternoon . This time, instead of going to his paramedic I spoke to one of his office people. I told her that I was very disturbed about the fact that I had an infection and the doctor could not be bothered to return my call for more than a day and a half.. She said that she would give him the message. It is now four days since my first call and I have heard nothing from him or his office. I find this to be a gross dereliction of his duty to provide proper care to his patients as well as follow up care as required. It is inexcusable for a doctor to treat a patient this way.
Wait times are absolutely horrible. As of right now, I am waiting here for over an hour with my mom to be seen. Clueless folks at reception says that they have no idea when will we be seen.Despite in network of my insurance, they charged me full visit fee.
ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE STAFF. My appointment was at 10 and so we showed up at 9:30 AM for paperwork and all. After waiting for over ONE & HALF Hours, we are still refused to be seen. While others who came after us were allowed in. When I tried talking to Laura at reception, I could feel arrogance from her. I decided to leave without being seen after that.My Advice: Pay attention to other reviews too here, they are one star for a reason.
Horrible The office staff is not nice almost as if they are bothered by your presents the walls are thin and I heard all of six other patients medical issues. And what the nurses said about them to the Doctor not nice place .I called weeks prior and ask a few questions so I didn’t waste my time or the doctors. I brought all my medical records showing my testosterone at 327 in six months I was 1051 with NovaGenix made me healthy again .Pre-testosterone Post-testosteroneCholesterol 324 116Hdl 65 45Triglycerides 287 85Ldl. 143 54HGBA1C 6.3 5.0Dr Keveh Basharat Md didnt want to hear or read my medical records that he asked for my wanted to drag me along with his elderly patient group and milk my insurance companyI am fully insured by Florida blue and could not afford the $200 a months that NovaGenix charges well worth it the once a week shot saved my life and I cant get a MD to prescribed it that takes insurance. medical doctors dont care whats good for you just $$$$$ didnt care what I had to say.My opinion is that Doctor Keveh Besharat Is Totally self-involved and is working in a field the fits him perfectly. This is my opinion and the truth!Brian OBrien
I’m so sorry for the 5 star review , this Doctor misdiagnosed me , he told me I had cancer and I didn’t , that was 6 years ago. I feel awful for how many people read this false review of a Doctor that didn’t know the difference between a cyst and renal cell carcinoma. Please find another physician.
I had four stones...one 5mm; he detected one small stone. The 5mm was lodged in the ureter. An experienced urologist in Georgia saw it immediately, and rubbed his eyes in disbelief.
Very good doctor. Has a good sense of humor and knows his stuff. Highly recommend
