For my first birth experience Kama walked me through creating a birth plan, what to expect etc. During labor she provided the most soothing yet strong support by holding space, giving encouragement, and sharing her strength when I craved it most. During contractions what helped me most was relieving sacral pressure, she knew just what to do. She stood behind me and held me up under my arms hers tucked beneath and swayed back and forth with me. She aloud me to take lead switching through positions listening to my body, offering honey sticks for energy. Most of all she helped me get persistent and overwhelming medical staff to listen to my desires and that of my birth plan. With my permission she captured images of the most life changing day of my existence that I will forever cherish. Kama is someone who makes you feel safe and supported in her presence at all times. During postpartum she visited and introduced belly binding which I account for my speedy recovery. Her vast knowledge and wisdom of birth and the body is apparent and I would recommend her services to anyone.
My doula was Erica Dixon, I got her Because as a first time mom I didn’t feel like I was getting the best advice and help with my midwife so she came along within my last few months and I loveeeeeeeee her. I ended up going into labor at 2am didnt go in until 3 and she was up there by 4-4:30 My baby is here and i still keep in contact with her🥹 She definitely was our mediator in the delivery room and was a BIG help during delivery 🥹 and she got me and my family food pregnant and while in delivery and anyone who gets me food gets a big 100% in my books😂😂 and even tho i was kinda mean to her she wasn’t mean or snotty back she was so calm and patient and understanding. She was there for not only me but My Mom, The father of my child and also anyone else who i welcomed as my own she did also. I would definitely recommend her she’s honestly a family friend now😂💙 That’s all Folks!! (Ps...She matched us at the babyshower🥰)
