Planned Parenthood - Lakewood Health Center

They are slow and dont care about their patients. Just lolligagging and taking their time while they conversate about nothing. It took like 5 minutes for someone to LOG IN TO THEIR COMPUTER. Dancing in the waiting area rather than checking us all in. Their are 4 people in the line their talking about their weekend. As Im writing this she is STILL LOGGING IN.

I’ve been going to Planned parenthood my entire life. I love them! They do great work for how many women the help out! I don’t know what my life would be like without them♥️♥️♥️♥️💯

I went in for a vasectomy council about a month ago and to me from everyone and the front desk to the nurses and the doctor, were all super nice and supportive over this decision and explained everything into detail of all the questions I had to ask to put my mind at ease. They honestly made me excited about it, plus also having 4 kids and Im done lol wait time was like 10 minutes at most but I did go like around the early noon hours on a Thursday with an appointment. Im sorry to all those that had a rough experience that honestly had me worried about going here in the first place. But after my experience, it was all good! Will update my review once the procedure is done!

Employees werent awful but they definitely could use a lot more tact. the two women at the desk talked about my info to eachother like I wasnt standing right in front of them.there was a section on the form they had me fill out asking my pronouns, but they ignored what I had filled in and used the wrong pronouns for me.its not the end of the world if someone doesnt use my correct pronouns, I just think its dumb to have that on the form only for them to not even check it. seems pointless.

Worst customer service / horrible staff!Ladies don’t waste your time in this planned parenthood location. FYI, they will prioritized walk ins than having an appointment. Can I rate negative instead 😄✌🏾

I went for a uti, I had the right insurance yet they told me I had to go somewhere else when it wasn’t packed either, their website says they offer the service I was looking for yet they don’t take you in, another planned parenthood location i went to took me in the same day, this location was a waste of time and lacked welcomeness.

This places customer service is terrible. My partner and I had to wait over 3 plus hours for a appointment that was originally supposed to be a walk-in. I advise anybody in the future to no step foot inside this establishment. There was other people inside there waiting much longer than we did in much worse shape than us waiting to get service. There was literally 1 girl in the fetal position dying in the corner needing help. The front desk ladies couldve at least let the women know they need 911 care. Of course the front desk didnt care. They just gave her the run around. So unprofessional. They didnt have any remorse for any of us patients. Utterly disgusting behavior. Im appalled.

Love Planned P! All the workers are so kind and patient. Even when they’re busy, they are extremely kind and compassionate.

My best advice is to schedule super early because the wait time after you check in can go anywhere between 20min-1hr 30min.Other than that it’s straight forward, the doctors are nice and informative. The only grueling thing is the wait time, so if you have work or have something to do, please please please consider scheduling early morning (or try the Long Beach location cause they’re pretty fast).I’ve been coming here for years and I’ve always been helped accordingly.

The girls at the front desk where really rude and not helpful at all. I went in for an emergency pill and they where very judgy and giving weird looks, they kept pointing out my age and I’m 17 I get that it’s a little young but aren’t they supposed to make you feel comfortable? But at least the doctors where very nice and made me feel comfortable! Nurses in the back as well. Front desk girls where not it.

SO BAD. Had a 2:45 appointment, didnt hear anything so at 3:30 I go to ask how long it will take because I have to be at work by 5- She said at least another hour because they were running behind. That is so ridiculous, ive never at any place had to wait over an hour yet alone two for something I had an appointment for. Complete waste of time and the least they couldve done was warn me when I checked in that it would be an extremely long wait. I went to the Long Beach one a few weeks ago and had a good experience there which is where I will be going. Definitely dont go here unless you have time to waste.

The front desk nurses are unwelcoming, and they always seem too busy too to be concerned about you and you’re worries. I’ve be to the OC and San Bernardino locations and feel more at ease and able to discuss any real worries or situation,… I personally feel like you should be able to come and complete an appointment without requirements or justification,

I made an appointment after waiting 10+ minutes they explain it will be an additional 40-45 minute wait due to needing to catch up. It’s birth control, shouldn’t be that long of a wait for a simple shot. What’s the point in an appointment if you don’t get in at that time. Don’t make an appointment before work here if you and if you do make it at least 2 hours in advanced.

Came for a refill and it took over an hour. People that came in after me were leaving before me. I told the lady up front and she told me i was next but 2 or 3 people got called before me. Those people were not there when I arrived. They were all walk-in just like me. Make an appointment. Their walk-in system is unorganized!

Walkins its usually a 2 hour wait but they always have tv on so its not bad. One hour til they call you and then the second hour is when youre in and out of the office with the nurse. But I usually go for one reason. Im sure the wait times depends on time of day and reason. But the workers are always nice women, one guy made me feel judged but I havent seen him there in years.

I been to this location twice and i had no problem at all. They took me in quick i did have an appointment so i suggest you get one if you plan on going. The staffs were so nice and helpful no attitudes, no judgment!!

Friendly and helpful staff! I’ve visited this location twice for uti medication and emergency contraceptives. Taken no longer than an hour for both visits.

Made an appointment at 11:05 multiple women who came in AFTER got called in before me . It’s been TWO hours my dude and still haven’t been called. Literally the worse location . 0/10 do not recommend

I love it! Its like I walked in and next thing you know I walked out! Only cause I made an appointment. So everyone just make an appointment and be there 20min before so they can take you in and out. Friendly community.

I ended up having to pay out of pocket, the office visit alone was close to $350If your planning of paying cash dont risk it.

I went in, they were rude and kept talking. I got off work so I was a bit dirty, and I kept getting stared. Like girl you’re there to serve anyone and be polite lol. If you don’t like your job, that’s not anyone’s problem.

GO TO ANOTHER LOCATION!Walk-in at 8am, after waiting half an hour they informed me that they did not have a clinician coming in until 9am so it would be better to wait next door, no worries. I was called at 9:15am and the nurse had me do the normal pregnancy test procedures and then meet in a room, I thought to go over counseling. He asked me, Why did I come in? And told me I needed to go to the doctor. I asked him I was concerned about resources as my insurance is still pending and he cut me off and explained the Medi-Cal was pushed through. Again, did not let me finish to explain that is not the last step of getting insurance, I have Kaiser so my wait time is longer than other Medi-Cal applicants. He said they only do reproductive services, not prenatal care. I would like to point out on the website it says that they do! After a minute of awkward silence, I asked if that was all then as he was rushing. He said no, there is a lot of paperwork, all of this for a simple pregnancy test. And went on to say that two more times. I then became a little upset because, well Im pregnant and emotional. Then he rushed through the information (sounding like the commercial terms & conditions) and said I assume you are seeing this pregnancy to completion. As a medical worker, you may NOT assume anything. Your services are to COUNSEL women on their reproductive concerns. Not be an stereotypically bitter nurse or nurse assistant. This sent me over the edge as I did need counseling this pregnancy, because we had considered abortion. I basically ran out of there without seeing the nurse practitioner, balling the way home. Thank you Planned Parenthood of Lakewood for a truly traumatizing experience.

For the small facility that they are working with. The staff here make it happen. They get you in and out as fast as possible with or without an appointment. Friendly, happy professional faces.

The staff here are super friendly and helpful. They made me feel safe, comfortable, and answered all my questions. I trust them to take care of me.

The best staff. Gave me information about my prescriptions that my other doctors didn’t even tell me that affected the efficacy of my birth control. They got me on a new prescription

My appointment was at 1:30 it’s now 3:05 and I still haven’t been seen. They have you make an appointment just to tell you it’ll be a 45+ minute wait. I’ve always said what’s the point of an appointment? The workers are never too busy they don’t do anything but talk.

Waited over an hour with an appointment, the staff were gossiping most of the time. When I asked how much longer, their excuse was that there was “too much work”

Horrible experience they take long front staff not friendly. I don’t recommend this place at all!!! I felt very discriminated as well!!

Made an appointment at 2 and it’s now 5 and still haven’t been seen . ???? What the point on making an appointment when it’s still going to take 3+ hours to be seen & for a follow up that’s all I came for and i ended up waiting that long .

I absolutely love this place. I been to other PP and the wait time is horrible. But this Lakewood PP is quick, fast and efficient.

Waited for 2 hrs and 30 mins just to get my refill on my depo shot. AND I HAD AN APPOINTMENT! HORRIBLE!!!!

Terrible!! Going through a crisis right now with my girlfriend and they refused to sell her plan B because shes 16. I thought thats what planned parenthood is for...

I didnt like it because it took them a while to see the person. I had my appointment at 8:55 and they didnt show me until 10:30, very bad wait.

Today I had an appointment and everything was fast and excellent service, all the girls are friendly and make you feel good.
