My appointment with Dr. Moawad was great. He is very kind and I feel confident in his diagnosis and expertise. He was able to review my MRI and determine what my issues were after other doctors have failed to see what was going on. I feel I made the right choice after extensive research on finding the best provider.

Treatment with Dr. Gaby is NEXT LEVEL. This was my second excision surgery and my first was a positive experience. But this is AMAZING. I am writing just hours post op and the level of mobility is unbelievable. Before going to Dr. Gaby I went to GW, MedStar, Inova and a colorectal surgeon consult. None had the ability to perform my complex surgery without a secondary team. One hospital flat out stated they did not have doctors on staff who could handle it. If you cannot afford out of network that is understandable but if you can make it work you WILL be astounded by the difference. Living with endometriosis is terrible and your quality of life slowly deteriorates. Having a specialist who can see in the charts what others cant, can recognize the disease in all forms in surgery, spare fertility (or just understand if you dont want the side effects of a hysterectomy) and understand fertility concerns and even know and name symptoms you didnt think were connected, is outstanding and life altering. Going to CEAPS is one of the best medical decisions Ive ever made and I hope other people facing endo will make the same choice.***Additionally, the team is amazing. In particular Penny. Penny is so kind and caring. When I pushed off my surgery there was no pressure and when I called urgently hoping to get back on the calendar and put an end to suffering she listened and showed real concern.***To the one star rating who suggested he may just be a business man- he has the skills to back it up. If you join Nancys Nook youll see there is a divide between surgery as the gold standard of care and gynos who give bc and lupron. CEAPS provides the gold standard of Endometriosis care.

Dr. Moawad does seem to be a knowledgeable and skilled endometriosis surgeon but I dont think Ill ever know for sure due to how horrible the office staff have been to work with.I saw him a month and a half ago and am still fighting with them over my two office bills. As much as Id like to have this surgery, I feel uncomfortable doing so due to endless games and sketchy billing policies and practices of his office/billing staff. If they cant get a simple office visit bill settled, then I cannot imagine dealing with a bill for surgery. If you have endless money and dont mind paying anything they want from you while also taking benefits from your insurance, then it may be no problem for you. But if you are like me and dont have 18k laying around or dont want to take out a loan for surgery on top of what you already pay for insurance, beware. They have been unable or unwilling to explain how they calculated the out of pocket cost and defensive/unclear when I ask any questions.Unfortunately it feels like they prey on their patients need for surgery as a way to extract as much money out of their patients (through out of pocket costs) and their insurance as possible.

Really such a weird experience and maybe the doctor is good at being a surgeon but personally just seemed like a business man pushing surgery with a lack of respect for his patients paying out of pocket to see him. Just being honest and transparent about my experience. I waited exactly an hour past my original appointment to be seen. If the doctor was running late they should have called and informed their clients he’s running an hour behind or rescheduled. To make it even worse after the doctor did my exam, i returned back to the room with the nurse only to find him taking a phone call. It’s so rude and inconsiderate of peoples time. I had to go back and wait in the waiting room. The whole experience was very weird and not worth the $450 consultation. I would never trust someone with surgery who clearly doesn’t value people’s time.

Dr Moawad is an excellent doctor, I have struggled with endometriosis for years and have been told there is no hope many times. Dr Moawad was able to accurately diagnose me in 10 minutes and also tell me there was hope and a path forward.

I am at almost 8 weeks post-op and now feel confident saying - having surgery performed by Dr. Gaby Moawad was the best decision I could have made for my health and lets be honest - my life. Dr. Gaby saved my life because before I went to see him, I was struggling for YEARS with symptoms that were progressively making it harder to do anything. Severe GI issues, losing vision and passing out from pain, and being forced to stay in bed due to crippling cramps are just some of the issues I had. I cant tell you how much work I missed, how many plans I had to cancel, how many friends and family members I missed out on seeing or celebrating with on special occasions (and otherwise). I lost my late teens and most of my 20s to this disease.I had consultations with a few other surgeons prior to seeing Dr. Gaby, and from the start it became apparent that he was the right choice. His surgical coordinator Penny helped me out with scheduling the consultation, pre-op, surgery, and post-op. She also answered the million questions I had before and after surgery on the phone and via email. She put me at ease and never made me feel as if I was taking up too much time, and was so caring during every interaction.Dr. Gaby was very thorough with his questioning at that initial consultation. He covered every body system and was able to determine the extent of disease based on my answers and my MRI scan. No other surgeon had personally looked at my scan - Dr. Gaby saw what even world-renowned surgeons had missed. I have the surgical photos and pathology report showing what was causing my symptoms - and the successful removal of ALL of the diseased tissue by Dr. Gaby.On top of that, recovery has been nothing like the pain I used to experience. Surgery is scary to most people - it was scary to me -but Dr. Gaby made me feel like I could put my trust into him and I am so happy I did. It was absolutely worth it. I am feeling so much better and will only continue to get stronger. I will forever be grateful to Dr. Gaby for giving me my life.

I’ve been to several specialists (urologists, uro-gyns, gyns) and have tried so many medications over the last 5 years and Dr. Moawad is the first doctor to confidently pinpoint my problems. I had surgery almost 3 weeks ago with Dr. Moawad and although I’m still feeling things out and still recovering, there have been night and day differences in how I’m feeling! I hope things continue to improve. He’s knowledgeable and has great bedside manner. 10/10 recommend to any woman with endometriosis or unexplained symptoms. I’ve even been able to stop my birth control! Thus far 100% satisfied.

I had the most helpful, healing, and wonderful experience and treatment here at CEAPS. After a decade of dismissive doctors, Dr. Moawad was able to immediately recognize I was suffering and within days I was in surgery getting the help I so desperately needed. He and his staff kept close tabs and contact during the recovery period. Worth the interstate travel and any amount of money.

Dr. Moawad and his incredible team went out of their way to help me resolve my concerns. The consultation with Dr. Moawad was thorough. His level of expertise for endometriosis was exceptional. I was most impressed with his whole system view of my condition. It was the first time I didn’t have to explain all of my symptoms and have them dismissed. He took the time to explain how my symptoms manifest in my body and how he would be able to excise the endometriosis. I was happy with the fast turnaround in my care. The surgical team made sure I was informed every step of the way. My recovery has been great and my symptoms resolved.

If your endometriosis research has brought you this far it is time to make the appointment. I can’t say enough positive things about Dr. Gaby Moawad and his staff. The whole experience, from pre-op to post-op, was worth the long trip from Mississippi. Five stars for Dr. Gaby!!

My life is forever changed for the better thanks to Dr. Moawad. I went from years of pain and no solutions from many doctors, to finally having my life back after laparoscopic surgery with Dr. Moawad. On top of his genius, his bedside manner makes even the most anxious patients (me) feel at ease. Id recommend Dr. Moawad over and over to anyone looking for a solution to their gynecological conundrums.

Im four months out from surgery with Dr. Gaby and I could not be happier with the results! After another Specialists EXLAP, I was told There was no endometriosis or any problems that had surgical solutions. Thankfully, they took pictures of some endo while they explored. Between the high-definition photos and patient education from the Endometriosis Summit, my husband figured we should keep pushing. I didnt really want to after being jerked around for like 8 months... But I couldnt eat right, poop right, or even function. We called CEAPS, where I should have gone originally.Dr. Gaby and his office were incredible. Penny is a miracle worker! She coordinated an MRI that was closer to my home. The first appointment was through telehealth and Dr. Gabys list of questions was a lot easier than trying to convey everything that had been going on. At our in-person appointment, Dr. Gaby read the MRI himself (which was great because it seems the radiologist sure didnt) and saw a lot of things that were missed by the first surgeon! ALL OF THIS AND SURGERY WITHIN A MONTH OF THE FIRST CALL TO CEAPS!!! I felt better immediately after waking from surgery. I havent noticed any period cramps since the surgery. My crippling IBS is cured, and I can eat fiber-rich foods! Tampons dont hurt, anymore. My period is somehow lighter! I dont bleed after working out or even after having intercourse. Im sleeping through the night, every night. I never imagined feeling this good was possible. You will not regret seeing Dr. Gaby! He is kind, skilled, and knowledgeable. You wont need to do any advocating or convincing at CEAPS. He and his team have created a safe place for endometriosis and pelvic pain patients to receive care.

During the 10 years of dealing with my pain I had been promised things before from other doctors. Dr Gaby promised the same things but it was different coming from him and he actually fulfilled his promises and more! He listened, asked all of the right questions. His staff was amazing, responsive and there for me throughout the whole process. I’m so thankful to have been treated by Dr Gaby. “I’m healed” are words I never thought I would be able to say but here I am pain free! Thank you Dr Gaby!We were concerned about the cost but I had been to so many doctors, taking so many medications, and lived with chronic pelvic pain for years. I have no more pain, zero. No more doctors visits, expensive meds, urgent care and ER. Not only are we saving money in the long run… but I have my life back and I’m pain free and that is priceless! I highly suggest getting your consultation done with doctor Gaby if you have pelvic pain!

The appointment scheduling process was easy, everyone was lovely and being able to text with questions was so convenient! Im ready to start off 2021 with new hope all thanks to Dr. Moawad and the team at CEAPS.
