I had a good experience with Diamond Institute , I saw Dr O and Yemini and both are super experienced, and the nurses were really nice as well. I had chosen pGT testing done, and my two only transfers were successful, I just delivered my second baby. They have a Goshen, NY satellite office were you go there for blood work or ultrasounds if that’s close you.
I initially sought out Dr. O for culturally sensitive care. I am extremely disappointed with how I have been treated by URA. Throughout this process, the negligence of the staff and doctors has cost me both critical time and money. I first had to pause my IVF treatment in January because the clinic neglected to inform me of my lack of immunity to chickenpox, even though they had the results of that test since last spring. This meant that I lost 2 entire months while getting the chickenpox vaccine, during which time I should have already completed an FET. On January 15th, I requested for my embryos to receive PGT-A testing. I called multiple times and sent 5 emails in February to follow up, even reminding the nurses and Dr. O that I needed the tests completed by March while they were still covered by my insurance. It is now March 4th, and the samples still havent been sent for testing! This level of unprofessionalism is unacceptable when dealing with IVF, a process that is already time-sensitive and emotionally taxing. Once the PGT-A testing is completed, I will no longer be a patient at URA.Update: I am sure by now its no surprise but none of the 3 embryos under URAs care made it through the de-thawing process. No explanation given for how they could have messed up this badly
Dr. O is amazing, She explains everything regarding her recommendations for treatment. Nurse Tammy is great as well, but other staff is horrible. Since I work for a lab my blood should be sent there, if it can’t it should have been explained beforehand and I should have been given a my human right to choose to continue with the cycle or decline based on potential lab charge. All my lab work is free because I work for a lab.
If I could give this place no stars I would. This entire office is an entire disaster. I went to this office back in 2016 and had a successful IVF procedure in 2017 and had two beautiful twins. I was supposed to be charged for storing my remaining embryos and was never charged until about a year after that I called the office and spoke to Rochelle. They somehow missed that they were not billing me. Makes me question if they even had my remaining embryos in storage. I went back in 2020 to have another transfer done. I was all prepped and ready to go and the doctor comes in and tells me non of the embryos I had made it through the thawing process. I was told then discard of the embryos because they dont keep them if they are abnormal or dont make the thawing process. I spoke to Dr. O after this happened because I was extremely upset about the situation. She told me she was going to investigate the matter. She told me she had the lab look into when my embryos were stored to see what happened, if this only happened to me or it happened to all the embryos stored that day. Turns out it was just mine, VERY VERY FISHY!! Two years later in 2022 I receive a bill for storage, in which I call Rochelle and she tells me she has to message the lab to find out what happens and she would call me back. Does she? NO!!! Until today I get a bill again in the mail stating that my account is placed into storage. Guess what I called the office again spoke to Rochelle who informed me a form was created back in August 2020 and I must complete and notarize a form to discard of my abnormal embryo. And lets not forget to include the NASTY receptionists they have. DO NOT GO HERE!! They clearly dont handle paperwork correctly whos to say they even store your remaining embryos. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!!!!!
I have no experience with this office as a patient but I will say that just from interacting with staff as a healthcare worker, they are extremely careless and rude. I called in on February 21 on behalf of a patient and had the displeasure of speaking with who I’m assuming is the nastiest, most hostile and unprofessional answering service rep that they dug up out of the gutter. I don’t understand how your job is literally to answer phones and you can’t even do that right. I’m not sure if the calls are recorded for quality, but this particular rep I spoke with needs to be retrained on call etiquette immediately. There is absolutely no reason at all to yell and hang up the phone on pharmacy staff who are calling to resolve an issue with a patient. Fertility matters are very time sensitive and because of this woman refusing to take a message and abruptly ending the call, our patient’s treatment was delayed. People like this woman are unapologetically ignorant because not enough people care to correct them. I called the office last week and have yet to receive a call back about this issue, so I assume they don’t really care and this belligerent bird will continue to answer calls and be unnecessarily hostile. I will say, if I were calling as a potential patient and she answered the phone, I would go to an entirely different clinic, because that is how much of a disgusting impression is left when people like this are the first point of contact. It makes the entire clinic appear negatively. I see other reviewers talking about the rudeness of the staff so this is clearly nothing new, or anything that they feel needs to be remedied. And if that particular rep who I spoke with, the one who yelled and said YOU CAN CALL IN THE MORNING, THEY COME AT 8” and disconnected the call- I suggest you consider looking into another career field since the slightest communication with humans makes you so irritated. Perhaps you’d be better suited to clean the bathrooms, after hours. Hope you heal from whatever is causing you to be so miserable.
I dont like them. They are slow moving. I checked in before all these people however they all were seen before me. The nurses who answer the phone is rude. Terrible customer service as well.Update: Now I found a more professional fertility provider and they are requesting my records. Diamond institute told me I have to wait 30 days however representative was so happy to tell me that the cost to release my records would be $50. Nasty unprofessional people. Steer clear of this place.
I could write a book about how great my experience at Diamond was, but I’ll try to keep it simple.I saw both doctors but my primary doctor was Dr.O. She was compassionate, caring, easy to talk to and over all a great person. When I first met her she made sure we did appropriate testing on both myself and my husband before going over a treatment plan. While I had a prior diagnosis of PCOS, we actually discovered some other underlying issues. With this information we were able to come up with a plan together that we were all comfortable with. While discussing this plan she explained to me how closely they monitor their patients and what they do to protect their patients from complications including high order multiples which are common during fertility treatments.I worked with one nurse mostly, Ann who was truly the best of the best. She called me regularly to make sure medicine was going okay and always made sure to take time out of her schedule to explain injections or medications if I needed her too. She definitely helped me feel comfortable. With one of my first ICI/IUI. I had to come in at 0700 Christmas morning for this. Every single nurse there was smiling and happy and make me feel comfortable despite them getting there so early on a holiday. After my first failed IUI we met with dr. O to discuss what to do next. My appointment was at 1pm and was supposed to be a 30 minute appointment. We talked for about 90 mins, maybe longer because I had a million questions. The entire time, she never made me feel rushed and I never saw her check the clock. My two year old was even crying and she went out of her way to chat with her. We left the appointment in shock with how compassionate dr. o was. It made me feel a lot better about moving forward. In March I had surgery and the nurses at the Milburn office were amazing as was their anesthesiologist. One nurse, Tammy really sticks out from that day. She was great. These are just a few examples. I am now pregnant with our second baby and will be returning when we are ready for our third.
I’m incredibly thankful for Dr. Onwubalili, Dr. Yemeni, Sherifa and all the staff at Diamond. I have been a client of theirs for many, many years and have built & am expanding my family thanks to the care I received. I can’t thank them enough for everything they’ve done.
Ladies DO NOT go here. Every single person I encountered here was beyond unprofessional and cold. The receptionists are clearly not properly trained and one of the nurses mentioned that they have had many complaints about them. How this place is still in business is shocking and truly worrying. Save yourself the headache and do your research for a place that actually cares about their patients and who also know what their doing.
Great place compared to some stories from friends about other like facilities. All of the Doctors are awesome and I feel like the staff is family. With such an important step I took it upon myself to find out about the insurance from the company. There was no need to do that because Rochelle explained everything to me just as the insurance company did. There wasnt any surprises. Affordable and comfortable.Mother of 2
My husband and I were going to the Diamond Institute for Infertility and Menopause for two months. We had gone through multiple blood test; two collected samples from my husband and hysteroscopy for me. The physicians assistant Janet is beautiful, and every time we saw her, she asked if Rochelle had called us yet to go over the pricing. After two months and of waiting for Rochelle to give us a call back after we had to reach on multiple occasions. She finally called us back the day after my Hysteroscopy to tell us that we are $5,000 short, and we cant go any further without paying. Rochelle couldnt tell us where the money would go and the best answer that we got was, Well, it could be used for the second try if the first one doesnt work right.: Telling us that we needed extra money is something that should have been brought to our attention well before we even went through any heavy duty testing. Throughout the entire phone call, she was horrible to have a conversation with even when I had to bring my husband in on the call Rochelle was condescending and downright nasty to him as well. She has the worst attitude of anyone who works there and to be honest, anyone who answered the phone at the Milburn Office is rude to speak with anyway. We should have been contacted by Rochelle when we started this process, not right before we were about to start the medication that I would have needed to take to get my hormones to the proper level and waste my once in lifetime use of my IVF Insurance deductible. Before we started this process of trying to get pregnant again after a failed pregnancy, we had contacted the insurance company to make sure that other than co-pays that there wouldnt be any extra money out of our pockets. Once they confirmed, my husband and I decided that we would go ahead with the procedures to get pregnant.Rochelle said to me on the phone that If I wanted to get pregnant, I would figure out a way to get the money. It was hard not to be taken aback by that comment almost like she was holding a carrot over our heads. Wrong move lady, wrong move. When we had talked to Janet and told her that we werent going to go further into the process because of Rochelle, she said that it hadnt been the first time she has turned people away from the practice. Dr. Yamin called me from Isreal while he was on vacation to talk me back into going through with the process, as his intentions were good he also couldnt tell me where the $5,000 was going to be applied too. This review has taken me some time to put together because I have needed to calm down and word it in a way that would give the reader a realistic view as to what they are going to get while going there. The office staff in the Millburn office doesnt care about you, your struggles in your intimate life and all they want is your money. No please or thank you is used in that office. They have called me and asked me to leave them a review, and here it is and my sincere opinion. Do not go there, go into the city or find someplace else. My husband and I are waiting to see another place to try again and hopefully get a better experience with this process that has been so hard from the get-go.My advice to the company is to find new warmer people to work in your Millburn office. Hire people with compassion; work ethic as well as basic human emotions. We will not be back there, and we are disappointed that we waited our time energy and feelings on such a poorly ran facility.
I will not type anything bad about anyone but my recommendation is there are other better Infertility clinics out there that will dig and search for answers before they do a egg retrieval/embryo transfer. I used up two of my IVF on my insurance at Diamond and I regret it. After a failed transfer is when they want to order testing.. how come these tests were not done BEFORE the procedure? There is alot of miscommunication at this felicity. Tests were ordered for a specific situation and other results were received. Then we gotta do bloodwork again and send out for these tests again and wait longer and charge my insurance again! Unprofessional!Due to my lack of knowledge, I allowed the experts to run the show. My advice is do your homework, get educated in this infertility journey and you call the shots! You are the customer, you are paying for this.
The worst clinic EVER!!! Ladies, please don’t get yourself in such a big trouble and never deal with any of these people! They are nothing but bunch of scammers! I made a huge mistake coming to this office and trusting them with our biggest dream which they totally ruined. I’m trying to transfer everything to another clinic and they don’t want to release all my stuff because their testing don’t match their reports! I’m getting a lawer now and going to sue them for all their scams!!! Extremely upset and disappointed.
Hands down the best experience anyone could ask for when seeking fertility treatment. Dr. O was able to diagnose me within a week. After going through all the test with the clinic my husband and I were pregnant within a month! Thank you GUYS!!!
This place is horrible, Staff has a friendly face until you question something like prices and they confirm will be covered under a persons insurance. I understand if they found out later other wise but at that point when you ask them for a gameplan and cost and they state you just have to make a payment for one or two test at this rate you feel OK sounds odd but fair enough. You proceed and they tell the guy who has kids something is wrong with him, take this test at this price period and now he has no choice but to pay out of pocket again. Of course there has to be a follow up visit so another 2 and change. Were up to a bit over 5hundred and still at point A.We get an invoice they state later was wrong and they would fix it but never do but your focus is making that bundle of joy so you miss a bill or two you never expected. You finally notice and theyre invoices from two different places Labcorp, Quest for ridiculous amounts in which you call up to have them say the doctors office submitted it wrong and they have to fix it so you try to call, get the run around or hung up on. You finally reach someone who says to email them the invoices and they will fix them, you explain several people have claimed the same to no avail and other people have been rude and this is getting out of hand while still trying to make a Baby.Wks pass by and now you get a call from collections after you were informed it would be resolved and someone will get back to us. We have been questioning other prices at this time and sending emails and both of us calling to no avail but now we are in collections. You now have to resolve collections and work out a payment plan while getting the news the next step would cost us 5-16k depending who we get the meds and addl items from. Additionally after the many visits during our work week for the past 3+months with hope youre near your final stage every thing comes to that crashing hault. You have no additonal funds to proceed btwn the out of pocket meds or difference and the visits, co pay, out of pocket cost we just had to face the truth, we cant continue this unfortunately. The calls and the emails with your concern hoping prices and details were laid out properly not needless cost like showing us how to stick needles in ourselves after we just learned we could not afford the additonal meds to take the shots, so why did they show us anyway then charge us for the visit and counseling? No answers that were clear and a lesson in insurance and how our jobs need to offer us better plans like we have that control but not once details on actual fees just 2 and change twice. So you both put so much into this. High hopes and failed promises of being a team all the way through. No discussion on the overall gameplan and what insurance would and would not cover in the near future so our cost we could figure out if it was worth it to begin with. Emotions deep amongst the relationship and the blame game in between to come to a realization, we are not enemies we are a team and they mislead us not each other.More calls and more stress 2months after the stop came into play and were both still stressing for the bill to be fixed or explained, why do we owe three places when we did testing in one. We get the great news in Dec she is pregnant without the clinics help but shortly after she miscarried for so many reasons, this place being the biggest. We then state well at least we know we can get pregnant and the test were wrong about the sperm test so theres that light of hope.In conclusion this is no story but the facts. We have emails and record all our calls if anyone wants to hear the true way they treat you when you need resolution for their mistakes they have made and promises to fix the issue. We now owe them, Labcorp and Quest a bit over 2grand all together. We have not made any progress but owe for absolutely nothing. Even with the lady Lisa being on tape and admitting they made a couple errors, even sending my test to Quest Vs thetesting place making more debts. This broke us.
I’m not sure why there are so many negative reviews but I’ve been going to this practice for the past 5 months and I’ve had nothing but pleasant experiences. Most of the time I’m seen promptly, the staff are friendly and make you feel comfortable. I mainly see Dr. O who I love, but my bf saw Dr, Yumeni today and he had a great experience with him. I’d recommend them for sure!
I have never felt better. friendly welcoming environment. The nurses are spectacular. The doctors are amazing. I absolutely love everyone there.
This office charged me twice for services that I paid through copay and submitted the charges twice to a credit union. The Doctors are much better than the front desk staff and unfortunately I will be reporting the charges to the medical board.
I was very upset when I called and got a rep on the fone name Charisse she was very rude & unprofessional & tlkn to me like a child I’m in the hospital and this just made my blood pressure rise ! U all need to hire professional ppl in your office not ghetto now I won’t come here I will spred the word about this place and how rude the ppl are
Absolutely Love the Diamond InstituteDiamond has blessed us with 2 beautiful girls. We had some heartbreaks along the way, but no worthwhile endeavor isnt without challenges. We cannot thank Dr Yemini and the entire Diamond staff for their efforts. My wife went to another facility prior to Diamond and the level of service was night and day. NO ONE compares to Diamond. Thanks again from the bottom of our hearts. Ramesh, Joanne, Kaitlyn and Kristen Lopez.
The only reason I’m no longer a patient of this office is because of ROCHELLE !!!!!! I’m not a person to type away , but this woman is the worst I DO NOT recommend anyone to that practice specially while attempting to have kids . The doctors say don’t stress but ROCHELLE is great for that . DONT GO .
I so love Dr. O, nurse Ella and nurse Tiffany. They really make a hard situation so easy to deal with. Thank you guys for helping me have my beautiful little girl.
Thanks to Diamond I got my baby. Been trying for years with other doctors and nothing. My first cycle and I’m pregnant. Wishing me a safe and happy pregnancy.
Run from this place. people are rude and unprofessional. Your paying for a services so you better go to some place else before is too late. I wished some told me before. I wouldnt never ever came here.
I got pregnant here years ago, I had the other one natural happy 😊
I am 27 years old and I operate to not have more baby but now I want another you can help me with my condition
Waste of time and money. Poor communication and bad directions.
