Love this place! I initially picked them because they are downtown, but have been very happy with the care they provide. Attentive and cognizant of the needs I have. All the employees have been so nice and knowledgeable.

This was our first pregnancy. I was given nothing but attentive and kind staff, I cant recommend this place enough for how well they handled my pregnancy....even more so after we lost our child. They made the transition seamless, helped us every step of the way making appointments with specialists, making sure we were taken care of physically and mentally. Making sure we understood every scientific word and every confusing appointment. Ive never felt more seen or understood in a doctors office. For our next pregnancy I will 1000% be in their office. I couldnt imagine going anywhere else. The staff here really treat you like youre their sister, or daughter, mom, cousin whatever. With it being downtown I really think this is an overlooked option that I wish every woman knew about. If youre on the fence about places to go, especially as a first time mom, go here.

I have only positive things to say about Haugen OBGYN. I have been a patient at both their Minneapolis location and Plymouth location and have been more than satisfied with their customer service and quality of care. I originally chose Dr. Metherd for a general wellness visit and then continued to see her after I became pregnant. The thing I like most about Dr. Metherd is that she allows you to express your opinions without scoffing at you for not having a clinical background, which has been a common theme in the past for me as I am a habitual researcher. I also can’t say enough good things about the ladies in the lab. They are so gentle and kind when drawing my blood, I could honestly do it 1000x over with no complaints. I also really enjoyed my time working with the NP, Jancy. When I bled early on in pregnancy she took my concerns very seriously, and I was seen within the hour. I have always felt cared for and respected at Haugen and will recommend them to any woman, pregnant or not.

Had a very difficult time scheduling with these providers. Once I did get scheduled and showed up to my appointment, I was told the day of that the provider I had scheduled with almost 2 months prior was unavailable. So rather than move me to a different provider or work with me to find a new time, they canceled the appointment without notifying me directly. Evidently a voicemail was left but I never received it. This practice should work to improve scheduling or get a more automated system in place (ie emails, text notifications, etc). Their current system delays critical healthcare and creates major problems for their patients.Until these issues are resolved, I would recommend looking elsewhere for care. Many healthcare providers are using automated systems and online scheduling to create more seamless care so its unnecessary to put up with this hassle.

Highly recommend this clinic. They are very kind and professional. I was lucky enough to be scheduled with Dr. West. This has been my first pregnancy and couldn’t be happier with my experience over all, attention to detail, preventive care, and respect.

Im 17 weeks pregnant and I have scheduled multiple (5 or 6 at this point) visits with this clinic. Every single time Ive arrived for an appointment a doctor has been suddenly unavailable and I had to be rescheduled. I get life happens sometimes but to be almost 5 months pregnant and I have yet to see a doctor... come on. Plenty of other women have been in the waiting room and their doctor always seemed to be there. In no way did it feel like my baby was any priority to them. I dont expect a drop everything level of priority but can ONE of these doctors give a sh*t? Ive had better experience at HCMC and I think its time to go back there to have someone make sure my baby is ok.

Staff is incredible. Eddy is amazing, I love going to her! She makes me feel so comfortable there no matter the reason for my visit and really talks me through everything. Every time I go she has a student with her, they ask me if its okay and I say yes always! They are clearly learning from the best! :) The students are always super nice as well!

I have only had 1 successful pregnancy. I keep calling cause Im having random bleedings and they make me feel like Im not important, they not paying attention to my questions or concerns and I also feel rushed and barely cared for. Same with the Edina location. I have been calling for the same problem for a year now and they always tell me Im healthy so wheres the random bleeding and pain coming from?

I was a patient at Haugen Ob/Gyn for over 12 years. I became a patient after being hospitalized in college when an ovarian cyst burst. For 12 years I was seen regularly for severe pelvic pain, extremely painful periods and mysterious belly button pain that was so bad it was hard to wear pants. I was bounced between birth controls and told what I was experiencing was not abnormal. In my last year as a patient my new husband and I had decided to try and start a family. We were doing all the right things and following the clinics orders but we werent getting pregnant and now, off birth control the belly button pain, severely painful periods and unending pelvic pain all returned.I was told after 8 months of working through this that I just needed to be patient and when the CNP became frustrated at my request for more information because of the severity of my pain she said What, do you want me to just have them cut you open?By the time I saw a doctor it was too little too late with this clinic. For years they dismissed my pain. I was to the point of self-diagnosing endometriosis and ASKING for laparoscopic surgery. I am VERY glad I did not go through with surgery at their clinic and moved to Oakdale ObGyn with Endometriosis and laparoscopic excision specialist Dr. Palmer. This clinic, their nursing staff and doctors did not take my pain and symptoms seriously. They belittled me and made me feel it was all in my head. Their clinic does not promote the gold-standard of endometriosis treatment in laparoscopic excision surgery.I was able to get in with the new clinic for surgery and within 1 month received a CONFIRMED diagnosis of Stage 3 Endometriosis. There are only 4 stages. Endometriosis is a chronic condition and mine had been ignored for 12 years. I would caution anyone from going to this clinic. Their ignorance of my symptoms, belittling comments and overall lapse in judgement on my care was inexcusable. I hope other women do not receive the treatment I did but I encourage everyone to be their own health advocate and seek a second opinion.

I went to see an OBGYN for a few reasons. I was diagnosed two years ago with Endometriosis and adenomyosis. I had surgery and an IUD placed. My IUD doesnt seem to be helping as Im still getting painful cysts and endo pain. So, I scheduled the appointment to have it removed and to discuss the pill. When I arrived she told me right off the bat that she wouldnt be taken the IUD out because its not in my best interest and that maybe I need to ADD the pill onto of it because SURELY thats the cause of my pain. I wanted to cry. Not only was she rubbing her forehead during our appointment and clearly not interested in helping me, she told me to see a physical therapist for my pelvic floor pain. I told her that 13 other doctors told me the same and that it seemed more that they were interested in passing me off to someone else than addressing my concerns. She then told me surgery was an option, a last option, as well.SO YOU WONT TAKE OUT MY IUD BUT GIVE ME THE OPTION FOR SURGERY?!THENI go to pick up my meds, including the birth control because why not try again, right? $150 for a certain kind of birth control?!?!?! Are you kidding?!?! The generic is $15. What is that about?Endometriosis pain is real. Do NOT dismiss me or my pain.LADIES.Speak up. You dont need every doctor to believe you. You just have to find one. My search continues to find one in Minnesota.

Was referred here by a physician in Chicago when I moved to Minneapolis. I’ve had a great experience with this practice and all the Drs are great. It’s very clear they care a lot about their patients health, even when you are seeing a Dr. that isn’t your primary!

Got my IUD here. My petite body made it extremely difficult to have the device inserted, but the care that I received was absolutely outstanding.
