I transferred to this clinic due to an insurance change. From the front desk staff, who were welcoming and super friendly, the nurse was friendly & caring and my new Dr Holly was fantastic & very thorough. I never felt like she was in a hurry and really wanted to get to know me & my medical needs. Best of all, the woman who took my blood, Pauline I think her name was. Typically I need 2-3 needle pokes in each arm. I request now in my hand with a butterfly (like for children) and she did a SUPERIOR job. The next day you could barely see the tiny poke hole and NO BRUISING-NONE!!! That never happens to me. I’m usually black & blue & purple for a week. I had a great experience at this clinic & location!!!
I needed to see doctor for ankle swelling. I was told that the appointment was set for 11:40 am on 06/21/2024, but I got here 11: 52 am, well I should have thought about giving more time to myself because of moving and walking slow. I was informed that the doctor would not see me because I was late. I was offered to use the emergency service which I did and which will cost me way more. The funny thing is there was another patient whos appointment was 11:40 am, she came after 12:00 pm but her doctor saw her right away. Wow! I saw this with my own eyes. Well, I saw another doctor with not so great experience, she kinda rushed me and I had to wait a long time in there. I am just wondering everytime you wait for doctor in there anyway so why it mattered if I was late 12-minutes. It seems like I have to see my primary doctor because in emergency they cant do much. I had issue a couple of times in past but let it go but I think it is time for new clinic
My experience at Northwest Family clinics was extremely good. Check in is always great, and everyone is helpful and knowledgeable. Dr Taynton is an amazing care provider, always a good listener, and informative. She takes the time to engage with me and fully understand how she can best help me. She is the best kind of Doctor.
EDIT: They respond here to make it look like they care, but will ignore you once you reach out to them. Pretty scummy.Shameful. I went there a year ago for a back injury and the doctor was incredibly dismissive. The doctor, Gregory Frane, told me to my face that he doesnt care how I go about treatment. I would like my doctor to care about my treatment thank you.Disgusting billing practice where I was not contacted about my balance until a full year after my visit. It was the collections agency that contacted me, not the billing office. I called the billing office to inquire why my account was sent to collections when I was given no notice of a balance. They admitted that they attempted to mail me notice but had those notices returned for an invalid address, despite confirming that they have my correct address on file. Paul, the billing manager, ignores what you tell him and will not talk to you like a human. I do not recommend anyone visit Northwest Family Clinics as they have anti-consumer tactics of sending a balance to collections without contacting you first.
I have always received excellent care at NWFC and their Urgent Care. My doctor, Holly Stenzel Taynton, has gone the extra mile in trying to diagnose complicated health issues, she is a fantastic listener, responds thoroughly to questions during exams in a way a patient can understand and she follows-up with additional questions i.e., after lab results come in. I feel I have an excellent doctor-to-patient relationship and wouldnt hesitate to recommend her to anyone looking for a doctor.
Today was so easy to see the doctor. The lab draw the lady hit the vein right on. What a awesome clinic I really liked the Doctor!!!! She made me feel comfortable. Holly Stenzel Taynton. Thanks for all your efforts and Ill be sure to medical appointments. Made thing so easy.
Work related injury and work comp and I called ahead confining me coming in. Staff wanted to push me off to the ER once I got there. Lady at the front desk was extremely unprofessional and made passive aggressive statements, even making a slick joke about said shoulder injury. Extremely disappointed !!!
Would AVOID this place at all costs. I felt like I stepped 30 years back in the healthcare system upon arriving here. None of the staff can socialize normally & they’re completely unfriendly and unprofessional. If you want to be gaslit about your medical questions and requests, come here! I have a history of anxiety & ADHD along with asthma and allergies, so I always get routine bloodwork at my physicals. The dr here nearly refused to give me bloodwork & said she “wasn’t sure how insurance will cover this given no justification at your young age.” I wouldn’t trust any of this staff, including the MDs, to actually care about my health and well-being. Felt like I was a transaction rather than a patient. Will NEVER come back here and will do everything I can to make sure no one I know does either.
My appointment for this family clinics on 12/14/2023. For a physical and lab testing; that goes through labcorp that are free of charge through my employer labcorp. The experience; first expressions were 4/5 stars from the front desk to the Doctor to the phlebotomist. 2 major problems though is my test result came back kind of serious with all these food allergies the following up 1 out of 5, never got reached out again from my doctor just the assistant but this needs a true discussion or follow up it is very important as this is a life changing event. The other Major problem is the CHARGES , (people) I got charged 309$ for a new patient fee (that’s like a ER bill) , never did I see this in the paperwork nor told this was 309$ fee, very close to taking it to the US DEPARTMENT OF LABOR ; NO SURPRISE ACT LAW. After hours and 3 consistent days of phone calls I couldn’t solve my Bill correctly I had given up. I’m also an employee for LABCORP that is stated in my paper work I filled out in the clinic , I bring that up again because all my LAB TESTING should have been free than processed through insurance. This medical institution billing department has smoke in the air they did not want to reverse the Bill and do it correctly making me as patient but instead they made me a client to other services. I was strictly told they can’t reverse bills to fix this discrepancy situation never heard of that but bank statements and other big purchases can always be fixed. I had my insurance involved , my Company involved for the Lab testing it all came down to the clinic for adjustments. This place wanted 100% of the money seems almost like a scam I don’t want to make accusations but we all know how flakey this industry can be. Serious doubts of coming back here again or recommending it. If you set a new appointment ask for a full disclosure of billing charges prior of being seen there.
Dr. Riley and Casey McAllister are wonderful people. Both very good listeners. I have been seeing them for years and will keep coming back. I highly recommend this team.
Given my conversation with the manager Patty for NW family clinic and professionally correcting problems with my daughters asthma medication with pharmacy I am increasing my review. I wish more professionals could learn from people like her. She was very respectful helpful and understanding and maintained communication while correcting something vital for my childs care. I see why she has her position. Great at what she does. Thank you Patty. Appointment itself went well. Gave 4 stars because some staff could use some training around ethics and person centered cares with respect to patients. Thank you for mitigating the issue.
We really like our Dr. Dr. Reichel is great with us in person. But these medical assistants over the last year are a lot to be desired. One was preaching at my husband about his medical condition. We both have mail order prescriptions. The mail order company told me I have to the provider about refills. The medical assistant refused to help me when I told her I talked to the mail order pharmacy about calling in my prescription. The gal was very rude. I have never had this much trouble.
If I could give this urgent care 0 stars I would. Waited 1 1/2 hours in the waiting room and once I was placed in a room with my 6 year old son we waited another 45 minutes just to be told it was another 30 minute wait for the doctor. Someone who came in after me for urgent care was told 20 minutes and was in and out before we were in a room. NEVER GOING HERE AGAIN
I used to love this clinic. I had a great experience in the past when I was going here for prenatal appointments a few years ago. Just today, I came in for a lab appointment and was the only person there. After about 15 minutes of people coming to the lab lounge after me and still being called up first, I asked the lady at the lab counter if she could confirmed that I was checked in, just so I wasnt waiting around for nothing. She simply said they see people on a first come first serve basis and I should just wait for my turn. She did not ask for my name nor did she follow up with me to inform me whether or not I was checked in like I had requested. Then, another two patients who were brought there by their nurse/MA were called up before me once again. After about 30-40 min, a technician who noticed Ive been waiting since before she even went on break finally checked in to see if I was waiting for labs and informed me I wasnt on their list of appointments for some reason. I checked FMH and definitely had one scheduled. She was super nice and friendly and took me back right away. I really appreciate her attentiveness and empathy. Truly, everything could have been more efficient if the first lab tech at the desk actually just took 15 seconds to acknowledge my request to at least confirm my appointment was checked in rather than to disregard me for asking as if I was inconveniencing her. It seems youre only prioritized for labs immediately after seeing a provider because a staff will go back and let techs know youre waiting. If you go in for a standalone lab visit, expect to sit and wait until someone hopefully notices you. The appointment was for a simple, one-vial blood draw. The whole process should not have been as complicated as it was. Hopefully things go smoother next time.
After three visits for different purposes, seeing different practitioners, my experience is that everyone here treats you respectfully and is attentive to you and their own job duties. From the front desk to the doctor him/herself, everyone was personable with good communication skills. I’m looking forward to seeing Dr. Riley and Dr. Agujiobi for prenatal care and delivery as I feel they care about what matters to me and aren’t only concerned with statistics and protocol. The best part of OB care here is that the doctor you see is the doctor who comes to the hospital to deliver your baby. Everywhere else works on the on-call system, which to me is another way of the patient just being a number or inanimate object, so I’m very impressed with Northwest Family Clinics. I couldn’t be happier so far.
My information was said out loud. I was disrespected and talked about me while I waited and was last to be seen. Was asked what I thought my dosage should be.
My husband and I saw Dr. Riley for our annual physical and to address some concerns and she was amazing! She may be the best primary care physician weve ever had. She was extremely attentive and patient with all my questions and she communicated very clearly as well. The front desk staff and the nurse and lab staff were all wonderful. The clinic is large and spacious and clean. Very grateful to have found this clinic!
Today I decided to sit at the bench instead of standing in front of the building. And instead of driving up or simply walking up to me asking if I was a client waiting. I was called on by the police. ( a woman who worked in the physician area I assume because they were the ones to addressed me about calling the police ). if only someone had any decency to drive up or walk up and talk to me I could’ve let them know that I am a waiting client and my assistant ride service dropped me off early. mind you it’s 40 degrees out and I thought I’d rather sit at the bench instead of weirdly standing at the entrance.
This is the third time we have had issues with this clinic. The first time they had a trainee take my daughters blood, after the third time and my daughter in tears I told them to stop. Second time my daughter had a urine test and Dr. Said test was normal. After getting home got a phone call from the clinic that there was a mix up and the urine run was not my daughter, and my daughter had a UTI. This is the third time and we came to urgent care and were an hour to hour and half wait. It is now going on 3 hours and we are still waiting.
We love Dr. Tallman! Hes been the doctor for myself, my husband, and now our two children since long before they were born. Hes personable, honest, and really cares about his patients and spends time talking with them and getting to know them.Ive personally never had a problem with the front desk staff. Theyre busy. Theyre polite. Theyre efficient. Sometimes, the appointment schedulers can be rude, but a lot of that has gotten solved over the past couple years, in my opinion. The facility is comfortable and clean and has toys my kids enjoy. The only real downside to me is the distance from my house, but Im willing to drive it for the doctor.
I went to the urgent care for a Covid test. The doctor came with only a swab and not the rest of the test. Then they called me the next day saying my test was negative and it probably was a false positive. My whole house has covid with symptoms. I took a home test and it was positive. Im never going there again because its clear that they are incompetent.
I highly recommend this place!!!! I chose to go here because it was right down the street from my work and oh am I so glad that I did! The receptionist Kim V. Was so nice! She was kind and we had a good conversation!!! Before were done with our chat, the MA was already calling my name to get me back to a room! After maybe 10 minutes with the MA, I waited maybe 8 minutes and the Dr. (Jessica) came in and immediately apologized for the wait. Which I said Ive never had such quick service at any urgent care before!!!! Jessica listened to me and really emphasized and we came up with a great plan for my care! I actually plan on making her my new primary care doctor from now on! I literally just ran over there during my lunch break at work. Was in and out in less than 45 minutes. I am so happy that I decided to go there! Thank you all for such great service!
I love my Doctor! Dr. Reichel is very good at listening to your concerns and treating you appropriately. I never feel that he rushes his patients.
I would give it a negative review if possible. Had an 8:20 appointment arrived at opening which is 8:00. They had me fill out paperwork which took 5 minutes. Told me to keep it and hand it to the nurse when called. At 8:40 I asked for the status because of another appointment later. I was snottly told if my name hasnt been called to sit and wait. At 9:30 I asked again and was asked who I checked in with by the gal I checked in with. I was then told the I was called and didnt respond which I promptly explained I was sitting right outside the door that they come through to call and that everyone that was called entered. She then went back to see what was going on and came back and said they were waiting on the paperwork she refused to take stating I need to hang on to it until called. She then said I would have to reschedule. I am a long haul trucker gone for 2 to 3 months at a time and only know a week in advance of getting home. The utter incompetence of the health system today is awful.
If I could give them a Negative 1 I would. I got referred there from Broadway medicine clinic, because my son injured himself at school and I didnt want to sit in the ER for every. So Broadway medicine clinic told me to go to Northwest Urgent care Urgent care. From the phone call to going in there was nothing but disrespect, disregard, and rule receptionist. As we are there the women ask me have we been seeing there before? I say no, I tell her what was going on with my son she said do I have his medical card? I said no I dont have my son Medical card on me we just left the school can you just build it to me? She said yes but, he still cant be seen with out paying 100.00 dollars. Smh my son arm was broken.
Had foot surgery. Crystal location. Nurse Andrea was super nice and caring. As always Dr. Tallman does an amazing job! Had intern helping also and he was top notch! Caring helpful staff every time I go. Major shout out to Andrea! YOU are the best!Mark
Thankful for Dr Jessica P for giving me such good care! Never rushes through appointment and listens and responds to my concerns ! The front desk staff and nurses have always been very nice and helpful in a timely manner! Thank you ladies. Mike is the BEST and am thankful for him always. Tania a scheduler was very sweet, compassionate and got me an appointment same day: NW Family Crystal is great
I just moved to the Twin Cities from the East Coast and needed to find a doctor. I could not have been more pleased with my experience here. No wait time, helpful and friendly desk staff, and Dr. McLean is wonderful and compassionate. I love the fact that everything is in one place: the lab, imaging, even OB-GYN and mental health care! The fact that they are 5 minutes from my house makes it even better! Ive already recommended that my sister switch to this practice.
We had a pleasant visit today at Urgent Care. Everyone was very kind, listened and very understanding of our concerns. It must be a trying profession when people are not feeling well.
Slow service here is an understatement. Even with an appointment you can wait an extra 1-2 hours past your appointment time. Not just a one time thing either.... happens every time. You wait for an hour in the waiting room and up to another hour in your room before anyone comes in. Also when you call the nurse line you always have to leave a message and you never get a call back.
Been going to this clinic for over a decade now, too bad they cannot keep staff. I agree, the front desk people and the appointment people on the phone(s) are about as personable as a rock. I love my new PA, and I keep my fingers crossed she doesnt leave, like all the others have in 15 years. Wait times are always appropriate. I have never been turned away, only when I was told to go to the hospital for something I didnt even need to, oh well, error on the side of caution. love the new building, not crazy about the lab chairs, there is no room for a big butt like mine. will keep going back until I find someone/place better.
I am amazed at the negative experiences some describe here. I LOVE this clinic and everyone I have had contact with here. My doctor treats me with respect and looks for my input before making final decisions about medications or referrals. She always takes time to answer questions and it is clear to me that she remembers me from one visit to the next (and I am not there every week!). Once I needed a PT appointment for dizziness and they took me in immediately in order that I could get relief quickly. The front desk staff has always returned my smiles and good humor.Insurance issues come up no matter where we go; I have learned that it is my responsibility to check with my insurance plan before making an appointment anywhere. The days are past when we can assume that a simple check will work. We also need to understand that no company, business, clinic, service is going to give us a treatment or service without it being billed.
Ive been going here for almost 7 years and have never had a bad experience. Dr. Tam is amazing, all of the nurses and staff have been open and helpful. Even when they couldnt help, (The office didnt have what I needed for a splint that I had come in to purchase to replace one that didnt fit) they have always gone the extra mile to both listen, partner and support me.
After a mishap last year for a physical, I got to speak to the doctor. She was happy to listen to my issues and concerns and addressed the mishap and it made me feel listened to. Most doctors gloss over my health concerns, but my doctor listened to all my concerns like I was a person that mattered. Helped me open up and address all concerns. I’d highly recommend this place if you want to feel like your health is valued.
Rudest front desk at any healthcare provider Ive gone to. Was told there was a 2 1/2 hour wait when there was only one other person in the waiting room. Left and went to maple grove and was seen almost immediately. Felt like I was bothering the woman, clearly she hated her job and when Im not feeling well thats not what I want to see or deal with. Get pleasant staff and youll keep more patients.
Ive yet to experience anything like anyone else described. The waiting room is nice, wait times are generally within 20 minutes of the appointment time, the process is pretty much the same as for any office Ive been at, and my doctor is knowledgeable and not judgemental about my life choices. When Im in a doctors office I expect that the experience isnt going to be great; usually its because theres something wrong with me, and that makes me grumpy, anxious, and impatient. But they have always been able to take care of me here.
My wife, four children and I have been going to Northwest Family Crystal for going on 14 years and are treated like strangers each and every time. The proximity to home is the only thing that keeps us going there. Other than that its usually a negative experience from start to finish. The receptionists are never pleasant and rather than being concerned with your health, their first priority is to thrust a clip board of forms at you followed by a demand for you insurance card. Its always a point of irritation to me that even though we have been return clients for years, somehow they dont maintain a copy of your insurance info or home or record for quick check-in.
Had an appointment at 6:40. I was running late at work and couldnt leave until 10 minutes prior to the appointment time. I called them and told them that I was running behind. Carrie/Kari at the front desk told me that if I was more than 15 minutes late they may need to reschedule. I got there 13 minutes late for my appointment, leaving work unfinished and they refused me. I have an issue that I had already been seen for in urgent care and need to see a physician. They offered me another urgent care appointment, which is a higher copay and they wouldnt have given me the exam I needed. Why didnt they tell me before I raced out of work, risked driving over the speed limit at times to get there and then they refuse me anyway, despite what they told me on the phone. I wouldnt bring a stuffed animal there to be seen. They lied to me and treated me like they dont care about the patient or what their needs are. It is all about getting people in and out, like cattle.I will never, ever again, recommend anyone to go there. I wouldnt give it any stars! Avoid it at all costs!
This is the third time Ive had to wait more than an hour to see our babys doctor this is WITH AN APPOINTMENT SCHEDULED, yet they have the hipocresy to tell you to arrive 20 to 15 minutes earlier. They should have more respect for peoples time. At least let me know how long the wait will be when I check in even with an appointment. Last time I come to this place, doctors are ok but apparently they need to do better with scheduling, staffing, etc.
My experience here has been good for the most part. The staff are helpful and friendly, and my experience has been mostly hassle free. There was a poor transition by Praeston Health to another provider, and now I am having billing issues that I need to follow up on. According to my insurance provider, they are billing out of multiple tax IDs causing my claims to registered as Out of Network. Other than that it has been pretty pain free.
I honestly think things have gone downhill since they moved to the new building. I was having some health concerns and went there plenty of times in a span of a month and never really received solutions or peace of mind. They didnt go above and beyond to help with your concerns. I was on a medication that was causing racing heart and they told me to stay on it. I took the initiative and got off of it. I feel better and now go to hcmc clinics that are a little further away but boy its a night and day difference in care. I feel they care about my concerns. I miss the staff they had at their old location! Im nervous to see how reimbursement goes after reading complaints on billing. They arent the absolute worst. But they have a lot of improving to do!!
First off, the medical assistant did not introduce herself. Im sorry, but youre about to ask me a series of personal questions, the least you could do is introduce yourself. Bedside manner? How bout toilet side manner. Dr. was nice. But she didnt introduce herself either. Went in for a 24 hour test and was told by the Dr. to call in the next morning for the results. I did and was sent to voicemail. Two hours pass and I call again. Voicemail. Five hours pass. You guessed it, voicemail. Seven hours pass and before the receptionist sends to voicemail I explain what Ive experienced the whole day. She explains to me that they were short staffed and that I would be called back and she was sorry. Ok. I get being overwhelmed at work, it happens to me on a daily basis, but this is a health concern. 10 hours later, my pharmacy is now closed, if I did need to start an antibiotic I will have to wait another day. Bad customer service doesnt even come close to describing my experience!
Northwest has been a terrible experience for me twice in just a a few years. Both times I have X-ray they told me I was fine then called back a week later to say. Oh we just got your X-ray results and you fractured your heal.(2016)then in December (2020) I was having some incredible pain in my lower left back and it radiated to my groin so they were thinking kidney stone and said since nothing showed on X-ray to go to Er For CT. So I did and nothing was found on my CT so I was to just rest and take pain meds. Then a week later (7days to the day ) Northwest family PA Calls me and is all apologetic because they just had gotten my X-ray results “ Caught up” and turns out I have a stress fracture in my lower left back. So now I have a $1666 bill for a CT I didn’t need. Please do yourself a huge favor and don’t use northwest family when it comes to X-ray that’s for sure. Very shady to say your X-ray is fine and only to be called back a week later both times to find out I was still operating on broken bones. If I could give 0 stars I would. And I don’t just give bad reviews on things. I give good reviews on good results. Northwest is now removed from my medical options
It’s a nice clinic, and I’ve always gotten excellent care here. The physicians have been thorough and very good at taking into account my chronic conditions. I think some of the people writing reviews and complaining think its like a scheduled drs appointment and expect to be seen immediately. That’s not how urgent cares and ERs work. They are based on triage, (and a half hr is NOT a long wait for an urgent care.) I’ve actually been seen here rather quickly compared to other Urgent cares and ERs, but no matter where you go, that is going to be quite variable depending on the severity of other patients’ issues at the time.
I called today as a first time patient looking for a primary doctor. The rudeness and unprofessionalism I received this afternoon on the phone made me not want to even make an appointment. I will try again on Monday, and maybe a different person that actually enjoys their job and how to be helpful, might answer. Funny thing is I do come here for UC and even the on call doctors over the years, that also worked regular shifts at the clinic, had spoken to me about the problems with the front desk.
I read the reviews here and I recognize the theme repeating itself. So many people expect to be coddled wherever they go. Complaining about the attitude of the front desk staff, really? Grow up! No one owes you anything, correct, they owe you nothing. You are not entitled to be treated with specialness, period. You ARE NOT SPECIAL! I know thats a tough pill to swallow. If you dont like it, you have the option of treating yourself. And good luck with that. Imagine being a highly educated doctor with many years experience and treating someone like you. You wouldnt even treat someone like you. Get off your high horse and realize that in the greater scheme of things, you mean nothing. Correct, I said your life means nothing. Be thankful that you live in a country that allows you excellent health care and the delusion that you matter. Now, having corrected you, I will write my review: Today was my first visit to this facility. I was treated immediately, which may be sheer luck that I arrived when I did. The same minute that the nurse left the room, the doctor entered. And heres the point so listen up! I have been treated by more than 75 doctors in my 58 years. I have never been so thoroughly impressed as I was today. I had the great fortune of meeting the finest doctor that I have ever had the honor to meet. Dr. David Sandell is not only a brilliant physician, but his attitude is exceptional and he treated me with absolute respect despite his intellectual status. Im sure that I would not be so cordial if I had to deal with whining critics who feel the insane sense of entitlement that you people express in your reviews. Dont bite the hand that cures you. And I will take this a step further and expose my true identity. I post reviews under the name of my decreased brother. He hanged himself six years ago. My name is Joseph Ciccarelli and I am proud to say that I met the greatest doctor at the best clinic in my estimation. Best of luck to you all, you get what you give.
Had to change my rating from a 3 to a 5. Things have improved a lot in the past years. I love this place now. Its the only clinic/urgent care Ill go to. Picked my insurance off of who they accepted. My primary doc is amazing. Staff is friendly and helpful.
Went to urgent care recently for severe middle ear pain and i was told that i do not an ear infection. I did not believe what i was told due to the intense pain so i immediately went to my regular doctor and was told it was one of the worst ear infection she has seen and dont know how that could have been missed. I used to go here for regular check up but i switch because my wife had a similar issued with misdiagnosed.
I like and enjoy going to this clinic my kids and I have been going here for 3 years and no complaints at all from us. Dr. Tallman, and Dr. Tam are the best. Tallman my sons sees, and my daughter and I see Tam we are all happy, satisfied, and blessed to have awesome doctors.
There lucky as hell. I had to put 1 star. Front desk nurse said she refuses to start an new file for me because it was my first time there an I didnt have a copy of my insurance card. I said so your refusing service because I dont have a copy of my insurance card. You can look me up I have 2 types . I have a cast on one hand the roads are bad . We just had a blizzard last night. I cant drive far. She said Oh well go to the ER. Smh this place is a poor excuse of a facility. Please dont go here ever !
I am quite happy with N. W. Family Physicians. I had the best Dr. I ever had with Dr. Christopher Bennett 16 years ago when I move here from CA. He moved overseas, and I recently started back with them a year ago or so. Dr. Scott Reichel went the extra mile to try to get me a new CPAP machine, which I very much appreciate. I will keep with them in the future. I like his nurse very much. I have had problems with the office staff at every clinic I ever went to, and don’t know why they are often rude. But I don’t go there to be coddled, and just want the medical staff to be efficient and helpful.
Dr. Tallman has been my primary physician for nearly two decades and is the best in town! Im so happy I changed insurance plans specifically to get away from Fairview to come here. Here the staff actually cares about you and your treatment options are not beholden to stupid corporate policies. Mia is very professional and Mike in the lab always makes getting blood drawn a less stressful experience. Some comments here call Dr. Tallman unprofessional and I think that is an incorrect description. He treats you like a real person and you can discuss anything openly with him. Id rather have a personable doctor rather than some stuffy, formal, fake professional experience.
My wife inhaled a foreign object and was struggling to breath.Receptionist turned us away and told us they close in a few minutes.
Came in for very serious chest cough nurse assistant was absolutely rude because it was the “end of the night “ treated me with 0 respect will update with true name of her. Needed an X-ray and they treated me like I was a burden . Don’t ever come her for urgent care because they do not treat you right.
I have been a patient here for over 20 years. Several months ago I was there for sometime fairly significant so they billed me for the extended office visit. During this visit, while checking my ears, the doctor (not my regular doctor who is wonderful) routinely checked my ears. Walked over to the counter, got a tweezer and pulled out a small block of wax. Got the bill - $114 for that 30 seconds.Months later, after both an email and a letter to their billing department, its STILL on the bill. I didnt authorize this, I wouldnt have paid $114 for this, and to me this is insurance fraud. Worse is the complete lack of courtesy in even bothering to respond to this long-time CUSTOMER.If you must go here, ask for EVERYTHING theyre billing you for during the visit and dont leave until youre satisfied with it. This is ridiculous.
This place is completely awful. The front desk is rude for starters, and appear as if theyd be happier cleaning toilets. No one will ever answer your call - whether for an appointment or calling back for test results.Basically, expect them to do nothing, say to call tomorrow, and then not answer. If you prefer incompetent, unprofessional healthcare and a facility that cares nothing about helping people who are sick, this is your place!
My 6 year old and 3 year old both had blood draws tonight with no tears!!!! Their lab technician is amazing. I believe his name was Michael?
That is why I switched clinics all together. Since this new clinic, the front staff are so rude its unbelievable. They are loud with your private info. Popping gum, laughing about what happened over the weekend. Personal Phones going off. Unprofessional. I reported this last year to my Dr. Reading reviews guess nothings been changed. Wont be coming back 😔
Came to urgent care today, the doors automatically open at 10am but no one was at the desk and all the lights were turned off. At 5 minutes after a lady walks in with a McDonalds bag and drink goes behind the counter and then asked if we were here for Urgent Care, ummm yes! She didnt apploigize for being late and just started handing out clip boards as her personal phone was ringer and she tryed to get organized. NWF use to be good, but since this newer location its gone down hill. There are a few PAs that do care but its the luck of the draw you get who you get.
Ive been waiting 45 minutes after my appointment time for my doctor because hes at a meeting and someone didnt block out his schedule to start at 9. I heard them saying this in the hallway. This is ridiculous. No respect for a patients time.
Dr. Riley really cares and her new nurse Aday is so sweet, as well. They really get to the bottom of the health issues, and make me feel comfortable.
The front staff is unprofessional and will take personal calls in front of pts, they even gone as far as holding their finger up so they could dfinish their conversation with another recptionist, but I’ve always had aGood experience with Cyhnthia the Medical assistant. Dr, Sarah Fisher & Dr. Jessica. Due to them the clinic is a 4/5 ⭐️‘S
I wouldnt go to a different clinic. My Dr. Is awesome, as so is the entire staff. They have an acupuncturist, and mental health staff that cant be beat. Mostly only short wait time, and if they are running behind they let you know.
Awful experience there. i hated it! i was originally going there for regular Dr. visits. once i found out i was pregnant they told me i could stay with them the whole pregnancy. what a mistake! the doctors there dont have any interpersonal skills. the treat you just like a number. they really dont care about you and they also act like they always have something better they could be doing. please do not go here ladies. they transferred me out for borderline high blood pressure 130/80. really?? so i went to go see the REAL baby doctors over at oakdale OBGYN connected to maple grove hospital. needless to say i will never go back there and neither will my husband. we will be looking for another family physician office (probably referred by oakdale) to go to. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT GO TO THIS OFFICE OR FACILITY! AND DO NOT GET ASSIGNED TO DR. MCCLEAN. SHE WAS AWFUL AND MADE ME FEEL LIKE MY BABY AND I WERE DOOMED.
Signed in to Urgent Clinic at nine AM. Was told the wait would be about 30-45 minutes. An hour and a half later I was seen. The person who led me to the exam room was not wearing a name tag, did not introduce herself or tell me he we role, e.g. medical assistant, aide, nurse.
My husband and I visited Northwest Family Clinic in Crystal and saw Dr. Tallman. We will NOT be returning. The front staff is unprofessional and appears to struggle with competence. Dr. Tallman was horribly unprofessional. He used the F word multiple times throughout the visit, a**, s***, and balls. His reasoning was that medical terminology makes people uncomfortable. He told my husband the nerve can be damaged slightly and motor skills in the thumb may stop, but ive never seen it stop people from doing anything. Basically, it this is normal and that most people just live with it. As a bachelors degree nurse, his lack of knowledge, compassion, listening skills, professionalism and education made it evident he was not a good fit for our family.
I cant give a review on the actual office, doctors, or service, because I didnt get that far! Never encountered such a rude person when trying to set up an appointment as a first time patient. I am definitely looking elsewhere!
I have been going to this clinic for just over a year now and havent experienced any of the complaints that some other reviewers have mentioned. They are timely, kind, and my doctor, Dr. Jonathan Tallman is the best family practice doctor I have ever had.
Went in today about 1:30pm, and was pleased that theyre upfront fee for me as a self-pay patient was only $50. I opted to be billed the rest. Things went well, so Id recommend them to others!
If I could give 10 stars I would. I was trying to find an OB doctor and it’s like Dr. Agujiobi fell from the sky ! She made me feel soo comfortable and I very much so look forward to continuing my journey with her! She’s amazing !! Northwest is very lucky to have her.
Have been waiting in urgent care now for 2 hours with no indication the wait would be so long. Considering the waiting room was almost empty its hard to comprehend why its taking so long. I will not be coming back here for urgent care!
My kids and I go to NWFP for primary care. I would say that within the last week I have been to Urgent care twice and I must say the staff that works the front desk are just rude and unprofessional. Not a good experience did not feel welcome at all.
I broke two ribs. They made me wait 2 hours in the waiting room and another hour in the exam room before I was helped. Will go somewhere different next time
Nacy and jill was at the rep desk both was probably irritated because came the last 30min before they close the urgent care so, they refused to see me and my daughter because they said we had Covid symptoms when we didn’t I was trying to get seen for bv and my daughter has an ear infection we was turn around and left to wait in are car to however long it would take for the doctor to call us for a virtual meeting. I also was not happy with the fact that nacy was supposed to be helping me but for some reason Jill felt the need to help her talk kept rudely interrupteing us trying to help her refuse me telling me I need to leave wait in my car there’s nothing they can do and even know they close at 8 after they leave I should still wait in my car cause they didn’t have a time that the doctor would be calling I really like this clinic and it’s close to home but they are rude and unprofessional plus I never see my primary doctor even when I scheduled really not happy with my urgent car visit might go back to my normal doctor north point health and wellness
Going down hill! The people that answer the phone to schedule appointments are rude! I called to see if I could get in to get something checked and she just said - no appointments available- no doctors available- didn’t recommend urgent care just very rude - this place has been going down hill! Stay away!
All the team that I have had to work with are good listeners and will take the time to help manage your care with your needs. I highly recommend this clinic to my friends and neighbors because they listen.
Every staff I interacted with where kind and courteous. Dr. Tam is one of a kind! she was cheerful, gentle, caring, empathetic, and thorough.
They are usually on time, are great with my step daughter who is severely Autistic and non-verbal. They are respectful and very patient with her.
Providers and staff are good. Ive only been on weekends and the waits are short then. Not sure what the other reviewers are describing. Ive always had good experiences.
Sat in a room for 45 minutes after waiting in the waiting room for 30. Still sitting here. Don’t come here unless you want to wait forever. There are twenty photos on the wall here of doctors you’d think they’d have more than ONE on duty. The place is closed and I’m still waiting to see a doctor.
Without question a wonderful experience that resonates patient care. Sorry I hadn’t known this care facility earlier! Special thanks to Dr. Tallman for personalized care and invigorating one on one time!
Waited 1 hr and 15 minutes in the waiting room and another 45 once in the room. We were give no heads up on the wait time when we checked in. Otherwise we would have gone to another clinic.
Great doctors, their front desk staff could use a lesson on what customer service means. They are some of the most unprofessional people Ive ever encountered.
I really appreciate Northwest Family Physicians. Their doctors are smart and care about their patients. The clinic is also affordable. Highly recommend them.
This clinics the doctors is very good but front desks tammy m she is so unprofessional she need to go training for how to talk to a patient she is race colors I give 4 star for the doctors only thanks keep up the good work.
IF I COULD GIVE THIS LOCATION 0 STARS I WOULD! ALWAYS SOMETHING WRONG. FROM THE PHONE OPERATOR TAKING 20 MINS TO ANSWER THE PHONE TO THE RECEPTIONIST MAKING PERSONAL PHONE CALLS ON THE WORK PHONE WHILE PATIENTS ARE WAITING TO BE CHECKED IN ! LIKE REALLY !?
I love the new facility and the physicians are the best. Dr. Reichel and Dr. Tam are true professionals. They have cared for my family for years. I highly recommend them!
Very nice facility! We were in and out of the urgent care very quickly on a Sunday morning. Id recommend going here.
The FRONT staff are really rude people.. switched from plymouth office because this place is closer.. but after my last experience i just switched to a whole new clinic and dr..Only gave an extra star because the nurse and dr was nice.
They have amazing Doctors and great clinic staff. I switched from Fairview 2 years ago and it was the best decision I’ve ever made!
Kim V front desk is the BEST and very helpfully with check in process... 👍🏼 Also Dr. Riechel is very professional and thought with patients excellent beside manners.. thank you!!!! 🤟🏼
The doctor Jessica, is absolutely amazing. She makes you feel so comfortable! This place is great!
I haven’t been to the dr since 1987. They never berated me for this or lectured me! I can’t thank them enough!
Dr.Riley is thorough and pleasant to work with. She’s very popular at the clinic.
They will turn away folks in extreme pain due to ‘undesirable insurance’ and of course 20 minutes before they close they really don’t care how much pain you are in! Especially if you are brown & poor!!!!
Great front desk staff! P.A. Jessica Puchalski is great also, good attention to symptoms!
Worst place ever to go for kids . My daughters neck was bleeding and super red and the doctors not the nurses showed any concern . I was in the waiting room for two hours and when I kept asking and complaining about it they just didn’t show any effort in their jobs . Poor clinic . Never again !!!!
I finally found me a Primary Dr at this clinic.. These employees are thee best.. Polite, caring and considerate.. Recommend this clinic to everyone... I rate a 10+zz
Dr. Reichel and his staff are excellent. Dr. Reichel always takes the time to discuss any concerns you might have.
I went to the urgent care here today the wait was only 15 minutes I was in and out not bad for what you pay for but I wont become a patient there
I like this place. My times have never been very long. Staff is good, and has fixed me up. Great job!
Phone says, thank you for holding the operator will be with you shortly. I was waiting for 48 minutes... crazy phone answering system.
Went for an urgent care visit. Waited over 45 min to be seen. Supposedly they only had one urgent care doctor working. Horrible service
Warm, welcoming, professional and helpful. Everything I look for in a Drs Office.
Horrible place. I will never come back again. Everything about my visit was so unprofessional.
Ive always been treated well here. Dr. Reichel listens and takes his time.
Was seen quickly, and my rather tricky situation.was taken care of with great care and compassion..
I was told that there would be a 2 hour wait. There was one other person in the clinic at the time. This place is a joke.
Dr is great lab is great front desk people are great phone line is aweful.
Costs you $50 bucks just to been seen at urgent care if you dont have insurance crazy
Organized, compassionate, knowledgeable, on time, excellent quality for 26 years.
My family has been going here for over 40 years - I wont go anywhere else unless Im literally dying.
Been going here for years. Very good doctors.
I had a great experience. Friendly front desk and Dr.
Seriously!??? Urgent care? Very unprofessional and way understaffed!
This place is aweful!!! 2 hours and still waiting. the receptionist also lacks people skills.
Very professional! Clean and the staffs are very friendly.
Dont even show up. 80% Chance you will be sent away
Crystal Urgent care has great Doctors
Rude staff , dont go there!
