I would give this clinic more stars if I could. Everyone who works here has been so kind and professional. The doctors really take the time to answer questions and explain things. The nurses have answered questions over the phone and been so great. This is such a great place to get medical services. I am so happy I found them and feel so relieved to have found a place that makes my family feel at ease.
Its usually very easy to make an appointment and get information but they have their days where they seem like theyre understaffed or overstaffed and its hard to find people with the information either way. And the group that was running the clothing closet moved out. I started going to family tree clinic because if I ever had an accident like I did at planned Parenthood I would at least be able to get a change of clothes instead of having to wear my messy clothes. I was told that theyre thinking about starting a new clothing closet of their own, but thinking about it in Minnesota usually means delegating on something that would be very easy to just go ahead and do and then end up taking too long and then not doing it because no ones motivated to do it anymore. Or it means that theyre not actually thinking about it but they dont want to give a straightforward no and wait for people to forget about it.
They were able to fit me in same day because someone cancelled. THANK GOD!! The service is amazing, everyone who works here is extremely kind and patient. 10/10 would recommend!!!
I can’t say enough good things about Family Tree. I’ve been going here for nearly a decade now and their clinic is incomparable. All of their providers I’ve met with have been so highly attentive and truly have made me feel seen, heard, and held. They don’t make you feel like just another patient, but genuinely connect with you and make sure all your concerns are addressed.I would highly recommend this clinic for anyone and everyone!
Ive been going to family tree for roughly 5 years now. Everything said here about the quality of the experience is true. Staff are very friendly and care about you. Its remarkably accessible and provides the comfort that so many clinics are missing. That said, its still a clinic and scheduling mishaps and long wait times are frequent. Expect things to take about twice as long as youd think and be patient. (Ive found its common for a lot of places youll go though and family tree serves a lot of people)Ive continued to choose family tree because I believe its worth it and the quality of care Ive received so far is exceptional. You wont find another staff quite like them.
This was my first experience with clinical staff that felt like the staff actually had my best interest in mind. Usually when you go in to be seen at a clinic it feels very rushed to get you out as fast as possible. This doctor sat with me until she was certain all of my questions were brought to her attention, assured me that all my feelings were valid and treated every single question with such importance and really soothed a lot of my worries about being seen by a doctor after coming out as transgender in 2020. All of the staff is so friendly, they are there to help you as much as they can! They have so many wonderful resources to offer at this clinic! will always recommend Family Tree Clinic, especially for their approach to transgender Healthcare!!
The staff are considerably friendly and caring, I will be returning.
I just wanted to start by saying that Everyone was super nice and super informative with every question that I had the front desk from the provider were hands-down, so sweet and so nice I didn’t know what to expect coming here I wanted to try to find like a community clinic because I just had a change and insurance so I have to meet my deductible to have anything really covered so I was trying to find one and I came upon this place and was worried about how much I was going to pay, but the front desk told me about a temporary insurance that would cover my visit and I was overjoyed because I was expecting to pay hundreds of dollars for my appointment but thanks to my front desk people being so nice to me and finding ways for me to be able to afford my visit will definitely be coming back for my check up thank u guys so much
I appreciate the services they offer to the community but at the same time they dont mean much if you cant get a call through. I called and their phone tree is not functional - if you put in any of their offered extensions the phone just says it was not an available option, and youre not able to talk to anyone or even leave a message.
Outstanding service provided! Everyone is friendly and helpful. I recently worked with Ernie who was extremely helpful and quick to assist with Gender Affirming procedures and working with insurance. Thank you Ernie...
I came to this clinic to get some advice for some issues I’ve been having since I have started and now stopped taking T. I came here because I’ve heard they are trans and queer friendly, but the vibe was not giving BiPoc friendly. I try to go out of my way to give my opinion on different medical facilities I go to, and what my experiences are like especially as a black non-binary person. And this place did not feel very welcoming. The staff, from the front desk people to my doctor, seemed very stand-offish, kind of an “I don’t know how to handle you” or “i don’t know how to talk to you” vibe. That’s just my experience. It was awkward and uncomfortable.
I have so many good things to say about Family Tree, but I will keep it short. The diverse staff is very friendly and professional, very inclusive, and very respectful. I was taken care of by Dr. Katie and she did a phenomenal job. Highly recommend!
Ive really tried to be patient but my experience with this clinic has been HORRIBLE. I really had high hopes because I was referred and told great things but it has been a complete and disaster. Ive had so many of my appointments canceled or rescheduled forcing me to scramble and change my schedule to have to go back and forth with nurses who are just incompetent or not familiar with the patient and their needs. Can you imagine the psychological trauma a trans person has when theyre missing doses of medication because of issues arising, cant see their doctor and have to rely on a nurse youve never mets interpretation of whats been put in the notes by someone working at the front desk? You would think a clinic geared towards trans individuals would be more understanding and mindful of these type of situations. Ive had other issues like sitting on hold/in the waiting room que for onwards up to an HOUR for telehealth appointments to see a provider but have been turned around for being a little late to an appointment ONCE. I guess Im expected to be flexible but not afford the same luxury when circumstances that I cant control arise? Not to mention Ive been sent to pharmacies to pick up medication that has not been sent over on more than one occasion. Both times in blistering weather conditions. The only upside to this was my Dr Katym she was amazing. She was on maternity leave most of my horror story with this clinic.
Im getting really tired of how this clinic treats me. Maybe its just bad luck, but Ive been with this clinic since 2017 for hormone treatment. My first doctor here was great until she left, and thats when it went down hill. I had a surgery that required changes to my hormones and this is something Ive been telling the many different doctors they have me see (cuz I guess I cant get a consistent doctor here anymore.) After two years of not being listened to, Im getting fed up. They keep telling me a hormone level is low and they keep wanting to raise it, and I keep telling whatever doctor I see that I need another hormone to balance it out, but Im always just told theyll discuss it and I never hear back, and then I see a new doctor again and Im back at square one. Along with that, they dont refill my hormones promptly that I NEED everyday, otherwise my mood gets out of sort and I feel very weak and sick. They tell me I need to see my doctor to refill my prescriptions, okay, but then my doctors make me wait an hour on the phone and no show, or straight up cancel my appointments. How am I supposed to get my prescription then? I shouldnt have to keep worrying about needing something that I need to be functional everyday, but here we are. I dont know why I have this horrible luck with Family Tree, but Im getting really tired of it and just want to be treated like Im cared about, not left without my hormones when I am begging for it to be refilled cuz my appointment was canceled. I am currently out of my hormones and have been waiting for a refill that I requested a week ago.. This just isnt right.
I was given incorrect medical advice which I unfortunately took as fact for almost 2 years. This is not to say this isnt a good clinic, but rather the providers were ill equipped to answer the fairly complicated drug interaction question I had. They were very nice & for most people are an awesome clinic, but I would get a second opinion if you have a more complex question as they may not refer you themselves.
Dont know if you know this, but your phone system doesnt work. I called to schedule an appointment. Automated system said to press 0 to reach an operator. It says invalid and hangs up after 3 tries. Good job.
The first clue that this isnt your typical clinic is that it is housed in a beautiful old building not at all clinical looking. If youre like me and have a fear of doctors and hospital settings, the environment here puts you at ease right away. Ive been going here since I was a teenager, and no matter where Ive moved I still come back. The atmosphere is so laid back, the staff is way supportive, kind, and non judgmental, and the services provided are top notch. Somehow a friendly face can make even a dreaded pap a not so scary experience. They always seem to be adding more great services too, like free walk-in counseling on certain days of the week, and transgender health care/hormone care on a sliding scale. This is the kind of place I hope sticks around for generations to come, as they seem to genuinely care about their patrons and about improving/empowering the community.Seriously cant love this place enough! ^_^
I think Jen is just the best. For me, the most important thing in a clinic is respect, communication, and feeling like I can trust the people providing my hormone care; I have found my match with Family Tree. Family Tree is newer to hormone services but also extremely receptive to client feedback and they truly care about your health and your experience. I appreciate you guys! Thank you!
Random text saying that I have to text stop to opt out. Not at all necessary for me to opt out since I have never opted in. Requested for THEM to update their records. Your clinic has been put on notice re: do not call/ text/ contact list! See ya: )
Clinic felt very safe and comforting, but they ghosted me after my third appointment. i understand they cant treat everyone, but a phone call would at least have been nice
Rude staff. waited for a while for the doctor to tell me that she did not know why I was having symptoms and sent me on my way. the doctor gave me the option of not having a resident to come and watch. I said I was not comfortable with that and she said a resident HAD to come in a watch even though I am very uncomfortable with that and my body...Terrible experiance in every way. Go to a real clinic.
I absolutely love Family Tree Clinic! The whole staff is so kind, accepting, knowledgeable and respectful. My favorite clinic. I appreciate all that they do!
Great staff! friendly environment, very laid back. also very inclusive. this place is different than other clinics (in a good way). ftc is definitely the best clinic i’ve been to.
I have had good experiences with them, but I am sad they moved from St Paul to Minneapolis earlier this year. Use to be a lot closer to me.
Staff is incredibly friendly and helpful! I always feel comfortable and safe with them. 10/10 recommend!
All the staff is professional, friendly and caring. They provide excellent information and make every effort to meet requests for appointment times.
Nearing 3 years at family tree and theyve been nothing but supportive, helpful, and understanding. Yrie especially has went above and beyond.
Such great staff. Kadie is one of the best practioners I’ve ever seen! SO kind and helpful.
Im extremely grateful for the Family Tree Clinic. This is a safe place for anybody to be able to go to. (Also very affordable!)
Best place ever. The people there actually care about you. Very LGBT friendly and inclusive. Super informational and helpful. 5 big bright stars!
Imagine if all healthcare was this affirming, competent, consent-based. Everyone I know goes here and I wish they could do everything I would ever need medically.
FTC is my go-to for compassionate, affordable, and queer-friendly care. They exceed my expectations every time!
They were able to see me the same day I called. The doctor who treated me was the friendliest I have ever met!
Very friendly, hard to recommend a place that keeps you waiting a month for lab results though.
The woman that saw me was so nice and she remembered little details about me ! I felt like they definitely cared :)
Super comfortable atmosphere. Place is clean, staff is nice, and lots of free condoms!
Everyone here is so knowledgeable and helpful, its a wonderful clinic staffed by extremely competent, caring people.
Really laid back environment. Docotors are really nice and informative.
Wonderful people. Very helpful. Would go anywhere else.
Every time I call they place me on hold forever! Other than that I like the place.
Wonderful staff. Extremely weird hours and inconvenient location
