The staff there was very friendly and helpful. They realized that it would take a bit to get me in to an appointment, so they were able to get me a telehealth appointment. That way, I didnt have to wait for hours and waste my time. Such a lovely crew! I felt very taken care of.
Went here for STI testing and even then the wait time was ridiculous. I got there with 10mins to spare for a 10.30am appointment but was attended to almost an hour later. The attending nurse was absolutely amazing. Fantastic bedside manners, explained every process clearly to me and made me totally comfortable. I would rate them a 5, but the wait time really was a turnoff.
I have visited there 2 times. The first day I walked out of the establishment. I waited 4 hours. The second day I went in at 10:00 at my appointment time and same thing. White in the waiting room you can hear the staff laughing and joking around. Patients were falling asleep in the waiting room and 3 people walked out.
First of all I tried to communicate with this place and it was impossible they never answer then I approached directly and the receptionist did not give me great information she just assigned me an appointment to be able to give me more information the following days I arrived at the appointment and even so the receptionist did not solve any of the doubts I had, it is very uncomfortable to access a service if they do not give you any type of advice. The procedure I had planned to do was to remove the implant and since I don’t have health insurance that’s why I was going to pay for independent but they still didn’t give me any information and they only told me that when I finished the procedure they would send me the charge but as someone is going to buy a service if they don’t know what they are going to pay. And I also needed to find out to do my annual check-up and they also don’t know what information to provide and the only information I achieved was that due to the establishment’s policies they can’t provide prices ??? I can understand that the health system is not easy here, but it doesn’t cost them anything to provide clear and true information.
Do not come here for gender affirming care. The staff is kind and respectful but that is pretty much all they have going for them. It is like rocket science getting your meds filled correctly or on time. They are impossible to get in contact with and the points of contact they direct you to get replaced almost weekly with no warning or notification so they very rarely know what’s going on or understand your situation. I can never get anyone on the phone within business hours whether I am calling the main office or my assigned points of contact. Either wait on hold for 30 minutes before the call ends without anyone ever picking up or get sent to a full voicemail box. If you do manage to get someone on the phone, they will promise to look into your issue and call you back and then never call you. It’s a shame, this would be such a great resource for those in need of access to HRT if they had any semblance of organization and were properly staffed and educated on trans healthcare. It is much better to save your sanity and look for an alternative than to come here.
Would NOT recommend coming here for HRT at all. Ive been trying to get in contact with someone to approve my refill since May 28th, but due to my work schedule, Im unable to call them often. Whenever I do have the chance to call them, no one answers the phone or calls me back whenever I leave a voicemail. My pharmacy has also been trying to get a hold of someone but neither of us have gotten lucky. Youre better off going somewhere else or using Folx or Plume for your HRT. Sucks cause ive been going here for a year now for my testosterone and havent had any major problems until now.
If I could give 0 stars, trust me I would. For a place that *supposedly* centers its focus around patient care and keeping a judgement free zone, this is NOT a planned parenthood that does so. I had a 1:00pm appointment and arrived 10 minutes early, waited 10 minutes for someone to come to the desk to check me in, and after checking in, another 40 until I was taken back to be seen. I was uncomfortable walking in here in the first place for the appointment I had (which cannot just be me, I’m sure any many women are nervous walking in the door to an appointment in regards to their health), however the staff, and nurses, did everything in their power to continue to push me to make decisions when I wasn’t ready to, and make me even more uncomfortable than I already was. I never had the opportunity to even see the doctor I was supposed to have seen— even though I had paid walking in the door (I went back in to get a refund before I left). The nurse that I had seen was poorly mannered, used uncomfortable verbiage, and my time with her felt incredibly rushed, like they were just trying to get me out of there instead of trying to genuinely help. I was scoffed at, and asked if “I was nervous”, as I had my vitals taken, which was uncalled for and unprofessional. Her demeanor as we discussed my situation did not feel “judgement free”, and made me feel self conscious, and insecure. I am so disappointed, disgusted, and disheartened that although this is a place to provide comfort and support for those in need, they provide none of this here. I would not wish this kind of experience at any facility of this sort upon anyone, and I hope that nobody else has to. Please do not even consider this location, there are plenty others in the area (as well as MORE RELIABLE women’s/sexual health) clinics in the area as well!
DO NOT rely on these people if you have any other choice. Been trying to get them to send a refill of a medication Im out of for a week. Its been two days now Ive been out. This is a medication that tanks my mental health if ever I run out. Three phone conversations today didnt fix it.Before this, Ive had multiple times where simply reaching the receptionist took over an hour. Ive also had multiple times when the receptionist picks up and it just hangs up because they have an ongoing (for at least the last few months) unresolved issue with their phone.Dont play with your health. They will.
Inside the facility isn’t too bad besides the long wait but it’s hard to get anyone to pick up the phone. It’s literally pointless calling them cause they never answer. They might as well take walk-in because it takes them over 30 minutes to call you in the back.
Do not go here if you are apart of the LGBTQ community. They are creating road blocks for trans people and no allowing them proper treatment! This goes for the connected centers in the area as the are all the same doctor who obviously has no idea what she is doing and is doing harm! Stay far away!
I called and even online they said they do ultrasounds but when I go after driving almost an hour they tell me they don’t do them here…this is the worst location i’ve been to. DON’T tell somebody FALSE information and make people waste their time for something important.
Made a appointment and confirmed the appointment over phone weeks before, also confirmed the appointment over text the day before. Came to the place and it was closed. They did not reach out to even advise me or reschedule the appointment for another day. Dont waste your time.
I recently went for the first time for pap smear and regular tests. I didnt wait long in line since it was a weekday and afternoon. I think most of the bad reviews are about waiting time.As soon as I walked in, all the staff were very amicable. All of them treated me extra pleasantly for my ease. The nurses and the doctor were very sensitive, thoughtful, and kind.If youre afraid of bad reviews, I say dont be!
BEWARE-this is not the type of establishment that cares about you or your well being.I had an important follow up visit, i had spoken to a director because the Morristown location is having renovations for a month, was told to come in by 12:00, drive an hour away, I waited for 2.5 hours, did my intake, THEN they sent me home and said they couldn’t see me…the director of the clinic called to follow up & see how the appointment went, I told her they sent me away, and she said that should have never happened in my situation. She was shocked herself.Bottom line-the doctor on staff was running very behind, I would have been the last appointment and they sent me home because the staff didn’t want to wait.DONT GO HERE, I had a medical issue where it was urgent I was seen by the doctor.
Yesterday was my first time going to this location and a Planned Parenthood facility in general and my experience was so wonderful! Every woman I interacted with during my visit was incredibly welcoming, kind, funny, and made me feel so comfortable being there. If youre like me and tend to feel nervous going into medical appointments then I would highly recommend this location because the people there truly put you at ease. I was in for a breast exam and pap test (so naturally not the most fun experience in general) but the nurse practitioner who performed it made me feel as comfortable as possible. I have immense appreciation and am incredibly grateful for people like that who make receiving healthcare a good experience.
The lady called me and told me to come in.. mind you it’s pouring raining.. I get there at 11:50 and nobody is there. This is easily the worst one. They don’t like working !!
They were actually really great & timely with me. Everyone was really kind.
I love Planned Parenthood as an org, but if you have the option to go to ANY other location, I strongly suggest it. The nurse I had was *very* rude, very uncomfortable experience already as its a medical building, but the lack of decency and bedside manner was unbelievable. Waiting time was long, to be expected, but an hour past my scheduled appointment defeats the point of scheduling.
This was my second visit here. The first time was pleasant and I was taken only a little later then my appointment start time. The second time I was a walk-in client. I was the first person in line and waited about 30 minutes to be seen-not terrible considering you cant make an appointment for birth control shots. Front desk staff are pleasant and the people in the back are very friendly. I definitely recommend this location!
Recently I visited for limited services (testing). Yes you may wait a little but it all depends on the staffing. Sometimes when they are short staff is only reason why wait may be long. I came to this location last year & this year the whole staff is NEW. Therefore I had no issues like the reviews I just read. Also I was told that there are only 2 reps who answer calls at call center for all 5 locations. No calls come directly to the clinic therefore sometimes you may be on hold a while especially when its only 1 rep handling calls for all 5 locations as I was explained. You are better off making an appt online or going in person. Overall my visit was great...
Ive been going here for the past 7 years, both with insurance and without. Ive never had a problem and the staff has never been rude to me. Yes, sometimes you do need to wait (what do you expect? Its a clinic.), but its not as bad if you make an appointment. I always try to make an appointment and have only walked in a couple of times since Ive been going here. Its pretty darn cheap if you dont have insurance, as someone else mentioned (I paid around the same price as another reviewer for my exam and 13 months of pills when I didnt have insurance, less than $250). With insurance, I only paid my co-pay for a Specialist, since thats what they are considered to be. Its pretty easy to make an appointment (compared to making one at a regular OB/GYN office, which Ive tried at a few, and the doctors were booked a month or two in advance), unless youre trying to get a Saturday appointment (they book up fast, at least a week or two in advance). Im actually due for my next annual exam soon, so Im going to be making that appointment in a couple weeks.
I see why they have the rating that they do! A registration link was sent via text two hours prior to my appointment where I provided all my information such as what insurance I have even included a picture only to get to my appointment just to be told they don’t expect my insurance and that it would be “about $150 out of pocket”! Smh NO THANK YOU
I went in for the abortion pill today and I was very disappointed. The receptionist told me, very dismissively, I’d have to make an appointment. According to the information on the website it states I could walk in for the abortion pill. She insisted that’s not how it worked. Perhaps update your website info?! Mind you, the abortion pill is a time sensitive matter because it needs to be taken by 10 weeks. And they only provide it on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Which defeats the whole purpose of this being a more “convenient” method, what if those days don’t work for someone? In my case I have kids and I was planning on having it administered today so tomorrow I could take the second dose and bleed out at home on Saturday since I don’t have to drop off my kids at school and I can get them proper childcare. I thought PP was a women-friendly facility but this place just makes it difficult. I recommend going to the East Orange office. The staff is courteous, professional and far more receptive than any other PPNJ I have ever been to and I’ve been a patient for over 20 years.
As an organization designed for smart family planning services there really should be free feminine period products. Free condoms but no free bleeding?
Honestly don’t know where to start. Got redirected to the wrong location for an appointment to this center. The appointment was just supposed to be a tele-health appointment so I could talk about my options. However they call me over an hour earlier than what the appointment was supposed to be. Then when I couldn’t pick up (I had work:(thats why I made it a certain time)they called me over 20 minutes than my actual appointment. Immediately when we got on the phone the person was blunt and had an attitude with me. All they said was to make an in person appointment if I wanted a certain option done. The over the phone sounded like they just really hated their job to be honest because they were no help for anything I could ask. Couldn’t even give another phone number to another planned parenthood. Seriously don’t waste your time here I never even got to go in person and they still gave me a bad experience. :(
I went here trying to get depo shot and because the location I usually go to is in a different city and they didn’t have my records they couldn’t help me. It would have been nice for the lady at the front desk to provide me with this information before making me sit and wait during a pandemic just to be told they couldn’t help me. To make matters worst I told the lady at the front desk this was my first time coming to this location. They need to train their staff better. It says no where in your website that certain locations aren’t linked with records. Also train your staff to make them more knowledgeable before they make you sit and wait only to be told that they can’t help you. Thank you for waiting my day and time.
I really do not want to give them one star. 3 years ago I went to get the paragard inserted at this facility. September 23rd 2021 I started experiencing bad cramps as well as spotting. This went on for days and kept getting worse. I decided to go to er Sept 28th cause I couldn’t take it anymore. With an ultrasound I found out the iud was out of place. They told me to go where I had it done. I called several times and left messages , no one answer , no one responded to my messages. I decided to go to my primary doctor the following day as they said they can take it out, but Turns out it was embedded and they were not able to remove it. They said I had to go to plan parenthood to get it remove since “ they’re” gynecologist and they’re the ones who inserted the iud. As I was on my way I decided to call on my way over. Finally someone picked up and I explained to this girl that I have been spotting for a week and looks like my iud may be embedded and that I was on my way. She said with an attitude “no walk ins only appts and I can only schedule you in two weeks” so I answered “ this is an emergency I can not wait two weeks to get this taken out. I’m in horrible pain and bleeding for a week now”. She just said “ you need an appointment and we can’t do anything , go to er if is an emergency” At this point I’m frustrated and said to her “ I already went to the er and they do not remove it, I went to my doctor and they can’t remove it , everyone said to go where I had this done” she just said you need to make an appt. and hung up.Very unprofessional and rude how these people treat their patients especially when is an emergency. I do not recommend this place to anyone. They do not care about anyone!!!
Doesn’t answer the phone at all! No help I have an appointment today trying to confirm what services will be done but no response not going bye.
I went in without an appointment, and waited only about an hour. I was only there for 2 hours max. People had 9:30 appointments and werent taken til 10, so dont expect them to be on time. I was also double booked by the call center. My suggestion is to get there at opening and clear your schedule. Other then that, good service!
Program for Parents is the absolute best. This company is so amazing and their trainings are very helpful for teachers and childcare providers. Ive been attending their trainings for several years and always learn new ways to improve childrens growth and development. All of the instructors are so nice and very knowledgable in their teachings. Denece Young, Simone, and Mrs. Porter are incredible at what they do and I highly recommend them and their wonderful staff!
Unprofessional is hell. All I need to say
The first time I went there, they were rude and I waited over an hour. The last time I tried to call for an appointment I waited and waited and never got through. Today I went there an hour before their stated closing time, to either get what I needed or make an appointment, and the doors were locked. So I tried calling to schedule an appointment and began at the 6th person in the queue and made it to the 1st 25 minutes later, only to wait another 40 minutes to GET NO ANSWER. The only reason I made it to the first caller is because everyone else must have been smart enough to give up earlier.
Obvious the staff has no care or interest in your behalf. The wait is at the very least 2-3 no matter what time or day you go in. The place honestly stinks. Everyone who works there is rude. They have no concern for you life outside the waiting room. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME. Easily the worst planned parenthood Ive been to.
Rude and extremely slow. I had an appointment for 10am I was seen at 12:00 left out out 1pm. No communication just really slow.
I took a shot in the dark taking a run here but NEVER again. i usually have a regular ob-gyn but unfortunately due to having to change my insurance im trying to find a doctor that im comfortable with and i NEED birth control. i look on their website and it says birth control services are available upon a WALK IN basis. i get there... takes the receptionist atleast 5 minutes to finally acknowledge me standing there cause shes too busy talking to the nurses about something and when i explain my situation she tells me i can only get it after making an appointment and having an exam. its very simple, i know what i need. i just need one sample to get me through the current month. i dont need a bogus exam from some random doctor that i will never go back to. point blank. i thought the point of planned parenthood is to get help in situations like this but clearly i was mistaken. it was pretty clear the staff just didnt want to be bothered.
As one reviewer said, its a clinic but a personal Dr therefore a long wait is expected. I have gone here on and off since I was 19 and Im now 32. The only thing I dint like its that they sit behind this glass which is at a distance and ask what youre here for. Now Ive only gone for annuals but I cant imagine if I had an issue that now I have to yell it out so they can here it over there. But they serve their purpose.
I went there two weeks ago they booked my appointment over the phone told me to come in that same day I waited 15 minutes they were nice I waited in the other room maybe 10 minutes very professional no complaints here all around ten .....
Super nice staff all around, easy walk in testing experience. I would give another star if I could for getting to bump to nardo wick with the lady taking my blood sample lol
Service is absolutely horrid! One, they NEVER answer their phones or you get an automated message. Two, you finally get through, make an appointment only to show up to a closed office.
Service was fast, bring proof of income+i.d., and schedule ahead of time. Got tested for hiv, and other stis. The Hiv results were rapid, under a half hour.
The call center closes at 5:00pm its 4:00pm and I am being told that all reps are busy and when my hold is up and my call goes to go through it is ignored.. Horrible service every time I try to get in touch with them. Never had an issue with other areas Ive lived in except the metropolitan area..
BAD PLACE ! Been waiting for my prescription for three days when they said they would send it on Friday. I called and the lady had a attitude. Would not recommend going here.
The cross-eyed women is extremely rude, insensitive, and not kind. Absolutely don’t recommend coming here. She shouldn’t be working at somewhere like Planned Parenthood.
Caring supportive staff. Clean. Free parking. Entire visit took 2hrs... but EVERY thing was done& all questions answered in depth. Comfortable waiting area.
Extremely unbelievably slow!!! Will be my first and last time coming here! Staff is slow, they’re also not by appointment it’s just first come first serve. Very unprofessional!
Great women working here, Honey & the manager were very helpful & very nice.
Friendly, quick and easy!
Posted times are inaccurate. Building says open at 0900 the did not open until 0945
The staff were so nice to me!! Very good service
They move So slow I come for refills and it literally take them an hour just to give you some pills it’s ridiculous
Horrible location. No help what’s so ever ! This location needs new staff
Not healthcare, racist history
Terrible service. Been here for 3 hours, havent seen a doctor, and 5 people that came after me have been and out.
Extremely long wait time and some of the staffs are very rude and dismissive.
Hit or miss some days they care about you & some days they could care less never good with timing Ill say that much
Worst place and staff I ever had experience in my life . Would not recommend even to my worst enemy !
Lost my day of work for nothing.
The woman at the front desk is very rude.
I was making an appointment and the lady hung up on me
That Cockeyed lady is really rude.
My girlfriend loves it here
Super bad I called 3 times and all 3 times they hung up on my cell phone, the worst place
This place is horrible, the person at the window is clearly not fit to work in that area, I had my appointment at 4:10 pm, I got there before he asked me for my ID with a very bad attitude and told me you can sit down after more Within 10 minutes he called me to tell me that they had a problem in the system and that they couldnt reach me that EASY, they dont care about your time at all, I told him to go, it wasnt possible, no one called me, I didnt receive any message where My appointment was cancelled. Then he told me ok if you WANT, you can wait 2 hours to SEE if the doctor can see you😡if I could give zero stars I would because you definitely dont deserve even 1.
