I’ve been transferred to this location when the Garden City one stopped taking my insurance for the past ~7 years, and every time I leave my appointment I go home disappointed and ask myself why I keep coming back. Very long wait, the actual consultation takes 5-8 minutes at most. Billings are always incorrect. They are very short-staffed I feel bad for the people that do work there as they bear the brunt of patients ire.Management needs to get efficiencies in place in this office. Hire and train more people, and show your patients you actually care for their well being rather than making this clinic just another money-making medical facility. Also, all these responses about contacting the office e because of these issues, for what??? Are you truly going to do something about these issues? Ir is this just your generic response? Do better!
DO NOT GET YOUR MAMMOGRAM DONE HERE!!!I’ve had several frustrating experiences at this location that I feel compelled to share. After a recent exam (9/13/2024), I was told I would receive my results within a week. However, that week came and went with no communication. I called the office multiple times, and each time I was met with vague responses and assurances that someone would get back to me soon. It is now 10/2/2024 and I’m still getting the run around. Its incredibly disheartening to feel ignored, especially during breast cancer awareness month. I understand that offices can get busy, but timely follow-up is crucial in a medical environment. The lack of proactive communication and follow-through is unacceptable. I hope they improve their processes. Its essential to feel cared for and respected as a patient, and unfortunately, my experience here was anything but that. I’ve been a patient with Garden OB GYN for well over 10 years but I will be finding a new practice.P.S.- It’s interesting that you can respond to a negative review yet I still haven’t received a follow up regarding my results.
Wonderful experience. Had a minor issue and they took me same day and on a Saturday afternoon to boot. Check in was a breeze. The staff was courteous and friendly. Wait time was basically 5 minutes. Dr. Cullota and her assistant were so friendly and understanding. I was treated and sent on my way. I found a new gynecologist and couldn’t be more pleased.
Very professional, kind and efficient!Little to no wait for appointments. Staff are helpful and courteous. Being able to interface with ease from phone is a major bonus! I will definitely be a long time patient and recommend them to family and friends!
Since the service rendered was exceptional I give you a 5. From checking in to checking out every one was very professional and had an upbeat attitude. Mind you I was there at 8 and they were all upbeat, not a groggy person at all. However, if I were rating your appointment reminder process I will give you negative 5 I confirmed my appointment yet I received numerous calls and text messages,
This place has a good providers, but is not worth it based on the overall experience. I have been coming here for one year.Once you make an appointment, they will harass you by call and text to confirm and remind you of your appointment. There seems to be a lot of untrained medical assistants here. One example is that I once made an appointment to hear about a type of birth control (nexplanon implant), the medical assistant for some reason thought I was having the nexplanon inserted that day. When I step into the exam room, I saw surgical supplies and needles set up. I was very confused and nervous. I did not have it placed and made another appointment to be more prepared. Definitely should not set up a procedure for a patient who is not having that procedure done today, then leave patient alone in the room to wonder what’s going to happen.Cut to today, I am being seen for a complaint. Medical assistant takes me in and leads me to sit in a hallway where other patients are waiting. I hear the office manager reprimanding a student and the medical assistants, which felt unprofessional to do in front of patients. Many medical assistants chatting and asking each other questions about what to do for patients (not trained well). Then the medical assistant tells me I have to do an ultrasound, doesn’t know why or what type of ultrasound. At this point I say I’ll just wait to speak to the doctor. I told the doctor my issue and she offered suggestions. We agreed on one.Overall my complaint reached a plan with the provider but the experience and headache of getting there is not worth it. Office needs to be better managed, wait time is long, medical assistants are untrained and staff is unprofessional in front of patients.
I was able to get an appointment very quickly. All of the staff were so professional and kind and caring. Most importantly everyone working there had empathy and was very respectful and willing to help their patients I had a very positive experience at this location and will definitely be coming back.
Very awful experience with billing. I am constantly being charged for co pays months later i’ve paid at the time of my visit. Spoke with billing on the phone and they recommended I allow my insurance to cover the costs of what i’ve already paid. Today I was charged a co pay for dates paid. Do not recommend this place. Stressful time during a pregnancy. I was hesistant on writing a review with my experience but what’s worst then being overcharged and stressed during your pregnancy.
Billing is always incorrect, staff doesnt seem to be apologetic for incorrect billing either. Very stressful for my pregnant wife and I to have to deal with. Also their is a cafeteria downstairs, the worker with the glasses in the front is very creepy and makes you feel incomfortable to even eat there. Previous reviews for this place were so good thats why we picked here but I now see first hand them declining in customer service and billing issues are very very annoying to deal with.
No idea why they have a 4 star . They keep taking on new clients and do not have the resources for the existing clients now . Do not choose them if you are pregnant. It is literally impossible to get in contact with this office . The office number no one answers it , they contract with a outside agency who handles scheduling so you cannot speak to anyone directly in the office . The phone number they give to text in case you have any Issues during pregnancy no one responds. You go for a visit the wait time is over an hour . I am so ready to ask for my chart and find a new ob but I feel like I’m to far along . It’s like yall don’t take pregnancy seriously.
I’ve had the absolute worst experience here. Once I made the appointment I started receiving multiple calls and texts every day to confirm, even after I’d already responded confirming the appointment. Once I got to the actual appointment, I was kept waiting in the dressing gown for about 40 min for the doctor to come in. The doctor herself was nice enough and she informed me that the lab results would be ready in about 3 days. I waited to hear back but still hadn’t heard anything in a week. I reached out but couldn’t get through to anyone at the office. Then finally I was sent a text saying the results would take 7-14 business days, which is totally contradictory to what I was originally told. I tried many times to speak to an actual person but failed to do so, only receiving a few brief texts. I was told a few times they would get back to me but never did. I would never have gone here for labs if I had been told from the beginning that it would take so long to get results and to be treated. Zero communication unless it’s to confirm an appointment too many times. Not honest about anything regarding timeline of treatment and follow up. Beyond frustrating.
I stop visit there after I get pregnant.1, The website has online booking option, you will receive confirmation in email, but it isnt sync to booking system in PC. You will know you waste PTO time until you GET INTO the office.2, They require patients to provide insurance photo (back and front), selfie and address, ect., at every SINGLE visit! Even I see them every 2 days in early preganancy!3, Some time they arrange me to next door without telling me. the next door is nurse practitioner. Because my insurance dont cover it and I will need to pay copay & also I used to sit in main floor forever and then I realized I should go to next door. Meanwhile no apologies received, the receptionist blame me by I am not telling them I dont want to see nurse practitioner.
Began coming here a few years back, initially was a great office, had no issues with the staff. But recently, I went through something traumatic and hard for me. In the latest appointment, when I walked in they said I had no appointment for today even though I came 3 days before and the doctor specifically told me to come back in 3 days. When I explained the situation, they realized a mistake was made on their end and the receptionist had accidentally scheduled me a week later than when I was supposed to come in. I do understand mistakes happen, but the best ‘accommodation’ the receptionist said she could do is just have me leave and come back at 1:15pm. Mind you, the original appointment was for 10 am and I had gotten there 9:45am and I live 40 mins from the office. I asked if there was anything that could be done and she kept saying no only can do 1:15. My husband then questioned why we had to change everything around when it was their fault and not ours. She finally told us to sit down and we’d be called in shortly. Once I was called back, the tech who took me back was nice but there was a separate nurse waiting in my room for me and telling me that my attitude was not needed and I need to separate personal problems before coming to the office. She was so rude and made it seem like I was the issue and I wanted to make a problem for no reason. They completely lacked empathy for the situation I was in. I did explain that I went through the worst week and I just needed this appointment. They had no compassion for my situation and lacked understanding. All I wanted to do at that moment was cry and leave the office. Overall, the appointment took 2 hours majority of it was spent waiting while the staff members who knew about my situation kept giving me weird and annoyed looks. Sorry if my trauma and their mistakes is a burden to them. This was by far the worst appointment in my life, especially at a time where I was already hurting. I told the provider when she saw me that I would not be returning to them and that I would never recommend them to anyone.I would assume that in an OBGYN office the staff would have compassion and empathy especially because patients go through extremely sensitive situations. But I guess not, either way I highly don’t recommend.
Today, March 29, 2024, I went to the location in Lake Success, Long Island for surgery and had a very good experience. The receptionist at the front desk wasnt very friendly, seemed tired, but inside everyone was very attentive. The doctors assistant, a young Asian guy, was lovely. I interrupted him a lot because I wanted to make sure my medical history was correct, and I delayed him on the way to the operating room with so many questions I asked. The doctor and all the surgical staff were very attentive. The woman who wakes you up in recovery was also lovely, very attentive and explained everything very well after the surgery, very empathetic. It was a very pleasant experience; by the way, the building is beautiful and super clean, the medical office is very clean. I loved it and recommend it to all women, no matter the age, and they didnt take too long to call me.
This was my first time having a mammogram done there, and can say the experience was great! The staff is kind and welcoming. Antonina was great comforting during this process.
This place is a scam. Its funny how they know to contact you for payment, but when you call them about actual concerns, customer service transfers you around the world just for you to be referred to the office manager, who also only replies in regards to money. They don’t know how to contact you back unless it’s for some kind of payment, how shocking. The doctors are okay but unless want long waiting times and to be charged a copay for every little thing then this is your place. And no it’s not my insurance as I keep getting the run around. I have wonderful insurance this place just loves to charge people without addressing their actually concerns and everything is “we have to examine you” for you to make an appointment wait 3 hrs and for the end result is “we will wait and see how your body is in two weeks” and every two weeks is the same response.
Go on yelp. They say it there. The wait time is horrible EVERY time- at least 30 mins even after the scheduled appt time. The communication to get results from an outside lab is never communicated. I had to call and admin team said i have to make an appt to review them. So youre forced to come in and wait again to speak to the MD. This is a poorly managed clinic. They have high turnover of medical assistants. The staff that actually see you are physician assistants in training who are there for a 6 week rotation. The front desk receptionist Eliana is super curt when paying. Lastly, they have an electronic system that literally spams you 20x to remind you of your upcoming appointment- phone call, text, email. No matter how great my doctor is, there are millions of doctors and this kind of management and administration is terrible quality of care. As someone in the health care field, I would not suggest this place. Everyone deserves the right to choose how to be treated as a patient. This place is not for me.
The waiting time is so long for this place. Everytime my ob appointment I have to estimate wait for 1hr and 30 min minimum. Maximum 2 hour to been seen. I m so disappointed. Wasting my hours.and sometime they don’t even let me see the doctor. Told me doctor is not in the office today. I will never come back again for my next baby.
Ive been going to Garden OB/GYN for a few years now. I havent had any issues with them at either of the two facilities that Ive visited. The staff at the New Hyde Park facility are friendly, the lady at the front wasnt horrible but wasnt as pleasant. I had an appointment for today and the technician I had was very polite, friendly and informative, she made my visit better as I had been nervous about this first-time exam. I just cant remember her name. One issue I encounter is their phone lines, they seem to not work properly. But they do respond via text which is convenient.
My whole experience here was overall disappointing. Although the staff was very nice, I was frustrated when I had to wait over 40 minutes just to see the doctor. It wasn’t until I brought it to the attention to the initial nurse who checked me in that I haven’t been seen yet that she looked surprised and confused that no one called me into a room yet. I was annoyed to say the least especially being that I had another appointment scheduled after this one and was not expecting to be there for nearly 2 hours just to get a prescription refilled. Unfortunately it doesn’t stop there; after I was prescribed more medication I was expecting to be able to pick it up the same day from my pharmacy. But after 4 days went by, I called my pharmacy and they let me know that they only received 1 out of the 2 medications I was supposed to be getting. I tried to text the 562 number to receive more information but the help I received was very dismissive and overall was no help, and when I tried to call the office I was sent straight to voicemail 3 times. I typically go to the Garden City location but due to the change of their insurance policies I had to come to this location; if it was up to me I would prefer the Garden City location being that I never had such issues over there.
My first time. Very nicely facility. Professional and warm staff. My sonogram tech was a doll (didn’t get her name) Will be coming here for my annual mammograms and Gyn visitsTheodora did my GYN exam. She was wonderful. Very sweet. Very efficient. Addressed my concerns with such patience & care.Thank you thank you!
First time patient. Scheduled with Dr. Culotta. After receiving multiple, daily confirmations of my appt for the week prior, I was kept waiting 45 mins before being taken in. Another 20 mins or so to see the provider-and without any explanation, I was seen by a Physicians Asst. I specifically made the appt with the GYN to establish a new record here. The PA was very nice but I should have been told before arriving that I would not be seen by the doctor and given a choice of whether to keep this appt or reschedule to see the doctor. They had plenty of time to inform me while I was in the waiting room. Also, there are two offices side by side and it’s not clear which you need to go to, nor does front desk update you on status of wait time. Not a good experience.
I had an extremely disappointing experience at Garden OBGYN. Although I was promptly taken to the exam room by the friendly medical assistant who took my vitals and did my pre exam questions. Waiting 45 minutes in a gown waiting to meet your doctor is not how I expected my first appointment to go. I did get dressed and walked out after being left unattended for so long. This lack of respect for patients’ time is unacceptable, especially for those of us who have tight work schedules and need to see doctors in the evening. It’s disheartening to encounter such a lack of empathy and consideration for patients who are seeking answers and care for their health concerns. The entire purpose of having set appointment times seems to be ignored here, and it feels as though patients are not valued. The constant barrage of appointment reminders via text and robocalls in the days leading up to my visit only added insult to injury. If the office prioritizes punctuality for patients, it should extend the same courtesy to its own staff, especially the doctor.I had high hopes of finding a reliable new doctor, especially one with evening hours to accommodate my work schedule. However, this experience has left me feeling frustrated and disrespected. I would not recommend this office to anyone who values their time and expects timely, compassionate care.I’m not one to really do reviews but it was extremely infuriating getting yet another text message in what would have been an hour into my appointment. Thanking me for choosing your medical office and wanting feedback. I only hope this feedback will prompt well needed improvements with the facilities time management
Their customer service is second to none. The product quality is consistently outstanding, exceeding my expectations every time. I will never take for granted that I am in the hands of greatness when I am in your office. Your knowledge, application and attention to detail to treat & care for your patients can never be underestimated.
I set up an appointment for my wife, and they messaged her for 2 weeks straight every day at 10:30am reminding her for the appointment, the day finally arrives and they make us wait for over 2 hours for a simple check up. Horrible service, whatever you read from the reviews its true. I tried to give them a chance but please save yourself some time and dont even bother with this place.
How hard is it to burn a CD? Well according to their staff only one person can burn a CD. This is my final straw with this place. The first time i went i waited for an hour for my appointment. Mind you an appointment is there so that the set time agreed upon is followed by both parties. The only party who followed this time is me. Second when you are referring someone to a different provider you would want to send not just the results but the images themselves as you have done this not just to myself but to others as well. The incompetence of the front end staff did not cease to amaze me there. I was told to go to the office to pick up the images by their customer service call center. I get to the office and i am told the one who burns the CDs is not there and will not be there for another hour. They then told me I was told to wait an hour before coming in and getting the images. Again the question of how hard is it to burn images on to a CD? Never again will I come to any GardenOBGYN location. I will tell others to stay away from this place as much as possible.
Very bad place. I dont know how they have so many good review. Must be bought. The bathroom is dirty no toilet paper and pee all over the bathroom. The staff hygiene is over bad. The pa is rushing since they are over booked barely answers your question. Wait time is crazy. We wont be going there any further. A lot more better option available in the city.
My appointment today September 7 2024 with Dr. Jenny Nunez was efficient and quick. This was the fastest I ever was seen. She also took the time to give me samples of Serenol and a coupon for my pre- menopausal symptoms and mood swings. I also want to give a shoot out to Dr. Devi who originally told me about the Serenol by bonafide, but she doesnt work there anymore. Overall I had a wonderful visit today.
I don’t understand what the point of an appointment time is when you don’t even get seen till over an hour past your appointment. The wait time is absolutely RIDICULOUS! I never leave reviews but I am beyond frustrated with this place. This is my third appointment at this clinic (within the past two months) and every single time I’ve been here I have waited over an hour. I wish I was exaggerating! You are literally just a number here, they overbook and don’t care about the patient. Definitely have to start searching for a new ob/gyn. I do not recommend this place AT ALL!
Very clean office; efficient flow; kind and caring doctor. My appointment was at 8:30. I was called in at exactly 8:30. Very minimal wait time, and just a very good overall experience.
Nicest personnel, pleasant clean environment, best doctor. You will have to wait though, because each patient gets as much time as they need and given all the attention by the highly qualified experts.
I HIGHLY recommend this office! Dr. Maria Culotta is hands down one of the best and Jesenia and Bri for Sono Have made my pregnancy appointments something I look forward to!! I swear my baby loves them lol.Thank you so much for taking such good care of us and wish I can take you all with me for the delivery xo Yuli & BABY Hope!
Absolutely love the practitioners here they are extremely attentive and professional I always feel I am getting the best care from them. However, the call center is horrible. These people have no clue about what goes on in pregnancy and what may classify as a possible emergency. They don’t consult nurses or physicians when you call with a concern nor do they let you speak to anyone at the office. Extremely upsetting when you are calling with a concern that should be addressed by a practitioner. If not for the call center this practice would get 5 stars from me
Do not recommend. Agree with all of the other negative comments. This clinic somehow knows how to harass patients for payment (although total visit shouldve been covered by insurance), but will forget how to communicate when it comes to any test/lab results. When I called back to dispute my balance owed, they doubled my bill.
I am extremely disappointed with the service ar this location. Despite having an appointment, I have been waiting for over 3 hours with no communication or updates from the staff. This level of unprofessionalism and lack of respect for patients time is unacceptable. The waiting area is uncomfortable, and the staff seems indifferent to the inconvenience caused. I expected better from a healthcare provider. I will not be returning and do not recommend this office to anyone looking for timely and considerate medical care.
Worst experience before I even got there. I made an appointment for 7/3/2024 at 7:30 pm. I got maybe 15 calls and 18 texts confirming my appointment and prompting me to fill out a form before coming and just reminding me of my appointment. I first thought the date and time change was a glitch so when I got a call from the office I insisted I made the original appointment for 7/3/2024 at 7:30. The lady was so rude and basically acted like she did me a favor by “rescheduling” me to my original appointment. This is where it gets worse. I finally a text confirming my 7:30 appointment. 5 hours later I get a text and email saying they rescheduled me to 7:15. Then another text 3 hours later saying they rescheduled me back to 7:30. Then another text the morning of my appointment saying appointment was changed to 6:00 pm. I ended up canceling because when I called the office she again insisted I made a 6:00 pm appointment. I have a feeling they do this to either make late fees or no show fees off people. Never ended up going and looking for a different office.
Had an appointment here , Dr was ok but I didnt feel heard. Encounter was impersonal, felt like she just wanted to give me a mediation and on to the next patient. They ran a urine test for me but the office sent out the wrong tube in regards to my test and no one ever reached out to me to redo the test or even let me know there was an error. I had to reach out and even then I havent heard anything back which is a very horrible first impression. This is not somewhere I would return . You also cannot get anyone on the phone . I would go in person if it was worth it but I will just be taking my business elsewhere.
Biggest waste of time and gas. When looking for clinics that dealt with infertility, I found this one. I made an appointment online and when I had to select what type of appointment, I choose other and left a description of why I needed the visit . The email text and call reminders you will get on a daily basis is insane, but reading the comment on other when reviewing an appointment is not a priority. I get there ,the very sweet PA thinks Im there for an annual. I inform her that my annual and mammogram are done for the year. She than goes talks to the nurse practitioner, returns and ask me if I want a breast exam or std test. To which I respond I already did those exams and dont wish to pay for them again. I ask her can anything be done for the reason I am there. Test to run something ? She says sure the nurse will be in here. At this point all I had was a pregancy test done which was negative and gave some health information. I get up and leave I felt as if my appointment was a waste who ever was there couldnt so anything for me so theyre trying to perform test I dont need to make the visit worth it. I will be watching my insurance claims just terrible! It is already hard realizing you cant have kids! Dont waste a womans time !
Very Professional staff, Parking, clean environment, courteous, was in and out in reasonable time. Definitely will be attending this facility again
I transferred to Garden OBGYN, I had to have a procedure done on 3/30/24. The moment I walked in I noticed the cleanliness of the establishment (which is major @ a gyn office) The staff was all very helpful, comforting and reassuring. On the day of my procedure, they seemed to be even more impressionable than before. I love going to Drs & the staff understands the importance of good patient care!Well done all! So far so good
I must share this because maybe a lawyer have to get involve because of wrong diagnosis,I call these ppl for my results and it was actually ridiculous to hear what they told me which was false I had to repeat the false diagnosis elsewhere getting correct results, this place I went I have been going there for more than 12 years. So I would of been taking medication for something I don’t have seriously. They told me in the lab the results failed and then told me oh this is your results after few days.Up till this day I can’t get copy’s on anything.Ridiculous I will never go back there am very disappointed.
Would leave 0 stars if I could. Run by incompetents. Booked twice to see a surgeon for a procedure, both times the surgeon was not in for the time of the appointment and tried to have a doctor (who was not a surgeon) to see my wife. She didn’t need to be seen she was there because she scheduled a procedure. Once again I cannot stress how terrible the people here are at their jobs, I wouldn’t trust them with any medical procedures if they can’t even get their appointments correct. Disgusting.
Wonderfully kind and helpful Nurses and techs, nice facility. The radiology tech who does Mammography is wonderful! . Ravita who does the specialized ultrasounds is a true professional in her work and places patient care above all. Really happy I chose Garden for my tests, it was a good experience.
Everybody was nice . Made me feel comfortable. Just a little wait. But far as that everything went well . I would definitely go back . The receptionist seem a little bored with her job . Wish it was somebody more exciting in the front to be happy to do the job . Maybe it was to early for her but a Coffee will help
I have never written a review before n ur this is ridiculous. If I could give negative stars I would. This office is the same song and dance every time and this will be the last time I come here. One appointment I waited AN HOUR to be seen by a provider. Then I said to myself alright maybe they had an off day, so I scheduled another appointment early in the morning. Again I’m sitting here for an HOUR. They have no consideration for your time and the services are nothing crazy. Just get it done. I would recommend elsewhere. Not to mention the reception people are not helpful and come across rude. ( not sure about all there was two in particular. ) never coming back here again.
Update!!!! As soon as I posted this review, I received a call back about this review. I never received a call about my recent biopsy test results. But they did call me back to talk about this negative review. Still waiting for doc to call me to give meMy test results. ///// end of update //Mammography and breast sonograms are new to the new hyde park office: DO NOT GO THERE! just go to lenox hill radiology or somewhere else. results are slow to come in. their answering service ppl have no idea what they are looking at or how to relay valuable info. i have a cancer issue that needs to be dealt with and i am switching doctors this has been a nightmare to work with them. avoid this place, trust me read the other google reviews!!!!
Great service from the moment the appointment is booked to the moment you leave the office. The office is clean and peaceful. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. 10/10 highly recommended.
Hello! Clean setting, welcoming and professional staff. I am always well received and well treated. Thank you to the entire team at lake succe
Great service at lake success location, love it love it. They care, have all right tools and equipment to successfully go through with my needed procedure. Couldn’t have turned out well and above all. They have this new reminder system that works even better for me. No way to forget appointment, unbelievably good and perfect for me.Thanks for all you do
Nurse Shanice was very nice. Then I saw Dr. Santiago she was great, very nice. Very understanding and caring to my needs. And very thorough. I highly recommend this place.
Initially had a great experience as I had an early morning appointment and didn’t wait much. Dr. Santiago was great and my OV itself was fine. I was happy to find a new gyn after my previous of many years moved away. My issue is with my results. It’s now been over 3 weeks and I cannot get my results. I call and text and nothing. I was given the number for the practice administrator who does not answer my messages or texts either. As a medical provider myself this is extremely disappointing. Will be going elsewhere. Hopefully I get those results eventually.
My appointment went smoothly. I had no issues. I will be back.
Very Professional and clean environment. All the staff are beyond friendly and respectful. I’ve been on the search for the perfect OB, and this is definitely it. My search ends here at Garden OB/GYN at Lake Success. I feel comfortable and secure.
My doctor was Marie Culotta. She is fantastic. Really informative and answered all the questions I had throughly. I was pleased with my visit.
Ive been going to Garden OBGYN for at least 4-5 years now. Ive been to multiple locations. Even though I may not see the same exact doctor every single time I am getting the correct care. They listen to my concerns and answer any questions I may have. I have only experienced a long wait time 1 time. I definitely recommend coming to Garden OBGYN for tour needs. The staff is always friendly and helpful.
My recent experiences at Garden OB/GYN have been marred by significant issues that have impacted my treatment process. Not only did I encounter confusion and delays with the prescription services, but I have also faced prolonged waiting periods for crucial test results that are essential for initiating timely treatment. The extended delays in receiving test results, spanning over a year, are unacceptable and have hindered my ability to start treatment promptly. Timely access to test results is critical for making informed healthcare decisions and ensuring optimal patient care. The prolonged waiting times have not only caused unnecessary anxiety but have also compromised the effectiveness of the treatment plan.Furthermore, the lack of coordination and communication between the office and external services has added additional challenges to my healthcare journey. These issues highlight systemic shortcomings that need to be addressed to improve the overall patient experience and quality of care provided by the office.I urge Garden OB/GYN to prioritize efficient communication, streamline processes for test result delivery, and implement measures to expedite treatment initiation based on diagnostic findings. Patients deserve timely and comprehensive care, and it is essential for healthcare providers to uphold these standards. While the medical care provided by the PA and NP may have its merits, the persistent delays in test result delivery and treatment initiation are significant areas requiring immediate attention and improvement.
I love this place.I’m usually someone that has anxiety everywhere I go, but the staffs and everyone here is so nice and welcomingI feel comfortable every timeTheir customer service is greatI always prefer traveling an hour to this location than going to any other Obgyn(The Chinese PA guy is soooo coool)
Staff was very helpful and kind. One of the better mammogram experiences Ive ever had!
Dr. Linda and her staff were amazing. Very caring and understanding and they took their time to address your questions and concerns.
Everyone is professional and friendly. There was not much waiting. Great bedside manner
Absolutely garbage service. Why make appointments if you cant stick to them? Its been an hour and I still have not been seen. The receptionist with the blonde hair does not care to provide you with a decent response unless you ask her like 6-7 times.
The staff at this location are incredible!! Dr Maria was very patient, comforting, and informative with every question or concern I had! Brianne the sonogram tech was incredibly personable and super informative and showed me every step through it! This has to be the best experience I’ve ever had at an OBGYN and would 100% recommend!
My appointment was today, a very important appointment. I waited a long time for my babys sonography. and they called 1 hour before saying that the doctor had a “family emergency” and that he is not going to see anyone” and I remember that they already knew that on Fridays those doctors don’t like work on Friday and yet they gave me the appointment on a Friday knowing that the doctor does not work on Fridays. Honestly, this is an unprofessional place, I will change places and unresponsible doctors and staff!
Another over booked, understaffed meat market, this is what the medical field has come to,your just a number to them, why make an appointment when you still wait 2 hours past your appointment, this is a shame
This visit was like seen your old friends! The people that work with me are amazing! Elizabeth is like one of my best friends, always so helpful. She knows her treatments, procedures… I’m so happy walking out of her office? She cares! She really loves what she is doing and this is amazing to have a consultation with her! She changes peoples lives!!!!!I recently started see Linda, she is also nice.
Currently a patient there and I wish I had switched earlier when my mind told me to. Each appointment u go to, you see a different doctor and each doctor have a different option.Dont get started on the lack of communication and feedback from the doctors. If youre a first time mom, its better u do ur research because the doctors dont have interest in discussing anything or to educate u on anything.Forget about calling the office for anything. they DO NOT give you correct information. Even when u give complains to the office its like talking to a brick wall. You CAN NEVER get on to the office managerSince Ive started, I have only received one hard copy of my bill. Many complains has been made and nothing is being done to change anything. Im at the end of my pregnancy and still no changes.Save yourself the stress and go somewhere else.
Very clean and nice office. The staff and the doctor were very nice. They made you comfortable and felt cared about. Only bad thing was there was a little wait. Overall great experience will definitely be coming again:)
Terrible experience, every encounter was rushed and they all spoke at 3x speed. Just wanted to get you out the door.
The place definitely need better management -constantly messes up patients appointments. They call you text you with wrong information just for you to waste your valuable time and wait for hours in their office to find out you were never meant to be seen on tht specific day.The office manager is rude and interacts with a disgraceful tone. I had questions on billing as I have no co payments and I have always cleared all of my bills on the day of my visits for lab. She had no information she was talking over me and telling me “mistake happens” so reach out to billing. I have a complicated pregnancy and I’m working full time. They constantly mess up and expect the patients to come up with additional bandwidth to investigate and correct their mistake. Zero accountability on their end.Very very disappointed.
This office has very friendly and sweet nurses, and doctors. The front desk area is not friendly at all, it’s almost like you are bothering them.
Was able to get an appointment same day. Office was bright, spotless and welcoming. The doctor, PA etc. was calming, gentle and fully put me at ease. There was barely a 5 minute wait time. I would recommend Garden OG/GYN 100%
It’s been 8 weeks and I have yet to receive by biopsy results. I’ve called every business day for the past month and no one has yet reached out to me.
The staff and surgeon Dr Verga were absolutely amazing and demonstrated they care about your needs. I am very pleased with everything.
Dr. Mazlin is very professional as always. Today I met Andrea she assisted me my recovering. She made me feel relax and very supportive. Great staffs at this hospital!
Despite having an issue with being booked with the wrong dr than I requested, the office quickly fixed the error and was extremely nice with doing so. The front desk receptionist made sure to put a future note on my account and book my next appointment and I felt was being very attentive and kind. Was in and out within 30 minutes from check in to check out and had an excellent experience with Dr. Culotta as always. Love the New Hyde Park office.
This review is specifically for the receptionist ILYANA. I just left this location on 12/16/23 at 12:50pm. She was working in the surgical unit. My appointment is at 11:45 and I arrived and signed in at 11:43am in the first office as every time I visited that’s where I always entered. The girl at that desk told me to go into the surgical unit they will help me there. So I signed in and waited. At 12:25pm I noticed that so many patients that came in after me were being called in and I was still waiting. So I decided to get up and ask ILYANA at the desk how much longer of a wait do I have. And she then checked and sent me the registration form to fill out. Idk why that wasn’t sent to me at 11:45 when I checked in? Why at 12:25 when I got up to ask how much longer of a wait. And she said she couldn’t give me and answer and she doesn’t know how many patients are before me either. About five patients were called in from 11:45 to 12:25 and she claims that they have surgeries. ALL FIVE? That came in all after me? Ok. Then At 12:45 I decided to leave as TWO MORE PATIENTS that came in AFTER me were called in. Like seriously? And when I went to tell them I won’t be seeing the doctor today to cancel the appointment I spoke to the other girl at the reception desk and I’m not sure what her name was but NOW at 12:45 when I tell her I’m leaving she says she can check how much longer of a wait it would be. Why didn’t you offer that 20 minutes ago when I first came up and ILYANA was saying she doesn’t know how much longer or how many patients are ahead of me? BEST BELIEVE, this office has lost me as a patient. I have major anxiety with doctors and ANYTHING medical. I had to see a psychotherapist so I can overcome fainting/passing out from drawing my blood and having high anxiety from injections and etc. Waiting 1+ hour at doctors offices just take my anxiety up even more. I would rather you tell me the wait and I reschedule than I sit there anxiously! And then when I pass out in the room your office would have a bigger issue! You can thank your wonderful receptionist ILYANA who has no sense of customer service for that!Prior to today, I’ve never had a bad experience at this office. I’ve recommended my family to this office. But I don’t understand why the receptionist had such an attitude with me when she seemed to be the one to mess up? As I signed in on the sheet and maybe she overlooked my name or skipped me and until I went up and asked did she realize. I would’ve had such a different attitude if she took accountability rather than showing me attitude! Please hire people who genuinely care about the well being of your patients and office. Not people who could care less if your office loses a patient. Because I will never be recommending this place to anyone from here on after today.
My provider Dr Theresa was amazingShe was nice, thorough, great bedside manner, she made sure she answered my questions, she thoroughly explained everythingBest gyn visit I have hadThe staff was great and had great bedside manner
THE WORST. THEY DO NOT EVEN HAVE THE DECENCY TO ANSWER YOU! Texted and calls dont work. Goes straight to a call center. Very dissapointing. Speaks for the low ratings they have.
Dr Santiago best doctor, can’t get through to office which is so frustrating. Been calling for a week now with no resolution to problem.
The staff is warm & welcoming. The physician is personable and attentive.
I have had a great experience prior to pregnancy and now during my pregnancy with Dr Culotta, Santiago and Garima. They are very attentive and answer all of my questions and make sure I understand whats going on. They arent dismissive with any issues I may bring up and I feel safe and comfortable in their care.
Dr Culotta is by far the best doctor there. She has so much patience. She is nice and knowledgeable.
The office is clean and orderly. I was seen on time. The waiting room wasn’t packed. The staff were also so friendly. My main issue with the practice is their lack of follow up and through. It’s non existent. I’ve been a patient now for going on two decades. Since I generally have no issues with a once a year visit, I accepted the pain not getting any calls returned. Gradually I managed their lack of follow through by doing all my labs off site so I can get my results from the off site location. I also recently started getting my sonograms off site too so I could get my films and reports in an official/ professional manner. Now that I’ve started tracking a matter every 3 months the lack of follow through is becoming way too painful. This is not how the practice started so it’s so sad to see the quality of care go so far down. Now my mental health is suffering from the lack of follow through. Recently I was advised to seek another practice that just returns calls and makes sure your medication is sent to the pharmacy. It seems that unless you are in front of a doctor and they can bill the service, they do not work on your case. You almost have to make an appointment just to have someone call in a prior approval on a medication or a refill. This borders on malpractice. I’m not even sure I really have a matter than requires this 3 month follow up. Now that I’m going to start going off site for the sonogram, I will find out if these 4/year visits were just a money grab or a real issue.
Lake success and garden city are the best locations, well trained and friendly staffs. The doctor answered all my queries.
Pamela Keefer at Garden OBGYN is an absolute rockstar! She goes above and beyond to provide exceptional care and support. I cant express enough how grateful I am for her expertise and genuine kindness. And its not just Pamela, the entire staff at Garden OBGYN is top-notch. Theyre always there to lend a helping hand and make you feel comfortable throughout your visit. From the moment you walk in, you can tell they genuinely care about your well-being. Its no wonder Im willing to drive the extra distance to see them. They truly deserve a 5-star rating for their exceptional service!
My experienced was excellent. Everyone and each one in the staff were extremely very compassionate. Doctor Mazlin was the best. He explained everything and reassured me everything will be okay. Highly recommended this place. Thank you everyone.
Amazing care during my high risk pregnancy. Dr.Culotta, Dr.Santiago and Dr.Gonzalez are all wonderful.
I usually dont go base on reviews because I know ppl are super judgie.. However, I should have listened to the reviews..The girl who took my blood pressure and the lady who took drew blood, were the nicest ppl in that office.. The nurse and the ultra sound lady were super dry. They said atleast 3 words to me.. Being a newly prego, I was expecting more communication from the nurse.. She said nothing to me and seemed like she was annoyed when I asked her 2 questions.. Horrible service.
I came in today for a wellness check up and i will definitely be coming in again for my OBGYN needs. i didn’t even feel when Dr. Maria did my pap smear which was a first for me. i had to ask her again after my sonogram if she did it cause it was so quick and painless. the ultrasound tech was also very gentle. all the staff were polite and made me comfortable. i would recommend slotting about an hour and half of your time to accommodate wait times. the facility was very clean, modern, and well kept
I truly lucked out when a friend referred me to Garden OB. I was about 11wks when I started with them & now just a few short days till I’m due. Every experience has been great. The facility itself is decorated nicely & welcoming with comfort in mind. All rooms & bathrooms are always very clean. The staff themselves are warm, welcoming & professional. The sono techs are knowledgeable & friendly. I see Dr. Culotta & she’s also very awesome. She’s warm, she listens & it’s easy to feel comfortable with her. Truly the only negative is that she won’t be the one actually delivering my baby boy. This place has been a godsend though & it’s super easy to get appointments. They don’t make you wait 3wks to see them. If I’m ever prego again, I wouldn’t think twice about using Garden as my OB 💕
1. Signing the liability paperwork for the anesthesiologist is not a ‘formality’, it is unnecessary, as ‘everything’ was approved already. Why require patients to sign it then?2. The anesthesiologist was AMAZING!!! LOVE HER!3. The Nurse Practioner was TERRIFIC! Great bed side manner, listened to my rambling, and comforting. You should give him a job.4. Dr was great!
I had a pleasant experience with Dr. Culotta through out my pregnancy. Even though it was only for few visits with the NP Garima Devi they were good. Except for the wait times, I have no complaints. Everything went well at this office. They were very organized and followed up with reminders for all my appointments. Definitely recommend Garden Ob/Gyn.
Dr Cullota is an amazing doctor. She provides individualized care while adding sincere compassion to the care. Shes been my gynecologist for several years, and she has been the greatest! Thank you for an excellent service Dr Cullota!
Excellent service ! Nice people I will recommend it to everyone! Thanks again!
Such a nice place great staff and nurses and I had great experience thank garden OB-gyn
Never on time, poor communication across staff and no sense of respect for the time of the women and families who come here. Go somewhere else. The one added star is strictly for the cleanliness so you won’t leave an infection at least when you get chewed out by work for being late
Very friendly, efficient. Office is very aesthetically pleasing.
The office was very nice and so was the staff, very fast and professional.
One of the best obgyn offices. I always feel comfortable when I come here.
If you want to be endlessly pingponged back and forth and not have your questions answered/doctors respond to you on the patient messaging portal you should come here. Every appointment is a different story. I got a call and a text to call and reschedule my appointment but to a different number. I call, the girl who picked up said the time I had originally looks fine. Because I know how notoriously inconsistent GARDENOBGYN has always been, I decided to shoot a text to that number letting them know that I had called and that I was told the same appointment the text told me to change was fine. I get a text back saying that it wasnt, and that I need to reschedule for another day. What the heck?? Why are you wasting my time? Whoever is managing the systems needs to re-vamp the whole thing. Receptionists, doctors, everyone at G-OBGYN is never on the same page. Dont waste your time and go somewhere else.
Great experience from the first staff member I met at the reception desk to the doctor.. very professional and respectful of the person the provide service to. I will recommend this office to anyone.
Front desk staff was very friendly. Dr Teresita Santiago is such a caring, polite and professional doctor. She shows great concern towards her patients. Highly recommended.
I am pleased I chose Garden OBGYN. Today was my third visit, and once again, a very pleasant experience; the clinic is clean and well-organized, and the staff is friendly and efficient. Dr. Culotta is kind, gentle, and simply a lovely person.
Great Personnel. Very friendly and polite
I really loved this place, all female staff. My doctor was very comforting and she also ask me if the intern who was with her was able to stay in the room with us , I accepted. My only complaint is the wait. After I got my diagnosis I had to get blood work done , I was instructed to sit in the big red chair. I waited about 15 mins because my chart was Misplaced, the girls informed me and apologized , they were very sweet. Nothing to get mad over
Worst establishment Ive ever been to. The staff have no respect or consideration for their patients. The receptionists are rude and could care less about their job. The doctors are careless and incompetent.
My Ob/Gyn of 17 years ghosted practice. I booked my appointment the night before so I honestly didn’t know what to expect. I arrived on time and had to re-register because the pre- registration wasn’t showing on their end.I was moved to the back to take my stats and social history after about a 20 mins wait but in the back I waited for about 30 mins to see the nurse practitioner.I was scheduled to see “ Frankie Batiste” but then Dr.Nicole P came in. She was warm and friendly. Made me feel at ease. She explained everything she was doing step-by-step and was super gentle in the process. So happy that she took care of me today as I had to have a courageous conversation about an intimate issue but she attentively received the info and then gave her expert advice. So glad I found her and this practice. I will def be back.
Where is the negative star located???This entire group is horrible! I initially went to the Garden city location and I did not like the staff or the wait time. Recently they opened a location in Cedarhurst. I was so excited, one it was very close to my home and two I thought just maybe it would be much better than garden city. To my disappointment it wasn’t!! They kept me waiting when there were no other clients in there and I could hear them just socializing with each other. I went for a particular issue and the nurse’s aid came in wanting to do other things than I was there for. They have no clue what’s going on in that location. In a last attempt to get a great experience I make an appointment at the New Hyde Park location. I made the appointment on the website and got a confirmation. I get there and they’re saying there’s no appointment. I show my confirmation and the receptionist proceeded to click everywhere on her computer and told me there’s no appointment. I went on to explain how could that be when I’m showing you the confirmation from your website. She then said ”she has nothing to do with the website she just works there!” There was no apology for my inconvenience or even to say maybe it was a computer glitch I’m so sorry…. But how do you work with patients who could possibly be ill and you are not empathetic! Never asked the reason for my visit for all she knew or cared it could’ve been an emergency. She then proceeded to speak with a Dr that said she had taken her quota of patients and she couldn’t see me.I then asked for my medical records…which I waited 40 mins for it to supposedly print. Needless to say after three locations I’m through with this practice!*****If you have an option choose anywhere else than this practice!*****
Never waited so long for an apt. Over 2 hours past my apt time! First and last time coming to this location. Believe the reviews. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
Lied about tests performed, given the run around 3 weeks after appointment....I had an appointment on 7/23 to check my blood and ovaries since I was diagnosed with PCOS a year ago. I mentioned no less than 5 times during my visit that I needed my insulin checked. I was assured by the doctor AND the phlebotomist that my insulin would be checked. (Not to mention the fact that I felt rushed and dismissed and not listened to when I mentioned mt symptoms, as well as when I asked about the cysts on my ovaries after my ultrasound the doctor didnt answer me after asking multiple times...) After results were posted a few days later, there were no insulin results. I called, texted, and messaged through patient portal for OVER A WEEK, and everyone said Oh its just not posted yet, let me get that posted for you. After waiting forever I finally got the office manager. She said Oh, they didnt test the insulin. So needless to say I was furious...they ordered a lab requisition so I had to go to an outside LabCorp to get MORE blood work done on August 10th. Appointment was 7/21 and it took until August 10th to get ANYTHING done that I needed.Fast forward to today, August 14th. The insulin results were available on the 11th, I messaged and texted asking for information on interpreting the results. I was told that someone from the lab would be reaching out to me. I have heard nothing and my message on patient portal has not been responded to. I am disgusted with how irresponsible this entire experience has felt and how dismissed I have been. This used to be an amazing practice before COVID and I dont know what happened. I am so beyond disappointed.
I received a call regarding a pap smear result said it was good and to see you next year, knowing that the test was unsatisfactory and that in those cases, patients need to follow up in 6 months to repeat it. The only reason I didnt even bother to call and complain was that I was not planning to come back to this facility. Therefore I suggest taking this procedure seriously would save lives. Patients shouldnt wait until next year to find out, only because you neglect it. Please call and say hey, Ms, sorry can you can back to our Office in 6-8 months so we can repeat it. Next time follow the guideline. Is prevention better than treatment no?
Dr. Casey was great. She has good bedside manners. She is very knowledgeable and attentive. I didn’t feel rushed and she made sure she answered my questions. She’s the best!
Quick and easy check in for my appointment. I was seen promptly.
I wish I could leave a zero for this. They called me to re schedule my annual check up and sent me a lot of confirmation text and emails then on the day of my appointment when I got to the desk this lady tells me she was going to call me to let me know they don’t take my insurance. She could not tell me before when they were calling me and confirming? They waited until I showed up to tell me my appointment is canceled. This is so disrespectful with people’s time. She wasn’t even sorry and didn’t apologize for being so incompetent.
I went here as a high risk first time multiple pregnancy and I had the WORST experience. Not only was the wait time insane, the front desk staff rude but they would make me wait in a hallway where I saw women coming out of the lab rooms crying not knowing if this is the hallway where they give bad news I had panic attacks every time I waited on the doctor. My first visit I laid on the table for 55 min in a gown before the doctor came in. It was so bad I ended up switching providers at 30 weeks and THANK GOD i did. The only good part about that place is Samantha the sonogram tech (she is absolutely amazing and should work somewhere that would better foster a great worker like her) Also they are trying to charge me for a June visit when I wasn’t seen until July-august ( I wasn’t even pregnant in June and when I explained this the lady hung up on me)
Dr. Culotta and her team always make sure I am taken care of in a timely fashion whether for gynecological or obstetrical appointments! The office staff is also very helpful in getting any information to and from my medical record. Every appointment is thorough; I have no complaints!
Dr Culatta is the best. She goes over everything, every little detail, and answers evey question. She makes you at easy even for a regular visit. Staff always pleasant, friendly and very helpful.
If I could give them negative stars I would. They almost killed me and my son with their completel incompetence and general lack of knowledge. I was straight up dismissed about my very obvious signs of preeclampsia that I was constantly contacting the doctor about. I ended up being admitted to the hospital with severe preeclampsia with kidney damage which turned to HELLP syndrome. Which forced me to deliver my baby 7 weeks early and he required a 2 week NICU stay. The lack of care or compassion once I brought to their attention what occurred was astonishing. I wouldn’t recommend my worst enemy to go there.
I would never recommend anyone to this OB/GYN practice. While the doctors are qualified and kind, the office management is horrific and disorganized. Appts are overbooked, and patients wait in the lobby and made to feel like cattle as they are moved from one part of the office to the next. Misinformation is the name of the game at this practice. Doctors are never available when expected. Dont come here. Would recommend Mount Sinai (also in Manhasset area) over this hell hole.
Don’t think we will be back for our 2nd kid here. It’s not the doctors fault. The facility is run so poorly. Wait times on the weekend 1-2 hours!!! This our experience after 9 months so I have waited to see if it improves. There is no consistency. They overbook. Value people’s time! The app is a joke, sometimes they respond and sometimes they don’t. What is the point of using that. Would recommend you try somewhere else.
All the staffs are friendly and professional. This was my second visit and I finally got to meet Dr. Culotta. She was very caring, professional and accommodating. I was nervous to change my gynecologist but today after meeting with Dr. Culotta, I feel good coming back here!
Worst doctors office I have ever seen. Long waiting time even after telling that I had another appointment within 1 hour, the receptionist said I have just checked in when it was 30 minutes after checking in and upon asking how long it will take in the office? She replied 45 minutes. Still thanks to her, after requesting her i had to wait another 15 minutes just to take my history, another 45 minutes wait time for sonogram and after that the doctors visit which was luckily within 10-15 minutes. I wasn’t even seen by a doctor even after waiting for so long and the PA Victoria Gardner was very Rude because she needed to repeat a few things to me which I didn’t understand. If they are overcrowded with patients, its certainly not our problem. I am never gonna come to this office again. They shouldn’t treat patients like this. The behaviour of the medical assistant, sonologist and receptionist were way better than the PA. Everyone is in a rush. If you cant handle the load of patients, why to give appointments to so many people?
Our first visit to New Hyde Park branch went smoothly. From registration (the staff was very helpful), no long wait (we are immediately assisted), and the sequence of one procedure to another was very organized hence we completed our appointment early and secured the follow up appointment with no issues.
I did a thorough search on places that assist older women who conceived via IVF for quality care and attention. At first I received that and all the staff were thorough with each visit. Things got complicated when I had series of abnormalities showing in the sonogram. Without divulging too much information, all of the test came back normal/negative results, yet unfortunately my own health was at risk. It was addressed once I was at the hospital but I’m utterly surprised that it was not at Garden OB/GYN. Again, I consulted here with the hopes that they would be attentive not just for the baby but for me as the mother, especially as a POC. I felt that my health was not a concern until it was a little too late.
They don’t allow you to make a later appointment but instead they make you wait 2hours when you get there before your even seen. Poor service from receptionist. Totally unprofessional.
If I could give them negative stars, I would! They really screwed me over with their Billing System. I ended up paying hundreds of dollars as they claimed my insurance did not cover the services and I had to pay them out of pocket. After paying about $3000 in total put of pocket, they sent me a bill for $10, stating that it was outstanding from previous time. Then they sent me another bill for $500. They are committing fraud and I am very fed up! here do I file a case against them and get their license revoked and have them reimburse me for all their fraudulent charges?
My husband and I had such a poor experience at the Lake Success office. We went in for an initial appt on 10/22 for a procedure on 11/22 which happened. We had to chase down the office to receive our results that were available the day after, 11/23. After 7 phone calls over 5 weeks of hearing staff apologizing and ensuring a returned phone call, the dr only returned the call 7 weeks later to let us know that unfortunately my husband may have to get the procedure Re-done because it appears there was an error. Furthermore, he would need to get an analysis done to ensure what’s needed. When the referral was posted, and we contacted the office to determine where to go, no one could make suggestions. The option given was for us, the patient, to Google where to get the analysis done. SERIOUSLY? It is such a shame for patients to be treated this way Dr Tehrany. It seems as though, all that’s important is the pay form the insurance company. Well, we will make sure our patient advocate is aware of our experience.
Every single time I come to this location they are overbooked and have me waiting for more than an hour. This location is already quite the hike for me to get too and they make me come to this location and always have an extremely long wait. Today they had overbooked so many people there wasn’t even enough seats in the waiting room for patients. I have been waiting for an hour and 20 minutes so far and just had my blood pressure taken where I was informed that it would be yet another hour for me to be seen. When I explained that this is extremely unprofessional, I was simply told I could reschedule my appointment. This is unacceptable. After the 30 minute drive to get here and hour and 20 minutes (and counting) of waiting all they have to say is “you can reschedule”. Luckily this is supposed to be my last appointment at this location. Please do yourself a favor and do not come to this location because they do not respect your time or comfort and will have you waiting for however long they feel like having you wait. Oh and I ended up waiting a total of 3 hours to be seen. This is not an exaggeration, my appointment was at 5 pm.
Extremely welcoming, informative and reassuring environment. Staff is inviting and knowledgeable in treating patients with kindness and concern. All questions were answered and addressed. Once an actual patient, communication becomes even better and easier. I was a bit nervous because the facility seemed large and busy but the staff are excellent at checking in and following up. I feel comforted and reassured I will continue to get great treatment here.
Ive had great service while in office, the bedside manner of the nurses and doctor is wonderful and I always feel comfortable going there. My qualms concern the post-appointment service, especially lab results and obtaining them. Its been a month and Im still waiting. One, the phone number provided has never once answered the phone, and the texting option takes quite a while to reply and didnt even answer the questions I had. Two, I had to contact the office to obtain my health information, which in my opinion, the office should reach out to let patients know their medical records have been updated. I had been to this office previously and hadnt even known that they had run the tests they did, as I didnt know there was a log in, and that information would have been very useful and eased a lot of my own stress. All in all, a great office for service but there is clear miscommunication and a disconnect in contact with patients, which has been repeatedly frustrating and stressful especially considering pending health status.
The staff there is great! All the front dest and technician staff are very polite and friendly! The wait time isnt too long and office is always neat and clean. The only problem I have is actually getting through to the office, its very difficult to get the office and speak with someone. Otherwise, great in person service!
Unacceptable! Insurance Fraud! During my first trimester and first pregnancy, I was shocked when the first thing they asked me upon walking in was if I had considered an abortion. I had never even brought up such a topic for discussion. Its distressing that they would push that onto someone who never expressed any interest in it.Furthermore, they diagnosed my situation as a chemical pregnancy (a miscarriage due to extra or not enough chromosomes) and insisted on frequent blood work every three days, even though I had already miscarried, as they claimed. However, to my surprise, I am now 8 weeks pregnant with a healthy baby. Their request for me to return for a PAP because mine didnt work feels like a scam! They couldn’t even take blood work properly after they make you wait in the hallway for 4 hours long looking for someone who knows how to do it.This place needs to be investigated by the IRS
Worst experience. This was the first time I visited this office. I specifically wanted to see Dr Culotta, so I waited for an appointment in the New Hyde Park office. This was my first time at this location for an annual check-up for a Pap smear. Once there I was told that I would not meet with Dr. Culatto, but instead I would see a PA. An OB-GYN is an especially intimate care and I did my research for a physician I would feel comfortable with. For a new client to see a PA on their first visit without the physician presence is unacceptable and I was completely turned off by this. This is not a facility I have visited numerous times, but the first time I would meet a new doctor. I would not recommend this facility at all.
I was hoping this OBGYN works as it is closest from where I live but unfortunately the wait time was way too long.My appointment was at 330pm, now it’s 5pm.- I saw nurses running around, there were so many patients waiting at the reception area.- I was told by a nurse to go to wrong room and ran into half undressed patient, to which the nurse just said oops wrong room 🤷♀️- I had to ask every 20min when I am supposed to be called- now it’s 505pm I asked again when I can be done and out of here, she says you are on top of the list but She can’t tell when- 520pm I’m finally seen by doctor. She was quick and on point but didn’t have time to explain what my diagnosis meantOverall experience could’ve been better if they dont book so many patients at once
This was my first time at this facility and I was so happy with the way I was treated. Everyone was very friendly and supportive. I will be continuing my regular visits here. Dr. Collins was so gentle and patient with me. Thank you so much.
My annual visit with Dr. Culotta is like visiting a friend. She is warm, friendly and very thorough in her examinations. Her staff is amiable and professional. I look forward to my appointments which are very time-efficient.
Please note, this will be a long review because I believe every new parent should understand what goes on here prior to their visit. I will be as detailed as possible and hope no one else experience what my wife and I went throughI have numerous issues with this place. Firstly, they requested me (husband) to have a SEMA4 test for genetics. Was told to sign up for the portal to retrieve the results in about 2 weeks. I tried signing up and was unable to because they had my wrong DOB. So I contacted them via Kira? (Text messaging) and unable to do so because wrong DOB. I mean i gave them my ID and insurance card for them to scan into the system, how do you still mess up? How do you make the mistake of these things when name and DOB is the way healthcare workers identify patients? Meanwhile you cant get anyone on the phone. Then during our next visit they admitted that they had the wrong DOB for me. My wife had to get her test done as well after mine and we didnt hear back for 4 weeks. So, we did a walk in and was told Dr. ANDERSON would talk to us after our sonogram. Upon our visit, we were cleared and told we needed our second part of labs done. We come to the next appointment which is the second part just to find out we already did it. I brought this up upon my arrival saying I think we already did this, but they said this was the second part. The medical assistant pulled my wife aside and apologized and said that your husband was right, you already did it and sorry to waste your time. Basically. DR. Anderson did not fully review my wifes chart before developing the proper careplan. So, because of that they made our an hour anatomy scan sooner, the following week. The day of our anatomy scan they called my wife about an hour prior to the appointment to tell us to come earlier. We told them we would try. Our appointment was at 1500, we arrived 1450. We didnt get called until 1537... so why do you ask people to come in earlier if we have to wait anyways. Make my pregnant wife who is having a tough time rush and sit in the waiting room anyways. Also, good luck getting a refill for medication. The worse part are the medical assistants chatting up at the back while patients await for sonogram. So much chatting and gossiping. One of them tried to use a alcohol swap that was opened and placed on the arm rest. How do we know if that arm rest has been cleaned? Why dont you open the alcohol swap with gloves and clean the arm and discard it? I am truly disappointed at the care and service by this practice. They even make you fill out a HIPAA form to have your own medical records. They have no idea what they are doing. I truly feel bad for Dr. Culatta having to work with incompetent staff.Edit: after my review Kathy the manager reached out. I appreciate the office taking feedback seriously. I hope things can improve for future patients, dont wish anything negative for anyone.Updated 09/22/2022: refused to be seen at first due to balance on sccount. The billing was submitted as out of network and not in network. My wife was having cramping. Their billing department are clueless and I fixed the issue while waiting to be called. Wife waited 30 minutes in the room for a sonogram just to be told later that she needs a physician to see her first before the sonogram. Another couple have been waiting an hour in the room because the nurse practioner didnt know or wasnt told that they were finished their study. This place is unorganized and clueless. If it wasnt for her cramping issues, we would of gone elsewhere. We have decided that this is our last visit here today.Edit 2023: we ultimately went to another practice, but still receiving bills that have been submitted as out of network under another providers name, who we never seen. No one seems to care to get anything done right. You have to call the insurance yourself to get it re-adjusted. More importantly, the care have been better elsewhere.
This place is absolutely horrendous. They have TERRIBLE service and it is taking me over 2 hours to simply refill a prescription (after being on hold for 40 minutes). They take forever to respond and never actually get back to you. The people working the service desk are of no help. If you have Nina Velasco helping you, then you’re out of luck
I have 1 hr and 40 minutes waiting to be call this is insane why we make appointments it they not gonna follow the appointment time this girl in reception she doesn’t care she tell me you next give them 5 minutes and she say that to 2 other people she’s the worst this is the last time i came here i don’t care is i need another test i will not came anymore.
This location is much nice and bigger than the Forest Hills Location. Everyone was friendly and took care of me, their ultrasound tech was much more knowledgeable than at Forest Hills. I have to travel to both locations but I prefer this one
I went there for a regular check up, was told results came within a couple days .. after two weeks I started calling and all I received was a bunch of run around regarding my results. Come to find out the results I needed they never even did it , instead of calling me and letting me know they weren’t done, they didn’t say anything. They made me wait for almost a month when I could have went somewhere else. Very unprofessional.
Just had an appointment for a growth scan. Allison did such a wonderful job as my sonogram tech. She was friendly and personable. I really appreciated it since it can be awkward at times. She made me feel comfortable, which is important to me.
My appointment was at 11:45 AM. It is now 1:08 PM, and I STILL HAVE NOT BEEN SEEN!! Why schedule so many people and have them waiting like we don’t have lives?! Will be back to update this once I am seen to say if it was worth this long wait…*Update*I was eventually seen at 1:37 PM for an ultrasound, then waited to see the doctor until 2:15 PM. Dr. said he wants to see me again in 2 weeks, and I said ABSOLUTELY NOT! I will not waste 3 hours of my time when there are many other OB offices capable of managing patient wait times.Arrived at 11:40 AM and left at 2:40 PM. UNACCEPTABLE!!!
Had a wonderful experience and they calmed all my nerves.
I was here a few weeks ago for a growth scan and waited over an hour and a half from my appointment time for the scan.I am back again today for another growth scan and am currently waiting an hour from my appointment time for the scan. Still waiting so overall wait time is TBD.The staff themselves are very nice and welcoming. No issue with staffing. The issues is the way the practice books appointments I’m not sure if they are double booking or what exactly goes on to put you over an hour behind on a consistent basis but it needs to be addressed and fixed.
Doctor Gonzalez is very rude and the receptionist is never that friendly either. I had monthly visits at this location throughout my pregnancy along with my regular location at Garden Ob/gyn and Ive noticed almost every time I have an appointment I’m seeing a different doctor so I been confused as to who will be delivering my baby and I asked Dr. Gonzalez and he rudely tells me “unfortunately it’ll just be what ever doctor is on call for the hospital I chose” and I noticed on the list of doctors for the hospital I chose some of them I’ve never even met?? So I proceeded to ask him “ok even if I haven’t met the doctor they could deliver my baby”?? And he goes “yup unfortunately that’s how things are done nowadays bc it’s a team practice it’s not the old times” he was very rude and I find that extremely unsettling that a doctor I never met has the chance of delivering my baby it makes me extremely uncomfortable bc I don’t put my trust in just anybody. Especially people I have never met doctor or not and he is one of the reasons why because of his rudeness and inconsideration to my feelings alone if a “doctor” acts that way with you how could you expect them to care about your well-being? I sure don’t. The only reason I’m giving 2 stars is because the ultrasound techs are always amazing but that’s it and that’s all. Wait times are long, doctor is rude, if you’re pregnant DONT expect to meet the doctor that will deliver your baby according to dr. Gonzalez, receptionist and some nurses are rude as well. Not only that I was told I would only have to come to this location 2 times my whole pregnancy yet they proceeded to have me come to this location monthly which is an hour away from me. Also I am a Young expecting Mother so I realize I get treated rudely enough off that alone it seems like to me because the way they speak to you at this location is very condescending and I don’t appreciate it at all and will be writing a bad review because of it.
My doctor and her staff were very pleasant and listen to my concers
My experience here is always great !!. The ultrasound techs are always so nice, patient , make me feel comfortable , and answer all my questions .
The visit was great. Mea was awesome. I’m a hard stick when it comes to drawing blood. She took her time and found my vein. Glad they have Saturday hours.
Update: the response from ‘owner’ shows that this office cares more about their reputation online than paying customers who entrust them with their babies life and overall well-being (mentally and physically). I got a response on my review in record time but no one reached out to me! Typical! I am still waiting on confirmation of an appointment to escalate my concerns that I made on Tuesday. It is now Thursday and this is the 3rd time over the course of 3 months I am making the same request. This office is lucky I chose to only highlight a few of my issues and not all of them. You should not need months to attend to an issue concerning medical practitioners in your office. And, you should have a competent person handling these kinds of concerns which you don’t.Again, ladies run very far from this sad excuse for a medical practice. I would not wish this experience on my worst enemy.——I wish I could give this office 0 Stars. They are unprofessional, unorganized, haphazard and I would not recommend to anyone. The amount of stress I’ve endured visiting this office while pregnant is insurmountable. Save yourself the agony ESPECIALLY if you are expecting. My issues with this office have ranged from wait time of 2 plus hours to outrageous medical bills for which I was not responsible to conflicting medical information from providers within facility. My complaints went nowhere even with multiple attempts to escalate my concerns to someone who would be able to address my concerns. The office manger Kathy, who I was directed to continuously dropped the ball in regards to follow through on my requests to escalate my concerns, particularly concerning a doctor within the facility. She finally referred me to the owner who I requested to speak with, Dr. Terrani but he then referred me someone else ‘after reviewing my case’. Kathy scheduled two appointments for me to connect with someone via phone and no one reached out either time. I have yet to speak with anyone since my initial outreach in early February. Take my advice and run very far from this place ladies. It is not worth the stress. The quality of care is subpar at best and the office would be better run by high schoolers.
Honestly the worst! Ive been here for three different appointments now over three months the wait time is outrageous. They overbook their appointment slots each time so you walk in and the waiting room is filled with women waiting for the same time as you.Worse than the wait however is their method of handling patients. Each time Ive been here, Ill be waiting patiently and women will get called in for their sonogram who showed up after me. Theres no method to how they call patients. Definitely not a first come first serve basis. Currently Im sitting in the waiting room after having a 9am appointment . Ive watched several women who showed up after me go in, but chalked it up to maybe theyre having something different done than what Im waiting to do. Now a womanawoman her husband show up at 10 and are waiting in the hall with my husband and I. She goes in for initial weight, blood pressure etc and comes back out. 10 minutes later her and her husband are called in for their sonogram. As we have been sitting here almost an hour and a half waiting for ours.Honestly the worst customer service and patient care Ive ever experienced. Incredibly frustrated and disappointed. On a positive note (the only one I can find), they have some good nurses Ive encountered. Taylor and Reine were amazing and should absolutely be recognized for how amazing they were. Theyre the only reason I changed my review from one star to two!
Im only giving two stars because I like Dr. Culotta and the issues I have with the office are out of her control. I made an appointment for December 2022 and had made it in the previous year at my annual to see Dr. Culotta when I arrived at my appointment I was put in to see a PA without knowing ahead of time this is my third time having an issue.1. First, I wasnt told Dr. Culotta was no longer in Garden City location but is now in New Hyde Park and was put with a male PA for my appointment thankfully I caught it before the appointment. (November 2021)2. 2nd I made an appointment on a Saturday this past spring 2022 and was left a voicemail to come in earlier. I came in earlier and sat and sat until my appointment time which was when I was going to come originally so I came and sat in an office for 2 hours for no reason when they told me too..3. My December 2022 appointment luckily I was able to see Dr. Culotta that day after hysterically crying, getting unruly, upset and going insane on the front desk workers and office manager. It was ridiculous. My grandma was dying and my day just couldnt go smooth. This office is the worst. My insurance isnt taken by many doctors so it is hard for me to find a good gyno.As I see several other complaints here. This practice needs to figure out their office issues.....
This place is just the worse. My wife had an appointment at 10:00 we live like 30 minutes away and when we got here the lady in the front asked her to reschedule because they have a lot of people like come on, this is an appointment if you can’t manage the number of patient that you receive a day don’t take a lot, just make people waste time and fuel. Also the lady in the front need more trainer or education when talking to patient I’m just saying pay attention because one day is fine but this is the second time I see something that is not right. Hope nobody have the need to come to this place. Other OBGYN are good, this one is NOT AT ALL
Great office! I’ve been looking for a new practice to establish myself with and I’m glad I chose this one. I originally had an appointment with Dr. Culotta but she called out for the day so I saw PA Hannah instead, who was amazing! So friendly and answered all of my questions with professionalism. Looking forward to staying with this practice for a long time. As for the wait times mentioned in previous ratings, I had an 8:30 appointment and was called in before my butt even hit the waiting room chair. Maybe early is the way to go if you can manage it?
They are the worst practice Regardless of which office they send you, they never have respect for patients time. They are always over book and any appointment with them takes over 3 hours sometimes. To schedule change or make appointments over the phone it takes hours if not days for you to get hold of someone over the phone. Patient records are always a mess when you request any paper work they literally just ignore you. I requested paper work for my pregnancy leave and work which I never got.The new office is still underconstruction not ready to be utilized to my opinion, no covid signs posted workers still doing things around. The front desk not even wearing a mask.when you get to see the doctor if you are lucky to see one and not a nurse practitioners or a med student they just over look at your chart and say everything normal they dont even hear your symptoms or concerns. They are now also kind of enforcing you the hospital you should deliver to. If you want to feel like cattle and not a patient then yes I would say go there.
Extremely upset with this clinic. Made an appointment but still had to wait for hours. While getting my blood drawn, the nurse mistaken my veins with arteries. She was going to draw blood from my arteries. HOW DID YOU GET YOUR DEGREE? Waited more than three weeks to see my lab results, and no one from the clinic called me to inform me my abnormalities. I took on the initiative to call the clinic and asked to speak with the doctor. Hope my detailed review helped, so you do not need to go through what I went through.
No waiting the place is new and clean the personnel was nice. I did not regret to come all the way fromthe city
This is a wonderful practice. Wish I found them sooner! They are very efficient and thorough with everything that they do. The doctors, nurses, etc are very well educated/knowledgeable and always know what’s going on! I rarely ever need to ask questions because of how thorough they are in all aspects. I am a patient at the Massapequa office as well as lake success and can’t say enough good things about them. Front desk staff are always friendly, very sweet and accommodating as well!
I was waiting in the room undress for almost 2 hours for the doctor to come. After one hour I notified the nurse that I’m waiting for 1 hour she said she will check and never came back. There was only 2 patients when I arrived. I would understand if there was lot of patients. The place was empty. I wasted my time.
I absolutely regret coming to this office to have my baby.I consistently waited 2-3 hours at each appointment because they constantly overbook and never have enough staff working. The rules around Covid kept changing(which is fine), but they only enforce the rules on some people. They’ll tell you that you can’t have anyone with you for a sonogram, and then you’ll see somebody else have someone with them. They’ll tell you your partner has to wait in the car, with two other men sitting in the lobby in front of you. They say everyone has to wear masks, but there’s somebody in the lobby with no mask and they’re not saying anything. They said I might have preeclampsia, took my blood then forgot to have it tested until I pressed enough days in a row.The staff behind the desk clearly do not care about anything or anyone there. I requested the office manager call me because I’m fed up with all of this and she texted back saying she would call shortly but it’s been over 24 hours with no word back.I recommend never coming here. This is the worst medical care I’ve ever received, and I have left out many other negative situations that have occurred.
Needed to come back here and say overall I had a horrible experience with the surgeon who did my procedure. to this day i feel like he did not know what he was doing. I now have been dealing with many complications because I trusted the doctor. Please get second opinions because it’s not worth a lifetime of trauma.
Wow such a beautiful clean office. Dr culotta is wonderful. The entire staff at garden obgyn is so nice to deal with. Sonogram techs so sweet. Really a pleasure to go there.I was in and out. Highly recommend this office
I love Dr. Culotta! She is an absolute gem and has given me some of the best medical advice. The PAs always suggested that I get birth control to manage my PCOS symptoms. Dr. Culotta suggested diet and exercise as well as a book to read to help me with my healing journey. That is so different from any other doctor! She also suggested other helpful tests that can get to the root of my other symptoms. If you’re looking for a medical opinion, Dr. Culotta is great! My reason for 3 stars is because of the experience. The following was my experience:1. Whenever I arrive for an appointment, I have to wait sometimes several hours until I’m seen.2. The texting option is helpful, but the couldn’t schedule me for a different doctor in a different location when Dr. Culotta wasn’t available.3. Their phone system is not great. I have to wait on hold for 40-60 minutes just to reschedule an appointment if it’s at a different location.4. There have been too many times where I have had to be rescheduled because the doctor was not in or for some other reason on their end. I was okay with that until I had a surgery and I had to wait 4 weeks for a follow up because the doctor kept calling off. She is definitely entitled to do that, I was just frustrated that I was not scheduled to see a different doctor in a different location when my doctor cancelled.5. The PAs are great for giving exams, but whenever I sat down with them, their suggest was always birth control to manage my symptoms. I saw PAs for months and they were not able to give me any real answers regarding my health. I was sick of paying co-pays to have no answers, so I demanded to see Dr. Culotta. She gave real answers and amazing suggestions. If I had a unique set of symptoms, why didn’t they suggest I see the doctor sooner? Why did I have to demand to see her after months of PAs telling me they don’t know what’s wrong with me, but that I should just try birth control?Don’t see a PA if you need or have a diagnosis. For a PAP smear, sure, but not for a medical opinion. Make sure you see the doctor for a good medical opinion.
I had an appointment scheduled for 2:20pm. I received 2-3 calls asking if I could come in early. I told them I could not. They called again saying the clinician I was supposed to see was leaving at 2 and even if I showed up on time to my 2:20pm appointment (I was trying to say I would be a few minutes late), that I would not be able to be seen. They wanted to reschedule but my insurance coverage ends tomorrow. They were unable to find an appointment elsewhere as all of the offices apparently close at 2. The clinician I was supposed to be seeing had to leave for an emergency I asked why they didn’t have coverage then and why did they even let me make an appointment after the office closes. They said they did have coverage but only until 1:20pm.That isn’t coverage. If all of the scheduled appointments cannot be done due to someone having to leave early, then that is not coverage. Now I am out of luck as a patient who has enjoyed Garden for several years because of poor planning on their part.
Garden OBGYN deliver my son in 2018. However I slowly stopped going back. I’ve gone through about 4-5 doctors during my pregnancy itself, the staff drop like flies and you build a relationship with one doctor only for them quit due to being mistreated (and I know because I’ve built relationships in the short time they were there and they told me). And a lot of them happen to be black doctors and receptionists. I even checked their staff to see if the doctor who delivered my son was there and she wasn’t. I don’t want to go to a clinic or a “group” that don’t value their staff because it reflects on their patients. I’ve been mismanaged because one doctor would leave and the new doctor wouldn’t even know if I had certain things done so they would skip a step in my care or do it more than once. And I would have to explain things over and over again. It was annoying. Point is I needed more consistency so I went elsewhere for an OBGYN and I don’t regret it.
Nobody answers the phone to provide lab results. Wait time to book an appointment took 7 hrs via the Klara app after waiting 35 mins on the phone trying to book with a live person. Prepare to spend 2 hrs waiting between check in and triage. I was previously a Garden City patient and its just a bad at this location. They get an E for Effort!!
This facility was clean and the staff is extremely professional. My NP was amazing at her job and she ensure that I was comfortable throughout my visit. I am definitely coming back.
9 months pregnant and need a sonogram? Be prepared to sit in the waiting room for 2 hours after your scheduled appointment. Whatever time they tell you to arrive please look out for yourself and arrive at the EARLIEST 1 hour AFTER your appointment time. No texts, phone calls, or considerate “heads up” will be made prior to or upon arrival saying that you’ll be waiting hours. If you HAVE to go here, call an hour before you head over to see how behind they are, because no matter how far along you are in your pregnancy they won’t hold themselves accountable for extreme, abusive wait times. Unacceptable. 9 MONTH PREGNANT. Hold yourselves to a higher standard Garden OB/GYN. Staff was nice and once we were seen it went well, but c’mon, that wait time is absurd. From the other reviews it seems to be an ongoing issue… so I’m not sure how this isn’t the top thing getting addressed. It’s a major problem and unsustainable if you want to be considered a successful practice. What will it take to fix that for future mothers besides “identifying it as a problem”? Take action. Do better, please.
I wasnt going to leave a public review because the management promised to fix this issue. But seeing as it has been well over a month or two since this promise was made, I just honestly can care less about protecting the image of this location. My initial complaint was because I had come to this location over the summer and never got any of my lab results and I kept calling and no one would answer. I would call and no one would answer for 45 minutes to sometimes even over an hour. More than 2 months passed by and they NEVER gave me them or sent them via mail. I paid and wasted time going there...for what? Now I wait on the phone for 25+ minutes and dont even speak to a person. Why? Because they just hang up on you! This has to be the worst clinic ever. There are so many things I would love to complain about, but for my own privacy I will not touch on it publically. But what I will say is, this place eventually is going to get sued due to its practices.. and when that day comes-- the only people they need to blame is themselves. Because look at these reviews. How many people needed medical attention and you guys couldnt even answer the phone? What some people fail to mention is that some people are coming here needing immediate help. Antibiotics etc. that are crucial for not only recovery, but survival. And you cant even answer the phone? Why even run an establishment at that point. Cant wait to find another clinic.
Awesome OB/GYN experience, ladies were super friendly, office was clean. My appointment ran for a decent time given there were so many women. Ive been with thr same OB for over 10 years so switching to someone new was a tough choice but they made it easy!
Dr Mazlin is a great Doctor !!! I fully recommend him !! The nurses and staff are always so loving and caring. Best GYN office I’ve been too. Keep up the great work everyone!
I normally go to the garden city office but recently started going to Lake Success for about 4 months now, I absolutely have no issues with the office, the staff is great, my OB is AMAZING. The wait time is not bad, I am usually in and out but I do book earlier. I would say the early the better. Of course making a 5pm appointment would mean longer wait times because most patients come after work. They are open on Saturdays as well, trying to book an 8am appointment if possible may be your best bet.
After visiting this location for the first time I have decided to find a completely new OBGYN all together. It is impossible to get in touch with offices directly and even though I attempted to clearly explain multiple times why I needed an appointment it was still mixed up at my office visit. The PA who spoke with me did not have a very friendly demeanor, I asked her to compare results of my tests there with those done at a hospital the day before and she became almost defensive and made me feel stupid for having concerns and minimized my symptoms. The girl checking me out picked up her phone and answered a text while she was supposed to be helping me. I am a secretary and would never do that if someone was standing at my counter needing assistance. She was then supposed to be getting me referrals and setting up a consult, she had me waiting in the waiting room for 15 minutes while she was eating and seemed confused when I asked for the consult. I decided to not even book an appointment and go elsewhere if needed
My cousin had a procedure done today. She said the staff was very nice, and Dr Mazlin was very professional. This was her first time having any kind of surgery, so naturally she was very nervous about anesthesia and the whole procedure in general. Two people by the name of Nancy and Richard explained everything, in detail, and addressed all her questions and concerns prior to starting. Thank you Garden Obgyn
Long wait, more than a hour from appointment time. 1 doctor on
The staff was so nice ! Sam made my sonogram experience amazing as a first-time mom. She was kind, sweet, and intelligent. I felt like I had a sister in there with me. Especially with Covid and having to go to appointments alone, she made me so happy. Kaitlin also was very nice and quick with everything, but slowed down if I had questions. Its simple things like nice staff members that make troubling times we live in and the natural worrying from motherhood not seem as crazy.
I love this place… so peaceful and they move really quick
This has by far been the worst experience of any OBGYN i have been to! Besides the fact that you wait for over an hour in the waiting room I went there for my pregnancy and they made me come back to office 3 times and drew blood and never gave me any results.I had to call them asking for my results only to get automated voicemails saying to text them and after texting them still no response ! My final straw was when I had an emergency and was on my way to the hospital and my husband was calling non stop even after hitting the “emergency” button to get absolutely no response! We even sent text messages and there was no response!I would NEVER recommend this OB to anyone!!
The office and staff has deteriorated tremendously over the years. You can never get a live person on the phone & their other option is to text them which they take forever or never get back to you. Im 30 weeks pregnant and someone calls me this morning to tell me the office no longer takes my employers insurance. I’m sick of their back and forth since day 1. I believe they take on to many patients they CANT handle . It’s a mess.
Staff was so pleasant and made me feel relaxed. The doctor explained everything before and made me feel reassured after. I’ve been going to garden Obgyn for years in massapequa. I needed to have a surgery and the new hyde park office was the place I had to go. I would definitely go back to this garden Obgyn
Do not I repeat do not go here first time pregnancy and the clerical team is the worst. They can never find my profile or remember that I’m even pregnant and I have been going there every other week for the past 6 months. I had an appointment and it was cancelled without my knowledge then they wanted to reschedule me after I traveled 30 mins. There appointments are never on time you are always waiting an hour to an hour in half with no apologies ever. If you are pregnant run from this place they will Stress you out through your entire pregnancy which you don’t need.
I thought the Garden City location was bad with their waiting time, but this new location takes the cake! Had a 430 appointment for an annual exam and left the office at 7pm….expect to wait 45 min to 1 hour (in a gown in a freezing room alone) just to see a PA (not even a doctor) and then another 45 min to 1 hour to do a sonogram…extremely ridiculous…the staff is clueless and pretty incompetent..looks like they are double booking appointments or something…please work on efficiency..why open a new location if you can’t run it smoothly?
Just like many women on here have mentioned the wait time is horrible it really is. A 3 hour wait time at this location is not an exaggeration its reality. They schedule so many people at once, its pretty disgusting considering we are in a pandemic and the majority of their patients are pregnant. Clearly they do not care for the safety of others, they are just concerned with making money. They really do call patients that arrived after you have before they will even call you. During the 2nd appointment I had at this location I arrived maybe 15 mins earlier than my scheduled appointment, about 2 and a half hours later I still hadnt gotten called in for my appointment yet they were calling women who arrived maybe an hour after I did. The final straw for me was when the receptionist was conversing with her friend at the front desk for maybe 20 mins and her friend got called into her appointment right away. I approached the receptionist and asked her what was going on, why was I still waiting to be seen when all these women were called before I was. Her response was everyone was busy and the women who were being called in to their appointment were having different services done. I asked her why the hell they scheduled me at that time if they were going to leave me waiting for 2 and a half hours just to have blood work done, not even a sono. Sure enough I got called in for bloodwork not even 5 mins later. Also, just be aware of the mandatory exams they make you take while being pregnant. I switched medical offices late in my pregnancy because I was dissatisfied with Garden Obgyn, they are well known in the Nassau county area as being a bad medical office. When questioned why I decided to switch offices so late in my pregnancy by the medical staff at the new office I told them I was going to Garden obgyn they all made a face and said oh okay you do not need to explain any further. They really do have a bad reputation amongst other medical professionals around the Nassau county area.
Staff was super welcoming and nice, Dr. Culotta is super informative and very friendly! My visits are very fast and we got everything that needed to be done without any long waits or delays.Had to take off a star because during my last visit, as I was left alone in the exam room to undress before being examined by the doctor, a staff member came into the room, unannounced and without knocking. Didnt enjoy that!
Worst place to go to, me and my wife had an emergency & had to call no one picks up the phone. Called for 2 hours waited on hold for 20 min,We went for blood work and never got results,This is a great place if you want to go wait ridiculously long in the waiting room for them to do test that you never get results for and when you call for results or an emergency, they never pick up either, STAY AWAY FROM THIS crazy PLACEEspecially if you are pregnant and want somewhere that you feel like you can have a relationship with your doctors,We were sitting in the office for our results from the prior week and was told they weren’t there yet,Was literally told to call back for results cause she will not remember that conversation and will never call us back.We ended up having to go to the hospital. Thank you Garden OBGYN for the worst experience.
The worst experience I’ve had at any doctors thus far with both my sister and sister in law. Constantly changing appointments without informing , can’t get in touch with anyone properly . With my sister’s twin births , the office couldn’t provide us with a c section appointment until the very end of the pregnancy- I’m talking days before as my sister wasn’t able to walk at that point . I had to call several times a day to check up for updates . I would highly avoid this place if you’re pregnant.Edit : as if the service couldn’t worse , here’s the situation you will be welcomed to once your start coming here- I had an appointment on aug 13th at 12:10 which was 5 days after my delivery . At this point I was not feeling too well and really needed to see the doctors. I then get a email saying my appointment was rescheduled to aug 29th!!! I simply couldn’t wait that long after my delivery to see a doctor. I called and after waiting a while I got them to give me a appointment on aug 16th which is today and what do you know I get a email saying my appointment was cancelled this morning . I had a nanny scheduled to come in during my appointment because I have no one else to look after my 3yr old at home . So there this is what you will be signing up for
I have followed my Dr from the office in Rego Park, to the office in Garden city to this one. By far this is the one with the worst longest waiting time. I have been seeing my doctor for already 7 years because I like her. But if it was based on todays visit I would leave. My appointment was at 11:40. I arrived at 9:30 and left the office at 12:20. Not too happy about that.
THE WORST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE !!!! Do not waste your time here. They had me waiting to see the Urologist ,Dr Jamshid Tehrany , which knew i was there to see him , the nurse prepped me for a painful procedure and put a urinary catheter up me just to come and tell me afterwards THAT DR TEHRANY HAD LEFT ! I was in so much pain and to tell me the Doctor left because no one was supposed to schedule you after 6:00pm because he has to leave after 6:00 was the most UNprofessional thing ive heard in my life !!!!! My health has nothing to do with staff mistakes and him wanting to leave! Then proceeded to tell me to come back in 2 weeks to talk to him ! Are you serious???! This place needs to be shut down and told about
First, let me start with stating that as person who also works OBGYN, I tried to be very patient and understanding on multiple occasions and with multiple locations for Garden OBGYN, but enough was enough.1st. The wait time is unbelievable, I understand over booking and complications, but 3 hours for a 15 min appointment was just unacceptable. I really liked my doctor so I returned.2nd. When the initial doctor a patient sees is no longer with the practice, wouldn’t it make sense to call your patients and notify them prior to their appointment? Specially when that doctor was specifically requested?3rd. If a doctor is no longer with you and the patient calls regarding the plan of action, wouldn’t it make sense to have a provider actually look into the chart and not have the patient, myself in this case, come in for an unnecessary appointment and be charged a copay?4th. And my final strike. I called multiple locations. Left detailed messages so that a provider could please get back to me (I have had bleeding for over 28-30 days after being put on a BC pill) NO CALL BACK TILL THIS DAY.5th. I attempted to send a message on the portal requesting an appointment , got one replay and nothing back after that. It’s been over 5 days now.Needles to say, I gave it multiple tries. Sadly, I did like one or two doctors I saw but it’s not worth putting up with the other mishaps. All in all, the staff, not the most reliable, helpful or friendly in some locations. Except for the garden city one. They were friendly, understanding and accommodating after my first incident. Unfortunately, I have not been able to get through to anyone on the phone and so After two weeks, I am just giving up with this practice. SMH.
Eveyone was super kind and helpful! love an all women team, definitely makes the experience much more comfortable
Everybody so nice, friendly, and caring . The Dr is very thorough in explaining the procedure. I would definitely recommend to my friends and family.
Great treatment and bedside manner, very respectful people , first time to visit this office but it was great experience, I recommend it
Please especially if youre pregnant run!! Do not walk away!! This place is crazy!!! They told me my baby was nonviable and shrinking, even though it had a heartbeat and growing!! She told me sorry for your loss! She told me that I was 8 weeks pregnant 1 and 1 day and the baby was only measuring 7 weeks and 5 days!! (Which is totally normal!!) And she scheduleed me for a D&C after running my blood work 3 days apart and the numbers not doubling the way she wanted and she told me that the yolk sac was irregular. She even told me that she wanted to get the baby out asap so my pregnancy symptoms can stop!I went to a different doctor bc I had a lot of red flags, especially since I saw the babys heartbeat with my own eyes and from Wednesday to Saturday the baby grew in those 3 days from 7 week 1 day to 7 weeks 5 days. Thank God I did! The doctor i went to told that the medical advice I was given was 1000% wrong! After a baby has a heartbeat we no longer look for numbers to double. The doctor gave me a sonogram on Tuesday and said baby is perfect measuring 8 weeks 2 days. There was no irregular you sac and everything looked great! He gave me progesterone 30 day supply and told me congratulations on your new baby!Im writing this so anyone else who is given such information please please get a 2nd and even a 3rd opinion!! Especially 1st time moms! I left this office broken and confused! My new doctor told me I am so glad you didnt listen and go through with it! So Im warning others as well! PLEASE RUN AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!
I had to have a procedure done that I was very nervous about, but Dr. Mazlin helped me to feel at ease and he did a great job. He is extremely nice and has great bedside manner. He answered any question I had and even my moms questions through Facetime when I was at the office, which was very nice of him. I would recommend this place to anyone :)
Dont walk , run the practice is very unprofessional, every time I call to schedule a particular appointment they always schedule me for something else . I drove an hour to the Lake success location and I called a head of time and told the rep that i was running about 10 to 15 minutes late she said OK you can come . I arrive checked in and I told her I am running late , she said ok, and had me sit down for 30 minutes and then after 30 minutes , the rep (who was nice) asks me if i was their for an ann , which i was not smh , and after she tells me the doctor was leaving and that they cannot see me after 30 mins waiting !!! I came to this office for an issue and drive 45 mins . Not happy at all , this should not be accepted I will never recommended any one to this practice very UNORGANIZED , they never sched you w the correct dr or the appt time type that you will request for , its always wrong Dont walk RUN from this office
Great experience and my appointment was very quick.
There was an old bill that I had not been informed of until the day of my results from my DNC. Not the initial appointment, not the day of my procedure, but the day I went in to get my results.I was denied being seen by the doctor when I informed them I could not pay the amount I was quoted.I was later in contact with their billing department, who informed me that this should not have happened. We worked something out and I then went to my re-scheduled appointment.Upon speaking with the receptionist, I was informed that my insurance had terminated and again, I would be denied patient care. However, the receptionist spoke with her manager & they decided that since I was covered at the time of my procedure, I could be seen as a follow up visit should be covered under my previous insurance.I then went to wait 30 minutes for a doctor who would not tell me WHY I had these issues, NOTHING about what to do about this issues REGARDING MY HEALTH.Very disappointed!
I like my doctor. During these times, it is important that there is a connection even with these damned masks we have to wear! Be prepared to wait for a while, like a couple of hours or so. They see many patients throughout the day. It would be nice if they offered free candy but that’s besides the point.
I had a scheduled office procedure with Dr. Mazlin and the whole process was smooth. He was very professional and explained all the details before the surgery. After the procedure, he made sure I was feeling well and answered all my concerns. The staff was great from the frontdesk to everyone that assisted with the surgery. Genesis was very friendly and helpful. Dr. Ee, the anesthesiologist made me feel at ease. Christina, the OR Manager stood in the recovery room until it was time to leave. I am very happy with the overall experience. Thanks again for all you and your team do to provide great service. Definitely recommended!!
