Wife had a procedure in January. They demanded prepayment of $2600ish before procedure would be done. Objected to it, but they wouldnt budge so we paid. They didnt get their bills in to the insurance first so by the time their bills got in to the insurance wifes insurance has covered 90% of the bill and the statement they sent us (3/20/24) shows a balance of -2000ish. Fine, Im sure that happens a lot. Two weeks later and my wife has to reach out to them to prompt them to process a refund to get us our money back rather than them just paying it back as soon as they know they owe the money. It would be one thing if this was a small amount, but it was a $2000 overpayment cause they didnt get their stuff together to the insurance after demanding payment up front. Completely ridiculous. Also, the recovery rooms are too small to allow family back there, despite the recovery rooms being just as big as the room you wait in pre-op, which was fine for me to sit in with her.
Wonderful.
