After waiting 3.5 hours as a walk-in I had to leave to go to work. I made an appointment for the earliest time I could get which was made 3 weeks in advance. I arrived at my appointment 15 minutes early which was 5:45 am. I just waited assuming they were running late arriving for my 6 am appt. saw several people walk up to the door and to my shock I see a signed that says closed and May reopen tomorrow! No phone call no message and I rearranged my entire day around this. The sign said to go to an address in Cape Coral 8 miles away. Not only did I miss my appointment when I got to the new location I explained I had a 6 am appointment in North Fort Myers and was not informed in any manner, no email, no text no call. The lady was very rude and said everyone got notices I said I did not! Now there is a full waiting room and I am being treated as a walk-in!I will never use Quest again and recommend other labs to anyone needing services!!!
Always make appointments 6 weeks or more in advance. Had one earlier this year canceled via text the night before appointment because ‘it would be closing permanently’. It was open two days later. Booked another appointment for 6:45 am this morning. Received text last night canceling it again. Same reason. Rebooked appointment for the same location for tomorrow. Just got a reminder for it. In the meantime, went to the new location that is opening tomorrow. Person who came to the door was rude, disrespectful, unapologetic, unprofessional. Said I didn’t have a confirmation for tomorrow. Wouldn’t look at my phone to verify. Did not care that I and others were inconvenienced again. Switching to LabCorp for my next appointment. North Fort Myers has Horrible staff and Horrible customer service.
Please NEVER come here. Even if it is the only Quest in the area with appointments available. It is not worth it. I had 3 people to try to find my vein resulting in the man sitting behind the front desk finding it. Not the 2 people taking blood on the job that should be qualified enough to do it. They were not kind, considerate, or understanding when I looked visibly upset watching them move and poke a needle around in my arm. This is the first time I have ever encountered healthcare workers that did not care about the well-being of the patient. I hope they reconsider their profession as vulnerable people are putting their trust in them everyday.
I chose to walk in instead of make an appointment, because appointments were a week out. So my wait was approximately an hour and a half until I got my blood work done. However, we are in the middle of a pandemic, so I completely understand the wait. I’m giving Quest a five star, because my nurse who drew my blood was absolutely amazing. I am severely afraid of needles and she kept me calm and relaxed the entire time and successfully drew four vials of blood in no time. Results come back quickly and can be viewed online which is great. I usually see my results online before the doctors even get them.
I would give 5 stars if is wasnt for a grumpy staff there, but I cant say bad things about their service. I had walked several times without appointment, of course I arrived at 6am to make sure they can take care of me, and they always do. They are fast, efficient and professional, except for the grumpy one. But again, we are in a pandemic and shes trying her best to keep everyone safe following the CDC guidelines. I will be there tomorrow again. LOL!
Rude employees! I have never been spoken to so rudely or felt so unimportant by any establishment! I needed a last minute lab for surgery. Nope! Didn’t happen because I didn’t have an appointment. My husband walked right in on a different day (same staff) and got right in without an appointment. They told him “we don’t usually do this but for you, we will”. Really? Why?I will never go to Quest again!Job requirement for Quest—-you have to be rude to people.
I am very understanding of the Covid-19 pandemic and the need to take proper precautions. With this in mind, I checked this Quests website for special instructions. The website indicated walk-ins welcome. I took it one step further and called this locations number. The automated message again indicated walk-ins welcome and provided the precautions required. Upon arrive, I was very RUDELY advised that the facility is appointment only. This extremely RUDE receptionist gave no explanation as to why the website and auto message state differently - I was nothing more than a thorn in her side. I have used this facility for years, everyone is usually quite kind, with the exception of this woman. Unable to provide her name as she was wearing the required PPE. Now, trying to schedule an appointment - forget it. First available is more than a week out. I am extraordinarily disappointed. If my insurance would cover another testing facility, I would be there.
I did have to make an appointment and to get an early one i did have to wait a week so I could go while fasting, but I was in and out in less than 10 minutes and the lady got the vein on the first try so it was easy. If ever have problems I will change the rating, but so far so good. I got there before my appointment and was done before my appointment time came around so that was great.
Cant speak to a human all run by computer. They call and cancel and the computer speaks in a way you cant enderstand anything. I will never go there again they get a zero from me. I would rather get teeth pulled than try to make an appointment with them. No customer service at all. Its like a dog mill. I never went to such a horrible place. Go to get labs at a hospital. This place sucks.
My husband had lab orders, he went early here on his day off, before 7am but the employee sent him away with the number to set an appointment. Which we did just that, called the 1.888 number and set an 11:15am appt. The automated system allowed for the appt and stated that if we needed to change or cancel the appt a confirmation number would be needed. It does not say it is needed to keep his appointment. He did not want to change or cancel so the confirmation number was not retained based on the recording instructions. So at 11:15 he was turned away again because he didnt have a confirmation number that we were never instructed we had to have. So again we call and now no appointments for him there until next week. So we made an appointment at the DelPrado location nearer his employer for next week. He now will have to take off work to get his lab work. Do not rely on the Walk in welcome sign or even the automated appointment setting process. The staff at this location was quite rude to him when he was merely following their, and the automated system instructions after they refused him as a walkin. The staff needs some retraining and the system needs to be changed explaining that the confirmation number is REQUIRED and they dont accept walkins even with an empty lobby at this location.
First time going to Quest Diagnostics in North Fort Myers and I had a great experience before entering they have plenty of signs to communicate some of the changes due to Covid-19 due to Covid they can no longer see walk ins and you must schedule an appointment before being seen. I was greeted at the door by one of the workers that was wearing proper PPE gear which til this day I can’t imagine having to wear for such long hours. My temperature was checked prior to entering and the waiting area was set up to where everyone will remain 6ft apart from each other. The tech that drew my blood was great and handle me with care I’ll admit I’m the biggest baby when it comes to getting my blood drawn. Special thanks to everyone there especially the one that greeted me at the door she was so sweet and to the lady that drew my blood as well. You ladies rock keep doing what you do and stay healthy! I appreciate all that you did. I hope not to visit again anytime soon but if I did I would definitely choose this location.
Just went this morning March 11 and was treated very rude, the lady told me they were appointment only and had been since November. When I told hes she was full of crapy because I was there just last month as a walking she had no response. But to repeat her appointment only, so I showed her the website and how it doesnt say that and she just gave me a blank dumb look. I refuse to use them ever again . They also keep sending me a bill every week that I paid the day of service.
Had an appt for Saturday @ 9:00, waited till 10:00 for someone to draw my blood. Employees are very rude, give the impression they would rather not be there & the clinic needs to hire additional techs for collecting samples. Will either go to LabCorp or draw my own blood at home!!! NOTreturning to QUEST Lbs!!!
We went to the North Fort Myers Quest without an appointment today. The person came to the door and told my husband to stay there, that he needed to get his temperature taken. She came back 10 minutes later and told him he had to have an appointment and gave him a paper with a phone number on it. I checked their web site yesterday. It says walk-ins will need to wait until there is an available time. After getting home, I checked their site and that is what it still says. I didnt make an appointment yesterday because the soonest an appointment was available was Oct. 29th. We waited until late morning to go, thinking that we would miss the morning rush. My husband had not eaten. BTW, there was nothing on the door that stated you must have an appointment. The girl at Quest was not at all friendly. Said you have to have an appointment, gave him the paper, closed the door and locked it! Very poor system of operation!
I wish I could remember the girls name that helped me as she was wonderful - so sorry! From the time I walked in the door to walking back out was approximately 10-15 minutes. She did a wonderful job walking me through each step & keeping my nerves distracted by making small talk. She took several vials of blood - it was literally painless. Typically when Ive had blood taken in the past at other places I have bruising for several says after & I was left with none. Great experience!!
The lady that works front desk is always very rude. I got there at 3 & my wait time was supposedly 5 minutes. I finally get called 40 minutes later and was told at 3:40 that they were closed &i would have to come back tomorrow at 6am. The website says they close at 4 & i was not the only person she was rude to. Ill never come here again &will be calling coorporate for the customer service from the lady woeking front desk. My very first time there i walk in &she tells me to sign in &i ask where? And she pushes a clipboard across the desk. ALL BAD REVIEWS ARE FOR THE FRONT DESK LADY.
If I could rate no stars I would. This place is so unprofessional. It would be nice if they explained the process as soon as you open the door they tell you to wait outside. It’s 90 degrees outside. Then when you do get a text they tell you to come inside and see the receptionist. Then they yell at you again to wait outside because someone needs to check your temperature. After finally going inside I stood at the reception desk and they told me to have a seat they will call me when they are ready. I thought the text meant they were ready!!!! They are rude and have no respect for their patients. Everyone is lost including the employees. I waited 40 minutes with appointment. I gave up and walked out. Don’t waste your time.
Was there for blood work, and I have rolling veins. I explained this to the technician, and because she couldnt get the blood out proceeded to blame me saying am tensing, of course I was she was hurting me, and saying I wasnt breathing right. I explained that I had anxiety, and that affects my breathing, so she said since I dont know how to follow directions that she had to stop and let someone start over again...How do you not follow directions. Shes drawing the blood not me. Let me state the lady she had start over had my blood test done in less then a minute with no problems ....It is not okay to degrade and humiliate patients. Am letting my doctors office know as well...Will never return to this location
I went here today to drop off a Fecal home test. I went to the Counter and said Im dropping this off. (You used to mail it in but Quest removed the return envelope although the directions say to mail it.) I was told I had to sign in on the computer... So I did. I asked if I could leave it now and was told no No! You have to sign a form! Im like ok... Give me the form. Was told No! Take a seat! I dont have time to wait just to drop off a stool sample! Was told again I have to wait! There were 2 other employees standing there so I asked if they could get me the form. No... Only the woman behind the desk can print it out! The women beind the desk said my Doctor wont get it and she wont accept it! All this over a Stool Sample! The rude woman behind the desk could not be bothered to print a form and in no way wanted to offer any help and would get to it when she felt like it! Very poor customer service from the woman behind the desk with a bad attitude! I left the sample that was labeled with my name on it! I hope someone in charge will do the right thing and send it to my doctor!
Got there and was informed that we needed to set up an appointment although it say walk ins are welcome. when we went to the site again it did not give an option for Saturday. So I told the person I wanted to talk to the manger. Needless to say we were seen today.
So me and my boyfriend went to go get his blood work done. First, the woman behind the counter was taking awhile to process his insurance info. She was having trouble with the info we were giving her. My boyfriend had his phone out on the counter. She got frustrated, smacked her hand on the counter and told him to put it away. Second, after we paid and he went back to go get his blood work done she wouldnt let me go back with him. My boyfriend is deathly afraid of needles. Its the only thing hes really afraid of. He tends to faint. Last time he had blood work done he nearly fainted. So I wanted to be back there with him to make sure he would be okay. This woman said I wasnt allowed to go with him. Her reasoning hes 22 I said to her hes afraid of needles and he tends to faint. And nothing. She didnt care. All because hes 22. I dont care how old he is. If someone I love is afraid of needles I want to be there with them to support them. This woman wouldnt let me. While my boyfriend was in the back in one of the rooms the woman that was to do the blood work said she had no problem with me being back there with him. It was her boss that forbid it. I cant believe it. I do not recommend this place if youre looking for people who are compassionate. These people were absolutely rude. Next time were going somewhere else.
I did not get notification that their policy changed and only take parients on Saturday appointment only. Ice been going there for years. I walk in on Saturday so they can self rightously notify me that appointments only. And there is a whopping 2 people there. Snobs in healthcare are not necessary.
They recently have permanently closed their location as of last week. I made another appointment recently and my mother in law just informed me today that they are closed for good. So I am wondering what other location can they open we need a quest in North fort myers. Last week they cancelled my appointment last minute like my time means nothing.
Staff was extremely unprofessional & rude, to say the least. Followed all instructions given to bring in my sons stool sample, and when we arrived the lab tech screamed (yes screamed) at me for not having them labeled correctly. (Mind you, no one explained any of this to me.) Sent us to a dirty (urine & feces all over the walls) bathroom in the back to re lable containers, didnt give me gloves or any way to handle sanitarily. They was also an elderly couple having trouble using their electronic sign in system. They refused to help them, telling them theyd need to bring in someone to help them sign in. Another customer had to help them bc the staff wouldnt.I will say that I was impressed with how fast this lab is, but we will not be going back due to how we were treated.
Last week (Saturday, September 5th) we got there 20 minutes before closing. The girl who came out said they werent taking anymore patients. She was very rude about it, and, with a VERY disrespectful tone said Soooorrrry! Today (September 12th) we arrived much earlier. Now, upon calling, it said they took walk ins. And the girl from LAST week NEVER said we needed an appointment!!!! We got up early, again (My husbands up at 4am Mon-Fri, and Saturday is the only day he can sleep in!) and, arrived at this location. Only to be told theyre no longer taking walk-ins!!! When I said Saturday is the only day WE can do lab work, I got Why? Cant YOU drive? (Not her business, but, we both need lab work done for our Drs!!!) I am completely frustrated and very, very ANGRY!
Yup rude! No compassion or sympathy. Cancel on the spot. They are not updated on the states recommends nor do they care. NO WALK INS!!! They will turn you away. We had an appointment but will never come back.
This place is great. No long wait very clean and Sue took my fiances blood (she is terrified of needles) and talked her through in no time. Sue is really great at her job. Thank you very much.
Avoid this place at all costs. Staff asks what do you want? In rude way, and are unaware that appointments are made online. Rude uncaring people .dirty waiting room. If you have to go to quest diagnostics, because apparently they have the Monopoly on this type of business, dont come here .Then maybe they can close this place down and the workers can go beg on the streets for scraps where they belong.
Made appointment by phone for family member. Wellness checked prior to entry. Everyone was courteous and professional. Technician expertly accomplished draw when other providers had previously failed.
The office smells of mold when you first walk in. They definitely need to address this when alot of elderly are coming to this office. I am highly allergic and was having an issue breathing while there. Office is clean and service is polite.
I have to fast for a blood draw and cant get an appointment at the number they give until afternoons, after 1:30. I walked into their office to see how long of a wait and she was very short and said to call the number and make an appointment. Very frustrating!
I am 66. I went in for an annual routine blood screening which medicare should cover 100%. My tests ordered were Comp. Metabolic panel, CBC, PSA, TSH. The lab tec told me I would have to pay a co pay of around $429 as I recall. My doctor listed the ICD code as Z00.00. which is for the annual tests. I refused to pay the co pay and left to get the tests from a self pay lab which cost $125 for the same tests with no insurance. I waited a week to get the appointment with Quest and I needed the results before my schedualed Doctors visit so I paid out of pocket. When I got on Quests website later I learned the tests should have been paid for 100% by medicare as I expected. I asked my doctor if the coding was wrong but he insisted it was correct and they never had a problem with this before. The lab tech at Quest said the coding was wrong but would not tell me what coding was required. I sent an iquiry to Quest to find the answer but got no answer after several days. For this reason I would give Quest N. Fort Myers a 1 rating or worse. A patient should not have to deal with complicated coding requirements. If I had a clear answer from Quest I woiuld change my rating but if you worry about costs with medicare Id be reluctant to go to that branch.
The woman at the front needs to learn some social skills. I volunteer for FISH and take people there all the time. She is rude, and so are several others that work there. If you are dealing with the public, you need to have much better skills than they do!!
This place is staffed by the rudest group of people ever. Its obvious they hate their job and people in general. The phlebotomist was great. Once again I had the dubious honor of going to this hell hole run by prison guards. Nastiest front office staff ever
I had never had a blood test before and was a little nervous. I wish I had gotten the name of the nurse. But it was quick and painless. Very nice and efficient office, too.
Dont be a walk-in. Even with an appointment, they were backlogged. I waited more than 30 minutes outside then found out I should have fasted so I have to come back. Appointment was 2:30 pm so it should have been early morning otherwise I would have been hypoglycemic.
Do NOT sign in using their website. I arrived at 8:30 for an 8:45 appointment and signed in via the website. As per the website, I waited in my car for a text. At 9:30, I finally walked up to see how much longer it would be, and was told that I hadnt signed in. To add insult, they blamed me, saying I should have come up to the door to check in.
Sue is absolutely wonderful. I have always been afraid of needles, but she is always able to make me forget about my fear. She is always so friendly and gets me in & out as fast as possible.
I have been to this Quest site at least 3 times with an appointment and have always been treated kindly and with respect . Most labs have trouble drawing my blood but this lab can do it the first time and will listen to me when I tell them the best spots to try . I wont go anywhere else!
Although their message states that walk-ins are always welcome , they are not. Make sure to make an appointment or else you will be turned away. June 19th
Staff is super friendly and my appointments have always been on time (Im a frequent flyer 😆). Im not an easy stick, but they never miss!
U was turned away at the door because I didnt have an appointment. I went on line to schedule then needed to change but they wanted a conformation number. I dont know where it went so I missed my appointment. Made a new appointment again cant get help to change it. Going elsewhere from now on.
They actually threw away my fasting urine sample when I dropped it off! Amazingly rude and condescending staff. Hidden procedures if not followed will get you rude treatment, closed early without notice.
The front desk lady was extremely rude and not helpful at all. I work in a place where we help people and if I ever treated someone the way she does I would be looking for a new job. I can not believe that this is the only place that is around to do blood testing and other medical testing . How could you possibly get away with that.
What good is an appointment if you show up for it and the place is closed. No notification that it was closed for a few days. Went to another one to try and get in and sat there for over an hour then left.
I’ve been going here for years, and always schedule an appointment online. Because of this, I’m in and out in about 10-15 minutes! Friendly and skilled phlebotomists! Highly recommend!
Id have to say that every time I walk into this place theres an issue from the front desk and shes very rude isnt there for patients care. If she doesnt want to work with the public then she should find another place of employment.
These people are mean as can be they dont care about your health or an unborn child. We were turned away even though we had a work order from the hospital for blood work. Corrections need to be done at the facility.
They just override the system and intentionally and do not help the walk-in. Is a shame they use to have a very nice system and a very nice professional and efficient staff before.
Reserved online for bloodwork, showed up on time. Check in was fast and easy. Face covering and temperature check at the door. Professional and courteous staff.
Couldnt get in. Impossible to make an appointment. Nobody answers the phone. Id rather pay LabCorp out of my pocket than use my insurance and go to Quest. Which is what I did. Got right in and got tested!
By far the best Quest location i have been to. Ladies here were on their game. Super friendly and was in and out in 15mins. Look f
I have gone here three times in the past because it was where my physician specifically told me to go. Two of those three times they did not test me for what the doctor prescribed.
Super afraid of needles.. The staff was friendly, and funny.. Took the tie to try to make me feel at ez with the hole thing..The short time i was there It was amazing to watch them Help People and go above and Beyond to help people out
They are never in a hurry. Front desk people are not professional. They rest of the staff are better. They Do Not LikePatients who are a HARD-STICK, Like Me......
I am looking for your fax number to give to my doctor who is out of state. Could you send it or post on your website? We need your services since we cannot go home at this time.
It closes at 11:00 but we got there 5 minutes before. Got in and out very quickly the 3 ladys there were very nice.
Only had one bad experience here in the many years I have gone. Phlebotomist hit a nerve in my arm (ouch).Other than that always a pleasant experience.
Worst place ever, so unprofessional they should fire every single person that works there. Awful, how can you have people working with patient been so unprofessional, arrogant and stupids. Needs to be a change in that office.
After reading reviews I was nervous they would be closed, but they were open! Busy, but did not wait too long.
Been trying to call them to get a fax number so my doctor can fax for a needed blood test have an appointment this weekend but all I get is the automated no way to talk to a live person wth
Been going to this location every 6 months for 4 years. It can get VERY busy here but I make an on line appointment and I get in and out in minutes.
Very rude black woman behind the front desk. Horribly rude and unwelcoming to patients. Afraid of how they will treat me in the back.
Made appt for 11:15 (earliest available), fasting, now 11:55 and still waiting, guess appts mean nothing!
After fasting and waiting in the cold 45 degrees for 35 minutes, I was told they are not accepting walk ins.
Went three time and there was a note on door.Closed. Went on line and it it gives business hours. Did not indicate it was closed.
Always a wait - even when no one else is there. But once in the back, theyre usually pretty efficient.
I was in line more than 35 minutes I cant talk to access assistance, very bad system.
Easy Peasy. Never a problem finding a vein to draw blood. LOVE THAT, also quick and efficient
Staff is very friendly. They work hard to get their patients in and out.
My son went to get his blood drawn and it was very quick and very easy.
All staff members chewing and snapping gum while conversing with patients. No sense of urgency. Quite unprofessional
Terrible customer service, I am a health care worker and I will never treat any of my patient they way I was treat today.
Terrible TERRIBLE ....service..non existent..character of employees..not customer care related...in fact they could care less...they talk inappropriately in front of patients...and are RUDE BEYOND BELIEF...AVOID AVOID AVOID
Awful waiting time even with appointment. Rude lady at the entrance.
This one lady that works here is very rude my daughter was making nosies cause of being tired and she tells my mom to take my kid outside
Was there in April and the front desk lady are very rude. Will never be coming back to this location again.
Sign on door that they close a 3PM, not 3:30 as shown on this web page.
People friendly. Great service. They don,t take cash.
Had an appointment and Im still waiting 45 minutes later.
Super friendly staff, I was in and out in 20 mins.
Rude...very poor customer service... Especially the front desk personnel
Easy access everyone friendly and efficient very satisfied!
I have some complicated labs and they always get it right.
What a terribly rude office. Will not go back.
Very professional and never had to wait long
Lousy - incompetent - unfriendly - find anothe place
Super rude and little staff
Never had a problem here
I was in and out very quickly
Staff is very rude.
Efficient
Great service
Very poor service, spoiled employees, unprofessional and they wanted to charge me for analysis that my plan covers. Very bad service!!!
They charged me and my insurance plan says my tests do not require a copay
