Excellent service!From the moment we walk in. The front desk person explained everything, Nurse did her duties as well, and Dr. Wasserman was understanding and professional. This time, my son had a broken ankle, and he wasnt in a big pain. They recommend X-ray to see what was going on.I have been in this urgent care couple of times, and yes, sometimes there are people waiting. You never know.Great dedicated professionals! Thank you!
I can’t say enough to show my appreciation for my care at AFC today! The staff was Kind, attentive and helpful! The receptionist patiently helped me fill out my information correctly. The medical assistant was efficient and pleasant. The Doctor wasted no time treating me and suggested the right amount of treatment for my situation without going overboard (just to be sure he covered all of his bases, which I truly appreciate!) My experience was so positive from beginning to finish that although I live in the Northwest corner of Stamford and have other urgent care facilities that are closer I will drive the extra miles to AFC Urgent Care on Main st. Norwalk whenever I have an issue!
Just horrible. Disorganized and rude front desk staff provide almost no information about the process. I was there first thing in the morning and for some reason they were already over an hour behind schedule. It’s just a mess of a place. And their provider doesn’t accept major insurance. It seems to be mostly a place for work physicals and Workmans comp. I would recommend going to Yale’s urgent cares instead. Much much better service.
All of the staff were so kind and attentive. It was a very busy morning at AFC but it was definitely worth the wait to get the care and help I needed. I would definitely recommend this urgent care.
Had to do a last minute DOT physical for my job. Expected it to be at least an hour wait if not more, but was pleasantly surprised when the entire process took maybe 20-25 minutes. The staff was very attentive and knowledgeable and made me feel extremely at ease. I would recommend all my coworkers to utilize their services in the future.
Honestly, i don’t have enough good things to say! I was skeptical upon arriving to American Family Care Urgent Care Norwalk division, as I have had trouble with walk-ins in the past. I did not have an appointment, and I was greeted not only with smiles and a friendly welcome, but I was seen super quickly! The doctor was extremely nice, helpful, and I felt listened to. She took care of everything easily and quickly but not too rushed at all. She offered if I had any questions to give a call back and she would be happy to help. I loved it here and can’t wait to come back to AFC!!!
We stopped as walk-in patients to get a simple vaccine for whooping cough so we could visit the new baby. We were behind one person in the lobby. We ended up waiting 45 minutes because all these pre-scheduled appointments arrived and cut the line! The reception desk made sure to collect the insurance info and fee without issue, but could have informed us we would have a long wait due to appointments. Not very considerate of our needs, especially since it was very hot and we told them we dogs in the car (with AC blasting and our thermostat rising.) We ended up leaving without the shots. Now I’ll have to fight to reverse the insurance charges. Not worth it at all!! They claim they’re convenient, what a joke!!
This was my first visit to ARC Urgent Care Norwalk. I had an allergic reaction that affected my eyes and was experiencing extreme discomfort. The entire staff was kind and attentive and the nurse practitioner was kind, compassionate and helpful. Great service, overall. Thank you.
This has got to be the most accommodating medical office I’ve ever visited. The way everyone worked around the fact my friend had MS and made her evaluation and testing possible, was amazing. We tried all her regular docs, and no one could do anything after 3:00 and were closing. These people are awesome!!
AMAZING AND CARING. This place is great cant thank you enough for checking me out to make sure I was OK. Very smooth process to check in. Doctor was amazing man who did my vitals was amazing and the lady at the desk amazing. Again thank you so much for such a smooth process.
The receptionist was friendly. I waited for 15 minutes, but the assistant was not lovely. The Doctor was cordial and explained my questions. In the future, we should prevent this nasty comment of certain employees who need Costumer Service classes.
Everyone is very nice. Very efficient and convenient. I do wish they would work on improving their check in system. I had a well visit today so check in was easy but I’ve had to endure it when not feeling well and I found it frustrating. However I do understand the need for it. Aside from that- great place! I will continue to use them!

Its my go to place even more so than my actual primary clinic. X-ray on-site, with actual techs to use it. Stitches done well. Unlike many other medical establishments lately, even the office staff is nice, and phones do get answered, calls get returned. Dr. Wasserman is always on point with diagnostic and treatment, despite the limited resources of working in a small urgent care.I beat up my aging body at my dangerous job and outside often so Dozens of visits over last few years and always a good experience.
Injured myself at work, to the point it was extremely uncomfortable and painful to stand, sit or move around. Sitting was most uncomfortable and the action of getting up after sitting was bad too. Instead of recommending to go home and rest, the doctor recommended go back to work on light duty and stand, with frequent movement to sit and ice. The Nurse Practioner, said their job is to get me back to work. I asked why would they send me back doing things that cause more pain, and could make it worse, and not recommend going home to rest and ice? She said “it won’t get worse”, to which I replied “but you are telling me to go back and do all the things that are causing more pain” she scoffed and instead of continuing to argue with her I walked out and am in process of going to an ortho specialist who knows what they are talking about. This place sucks and the staff are very rude(besides the gentleman who took my vitals, he was very kind). Find another urgent care that accepts work injuries, this one does not care about the health of their patients.
The front desk made it so easy to schedule our appointments for our Medical Certificates for the Department of Transportation. Very pleasant staff, informative and efficient. Kudos to the staff atAFC Urgent Care in Norwalk.
This urgent center would be my first choice in the area. Easy registration, waiting time totally acceptable. Care by provider excellent! Could not have asked for a better experience.
Placed my name on their list prior to driving down, quick check in and seen within 15 min. Staff listened carefully as I explained why I was there. Doctor was responsive to my concerns, asked pertinent questions, provided treatment options and suggestions for immediate relief. This was my second visit to this particular urgent care, and I will gladly return again if needed.

I showed up with my 5 year old daughter 5 minutes before closing on a Sunday and they happily saw her. She had strep throat and so we were able to start the antibiotics right away instead of having to wait to the morning to be seen and we greatly appreciate it! Shes feeling much better already!!! Good urgent care facility. Easy to set up an appointment and Ive been seen as soon as I get there. They have air purifiers in each room. The wait to actually see the doctor is pretty short after seeing the nurse. Prescriptions are called in quickly.
Dr Wasserman was very professional when giving me a vacc and Lee registered me quick and easy. Michael the MA was very polite.

I would definitely visit this AFC urgent care again. All the staff were very nice, especially the NP Kelly. She was very attentive, answered all our questions and ran thorough tests to try to uncover why I have such a high fever!

Made an appointment for 12:30 and received a text saying I’d be contacted 20 mins prior to my appointment.I watched from home as the appointment time kept moving further and further from 12:30, ending up at 1:31. I received no call so I left my house to get there early as I’m on crutches and can’t move quickly from place to place.Arrived at 1:10. I sat in the lobby waiting until 1:37 when I got a message saying they cancelled my appointment despite me having been there in the lobby for over 20 minutes waiting.When I spoke to the person at the front desk he said “yeah sometimes this happens” and offered no resolution.I got to watch every single person who “walked in” go ahead of me because my “appointment” had now been pushed to the end of the line.Only reason I stayed is because I already paid the copay.It’s past 2:30 PM as I write this and I’m still waiting to be seen.Will not be coming back.

Even though it was a very busy day (start of New Years weekend), was given accurate info in a friendly and welcoming manner regarding the expected wait time. Once my turn came I was treated with respect and was provided good care and excellent communication about my diagnosis and treatment plan. Would definitely recommend this urgent care facility.
I saved my spot for 3:30. I wasn’t called in until after 4:30 only to be told that they didn’t have an x-ray machine that day. I was told the front desk was supposed to tell me that. They were quick to take my co-pay and literally did nothing.
Fast & Friendly. Went for my DOT physical and couldnt be any easier.. wish all Drs offices ran this smoothly. Highly recommend Dr Parker!
I had a wonderful experience. I just thought filling out the forms was tedious. I am old and had never had to fill out forms on an iPad. I am sure young people have no trouble.I am feeling much better today!!!

Staff friendly and very helpful. Explained what was they were going to do and made sure I was comfortable. Checking is was very easy.
Staff was friendly but I felt like I had to do their work. I had to take a picture of my license and insurance card (front and back), I had to complete the forms from an iPad even though I had been there before. Even after taking and uploading the photos I then had to type in all the information. It took 20 minutes for paperwork to see a PA for 30 seconds.

Our experience at AFC Urgent Care Norwalk was a great one. There was a bit of wait time, but it wasn’t too bad. Everyone was friendly and helpful. The doctor was very nice and made our son feel comfortable and his wound was taken care of.
Registration was a bit difficult not sure if it had to do with the device used. Overall the Front Desk was extremely helpful and very polite. The nurse was quick on her duties (not rushing) but made sure I gave all info.. Doc the same. You are in and out. Best place to visit when you are sick.
I went in with a knee issue due to a fall. I was seen within ten minutes, had X-rays, doctor consult, and was out within the half hour (or close to it).A very good experience. The doctor was very good and explained what had happened/what I had to do going forth.Definitely a good experience.
I have no idea who gave any of these walk in clinic a good review. They say on the website to schedule your appointment but dont honor it. That is with all of the walk in clinics in Norwalk. I understand holiday time gets busy but I experience it even on a regular day. The wait time on any given day is 3 hours unless you stand outside the door when they open. Take the scheduling appointments off of all your websites and just state they will see you when they see you. At least it would be truthful

As a person who is also in the medical profession, I was very pleased with the staff at AFC Urgent Care Norwalk. Kelly (NP) was very kind and understanding. Very helpful. I was in a lot of pain. Kelly helped me look up a pharmacy that took my insurance. She even gave me a list of pharmacies around the area that accepted my insurance. Yi Lin Mu (medical assistant) was also very kind. Staff is very welcoming. I recommend AFC for your urgent needs.
The wait was a bit longer than we hoped for, but our issue wasn’t an emergency and the doctor and nurse or MA that came in beforehand were very nice. We were there for a laceration on my son’s chin. Dr. Wasserman had an excellent bedside manner and made my son laugh and all my son could talk about all night was how funny the doctor was. I was impressed because being busy and running around he could have been exact opposite. He even apologized for the wait, which although not really his fault, he acknowledged we had been there for a bit. This particular time at afc was a positive visit.

I would give this facility zero stars if it would let me leave the comment without. Made an appointment for 1:30 PM. I watched my name on the list almost reached the top and then move down the list several times. What is up with that??? They finally put me in a room that was freezing cold at 3:30!! The doctor never came, and I finally had to leave without ever being seen. There was absolutely no compassion from the front desk during any of this, and I was very sick. They actually had the nerve to send me a text message the next day asking if I would give my recommendation. Absolutely no respect whatsoever. By sitting in the waiting room with other very sick people for all of this time, you are more likely to get sick here than to get help.
I went in for a finger laceration and Dr. Wasserman and his entire staff were wonderful. I highly recommend AFC.
I got to my appointment early and ended up being seen early. Everyone is very nice and genuine. Super helpful! I was mostly helped by a gentleman named Amar. He was so chatty and kind and made sure I was okay throughout all of my testing. Definitely only coming to this urgent care from now on

“Saved my spot” online and was seen about 20 min after my scheduled appt. The nurse assistant and nurse practitioner were extremely nice, very attentive when I described my symptoms and very professional. Hopefully won’t have to go back soon, but will definitely go there again if/when needed.
I needed an occupational health physical in somewhat of a hurry and AFC urgent care was able to provide it same day. All the staff I dealt with were helpful and skilled at their positions. Special thanks to Kelly for her professionalism and warm personality.

Pre-Registered for visit in morning. Arrived 10 minutes before. No paperwork to fill out! Went in ahead of others who showed up but did not have appointments. Front desk, nurses aide and nurse practitioner were awesome. Really friendly people. First doctors office I have been to in long time that people actually seemed happy to be health care providers. They smiled and laughed!!
I had an appointment and I was brought in within a few minutes of the time. Everyone I met was courteous and professional. I was seen promptly and after my exam I received my prescription within a short time. I would recommend this location.
I had to come in for a quick check up for my eye. Sade at the front desk was able to squeeze me in and gave me a smooth transition to filling out paper work . She was very helpful and energetic! Dr. Wassermann was informed with what precautions I needed to take as well as gracious. The MA, Kasim was vigilant with my care , patient ,& reassuring! For allQuick and not so quick needs , I’ll be back again AFC .

Personnel were very professional and efficient. They asked me to explain to them why I was there and what I thought, they actually listened, which I found to be interesting-- we actually had a dialogue. The nurse practitioner was a great help and pretty much knew exactly what to do (I was on the downside of a bad Covid experience) . She prescribed some meds to be called into the local CVS which surprisingly were ready for pickup within a half hour from leaving the facility. Would highly recommend AFC Urgentcare to anyone in need of medical care.

Was seen on time (I registered online with “save my spot”, no wait!) by Kelly Parker who was so great and truly cared about my daughter and her illness. Kelly asked all the right questions and figured out what was causing the rash on my daughter’s arms and legs! Will definitely continue to use AFC Norwalk in the future.

Best urgent care of the area! The whole staff is professional, amazing as well as kind. My son actually enjoyed a visit to the doctors & that isn’t easy for a toddler. Only thing was the long wait time even though I made an appointment. Best urgent care tho highly recommend
I reluctantly went to an Urgent Care because my Primary Care Doctor in a Medical Group was not available on a Monday(?).I was definitely put off by the office nurse I spoke with in my Doctor’s office to seek medical attention at an Urgent Care.I am a Registered Nurse and knew I had a Urinary Tract Infection.So off I went and was more than pleasantly surprised.The sign in was a bit tedious , having to take photos myself of my insurance and Driver’s license right there in the waiting room but the care and the receptionists were great.I was the first one to be seen( one other person was there) and had a great rapport with Kelly the APRN.They quick tested a urine sample and Kelly met with me after to discuss that my urine was positive for a UTI, that she would call in an antibiotic and the final urine culture results would be sent to me.She asked if I had any questions which I did not and off I went to CVS to pick up my script!I would definitely recommend them for Urgent care based on my experience and would go back again if needed!
Super quick availability and the practitioners were very efficient.
My 1st visit was not bad. I didnt have too long a wait. Both Nurse and Doctor were very pleasant. The office was clean and so was the waiting room. The receptionist was also pleasant and very patient. If I had a wish it would be to receive some kind of printed information that says what my problem was and what to expect while Im taking my meds. But thats not really a big issue. I will go back in the future I need to.
This center again has not received patients when they come in 25min before closing. the work Urgent seems not to matter more than going home early. This happened a few months ago when I went over for a physical and the Dr literally walks passed me before closing and they then canceled my appointment that I had called in advance to confirm they could help me. Don’t waste your time at this less than Urgent care unless you really need to.
Wasnt to satisfied with the check in process using tablet,paper,and your text message. Then after all that the number to verify kept giving me more numbers which wasnt reading it. Wouldnt it be nicer to have a single reader system to do alot of it at a station area. Wait was minimal and the staff and doctor were very professional
I was recently at the center to bring in my son who had caught a nasty cold and greeted and treated with the highest respect for an urgent care center and I was totally surprised. Communication from the doctor and the nurse were excellent and my son who is usually intimidated by doctor visits left with a smile. Thank You
Do not come here unless you want to sit in the lobby for 3+ hours. You think you’re safe if you have an appointment? So did I. Wrong. I’ve never been to any place of any kind so bad I felt the need to write a review of any sort.
The staff and physician were wonderful . They waited for my elderly mother even though it meant they could not go home on time . They were kind and so patience . My mother always has received excellent care at this UC.
The staff was very helpful and courteous. However, I was hoping the doctor would’ve called in my prescription earlier. I know there was some concern about taking it simultaneously with my other medications which was very thoughtful on her part. Yet, I didn’t know about this until later when I heard it from one of the other staff members.
The team at this location as opposed to physician 1 location, who refused to take my son because they said they were over capacity at 5:25 p.m. in the evening, was extremely professional and made you feel like they care about the well being of the patience. Thank you for excellent work!

This is my second visit and although the wait time is sometimes an issue, the personnel are helpful, friendly and caring. Came in with a chin laceration and left with a much lovelier look and good care!

This is a GREAT clinic!!The problem IS they have you fill out the registration EVERY time you visit REPEATING the info you have given them.IIt is a disrespect of the patients time and energy and infuriating when you do not feel well!! WHY DO YOU HAVE TO REPEAT THE INFO ON THEIR TABLET EVERY TIME YOU VISIT?? It completelyundermines what a great clinic they are.

Made an appointment online. Showed up on time with a full waiting room.The staff was professional and courteous. Just short staffed.2 1/2 hours later I had my prescription in hand. That’s the silver lining with an ear infection!!
After waiting for 2 hours at Hartford Urgent Care and n Westport ( with an Appointment that never got honored) I went to AFC and was accurately told wait time and was in and out as promised. Care was appropriate and addressed the issue
I had a 12:45 appointment scheduled today I showed up at 12:33 did my check in and waited till 2:00 even though I had a scheduled appointment I think its pretty disgraceful. I am in the caretaker for my mother whos 93 and a half years old and can barely function, she needed her insulin at 2:00 I left the facility at 1:54 so that I can meet that deadline they called me at 2:15 to tell me the doctor was ready for me even though I had an appointment for 12:45. Its a good thing it wasnt a serious medical issue, very disappointed

I was suffering with the flu and still not feeling any better a week later. Came here for a recheck and I ended up with Bronchitis. The entire staff was beyond nice and the doctor gave me medicine and I am finally feeling better.
I made an appointment, and was clearly told that it was not set in stone but reflected the earliest time I should arrive, but I still had to wait for over an hour. So, 4 stars for that. In fairness, they were up front about potential delays. 5 stars for clarity and honesty. Desk staff was pleasant and quick.As for care, 4.5 stars. Efficient, nice and thorough. A day later and I am feeling better. So, thank you AFC!
I was able to make an appointment that morning. When I got there for my appointment time it took probably an extra 30 minutes. The staff was friendly, I thought that the $50 copay seemed kind of high but I forgot to check what my insurance was. The nurse and doctor were very nice. I ended up being diagnosed with strep throat which is what I thought I had. The doctor did rapid antigen tests for the flu, and COVID which were both negative. Before I left I asked if I could change the location of my prescription and the doctor said it was fine. When I went to pick up my prescription it wasnt ready. I called the urgent Care back a couple times that day to confirm if it actually went through and was told that their system was being weird and they would keep trying resending it. I still didnt have the prescription by the end of the night which was frustrating. Then I called back the next morning and found out it went to the original pharmacy. I was just a little frustrated that the day I called and had the appointment, that the staff couldnt tell me that it went to the original pharmacy. That is my only complaint but otherwise my experience there was good
I was the only patient waiting in the waiting room and waited over an hour before I was brought to the room to get seen. I waited another 30 mins and I left my room and told the medical assistance “I’ve been waiting guys and I’ve got to go back to work.” After I advocated the nurse practitioner magically appeared in to see me. No sense of urgency from the staff. Over 2 half hours of life gone.
This review is specifically for “Dr.” Yan. I come in for an appointment in the most pain I’ve ever been in with an abscess/infection on my skin that had been growing and worsening for a week. She took a look at it for maybe 2 seconds and prescribed antibiotics and said it would go away on its own. No explanation of what was going on and nothing to help the pain. The next day I ended up in the hospital for 3 days on so many medications and they said the infection was so bad, the worst case of cellulitis many of the doctors had ever seen, that it never would have gone away on its own and the infection eventually would have entered my blood stream. Had I listened and just left it alone because I was told it would heal, I could have quickly ended up in a much more critical condition. Don’t ever trust this clinic with something serious. I’m so appalled that there are people working here like this that just blow off serious cases. Shameful.
I was seen quickly and the doctor and staff were thorough and knowledgeable. I highly recommend their entire team. My care could not have been better.
Be prepared to wait at least an hour, even with no line, no one waiting in front of you, and even with an appointment.Turtles pace and can’t imagine how long it will be.
I visited Ms Browns at the clinic. Felt that she was very entitled and had attitude, I was very upset. Also when I asked her to provide a note for my employee excusing me from work for next few days, she said that she can only provide it for today. Yet when she hand me a note that she had to check for about 20 times the note said excused for the next few days. This made no sense. I think either she needs training as a nurse or sometime type of courtesy class on how to be polite- just felt she was very rude, throughout the whole process.
My go-to for care, always. The doctors have always listened to me, given me great care, and prescribed the best medication (when needed) for my ailments at the time. The wait time varies, but honestly, when having to, its worth the wait! Highly recommend.
As of now, this is my go-to Urgent care,. However after my last two visits, I am a bit concerned that their care is a bit too conservative, to the point of my not getting the relief I would have expected with from a more experienced staff.
We were treated promptly and professionally upon check-in even though we were walk-ins. We waited less time than originally estimated. The nurse and PA were polite and attentive. I was sceptical going to a walk-in clinic but they changed my mind for the better. I highly recommend them.
Made online appointment first thing in the morning and was seen immediately. Nurse took 2 swabs for testing. Intern came in shortly after to check my 11 yr old followed by the Dr. Whole visit took 20 min. Very happy with this place.
My first time visiting AFC. Everyone from the friendly front desk receptionist to the PA who saw me were great! Clean, and well managed. I felt well cared for and will return again if I need too.
On Sunday 8/27/2023 I visited AFC.The doctor I visited, prescribed me a medication. I went to the pharmacy, and there was no order. I called back AFC (after somme wait), and asked the receptionist to remind the doctor to make sure to put the order, and she promised. No prescription on that Sunday and I had a miserable night.The next day I called AFC and after a very long wait, talked to the receptionist to please follow up on my Rx. After searching the record, he said the doctor did not leave any record of an Rx.I think the doctor, while a pleasant person, was very irresponsible.I made an appointment with my regular PC doctor. The visit at AFC was total waste of time, and money.I will never visit AFC in the future.
Terrible provider xiao huan yan, did not fill out completely my physical examination, didnt bother to read the instructions completely. Eventhough i pointed out there were missing items and i stated i didnt want to return due to an imcomplete form. The doctor refused to sign a form that was clearly indicated to be sign by a medical provider. Of course office manager was not available.Also, she doesnt know how to do an Physical examination, she didnt bother to listen to my heart. I wonder which medical school she went. There goes my 100$ payment
This is a great place to go for urgent care- but not if you’re in a hurry. I waited 2 hours to be seen. There appeared to be only one doctor and no one seemed to be in a hurry. I needed x-rays of my hand and I knew they did that, so that’s why I went there. I would go again- the staff is nice and all- it just took way too long.
This was the fastest, most organized urgent care experience I’ve ever had. The staff was friendly and efficient. I would highly recommend this location!

Of course there was a wait but they did tell me the exact time I was able to leave do a bunch of errands they called me. Timing was just perfect. I came back got right in Dr. saw me right away. I was very pleased.
It would be five stars. If you didn’t have 20 minutes of paperwork to fill in and photos to take every time you go there even if your frequent customer you still need to upload all the information and then fill out the information it’s overload. For the sick patient. An overload of self serve.

This is low end unprofessional place. Waste of my time. I have been sick for 6 days with influenza symptoms, and wanted to get tested to see if I have virus, maybe blood test, maybe X-ray for my cough, maybe respiratory test - some young guy with heavy accent jumped into the room and told me that I am fine, and said that they do mot do X-rays or blood tests (even though the nurse said that X-rays can be done on certain days). The worst experience- seemed like I went to Burger King to get medical opinion

The doctor and staff are great. Dr. Wasserman is very experienced . Every time his prescribed medicine has worked for my wife. Highly recommend him. The only inconvenience is the wait time at the clinic. We have experienced 2-3 hours of waiting time.
I booked an appointment on line ahead of time but ended up sitting over 90 minutes in the waiting room before i was seen by a doctor. The whole process took about 2 hours for a simple covid test (which turned out to be -tive). The staff & doctor were friendly, helpful... but the whole thing was very frustrating.
Great experience! Short wait time on a Saturday morning. Didn’t wait long in the room. They did all the right tests for a sore throat, fever, aches. I was out, picked up my script and back home in 90 minutes.

This place is a disgrace to medical practices in Connecticut. I scheduled a very basic appointment for 12:30 pm. I was called earlier in the day by the facility and told that they didn’t want to treat people past 12:30 and that they will take me earlier at 10am. I ended up waiting hours for my appointment surpassing the original 12:30pm appointment. My wait time was so long I started rallying the other patients in the wait room by converting them to leave and go to their general practitioners. The doctor had to leave the room to go look up my ailment because she was not knowledgeable. This place needs to be shut down and the people of Norwalk and Wilton deserve better care.
In and out of AFC Norwalk within a half hour and with no appointment (midweek and midday). Physician very professional, great bedside manner, and a sense of humor. He called prescription into Walmart across the street. Easy breezy. Wish all medical visits went this well.

Recently brought my wife to AFC after she suffered a fall. Waited 90 mins to be seen, only to be told AFC could not treat her and to go to ER. It seems the determination to treat/not treat should have been made upon entering. Some type of modified Triage system could easily be implemented to avoid wasting everyone’s time and increasing patient’s anxiety. Need additional staff training!!
I always find AFC to give excellent professional care as needed especially on short notice. Today when my primary care physician had no openings to see me for a week regarding the accuracy of my home BP cuff he suggested I go to AFC. The staff was professional and patient as usual in treating me and answering my questions.
The doctors, nurses, and physicians in this facility have always been very good and kind. Today I went with my son having a severe asthma episode, because is not the first time I know the protocol, which is a child with severe oxygen deprivation has obviously priority. The lady at the front desk let 2 patients before us knowing of his condition, I asked her again, and she said, there were no rooms available and to wait, but she still let two more people ahead of us while I had my son barely breathing on a chair. Unacceptable, she lacked compassion and was very arrogant. We left for another care center and were attended immediately. The people you have at the front desk are the image of your practice.

Everything was fine. However, there was one thing that I did not like. That was the fact that they required me to give my social security number, which can cause identity theft.
I called my insurance to ensure my insurance was accepted and active which it was. I get to this location 2 different time and the receptionist there speak to you as if you are the hugest bother in the world. During one of my visit the system was saying my insurance is inactive, I called my insurance in front of them and was told it was active and I got the rudest attitude from this woman. Who kept saying well my system says you’re inactive so there’s nothing we can do for you here so you either pay for it and then talk to your insurance. Is this what you hear when you’re sick, weak and in need of care? And to hear that I would have to wait 3+ hours to be seen when I arrived at 4pm. Save your time and go to physician one.
This review has to do with the AFC online portal. I am absolutely thrilled with the consistently delivered first class treatment my family and I receive from Dr. Wasserman and his incredible staff. But the AFC online portal is a disappointment. I thought I was “scheduling” an appointment when, in fact, I was only wasting my time. Apparently, you can spend 30 mins uploading photos of your insurance card and driver license, filling in all the other details, describe your signs and symptoms and selecting a day and time to be seen. Turns out NONE OF THAT MATTERS. So if you think you’ll save some time at the clinic you won’t because it’s ‘first come first served’ whether you scheduled an appointment or not. And none of the data I input on the portal was available to Dr. Wasserman’s team when I checked in so they had to photocopy my license and insurance card, instead of spending it on patient care. Again, AFC Norwalk, and especially Dr. Wasserman, is in a class of its own but the AFC portal needs some urgent care of its own.
Wouldn’t take me even though i got there well before closing. Doctor told me to go to ER to get a zpack…ridiculous.

It was great service and a great place if you dont want to wait for get in a line to see a doctor. It was fast and they can get an interpreter online for a deaf guy like me unlike other places that doesnt offer any online interpreters.

My first time visiting AFC was Sunday afternoon. I thought it would be busy with a long wait but I was pleasantly surprised. The staff was great, they were very patient with me as I am afraid of needles. They were caring and made me feel very comfortable. The Dr was very thorough and mentioned he would follow up with me to ensure my antibiotics were exactly right. Highly recommend this place they have a clean facility and they are quick to get you in and out.
Staff was rude and inefficient. Doctor and nurses in the back were nice. But the receptionists were extremely unhelpful. I don’t understand why there are different wait times for covid related patients and regular patients, it doesn’t take long to stick the swab up ones nose. The lady here at 1-2pm lied about how many people were ahead, and gave attitude when I confronted her about it. They make an already unpleasant situation far more unpleasant. Overall extremely upsetting experience.
AFC Urgent Care is one of the most disorganized and frustrating enterprises I have ever experienced. My boyfriend and I went to get antibiotics for an infection he had that was causing serious pain. The wait was three hours, so due to Covid risk, they told us to leave and return for the general appointment time, or we would get a call back if a spot opened sooner. Two hours later we got a call and hopped in our car to return. Upon arrival, the front desk assistant only took our payment. Then she told us it would be another two hours’ wait at least. This is against their policy—that was framed on the wall next to the desk—that payment is due at the time of service, however we still had not received service. We left again intending to come back for the general appointment time. After waiting another extra hour past the anticipated wait time, my boyfriend got the call and went in for his appointment. The doctor was clearly overworked and hadn’t read any of the paperwork. My boyfriend was prescribed a pain medication and an antibiotic. Upon trying to fill the prescriptions, the pharmacy told him that the antibiotic had been on back order for a long time, so the doctor needed to prescribe another antibiotic. We have been trying to contact AFC to get a revised prescription, but no one picks up the phone and the mail box is full. The pharmacy is not getting through either. So far we have spent a total of seven hours of trying to deal with this through AFC and about $200 but have not yet been able to even take care of the medical needs that even caused this visit in the first place. I do not recommend them to anyone even as a last resort.
Always a good experience at AFC Urgent Care!! Only exception to being a 5🌟 is the ridiculous new system of checking in via tablet!!! Without that piece, I would’ve given 5⭐️ rather than 4⭐️!I find it tedious and unnessecary! As I was frustrated with the process, as well as it taking away the personal touch …. Not to mention, it feeling a bit unsanitary…. I’m sure they clean them in between clients but it just didn’t feel right..
This is the best urgent care I have been to. Wait depends on how busy they are but I have always gotten great care here and never waited too too long. Plus they have an x ray machine and they are just very helpful Im general. Love this place when Im sick and need a docs opinion without making an appointment. Other urgent cares in this area are garbage and I have only had bad experiences. This is the only good one I have been to and so it has become my go to
Left my husband waiting for over an hour while 5 people after we arrived went in for their appointments. There answering dont know when they arrived is that not your job? Immediate medical is based on first come first serve I mean really no respect or concern for peoples time. Im sorry you are working on a holiday but you chose the job so do it
Refused to see my 3 year old who had pink eye & a fever. We arrived at 4:35 on a Saturday (closes at 5pm). I was told they were “at capacity” and weren’t taking anymore patients. I mentioned their business hours stated they did not close for another 25 minutes and they should continue taking patients until then. There was one person waiting in waiting room for whoever they had come with that was already being seen, otherwise place was empty. My son refused to open his eyes because they itched so badly. I could not believe they would refuse service to a 3 year old because they wanted to skip out right at 5pm. Extremely poor service!
Great experience! Easy to park, greeted by professional staff, not a long wait before seeing the doctor. The entire environment was clean. The doctor was very nice and receptive, which can be an unusual quality for some doctors these days. Its great that they have Xray there, so its like killing two birds with one stone. I will certainly be going back there and would recommend it to anyone.

The process was quick , the waiting time was short. Dr. M.Wasserman was great! He removed easily a tick from my daughter’s leg. He explained all our concerns for the ticks and Lyme disease. This is the quickest we have ever been out from an urgent care! Great experience!

We had a flawless experience at this clinic! I brought in an out-of-town guest who became ill over the weekend. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and my friend received outstanding care from the doctor. I would highly recommend this urgent care center and will definitely use them again in the future.
I was taken back fairly quickly. The whole visit in general was quick. The doctor was knowledgeable and friendly as well as the rest of the staff. What really impressed me is that they called me a few days after being seen to follow up and make sure I was feeling better. I’ll come here again.

When your hours are posted as 8-8 and a sick person is sitting in your waiting room at 7:40, YOU SHOULD NOT REFUSE TO SEE THEM. Shameful. The doctor had seen too many patients already, is what I was told. They told me to go to the ER. REALLY? How about locking the door so a person isn’t waiting for nothing? But you’re supposed to stay open until 8. Letting people sit in the waiting room doesn’t count as being open. What horrible medical professionals treat sick people seeking care this way? First, we were waiting outside in the freezing cold (hilariously the first person in line didn’t try opening the door, but not hilariously the front desk staff didn’t notice us or usher us in). When we got inside, we all hurriedly filled out the necessary paperwork. Then, two others and I noticed there was no rhyme or reason to the order in which we were called back. The front desk confirmed this. Why not hand out numbers so there is some semblance of a line? I was in waiting room over 1.5 hours then in back for about 30 for a grand total of 2 hours spent. All that said, the staff was kind when I finally got in. Still, I would go somewhere else in the future with a more organized and timely waiting system.**UPDATE: 3 days later they still haven’t given me lab results. Even after I called. Absolutely unacceptable.
I visited on Sunday and the staff was amazing. They were very patient with me as I was in pain. They were caring and made me feel very comfortable. The dr know what he was talking about and their x-ray girl who was on at the time was wonderful she did an excellent job. Hi have never experienced such horrific medical care and unprofessionalism in all my life. As a resident of neighboring Wilton, this location is an absolute disgrace to the medical community. The staff is incredibly unprofessional and rude. They refused to provide me with answers or a physician call back during a potential allergic reaction to the medication they prescribed to me. I am shocked at the state of a medical facility such as this, akin to that of a third world country. Never come here.
I hate coming here. Service is slow. The people at the front desk are not friendly. If you make an appointment dont expect to be seen on time. Waiting an hour plus is the norm. Unfortunately, this is the only urgent care in Norwalk that my insurance covers.

Brought my wife to Doctors Express in Norwalk with flu like symptoms. Check in process was quick and efficient. Even though the waiting room was a fairly crowded, we only waited about 15 minutes until the nurse brought us back for medical history and strep and flu tests. Once results for the tests were ready, Dr. came in for examination and diagnosis. All facets of the experience were delivered in a professional and courteous manner. The office is pleasant and comfortable, the exam rooms well stocked with all the required equipment and most importantly, the medical team was top notch. My wife and I will definitely use this facility again-highly recommend!!

I didn’t leave a review originally because I don’t like to shame people but this is ridiculous! I went in for low abdominal pain I thought were kidney stones. Rather than tell me they couldn’t help, they scheduled an appointment with me over the phone. I show up and the nurse/Dr. comes to see me while finishing a sandwich. No big deal. Takes my vitals, asks why I’m there (which should have been known), and tells me I needed to go to the hospital for an ultra sound, which I did, and still no big deal. I later receive a bill. I disputed as they did nothing for me in office. After back and forth for 4 months and being sent to collections they finally drop it. Here we are, 3 years and 9 months later, and I randomly get hit on my credit report! I call the number provided and it’s a collection agency! Collections won’t give me any contact information, and AFC is too busy to answer the phone, which I WOULD understand except that THEY should understand that sending people to collections during a pandemic is as ridiculous as me expecting to get an office administrator on the phone, for a bill regarding services not performed, from almost 4 years ago!

I used Zocdoc to book an appointment there, if people dont want to call in and book an appointment.I think I was there for under 40 minutes, from waiting, to being seen by nurse, to doctor, taking about options, getting diagnosed.Went really quick, because I feel like most places you have to wait 30 minutes just to be seen sometimes.They also take walk ins.
Terrible. Doc didnt even listen to my mother’s chest or check her ears/etc when she was there for a URI. Meds sent to wrong pharmacy in another state even though confirmed local pharmacy.
I truly appreciate the staff and the professional treatment and service that I received. The exceptional service that I received when I called in before walking in was excellent as well.

Like the convince, good hours, clean. I like Dr Wasserman he does a good job for a walk in clinic. My only complaint is the front desk staff, they could have some personality or just smile. I have been there a half a dozen times always the same. But all the doctors and nurses are great.

Terrible customer service. They double charged my credit card on 5/25 for a bill I have already paid. I’ve called the office about 20 times over the past 2 days and it just keeps ringing and I get a message that their mailbox is full. Very disappointing and unprofessional. Going to dispute the charge but this would be easily solvable if they picked up the phone, had a voicemail system, or didn’t charge me without authorization.
One star is generous. Horrible, horrible service and care. Called ahead to see if my daughter needed an appointment and they said no appointment necessary, it is not crowded. Arrived 12 minutes later with people waiting on the sidewalk entrance. Filled out paperwork etc and they did not take my daughter for over 2 hours. Sent a perscription not to the pharmacy we asked only to go to Norwalk Pharmacy way out of our way and its CLOSED SUNDAYS. Could not get anyone on phone to get perscription to our pharmacy. Finally did get someone on the phone (on our way driving back to AFC) said they would have DR call into our pharmacy. NO call and now AFC closed. Terrible service, terrible doctor. Do not call save yourself an ulcer on top of whatever is ailing you.
An hour before they closed, I tried to walk in to receive care for an injury. I was turned away and told they weren’t taking any more patients and to go elsewhere for treatment.

Not a review writer but this is unfortunately the second terrible experience I have had at an AFC Center. All I needed was a flu shot and had to come back to the clinic three days in a row due to the 4+ hour wait times each day. This morning I arrived at 7:30 am for the 8am open time, and did not get a phone call that someone was ready to give me the shot until 9:45. I work a 9-5 job so I couldn’t even get my vaccination as I had to leave before then. When I asked the staff for any updates while I was waiting, no one could give me any information regarding wait times. Everyone who was sitting on the concrete waiting outside was talking about having the exact same terrible experience, having to come back days in a row and wasting multiple hours of time trying to be seen for simple issues. There must be a more efficient system out there to not only see more clients but also communicate valuable information with them so they don’t feel as if they’re not being taken care of or that their time has been totally disregarded. For an “urgent clinic” there was nothing urgent about the service. Maybe hiring a management consultant would be a beneficial exercise.
They provided a great telehealth solution for me and my daughter. They were efficient, professional and most importantly intelligent, when it came to providing care and advice to us. I hope there’s no need, but I’ll definitely use them again as my first call at the time.
Charged me $408 for a rapid covid test, and billed part of that as a weekend surcharge and doctors visit that insurance cannot cover. Was left paying $155 for a 10 minute, $10 test. Would not recommend using this place for covid testing
After going to other urgent care facilities,, we chose this onebecause of the efficiency ,cleanliness, and general professionalism of staff. My only annoyance was 6/29/20 waiting over 45 minutes after calling in my arrival in their parking lot and when my wife called to ask our wait time, they had no record of our being there!
Doctors Express Norwalk was great. My son was home from college and needed to be seen immediately. The staff was friendly, and Dr Wasserman couldn’t have been more attentive and helpful. My son got evaluated quickly, and we received a copy of his x-ray to take with us for any necessary follow-up with his regular doctor. In addition, the facility is brand new with a nice, clean waiting area; and parking right in front of the entrance. I would highly recommend AFC Doctors Express Urgent Care Norwalk.
Very impressed. I wasted my time from the other clinic I went to before and I was running out of time for going to work. Luckily, they had a fast call out and caring service. My veins were deep and it was hard to draw in a cold weather but they spent time and took effort to let me sit in a warm room for awhile plus with a skilled physician they eventually got my blood instead of kicking me out and tells me they cant do it. Definitely recommended clinic in Norwalk!!

Quick review on this great clinic. I came in yesterday with Pink eye.I had a big meeting today at 1:00 and my eye was a mess yesterday. The Dr. saw me right away prescribed some eyedrops and my eye cleared up overnight.I was able to keep a very important meeting thanks to the AFC. Its still a little pink but 1000% better. Thanks to AFC Urgent care my eye is back to normal now.. Great addition to the neighborhood. Highly recommended.
This is the single worst experience I have ever had at an urgent care. My husband and I arrived at 8 am to get a Covid test, and there was only one person in front of us. After filling out the paper work, we waited in the waiting area for 2 hours before being called in for a swab. Upon confirming our information with the nurse, we found out the front desk clerk has inputted BOTH of our birthdays incorrectly. The level of unprofessionalism is astounding and truly unacceptable, and this place should not continue to operate under the guise of urgent care and show itself as an disorganized, inefficient mess. Please save yourself the trouble of going elsewhere for Covid testing.
I left another facility in the area that didnt warn me before filling out the paper work that there were four others ahead of me and only one physician. AFC took me within 15 minutes and I felt a lot better after. Great place to get care. Clean and organized, easy in and out.
Filled out the new patient form online before arrival and was brought in very quickly. The staff was friendly, Dr. Wasserman is wonderful. The bottle of water while I waited for the results of my tests was a nice touch. I have nothing but great things to say about my experience. Thank you!
Insane wait times for simple rapid covid test or anything really! Wasted hours, even though I arrived before they open. The staff at the front are unprofessional and lack empathy. 3+ hours waiting in vain and if you leave you lose your spot in line. Go elsewhere its not worth the hassle.Whoever is in charge sucks at running this place, super inefficient.
Wait time was tolerable. Result on COVID test was prompt. I tested positive. Was advised by the Doctor to take it easy as I had exceeded period for Paxlovid to be effective.
