To be as nice as possible, Dr Church should retire. Terrible bedside manner. Not informative. When you ask her simple questions, she only quotes research, very clinical in a bad way. She’s missing something in the social emotional department. There’s lovely doctors at that office, Dr Church is not it.
I was referred to Dr. Church from my mother. She was obgyn for a most of my childhood. Once I got older and close to my 30s, I started experiencing heavy bleeding and she told me to just switch birth controls. I agreed to go back to one that I was on when I was younger and she didn’t know which one to put me back on because she said in my records it was in alphabetical over not listed as which one I took in certain year frame. I later came in to inform her I had been bleeding for a little over a month straight and her bedside manners were very nonchalant. Never scheduled any testing for me or physically checked me; nothing. I left and got a second opinion and with a regular pelvic exam was able to tell me I had a fibroids. Took test to confirm her diagnosis and was correct. I had 7 and one was in my uterus. This same fibroid was preventing me from having and or holding a pregnancy. I had to get it removed in order to have my daughter. I will NEVER go back to her or refer anyone to her. I just didn’t feel cared for.
Dr.Church has been my gyne for over 20+ years. She’s always shown a genuine care for me. If Dr.Church recommends any testing I trust her knowledge that it’s in my best interest. By trusting in Dr. Church’s advice to take the test a serious health issue was caught early. Thank you Dr.Church for caring for me for so many years. I appreciate you so much. Thank you again!
Dr Church delivered three of my children safely without any issue, She is always very helpful and knowledgeable about my Concerns. not to mention staff in her office are super nice too, specially Monica.
I had a similar experience as a previous review. Also seen for urge incontinence and urinary frequency. I was told to do kegels (which Ive been doing since I hit menopause) AND to go to the bathroom EVERY HOUR 🤯. Im thinking Im already going 7-8 times a day! So now I need to go 16 times a day?!? So no sleeping road trips, nothing that takes more than an hour to complete, unless theres a toilet available. And, she was waaay too busy to be bothered to listen. I arrived 20 mins early and still waited more than 30 mins to be shown a room where I waited an additional 10 mins. I understand busy, but if were expected to value their time, why cant they value ours and schedule better. Im currently looking for a new practitioner. So if anyone out there has a recommendation in the general Oaklawn area (North, South, or East), please reach or post then here.
Very run of the mill - indifferent doctor. I was referred by my primary doctor for urgency and incontinence (for months) as well as fatigue, pain and bloating etc., and instead of screening for ovarian cancer (which these are a symptom of) she told me to do kegals.
She almost killed in while doing a “minor procedure” in her office 10 years ago. Left me there unconscious and never dialed 911. Woke up 10 minutes later bleeding excessively. If you want to live-move on to another doctor. I refuse to see this woman ever again.
Awful....first time meeting with MD and had the nerve to say I have only 15 minutes...how rude...never again
Very thorough and accommodating doctorBeen seeing her for years. Would recommend her to everyone
Dr. Church is the most professional and gentle doctor Ive ever had in my life. 5 stars for sure.
