Dr.stafford was really nice & caring but the staff was horrible and very rude! Over booked & the visit was really fast paced, The nurses didn’t want to listen to any of my concerns just rushed me in and out. Stafford told me to come back in 2 weeks for blood work the staff never gave me an actual set date! Which I’m just assuming the lady forgot since they were over booked so I didn’t mind but When I called to ask about my date appointment they didn’t even set one! & pushed me back to the next month it’s so frustrating due to the fact that is was their mistake & ive been waiting on blood work to make sure everything is ok with my baby! Stafford was lovely but I’ll definitely be looking for a new doctor!
I had an appointment with Dr. Stafford and waited an hour to be placed into a room. When I asked if she was in the clinic they told me that she had just arrived and that I was next. I was at first annoyed that they did not let me know when I signed in that she was not in office. I was then placed in a room and waited another 45 minutes to finally just exit the room and ask again if Dr. Stafford was in the office. I was told by her nursing staff that she had just left. I told them I would need to reschedule. I also told them that I understood emergencies happen, but the lack of communication is unacceptable. In the future, I would appreciate the staff letting me know that the Dr. has left the office so that I can reschedule my appointment if needed. Their lack of respect for my time is beyond substandard.
Dr. Stafford delivered my two daughters and I visit her annually for checkups. The staff is exceptional - professional, kind, and informative. Dr. Stafford provided attentive care during my pregnancies and was supportive during my deliveries. I highly recommend her quality care!
She didnt even try to sit down and hear my concerns and what was happening. Once she sat down the only thing she asked if what birth control I was interested in and when I said I did not want any birth control all she could say is the only way I can help myself is by taking birth control. If she would have heard what was going on with my body she would have understood what i needed. In glad I found someone who actually wanted to help me and NOT just give me birth control which would have NEVER helped me.
Dr. Stafford is the best professional OB/GYN, shes very caring and very knowledgeable. She answers all of the questions that I have. Ive been going to her for 3 months now and shes amazing. Her staff is amazing , I have the best experience there, everything so nice and clean, and they get you in really fast. She performed my Surgery two weeks ago and everything went good. Ill for sure keep going to Dr. Stafford. I recommend Dr. Stafford 100% to women in need for an awesome physician. Love Dr.Stafford and her amazing staff.
Ew the staff is extremely rude I called to verify my appointment would be covered after getting off the phone with 211 and then saying it would be and the lady that answers the phone is extremely rude just like the first time I called and then she put the billing lady on and she didnt even give me a chance to speak before she was extremely rude. Dr Stafford is loosing people because of those ugly women that dont know how to be respectful! I will NOT go to that office I can only imagine how they treat people in person!!! When I saw Lori with one of my other kids I didnt have this problem !! Its just gross!!!
I have been going to Dr. Stafford for over 3 years. I feel comfortable with her and her staff every visit. Dr. Stafford takes the time to explain test results, details of procedures needed, and does not hesitate to answer questions with a kind and friendly demeanor. Her bedside manor is great and really put me at ease when I was at the hospital for a procedure recently.
I have had nothing but positive experiences in the 3 years I’ve been seeing Dr. Stafford or her PA-C, Ana Ward. I was nervous to switch doctors after 20+ years w Dr Harris. They have been nothing but kind and accommodating. They go above and beyond. I’m very thankful for all they do in regards to my health and making sure I understand everything.
Dr. Stafford had been my OB since I was told I had Ovarian cysts, when i was fifteen. I recently came back for my pregnancy, but the office is overbooked and the wait was always 1-2 hours and the appointment is very fast paced. Staff treated me different than the older woman being seen, felt more like a number rather than a patient.
VETERANS STAY AWAY!:about 6-7 years ago we had our first child and our experience was great! This time around what started out as good turned sour really fast.We lost the baby during the Xmas break and we were out of state. The OBGYN in New Mexico told us to see our OBGYN after a week once we were home. This was the turning point. When we called we were informed they they may not see us because other doctor performed procedures on me. They got rude to the point where my husband had to intervene and ask what should we do. We were told to call the next day because they had to get Dr. Stafford’s permission on this. The next day we called and the lady on the phone immediately gave us attitude and before even actually knowing what she was talking telling us dr Stafford won’t see us. I had to explain we called and were told to call back today to see what DR STAFFORD said. When I come to my appointment today I was greeted with the same “Dr Stafford won’t see you by some large woman”. I tried to explain to her we have already confirmed she would see me and it just devolved from there to the point where I had to call my husband and put him on speaker. They had no remorse for how they treated me during this difficult time and the office manager interrogated me like I was the perpetrator while my husband was on speaker. They wouldn’t believe that their staff was rude starting last week and they justified their behavior as in response to me. Shouldn’t processional people remain professional at all times?? So veterans beware this staff can’t handle hiccups . They may be nice as long as things go smoothly but not when things go a little awry. Also I was told that despite my husband later calling asking to speak to Dr. Stafford she, according to the office manager would not speak to him or want to deal with the matter.VETERANS STAY AWAY!!!!!!
I had my first appointment there today and all of the staff were amazing. The girls at the front desk got me checked in quickly and even when there was a snag with the insurance the young lady at the front desk assured me that if I needed to pay anything that they would contact me.Once I got in for my appointment Dr. Stafford took the time to address any concerns and even discussed birth control options with me and helped me decide on which one would be best for me. I will absolutely recommend her to anyone and I hope to have her as my provider for years.
7 years ago I was seeing Lori Stafford and she delivered my daughter. Well having her as a doctor and the experience from my deliver traumatized me and made it where I could not have more than 2 kids. During my appointments she would not answer any questions and just dismissed everything because I was a first time mom. I was getting bloody noses through my pregnancy and got told that was normal I was freaking out. Turned out it’s not and I have a blood disorder. During delivery I was induced and had no fluids, my daughter ended up wrapping her cord from head to toe, popped in the womb and swallowed mecullian. As well as I ended up with a third degree tear and I went to pucking blood, had blood gussing from my nose and I hemorrhaged losing 3 pints of blood in the matter of a couple minutes. I hemorrhaged because she pulled the placenta. And all Stafford said was I don’t know what to do while trying to stitch me up to get me to stop bleeding. 2 hours after my 6 week postpartum appointment after she cleared me I went home and went to hemorrhaging again. She would not see me told me she had just saw me. When I got pregnant with my son and was seen at a military hospital it was way better than a licensed OB. When I told these military doctors what happened with my daughter the response was what the hell is wrong with that doctor. Because of the experience with my daughter it caused major issues which lead to me only having 2 kids and issues I’m still dealing with.I am posting this now this many years later because my review I posted 7 years ago was taken down. As well as I have a family member who is experiencing a lot of the same things I’ve dealt with and it make me mad. Everything with me was avoidable had I had a doctor who truly cared. Doctors are suppose to treat their patients better than this. If Stafford was the last doctor around I would NEVER use her again, I’ve told all family not to use her and would never allow my daughter to be seen by such an awful doctor.
Dr. Lori Stafford performed a tubal ligation yesterday10/29/2021 on me. I have 4 children, my last little baby girl was a blessing and I know I didn’t want to carry anymore children. I moved from Houston Texas, to Midland Texas last year and I have always used to same doctor. I was nervous to start over with someone new. Dr. Lori Stafford assured me everything would be fine. Not only did she go above and beyond, so did the nurses who helped prepare me for surgery. I Only gave a 4 star, due to one of the staff member that work for Dr. Lori, she’s not very friendly and come off as rude. The other staff members are nice and make you want to return. Other than that, Dr. Lori keep up the good work. Such a nice Doctor.
I havent had my appointment yet. I just got the call to confirm my appointment. And Im new to the area and the lady on the phone. Which is the front desk lady was very rude. I hope my experience with the doctor for my appointment isnt as bad as my experience so far as dealing with the front end staff. This is a medical facility do better.
I could not have asked for a more positive experience! Being that this was my first pregnancy, I was so worried about the entire process and how it would go, but Dr. Stafford put all of my worries to rest! I felt like I was the only patient she was seeing even though there are so many others! She remembered the things that we had discussed in previous appointments and seemed to really care on a personal level about mine and my babys health. Dr. Stafford was extremely professional and was great with answering the silly questions I might come up with. She was always very patient with me and if I had a concern, she was great about making sure that I felt comfortable. I ended up having to have an emergency c-section and my husband and I were so thankful that we had chosen Dr. Stafford because she did an amazing job of staying calm and keeping us calm too! Its a scary situation, but she had everything under control and I cannot imagine what the experience would have been like if I would not have had Dr. Stafford as my doctor. She has given birth to so many babies, but the time that I spent in appointments with her and in the hospital giving birth, she had a way of making it feel like my pregnancy and my birthing experience was special and exciting for her as well. I will be using Dr. Stafford in the future because of the experience that I had with my first baby. Shes an awesome doctor and I honestly do not have one complaint!!!
I have been with Dr. Stafford for 5 years She has helped deliver 3 of my children and will be helping with 4th this year. I delivered a stillborn with a different doctor and had trouble trusting any doctor. Dr. Stafford has gained my trust from day 1. Yes, the wait is sometimes long. But I feel like thats a good sign. Everyone wants her as their doctor. (And you all can blame me for the wait time. I refer everyone to her.) Shes caring and compassionate. Any time Ive had a worry they got me in the same day for an appointment. Ive also never had any problems with her staff. Sure, some her nurses are more blunt than others but Ive never felt they were being rude. Just their personality. 🤷♀️
I have been seeing Dr. Stafford for several years now and absolutely love her. She is caring, gracious and professional. My husband and I recently walked through our first pregnancy and miscarriage. Dr. Stafford was absolutely wonderful. She was thorough and loving in delivering us with the news that our pregnancy was not viable. She also went above and beyond to check in on me and my family in the days following this news. When visiting her office i have had to wait, but I understand this is because she is on call to deliver babies when the time comes. That is not a life event that can always be scheduled so when making an appointment keep this in mind!I have recommended her to many of my friends and I think she is a wonderful woman and doctor!
Dr. Stafford is fantastic. Her office is clean and the staff is professional. She took her time with me every visit while I was pregnant and patiently answered all of my first time mom type questions. I was in and out of her office within an hour every appointment. She genuinely cared about every concern I had and made me feel welcomed. Her thorough care has stayed consistent after my pregnancy as well. I cant recommend her enough!
Dr. Stafford is the best, I love her! She is very sweet . Yes her office is really busy because she is a good Doctor, so is worth the wait! The nurses Abigail, Stephanie and Brenda are the ones that usually take care of me and they are super nice they dont have time to make conversations because of the busy schedule they have but they are very nice and helpful. The front desk has always been nice even when Im a little late to my appointments!
Dr. Stafford is an amazing doctor! She met all of my needs during both of my pregnancies. One of which was a high-risk pregnant and she always made me feel at ease. The staff at the office was always so friendly and accommodating. They went above and beyond when I needed help with anything. So thankful for this practice!
Dr. Stafford is really nice, and she listens to you and answers all your questions. But ever since my very first appt, I was discouraged by the staff. My boyfriend wanted me to change doctors, but I didnt even get to meet her. So I decided to stay. Ive only seen Dr. Stafford maybe 3 times, all other visits since May have been with her NP or PA (not even sure). I had a glucose screening ( for gestational diabetes) 3 weeks ago, didnt get results until 2 weeks later saying my results were abnormal. I had to go back and do a 3 hour test. Well I still havent heard back on my results, and I actually did call the office several times and the doctor hadnt looked at them. I know shes busy with all her patients, and she may not prioritize, but I believe that knowing whether I have GD or not is important for both my baby and I. Well I am in limbo. I really wish I could change doctors, but I am too far along in my pregnancy.
Dr. Harris retired so I started going to Lori Stafford she doesnt answer questions I asked her the next time I go I see her practitioner I still get no answers they were supposed to schedule me a mammogram 2 months ago I still have not got a mammogram appointment call up to the mammogram place she never did order me a mammogram I feel like she does not like to see older women she just likes to deal with people having a baby.Up DateCall back in April one more time they said they reorder my mammogram and still dont have a mammogram appointment I will be looking for a new OBGYN someone who cares about older womens health its
Dr. Stafford was the best OB I couldve asked for. I had a tumor and a few cysts while I was pregnant with my son. In every visit she made sure that she explained all the possibilities of having to remove them but we would try to refrain until further into the pregnancy if it was necessary. She held my hand as I cried being a first time mom Ive never had to experience this and having a first time visit alone she was incredibly kind since the first appointment. She went in and delivered my baby boy, and she was beyond incredible. If I could keep her as my regular doctor I would.
Me and my wife had a great experience with Dr Stafford and her nurse Stepheny, we used them for our first pregnancy and they explained things clearly at our appointments, and my wife had a great delivery experience with Stafford. We will defintely use her again for our next pregnancy. And yes the waiting room is busy, but for good reason, shes a great doctor lots of people know it.
I would highly recommend Dr Stafford and Torres. They both are very caring and understanding. I had issues with the perinatal clinic in Odessa and they offered me great advice. Ive been going here for two different pregnancies now and never had any problems. The only thing negative I have to say is one employee named James is very rude over the phone and doesnt ask a nurse or other employee when he doesnt know the answer to something and has hung up several times not just on me but my friends as well.
I will not be recommending Lori Stafford to anyone ever again. First to start off with the office is always dirty. Hairs all over the floor, dirty restroom/exam rooms. Second her staff is very unprofessional. She should really have Stephanie and the front lady being the nurses because they are so much nicer! Lastly I just had a horrible delivery performed by Stafford, I was induced Saturday at 8 then was fully dilated Sunday afternoon I was told my baby was sunny side up so they were going to position me to where hed move into the correct position. So they did and that took not even 5 minutes. They then said I had to wait in the same position until the doctor got there. So I did. Stafford showed up 4 hours after I was dilated completely and my baby was in position. Told me to push a few times then gave up and told me he was not going to come out without getting his shoulder stuck and there was no other option and a c section was performed immediately. I just feel as if she could have used forceps because they did make me wait for 4 hours and broke my water in the morning so it was going to be a dry birth. Let me remind you that she was very rude. Didnt say anything comforting at all. Just made faces and acted as if she didnt want to be there.
Anyone who has had a bad experience with Doctor Stafford or any of her employees may just have been having a bad day. She is by far the best OBGYN in Odessa, her staff is always kind and knowledgeable about any questions or concerns you may have and they take the time to explain things without making you feel like your wasting their time for asking. Coming from Dr.Pill who wouldnt even look at me during the whole appointment and spoke to me in a bland emotionless tone im SO glad I found Dr. Stafford and her amazing team. Thank you Dr. Stafford for continually providing amazing service to us women❤
I love Dr. Stafford and her PA and her whole office staff. I have been to places where it feels like you are in and out and no one is asking questions or listening to your concerns. Dr. Stafford and her staff are always very engaged with me and my thoughts and concerns. It’s nice to have someone listening and advising!! Sweet people and very caring!
Dr Stafford is a wonderful dr!! She was amazing during delivery. She was patient and attentive and understanding. my husband was also impressed with how she was during delivery. The only thing is not being able to take a child with me when I had no other option. We have no family here to help.
I hate to write a negative review, but other women should be warned. I absolutely love Stafford and Torres! They always took the time to answer my questions and concerns! However, the office staff is unprofessional and not helpful! I called about a month ago saying I was having some bleeding and I never got a call back!! I was told by my supervisor to go to her office and to be seen instead of going to the OBED! In the beginning of April I was told to plan for a C-section. So I was trying to find out the price so my fiancé and I could plan accordingly. Was told by the from office my insurance would call me… Still waiting for that phone call. I went into the office less than 1 week until my next appointment where my payment was due and they raised their prices and never notified me! If I didnt go into the office I wouldve never known! I was told on the phone oh the prices went up 2 weeks ago”. Why wasnt I informed of the change in price of my care?!? My last appointment was the final straw! I came in for my glucose test and I was told to pay the rest of my payment (which I knew I had a payment to make) however I was told 3 different payment amounts!! So why am I going to give a payment when they couldnt give me a correct amount. They also were going to refuse me care if I didn’t make the payment! When I was told my final payment didn’t need to be paid until 30 weeks… I’m currently 27 weeks.. They also talked about my payment in the hallway.. Not in an office where information couldve been looked at and referenced. So my fiance wasnt happy and wasnt getting the answers to the questions we were asking... as I left the office today they told me its going to be hard to find a new OB at 27 weeks pregnant and I found a new OB less than 10 hours later. Today I went in because on Thursday when I was supposed to have my appointment I was told my medical records would be sent over to my new OB and that I would receive a hard copy of my medical records because her staff isnt the most efficient and when they were ready I would get a call.... It was Monday afternoon and I never got a call when they were ready. I had to go into the office myself and find out. My records were faxed, however my medical records were sitting under a bunch of papers so no wonder I never got a phone call. No one could tell me where my medical records were at first!! They were not placed in a safe place for super important documents!! I was livid but I remained calm because I will no longer be frustrated by the staff. Pregnancy especially with your first baby should be a happy and enjoyable experience and like I said I love Stafford, however her office staff is just terrible and ruins the experience. I hope the front staff gets more training and can learn to be professional.
Dr. Stafford was sweet and professional. However, after having my baby, I will not return nor will I recommend anyone. Her nursing staff lacks couth and professionalism. They are very cold and especially lack empathy and compassion towards patients. I expressed my concerns to Dr. Stafford and did not ever witness a change in attitude.
Ill let you know now this isnt a review on her office. Strictly bedside manner for the doctor and the nurses at the hospital (ORMC). I actually wasnt a patient of hers. Dr. Venagas was my OB but because I was only 32 weeks Midland memorial told me to go to ormc. My baby required a higher level of NICU than they provided. Dr. Stafford was the OB on call. In my two previous labors I have NEVER felt pain like this one. (Mind you during the other two I did extremely well breathing and tolerating the pain. Never cried or screamed from it.) As soon as I got to labor and delivery I was immediately attended to by two nurses, and a few minutes later, Dr. Stafford. The care and compassion I received was beyond the best Ive ever had at any hospital! One of the nurses stayed in my room with me and literally rubbed by back for hours. I was already scheduled for a C-section because of medical complications. Dr. Stafford did everything she could to not only communicate with me but made sure I was being provided great care and was comfortable. She went through every option to try to get the labor to stop while also considering my health as well. Unfortunately the was no stopping it. On November, 23rd, 2019 at 6:30 a.m. born via C-section. Also Dr.Stafford found a tumor in my uterus and promptly removed it. As soon as I was in postpartum she came by to check in me and let me know what she found. She was a great Dr. Idk about her office, but in the hospital setting (which matters the most to me) she was phenomenal! And the nurses as well. My baby girl did have to stay a month in the NICU but is doing great now. Wouldnt even be able to tell she was 8 weeks premature!Thank you so very much Dr. Stafford and nurses for the best experience in a scary situation.
Dr. Stafford is wonderful. I had an emergency c-section & although it wasn’t the delivery I imagined, it was a positive experience. She has a calm demeanor which was ideal for me during pregnancy. I would recommend her to friends and family.
I loved Dr. Stafford. Although she has many patients she treated me like I was the only one there. Very personable and friendly and amazing at what she does. The only reason Im giving it a 4 is because I had an appointment at 10a.m. and didnt get in there until almost 11:00a.m. I understand that Odessa is a busy town but dont take in 20 appointments at the same exact time if you cant promise them that you can get them in at that time. Other than that, shes an amazing OBGYN.
I love Dr.Stafford. This is my second pregnancy and I chose her because I wanted a female doctor this time around and because the doctor I had with my first pregnancy was very unprofessional and had no bedside manner at all. Dr. Stafford takes the time to answer any questions I may have, I told her how important it was for me to have a certain birth and she was on board but explained to me what I would have to sacrifice to get what I want just in case of emergencies. I feel like this is my first pregnancy because I am learning so much because she explains things thoroughly if I dont understand what she is talking about. Plus she is really funny and makes it easy for me to talk to her. Sometimes it gets packed but hey, I see it as, more people are wanting to go to her because of who she is and the impression she is leaving on people.
If I could give her 10 stars I would. Since day one of my pregnancy she was very kind and informative. Most of us dread going to our dr appts but I never did because she always made me feel so comfortable. I had a very bad experience with my first pregnancy (different dr) so I decided to give dr stafford a try and that was the BEST decision Ive ever made. I do agree that her staff is very rude and seems like they hate their job BUT dr stafford has never once been rude or hateful towards me and thats all that mattered to me. Ive never had to wait more than 30min to be seen. If I wasnt seen by her then it was her nurse practioner and shes the sweetest also. The delivery was also amazing. She was so calm and that made me at ease, even for my husband. Hands down one of the BEST doctors Ive ever met.
Ive been going to Dr. Stafford since 2017 and love how patient, knowledgeable and thorough she is. She always takes time to answer all my questions. I had to have a procedure done by a general surgeon and she took the time to check in on me afterward. Shes a great OBGYN and really cares for her patients!
After having my medical history for almost a week as of today, they told me they would call me back in 1-2 weeks to schedule my first appointment. That’s THREE weeks after our first contact to just simply SCHEDULE the appointment. When 20 weeks pregnant, I should not have to wait that long just to get an appointment scheduled. I told them I would find another Doctor, so I did. The receptionist at For Women Healthcare was exceptionally caring and got me an appointment scheduled right away...not even a week out. And to think I would be waiting another 1-2 weeks just to hear back from Dr. Stafford’s office. Ladies, I suggest you find another facility/clinic!
Dr. Stafford is an amazing doctor and did amazing on my c-section! If I could have another she would be my doctor for sure!! The staff is amazing as well sweet and very helpful! I felt so very comfortable in her office!
I went to Lori Stafford when I found out I was pregnant. I had a ton of pain and she told me it was just gas. AFTER a sonogram when she said everything looked great and gave me the picture and sent me on my happy way. Then i almost died in my living room from my Fallopian tube rupturing. I had another doctor look at the picture and said there is no sign of a baby in the uterus. I would NOT recommend this doctor. I lost a Fallopian tube, one of my ovaries, and a piece of myself because of her ignorance.
I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Stafford, her nurses and her front staff. The process from walking in and getting to a room usually didn’t take long at all. Everyone was always smiling, so kind, caring and considerate. I would definitely recommend Dr. Stafford.
Got nothing but positive feedback for Lori and her staff. Granted some days are not scheduled as plan but you cant help the fact different people have to be seen fir different reasons. Lori is a great doctor with an amazing heart. She delivered my son without any problems.
I have been debating for the longest time to post this but I feel like people have to know. First off I would like to say when I first started seeing Dr. Stafford it was always an amazing experience. I was diagnosed with PCOS and she helped me get pregnant! For that I will be forever grateful! Now heres why Im giving a one star review. Towards the end of my pregnancy I had to get the usual blood work done but right after I had blood work they took my blood pressure which was of course high. (Ive always hated needles) I was then taken into the exam room and Stephanie(nurse practitioner) tells me that my blood pressure was high and would have to be monitored at every visit because if it continued to be high I would have to be induced. (Of course I understand that high BP can cause multiple issues with the baby and I appreciate them looking out.) But I had just had blood drawn and of course it was going to be high. I continued going to my regular visits (with being induced in the back of my mind) and everytime I would go in my blood pressure read high. Now I know from their side they were worried but I had spoke to Dr. Stafford and told her I was monitoring my blood pressure at home and it was always normal. She didnt really listen to what I had to say at that appointment and just told me that something could happen to the baby and said that I was scheduled at the hospital to be induced. I knew that being induced would increase my chances of a c section and didnt want to be induced but of course I felt scared that something might happen to my baby. So the day of my scheduled induction we get to the hospital and the whole time I have a gut feeling not to be induced because I knew I didnt have high BP. We get to the labor and delivery room and they hook me up to the BP monitor and my BP is normal! I asked the nurse why Im being induced if my BP is normal. She did tell me they couldnt force me to be induced but Dr. Stafford would most likely call me and convince me to come back to the hospital. I ended up agreeing and was in labor for 4 days, with my BP being normal the whole time! I knew I never had high BP and inducing me wasnt medically necessary. Heres where I get really sad once I was in the postpartum room, one of the nurses asked my why i was induced. I told her because they had said I had high BP and she said that was wrong my bp was normal the whole time. She also referred me to another OBGYN. I wish I wouldve listened to myself and denied being induced but I was scared. I will say Dr. Stafford and all of her staff always treated me very well! Honestly I loved being their patient but I just wish she really wouldve listened to me and tooken into consideration that i was monitoring my blood pressure accurately at home. Now for my next pregnancies my chances of needing another c section are way higher and that completely breaks my heart.
The best!!!! She delivered all my kids except my first (4). shes so patient, gentle and very sweet. Always recommend her to everyone. The only thing bad is the wait (usually 2hr wait) but only because everyone in odessa wants her and this city is so crowded so what do you expect. But trust me the wait it worth it!!! Thank you Dr. Stafford for EVERYTHING!!!! ❤
I had the worst experience ever with Dr. Stafford. She is absolutely horrible. I feel like I was assaulted. She had no bedside manner what so ever and is in a rush all the time. Every concern or question I had, she disregarded and did not spend time to explain anything. There was not a nurse present during the procedure and she did not show me that anything was sterile plus she was on the phone the whole time! Do yourself a favor and do not go to her.
I went with my daughter today for the first time. I could not believe the attitude of the nurse and lady working the front desk. Other than the nurse asking my daughter if she was having any problems there was no communication from her not even as she stuck us in the room and closed the door on us. All thought I will say Dr Stafford was very sweet I felt as if she was in such a rush. Communication was very little and entire time spent was less than 5 mins. Today was a sono day, I recorded the entire sono and it is a little over 1 min long. She was in such a rush we saw very little of the baby at one point she pointed out the babys elbow and my daughter asked a question she giggled said I look at these all day and moved right along. Maybe it is the difference between seeing her in her office in Midland vs her office in Odessa. I see so many wonderful comments about her but none of it is what I would say was anywhere near what I witnessed today. As we left my daughter was making her next appt and the lady at the desk was on the phone dealing with another patient at the counter and trying to schedule my daughters appt. There was no need for the rush as we were just standing there waiting patiently and to top it off she was very difficult to understand. Very unprofessional and rude in my opinion.
Dr. Stafford is a very sweet Doctor but every visit I have had has been very rushed. She should look into new staff as well. I just moved here a year ago and have seen her 3 times. Each time every nurse I delt with seemed pissed off and rude. One left me sitting at the blood pressure machine and looked at me like I was inconveniencing her, I could go on but its just rediculous, Also they have no accommodations for working with you on a bill/copay. Its either pay upfront or you cant see the doctor. I have never been to a doctors office that was not helpful with that. Very disappointed. Needless to say I am in a town that lacks good help anywhere so I am stuck.
Always sweet! Always. The staff is always amazing and Dr. Lori and Stephanie is absolutely fantastic. They always make you feel welcomed and loved. They truly take their time with me and listen to any concerns I have and always have an answer for me. Wouldnt want a different OBGYN.🥰
I went there twice and all of the staff is extremely rude and very unfriendly. I remember being told in a threatening manner that I couldnt leave unless I peed in the cup even though I spent 20 mins drinking water nonstop from the dispenser. Also, even when using the dispenser I was told to leave the room because an assistant was taking a patients blood pressure and what not. If they are going to be like that then move it into the waiting room where its supposed to be. My initial visit was because I wanted to get on birth control pills and my mom came with me. The first thing Stafford asked was if I wanted my mom in there. I looked at my mom and before I managed to get a definite answer out, Stafford told her to leave the room. The second time was worse because when my husband came with me she NEVER at any point looked at him even though he was helping answer questions about my pills that were giving me terrible side effects. After 5 mins of rushing us through our chat (I wasnt even able to ask the questions I wanted to) she left the room for a different type of sample pills and when she came back she LITERALLY just handed the box to me, like Here, then left without saying anything. DO NOT GO TO THIS DOCTOR. She is very impersonal and rude just like all of her employees. She may seem appealing because shes a young doctor but its really not worth it to go here.
Dr. Stafford is a wonderful OB/GYN. Shes very kind and explains things to you on whatever level you need. She runs a busy practice but wait times are appropriate and she will spend the time you need. I recommend her to all of my friends.
I just moved to this area and called to make an appointment Im 21 weeks pregnant. They were rude on the phone and told me that my first appointment would only be with the nurses to make sure my medical records were correct. When if I could at least meet the doctor while I was there to make sure we were the right fit for each other she told me it would be $250 to meet her. I tried to explain that I live a two hour round trip to come in and that it would be better for me to do both visits in one. she just repeated that it would be an additional $250. I decided that i would choose another doctor.
Dr. stafford and her nurse practitioner are amazing! I love her nurses and receptionist as well. I’ve never felt more comfortable and safe with any other dr before. She’s delivered 2 of my babies by c section and made me a beautiful scar and my recovery both times went great! If I could have her as my dr for everything I would lol. I’ll never go to anyone else.
Dr. Stafford is one of the best obgyn doctors in Odessa! I recently had a complete hysterectomy, and Im here to tell you it has changed my quality of life! She is very caring and highly recommended!
Dr. Stafford is super sweet but the office as a whole is ran so inefficiently it’s ridiculous. Be prepared to sit for at least an hour AFTER your appointment time before being seen. It doesn’t matter what day or time of day. It’s like this literally every time I come to this office (and I recently had a baby so I’ve been here A LOT).
Dr Stafford is extremely knowledgeable and very kind, I would happily refer my friends and family members to see her or her PA!
Although this was one of the most thorough Doctors I have seen, I felt my last visit was a negative experience. I did not appreciate that the state of my health during any future pregnancy was used as a scare tactic. Since I need to feel comfortable with my doctor, I feel It is in my best interest to seek another provider for my OB/GYN needs. Thank You.
The wait is an hour long every time to see the Doctor. When you finally do get to see her the process is very rushed. I would not recommend anyone going here. I will not be going back. The billing department is also a nightmare. Dr. Stafford herself is very nice, I think she is just overbooked and her staff is unorganized.
I waited in the waiting room for 2 hours. Another lady complained about her wait also, and was taken back almost immediately. Her scheduled appointment was after mine. So unorganized. So unprofessional. The staff is insanely rude. I asked about if I needed to just reschedule and the lady at the front desk said “whether you choose to do that is up to you” and giggled. No idea what is acceptable to patients. The tv is obnoxiously loud. The whole place is awful. I will never be back. Have no clue how they’re still in business. I should have listened to the bad reviews online.
Want to give a bad review on the medical assistants on the front desk. Took my wife for a general checkup and we BOTH felt VERY VERY Uncomfortable with them asking my wife very personal questions INFRONT OF EVERYONE THERE!!!! We both overheard many other patients personal medical history as clear as daylight and im pretty sure other patients did as well. Just like us we saw the patients faces of embarrassment while telling the assistants their personal medical issues infront of EVERYONE OUTLOUD!!!!!! Theres no privacy there to tell the assistants very personal information!!! I hope this Review reaches upper management because this is Very Unacceptable!!!
Dr. Stafford saved my life. If it wasn’t for her, I don’t know what would have happened to me. I had been having so many problems, and she was the only one who heard me and actually started doing scans and exams. I had endometrial cancer, and had I not gone to her, I would still be oblivious to this. She also referred me to Lubbock, and because of this I have been in remission since 2016.Thank you Dr. Stafford for searching until we had answers.
She is unprofessional and rude. Her office is super full and you wait well over an hour after your scheduled appointment time. The patient rooms are always dirty and not a friendly environment. I would not recommend her, if you try to transfer out she can take month to release your records and prevent you from getting seen by a different doctor. People send in screenshots of bad reviews in private groups and she will terminate you as a patient on the spot. I would suggest seeing a different doctor who will care about your medical history and wellbeing.
Being new to the area and having a difficult time finding an OBGYN, I called twice and spoke to Claudia, she spoke to me as if I were a child, I am not feeling well and called to get certain info for new patients. The 2nd time I called she seemed annoyed that I called and her friendliness level went from an 8 to a 1. If you arent a people person or know how to at least do a job professionally and correctly than try another type of employment. I am sure the doctor is a good Doc but not worth being treated by certain staff in an insensitive, unprofessional, negative way. Good luck.
I hate to write a negative review but I feel I must do it to help other women out who need a good gynecologist and who need real answers. The doctor is very dismissive og your concerns. She will say anything to make you feel better while nit really addressing your issue, without looking into the problem further. She just wants easy patients who are ok with a pat on the back and sends you on your way. She doesnt like being asked too many questions and you can see her demeanor change if you dont accept her dismissive answers. She does have a calm voice and appears to be so sweet but only if you dont really have any issues going on with you. I had asked her about a serious issue she told me its fine happens to everyone around here and it turns out to be a serious infection when I went to a different doctor. Just be ware.
If give an inadequate reason you need a cesarean delivery was a Dr,It definitely would be Dr Stanford…..after Seeing new doctors it’s been confirmed,it definitely feels like she was trying to scare me from any future pregnancies…!My very last appointment was so uncomfortable I went home and cried….
Best Dr I could ever ask for. She was so patient with me during delivery and also followed up with me after the baby. The wait might be long at her office because she is a good dr and has many pt. She was sweet and very knowledgeable.
The first time I went I waited about a hour just to do paperwork. I turned that in to wait about another hour and watch people come and go while I was just sitting there. Not to mention they over schedule. There were so many ladies having stand in the waiting area because there was no seating! I ended up just leaving. The office staff couldnt give me a time frame of when I would be seen. So warning ! if you make a appointment be sure just to take the day off of work! I called and spoke to the office manager which was nice and tried getting me seen 2 days later with a smaller wait time he said. I ended up having surgery and wasnt able to make it. I then called many times and was placed on hold for over 15 minutes just to be told The next appointment would be a MONTH later! I have heard so many good things about this doctor but the office is not ran right and it seems so be impossible to be seen.
Been going to the doctors office for my pregnancy for the past few months and have only seen the actual Doctor once. Which makes me uneasy because I have no idea what kind of doctor she really is. Every appointment is unpersonable and very much like an assembly line. Makes you feel unimportant and just an inconvenience to their day wish I wouldve had time to find a doctor that was willing to give me the time of day.
Their nurse Tamera put me in tears when I called the nurses line having complications from a surgery Dr. Stafford performed. I was in so much pain and Tamera (the nurse) yelled at me and then hung up on me when I asked to speak to the office manager. This horrifible experience was after being patronized by the front office more than once. This is literally the worst OB/GYN office I have ever been to. Their staff is verbally abusive! Specifically the front desk women and their nurse that goes by the name of Tamera. They are rude, insensitive and patronizing. It is a shame that such good medical professionals have such disrespectful ill mannered employees. I used to work for an OB/GYN office and we would NEVER treat our patients the way this office does. I am NEVER going to this office again and if I can help another women from experiencing verbal abuse from this place I will.
Receptionist was super rude. Sat there for over two hours and left. What’s the point in making an appointment if you’re brushed off and not give attention to? Needs improvement. She’s probably a good doctor but needs reception to reflect a respectable office.
This is my second time coming here. My apt was at 945 am. You can now see the time on my watch, 12:21 when I am finally called to the desk by name! they called my name and asked if I checked in, I said yes, which they send text message with a link that had me fill out 10 minutes of paperwork that then proceeds to tell you that you are now checked in, have a seat and you will be called when a room is available. She says I never signed a paper so I never checked in. And asks me to come back at 1:30. Something is obviously not working. What is it with Drs offices in this area? On par with McDonalds, no one wants to work.
Love, love, love Dr. Stafford! She is always amazing, comforting, and easy to talk to. I drive from Midland just because of her caring nature and attention to detail. I would highly recommend her!
Rude and clueless staff, dr.stafford does prescribe any prenatals and you barely get time with her. I felt like she didnt answer any of my questions I had and she was rushing me and rushing out the door. Every visit so far I waited 3 hours and only saw her for 5 min. I would not recommend her!
Dr stafford is one of the caring and funniest doctor. She’s very listening and helped with my problems. Her staff was amazing and nice throughout my whole visit. I will go back to her.
I have been a patient since i was 16, i am now 22 years old. Dr stafford has given me nothing but TLC as a patient. She takes the time to get to the bottom of what’s going on. I highly recommend her as your gyno.
The only reason I did not not give Dr.Stafford five stars, is because they are a little slow answering the phone, but what doctor isnt! The staff if very kind, very informative, and very thoughtful!! I am very impressed with my new doctor and plan on returning!
I love Dr. Stafford’s office. Her PA is also phenomenal. She answered all of my questions. The wait can be long but it’s totally worth it as you are provided with professionalism and awesome care.
Wait wait wait is what this practice should be called . I made my appoiment 3 weeks go . I arrived before my appoitment to do paper work and insurance be okayed . It took an hour for any paperwork to be given . I reminded the lady at the front widow I have a job and need to be on time . It took 20 more minutes to get my id and insurance card to begiven back . I asked if they were calling me back she stated no , we are waiting for a room . I told them I work and needed to go - they stood there dumbfounded and no reaction . Why Yes , I told them dont charge my insurance and I wont ever be back this is so wrong . Wont ever recommend this Dr or office staff . Waste of my time - dont let it be yours .
I love Dr. Stafford! She delivered my baby and cares a lot about her patients. Very nice and very professional.
The staff are rude. Very impersonal. They over schedule. If you dont have insurance, they dont give you a heads up about prices, until you show up for the appointment and then wont let you make payments until insurance does kick in. Took 3 visits to actually meet the doctor. I wouldnt recommend to anyone unless they enjoy unnecessary headaches.
Dr. Stafford was very professional and took the time to answer all of questions without making me feel rushed. I have recommended her to several friends and will not hesitate to see her again.
Her and her nurse were very nice and had me in and out as quick as possible while still listening to me and my concerns. The receptionists could be more pleasant but other than that no complaints.
Dr. Stafford doesnt make you feel like you are just a number. She takes the time to get to know you and she isnt in a hurry to get you out the door. Im glad I finally found a doctor that I like!!!
Dr. Stafford was very supportive and her bed side manner: Kind. I felt deep respect for her experience and knowledge.
My first time going with Lori Stafford shes amazing also Stephanie meet her today. Shes also amazing all her stuff are wonderful....
The staff was extremely rude. They do not make having a baby an incredible experience. Theyre VERY unprofessional and unorganized. All they care about is making money. I will NEVER recommend this office to anyone having a baby.
I was hoping to find a good Doctor today but never got the chance. The front desk lady was rude so I left.
I have called back on many occasions to make an appointment and every single time the whole staff has been very ignorant which led me to make an appointment with another doctor. Hilghly recommend STAYING AWAY. I’d rather drive four hours then deal with them.
Lori Stanford: “Epidural back pain is something Latinas made up because they work until they’re old that’s why their backs hurt” unacceptable.
Took my daughter for an appointment an she couldn’t even ask her anything she was concern about if you want to work in this Profession you should take the time an listen to your patient an not just say ooh yeah you had a Miscarriage an walk out the room when it’s was the first pregnancy not having a clue what to do next would highly not recommend
Great experience! I felt very comfortable with Dr. Stafford; shes very easy to talk to and explained everything very well.
The doctor was super nice and took time to understand what was going on. The receptionist was very nice and welcoming. I would definitely recommend this place !!
Arrived early for my appointment out of courtesy for their time. Waited an hour and half in the lobby (after my appointment time) without being seen. I left and will never be back.
She is a very nice and caring doctor also appointments are quick, not like other doctors appointments were you have to wait an hour to get seen, staff is also friendly and would recommend to other ladies
The lady’s at the front are extremely rude my wife called me crying cause they yelled About are financial situation out loud and said they would not take her until we had paid that’s understandable but being rude and inconsiderate is not idk who hired these woman but they need fired people everywhere are going through hard times she likes the doctor but the front needs work
This place is terrible! Needed a refund for some things they over charged us for and it took them 6 months. Our issuance company even said that they hated working with this Dr. 😬. Customer service is poor.
Had minor surgery by her. Loved her. So caring and personable. Wish she could be my regular family doctor.
Absolutely wonderful. She is very sweet, caring and gentle. She DOES take the time to answer any questions or concerns you may have.
Had a handful of awful experiences here. Good luck getting any face time with the doctor to get any questions answered. On top of that Her nurses are clueless.
Appointments are always on time and Dr. Stafford has a wonderful personality on top of being thorough and informative.
Never can get an appointment when needed! They said results normal but prescribed medication, still waiting on call back to find out why(been almost 6months) nobody seems to know what is going on...
I would give no stars if possible, waited for almost 2 hours for her to speak to me for only 5 minutes and tell me I had something I didnt even have. Horrible experience and would never recommend her to anybody.
Why recommend dangerous MRNA Covid and Flu shots to pregnant women?
She shows concern and truly cares for each of her patients! Absolutely would highly recommend her!
I honestly wouldnt even give one star. Every baby was in nicu the night my nephew was born b/c she needed her rest! They literally held my nephew in waiting on her!
Dr.Lori Stafford and Stepheny Torres are the best!! Their staff are always so helpful and sweet!! Thank y’all!
Love Dr. Stafford she is so sweet and caring I highly recommend her!
She is not good at all. would tell everyone to pick someone who cares about you and your baby not someone just there for the money!
Excellent physician! Have 2 beautiful children thanks to Dr. Stafford!!
The worst place to go if you are pregnant!!! The women nurses are rude and don’t take their job seriously.
Great people to put in your life at a stressful time.. Take the stress out and meet someone knowledgeable, that cares with answers.
She is the best ob, wish she could be my primary doctor
Dr. Stafford is the best doctor, and her staff is wonderful!
Competent and caring physician. Dr Stafford is the best! 💙💙💙
Im anew patient and they put my appointment late
Her staff needs training they are the most unprofessional I have ever met
The wait at this place is ridiculous 1.5 wait in the waiting room every time.
Way too busy. Hardly any face time. Rude office staff. No thank you!
2 hours and still waiting in the waiting room. This is ridiculous
Lori and Stephanie are amazing.
Horrible
Shes awesome
