We are so thankful for Deaconess Pregnancy & Adoption Services! They provide everything from education for hopeful adoptive parents, support along the way, legal services and lifelong counseling services. One of the reasons we chose to work with them was because of their ethical approach to expecting parents- they never coerce pregnant women but support her whether she chooses to parent or make an adoption plan. They offer lifelong support available to birth families and adoptive families. Our experience with DPA has been wonderful!

We have been involved with Deaconess for 18 years. We have adopted three children from there. In our opinion, there is no other agency that does adoption better. We highly recommend this agency to all of the members involved in adoption; birth moms, adoptive families, and adoptees. They are ministry to all.

We are so thankful for the way God used Deaconess to form our family. The staff is amazing. Some of the most compassionate, caring people who love and support the entire adoption triad. We have adopted 2 of our boys through Deaconess and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a Christ centered adoption agency. My husband and I are forever grateful to Deaconess for the love shown to our family, our birth mothers and our boys.

We have been blessed to work with Deaconess on the adoptions of two of our children. We can not say enough about the professionalism and kindness that was shown to us throughout the entire process. It was a wonderful experience from start to finish both times. They are a group of ladies that is dedicated to helping birth moms and adoptive families and are truly compassionate as they deal with a very beautiful but challenging time in peoples lives. You can tell that they love what they do!

LOVED it doesnt even begin to describe how we feel about this ministry. We honestly feel forever indebted to them letting God work through each of them...tirelessly. The hours of love that each of them have poured into our birth families, our children and our hearts cannot be calculated. When someone asks me about Deaconess or who we used for our adoptions, they mostly regret it because I CANNOT STOP TALKING. We have had experience with another agency and as much as we wish all four of our babies were with one agency, this experience helped us to see how phenomenal Deaconess is. We started our journey with Deaconess 10 years ago now and for 10 solid years we have had their counseling, love, encouragement, prayers & support. I would highly recommend that whatever side of the adoption triad you are; that you seek out help from them. You will never regret it! Thank you Deaconess for teaching us so much and changing our lives forever!

Just before Christmas last year, my wife and I received a call from Deaconess saying that my wife may not be fit to be a Mom. Literally days before Christmas they told us this. How did they come to this conclusion? Well, during the course of their 2-3 hour interaction with her, they learned that her Dad passed away when she was 7 years old. They felt that the loss of her Dad had rendered her unable to parent because, get this, “she didn’t make enough eye contact nor does she remember enough details of her Dad’s death 26 years ago.”Are you serious?!?!They told her she needed to undergo psychological testing to determine her cognitive abilities. If anyone is unfit, it’s the staff at Deaconess. How about you conduct a lengthier interview with her? Double check the references? Do any thing before you decide to tell someone they’re unfit to be a Mom because of a significant loss experienced two decades ago.Fast forward a year - we went through a wonderful adoption consultant who’s actually good at her job (and got us matched on the very first day)and now we have a happy, thriving baby boy. Our birth mom chose us because she had a feeling that my wife would be a great Mom and she was absolutely right.Deaconess is the worst.

There is no way to adequately express, what DPAS has done in countless lives, touched by the beauty of adoption! For my family, almost 19 years ago, my grandson was born & placed with my daughter & her husband, through DPAS. Every step of this miraculous process was laced with love, compassion for the birth Mom, as well as adopting parents, & the highest level of professionalism. I was touched by the ongoing support, after the adoption itself, for the birth Mother, & my daughters family. They care & provide beyond the filing of the documents. I loved this amazing organization so much, that I have spent the past 15 plus years, serving on the fund-raising committee. I have seen up close, what God does through these wonderful people, & the value they have for everyone who comes through their doors. It is my life-long prayer, that young pregnant women, will increasingly choose to place their precious infants, in the homes of families whom God has lovingly chosen! DPAS is worthy of being a part of it all!

My family has had the privilege of working with Deaconess for the past year as we began and navigated our journey of adopting an older child. The women who we have worked with are some of the most caring and compassionate women we have ever met. They have walked hand in hand with us every step of the way, offering support in so many ways. They have several events throughout the year for adoptive families, offering a way to connect and spend time with families similar to ours. They also offer an event for the birth mothers who place children through their agency. They also offer lifelong counseling to our family and the child we adopted, free of charge, as a way to make sure we are all connecting and attaching well. They are also very well trained in Trust Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) and offer so much support in parenting. They have been a God send and are irreplaceable in our eyes. We appreciate them more than we can express.James and Rachelle

We have been affiliated with Deaconess Pregnancy & Adoption Services for over 20 years now. They facilitated the adoptions of all three of our children and have remained an important resource. The staff at DPAS is warm, loving, supportive, and involved in each adoption. They place emphasis on continued relationships post-adoption. They establish close bonds with birth families and adoptive families alike and are dedicated to the best interests of each as well as the adopted child. DPAS has stood the test of time, having been in existence for well over 100 years creating forever families. Most recently, they have expanded their services to include older child adoptions and counseling services. We are forever grateful to DPAS for their role in creating our family of 5.

Deaconess made the entire adoption process a joy. Its a very stressful time, and they were always there to answer any question we had. They provided us ample material, and really helped prepare us for the start of our journey. Would definitely recommend them to anyone looking to adopt.
