Do not recommend this place that should be a place of care. Instead you are met with their opinions about the choices you make as well as rude comments. This is specially regarding the older front desk lady. In 2 separate occasions, she has been the rudest person Ive ever spoken to. Luckily Ive only used this office once in my life. If you are thinking about using them please reconsider. Also the amount of charges I saw for just one visit was outrageous. Most of it was covered through my insurance but there was one bill I saw online and I never got a bill from them only to call back a year later (I didnt have to call. I wanted to call) so I can figure out how to pay the bill, I was met with hostility.
Switched from another Obgyn to Dr. Hyler because I went through the reviews & they were all very good! Forward 6months later & I’m here wondering what happened in between because the offices reviews have gone down drastically! I’m now 34 weeks & have been coming to the office since being around 14 weeks & I’ve had a wonderful experience with midwives, nurses, Dr.’s (not quite sure if I’ve met any of the Dr.’s) & other staff they did explain to me I’d be meeting a new midwife and/or Dr. every appointment to get familiar with them. For my last 2 pregnancies it was a bit different I only saw my ob Dr. however that was not in this town as I moved here about 1 1/2 years ago & was also 15 years ago since i delivered my daughter, so things are a bit different but overall I’ve had I’ve had a great experience & hope it continues :)
I feel obligated to leave a review to help other expectant mothers avoid the experience(s) I did. While everyone i met at the office was very kind, there are some major issues that need to be addressed, the first being communication. Anytime I needed anything, I had to call multiple times and sometimes on different days just to try to get someone to answer the phone, and even then I was immediately placed on hold for an abnormally long period of time. They ask you to use the portal but then they aren’t responsive there either. I ended up in the ER twice for problems that ultimately could have been solved by communicating with a nurse or doctor, and that was a $500 experience each time. We saw a different nurse or midwife each visit and never actually met Dr. Hyler or any OB even by the time I was 20 weeks pregnant- as this is my first pregnancy, I didn’t feel comfortable not knowing who would deliver my baby. I did not feel the care I received was of good quality or personalized. I am now driving to an OBGYN in a different county and it is worth it to me to feel we are in good hands.
I have been a patient of Dr. Hylers for over 23 years. Having had a horrible experience with a prior OBGYN, I felt relaxed and relieved after my 1st visit to this office. His attention to detail as well as his kind and compassionate bedside manner have always been constant. He has delivered all of my children and also was the one who urged me to get a mammogram which resulted in the early detection of breast cancer. I will forever be grateful to him and his staff for all they have done for me and would recommend this office to every woman.
Dr Hyler, Dr Ayuso, and the midwife Bre were all awesome during my 3rd pregnancy. On my 4th pregnancy in 2018 I was made to see the Midwife Brittany - who was not taking my prenatal depression concerns seriously. ( I lost about 30 LBS within a month, not linked to morning sickness.)If you do go to this office, and suffer from any type of mental illness or PPD, I would steer clear of Brittany. She was the reason why I never returned to any of my Drs. Appts at this office.I was thankfully able to find a Dr right before delivering that actually cared about my mental health and getting me help.
Firstly, I would like to say that Dr. Hyler is an amazing doctor, he has been my OB/GYN for over 20 years. He delivered all my children and I had a fantastic relationship with him and his staff. However, over the past few years he has become so popular that it’s almost impossible to actually see him at all. In the past few years I have found making an appointment impossible, having to call multiple times for days at a time and no one answers the phone. The first time this happened I thought maybe they were having technical issues but that was not the case. I ended up having to physically go the office to schedule an appointment. Not only is the office staff horrible about not answering the phone they overbook appointments so bad that the wait times are atrocious. Fast forward to this past week I had to go in for an appointment and again had issues even scheduling the appointment bc they did not answer. If it weren’t for knowing a previous employee and having her reach out to someone that currently works there via text to call me to schedule the appointment I’m certain I would still not have an appointment. We finally get the appointment scheduled at the new FI office and upon being greeted the staff were nice and expeditiously took me back to the exam room which they put me in for exactly 45 minutes before I went out to inquire what the hold up was since I could hear everyone out laughing and having a grand time. I was then met with two rude young ladies who said I’d be next, well that was about another 20-25 minutes before the provider actually came in. I was not quite impressed by that encounter either but I won’t even go into that here. After the interaction with the provider I was given no information on what to do next so I waited for her to return, but she never did. So again, I go to the desk and the girls at the counter look at me cluelessly like I’m supposed to know what they want me to do next. After going to the front to check out I am clearly upset when I’m met by a lady who claimed to be the “office manager” who is actually not the office manager bc I know who said person is. She then proceeds to shrug her shoulders and say “they’re a busy clinic”! This enraged me even further since the body language and poor attitude made it feel like they don’t care. Unfortunately, that was my last visit to this office as I have no faith in how the office is being run and the lack of empathy and professionalism from the office staff.
I wouldn’t recommend this office to my worst enemy. From inappropriate comments they made prior to my getting pregnant, to the way they handled my pregnancy and the amount of mistakes they made.. it was nothing but a nightmare. I left there at about 14 weeks pregnant and my new provider is a night and day difference from how it was here. From never being able to get ahold of anyone via phone, messed up lab orders resulting in $1000s of dollars of bills from lab companies that are still being disputed, incorrectly being told that my subchorionic hemmorage was gone when it wasn’t , and prescribing me medicine for 90 days and being told to take it til it runs out.. just to go to ROC and be told absolutely NOT to take it past first trimester, I wouldnt trust anything that they told me.
I have only been a patient for about 1.5 years, but I am really disappointed in not being able to talk to a human being when I call, although with that being said, I called and chose the option for making appointments, and someone did answer today. Now I did not have to make an appointment but it was the only way to talk to a human. I tried to cancel an appointment one time, left three messages, and chose the option on text message that I was not going to be able to make it and they still contacted me regarding missing my appointment. I cant seem to get to talk to a provider unless I go to the portal, but there is no lack of communication when it comes to reminding me of my bill. I have received an exorbitant amount of texts, emails and phone calls regarding this, yet nobody informed me of my last biopsy results either by phone call or letter.Staff is very friendly and awesome and I appreciate that, but I have never met Dr. Hyler. So, although I go to Dr. Hylers office, I have never even seen his face except on the website. If you are choosing a new OBGYN, choose one that is not as busy. It is too hard to get questions answered via telephone. I dont want to have to log into the portal every single time I have a question.
These offices have seriously gone downhill. I have been a patient with Hyler & Assoiates for both pregnancies and births of my 2 children however it has been made clear on several occasions you are a nuisance to them. I had to schedule to repeat a very traumatic and BARBARIC procedure (Colposcopy) I had previously with them per PCP request. Naturally I had requested pain management and expressed the PTSD it left me. I was told Mrs. Debbie who is performing the procedure would reach out to me. I called several times in the matter of weeks post making the appt and was told each time a message was left and she would return my call with my concerns. That call never came. They absolutely do not care about their patients here. Zero stars.
Absolute best bedside manner, very proactive! Explains options and procedures in-depth! You leave the office knowledgeable and confident! Highly recommend! The whole office staff is amazing!
I had my appointment at the new Fleming Island location. I was honestly nervous because I had read good reviews about Dr. Hyler himself but had read some bad reviews about the nurses, front office and their communication. However, I was very pleasantly surprised as to how great my visit went. The front office and nurses were very kind and Dr. Hyler was amazing, his bedside manners were fantastic. Unfortunately its not very often that you feel like you are heard by medical professionals and that all of your concerns are taken seriously. However, Dr. Hyler was extremely courteous and answered any questions or concerns I had and made me feel so comfortable during my appointment. I was honestly blown away by how great of doctor he is. I am confident that I will keep going to him for future exams and when I am ready to start having children he is certainly at the top of the list for who I would like to be seen by. Seriously exemplary service!
I absolutely love this doctors office. The nurses and doctors are so nice, and so informative. This place was recommended by my doula and healthy start. I’m so glad I switched doctors to hylers office. The front desk ladies sometimes seem annoyed, but they’re always busy, so you can’t blame them. Other than that, I love this office.
Dr. Hyler and his team are incredible. Specifically Dr. Young and Dr. Hyler are patient and kind and truly listen to your concerns and questions. I’ve been to several providers over the years and by far this office and staff are my favorite. I feel supported, listened to, and understood. Dr. Hyler made baby #3 happen for us and has been right by our side the whole pregnancy. Really an amazing doctor.
Never could get in touch with anyone at the office nor could get anyone in touch with me after leaving message after message, as a new pregnant woman this was frustrating. They then dropped me as a patient (3 days postpartum- the receptionist didn’t realize I could hear and said: “I do not care about her or her kid, she needs to find a new doctor”) because my confidence was shot with not having a reliable team, I ended up not delivering with them. I was frustrated and scared. Doctors I saw were great, the only thing I miss about them. Pretty sure what they did was illegal and called patient abandonment but good riddance. Your office is only as good as your staff.
**i fi could give negative stars i would **I chose this practice because I had several prior patients tell me that This is the best practice Unfortunately, in my case it is evident its not. I am extremely disappointed. When coming to my first appointment I let the Medical assistants and Nurse actioner my medical history aka Miscarriages I expressed my concerns for needing to be high risk. I was sent for blood work, and it was lost twice. I was never informed of any results. I am assuming because I am a nurse that they assumed I should know how to read my results. This is also not only patient neglect but ridiculous. I also would like to complain that as a medical professional myself the front desk staff is very rude and always seemed bothered at the orange park location. When I had a sore throat it was brushed off multiple times I even complained of a fever and given my medical history this should have been taken way more seriously, Considering I was in the hospital 4 times for the same thing. And my throat was extremely red, had rash all over my face and puss pockets all in my mouth. I also showed the NP the photos I took of my symptoms. When asked if I could at least hear my child heartbeat again the Np seemed bothered and annoyed I even came in for a sore throat. It took me vomiting blood in the E.R waiting room for me to be admitted. I was on strong antibiotics and waited for 2 DAYS to be seen at the E.R by a staff member who claimed to be from Dr. Hylers practice .Just poked her head in to see if I was okay and told me it was okay to take antiacids. This is absolutely unacceptable given my medical condition. I had questions, and nobody seemed to answer them. I was then given an ultrasound at the E.R and nobody cared or bothered to tell me the results. I made a f/u appointment after I was discharged it took a long time to find babies heartbeat placed the fetal heart doppler on for .2 seconds and I felt a random number was made up in regard to this. I did speak up and say I didn’t hear it. But again, it seemed like it was an issue. Which looking back the fetus stopped growing around 15w which was the time I was discharged and had an appointment. The icing on the cake for this complaint was every time I had an appointment today at 0830 and was called at 0808 being informed it was cancelled last minute, AGIAN. No surprise there. I am usually very understanding in this matter because I myself work in the medical field at naval hospital Jacksonville, but this was a every appointment occurrence. AGAIN. RUDE front desk staff. Every time I asked to speak with a supervisor they were unavailable I truly feel my pregnancy would have progressed if this practice would have done their job as medical professionals and listened to myself as a patient and was able to be seen when I had appointments. On my last appointment when I was informed the baby no longer had a heartbeat at that time is when the staff members seemed to care I did not like the way I was almost immediately forced to be induced as the NP tried to get me to go the hospital right then in there. I was not allowed to take in the news and inform my family members, as well as my husband. Which is very inconsiderate and rude. I chose to go the next day due to this reason. I can say the only one that took the time at appointments, was Ms. Mariam I believe that is her name. Dr. Hyler was great during the stillbirth, but I never encountered during my pregnancy. Its been over a month since my stillbirth and I have YET TO HEAR ANYTHING IN REGARDS to what was found when they took the tissue from the fetus. That’s absolutely unacceptable. I was offered another appointment, and it was cancelled twice. PLEASE do better by your patients who put not only their trust in you but their children as well. I would hate for a very young girl first time being pregnant to experience the type of care / NEGLECT I have faced during my time as a patient here.the pc coordinator is also rude kept cutting me off while talking, PISS POOR SERVICE ** OP office specifically.
IF YOU EVER HAVE HAD PREECLAMPSIA DONT COME HEREi feel like im not being hurd i got preeclampsia as a 24 weeker and im an out patient my headaches have not gotten away at all , in currently 32 weeks was told at 34 i will deliver because of symptoms im having this whole pregnancy im being seen but one specific doctor but that doctor cant do my tube ligation so i had to see a different doctor my last visit and he did not listen to my concern about me getting swollen and seeing spots he said i will not be giving birth until 37 weeksi clearly have been stating to them that i have been having my preeclampsia getting worst and they wsnt to meep holding off and not listening to me or my body my blood pressures have been high and so has my protein in my urine for preeclampsia they just dont care how a patient feels at this point and im so concern but the hospital keeps sending me home to bc its connected to them
Does not care about patients health. Went here last year with HG the doctor saw how severe my vomiting was this time around I called to schedule an appointment so I can try to get nasuea medicine before it becomes aggressive again, the doctors doesn’t care about how sick I’m getting and won’t see me till April 10th (I’ll be 10weeks pregnant) and long gone by than the medicine won’t even help. If you want a doctor that ACTAULLY care about your health don’t go here
If you want to talk to a Doctor do not go here. Even when you request a doctor you will be redirected to a nurse. They follow protocol but come off very cold. When I first started going here every procedure was painful even the GBS swab. They will send you to labcorp for everything even the drink. They also send you elsewhere if you have any minor complications and fail to communicate with the specialist to provide a proper assessment. They also Do NOT deliver in orange park. Also u cant bring your newborn to the postpartum appointment. The protocols can all be overlooked but the atmosphere of a high school cannot. The second you make a decision on your own the nurse will take it as a personal attack and do what she can to make you feel incompetent. I will not be returning to this office unless i see that the staff has been completely changed which as far as i can tell will never happen. Also multiple times i arrived my nurse had canceled that Morning. The website makes it sound like they are midwives but the are just nurses and not similar in any way. Yes they had training but they are not caring sweet midwives. They behave like high school girls right out of school.
Absolutely the worst experience ever!!! Rose Jones was an absolute nightmare! Diagnosed with diabetes with no testing or anything so either they have the most talented bloodhound midwives or they just assume your diagnosis. When she saw my daughter was upset she went out to the hall and discussed her “being difficult” patient with other people. Not sure if it’s a hippa violation or not but it is definitely unprofessional. I will continue to try to reach the office manager or get a lawyer!!
I switched to this practice from Womens Care Florida in April of 2023, as that office/hospital was closing its maternity ward. I was recommended Dr. Hyler’s office by a lady who previously worked at his office. I cannot say enough good things about this office and the doctors. I gave birth to my second baby on Friday, September 15, and Dr. Ayuso delivered him. The whole experience was awesome and every doctors appointment I had with Dr. Hyler’s office, I felt seen and heard about any questions/concerns I had! I will continue going to this practice for all future gynecological services!
During my recent visit to the facility, I encountered a series of disappointments in the customer service provided by Breana Matzen. The primary issue arose from her rapid speech, which deprived me of the necessary time to process the information she was conveying. Additionally, despite having an appointment, I found myself waiting for nearly an hour before being seen, prompting me to seek out the ultrasound tech to inquire about the delay. One of the most concerning aspects of my experience was Breanas disregard for my explicit request on new patient paperwork regarding the allowance of students in the room. Despite my clear preference against it, a student was invited into the room under Breanas supervision. This not only put me in an uncomfortable position but also showcased a lack of respect for patient preferences. The demeanor of the student under Breanas training further compounded my dissatisfaction. The student was not only rude but maintained a straight face throughout, creating an unwelcoming atmosphere for both myself and my husband. There was a complete absence of a greeting, and the students overall demeanor conveyed a lack of enthusiasm for being present.A particularly unprofessional aspect of the visit was Breanas method of documenting patient notes. Instead of using appropriate tools, she resorted to writing notes on a napkin obtained from the handwashing station. This not only raised concerns about the confidentiality of my medical information but also contributed to an overall sense of being overlooked and neglected during the visit.Despite arriving with high expectations, fueled by a recommendation from another patient, my experience at this facility was far from satisfactory. The combination of rushed communication, extended wait times, disregard for stated preferences, unprofessional behavior from the student, and the makeshift note-taking approach has left me highly dissatisfied. Regrettably, I have decided not to return to this facility for any future medical needs.
I love Dr. Phillips. He made myself and my husband very comfortable and made it an easy pregnancy for me. Him and Dr. Ayuso are the only good things about this office. You can never get in touch with anyone and some are real nonchalant and rude. I called regarding a billing matter as they never billed my second insurance and the first girl told me I have to call my insurance even though they don’t have a claim. The second girl told me they don’t have a billing dept that I can talk to…an outside source would call me. I can’t schedule anything until this matter is handled. Unfortunately I won’t be dealing with this office anymore.
Just had an AWFUL experience with them. Had an appointment at kingsley location … had trouble finding the place .. I had to call them 4x for an answer only to tell me she didn’t know where it was and gave me the runaround until I missed the appointment !!! She was very cold and rude with me in the phone !!! Will not be returning!!!!
I’m surprised by the amount of negative reviews! I had a great experience from start to finish at Dr. Hyler and Associates. The midwives are awesome! They were all so personable and knowledgeable. Especially Whitney Rapp whom also ended up delivering my baby boy on 7/15/22 at St. Vincent’s Clay. She is fantastic at what she does! I would recommend Dr. Hyler and Associates any day!
Switched from North Florida OBGYN to Dr Hylers Office and it was the absolute best decision Ive made! This office is so amazing, everyone in the office is absolutely amazing. My midwife Kourtney took amazing care of me during my pregnancy, during my birth and after I love her and will be recommending anyone and everyone to her and Dr Hylers office!! Thank you for all that you do and treating your patients life family. Youve shown love and care for my son and I and Ive never been more happy with it. Definitely will be coming back whenever I have another little one❤️
Dr. Hyler was very nice to my wife. That’s the only reason they aren’t getting a 1 star review.Back office and billing process is horrible.Their billing department sends you additional bills and payment portal doesn’t reflect payments received. All phone numbers are disconnected. It has been a very sketchy process after our child has been born. Theyve sent letters saying theyll send us to collections even though weve been using a payment plan. my advice is don’t pay anything until you have all bills in hand.
I’ve seen the midwife, Courtney, twice in the last few weeks for some personal concerns I’ve had. The office got me in right away on short notice, I could check in online so all my paperwork was done by the time I got there and got taken back on time. The office is nice and staff are all super friendly.Courtney took her time to listen to me and all of my concerns, shared understanding and empathy and took the time to really make me feel like she listened and cared. So very thankful to have a provider like her in this area of medicine that is or can be uncomfortable all the way around for women, but the right provider makes all the difference! ❤️
I absolutely love Dr. Hylers office. I saw a Whitney my whole pregnancy. She is amazing!!! She made me feel comfortable the whole time. And she actually listened to my concerns and helped me figure out whatever was wrong. I would recommend this office to anyone!!
I can’t say enough about Dr Hyler! He is not only the best doctor hands down but he is such a sweet person. His passion for what he does shines through his contagious personality and smile! I couldn’t recommend him enough. He was the only doctor to entertain the idea of having a VBAC and he was so encouraging and understanding of all the concerns I had! He’s literally the best!
Dr. Jason Philips is absolutely wonderful and made my husband and I feel so comfortable. That said, the office is impossible to reach (any extension) to schedule an appointment or schedule bloodwork. It makes us very uncomfortable and leaves us no confidence in our journey. We switched to a different doctor given that anytime we call, no one answers. Very disappointed given Dr. Philips was so great.
They are mostly amazing but there are somethings that I would change. I found out very early that I was pregnant, and being my first pregnancy I was excited to get in and start the process. From the very beginning the staff was super welcoming and I was always in and out quickly. Jessica was seriously the most amazing person ever! When it became apparent that I was going to have difficulties with the pregnancy she allowed me to come in once a week to do an ultrasound and check my blood work. She was always so supportive and called me back with all of my results as soon as she knew. I ended up having a miscarriage and was devastated. Through the whole process the staff was there to hold mine and my husbands hand. You could tell that they truly cared. On the flip side I never got to meet either of the doctors during that process. It would have been nice to at least meet them upfront.Overall, I have had a really good experience here and would recommend them to others.
Dr. Hyler is the best GYN around. He is compassionate. He cares about your health. He treats you like you family. I recently met Dr. Phillips as well. He is also compassionate. I travel from ST. Augustine to see Dr. Hyler. I recommend this office to anyone and everyone I talk to. Thank you for caring about your patients Dr. Hyler and staff.
I guess I’ve had a much different experience than some of the other reviewers! I have had nothing but good things to say about this office. Like any place, some staff are friendlier than others, but I’ve always felt welcomed and always get my questions answered. Every time I call I get through immediately and get appointments scheduled right then and there. I’ve only had to pay $13 one time that insurance didn’t cover and haven’t had any issues with them filing with my insurance correctly. Dr. Phillips and Dr. Ayuso are both amazing providers and super down to earth! I recommend to anyone looking for a relaxed environment to welcome your baby into the world with!
Communication with this practice is ridiculous . No one even bothers to return a call or even have the decency to explain your results with you like you’re a normal person. I didn’t see the the portal, the portal didn’t perform the procedure so why do I need to contact the portal. Looking for a new obgyn immediately.
I personally had a great experience with Dr. Hyler and his office but it was 6 years ago I saw them. I had a successful VBAC and they started stripping my membranes at 37 weeks which helped. Dr. Hyler was so caring and personable as well as his midwives!
I have recently had to switch doctors as my old one no longer accepts my insurance. My first appointment with Dr. Hyler was wonderful as everyone from the reception, to the ladies who did my blood work treated me kindly and didn’t give off that feeling that this is their job and I’m just another patient. I felt as though I was an individual and they wanted to make sure that I have had and will have a comfortable and easy pregnancy as far as they can help me do that.
I highly dont recommend this facility to any women who is looking for a serious and caring facility. Its sad I hear great things about hyler himself but the staff at both Kingsley and Fleming are absolutely horrible. Had a lady at the front desk get me an appointment at the Fleming location and when I was half way to them they told me for word they will not take me because I had records faxed to another facility for a second opinion and that I had broke my contract. Was also told they had basically deleted my records from their system and they no longer have them. If you want a facility who cares about your needs this is not the location to go to.
Dr. Hyler and his medical staff are absolutely fantastic, but his office management is an absolute nightmare. There is no one to talk to over the phone to sort through the payment process- all numbers online are disconnected. The only way to get ahold of anyone is through their online portal which they seldom respond to. And, when you ask them to call you via a message in the online portal, if you ever even get a response, the response will be that they refuse to call you.Weve been trying to get in touch with their office for a year now since our daughter was born to resolve billing issues that are their error and they cannot be bothered to answer messages or call us about anything.
This morning I called to reschedule an appointment that was cancelled due to a provider being unavailable. While scheduling the appointment I was told there was no availability for the rest of the month and although I scheduled an appointment weeks prior there was no accommodations being made for the patients that had to be moved, we basically went to the back of the line. I proceeded to schedule my appointment and asked after that to leave a message for the office manager to contact me at their convenience since they were unavailable at the time. Before hanging up I asked for the staffs name so I could make a note of who I spoke with for my records. She replied with why and what records. Shocked that I had received this response I simply told her so I know who I spoke with today and left the message with. She then paused for a minute and hung the phone up on me. I called the office back and spoke with another woman who was very pleasant on the phone, confirmed the office manager was unavailable and took a message for me. The previous staff member that was extremely rude and hung up on me was Keara, not sure if I spelled her name correctly here. I hope Dr Hyler and his associates record the incoming calls and are able to listen back and address this issue as no patient should be treated this way.Since my cancelled appointment I have tried to call the office several times with no answer. I also left a message on Tuesday with no call back which prompted my call back to the office this morning.I have enjoyed the provider care I have received at this office but by looking at some of the recent reviews there is a lack of professionalism on the front end that needs to be addressed.
I originally came to this practice because it was the only one in Jacksonville that would accept two things I absolutely needed: they needed to accept my insurance and they needed to allow me to VBAC. I was really discouraged about this being the only practice and it being a 35 minute drive from my house, but the providers have completely eased my worries. I enjoy coming here. Everyone Ive been in contact with here has been wonderful and extremely professional. Im still only half way through my pregnancy but I honestly dont expect my opinion to change. I love that all blood drawing is done in house so it saves a trip to the lab. They are on top of getting referrals out that you may need and are more than willing to answer any questions and calm and concerns you may have. I would definitely recommend this practice to anyone needing OB care for a pregnancy.
Today was my first experience with Dr. Dudley and she was amazing. She was kind, informative, and made me feel very comfortable. She answered all my questions and was very patient and reassuring about what I have going on. The other gals working in the back doing drawing blood and taking BP and weight measurements were fantastic also. They were not very sweet and even though I was nervous to have blood drawn, they made the experience less stressful.I will say that the gal who works the front desk could should work on her demeanor with patients. She basically just stared at me when I walked in (it was my very first visit) and it made me feel idiotic that I didn’t know to just sign in and go sit down and wait for her to acknowledge me. Being that it was my first visit, I wasn’t sure what their process was for new patients. I understand that it can’t be easy working in a gynecologists office, and having spent a great deal of time doing after hours emergency medical calls did hospitals, gynecologist, and other doctors offices, I get that people are not always easy to deal with. I just wish she would have been more welcoming. All in all it seems more than worth it to deal with that for the great experience I had with the Dr. Dudley and the other gals.
Having my 4th child through them. Ive never had much concern or problems with any of my pregnancies, thus my appointments were always pretty quick and to the point which I like and prefer. They rotate who you see each time between midwives which doesnt bother me. In the end what matters is the doctor, and Dr. Hyler is THE best at delivering babies as well as bedside manner. Would never go to another.
At 30 weeks pregnant I had symptoms of UTI of which they tested me for. Two weeks later my symptoms were worse. I called to ask them what my results were because it had been two weeks! And I hadn’t heard back and they said the results weren’t in yet. I asked them to medicate me since I’mIn week 32 now and the danger to my baby outweighs any negatives of just taking medications at this point because if this is a UTI and it’s been brewing for two weeks there are significant risks of preterm labor. This place practices dangerously and doesn’t care about the true health of their patients or their babies. I will be heading to the ER becauseI can’t wait any longer which is what they’re asking me to do.
I am absolutely shocked that this office is still operating. From the time I made my first appointment on the phone to my current situation of trying to finish up billing with them, I have had nothing but hassles and have continually received inconsistent, conflicting information. There seems to be absolutely no organization or respect for patients or their time.I went for 2 visits, one at each office, before switching doctors all together. I was rushed through and given nasty looks when I asked questions. I also was made to wear a mask while the staff around me did not. I mentioned this and they claimed they can get away with it if they aren’t directly facing me. I’m certain this is not consistent with current CDC guidelines or standard operating recommendations for healthcare facilities. The front desk staff was rude and hung up on me without getting my information. The billing department does not return calls- the front desk tries to insist you relay messages through them, which does not work. Before my first appointment I was told I would be with the doctor, but when I arrived, they informed me I wouldn’t even meet him until my third visit. When I was initially referred to this office, I was assured the doctor is there for delivery, but in actuality, the doctor does not deliver unless you end up having a C-section.We opted to have the genetic blood testing performed and anxiously waited for the results. The office initially told me the results would show up on the third partys website and to make an account with them. I did this and checked every day for two weeks. Finally, at the end of that time window I called the company to find out that it is in fact, up to the doctors office to release the results and that theyd had them for a week! This was right before Christmas so we were worried we wouldn’t get our results before the holiday. I called the office and they told me more conflicting information, with attitude, saying that I was to call them for the results. Their very next statement was that I had to sign into my portal with them, which they had deleted as soon as theyd gotten a transfer request from my new doctor’s office (I was sent a notification of this), so I had to be sent a password reset. Once I’d gotten logged in, I realized that they had only released half of my results, assuming I only cared about gender and not the genetic findings.I am so disgusted with how I have been treated from start to finish with these people. I feel awful for anyone that ends up at their practice. I plan to escalate this to the highest possible level to ensure that their behavior and practices are on record so that someone else isn’t blindsided by their blatant disrespect and unprofessionalism like I was.
Dear Dr. Hyler, Dr. Ayuso & nurse practitioner Brittney Amador, there aren’t enough words to describe how thankful I am for your wonderful care during my pregnancy, labor & delivery. I would like to say a special “Thank You” to each and every one of you. Youve helped bring a perfect miracle into our lives and I couldnt be more thrilled with him! I sure appreciate you!
I recently became a patient at Dr. Hyler’s office for prenatal care. I am 16 weeks and have had 3 appointments. The first appointment was my ultrasound which was performed by a young woman who said “let me get the other tech to make sure I’m doing this right”. I met with Breanna Matzen after my 5 min ultrasound, she was very sweet and professional. My second appointment I met with a student midwife, again very sweet. However, I was taken back by my pelvic exam being at my second appointment.. Was also told by this student midwife, I would have to watch for preterm labor because I conceived at 3 months postpartum. THIRD APPOINTMENT, yet again a different midwife... this appointment was all of 5 minutes and we heard our baby’s heartbeat for all of 30 seconds... overall felt like a waste of time. Also, I was never informed of any balance on my account from my first appointment almost two month ago until my 3rd appointment... very unprofessional there. The fact that you do not see the same person every appointment is highly unsettling. Prenatal care and birth is one of the most fragile things, you should have built a relationship with your provider by the time of birth. How is this possible when you see several different people?Although, each and every midwife I met had great bedside manner, I regret switching to this office out of simple convenience and look forward to resuming the rest of my care with my precious midwife.
I just recently switched OBGYN, and I really had a great experience my last visit with Dr. Hyler and Associates Orange Park office! I seen the nurse practitioner (I can not remember her name), but she was amazing! She listened to everything I had to say and was very compassionate and understanding. She seemed to care about by health more then any doctor I have ever seen. She never rushed me or made me feel rushed.. The front desk associates were very kind as well, however the medical assistant that took my blood pressure, weight, etc. seemed like she was having a bad day, she never would smile or ask how I was or anything, But it didn’t really bother me that much.
My first visit was great, Brittany was very good and listening to all of my questions. The only problem the first visit was I had to ask before the visit was over how far along I was and when I was due. My second visit was horrible. Breana the midwife is rude, and unprofessional. I simply expressed my concerns over having a doctor deliver me rather than a midwife and she was offended and told me well I’m not guaranteed a doctor I will get whoever is on call. So choose wisely. She also did a sonogram to find the baby and told the other midwife in the room I don’t know why they make 10 week appointments. I was caught off guard and did not even know what to say. I was never told on my first visit that I would be rotated throughout the office and whoever was available who see me. When I spoke to the office manager about my concerns she didn’t seem interested. Needless to say I cancelled my appointments and went back to north Florida.
The staff at the front desk are great! Dr Phillips is amazing. If you need your lady bits checked out go see him. He answers all my wild questions. My surgery went so smooth. (Small disclaimer if you had previous belly button surgery and they forgot to tack it down he will do this, he said this is normal but I can no longer turn it inside out and that was my best trick). But really go see them. They’re amazing.
Provider : Kourtney Martin, CNM comes very highly recommended in this area. She is kind, open, honest and the farthest from judge-mental. She took her time with me, explained what she was doing and the purpose behind each action. She was informative, helpful, and most importantly gentle. I never had a positive experience with a gynecology visit/provider, until Kourtney. I have had complications that have caused pain and fear in the past, she heard and respected my concerns. I also worried about my wants not being appreciated or accepted by a provider ( VERY Holistic ) Kourtney made me feel right at home and steered me in a healthy direction that suited my wants and specific needs. I will be a patient of hers until she discontinues practice. So grateful.
Very unprofessional, my daughter wasted a month of her pregnancy waiting on these people. They told her they were going to take her as a patient and then brought her in for one sonogram. She never saw the Dr. and they didnt bother to schedule her for a follow-up appointment. She called today and they informed her they changed their mind and was not going to take her as a patient because she is too high risk. However they knew how high risk she was when they told her they would take her in the first place. And knowing she needed to see a Dr. and didnt bother to let her know they changed their mind. She desperately needed a Dr appointment and this unprofessional and uncaring Dr office let her sit in limbo with no care and no knowledge about not having a Dr at all which put her and the baby in danger!!! If she would have known in the beginning she could have found somewhere else. Beware of this Drs office because if you have any problems at all they might just drop you and not bother to even let you know. Once she had this experience we looked at the reviews on Google and wasnt shocked to see all the 1 stars. Heres a big shocker, I guess we should definitely look at reviews from now on.
Highly not recommended. During the birth of our 2nd daughter we were not notified until one month later that we had failed our quad screen (screening for genetic abnormalities) and tested positive. Marian the NP finally got ahold of me a month later, blood work was done on Nov 12 and I was notified over the phone Dec 7, she stated that it is not a red flag due to their being such a high false positive rate. Which after researching there’s only 20%. Not high at all. She stated she would see me at our next appointment. My husband and I decided on our own to drive up there that sameDay to do further testing. During the ultrasound she stated to the ultrasound tech that she didn’t know what she was looking at and asked the tech to explain. The tech was amazing! After stating there were issues with the heart Marian proceeded with she usually sees the heart correct itself by birth. She gave so much FALSE HOPE. Our baby ended up testing positive for trisomy 13 and had a life expectancy of a couple hours to several days. So many issues with this office. She later called after our baby had passed and told me that she finally got the results of the blood work and wanted us to know that there was only 1% chance that baby had trisomy 21. Her failure to communicate adequately with her patient and other entities of the patients care really made a difficult diagnosis that much harder. Don’t go here
I was happy with my first experience going into dr Hylers office, my new midwife seemed very nice and knowledgeable. My only complaint was the front office staff. I was a bit thrown off when I never saw her for any other appointments. I also never was returned phone calls and never called with any results including my anatomy scan. Everyone was still nice when I went in minus the front office. My latest issue was a concern with some stomach pain. My midwife left a voicemail saying to go to the ER and to call her back with any questions. I tried calling back bc I wanted to discuss my concerns with her which I felt was my right as her patient, this is what I hired her for. I didn’t feel it was anything that needed immediate attention and was hoping to get a referral rather than being a pregnant woman sitting in a ER full of sick people. I was of course met with the rude receptionist who refused to allow me to talk to my midwife. She said she’s not here go to the ER and hung up. She immediately called back and said I spoke with your midwife (clearly she was there and had lied to me). She refused to let me speak and just repeatedly said we can’t diagnose you over the phone go to the ER. I was trying to get out that I didn’t want a diagnosis just maybe a referral and that I’d love to talk to my dr vs the receptionist. She refused. I emailed my midwife saying I was disappointed, I got an email back from the manager with another extremely rude, unprofessional response. The whole thing was blown up and misinterpreted by their staff because they refused to listen to their patient, the one paying them. Everyone seems to be a bit full of themselves at this office and I will be going elsewhere. I had a traumatic first birth experience and was really hoping to form a bond with my new midwife to achieve the birth that I so desperately want and deserve. If you are looking for a relationship with the person that will be delivering your baby this is not the place. You are just another number.
I hands down love the office ladies here. They are always so sweet to me and always listen. Jessica is my favorite she is one of the PA’s. I highly recommend her to anyone I never ask to see anyone but her. She’s dealt with both of my pregnancies in the last 2 years. Thank you Hyler staff and Dr. Hyler for being simply AMAZING
I LOVE THE KINGSLEY OFFICE AND STAFF! I was going to their other location in middleburg but due one of their staff members got Covid they rescheduled me to the Kingsley office which I usually like to stay at one location with my pregnancy but being pregnant with twins and being so far along I didn’t want to miss appointments and tried their location. After my first visit at the Kingsley location with Dr.Jason and his staff, I immediately switched. Every time I go in they all are so happy and welcoming and makes being pregnant more comfortable. They are so quick with appointments and I haven’t ever waited long. Don’t get me wrong the staff in middleburg do their job but I never felt welcoming or the staff were happy with me being there. Thank you to the staff at the Kingsley office for always being welcoming and friendly when I come into my appointments. It really makes a difference when you don’t dread going to doctor’s appointments! Keep up the great work and can’t wait to see y’all soon! I would definitely recommend this practice and staff to anyone!
Stay away from this office!!!! Dr Hyler is awesome, but the rest of his staff is HORRIBLE!!!! You can rarely get someone to answer your question on the patient portal or return your call when leaving a message for the office staff!! Ive contacted the office and requested to speak to the office manager. Somehow, she is NEVER available and NEVER returns a phone call when you leave your name and number!!! My daughter recently delivered a baby while having Covid. She had some complications after being discharged home and Hylers office REFUSED to see her due to her having Covid!!!! She was diagnosed at the ER with peripartum cardiomyopathy after nearly going into heart failure! The cardiologist said she would have went into heart failure if we had not insisted she be seen at the ER. Hylers office was NO help when contacted by physicians when she was in the ER. If it was up to his office staff to care for her after delivery, she would have died!!!!! STAY AWAY FROM THIS OFFICE!!!!
I have always loved Dr. Hylers office ever since I started going there to see him as my Gynecologist. He and his staff helped me deal with my endometriosis problems and was always honest with me about issues, solutions and costs. Now that I am seeing him as an OB, I am even more satisfied there. They have aligned with my desires for my pregnancy and birthing journey and I couldnt recommend his office more.
I definitely wouldnt recommend this place to anyone after my experience today. I drove almost 45 mins to this location for prenatal care just to be told theyve cancelled my OB appointment & my ultrasound without informing me and cannot get me another one until the middle of August. Today is 6/28/17 the lady at the front desk was incredibly rude and loud making it known to the full waiting room my business (short hair, wore glasses & on the heavy side) . They apparently do not care about their patients and the health of their unborn child(ren)! This office would be much better if they found a new receptionist. I also havent met my delivering doctor in the 5 months Ive been coming to this location and only have 3 photos of my baby.
Love Love Love everyone. Bre delivered my chunky monkey. They went with my whole birthing plan. Talked about everything in detail, and were always there to talk when something was going on. During delivery I felt 1000000% comfortable, no pressure of any kind and absolutely loved my whole birthing experience. Dr.Hyler had a family emergency so he wasn’t there for the delivery part. But he is so devoted to his patients. He came and checked on us the next morning. I absolutely appreciate his whole staff at the St.Vincents location. And thankful enough to have been able to share this experience with them.
Horrible experience that I cant forget. I listened to my neighbor about how the doctors made sure they did everything possible before a csection was necessary and it was a lie. I should have known when I met the doctor for the first time. One of them is experienced and nice, one doesnt communicate and listens to what the nurses want, and one is known for sending people home if they dont have the baby in a certain time frame. You dont know who youre going to get because it depends on the shift. Its a total nightmare. Long story short. I had no one to speak for me when I couldnt speak for myself. I got the doctor that didnt communicate. They took advantage of the fact that I had the baby in the middle of the night and made me have a cesarean for reasons no one can explain. I was tortured alive on the operating table. St Vincent seems to have a lot of inexperienced people. Nurses made jokes to the doctor during my surgery and the anesthesiologist said he was going to be sick. Thats how alert I was. I cant forget the pain of this first pregnancy where I was completely healthy and there was no reason to do a csection. Please dont go to st Vincent in middleburg. Youre not stuck going to one place once youre pregnant either. Everyone might seem nice there. However, they are inexperienced and its causing me a lot of emotional pain. I cant stop thinking about the horror I went through that day. Its sad because its supposed to be a happy day.
So far three stars!I love Dr. Jason Phillips. Hes very knowledgeable and listens to you. But my problem is with some of the staff. Omg where do I start. They never answer the phone and when you do get someone theyre rude. Things dont get done unless you call several times! For example, I called several times regarding getting a breast pump through my insurance and each person I spoken to dont recall or see anything within the computer regarding the request. I had to go to the office in person to get it done. Also, spoke to the manager (tabatha) for the first time. Shes very condescending.Thats my experience so far, Ill keep everyone updated. Hopefully my post will cause some improvements. The Doctors and midwives seems great. I would hate to see this office go down due to the staff.
My experience with them in the beginning was good and it seemed like they really wanted the best for me as I approached the end of my pregnancy their bedside manners when out the window at the end of my pregnancy. After going to the hospital twice with extreme labor contractions at 38wks and 4 cm dilated I was sent back home due to the nurse perspective of being 2 cm dilated and continued experiencing the overwhelming contractions and pains. After getting to 39 1/2 weeks pregnant I started experiencing spotting and called Dr. Hyler’s office for some advice as to what I should do. When they called me back I tried to in as little words as possible describe what I was experiencing and my experience at the hospital so that I can get some advice or further instructions and I could barely get through one sentence with the person who called me back. Her words were “I’m trying to get to resolution do you want to come in to get checked or do you want to get introduced?”At this point it’s just seemed like they’re just trying to get me off the phone after just being on the phone for 10 seconds and not even listening to what had transpired and actually help me make a decision.I will be happy to get done with this pregnancy mostly because of how a bumpy of a road it was but to see how that welcoming demeanor and bedside manners melted away in the last few weeks of my pregnancy. It depresses me to see that these are the people they’re going to be bringing my son into this world .Some doctors/nurses were wonderful while some were rude and dismissive, one of the downsides of going to an office with too many chefs... you don’t know which one your going to get. I met Dr.Hyler just ONCE, when I was a few months pregnant.
I dont know if this office does not care about retaining new people or if it is always so unwelcome and unorganized. The receptionist did not even look at me or address me or instruct me to fill it papers until I had been sitting for 10 minutes then went up to ask. She was on her phone. I finally went to take a urine test and the bathroom was absolutely disgusting, moist towelettes everywhere and paper towels on the trash can lid. The assistant wrote my name incorrectly on the sample cup and copped an attitude when I told her it was wrong. She didnt fix it. I clearly signed a form saying I did NOT authorize students in the room. I did not catch the name of the woman who came in to do the examination but she did not explain why Dr. Hyler was not there and she brought in someone who looked like a student, even though she didnt specify that he was. When I got my birth control shot, again, the receptionist did not even look at me or acknowledge my existence. I heard that my shot was supposed to be delivered in one place and the assistant who administered it told me another thing then acted as if it would be an inconvenience to do what the examiner had told me we would do. I literally am so disgusted with this place and will NOT be going back. They did NOT make my health a priority but instead treated it like an inconvenience.
I’ve had multiple issues on multiple occasions making an appointment at this facility.I have called every day to make an appointment (as I am an EXISTING patient and am now 8 weeks pregnant) for the past two + weeks.I have called and lefts voicemails, requested appointments thru the portal and etc.I finally got tired of calling and decided to take off work and drive up to make an appointment in person yesterday. The girl at the desk just said ‘our internet and phones are down and we are low staffed… try calling again tomorrow’Didn’t write my information down or even try to accommodate me in ANY way. I’ve already had to go to the ER once as I have a terrible kidney infection on top of being pregnant. The lack of professionalism, and lack of care is unmatched. I could easily lose my baby sitting around waiting on these people to even answer their phonesAnd who has the time to drive up and make appointments in person.Save yourself the time and hassle and look 👀 elsewhere for OB… it’s obvious that taking care of their existing PREGNANT PATIENTS is low on their priority list. I could never trust them with bringing a life into this worldThey can’t even figure out their phones ….
I wish I had went to dr hyler for my pervious pregnancy but I glad I got him for my last one. He is an amazing doctor he’s very patient, sweet, makes you laugh all the time. My labor was 23 hours long and I was scared of having a c section because of my fear of surgeries but he was very patient in waiting for my little one to come out even after I gave up hope he still encouraged me to wait I was doing great and he didn’t want to do the c section. My prenatal visits were fast barely any waiting time. All the good reviews about dr hyler is spot on I would highly recommend him.
The WORST office experience… on multiple occasions I have had appointments canceled and changed without my approval and some times even without a notification. My 0830AM appointment was canceled at 0822AM, as I am pulling into the office. Not to mention if you call the office expect the phone to ring for the next 5 minutes, and then they might answer, but most of the time not. Dr. Hyler though, GREAT!
Jennifer Osteen is the Kindest Most Sweetest person ever. She is the Ultrasound Technician at Dr.Hylers Middleburg Location. This is our Third pregnancy seeing her. I seen a review above where someone talked about how nasty of a person she was with no bedside manners, and I must say you must have went to a different location and looked up the wrong name!! I do not know her on a personal level so that is not the reason I’m writing this review. We miscarried our first child and she stood by our sides and gave us multiple ultrasounds until we were ready to accept the news. She is encouraging and cares for every patient and baby she encounters! We are on our Third Pregnancy and she is honestly our favorite person to see. She treats our child like her own as soon as we walk through her doors. Please disregard the crabby ladies above review about her because it couldn’t possibly be true. (:
The office was nice/clean but I never even made it to the paper work. Arrived 10 minutes before my appt time to fill out my new patient paper work and give them my DL and insurance card. It was never even acknowledged that I signed it. 30 minutes AFTER my appointment time, I went to the front to make sure that I wasnt over looked. I let her know I was new and my appt was 30 min ago and Id been there 40 min and I still needed to fill out my paper work. She advised me there were still 3 people ahead of me that she needed to call up before me and to have a seat and theyd call me to the front when they were ready. I sat down for 5 minutes and thought, well why in the world would they over book so many new patients?? At that rate, Id be there for at least 2 hours.. I ended up just leaving. Never heard from them again. Unfortunate that the office/schedule is poorly managed because Ive heard good things about Dr Hyler.
This is another example of how our medical system is all about their numbers ($$$$) and nothing about the well-being of the patients. Wife went in for a test and apparently they rescheduled her appointment for the day prior, and not only did not inform us, but they made her feel like it was her fault. From the moment we went in the first time 6 months ago , we both had a bad gut feeling about it, but hey, the reviews were fairly decent at the time and they delivered at the St Vicent’s Hospital right besides our neighborhood so we pursued it. I cannot even say anything about the doctors because we are 6 months in this pregnancy and have yet to meet Dr Hayler or any of their associated doctors. Just a handful of unprofessional nurses. What kind of practice is that? Then they call two hours later, telling us we could go to labcorp for the test and it “would be alright”. Bear in mind that at this point my wife had already ate and the test require her to fast overnight. Did they really expect a pregnant woman to fast for over 13 hours because you can’t manage your calendar? Completely lack of empathy from anybody in that office. My wife is high risk and we can’t take treatment like this. It is being stressful as it is. We declined that “suggestion” and informed we were in the process of switching doctors. So now we are going around town and talking to friends to find a new doctor. Definitely a bad practice.
Both Drs. Hyler and Young have a very calming demeanor. They both are able to turn a perceived underwhelming experience into a very comfortable one.
Dr. Hyler delivered both of my babies! He is a great doctor and he makes you feel very comfortable! Hes very caring! He also delivered my niece and nephew and I got to watch them being born... that is how I chose dr hyler as my doc! I recently saw a nurse practitioner at his office PA Jessica, she was great too!
I wouldnt even give 1 star. This office should be closed down for good. Never new Gods work has to be postponed waiting on a Dr. So a baby can be born. Not to mention inducing labor only for the Drs. convenience. My daughter would still be here today if Dr. Hyler and his office paid more attention to lab reports.Normal at top of lab report doesnt mean your paps is normal when in comment section it says suspicious for carcinoma cancer. And yes slipped right through. Precancerous cells turned into Cervical cancer because it was just ignored , let go and people just to busy to do there job correctly. Today my 2 grandsons have no mom because of not caring and not paying attention. Read your lab reports yourself people dont just wait for a card in the mail saying negative paps. My daughter found out she had cancer 15 months later shes gone. Leaving behind a 22mth old and a 6 year old in 2016. Now they are 5 and 9. Lawsuit proved there was a 98% chance she would still be here if she had professional healthcare. Her oldest son cries often for his Mom. He misses her so bad. So it doesnt really matter how nice they all were or how clean the bathrooms are if your not here for your children they deliver . They act like they care then one day your family is writing this same story.Think about this hate to see families go through what ours have gone through. You never get over losing your daughter.Watch your grandsons cry themselves to sleep at night wanting there Mom. Everytime I see someone saying go to Dr. Hylers office they are so nice. Nice gets you nothing. I hope this saves a Mother , daughter, sister , Aunts life.
I recently had my daughter at the new birth center at St.Vincents. The whole staff was absolutely wonderful, Dr.Hyler was amazing. His bedside manner was great. I would highly recommend both for anyones experience!!! Id give them 10 stars if it was allowed.
The office staff is an absolute joke! First off they hardly ever answer the phones. Second off I called 2 weeks ago to schedule an appointment because I hadnt had a period since June 1st and they refused to see me, told me to call back in 2 weeks. I called back today and they have a 3 week wait! I would have already been able to be seen had they scheduled me when I first called! When I stated I needed something sooner the office manager told me to find a different practice! How unprofessional?!
Dr. Hyler was amazing when I was in labor. If I do have another pregnancy I will start with Dr. Hyler office. I had switched at about 32 weeks into my first pregnancy to his office. No regrets with dropping my old doctor.
Best OBGYN. All the staff truly cares and can be very helpful.I have been going to Dr. Hylers office for almost 6 years. I have given birth to two babies and had two misscarriages. They are so good. From the people who draw your blood to the ultrasound tech, the doctors, and midwives. The waiting room is never empty but they always take there time.I recommend all my friends to this OBGYN.
I have had the pleasure of having two of my five children with this practice. The entire staff is extremely kind and caring. I never feel rushed or that any concern is too menial. They are always happy to see you and excited for whats going on in your life. The wait had never been lengthy with the exception of power outage but that was unforeseeable. There are a couple people that I dont connect with but they were still kind and Im sure work well for others. I cannot express how amazing this group of people are!
Dr. Hyler’s office is trying to pin an additional $90 charge on me for an ultrasound that was only supposed to cost me $200. This ultrasound occurred months ago. I paid the $200 up front at the time of the visit. Again, I was told the ultrasound cost was $200 ONLY. I will not give them an additional $90 just because they feel like tacking it on. Of course, I’d tell them this if they had normal business hours.
This office should be shut down. Terrible billing issues and no relationship with the patient. They don’t keep notes on patients. They will make you wait for over an hour and then spend 20 seconds with you. They bill you for each visit even though it’s supposed to be covered by insurance. Insurance has no claims from them. They are stealing our money. We have called numerous times. They say the manager isn’t available but we will have her contact you. It’s been over a week now. Every time we call it’s the same thing. Was just speaking with someone on the phone and she said let me try and figure this out for you, I will put you on a brief hold. You might as well hang up when that is said because they aren’t coming back. They will make you sit there until they close at 12pm and hope you will forget about it over the weekend. This is not done and will be figured out. I will escalate this as high as I need too until this is figured out. Avoid this place. I can’t say it enough. Read the real reviews on this place.
Love dr. hyler! the staff on the other hand is a different story! I have been trying to get a surgical procedure set up for almost 7 weeks now! they will not return calls! the last 3 days I have called them I got the insurance company system is down (told me I could call and get all the info.. yea right) .. I called insurance comp. myself to find out why, they said our system is NOT down.. very unprofessional!
Terrible bedside manner by doctors and nurses. They don’t listen to the patients concerns at all. On behalf of someone in the medical field I would not recommend them to anyone and will make sure to steer others clear of this office in the future.
Everyone except for the receptionist are great there. The nurses and the Doctors are very nice and sweet very informative and understanding. But the receptionist lady ( short hair glasses chubby) yeah she has got to go that lady is so rude and so loud ,she talks to you like everyone around you and in the office have to know what the hell is going on and man she loves blaming everything on you even when its her fault for not scheduling things correctly...
The lack of communication is unreal. Rescheduled without being told, . Then told the wrong times. If my fiance wasnt about to give birth we would definitely be finding a doctor who listens and can communicate with his patients properly
Had my last three pregnancys with Kingsley location. I feel very comfortable , Im usually out of there in 45 minutes. Most of the staff are in great spirits and very welcoming I would highly recommend.
The Doctor is GREAT! I love his bedside manner, his style and his ability to listen. The staffing in his office is very hard to deal with. They rarely answer the phone, you have to call back multiple times and even when you speak to someone, they say they dont remember you the next time you call. I have been in pain for 9 days... first the staff treated me like I was somekind of pill head when I asked for pain management (mine is extreme) and then when I said I was actually looking to speak with him about how we can manage this, I was told he would definately call back before 5pm. I am now worse and have called 4 times, no answer and no response to any mesages left in the past few days.... heres hoping I dont have to go to the hospital again...
Terrible office. I’m traumatized by how I was treated when I saw Dr. Phillips for my last pregnancy. They also really need to get their billing together. I switched at 30 weeks when I realized I didn’t feel safe in their care and regret not switching sooner.
If it was not for Dr. Hyler and staff my Daughter would not be here right now. Long story short my primary obstetrician refused to see me because I couldn’t make 400+ payment every visit until my 7 month appointment even though I had Primary Insurance and also Medicaid. I sought a different oppinion with DR. Hyler and because of my history of miscarriage the next day I was in surgery to get a cerclage.Cervical cerclage, also known as a cervical stitch, is a treatment for cervical incompetence or insufficiency, when the cervix starts to shorten and open too early during a pregnancy causing either a late miscarriage or preterm birth.I can never thank DR HYLER or his staff enough for saving my daughters life. I am eternally grateful.THANK YOU!Daynett
From the beginning Dr. Hylers staff was phenomenol; expert care in a warm and loving environment . Nurse practitioner Jessica gets a gleaming gold star! As for delivery, my emergency c section performed by Dr. Dudley was efficient and handled so professionally it blew me away! Saved baby and me with a quick healing scar! Lets not forget my post partum visits in hospital by angel nurse staffers and Hyler himself!AMAZING!!!
Mixed feeling. From the verry first apt I filled out a paper about not wanting a student involved in my apts. Well seems as almost every other apt there was one instead of the midwife. Labor and delivery was great I had a emergency c section. After baby had my first post OP apt and once again had student I filled out a post partum paper had a few signs on that as well as cried during the apt and she blew it off. Now 4 months later Im suffering from server post partum when it should have been taken care of from the get go.
Best obgyn doctor around! Dr. Hyler performed two c-sections on me. he saved me and my boys lives each time! the staff is fantastic as well! highly recommend!
They have a call line for urgent needs but they will NEVER call you back! Also, the office is dirty, and the restroom had absolutely no soap or paper towels let alone toilet seat covers for an ob/gyn office. I told the staff about it and then used the restroom again after my appointment and they still didn’t have any soap or paper towels.
Very very unprofessional. Very bad experience stuff was very rude not very welcomed sitting in waiting room for almost an hour and waited a little over an hour in the room before the doctor came in to see me. He put me on a birth control that he said would be ready an hour after i leave there. It took me a week to finally get someone to listen to me instead of being rude to find out why my birth control was never called it. Every time I call I alway get some rude lady. Very poor does not care about their patients.
Wouldn’t recommend them to anybody they’ll try to steal all the money out of you that they can. One minute insurance won’t cover something and then after hassling with them for days once they realize you won’t pay them out of pocket for it they’ll somehow fix it and the insurance will pay. The nurses and doctors are good, but dealing with the girls up front is usually a nightmare
The staff is very nice and professional . Also theres never a long wait youre seen at the time you were scheduled. the doctors take time out with their patients. The team work and kindness they show patients is phenomenal!
He delivered my daughter in May 2016 via a successful VBAC. It was the best experience I have ever had; I wouldnt want any other doctor there for any of my future kids deliveries.
Absolutely horrible delivery experience. Zero communication. Was forced into a c section without consultation or explanation. Nothing was checked, no consent given, and no options given. Epidural did not work and all pain was felt during surgery. If you are here get out now.
So far every appt I have had has been on time! That says a lot for an office. My last gyn always ran at least 30 mins late. Love the staff here.
Doctors hyler is really great. But his staff are rude specially front desk. Dont smile or greet, dont call when my result of the test is done I always have to call, dont say anything when you first walk in, and unprofessional
Whitney and Debbie are the best! All of the staff are pleasant, positive, and professional. The convenience of the two office locations is an added bonus.
Jennifer has been absolutely amazing with both of our children. Could not ask for a better and more caring/professional ultrasound tech. Thank you Jennifer.
They NEVER answer the phone. I went on last Tuesday to get test done they told me that they would call me back the next day with the results.. I never got a call back the next day so I called for my results a couple days later but they apparently didn’t have them and they said they would call back but no call. Well here it is over a week later and nothing.. I’m not surprised though I switched doctors.
They treat you like royalty here. They don’t discriminate and they make you feel important. The staff here genuinely care about your needs and they always call you back if you leave a message or have a concern. I LOVE them! I highly recommend this place!
Phillips did my c section he made me feel comfortable and I felt like he was the best one Ive seen other than dr hyler but the entire staff is great only down side is they sometimes dont pick up but other than that everything is great !
The office staff is unprofessional. Doctors have been very kind when I see them. Wait time is very long, even with an appointment. Not my favorite OBGYN but unfortunately there are not too many other options for the OP/Middleburg area.
I really like the doctors ALOT. Thry are very nice practitioners. They have issues with answering phones and portal questions. You often won’t hear back and problems don’t get addressed quick or at all unless you call back.
This is the best OB doctor I have ever been to the staff and Doctors are always so super nice I will never go to another OB to have my kids they are always clean and very attentive to your health I have never had a bad experience there and I have many friends who also go to see them also and they also love this office and the staff I can’t expre how great this office is
They were quick to give us a past due bill. No follow up or any other word from them otherwise. Smh
Quick & efficient. The office was clean and organized. I love the provider I had, she treated me like a human instead of a walking paycheck & understands my health conditions
Jessica is the best to work with. Im relocating and really gonna miss her. Also dr.hyler is great and should deliver your baby!
I’m literally a month left from my due date and just now being told then I can’t be seen nor will they deliver my baby due to my insurance. I’ve been pregnant since July 2020. A month before my baby is here & they can’t deliver me. Do you know upsetting & inconsiderate that is?
Best doctor ever. Dr. Hyler is an amazing gynecologist and a wonderful human being. His patient care and bed manners are great.
Very rude and unprofessional staff. Does not seem in the least worried about getting a higher risk OB pregnancy in their doors without a month long wait. Disgraceful!
Was visiting a friend at the hospital. I was from out of town and I would like to thank Dr Hyler for having a open Wi-Fi connection that I was able to use. It was greatly appreciated. Thank you a bunch.
The only ob practice to go to! Only wish he could be my dr for everything as most of the family practice drs in the Fleming/orange park area are nothing to write home about IMO.
Ive been going to Dr. Hyler since he started his cilivian practice. I have nothing but GREAT experiences from Dr. Hyler, Dr. Hall and the Staff at the Kingsley location. Ive a patient of his for 23 years now.
I love the doctors and amazing staff. I have had one child with them already, and am currently expecting and have already started there. I love and recommend them.
First time going and Dr Debbie Hall was excellent. Thank you for your kindness. Office staff was very helpful.
They never respond to the patient portal. And when you call, they say to use the portal. It’s so frustrating to not get help when you need it.
I love this dr! He did amazing with my first baby and cant wait to use him again for my second delivery!
I love Dr. Hylers staff don’t get me wrong but the only problem I have is I can NEVER get ahold of them when I have questions. They never pick up the phone 🤦🏽♀️
He delivered me high risk, and it was the best experience I could have hoped for. Great doctor for sure.
Very unprofessional staff will try to fight with u and will have to explain that u didn’t do anything never been anywhere like this . Do not go here!!!
Love it here.My husband and I feelComfortable and welcomed
Love the doctor. Staff is non-cooperative, never answers the phone and does not return calls.
Debbie Hall was great! Definitely recommend this practice!
Best obgyn staff while I was pregnant with my first child
All of the staff was so polite and the CMN Debbie is awesome.
Worst office ever- would never refer anyone to come here.
Dr. Hyler is the best Dr. I’ve ever had.
Love everybody there! Wonderful & caring people.
Wonder place everyone here is great if i had to choose a place to go it would be here again again thanks
The BEST!! Him and his partner Ayuso.
They are so unprofessional. DO NOT GO THERE.
He knows kids and is good with them
Very good job thank you all
Wondering why they not open on Fridays
Love the staff and the doctors.
Best obgyn around!!
Will not be returning.
