I cant explain in words the gratitude I have for this place. I went through 8 years of infertility watching family and friends getting pregnant multiple times. They didnt sugar coat anything. I knew exactly what was going on. Dr. Corfman and staff are so welcoming and caring. Thank you guys for my boys, I seriously couldnt have experienced motherhood without you.
I went to this clinic in 2020-2021 and some of the experiences I had still stick with me. I ended up pursing treatment in another state including doing 2 rounds of IVF so have a comparison. The doctor was fine but trends very old school medicine. For instance one of the first things my new RE noticed was lab work that was drawn at Midwest center for reproductive health that was indicative of starting me on levothyroxine. It does make me wonder if the multiple IUI procedures were useless given my TSH was not under control. My lab work showed my TSH was 3.17 when in reproductive aged women who are trying to conceive that number should be 2.5.More concerning was the poor bedside manner. First, I never saw the doctor after the initial evaluation. Secondly, an NP/PA hurried me out after an IUI I had. Most concerning was how dismissive they were of my beliefs. They made me sign a waiver saying I’d consider selective reduction (aka a fancy word for abortion) in order to move forward with an IUI. So of course I signed knowing full well they couldn’t force me to do any such thing.I think the doctor is trying to be at all his locations and is unwilling to relinquish control to other providers where it is very much needed. Nurses (LPNs even in some cases) shouldn’t be doing IUIs. A RE should be present for major procedures. A RE should be very much involved in the running of his practice and that’s not the case here. I get it’s more lucrative to have lower paid staff doing that but there comes a fine balance.
In brief: Positives: They call back quickly.Negatives: Rude staff, weird MD, new embyrologist overwhelmed. And they dont wear masks!Rude staff:I was treated very rudely by one nursing staff in particular, her name is Tiffany. She called me to schedule IVF cycle and could not take the time to slow down. She was extremely inattentive to details, dismissive of my questions, it was very hard to keep excusing her phone behavior. I started shaking afterwards because of how rude she was. I stopped the conversation short and asked to speak to her supervisor. Her nurse supervisor called me back and while generally less rude, she was not apologetic. I dont trust that their staff understand what being professional means. Or even just curteous as one human to another.Embryologist KeplerHe seems nice and competent, but hes new to MCRH and made several communication errors that were very unhelpful to my situation - he told me it would be okay for something to happen in parallel, and then the MD Corfman asked me to meet in person and he said that he doesnt want things done in parallel. That took over a month to clarify. Why not talk to each other, guys? Then per nursing staff he was very busy in the middle of IVF cycles and took 2mo to get started on a time sensitive item for me. No apology, but to his credit, when I did get a hold of him he was informative. They dont wear masks! What probably should have registered as a warning sign was how the nursing staff and Dr. Corfman were all not wearing masks in the middle of the pandemic surges. Multiple visits over course of a year. It was so silly - like here I am, wearing a mask, my husband wearing a mask, and theyre all not wearing one. One day, one of the nurses asked me out of the blue would you feel more comfortable if I put on a mask? I said yes, relieved. Then next visit they all forgot about it. Dr. Corfman really looked like he didnt want to be bothered with such things. My goodnesss, what a place. It hurts me and my husband, as we had done all the paperwork and pre-testing, but may this serve as a warning to others.
I will never be able to properly thank Dr. Corfman and his amazing staff for giving me the gift of motherhood. Dr. Corfman held my hand while I cried when finding out I would not be able to conceive on my own which goes to show the compassion he has for his patients. His staff walked me through the IVF process listening to my concerns every step of the way making me comfortable and heard. I feel incredibly lucky to have been able to work with this clinic.
2021 update: we started with MCRH again and this time the experience was different. It was not nearly as personal and I didnt feel as I was able to ask questions about our second time process. It didnt feel like it did previously and therefore we transferred to a new clinic. From this experience, I would no longer recommend2019 - I recommend MCRH - they are above outstanding. We started our fertility journey here and always felt that everyone went above and beyond to support us, bring smiles, and give us the best care. Dr. Corfman was incredibly knowledgeable, listened to everything we were feeling and wondering, and made us an action plan to start our journey right away. The nurses were the kindest and most caring people! The admin and front desk staff always greeted you with smiles and chatted away. At MCRH, I truly felt that everyone cared about our journey and was there to cheer us on!We are so lucky to have been under their care and now expecting our first now in a few months!
Im not quite sure if my husband or I will ever be able to properly thank Dr. Corfman and all of his staff. We walked into his office for the first time not knowing a thing about IVF- but just knowing we would need it to get pregnant. I did a lot of research before settling on a doctor, and came across MCRH. I read through their handbook before our consult and discovered I would need to lose about 70lbs before I would be seen. Dr. Corfman requires you to be at a BMI equal to or under 30. And honestly- I needed to lose the weight anyway. I appreciated already having a doctor who wasnt going to sugar coat things. Dr. Corfman was knowledgeable and explained the entire IVF process to us our first consult. It was determined we could start for their next series. Every staff member we encountered and interacted with was phenomenal, and I never once felt like I was asking too many questions, or asking dumb questions. I always felt like the staff was here for us, sensitive to our situations, and in our corner. We paid roughly $19,000 for our treatment and to be honest I feel like that is a great price. I never expected this to be cheap. We had a successful fresh IVF cycle and are excited to welcome our little miracle in Feburary of 2021.
My husband and I went to MCRH after 13 months of trying on our own. We immediately felt welcome at MCRH. Dr. Corfman and his staff are the best of the best. He answered all of our questions and we never felt like our time with him was rushed. We have unexplained infertility and we tried multiple treatments starting with timed intercourse with medication and hormone supplements and then IUI, before eventually deciding to pursue IVF. Every appointment the nurses were so kind and I felt like they knew me, I wasn’t just another patient! Every step of our IVF process was explained to a T and they helped it go as smooth as possible. We felt the staff were super respectable of our beliefs and our plans for eggs/fertilization, etc. We were ecstatic when we found out we were pregnant after our fresh cycle IVF!! Even if that was not the case, I believe we would still have glowing reviews of MCRH as our experience there was nothing short of great. Thank you MCRH!
Dr Corfman and the entire staff were professional and friendly throughout the whole process. When I had a last min request to change my treatment plan over the holiday, they were understanding and flexible. After struggling for almost two years (and one miscarriage) my husband and I did two months of treatment at the MCRH and had a successful pregnancy with an IUI!
I’ve been meaning to write a review for years! We did IVF for both of our girls and this clinic is the absolute best you will find. Other clinics should start mirroring the way this clinic is ran, it’s unlike any office I’ve ever been to...from scheduling, communicating information, staff, procedures-everything is smooth. Dr. Corfman, ALL the nurses, lab technologists, coordinators are wonderful. I’ve never met a group more kind and sympathetic! Don’t waste your time anywhere else just being a ‘number.’ Go here and be prepared to feel like you matter. Dr. Corfman actually has passion for what he does and can easily explain why he does certain treatment options, great communicator! I can’t say enough about the nurses too, the best. After I got pregnant, I was bummed I had to do follow-up appt’s at a different office as I soon realized absolutely NO one is even close to as good as this clinic.
I am happily pregnant and entering my second trimester! We became pregnant on our first IUI at MCRH. I really liked Dr. Corfman, and the nursing staff was amazing. We are so thankful & know it isnt always this quick for many couples. Our first scheduled procedure was cancelled - so be sure to ask lots of questions when there is a complication, because there is lots being monitored, and it can be confusing. But they want to help you understand what is going on and so much is learned at every appointment, which helps them tailor the treatment specifically for you.All staff was very professional and sympathetic during the treatment process. I will return when its time to try for the next one.
Not only is the team at MCRH knowledgeable but they understand the rollercoaster ride of infertility and handle it with compassion and empathy. My husband and I experienced infertility and it was because of Dr. Corfman and his team that we welcomed our baby girl into this world on May 13th. We began our journey at another OB clinic and due to frustrations with the staff we decided to switch clinics. It was the best decision we could have made!
Absolutely recommend this place! Don’t wait another second to regain your hope of having a precious baby! Doctor Corfman is super smart and his nurses rock! These people are way smarter than your average fertility doctor. Also we live 9 hours from here. Inquire about his satellite clinics he works with! Go here and grow your family!!! You won’t regret it!
Dr. Corfman and his team changed our lives. Our little girl was born via IVF almost a year ago and she is the light of our lives. The entire team was friendly, helpful and honest. We trusted the process and it worked. THANK YOU to Dr. Corfman and team.
I’ve never had a more positive experience with a medical care provider. Dr Corfman and his entire team treat you with the care like that of a family member. Words can’t express the gratitude I have for him and his team. I highly highly recommend him to anyone who may need a reproductive specialist!
Our experience at MCRH, in the care of Dr. Corfman and his outstanding team, exceeded our expectations at every turn. The professionalism, compassion, and expertise exhibited over the course of our journey has set a new standard for us as we evaluate healthcare providers going forward. With a beautiful, healthy newborn baby, we couldn’t be more thankful with the result, and will always be appreciative of the journey MCRH led us through.
Im pregnant! It is because of Dr. Corfman that I regained my fertility after my husband and I had been trying to build our family for four years. He initially diagnosed me with Lean Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) in January of this year. He treated this pharmacologically, and I also took lifestyle change steps to manage this. After two cancelled IUIs due to overstimulation of my ovaries by femara, he referred me to the OBs at Clinic Sofia Maple Grove (also excellent) to perform a laparoscopy in April of this year. I was diagnosed with Stage III Endometriosis (something other physicians had missed for years!). I felt amazing at my two-week post-op, and my husband and I conceived our baby BOY during the first femara/IUI cycle after my surgery - due Feb 2018! Dr. Corfman always presented our medical options with recent clinical data and a warm, personable demeanor. Dr. Corfman gave me my life back. I would highly recommend him and his highly responsive, knowledgeable nursing team!
Excellent support staff and physician, willing to guide patients through their options, but recognizing that ultimately it is the patients decision. We underwent IVF at this clinic and were impressed with all aspects of care. The IVF procedure was successful and we couldnt be more thankful. I would highly recommend this clinic to anyone without hesitation.
I cant recommend this clinic enough. As a previous patient at CRM who had a very negative experience, MCRH was a breath of fresh air. They were so much easier and better to work with on all fronts. I look forward to referring to them with confidence.
Absolutely rude!!! If a couple is trying to find out info on how to have a baby and they turn you down? Isnt that the exact opposite helping a couple trying to move for a better future? I dont know who i talked to but she was very rude and very disrespectful...im shocked!!!
Wonderful experience - staff were intelligent, attentive, and caring. I cant thank Dr Corfman and the nurses enough for the amazing care.
If I could give them 10 stars I would. Dr Corfman and his staff were nothing short of amazing. I highly recommend this office to anyone in need of treatment/care.
Not a plus size friendly clinic. If you are over a 30BMI- forget it. That being said they staff was very nice.
Dont do it. Keep looking. You deserve better.
