I held off writing a review because I have friends who used Dr. Miller 3-5 years ago and swear by him. After receiving a bill for storage (in which I have no embryos to store), I am at the end of my rope. My initial intake with Miller was great. He assured me that he could help, that I seemed to be an easy case, and all is well. After two unsuccessful rounds, there was no explanation as to why my eggs would not mature. Was told to try to lose weight-fair--but a question I had asked at intake to see if this was the reason and was told no.After speaking with two outside Dr, they thought I was retrieved early both times. The second retrieval we questioned if it was the right size due to #s and levels, were told yes but we cant speak to Miller directly. We still feel we were rushed to a retrieval to avoid having it on a holiday (Thanksgiving) when he admitted he was unavailable the T/F/S. Of course, we are not doctors so we cannot truly say it was X that caused the failure, and I know its even a guessing game for doctors sometimes, but the issue with communication and respect towards the patient was a common theme. He is rarely, if ever, available to connect with. We were told we should feel LUCKY to have a 5AM Sunday phone consult after a failed retrieval. The office changed the time of the consult to 6:30 AM Saturday without informing us and we received a voice mail saying how rude it was that we did not answer (we had no idea the time had changed). I wish I could attach the voicemail to the review. You speak to a different nurse every time. The best nurse there by FAR is Laura- only person we felt like actually listened. Courtney is a WONDERFUL ultra sound tech. Naperville office is better ran that PR.The PR office is poorly managed and staffed. I waited over an hour one day because the nurses werent there yet. There is so much I could say,- I write this to say, I think he is really smart, but I think he has limited time for folks that are not a unique case. If you are a patient that falls outside of his speciality or interest, good luck. The office disorganization is frustrating, and communication is minimal, and tone can be quiet disrespectful.
Dr. Miller is an incredibly kind and skilled physician. He had me in surgery within 3 weeks. His staff however, is horrible. I have never heard a good morning or a thank you. They are all incredibly condescending and rude. None of them smile and I couldnt tell you any of their names because they never introduce themselves. I just have to remember that Im here for his skill and thats it. I can fight and advocate for myself for anything else I feel I need.Update: I had an incredible surgery at Lutheran General in October and am pain free. I went to the Naperville office this morning and it is MUCH better than the Park Ridge office.
These negative, one-star reviews are highly suspicious. My experience with Dr Miller was nothing but amazing. He successfully diagnosed and treated a condition other providers ignored. Both locations in Naperville and Park Ridge are all extremely modern and clean. His staff is nothing but pleasant and helpful in answering questions.
Instead of simple blood work this mony hungry butcher ordered most expensive tests. This unprofessional, arrogant, nasty creature doesnt deserve to practice medicine.
Dr. Miller is a wonderful doctor, super knowledgeable with years of experience, he helped me get pregnant with IVF at very advanced maternal age, I have a beautiful daughter and super greatful that he was recommended to me.
Dr. Miller figured my issue which no other dr could and because of him have my 2 children, I will forever be grateful.
