Excellent care and easy appointment scheduling. All staff: front desk, nurses & doctors very friendly, efficient and on point. Loved the communication about cost upfront and throughout the appointment (co-pay, what was left on deductible if any other costs came up and they let me cost of a test before administering) EXCELLENT ACROSS THE BOARD
I had a fantastic experience from the time I scheduled my appointment online until I walked out of the office. The service was outstanding, the facility was impeccably clean, the staff displayed professionalism and a wonderful attitude, and there were minimal wait times. The doctor was both knowledgeable and compassionate. My only criticism pertains to the parking situation – its advisable to park on the street rather than next door due to strict security restrictions. Thank you once again for the exceptional service!
Was so easy to schedule the appt and didn’t wait too long. This location is very clean, stellar bedside manner and they care about the patients and discomfort level. My daughter commented that this was a great Urgent Care facility. Much better than the ones she’s gone to. Definitely recommend this location.
I scheduled an appointment to save time, but it ended up being quite the opposite. After checking in, I waited over 20 minutes without any update. Additionally, I was incorrectly informed that I had a coinsurance charge of over $150. With my double coverage, this should have been handled by billing my primary insurance first and then my secondary insurance. This mistake caused unnecessary frustration and needs to be corrected.
I been coming to this urgent care for quite a while now the staff are super nice they really care about there patients. waiting times are never a long wait the facility is emaculent always clean I will never go anywhere else quality care you can trust.
Payed way too much for a doctor that wasnt super helpful. I was asking her questions and she only seemed to care about giving me tests and kind of made me feel dumb for asking questions about my sickness. They really want you in and out asap. It’s a bummer that healthcare is so expensive these days while the service is mediocre. If my appointment was less than $75, then maybe I wouldn’t care too much. But for $150+ I would expect a more considerate doctor.
I would like to give a shout out and thank you to Julia at the reception area. I was on my way to work and had to use the restroom, so I entered the building and asked to use the restroom. Julia was so pleasant and said yes, just go through the door. Thanks Julia. You came to my rescue!!😊
30 minute wait despite having an appointment. Submitted all of the documentation online before coming to the office but had to do it again. Issues with insurance - apparently the Anthem Blue Cross system was down so I had to pay out of pocket (and will get reimbursed later). Dr. visit was very short and did not seem thoughtful… felt like she wanted to just rush us out of the room with meds and be done with us.
The worse experience ever. I made an appointment with them for my husband to be checked and since we are under Blue of California/ Ultimate Group and they don’t accept this insurance. They were really rude to us. This so disappointed specially since my husband was really sick. I am so angry at them.
Clean place, reception is fast, good location, parking was easy, nurse was kind and friendly to my 4 year old daughter, doctor was quite young and a little distant - but she’s ok, nurse took the tests quickly and we got the lab results same day with just half an hour waiting. A little expensive on the co-pay with our UHC insurance and tests were not covered
Is it small clean and not so busy, you get in fast and doctos seems knowledgeable, been in and out for less than 1 hour, the only problem was that they charge you for co pay before investing how much insurance will cover and if insurance most of the visit they give you credit back so you have to call them again in a month to get thr money back via check which could be annoying, the are using very old still paper base documentation so you cant put your credit card on file so they charge it later, they will do it in advance!!
I went to Advanced Urgent Care in order to take care of my preop requirements. I needed bloodwork, an EKG and a general exam. My blood pressure was taken by a very nice male tech. When I told him that I am sometimes a hard “stick” when it comes to taking blood, he deferred to a very lovely.but inexperienced intern. After trying twice and being unable to draw blood, she then attempted to do my EKG (twice at the doctors direction) and the doctors then told me I needed to go to a cardiologist because I had had a heart attack (my cardiac doctor said I’ve never had a heart attack) so the bloodwork had to be done at quest, labs, and thank God my cardiologist was willing to take me the next day because her referrals for an EKG at the cardiologist couldn’t do it and suggested I reschedule my surgery. What a complete waste of time. Also, despite having made an appointment to go in, I waited a half an hour before I was seen. Not sure if I ‘ll ever go back!
I love this urgent care. Everyone is very helpful and friendly. The appointments run smoothly and I have never felt rushed. Great medical care.
Online appointment scheduling. Fast, attentive, and courteous service. On-site pharmacy that was able to fill all 4 of my prescriptions.
After speaking with my TeleHealth provider I was recommended this urgent care. I went in for eye pain and soreness. The doctor barely spent any time looking at my eye and mentioned referring me to an optometrist. She causally asked me if I wanted eye drops since I mentioned also having dry eyes, which I was open to. I left undiagnosed, no referral was sent (I made my own appointment without any referral) and when I went to get the eye drops they were not covered by my insurance and coated $760 (I did not purchase them.) My care wasn’t negative, but I felt like I didn’t receive any care and just wasted a lot of time.
I have had very positive experiences with the male doctor here. This review is specific for covid treatment denial from a different doctor for no real reason. I tested positive for covid at home and had been moderately symptomatic for 3 days. I waited 3 hours. They tested me again and I had a false negative (I am still testing positive at home days later.) They denied me paxlovid despite my health conditions of fibromyalgia, chronic bronchitis, and a neurological disorder, along with obvious symptoms, and stated it was because I was young and healthy. My doctor this time was a woman and it sucks to say she put me down for mentioning that I was worried I would get worse and wanted treatment as it was my first time with covid. She stated covid was like a cold now and that my issues with chronic bronchitis arent an illness. I felt this was a personal opinion rather than fact, aa chronic lung conditions are on the list for qualifying for paxlovid. They didnt test me again despite my symptoms, I guess I shouldve asked?? When my husband went in 2 days later with symptoms, all he had to do was SAY he tested positive and the male doctor prescribed him paxlovid. I am now worse than my husband. I have been here many times when my doctor was closed and had a good experience. I was shocked at how fast I was dismissed, but in this case it must be that I am a lying woman I guess! Doctors are underprescribing a viable treatment and possible prevention for long covid and should maybe remember false negatives are very common. You should be aligned in your approach to covid and not dismiss young patients, many of whom can and will get long covid.Edit: Since I cant reply to the owner who noted they cant find me in their system, I go by my middle name. It is too late for me to take paxlovid, so there is nothing left to do but wait it out, because my symptoms arent severe enough for a hospital visit but it sure has been an awfully annoying 8 days of testing positive, 10 days of symptoms. Most mild to moderate covid patients should be getting paxlovid unless they have kidney conditions that it would impact negatively. Antigen tests are unreliable and you should trust your patients who say they test positive. Why would anyone actively want pax mouth if they didnt need it?
It was a nice looking place, but for any veterans who looked them up, they do not take your VA insurance. That is old information in the VA database, so save yourself some time.
Great customer service...girls in the front desk make you feel so comfortableThanks girls thats something we all need specially coming to the urgent care...great vibes....Juana and Yeni you girls are amazing..great team...
Except the short waiting time, I don’t really understand the good reviews of this place, I didn’t feel much compassion from the doctor and staff, esp the front desk, all I felt was that they wanted to make sure I made the payment and avoid any responsibility. The visit was not helping at all.
Great that you can schedule an appt to avoid the long wait… receptionist was courteous and personable. Only issue was having to wait in the crowded waiting room with lots of people coughing and some I suspect experiencing fever.
This place always takes care of me and the staff are amazingly helpful and friendly. If I ever need to go to the doctor the day of I choose to come here. I recommend this place to anyone.
Title: Disappointing Experience at Advance Urgent Care of Pasadena: Unnecessary Charges and Lack of ServiceI recently visited Advance Urgent Care of Pasadena seeking a dog bite evaluation and a rabies shot, but my experience at the clinic was highly unsatisfactory. To begin with, I was charged a staggering $180 for an evaluation that provided no real value. The doctor simply confirmed what I already knew – that I needed to go to the emergency room for a dog bite. This information was obvious and precisely why I sought their services in the first place. It was incredibly frustrating to be charged such a substantial fee for an answer I was well aware of. It’s not even about the money, I will willingly pay if I got the service I required but I didn’t even get the rabies vaccine.Furthermore, prior to even signing in, I made sure to ask if the clinic provided the rabies shot service. I was assured that they did, which is why I chose to go ahead with my Advance Urgent Care. However, after signing in, I was informed by the doctor during consultation that they did not have the rabies shot available at that time. This lack of preparedness and discrepancy in communication left me deeply disappointed and concerned about the reliability of the clinics information. The combination of being charged an exorbitant fee for a redundant evaluation and the unavailability of the essential service I sought has left me with a profound sense of dissatisfaction. Additionally, my attempts to address these issues and seek resolution have been met with minimal response and understanding from the clinics staff.Overall, my experience at Advance Urgent Care of Pasadena was characterized by unnecessary charges and a lack of essential services. The clinics failure to deliver the expected care and their disregard for the importance of effective communication have left me questioning their professionalism and commitment to patient well-being.I sincerely hope that Advance Urgent Care of Pasadena takes this feedback constructively and makes the necessary improvements to ensure a better experience for future patients. Transparency, accurate information, and fair pricing are fundamental aspects that should be prioritized in any healthcare setting.
From the moment I arrived everyone was very nice and polite, the service was great, nurses and doctor exceptional. Very neat and clean place, I will recommend this place.
The non specific, 5 star reviews are dubious.I actually was a patient. Checkin staff are rude and unhelpful - they want their forms and to follow the process and the human side be damned. The appointment was a rushed 4 min visit - with unhelpful doctor, didn’t take much time to learn my background with asthma and the fact that I had been fighting a cold/sinus symptoms for 3 weeks and she didn’t introduce herself (I got her name after the appt from the front desk who at first would only disclose the first name until I pressed for the docs last name fishy! Dr. Anait Ovsepyan) They will refuse verify insurance ahead of time over the phone with your insurance information (most doc offices do that) and when you arrive make you sign an estimated bill and check to see how much your deductible is, you pay for the services and then they run it through insurance slowly. Between the rude staff, rushed visit, and the demanding “ pay us now”. I cannot recommend this place. There are tons of Urgent Care alternatives in Pasadena. Find another one.
I called an hour before and they said I could come in. The woman at the front desk was very rude and said they are no longer seeing any patients even though was 2 hours before they closed and there was NOT ONE person in the waiting room.
Super nice and made time for my questions/concerns even though they were really busy. Be sure to make an appointment !
I had an appointment at 11am, I was ultimately seen around 12pm so that was my first annoyance.Front desk staff are fine but not friendly.By the time I saw the doctor, the nurse charted incorrectly that I was there for a runny nose. I corrected the doctor saying I was there for chest discomfort. I could tell the doctor was trying to get this wrapped up asap, she was talking very fast and did not adequately explain what she thought my diagnosis was and did not tell me what she was prescribing or why. I asked about doing a chest x ray (as this was suggested by a Telehealth doctor that morning) and she just apathetically said something like, “you can if you want”.We did the x ray, they said it looked normal. When I called the pharmacy to ask what was prescribed, they said it was a nasal spray and an anti inflammatory. I asked if that treated chest discomfort (for what I’m now assuming is chest congestion) and they said no, it’s for runny noses (among other things). So the doctor prescribed things based on something a nurse accidentally charted down even when I very plainly said I was there for chest discomfort not to mention we had a chest x ray taken. I dont know anyone who would go to urgent care simply for a runny nose.I called the doctor back to clarify and understand these prescriptions and rather than apologizing she *told* me that I had stated I had a runny nose and that’s why I went to urgent care, as if I was unaware of why I took myself to urgent care in the first place. When I explained to her (again) I was there for chest discomfort, she then changed my prescriptions and called the pharmacy back, but the whole experience is not reassuring at all. There was not much care involved in that entire process. I felt I wasn’t being heard.Next time I will go to a different clinic.
The whole experience was pretty easy. I made a same-day appointment online. When I arrived, intake was straightforward and I didnt have to wait very long. They were able to diagnose me and provide medication in about an hour. Going to urgent care is never fun, but they made it about as painless as it can be.
Was amazing clean and staff was so kind. Olivia who was the medical assistant made me feel so comfortable and easy to talk to. The NP I saw was so sweet and kind. Definitely recommend. Was a bit of a wait time but honestly that didn’t bother me with how the staff was. Definitely recommend. I felt so cared for.
Zero stars really. I made an appointment through their portal since I was told on the phone I cant schedule it via phone. But when I showed up they had no record of it on their end, someone else was in the appointment slot, and they absolutely did not care. They repeatedly said patronizing things like, Are you sure youre in the right place, sweety? Nothing else to say, not going back.
Took my husband to get checked out. I was able to make a same day appointment online. We arrived, filled out paperwork and turned it in. We waited a couple of minutes and he was called. The medical assistant and nurse practitioner were great. Highly recommend this urgent care.
I love this Advanced Urgent Care for serveral reasons as follows: 1) The lobby remains clean and pleasing to look at. 2) It does not smell like sickness upon entering the lobby, which tells me they take turns keeping it sanitized and clean. The glass door and windows are very clean, while many other clinics have finger and hand prints all over them. The wait time, in my experience, has never gone over 20 minutes. Once called into the back area to a patient room, even though more hospital like in appearance, everything looks and smells sanitized and cleaned. Also, patient rooms are well kept and orderly. The Nurse introduces themselves and takes the vitals within 2 minutes. Then the doctor or P.A. follows in shortly, again, usually within 10 - 15 minutes. They examine and diagnose quickly within 5 minutes. I find the whole experience spent there from intake to the completion very efficient and caring. Thank you for your service.✨🥰
Nice and friendly staff, clean and nice place. However when I was in pain for an ear infeccion the doctor prescribed some ear drops that cost $260 dllrs, now im not complaining about the cost if they were to meke me feel better but the drops just got me worse, I couldnt not sleep because of the pain I was feeling. I just felt that they just wanna make a profit out that situation.
I was greeted politely and treated within a reasonable wait, even with being 10 minutes late to my appointment time. Clean facilities. Polite staff. Really felt like the physician who saw me was very caring and focused on my condition. Will definitely use again, if necessary.
This is my first time visiting this urgent care facility and I was so impressed with the staff and Dr. John Miguel. They all were professionals and friendly and I feel like at home. Everyone was so knowledgeable and helpful. I would recommend anyone that have never visit here that need to come see them. You wouldn’t be disappointed. I want to deep gratitude and appreciation to all of them for their service. Thank you so very much.😊
Great Urgent Care!! In a time where service is getting bad everyplace, this UR was well staffed , friendly and quick. Dr was wonderful and concise, RX or on site. Well done !
I visited this urgent care after stepping on a nail. I told the check-in desk that I was in need of a tetanus shot. She somehow got confused and told the medical team I needed a TB test, charged me for the test, and the mistake was only noticed when I brought it to their attention after I waited an hour for this incorrect test to be administered. Shockingly, the clinic manager, Marina M., was rude to me after they made this clinical error. I was then owed a refund because a TB test is $60 more than a tetanus shot. However, they cannot refund through the same method I paid, credit card. Instead, my address was taken down incorrectly from my license to deliver a check. When the check was of course undeliverable, I was called today (over 2 months later) and told that I needed to come pick up the check. Again, the clinic manager, Marina M. was extremely rude to me when I questioned why the clinic seems to have so many errors. She said she has nothing to do with the billing department but could not tell me who does. Throughout my experience, I have not had a single apology, not for the mix-up with the shot, not for the mix-up with the billing, and not for the mix-up with the refund check delivery.I am not sure how there is a single positive review for this place. I will not be returning.
1.5 hrs and still waiting to be seen for an infection.[Update] changing the review from 2 stars to 4 because of how thorough the doc was in their examination and how clean the whole place was. Still withholding one star because the whole ordeal took around 3 hrs
Advanced Urgent Care of Pasadena provided really fast turnaround — even with a waiting room full of people on the 4th of July. I am so impressed by the efficiency and service orientation of the front desk, together with the extremely high levels of medical care (and kindness) I received from Melissa and Deborah - the medical staff. I’m grateful to have this urgent care center and its excellent team right here in the neighborhood. Thank you!
They had me pay out of pocket because my member ID also said something else with my name on it. Even though my insurance was under their group name and it was active. They didnt want to risk it, I find that super strange, They must be money-hungry, Shame on them for taking advantage, especially in an emergency.
Dreadful experience. They had us wait for 3 hours & 15 mins. - didn’t even update us with the time frame. They have no sense of urgency and wasn’t transparent with how long will be the wait. Their parking is also small and was forced to park outside. Since the wait is too long, we got a ticket due to it. It was an awful waste of time considering it was a weekday. I wouldn’t recommend this for an urgent concerns and to anyone at all.
Under 40 min wait time for an afternoon walk-in, extremely reasonable prices, friendly staff, knowledgeable doctors. 2 hours total time including exam and chest X-ray and prescriptions filled.
Personally I’ve gone here before for my own medical emergency. I didn’t have the greatest experience with the doctor on call at the time. His bedside manner was horrendous. He reacted horribly to my condition and made me feel a lot worse about myself and what I was going through. Also it seemed like he was really afraid of v*ginas.Second experience going in, my partner had a medical emergency and filled out all the paperwork and told the nurses and the staff what was going on right from the beginning. We then had to go through an hour of waiting to be admitted into a room. Then waited another half hour to be seen by the doctor (different one this time she was straightforward and to the point which we really appreciated) who THEN told us that my partners condition couldn’t be treated the urgent care and that we had to go to an emergency room. We could both hear them scolding the staff and nurses at the front for not being aware of the situation and not notifying us sooner. It was just a lot of wasted time for someone in a medical emergency. It seems like the urgent care’s efficiency is extremely low and we really did not appreciate how they wasted our time.
I made an appointment to remove some stitches when I couldn’t get an appoint until later with my doctor. I made an appointment on-line as they suggest. On my arrival, I was quickly checked in and was seen within 15 minutes or so. Everyone was pleasant and efficient. Very good experience.
Ive been in the area for two years and have had 3 occasions to go to Advanced Urgent Care of Pasadena. I found the waiting and exam rooms clean, neat and pleasantly designed. The staff was always professional yet friendly. My wait times were always less than 1 hour. I had good follow up from the doctor or staff when there was a lab test. Now if they can find a quicker cure for the common cold, Ill really be thrilled!
No complaints. Very professional, polite, organized, efficient. The staff, nurses, doctor, x ray tech. One big take away was how totally on the ball the staff was with my insurance. That is a big deal!
Imma start off by saying when needing to visit a hospital, clinic, or urgent care location, I always have my doubts. Mainly because I know that it’s one of the busiest corporations that exist. People in the medical fields obviously deal with a lot of BS daily, but I was really happy to experience a great visit at this location. When I first entered the building I was immediately helped by the receptionist , Juana. She was extremely kind and professional and was able to answer all of my many questions. I was later assisted by Shaun who actually took care of me for my visit, and was such a sweetheart. He was very welcoming, extremely kind, and had extremely soft hands (which matters a lot!). Overall I was extremely pleased with my visit at this location. Would highly recommend!
This is my go-to urgent care. People are nice and efficient and they do their best to get patients through quickly. This most recent time I needed a nasal pcr test to return to work given a potential exposure. I had an appt for 9:20. Showed up at 9:05 to make sure that I could check in and be ready, had an important call at 10 I couldn’t miss, and I didn’t get out till 10am. When I arrived, there was one other person there. Several patients left. I know that in order to bill insurance you need the doc to sign off but please, prioritize those people that you can take care of in 5 min. The nurse finally brought me back and did the nasal swab and then I waited and waited. When the doc finally came in he was surprised that I’d just been sitting there. This is something he could have signed off on between patients. Better communication may have alerted him. This has not been my experience in the past so hoping this was more of an admin blip.
The person who saw my 7 yo son sent us to get blood tests done to check if he had apendicitis. Later on at the e.r. a doctor told us they would never have asked for a blood test since they can’t tell definitively if there’s apendicitis. I’m extremely angry at the negligence of putting a 7yo kid through something like this when it’s unnecessary. Never coming back
I love this place! The Doctors and nurses are very nice and courteous. Place is always clean and the wait time is always, no more than 20min. Its by far the best Urgent Care in Pasadena. A few days ago, I paid them a visit and I was helped my a very nice girl name Fergie. She was a sweetheart. My made visit much more pleasant!! Keep up the great work!
The waiting time is too long! I was in the small room and waited 1 hour and still have not see the doctor!
The waiting room was full but I was seen within 1.5 hours. The Dr. was quick but thorough. Paperwork was simple to fill out. Good experience. Parking was an issue so had to park down the street. Only drawback
Needed urgent care today. Didn’t want to go to emergency. Wait time was excellent! Was probably seen within 30 minutes. Very clean facility and staff is super nice. And whoever decorated this place did a nice job. I noticed! Xray was done and had to wait for official radiologist interpretation and that was not bad. Id definitely come here again. Though I hope I don’t have urgent care needs.
This is my first visit to this urgent care facility without an appointment. I was pleasantly surprised that I was attended to within an hour. The staff is friendly and the office is clean and neat. There is water and coffee in the lobby area with the usual magazines on a coffee table. The staff was quick to verify my insurance. My only complaint is that when they asked me for urine test, I was only given the container but without a antibacterial wipe.
This would probably the first urgent care with an awesome wait time! They get their patients in and out. I also love how clean the place is, that is always a huge plus. I will definitely recommend and revisit if necessary. All the staff had great customer service. 5 stars hands down!
The doctors and nurses are very caring and professional, the staffs are friendly. One of the best Urgent Care facilities
2-3 hours wait is what everyone kept telling me today when I called around. So lucky we found this place and drove over to be seen right away. Teddy the nurse practitioner was kind! He knew all the good food places and treated us so well. It was all professional and very personal at the same time. The nurse Janet was great with the COVID tests and Ted was always around. I like this place and that means a lot. Give it a go.
This place is incredible! It was perfect to get a needed X-ray without having to see a specialist who charges too much and requires reams of paperwork. Each person - from the doctor and all staff - were patient, kind and helpful. Wait time may vary but just bring a book or play on your phone!
I love this place. They were quick, clean, and efficient. The doctor was clear with his diagnosis and treatment was immediate. The technicians were very good. I needed 2 injections and they were done in a minute. My reason for not giving 5 stars is 2 part. I came in for a puncture wound. The doctor told me what my treatment was, but gave me no instructions for after care. And the technicians did not wrap up my slightly oozing wound when I left. So I went home wrapped myself up and then Googled aftercare. They may seem like a lot for done people, but I have some first aid training do it wasnt a big deal to me.
Waiting room is set up to make social distancing easy.Parking worked out for me, but there are only about 10 spots in back, and Street parking had some no parking hours. There is a nearby parking lot.The staff is friendly, helpful, patient and efficient. Ive been here for urgent care as well for Covid testing. I was 10 min late for the test and prepared to reschedule as I had another appointment in 45 minutes. They got me in and out so fast it made my head spin, and I was early for the next appointment!!!
Came to this urgent care because I had food poisoning they attended me fast and answered all my health questions and are very professional and organized. Doctor John Miguel who attended me, helped me recover from my illness by prescribing me the correct medications and by answering all of my questions regarding my health needs, with swift and on the spot answers. He treats you with the professionalism you are very much expecting. I recommend attending this urgent care and have Doctor John Miguel assist you in your health needs, he is very professional and caring in treating your health.
I literally just got home from the Advance Urgent Care in Pasadena to make sure if I was positive for COVID and had an awful experience with one of the lady doctors there. I do not know the name of the doctor but she was very rude to me after I waited 40mins to see if I was Positive for COVID. I was very patient and let the nurse know yes I took an AtHome COVID test before I came in but wanted to come in to make sure the AtHome Test was correct. For the the doctor to come in and TRY to consult me about why I was there made me feel UNCOMFORTABLE and thought maybe I shouldn’t have come in to check to make sure. She was very rude and asked me “Why are you even here?” Making me feel insecure about my decision to come in. She also did not ask if I was vaccinated or suggested what to do to help get better and just went out the door. Her attitude was not necessary towards me to make sure I was ok and for me trying to keep the people around me safe.
Efficient, pleasant staff, excellent providers. Liked ability to make online appt to reduce waiting time. Appreciated being apprisedasto waiting time in office as well.My first choice for urgent care inthis area.
This is the second time that I have been there. I really think everyone is friendly, and the doctors and nurse practitioners are knowledgeable. It helps if you schedule an appointment
Place is very clean and nicely decorated, which makes a patient feel more at ease. I just made my appointment today and they saw me very quickly. I got my test results back very quickly, as well. The staff was friendly and pleasant.
For an Urgent Care facility to be this comfortable of an environment and so efficiently run is nothing small. Ive never been as at ease under these circumstances. The entire staff, from front desk check in to triage, were extremely polite and caring and created a seamless patient care experience. It only gets better once you meet the Physicians on staff. I had the pleasure of being seen by Dr. Phillips. His caring demeanor and calming bedside manor makes you actually feel as though you just met with your personal family physician. Its never good to be ill but, it is wonderful knowing there is such a place as this to go when you are. Thank you for your care!Bridgette B.
My experience was not good. Although the staff were nice, the provider that I met was not. The provider rushed through my examination (waiting time 15 mins and examination time 5 mins). She did not address my issues and my symptoms did not get better after taking the medicine she provided. Totally waste my time and money.I would like to make another update. I went there another time because my illness did not get better. The staff were good as usual, and I met the same doctor again. I still waited for quite a long time and she stayed for a relative short time. However, the doctor addressed my issue this time and I am finally feeling better. So I gave it 3 stars.
I came in early Sunday morning with lower back pain. The staff greeted me and was friendly and courteous. I waited 30 min. until I was called; fast for urgent care and the medical staff was also friendly and professional. Ms. Tiffany Bryant treated me with care and concern, she was thorough and undersatding. I got two injections for my back and prescription medicine. I was in and out in less than 1.5 hrs. Awesome medical staff! Thank you again!
This clinic has an entire page on their website about how “healthcare costs are rising” and at their clinic “no insurance is no problem” and then when you arrive without insurance they tell you everything is full price out of pocket. Very nice. Your SEO person works and your doctors steal.
Love this urgent care! The facility is clean and nicely decorated with a separate childrens waiting area. They accept my HMO which is amazing, the staff is efficient, professional and friendly. Ive been here a number of times and never waited longer than 45 minutes, even today, on a Sunday with the waiting room to capacity. My daughter hurt her pinky so I brought her in. She got an x-ray, diagnosis, Rx for her primary, CD of the x-rays and a carefully and gently fitted splint in and out in 1.5 hours. Dr. Schomer, his x-ray tech and all of the staff were great. So greatful for this smooth assistance to help me take care of my little girl. 🤗💕
Amazing experience! Very kind staff. Everyone from the receptionist, nurse, and Doctor were very happy, professional, and attentive. They got me in and out with my prescription in 20 minutes. Doctor Seagall was very thorough in her exam, asking all the appropriate questions and even followed up with me to make sure I was feeling better. Highly recommended.
Professional - even in Halloween costumes! Timely. Needed follow up visit with orthopedic dr. to determine care plan. They gave me cd of X-rays and the radiology report.
Had the pleasure to meet Dr. Phillips again after my second visit. He is the nicest man on earth and very caring to his patients. The facility is clean and welcoming with their great staff. I came in on a Saturday at 3:55pm, was seen at 4:10pm, and got out at 4:30pm. I love how this urgent care doesn’t take long to take in patients. I had a cyst in my eye and Dr. Phillips was very informative that it’s an infection of a gland in the eye and that it’ll go away with an antibiotic eye drop. Very sweet man. Thank you Dr. Phillips! I’ll definitely come back to this urgent care!
Needed to come in for my ear infection. The staff was friendly. Everyone was wearing masks. They had a separate entrance for rapid Covid testing (i may use this in the future if necessary). It was a clean facility. I had to wait a little bit longer than I would have liked in the waiting room (but thats to be expected in a walk-in urgent care clinic) but the chairs were spaced-out fairly well. The appointment was fast and the doctor seemed thorough. And so far my ear feels better. Overall good experience...Be aware: parking lot is small and you can be towed if you park in the Petco parking lot next door.
Great urgent care, staff work well together, went early in the morning and it wasnt too busy. They have separate waiting area for kids as well. Can do walk-ins or appointments.
I went on a Sunday afternoon (yesterday) and I anticipated having to wait quite a long time. Thankfully not. The waiting room is clean, staff are courteous and professional. And I was thankful that they triage and took a young boy ahead of me who was obviously more urgent than I (he came in after me). The front desk staff were nice, smiles on their faces. The medical assistant just graduated from nursing school and was professional, knowledgeable and kind. I saw a PA-C Scinta (???) not sure how to spell her name. Very good bedside manner, professional, educated me on what to look out for and educated me to what was going on and why I was experiencing what I had going on. If ever I have to visit urgent care, I will definitely go back there. This was my second time there and both times were excellent experiences - and they have free parking in the back. Thank you!
I am on a trip here and leaving from here to go on an even longer trip with the family -- I cant be ill. I have what appeared to me to be a sinus infection, and feel miserable. I found this facility online, read reviews, and went, hoping for the best. I am so glad that I did!!This place is unbelievably awesome!! Thank you so much!! Everyone at the facility was kind, professional, understanding, and caring from beginning to end.The check-in was simple and straightforward. I was given a cold bottle of water, which was very nice. The paperwork was simple to fill out and the receptionist was very friendly and explained everything I needed to know at that point. The nurse/P.A. was very friendly and listened carefully to my symptom. He also asked appropriate questions and listened to the answers.Dr. Segall is simply one of the best medical professionals that I have ever had treat me, and unfortunately I have had to have a lot. She was very receptive and responsive to my thoughts and concerns, and gave me a plan of action that will have me as good as new in no time.I cannot say enough good things about this facility. They are fantastic.
While I was visiting my son I had a need to go to an Urgent Care facility and I am very happy I chose this one! It was a happy, upbeat atmosphere as soon as you walked in and the staff were exceptional. Hardly any wait time at all. Highly recommend
Did not have to wait long. Met a kind, competent NP who took great care of me. I am new to Pasadena so this was my first experience with this Urgent Care Clinic. I would definitely go there again.. First Rate.
I had a really nice experience here, which is great because you don’t want to stress about poor care when you’re sick and in pain. I was helped immediately, and after filling out the necessary paperwork I was seen quickly by a friendly nurse and then by the doctor, who was attentive and kind. I felt relief leaving after the care I received
I’ve had a great experience every time I visit. The staff is incredibly professional and friendly. I highly recommend Advanced Urgent Care Pasadena as an option when you are not able to see your regular Doctor. They are open 7 Days a week which is extremely convenient especially for those who have a busy schedule.
Very nice facilities, clean and hospital waiting room, easy intake. The doctors were very kind and gave me adequate time to ask questions. I was especially impressed that they carried a rate chart for everything (x-rays, brace equipment, etc.) so that I could make an informed decision about what treatments to pursue. Will plan to continuing going here as my first choice for urgent care.
Im an RN and am skeptical about seeking medical services outside of my primary care provider team. Ive been to Advanced Urgent Care twice (once for my daughter & once for myself). On both occasions we received excellent care from the NP and the PA. Additionally, we were in and out in under an hour with an accurate diagnosis and an evidence-based treatment plan. The front office staff was also courteous and professional.
I was expecting the worst, but instead, was pleasantly surprised. The staff was courteous and efficient, the line was short and I received my results in 15 minutes. This is the way things ought to work. Advanced Urgent Care of Pasadena is a model clinic, and this is exactly what we need during these trying times. Thank you!!!!
I have no words with which to thank Urgent Care Pasadena and the Dr i saw there for treating me for something fairly simple and common that I self diagnosed because no one with whom I consulted thought about it as a possibility. Thanks again for your help . You’re your own best doctor sometimes.
Honestly I came here because of the good reviews, but I wont be back. Ive spent almost four hours here and nothing has helped my condition. I tested negative and the doctor let me go, even though I told her I had a really bad cold. The doctor didnt give me any help. I feel like she wants me to leave quickly.
This is place is absolutely the best urgent care I have ever visited. Professionalism from the moment you walk in the door. Beautiful facility, friendly staff and lovely Doctors; that ask the questions, many thorough questions. I was taken aback to see Dr.s actually inquiring and seemingly genuinely concerned for my care. Additionally, I have never had to wait more than 15-20 minutes to be seen.I recommend this facility greatly. and do often, to my friends and family.
This is my favorite urgent care! It’s always clean & the staff is very friendly. The doctor is great, always very thorough & explains situations clearly. I always feel comfortable and taken care of here. Big thanks to this team!
I had gone to another Urgent Care in Pasadena which was so creepy that I left. I then came to Advanced Urgent Care and was pleasantly surprised by the efficient staff and cleanliness of the facility. I had an infected elbow and Dr. Hinde was terrific; she diagnosed the problem quickly, was knowledgeable, explained everything, and had a really kind way about her patient care. Very happy with my two follow-up visits as well! Thank you Advanced Urgent Care!
We are from out of town and had a real need to see a doctor. This urgent care was thankfully open late. They were very friendly and professional. The office was clean and cute. The doctor we saw was very thorough and she showed concern. They told us prices up front for each procedure. It was really great to have had such a positive experience!
I have 9 symptoms that are overactive thyroid symptoms. I didnt go to my primary physician because my insurance was dropped due to furlough and was afraid it would be too expensive. I shouldve paid the extra and just went to my primary. My issues with this place are as follows.#1- didnt see an actual doctor#2- didnt want to do a blood test to check my thyroid even after voicing symptoms.#3- PA came in only thinking my issue was poor air quality from the second he stepped into the room.#4- prescribed me Prednisone without checking my thyroid levels.#5- wanted to do a $50 swab test on my throat for infection but would not do a blood test. A blood test, I would think, would be essential if youre prescribing something and you have zero clue about the person other than whats written on a piece of paper.I will now pony up even more money to go to my primary. I can guarantee he wont prescribe me a drug that could have adverse effects on my thyroid without doing a blood test. Its not their fault though. Its mine. I know these places arent in the business to care about your health. Theyre there to churn and burn as many patients as they can in the shortest amount of time for the most money. So my honest opinion of this place is, if youre wanting to piss away $130, go. Dont expect good service. Everyone was friendly. Place seemed clean. Just unhappy with service.
Very friendly staff. Made an appointment and got in right away. The Doctor and the X-ray technician were both very nice and took the time to answer all my questions.
The head doctor cared for my case personally and expedited a transfer of care as I requested to an orthopedic surgeon. The staff are medical professionals, not customer service specialist, so dont expect too much. Theyre busy and are focused on your health. This office is spotless and clean as an ideal doctors office would be.Lastly I highly recommend to be careful when pulling into the parking lot in the back. Its a single long driveway for both entering and exiting the lot. I discourage street parking as my rides car was nearly towed when leaving the clinic on my first visit.
I was very nervous to go in on New Years Day to check a cat bite. The place is modern, clean and inviting. The staff are professional and take good care of you. My fears were abated after the doctors diagnosis. I will always go to this urgent care and feel confident in their doctors. Im very thankful that they are there to help us all get through this very difficult time.
Wow, exceptional service for an otherwise unpleasant thing to deal with in life. Because who really wants to be at Urgent Care if they can avoid it!? The entire staff was friendly, engaging and supportive. The last time I was there was 2 years ago and Dr. Phillips remembered me! I was shocked. Anytime I need a doc which is rare (thankfully!) I will choose this clinic. 10/5 stars!
My Four year old had a ticket splinter in his index finger that he would not let us remove. Fortunately, I found this urgent care open on a Sunday, the wait was less than 15 minutes, it was super clean AND had a beautiful childrens area (which soothed my terrified son), AND the staff was amazingly professional and patient. The nurse was super good with my son, he earned my scared sons trust, and although the nurse and I had to hold my son down for the doctor to remove the splinter, the doctor got it done and we were out of their in a short time. My son was a happy camper with his prize from the treasure box. Thank you very much! Loved your urgent care!
Got Walk-in appt for CoVid-19 test. But I believe the preponderance of my symptoms were actually from a bad cold that I got a week before getting CoVid Omicron (?) infection. Tested negative a couple days later but I still have soar throat and persistent, spinning and recently unproductive cough. Dr. Miguel has great bedside manner. Nose jab by male nurse was well implemented, quick and painless. But when checking vitals, i.e. BP and Temp, I wish someone had checked my lungs or breathing with a stethoscope or verified oxygen level with finger oximeter.
Very high class facility, complete with Kuerig coffee, widescreen, hand painted murals, great staff and doctors and is very well managed. I was in and out in 60 minutes or so (first visit). Had to return a few weeks later with bronchitis. Was seen in 15 minutes and received all meds there. Again staff was outstanding, as was the doctor. I so appreciate the one-stop service 5 minutes from my house.
I was seen within a few minutes( after my insurance was verified)Maybe it was my insurance but I thought the price was extreme. But I’m glad I went. The people @ the front desk were very friendly and professional. The doctor was fine. The lady who gave me breathing treatments & an injection seemed a bit disctracted. She said the treatment would be 10 mins, the first time she returned well after 10 mins(I told her I didn’t like anything covering my face, she said once the treatment began I would feel better & I did, but once it stopped, I was uncomfortable. The second treatment she never returned to the room, I removed it myself & the doctor came to speak to me again had to turn the machine off.Other than that, I would return.
I drove 40 mins to this location because their automatic system said they take their last patients 30 mins before closing time. We arrived at 7:05pm and was turned away because they refused to verify my insurance and wanted me to pay cash instead. A patient waiting there comment they do this often. I just don’t understand why they wouldn’t wanna see a child crying due to a dog bite.
Yes I was very happy. I walked in 15 minutes late they handed me the paperwork easy to fill out and process me immediately. 10 minutes later I was getting my covid a test. Easy parking good location polite staff.
My wife and I both had to go to the urgent care this week on separate occasions. We were both seen quickly. The staff were all pleasant and explained everything well. We will definitely be using this urgent care in the future.
Love this urgent care! The wait time is short compared to any other urgent care or ER. The Dr. and staff are very professional. Their charges are reasonable - they keep you informed every step of the way so there are no surprises at the end of the visit. I would highly recommend it to anyone who needs urgent medical care. And thank you for taking care of me!
Bad experience about the billing practice. My insurance is PPO and the urgent care is within the network. However, this health care provider aggressively requested me to pay a procedure up front right on the date of a service is delivered since my deductible hasn’t phased out. They seem don’t trust patients and are concerned about collecting, but the procedure I paid up front is not based on the final negotiated rate with the insurance - patients may get overcharged. Not sure if they would issue a refund. It’s been TWO WEEKS they still have not submit the claim to my insurance, can’t figure out yet. Will update this feedback if the billing issue gets resolved.——————Response to the owner’s response:I’m a health worker as well. I appreciate the doctor and nurses. But asking patients to pay up front is not fair when your facility is already under a network contract with insurance. You are not waiting for the EOB issued back from the insurance, you just dont submit the claim within a prompt timeframe. You self admitted that your charged amount is not the final patient liability. As a network provider, you refuse to submit a claim first to determine the rate. Patients shouldn’t be responsible for your cash flow.Especially my insurance is not a high-deducible plan - due to your slow billing process, my deductible is pending within the 30-60 days window while no further coinsurance could kick in. How would you ‘estimate the rate’ be paid up front for next visit with procedure? This’s causing inconvenience to patients. According to certain Yelp reviews, you had a problem to refund patients but never delay collecting in the past, that’s why I’m concerned. Some patients may not have a capacity to check their EOB, or may not have the knowledge understanding their right. We came to your facility for your health care team and the quality of care. Most patients never own a penny for they’re supposed to pay. I will be waiting for the EOB and will contact the facility if there is any variance. Wish your billing department take care of the claims properly and promptly. Will update this comment.Btw, having a professional and patient-oriented manner to patients’ criticism is so essential in the health care industry. It looks bad that the owner had an attitude to respond unsatisfied patients.
Ive never been to an Urgent Care and had no idea which one to go to but Im SO HAPPY I chose this one. All of the staff were quick to answer any and all questions before and while I was there. There was little wait time and very affordable. I was stung by a sting ray and about 10 days after it puffed up and was painful to walk on. Obviously concerned, I knew I needed to go to an Urgent Care. My PA, Derek Asimus was very knowledgeable and explained exactly what was going on and how to fix the issue. I immediately felt relief. My foot is now in great shape, no swelling orpain. Im back to my active self and jumping on it. Needleas to say, Id recommend this place to anyone. Thank you to all of the staff! ... even to those who smiled or just showed me where the bathroom was. Everything counts. Thanks again!
Always greeted from the moment you walk in. Everyone is always very helpful and kind. They are extremely clean and the service is always great. The 2 times I’ve been there they’ve taken great care of me and I am never there for hours.I would definitely recommend this Urgent Care to anyone.
This is truly by far the best walk in/urgent care Ive ever been to. And Ive been to quite a few in Arizona and California. Youre greeted by friendly staff, who as well are very helpful. Youre seen very quickly, and out the door all in under 45 minutes in both my experiences. Both times I went for an ear infection. The first time I was given my script there for amoxicillin and didnt even have to worry about going to a pharmacy. 2nd time I had to get my script filled at a pharmacy for drops which was fine. I paid out of pocket both times cause they accept my insurance health net but not health net through medi-cal. No biggie because it was totally worth it for the everything else experience. $150 the 1st visit and thats including the antibiotics , $110 for the 2nd visit. I highly recommend this place for everyone needing great and quick care.
I have been in the Los Angeles/Pasadena area for work for a couple months now and need to be seen by a doctor. Looked up Urgent Care facilities and found Advanced Urgent Care. The staff is very nice, responsive and knowledgeable. The NP was very helpful and thorough. She listened to all of my information and suggested running some tests. I would recommend Advanced Urgent Care of Pasadena to everyone. Great facility, clean rooms and waiting area, and new equipment.
The staff here is always prompt, courteous and respectful. During the pandemic, all doctors, nurses and administrative staff have been happy to help and assist in giving the best care possible.
I went in with terrible ear pain and medium-grade fever. Tested negative twice before coming in for COVID but was met with a rude doctor that did not say hi, barely looked in my ears, did not read my paper, and claimed I should take a PCR and left.Went to EXER two days later and it turns out I have a bad ear infection that should have been treated a little earlier... never coming back here.
I have used Advanced Urgent Care in the past so this was not my first time there. I was seen quickly by the doctor who was kind and attentive. I was diagnosed and received a prescription within a short period of time. The office staff was friendly and helpful.
The doctors and nurses were friendly and professional. They checked me out and diagnosed me pretty fast, I think I was there less than an hour and a half. I was able to get my antibiotics right there and was feeling better in a few days :)
The staff and doctors are great and the office and waiting rooms are very clean and organized. The only reason why I gave this business a 3 star versus 5 star is because of how ridiculously long it is taking to get the results of the covid19 PCR lab test. I was told by the doctor and nurse that results will be emailed to me by the lab in 24 to 48 hours but unfortunately we are going on 72 hours now and I still dont have the results. In comparison to CVS this is absurdly a long time.. my mother got a PCR test at CVS and she received the results within 24 hours. I called Advanced Urgent care and asked them about this absurdly long wait for my test results and I was told they use a 3rd party lab and the results come from there. My advice to the management of Advanced Urgent Care is to get yourselves a new lab because this is hurting your professional reputation and negatively affecting your patients.
The place is very clean and well kept. There is a small parking lot so its a plus in the Pasadena area. Everyone is very professional and courteous. If things dont go right, stay calm and just explain what you need to be done. The people there genuinely try their best to take care of you.
Short wait, excellent staff. Dr. Meguel is outstanding! He saw an issue and told me that I needed to go to ER. So I did. Got admitted, doctor there found the answer to an issue I have had for years. Maybe it wasn’t so bad when I was in other doctor’s offices? Thanks Doctor!
The staff was insightful and attentive. They did necessary tests and an exam by a very skilled Doctor. My assessment was made post haste and they notified the hospital for further, immediate care. The ER was ready for my arrival, where further in-depth tests found a very serious condition, from which I am now recovering. I am very grateful to AUC. They made all the difference.
This place is great. Friendly professional staff especially a medical assistant named Jazmine. She is one of the very few medical assistants that was able to draw my blood the very first try. I usually have bruising after I get my blood drawn not this time. This place is clean the way urgent cares should be. I recommend this place highly especially if you have trouble getting your blood drawn.
Excellent little clinic with super nice staff and lovely doctors. Their app is useless - just show up. (I followed the app instructions to the letter, waited over an hour for my appointment, only to find they had no idea that I had even checked in and was waiting. When I complained the staff basically said Yeah...things keep changing.... Otherwise, Ive always been happy with my care there.
Staff are professional and courteous. The wait time was short. I saw a nurse practitioner and he was efficient yet engaging. I would recommend this place to anyone in need of medical attention.
I had to go in for a few tests prior to surgery as Kaiser wouldnt cover. They nurses/doctors are top notch. All were really informative, responsive, and caring. I was followed up with promptly. Highly recommend if needed!
This place was great! Very clean and I was really impressed with how friendly the staff was, especially Jazmine. She made my visit feel very comfortable. The doctor was extremely knowledgeable and patient with all my questions and concerns as well. If youre ever in need of urgent care, I recommend you come here for professional and reliable service.
Advanced Urgent Care in Pasadena has the most caring and kind Staff, Physicians and Nursing Staff. The patients are treated with kindness and care. Everything is explained completely and medication can be obtained at their facility so one does not have to search for a Pharmacy. It is always available whether one has an appointment or not.
Its kind of crazy that they charge $120 for a rapid antigen test when its a $20 at-home test. Thats absurd, but fine. And then they said they won’t give me any information so I can’t file a claim through my insurance. They’re the ones who recommended I did this when I called and part of the reason I came here. But now they said they won’t give me the information to file a claim even though I already paid for this and they got their money…
Efficient, reliable, friendly, clean facility. Darling kids waitting room. Exam rooms clean and comfortable. Positive environment! Im a registered nurse and will definitely refer patients that might need urgent care znd Co workers. Thank you..
I was really-pleased with my experience at AUCP. Even though they couldnt take my esoteric medical insurance, the treatment they gave me was speedy & effective. For the first time in ages I was afflicted with poison oak (via hiking Dawn Mine #caution) which caused my eye to swell severely. For less than $200, I got the consult, steroid shot & prescription — all within an hour. Next day, the rashes are mostly gone and I no longer look like John Merrick. Thanks again, doctors & staff!
Dr. Phillips is a pleasure. He is very knowledgeable and runs a great practice. I typically get nervous in medical settings, however the doctor, as well as his staff, were very professional and caring. I would definitely recommend coming here. Great, clean and organized establishment!
Everyone I met at Advanced urgent care Pasadena was extremely helpful. I thought they all performed their duties in a very professional manner. I will not hesitate to return to their facility in the future. All and all I would give them an excellent AAA rating.
DO NOT TAKE YOUR CHILD HERE. I also would not go here for anything other than a covid test after reading the other negative reviews closely. The male doctor/nurse practitioner gave my child a steroid shot and antibiotics for bronchiolitis which is a viral disease. Needless to say the bronchiolitis didnt go away. There was also no guidance on what we should do or how we should monitor the symptoms. Not to mention no explanation of why he was giving my child a steroid shot and what the antibiotics were for.So when we went back out of desperation because the pediatrician was closed, we were shocked when the same doctor/nurse practitioner said look i know Im good at my job but you need to go to your pediatrician. If he was good at his job we wouldnt have needed to go back a second time for the same thing. We ended up leaving in the middle of the visit after a series of rude interactions and comments because there was only so much we were willing to take with a crying toddler.I called my pediatrician and they said this place was known to be awful and referred me to a pediatric urgent care nearby.
Straightforward service, that doesnt waste your time by giving you what you dont need. I had an ingrown toenail removed here by Dr. Phillips, and it was the best experience in an Urgent Care Ive had to date with such an operation, and Ive been to multiple similar clinics throughout the years of dealing with it. Highly recommend this place.
Nice office and clean also, pleasant receptionist .As far as the Assistant has a big EGO and ATTITUDE. He took my BP he didnt give the the numbers, I had to ask also took my temperature he wrote it on the chart again I had to ask for temp.num. the Dr. Himself was quick dont know how you can diagnose someone when you dont run any tests! Unsatisfied patients and will NOT recommend to any of my family members or friends.
This is my third visit to this facility. I bring in my 2 year old daughter and the staff is very friendly. They take good care of us and wait time is usually about 30 minutes. We have always left satisfied, thank you!
Staff was very friendly. I was seen for injuries from a car accident on very short notice. I hate hospitals so I started here to avoid admission to ER. Treatment was professional and werent trying to rush me even though it was closing time. Although, I dont suggest getting there last minute as it does fill up with patients. Thankful for the help. Not thankful for the shot in the butt .Cheers
Nice people, good value. Waited 10 minutes beyond my appointment time to get my Covid test. I opted for results via text which came within 15 mins, but the text isn’t much for the proof of testing I need. And you can’t view the results via the Solv app they use to schedule testing. So I need to go back there to get the results on paper.
What a great service. Clean, organized, good care and kind people. I went in when I didnt bounce back after the flu and got a diagnosis and the medication to make a full recovery. The whole experience was satisfying and Id go back again if I need it.
Wonderful Urgent Care!Everyone from the physicians to the assistant staff are professional, compassionate and kind. The facility is immaculate and runs smoothly and efficiently.Absolutely high praises for this place (coming from a health care professional myself). Many thanks particularly to Dr. Shomer & Salpie.
Doctors are great, saw my girlfriend within 10 minutes. And was done at 1:38 (got a text) All she needed was a shot and its 2:24 literally 40+ mins passed and shes still not done? Are the nurses really getting paid to lag that much? Doctors should really check on that, its ridiculous that someone has to wait that long for a shot and perscription. Overall time: 2hrs and 15 mins. Oh and good to see 2 patients that came after her was able to get out before her.
I went to Advanced Urgent Care of Pasadena on Arroyo Parkway on 6/9/2019. The whole staff was really great including the medical staff and especially the Doctor who treated me. I just wanted to thank them for helping with my medical problems.
The rating as of October 25th still 2021 still stands at 1 star. Being quite under the weather with a cold and sore throat that had not gone away for 5 days and having taken the precaution of going and getting a negative result on a covid test in CVS drive through so as not to make anyone ill, I went (once again) to this Urgent Care. I arrived at 9 am...but this urgent care is a covid test center first and foremost. I counted something like 30 people who came in for testing, while I waited 1.25 hours just to be seen. It was not a first come, first serve. It was priority to covid testing. In fact, the ladies at the desk didnt bother to sign me in properly for 45 minutes. And, folks coming in for covid testing are all registered and wait for their test in exactly the same room. However, my daughters experience was worse. My daughter took her son here a couple of months ago and they said her little 2 year old has a bit of a cold is all.She waited 3 hours to be seen. A couple of days later she managed to take him in to be seen by their regular doctor and his little eardrum was about to explode. How could this have been missed?
Clean environmentI was able to make a same-day appointment online and in total I was only in the office about 40 minutes, including going out new patient forms
I just found the greatest walk in urgent care near me. I could not get an appointment with my doctor and I found this new place. The doc was amazing and the staff was very cool. Hardly any wait at all and I walked out with my medication! Highly recommend for a local urgent care in Pasadena.
I always get excellent care from the doctors at this facility. They are smart, conservative, and are able to give me the help that I need. I dont have to wait long, and its a pleasant experience from arrival to departure. Thank you!
The staff was courteous and efficient. I was in and out in less than an hour. Dr. Rogers was thorough, detailed, and expertly addressed all my concerns.
I’ve been here twice with my son and the staff and Dr. Miguel have been so kind and gentle with him. You can even make appointments through their website. Definitely recommend.
Dont bother.I give it 2 stars only because the nursing and admin staff was very nice and the clinic was, as everyone states, very clean and comfortable. However, the doctor was not at all helpful. Rather than to take genuine or compassionate interest as I described especially painful and recurrent ear infections, he interrupted and talked over me, asked repeatedly (rather self-righteously) if I clean my ears with q-tips (I repeated a few times that I dont, and I dont), and smugly laughed as if he didnt believe me. Throughout the whole appointment it came across as if he felt that I got what I deserved. Is this why we visit doctors? To be treated like children? Or to be treated like we SHOULD be suffering? He refused to address the chronic itching and scratching that causes these recurrent infections. He prescribed antibiotics, in spite of recent research published by the AMA that recommends NOT prescribing antibiotics as most ear infections are caused by viruses. What is recommended is pain management, which this doctor did not prescribe or even recommend. Not even ibuprofen. He told me I would be able to get the antibiotic drops in the office but it turned out they were out. He hadnt bothered to stop back in to tell me. He furthermore did not give me any discharge instructions whatsoever--not on the prescription he provided nor how to care for my ear nor when to come back if symptoms continue. I just happened to know from long-time experience with infections that I could take up to 800mg of ibuprofen with food (thank goodness Advil is over-the-counter), but it didnt stop me from writhing in pain all night or all the next day. I really could have just taken care of myself and I wouldnt have been treated so poorly in the process.
Clean facilities with a kind and informative staff. I had a great experience, the doctor was efficient and gave me options on how to proceed with his recommendations. I am very happy I decided to go in and that I picked this urgent care to go to.
The staff was very helpful and friendly; the Dr. Knew his stuff and I was relieved that I didnt have the illness I thought I had. They also gave me a referral for an MRI the same visit. I highly recommend going here for urgent care.
Very nice workers, efficient and quick for rapid test, but only giving 3 stars because why can’t they send me a pdf version of my results when I registered my information and email address on line. They should be able to provide a pdf version to print instead of requiring you to wait or return for print out.
I came to Advanced Urgent Care of Pasadena hardly able to breathe due to a sudden severe case of bronchitis. I was seen promptly, given a breathing treatment from a nebulizer, and immediately felt miraculously better. I was then given a steroid shot, a prescription for an inhaler, and released. I was told I should keep an appointment with my doctor which I had made previously, and cautioned that I should take care not to let the bronchitis change into bronchial pneumonia. The treatments cost me nothing in advance because my insurance coverage is expected to cover the cost.In short, I feel I received excellent, prompt, and effective care by very kind and caring professionals. I will certainly recommend Advanced Urgent Care to anyone in need
Urgent Care is a clean, professional, friendly healthcare facility. What facility lacks in parking, makes up for in the health practitioners have heartfelt kindness, and lots of thoughtful joy! Recommended highly.
I believe this is a quick, and easy place to get a medical Dr without an appointment. My only concern is the music they play is not suitable for a waiting room of sick and hurting people. The music used to match the calming scenes on the large flat screen. Today they have decided to enjoy the loudly played sounds of reggae. My guess is the owner is unaware of this music change, otherwise they would consider their ailing patients.🤔
Our child had a bad cut on the knee that needed stitches. The doctor flatly refused. He only placed starry strips and said it would be fine.He was wrong. Two weeks later the cut is even wider, still oozing, hasnt healed and will certainly scar. That doctor needs to retire.
I visited on 08/03/19. I had a deep laceration on my right hand. The Doctor looked at it & determined it was too late for stitches. After testing my hand to make sure no tendons or nerves were damaged, he wrote me a Rx for antibiotics. A few minutes later a nurse came in to give me a Tetanus shot, clean & re-wrap my hand. I had to wait 10 minutes just in case I had a reaction to the shot, which I didnt, then I paid my $40 & went home. I think it was about 1.5 hours total from when I arrived to when I left. Thanks Marc Shomer for following up on my email regarding my billing questions & exceeding my expectations.
This place would have gotten a 5 star review for the treatment I received from Jody, who sits at the front desk, to the nurse who took my ekg, to my caring physician. They all were amazing with great bedside manners, especially with why I was there. Then comes the Asian kid at the front desk, named Dorian, who tells me that (even though I explained to him that my wallet had just been stolen last week) to just bill me the $50 so I can pay it as soon as I receive my cards, which should be in a few days. He then refuses to give me my prescriptions over $50 damn dollars and Im experiencing PAINS IN MY CHEST???!!! His only response is Thats policy. What kind of Urgent Care facility holds you meds over $50??????? You hold my medication, but you didnt hesitate to bill my insurance! That is NOT how you treat patients!
Efficient and speedy and of course great doctors and team. I have met with three doctors- all pros. FYI- if you need blood testing the phlebotomist is first rate. Best ever and I am a difficult blood draw patient😊
Friendly and efficient serviceBooked 9:00am online appointment and was out by 9:26amTreatment was excellent by all concerned
Just left urgent care and the nurse practitioner wasn’t the nicest person, overall rude. My wife’s sick asking questions because she’s concerned about her health and when the nurse practitioner leaves the room she vents to her coworkers about her irritation of answering the questions? She can be heard through the walls. Terrible to hear that when your already feeling sick. Makes you wonder the level of care you get at this place if leadership can’t handle simple questions.
So glad to find this gem! My doctor never wants to see me and I can just walk in here any time. The doctor took his time to listen to me and they have me the meds right there. I went home instead of waiting in a pharmacy and I felt better the next day. They even called me the next day. Greatest urgent care in Pasadena!!
Went to Advanced for some neck pain that flared up, prior to this neck pain I had been feeling some irregularities in my everyday life. I explained the neck pain and they gave me a few X-Rays to check on any structural damage. Before sending me on my way with muscle relaxers to help my neck, they did a precautionary Hemoglobin test due my lack of color and the other symptoms I described. They then found that my levels were third of what they should of been and sent me directly to the Emergency Room with recommendation of immediate admittance. I was later diagnosed with Leukemia and this extra test which was administer by Advanced could have quite possible saved my life. Thank you Advanced from the bottom of my heart, I caught this sickness early due to your diligence and extra care. I would recommend this facility and staff to anyone in the area.
They had a good attitude and took care of me promptly being patient with the questions I had because I had not been in a clinic like this one before so I was confused on why I was waiting. But after a little bit they took care of me and I was on my out without much time having passed by.
Horrible patient care service. Front desk personnel do not greet you nor do they say please and thank you when asking you to fill out forms. Medical “professionals” and front desk clerks talk about you in front of you as if you are not there and they do not explain anything to do. Worst experience I’ve had at a medical facility.
Thank you to the staff of Advanced Urgent Care of Pasadena! Stellar group of nurses and doctors. Everyone was so kind and thoughtful. This is the kind of experience we should all have with medical practitioners. I now prefer going here than to my own GP. Thank you again!!!
The staff were very personable, each one in their own way and style, but all showing a sincere caring and a sense of happiness for their craft. I thought about telling them this as I was about to leave but didn’t so I was happy to receive this survey to tell them what so should have told them in person.
Very nice urgent care, very clean, employees very respectful and courteous, especially the one who attended me. Her name was Jazmine. They were very attentive to my needs. I was seen in a timely manner. Would go again and recommend to my family and friends.
Came in for a really bad sore throat. The staff was very nice and got me in quick. The doctor saw me, they even tested me for strep and got the results the same day. Got to leave with my meds saving me a trip to the pharmacy.
Dr. Miguel and staff were wonderful. I definitely recommend this urgent care especially if you need a quick x-ray with immediate results. Quick wait time and very professional staff.
I had to get a rapid Covid test last minute and I was able to get an appointment within the hour. Check in was easy, the nurse was very nice, the test was quick, and I had my results before I got home.
Brought my son who is 16 months thinking his finger was dislocated. The staff made him feel so secure and took extra steps to keep him happy while we waited for X-rays etc. Highly recommend this office and staff!
In and Out in under 1 hour. Amazing! And thats with a full waiting room at the lunch hour on a Friday afternoon!Excellent staff & doctor.Quickly assessed the problem.5 stars definitely.
They say on the website they accept Healthcard Partners, when I get here they say they don’t take it. Confirm your insurance is accepted over the phone and avoid if you have heart issues. Otherwise clean place, short line and courteous staff.
Was seen right away. Everyone is very nice. Dr.Tiffany was very courteous & friendly. Hoping for a quicky recovery. Awesome office jams(music)!
Best urgent care Ive ever been to. Great friendly staff, quick service and the vibe makes you feel like everything is going to be alright. Which is awesome when your sick!
I had went in with a bad pain in my side and I went in to see what was causing it; saw the doctor after paying almost 100 dollars just to be seen then all I got for paying that amount was I think n walked out with no help of what was wrong with me; in the end I ended up going some place else my family had recommend , right off the back they told me what was going on instead of being stuck waiting for another oh I think would never come to this place again or recommend it to anyoneUpdate: I had gotten a phone call from one of the people at the clinic explain to me about my experience and had made everything more clear about why my experience was the way it was
This is the best urgent care facility I have ever been to. The staff is kind, professional and highly skilled. It is a brand new facility that is always clean and the line has been very short all three times I was there.
I made an appointment and was seen in a timely manner. The doctors were very helpful. I highly recommend this urgent care.
Totally thought i walked into a day spa on accident lol. this places interior rivals the getty or something. beautiful. i cut my arm today deeper than i could handle on my own and needed to get it looked at, so i googled the closest walk-in urgent care and found this place. i was nervous at first because the only memories i have from going to the doctor as a kid were when i was damn near dead, scared and had a healthy stranger danger...but this was a totally different experience. it didnt look or feel like i was at the doctors office...like, at all. aesthetics aside, the people working behind the counter were super sweet and the doctor who took care of me appeared to be a genuinely nice guy. i got stitched up and was back on my bike before my starbucks got cold. doctor visits have always felt like going to the DMV before, but this place felt like the four seasons. if youre ever unlucky enough to ride your bike into a pasadena parking meter too, i recommend this place
Everything was easy and seamless! Would definitely recommend. Easy check in, reasonable wait time, friendly staff, competent care, and timely phone calls / follow up with lab results. This place is the best!
Professional care but leaves one feeling a bit rushed. Observes all safety protocols, so safe to visit. Wait depends on time of day / day of week. My wait was 1 hour on late Saturday morning.
I love Advanced Urgent Care. The only issue I had was I informed the physicians assistant how sensitive I am to certain antibiotics and requested one that I know does not cause bad side effects but was given something that made me so sick that I couldnt work or go to class(Doxycycline). Once I discontinued it I was still extremely sick for 5 more days. They ended up prescribing me what I originally requested and that got rid of my infection.I just recommend to them, that if a patient tells you that they are very sensitive to certain things and are informing you about other things have helped in the past, try to listen to them. I know my body and what I can and cant tolerate. I reacted to the Doxycycline like most people that talk about it online, extreme fatigue, vomiting, diarrhea, extreme headache, nausea, dizziness. I guess maybe Im a wimp but Ive never felt so bad for so long.
A professional and courteous experience. Comfortable wait. Reception explained costs and potential variables effectively. Exam room staff was friendly and efficient. Nurse also and patient with questions.
Efficient, easy, clean, and no fuss. Got what I needed and on my merry way within about an hour. Friendly nurses. Front desk is very matter of fact, but Im glad, it moves things quickly.
Beautiful Facility and amazing staff! So happy to have found such an amazing Urgent Care so close to my home! Welcome to Pasadena! Thank you for your great care!
Went in for a Covid test. Made an appt. an hour after I looked at the website. So nice to get in to see someone quickly. Nice office with friendly staff. They are very efficient and quick. What a pleasure.Covid test was negative. 😁
One dr in the house on a Saturday. I’m and hour and 1/2 into my wait. Do they disclose at checkin there’s only one dr? No. They don’t mention it at all. You ask after an hour of your wait. Oh, and they decide to look up whether or not you’ve met your deductible and charge you a higher fee. This is not appropriate practice but folks are not aware if you push them they back down and charge you you’re actual deductible rate. If I wasn’t going on 2 hrs wait I’d leave for another location.
The service I received was very professional. I was seen in 38 minutes on a Sunday, which was outstanding. Staff customer service was exceptional. A plus was getting the prescription filled in the clinic.
The facility is clean . The staff is professional and friendly . I wasn’t waiting for long and will definitely be back for all my urgent health needs
Everyone was polite and efficient. It was a quiet time for them so my Covid Rapid Test took about 10 minutes from completing their form, paying, and getting the test.
I visit with them for an earache and took care of it with some antibiotics that worked fine.I had an issue with the billing and communication, but they have been prompt and willing to help resolving.
Recently moved to Pasadena from Seattle WA. When I got sick a week later, I consulted YELP for a good urgent care to go to. Advanced, and Dr. Phillips there, were professional, high tech, clean, and quick. I waited no more than 20 minutes to be seen. Bronchitis is almost gone now thanks to AUC of Pasadena!
I went in for a Tb test and tb reading. Place was nice and clean. Receptionist, nurses, and doctors were friendly. Way better priced than a CVS clinic. CVS clinic will charge for the tb test and then charge you AGAIN for the tb test reading. This place will only charge you one set price for both (half the price of a CVS clinic).
Scheduled an immediate appointment for Covid-19 rapid test. Short wait in line -- test done quickly and results were available in less than 30 minutes. I highly recommend this facility for testing.
Called to inquire about a COVID-19 test; receptionist was extremely helpful. Stopped by the same day — was in and out in less than 15 minutes. Safe and clean.
I got sick while in Pasadena for vacation and was so grateful to find this urgent care near my hotel. The wait was minimal and the entire staff was so friendly. I even got my medication there so I didn’t have to go to a pharmacy.
Gold standard for Urgent Care. Efficient scheduling, reservation system, good doctor to patient ratio, friendly staff.
Great service! I was there for an ear infection and Dr. Phillip treated me and was out of there within an hour. The staff is amazing! I highly recommend this Urgent Care.
Visited the place , being out of state. Very much surprised by the warm atmosphere and friendly employees. The doctor was great and actually spent time with me, with regard to others where all they see in you is money.
It has been an hour and 20 minutes and I am still waiting for doctor in the exam room. It seems they don’t care about your urgency at all. I was told that I’m next 30 minutes ago. I’m still waiting waiting waiting waiting……
The clinic is very clean. The staff was polite, friendly and helpful. The Dr answered all our questions and most important the wait was reasonable
I’m so grateful that there is an urgent care facility in Pasadena. I’ve gone there twice and both visits were very good. Advanced Urgent Care provides excellent care for their patients. Thank you!
Check in was fast, being seen was also quick. I think we waited like 20 minutes. Anthony answered all my questions and made sure I was taken care of. I will visit again when needed. I happy with the service/help I received.
