My experience here was amazing from start to finish. The ladies at the front desk were so welcoming. They went as far as contacting my doctor to make sure that the appropriate information was provided so they can bill my insurance properly and save me some money. The doctor who performed my HSG test was very detailed in explaining what I was about to experience. She was very gentle and I felt very well taken care of.I highly recommend this location for all your IVF needs.Thank you all for treating me with care and respect.
Thank you to this great team for making my first egg retrieval a smooth process. We got to there early, signed in, and I was taken back almost immediately. Everyone was so warm and caring and put my mind at ease. I let the nurse know that I get sick from anesthesia before starting my stims. I was given Zofran in my IV and did not feel any nausea while waking up from the anesthesia. 🙌 Now we are 🤞 crossed that the testing will go smoothly, and we will be back for the transfer.
I purchased donor sperm and had it stored. Every month there was a fee for storage and I paid the total balance. IVF Florida sent me to collections and I continue to receive threatening collection calls, text and voicemail regarding my account. Ive called IVF Florida several times to resolve the issue and they state dont worry its fixed I contacted the collection agency and they wont be contacting you anymore. Needless to say I received several additional calls, text and voicemail from the collection agency. They were not even aware of my total balance and had to do research. They are not organized and need a restructure in the billing department. I am beyond frustrated because IVF Florida sent me to collections when I dont owe them any money and I continue to get harassed by this collection agency. Additionally, the service is subpar. During my time at IVF Florida the nurses are extremely rude, and speak to you in medical term, and when you are unsure what theyre saying they act like youre dumb. Hello I did not go to medical school speak to me like a human and be patient and explain things clearly. The techs are always on there phones and annoyed with how busy they are because they always overlook and you have to wait a long time. I would stay far away from this fertility clinic. They are liars and dont take patient care seriously. Stay away and go to another fertility clinic that cares about patient care and able to process patient accounts accurately.
Thank you IVF Florida for the beautiful experience. We were very lucky to have worked with Dr .Hoffman and Dr.Weitzman. They both were compassionate, understanding, and thorough. I also want to thank all the nurses and how responsive they were through the portal. We had a wonderful experience and are very happy with our baby boy.
Charlene Rivera is amazing . She took time to help me out when most needed. I definitely could not be seen the dr today without her help . She is truly care about helping others that is hard to find in medical field nowadays. You made my journey is 1 step easier than it is . Thank you Charlene
Sue from the Margate office truly made our day when we went in a few weeks ago! We werent sure wed be able to get our bloodwork done, but Sue confirmed that wed be able to and made it happen. We really appreciated her willingness to help and her amazing attitude! Looking forward to seeing her again soon!
This is the most disorganized office ever. Ive been seeing Dr. Barrionuevo for about a year. When you have to schedule a telehealth appointment, please know that they made us wait for the telehealth phone call for over one hour one time and over 1h and 30 minutes another time. This is so disrespectful. Today, they scheduled my appointment for 10:15am and we called them to find out what was going on after about 15 minutes and 30 minutes. At 11:10am a lady called apologizing for the wait and that I still had to wait more because the doctor was finishing up something. I called them back at 12:00 and another lady told me the Dr.s nurse said they had called me at 11:47am, but I did not receive this phone call. I was sitting on my coach with my phone next to me the whole time. Im not saying they are lying, but I have no missed call coming from them, except the one at 11:10 telling me they will call in the next 15-20 minutes. This is NOT the first time my husband and I had to wait this long. We put everything we were doing on hold for long time and this is what we get from this IVF office every time. If you are trying to get help from a fertility office, DO NOT go to this one. I regret that I started our journey going to this office.
I agree with the previous review. I felt like cattle, being herded through month after month. During each visit, I had to self-advocate and explain why I was there for my appointment. It seemed as though my file was never thoroughly reviewed. I encountered numerous individuals throughout the process and did not feel as though I received personalized care. Given the emotional and financial cost, I felt like just a number. While the doctors were wonderful, the wait to be seen took several weeks. Overall, I believe there are too many clients and not enough staff to manage and deliver quality and thorough service. Since then, Ive moved to another fertility clinic, Boca Fertility, where the quality of care and patience is like night and day! I now have my own dedicated team, without being shuffled around, and feel truly valued and heard.
I cannot say enough about the staff here, Dr Van Goben, Dr. Hoya, and Dr. Hoffman helped me achieve pregnancy when another clinic told me it wouldnt be possible. When I had a complication with my first egg retrieval Dr. Hoya was on top of it and monitored it until the end and then after. I went on a vacation a few days later, he and Dr. Von Goben were calling in and checking on me. Dr. Hoffman became when my doctor when Dr. Von Goben moved north. Just like Dr. Von Goben he was compassionate and determined. I have secondary infertility and from the doctors all the way to the staff was nothing but exceptional. Dr. Hoffman told me he could help us get pregnant and he sure was right. We were able to cancel our surrogate and begin this journey. His nurses are caring, compassionate, and empathetic (I do not remember all of there names but I interacted with all of them). I had an issues at the beginning of my pregnancy and it was validated and acknowledged fully and without question, which my previous clinic was nothing like this. Everything was explained from start to finish more than I could have expected it to be. I am excited for my next journey with them once this pregnancy is completed as the staff is very outstanding and welcoming.
I am not one to leave negative review often, but in this case I need all to know what happens here. I have to say this is one of the most awful experiences I’ve ever seen with any medical office. They do not respect your time, especially women’s time. My wife and I had a tele health appointment at 10:15. We thankfully had the day off, so we were both at home. Regardless, around 10:30 we called and they told us the doctor was behind schedule. Then we called back around 11:00 and got the same speech. They called us around 11:15 and said the doctor would call us in 15 to 20 minutes. The call never came and we called back at 12:00 and they claimed they called us twice. The phone was in my wife’s hand waiting on the couch so we could continue with our day. We never received a call, text, email, or any way to connect. Making us wait 2 hours is absurd. If this was the only time, I understand things happen, but the last tele health visit was similar. We were at work and they said they’d call around 9, but we didn’t get in touch with the doctor until around 11. VERY disrespectful of time. The worst part is tele health was the only option for these consults. If you need to see the doctor, they make you wait 2 months for an appointment! My wife had surgery with Dr. B and they would not schedule her for a post op appointment because they had “none available”. It was mid-July and they said the next available was October and the appointment they had scheduled for her from months back was a consult on the phone. When she was scheduled for an ultrasound it wasn’t even with the doctor who did the surgery. He NEVER saw her after the surgery to see if all was ok.When I went to provide my sample to be tested months ago, I got a call later that day they it was “lost” or something dumb like that due to a power outage and I had to go back taking another day off to provide another. Not only that, but they would not work with me to make an appointment around my schedule forcing me to take a second day off work for their error. They made me feel like a criminal due to this unfortunate situation of which I had done nothing wrong.Overall very uncaring, unprofessional, and disrespectful. If you have another option, I suggest you take it.
Ill start by saying I thought about shortening this, but I hope the details are able to give someone else some encouragement and hope.Im a type A, very anxious, tenured critical care nurse. In short, not an easy patient and certainly not easy to impress. This was my 4th retrieval and I had all the anxiety, worry and fear that goes along with it. However, the Margate team absolutely blew me away and knocked it out of the park with their skill, expertise and KINDNESS in treating me as a human, and VALUED member of my own healthcare team. The fact that I can remember something specific from each team member that made me feel seen and heard goes to show what a personal touch everyone provided.Cherilyn was the nurse who greeted me, listened to me when I told her how terrifying all of this was for me. She went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable and included in my care from admit to discharge. When I got tearful, she gave me a hug and told me, we got you..Toni walked me back to the OR and was my circulating nurse. She really made sure to keep me included in the conversation of what was happening and addressed my concerns about being exposed which made it so much easier!! THANK YOU!!!!!Amanda, my CRNA, came to see me before the procedure and then kept an eye on me while we were settling into the surgery suite. She gave me a gentle touch, a smile, and an its ok when she saw me getting a little hyperventilate-y. So simple she may not even remember doing it. But it meant the world to me.LaToya escorted me out to my husband. She was so kind and though I dont remember much of the conversation, again, I felt heard and seen as a person.Dr L. was my anesthesiologist. He called me the night before and stopped in to say hello before my procedure to make sure all was in order. Checks and double checks are the key to safety and excellence! And then there is Dr G- as soon as he walked into my room he squeezed my hand and said, lets do this! The level of care and concern there was just beyond words. Can I also mention that he retrieved more eggs than we even thought was there? Mad skills! This journey has been a long one, but I trust Dr. G at the helm and wouldnt have anyone else guide this boat. The entire team functioned as a seamless unit. I wasnt his patient or her patient. I was THEIR patient, and I knew that I had an entire team looking out for me. That made me feel safe, which is no small feat. So, thank you to this team for such a wonderful experience. It gives me the hope and encouragement I need to get through this very vulnerable and tough time. Your skill and compassion are an example that other healthcare teams should strive to emulate. I cannot recommend this team highly enough.-Daphne Warman BSN RN CES-ACardiovascular ICUCritical Care
Very professional and qualified team, they provide me with great support during my process. I have no words to describe how grateful I am to the team that was by my side during my first egg retrieval, they were very understanding, they offered me the best care. A thousand thanks to Dr. Vanessa and the entire team.
I so want to give zero stars to these unprofessional people. My original appt was for 7/26, took all the insurance details on the call, and asked to call a week later to confirm the visit fee. When i call them to confirm, they move my appointment to 6/3 and forward the call to front desk for my fee question. Calls to front desk always go to a voicemail and they never returned my calls. Today I again receive a call that my appointment is canceled. On questioning how can they cancel my appointment when they never got back to me with the fee information, the lady would not let me talk; when I asked her to let me speak she hanged up on me. Thank you for showing me the reality of this place before i went ahead and trusted these dumb people with my health and money. Never ever coming back to these unorganized, unprofessional, and rude people.
5-7-24 I had my second egg retrieval at the Margate location and had a great experience once again. My nurses were Sheryl and Olga who were kind and patient. I terrorized Olga by asking over and over again to leave early and go home after the procedure, and she kept her cool and kept me calm. My doctor was Dr. Weizmann who was very nice and came in to check on me after and let me know we had a very successful egg retrieval!
I can’t say enough great things about Dr. Vanessa Weitzman and the entire staff at IVF Florida. Both professional and warm, Dr. Weitzman and the team made this journey as comfortable and easy as possible. It’s important to also feel like you are receiving personal attention and not just a number in an office. I did feel that and more. Highly recommend!!
We can’t thank Dr. Weitzman and the staff at IVF Florida enough for their dedication and professionalism during our IVF journey. We get to fulfill our dream of being parents everyday! #leaveyourmark
My experience has been wonderful so far, though I am not pregnant yet I have full faith I will be. The nurses, financial advisors and Dr. Hoffman are very helpful and supportive. I definitely recommend this office.
My experience was amazing. IVF Florida made the impossible...possible for us twice on two separate occasions. I have 1 ovary and 0 fallopian tubes, so conceiving a pregnancy on my own was not going to happen. They explained everything step by step and made an emotionally hard time for my husband and I alot easier. All the staff is great and Dr. Hoffman is compassionate about his work. Thank you IVF Florida for making us parents of 2 beautiful children. They are 3 years apart.
IVF Florida is amazing. They care so much and make what could be a very stressful process seem easy. They are so supportive and make you feel so comfortable. Olga, Sammy, Desiree, Carolina, Natasha, Angie, and LaToya were the best and put me at ease during my procedure. I would recommend to anyone!
I don’t have enough words for the gratitude I have for IVF Florida. I was able to conceive my baby via IUI with the help of Dr.Laurice Bou Nemar and the entire staff at this facility. I’m so thankful and extremely blessed for all of them. Communication and patience was everything that they had. Thanks to them I was able to have a beautiful baby girl. All the ladies that attended me were so sweet and supportive throughout my entire fertility journey. I definitely would recommend them. Again, thank you for all you guys do to help everyone in their journey to become a family.
Olga is such an amazing nurse. IVF florida should be proud and honored to have her on the team. I was very nervous and she explained everything with patience and in detail. She took care of be pre and post egg retrieval and made me feel comfortable throughout the process. She made sure I was ok and not in pain. I want to thank the whole team for taking excellent care of me as well: Cherilyn, Yessenia, Latoya, Angie, Toni, Carolina, Natasha and the amazing doctors, Dr. Bou Nemer and Dr Leaderman. Thank you!
I love Dr. Ory and the entire staff of IVF Florida! They were supportive but direct in handling our infertility journey and we now have 2 healthy children because of them. Bless you all for the work that you do, taking care of us throughout such a difficult time.
I honestly have no words to describe how attentive and professional the staffs are. I normally get anxious whenever I have doctor visits but the Staffs there are so caring that I always forget about my anxieties and fear of needles. Hands down the best staffs EVER!!!!! Starting with Dr. Hoyos, ms Olga, Yessenia, Samay, Toni, Angie, Latoya, Carolina, and Dr. Leaderman . Thank you guys for making these stressful experiences the most comfortable and easy process. God bless 🙌
Amazing call with Gizelle from the Finance team. She was extremely helpful. Explained things with compassion, patience and clear communication. She responded to every one of my questions.
Im grateful for the doctors, nurses, and staff that guided us through our IVF process. They walked us through every step and made us feel comfortable along the way. We were blessed with a beautiful baby girl who is full of JOY!
I cannot be more grateful with Dr. Barrionuevo and the entire team! After 5 years in this tough journey, they help me to get my baby girl! She is 20 months now and I’m expecting my second baby girl. They not only helped to get my dream come true but made the whole experience way less difficult.
I recently had my 2nd egg retrieval. The nursing staff was amazing! They made me feel comfortable during a very stressful process. Olga and Yessenea were amazing and comforting ❤️hoping for success in the near future
Short version:10/10!! They are: proactive, transparent, patient, thorough, professional, knowledgeable, and efficient. Every single employee (front desk to phone teams to the nurses and docs and every dept in between) has blown my husband and I away!Really long version:Booked a second-opinion consult at their new Jacksonville office, based off due diligence and our friend’s glowing review of their Boca office. I was thrilled to learn they opened up a Jax location, as we can’t get down to South Florida for treatment because of work, etc. and there are only really two Fertility offices in our area :(I knew from *just* their phone system, before I even spoke with any human (much less saw our Dr) that this place was in another stratosphere.Happy to report that feeling has been maintained and elevated literally through EVERY experience /touch point weve had so far- which has been 1x in person consult, portal use and communications from the incredible Dr. Henne herself, their nurses, front desk, 1hr long phone call with the Financial Counseling Team (shoutout Sarah—you’re a saint!) & communicating with their Medical Records department to make sure all our previous records arrived to them. The A-Team 🫶🏻The way IVFFL has their practice organized, staffed, trained, etc., is so thoughtful, refreshing to experience, and a well oiled machine. They have it down to an absolute science - our patient experience has literally been unparalleled and to be honest I have high standards haha. My husband works at Mayo and I’ve received care there before, but this patient experience is just next level. Truly they’re our advocates. And For reference.. the previous clinic we initially were referred to and did basic work up with was totally acceptable. It wasn’t some janky, tiny, or sketchy practice that made us see the new place in a skewed light. The original clinic is very well established, really large and in several cities in our vicinity, tons of providers, financing plans, and delightful people who worked there. We were fine with it, not blown away, but not turned off. We didn’t love how a couple small things fell through the cracks, but generally, no big red flags or anything crazy. Plus they took our insurance so that was a win. IVFFL does not accept our insurance so we are paying out of pocket. That’s how strongly we feel about the level of care we’ll get here. So, hopefully that helps give some background for anyone deciding! My husband and I knew that we’d end up getting a second opinion bc were advised by everyone we talked to that you don’t “just blindly go with the first IVF clinic without checking AT LEAST 1x other place out..”Obviously, we are proceeding with IVF FL for all further treatments, and feel incredibly confident in the talented team behind us. Highly recommend! Especially the Jax office 😘
My visit today was incredible! The ultrasound technician was gentle and professional and the woman that draw my blood was amazing, and I haven’t felt anything. Thank you so much for being so efficient and skilled.
Dr weitzman is confident and competent during the entire process, she responded to my concerns with compassion and honesty, and has a plan especially crafted for each and every patient. I highly recommend her especially if you’re a nervous wreck like myself because she definitely has a talent of putting others at ease.
Clean and safe facility with compassionate providers giving quality and efficient patient care. Many new friendly staff in the new facility, but I am always grateful to see a few familiar faces that make the journey a bit more comfortable.Thank you to all for granting my family the miracle of life and hope for more!
I have only wonderful things to say about Dr. Hoffman and his team. I had 1 child through IVF FL and pregnant with my 2nd because of them. Both on the first try. I know there are many factors that go into success but everything they did was clearly right! I will be grateful for the rest of my life. I highly recommend Dr. Hoffman if you are choosing doctors but everyone I have worked with has been great. The facility is really nice. I will say for IVF, you need to be an organized person with your medications and doing things as instructed, so keep that in mind. I am so thankful that a friend recommended Dr. Hoffman 4 years ago.
IVF is a demanding journey physically and emotionally. The compassionate staff of IVF Florida helped me through the process and took great care of me. Special thanks to Yessenia, Carol, Mel J, Elisabeth, Natasha, Dr. Lederman, Dr. Hoyos and Dr. Christie.
Gizzelle is an excellent financial counselor. She genuinely cares about what is best for the patient and has extensive knowledge of the procedure.
Charlene, Paula and Angela are great. Charlene and I we always talk a bit and puts a smile on your face. During this difficult process having great people to support is crucial. Thank you ladies and Kudos to you.
Dr. Diaz and Angela are both so great. They both answered all of my questions, made me feel at ease. They work great together and they’re both in sync which is very important. Would recommend this office 10/10
Billed us for services we did not receive. When we tried to repeatedly get in touch with someone, no one could help us. They just said “don’t worry about it,” then continued to send invoices.
The team at Margate is amazing! The front desk was super friendly and made me laugh (I needed that) and Dr. Diaz and her assistant were amazing. Very empathetic and friendly and explanatory of the service. I highly recommend this margate center.
I absolutely love IVF Florida. I was treated by Dr. Hoffman and he is my miracle worker. Because of his help and his staff I am currently able to be called a mother. I have a beautiful 2 year old baby boy. They made all efforts to help me reach my goal and we succeeded. Thanks to everyone in IVF Florida
All the ladies are soooo great here Teresa is great with helping with billing questions and what not she’s truly a blessing 🤞😇😇😇😇 thank you Teresa for all the help you have given me and the compassion you showed me even if I didn’t deserve it all the time lol
Dr. Christie and all the support staff are amazing. Everything is explained in detail. Great team to trust and support you through this difficult journey.
Cant thank IVF Florida in special Doc Hoffman for helping us to achieve our dream. A huge thanks to Tanica and Jennifer as nurses they provided an excellent care and attention to us during this challenge. And to all staff, thank you!
Charlene and Isabel at the front desk are always so calm and delightful. No matter how busy things are the staff at Margate always has a smile and a kind word for their patients. My experience at this clinic has always been tranquil and full of good energy!
I appreciated the help and patience from Giselle Gil. She was able to educate me and support me with this scary process.
Erica from the financial counseling department is amazing! She is very knowledgeable about the process and truly looks out for the best interest of the patient.
The most unprofessional, rude and slime people you could ever deal with.. The workers have a sketchy attitude, they treat you like they are doing a favor to take your business. The environment is cold and it is a factory like.I called before to give all my insurance and personal information, to set the appointment, just to make sure they would accept my insurance. So I took the day off, drove 25 min. only to be very badly treated. They said it was my obligation to check with my insurance if it would be covered. So they blamed me for there own mistakes and unprofessionalism. At the end the woman didnt have an reasonable explanation so she started screaming... I didnt ask for anything else other than an apology for wasting my time. But they can not give what they dont have, good manners.I would give zero stars if I could!Dont waste your time!
Thank you Margate IVF Team. Awesome Job we had a great experience with our Embryo transfer. Thank you so much
Today I had a wonder team by my side Cheniyn, Olga, Yessein, Toni, Canslina and Dr. Waltzman. Thanks ladies for all the love and care today.
Thank God for Monica! Patient, knowledgeable, and kind… made me feel great about choosing this clinic! Thank you Monica. You are a gem.
This place is the worst. I am a patient at this moment with this company and this facility. The Doctors have no idea how badly their practice is being ran by their front desk personnel. This company never ever everrr answers their phones other than only: Option 1 to make an appointment, for that trust me someone will always answer. You will never be able to reach a medical assistant, or anyone from the lab, or anyone at check-in or check-out. “Your call will be returned” in 24hrs if you call after 4pm it says or and if before 4pm the call will be returned the same-day they say. That is a lie! The Doctor is very nice once you are in a consultation with them but all the process before him is not worth it. If you want assistance the same day you call or need anything, this is NOT the office for you or me. I am over this office and a very dissatisfied patient unfortunately. I need it them obviously but they sure dont need me as a patient, they have plenty of other patients. Me and my husband are just another couple to them.
Awful experience I deeply regret. You will be treated like cattle, herded in as a number, prodded and funneled out. There is no respect for how important the service is for your future nor the expense you are undertaking to do so.They demonstrated almost zero individualized care for your specific case. It seemed like it was a guessing game and zero regard for the outcomes or costs for treatment plan changes. After my mediocre retrieval results despite having 19 follicles the doctor never contacted me to discuss the results neither did she call after i reached out to explain i was having severe pains up until 2weeks after the procedure. I took a month to fully recover and figured it out on my own.I would NEVER recommend this place and i am deeply regretful especially after such an incredible out of pocket expense for something sooo incredibly important.
While the whole staff was amazing, from the receptionists, nurses, phlebotomy, techs, even all the staff in the O.R. I have to say I really loved working with Marissa and Mariam who were the sole providers on my team. They were so sweet the entire time, they called after every appointment to update me on what was going on. Marissa was available all the time to answer my questions even when she was out of town she still called to make sure everything was okay and explained every step of the process to me. They made the process rather fast , they always told me what to expect before and after each appointment. I have to say I felt so comfortable in their care , again I really enjoyed the staff as a whole I love how they are so through with everything and I’m so grateful for them for taking great care of me from beginning to end. They make sure you don’t come out of pocket for a single thing, and when you are in need of any medications or really anything at all they get it to you the same day just about. Plenty of resources available for them to teach you how to administer your own medications. I would definitely consider doing this again only because of how caring and how amazing they made this entire process for me. I really hope a family or a few families gets to bring a new life into this world, and if you’re considering donating just to help, I would highly recommend working with Marissa anytime, she is really the sweetest. I could go on and on about how good they are but that would take ages ! But all in all, I am very grateful to have been in their care!
I had the wonderful opportunity of recently becoming an Egg Donor this year. The process from start to finish was a breeze! Marissa & her staff at the Margate office are absolutely AMAZING!!! They are very kind, caring, and understanding. I am a current nursing student and they were able to adjust to my busy schedule which was very appreciative. The staff always called to check to see how I was doing and I absolutely loved how great the communication was. I am excited to begin the process again and become a 2nd time donor
So I started my process to become a surrogate last year in November. It has in fact been a process but nonetheless, worth it. Wendy and Gia have been my point of contact from beginning to end. They are understanding, communicative with me and very sincere. I appreciate them being so on top of everything with me and helping me towards giving my intended parents a family of their own.
I had such an amazing experience with IVF Florida! Marissa and her team took such amazing care of me during the entire process and reassured me every step of the way. I never felt uncomfortable asking any questions and always felt cared for. I am so grateful to have had such a pleasant experience during my journey, and I cant wait to continue working with Marissa and her team :)
I wanted to share my positive HSG experience because I was terrified with so many negative reviews, however most are not related to HSG. So this is specifically for that. I postponed my apt due to the negative reviews. The check in process was great! The team was friendly and explained every step. The lady in the lab was awesome as well!Dr Marcelo J. Barrionuevo is a top class doctor! he made such an uncomfortable experience very pleasant. You will feel discomfort but not severe and I believe its due to his skill. He explained every step and provided a picture to me at the end. His nurse was excellent as well. We were actually joking at the end. Thanks for all you do! Would definitely recommend this MD for HSG procedures
This is our second time coming to IVF Florida. We just had an FET done with Dr. Gualtiery who is an AMAZING doctor! Not only is he great at what he does but he also listens and cares about his patients. Everyone at the Margate office was so friendly and kind. Nurse practitioner Marissa Barnes and her assistant who helped us tremendously through a very scary phase in our journey. They’re such an amazing team , I can’t thank them enough.
First I would like to say thank you to the all the staff at IVF Florida. Dr.Hoffman and Robin were nothing short of amazing! I was a surrogate and started my process of IVF Jan of 2022, transferred April of 22 and delivered a healthy beautiful surro baby Dec of 22. Without IVF Florida, Dr Hoffman and robin I would have never been able to give a family their sweet baby! Thank you again and God bless y’all!
I was a patient for one year and during that time knew that this practice was terrible but it wasn’t until I sought care somewhere else I realized just how bad IVF Florida truly is. Several missed diagnosis for both myself and my husband. I was treated as if I was a number and the treatment felt as a copy and paste, if it worked for them it should work for you. I would leave crying most appointments because of the lack of empathy and compassion from the staff. Walking into my first IUI, I wasn’t informed how many follicle(s) I had. It was not from a lack of effort on my part of asking. I was constantly told to check the portal for more information or someone will call you. I was made to feel like a burden for asking questions regarding what was happening in my own body and for asking for help in a process that was foreign to me. My doctor never saw me after two failed treatments and the answer to what’s next was to keep repeating what hadn’t already worked twice. In a year, I saw the doctor 4x and 2 of those were 10 minute virtual appointments to which I was belittled and told my infertility was because I had caught Covid which was my fault for not being vaccinated. If you are seeking fertility treatment, you already know it’s a difficult journey, don’t make it any more difficult on yourself and steer clear of this practice. They should be ashamed of how they treat people undergoing such a difficult and sensitive process.
I was able to have the opportunity to work with some amazing people at this location that made my egg donation experience the best and most comfortable one. It was my first time going through the donation process and Marissa and her team did a wonderful job making sure I was knowledgable for what to expect during this process. Any questions I had, they were answered right away and they made me feel like I was top priority. Even the days that I was not able to see Marissa or Miriam they still called to check on me the same day I went in. I would also like to shout out the ultrasound technicians and the blood work team. At one point I was seeing them every day or every other day and even though it was 7 in the morning, they still smiled, made me feel like they cared, and answered any other question I had. Unfortunately, I do not remember the names for these two people but they stood out the most to me. Overall, I would have never finished this process if it was not for this awesome team! The day of the procedure I was taken care of by nurse Coral and she was wonderful. I told her I was a little sick and she put an IV in right away and made me feel so comfortable. I was able to meet with the doctor and anesthesias for my procedure and they were also fantastic! If I was to do this procedure again, the only place I would do this with is IVF Florida Reproductive Associates - the Margate location!
I typically do not leave reviews but there are a few staff members that need recognition. I originally started my journey with IVF Florida in 2020 staff members were always nice, but the compassion wasnt really there. We decided to take a break from treatment for a while to see if we could conceive on our own, that didnt work so in 2023 we decided to start treatment again. I met 3 AMAZING team members this time around. We will start with Nurse Sarah she is the kindest, most caring, sweetest nurse I have met in a LONG time. she puts in that extra effort to comfort her patients when it is needed, or make them laugh. She went out of her way to comfort me when i was upset, thats not something you see in nurse anymore. Then theres Nurse Yanelli she is the sweetest. She made sure I was comfortable through out the whole procedure she went above & beyond. Lastly no one ever gives the check out staff any love, (LOL). I dont know her name but Ive checked out with her a few times she is so funny, kind, & sweet. (I know she loves ice if that helps with who she is.) These 3 ladies deserve to be recognized for going above & beyond to show their patients that they care & that is important not only in the feild of nursing but in fertility treatment. Fertility treatment is an emotional roller coaster full of heart ach, disappointment, & happiness all rolled into one. Sometimes you need a caring hug, or a kind follow up call instead of a portial message, or just a smile. THANK YOU LADIES FOR BEING AWESOME! It means more than you could ever know.
Very thorough clinic. Takes their time with every patient. The patient portal was super helpful for me to keep track of everything. As a school teacher, they always worked with me to get me in for blood draws and ultrasounds before the work day. It did take us time and lots of patience. But here we are with our three week old son. IVF FLORIDA, and all of the doctors, specifically mine, Dr. Weitzman just were incredible. Also, all of the nurses were knowledgeable and helpful. I felt supported throughout the whole process. Thanks for my angel baby boy.
After years of infertility I finally got pregnant after using one round of clomid,My doctor name was Marcello barrinuevo I never met him but his ream was awesome and every appointment was great.I am now 12 weeks pregnant..
Angela the ultrasound tech was super sweet and gentle! Took her time and was very thorough!
While the journey is difficult at times, Dr. Hoffman and staff help keep your spirits up. The journey will all be worth it in the end and I am beyond grateful for Dr. Hoffman and his team for all of their support.
This place is the most amazing, lovely, and they treat you like family, my experience with the ultrasound people, with Marissa, the nurse practitioner, and Alicia, who are so kind, respectful, so full of joy and have the best words to always tell you, you create a beautiful connection while in the process. I really recommend this clinic
I was so impressed with the professionalism, expertise, kindness, gentleness, and attention to detail I received during my care at IVF florida. Over the course of my journey to get pregnant I visited almost all of the office locations due to my erratic work schedule. They were super accommodating and they know what they are doing. I did a lot of research for the right facility for me and I am so glad I chose them. They were very reasonable cost wise. The facilities were all clean and the staff was friendly. Dr Weissman was super nice and went above and beyond for me. They made the journey a lot less scary than it is generally made out to be. I would use them again in a heartbeat! I am forever thankful to IVF FL because I now have my little pumpkin after a very successful first try at IVF with 3 embryos in the freezer to spare. Thank you IVF FL!
Had my egg retrival today (first time) the staff is beyond professional and caring. I had come in from PSL and was stuck on 95 for an extra hour due to a horrible crash that shut the highway down. They were so understanding and the second I came in they couldnt do enough. The doctor was kind and explained everything the nursing staff is amazing. I cant say enough good about everyone . Everyone exceeds your expectations from start to finish. Im a Jupiter patient but the margate office is just as amazing. Im very greatful 🙏. Highly recommend
So far no issues like the many being listed here and I have been going since May of 2015. There is a short wait of about 10 minutes for regular monitoring and ultrasound during stimulation period. BUT I have never experienced rude or unhappy employees. On the contrary I love the ultrasound team and the IVF nurses are wonderful!!! They are busy, VERY BUSY, but I havent had any issues with their attitude. I wouldnt want to trust my fertility with a clinic that has an empty waiting room....I have had 3 appointments with Dr. Hoffman and have been BEYOND impressed with his personality and of course his knowledge. My fiancé is very difficult to please when it comes to doctors and he loves this man! He takes his times, covers all the issues and then you sit with the IVF nurse team and discuss the treatment plan. Their system runs smoothly to me....We are not pregnant yet, but I have no concerns at all about the ability of this team. Sadly Im wondering if all the negative reviews are simply upset patients.......
By far the best experience I have ever had!! Marissa Barnes and her team were beyond amazing. From the very first time I walked into IVF Florida in Margate it felt like home. If you are looking for a team of experts this is your place!! Thank you again everyone at the Margate office.
Erica did an excellent, succinct and thorough job of explaining the financial aspect. highly recommend her.
Exceptional journey, cant express in words..Always thankful for giving us the most precious gift of our life.
During my first visit with Dr. Hoffman, after completing all needed tests, he said my numbers looked good for my age, at that time I was 42. It gave us hope so we decided to go thru with his recommendation of IVF. After numerous appointments, shots to my belly, a small fortune and lots of hope, the moment of the eggs retrieval came. When I went to the surgery room, I realized Dr. Hoffman was not doing the retrieval, it was another doctor which I had never heard of but they told me she was also very experienced and I went thru with it because it was all about timing at that point. She extracted 6 eggs and between labs and other things only 2 survived and unfortunately none of them made it to embryo. After many days of waiting for results I received the horrible news. When I met with Dr. Hoffman again, one of his nurses was a rude as can be and while I was waiting to see the doctor, she is telling me all the statistics and how it is very hard at my age to get pregnant with in vitro. Then Dr. Hoffman came in and confirmed that I would be better off using an egg donor. I asked him crying why didnt he tell me this before spending close to $20,000? He said because my numbers looked good, but he suggested an egg donor at this point. I can understand that he wanted me to try with my own eggs first but what I didnt like about this office is there is a lot of misinformation and they wont tell you the truth until you have a failed your first Ivf cycle. By then its too late and the only way to continue is to spend another $20,000, they still wont guarantee anything. I wish I would had gone to another office because I wasted my time and money with them. This is just my experience and I was hesitant about typing this review since it involves my privacy, however after reading other reviews and realizing that there is a pattern, I decided to do it and help others make an informed decision.
I was referred to IVF Florida by my OB back in January 2017. From the very beginning I was so nervous and didnt know what to expect. Every single person I encountered from the front desk staff, to the person who drew my blood, the entire nursing team, the doctors (I had the chance to meet 5 of the doctors - all excellent!), the surgical team (for the ER and FET) were all outstanding. Dr. Hoffman was my doctor and he is amazing. He will not sugar coat anything and will tell you how it is. He is very upfront with you and does not want there to be any surprises. I really appreciated his honesty. I have recently graduated from IVF Florida and I have to say I am sad to go back to my OB. The entire staff has become like family and has been there every step of the way. I wish Dr. Hoffman could delivery my little bundle of joy that he helped us create!
Edit: they didnt even read my review before replying... That should tell you all you need to know.Absolutely terrible experience. They denied my sample as legitimate even though 1) I am NOT pursuing FDA approval, and 2) I have WRITTEN CONFIRMATION from Reprotech that they provide storage services for patients who have tested reactive for any communicable disease. And dont think of this is a safety concern, for I immediately scheduled an appointment at a competing fertility clinic, who had zero problems regarding my FDA ineligibility. I wouldnt be surprised if I were the first ever male-born client to have been to IVF Florida. Every SINGLE step of the way I heard conflicting views; and as a patient it gave me crippling, debilitating anxiety. In fact, I would HAPPILY drive to a different city, state, or country before I ever think about returning. And also, so help me god if I get a boilerplate reply from the PR team doing damage control: if they want to learn more, they have my contact information (same as my Google name!) and have full permission contact me PRIVATELY in writing.
I could not be happier with our procedure yesterday!! The young lady who checked us in and stayed with me went over the top she was so nice and caring! I had to travel up from the Jupiter office and felt just at home as I do at the Jupiter office!! It also helps that Dr.G is the best!! We are so happy!! ( And no were not pregnant YET but they have made this experience so less stressful than it already is)!!
Seeing the negative reviews about IVF Florida makes me mad. I was initially referred to IVF Florida and chose not to go there from the start due to these reviews. I went to Boca Fertility. It was a horrible experience, nothing was explained to me and no answers were given. I decided to leave Boca Fertility and try IVF Florida and am so happy I did! IVF Florida and their staff became my family over my five years with them! They were patient, understanding and gave me answers. I have two children and am currently pregnant with my third all thanks to them. Please dont listen to the negative reviews. IVF is hard, I get it, but just because a cycle doesnt work does not mean the doctors, nurses and team of staff was not trying or didnt care. Unfortunately, these people cannot control how our body responds. Thank you IVF Florida!
Beautiful facility with caring staff! Marissa Barnes was extremely helpful and held my hand my through every step. I would definitely recommend going to this office for any or all of your IVF needs!!
I may update this as things go along, but so far: First appointment was 2 hours. Dr. Ory was confident, knowledgeable, and left me hopeful of solution. The nurses were all very nice, unlike what other reviews say. Busy, but very kind and eased my nervousness. I saw two nurses and a nurse-in-training that day, two of them gave me a pap smear and I never felt uncomfortable. I was given a bunch of homework. Lab tests, waivers, insurance, ovulation tests, ultrasounds, etc.Since then I have gone to a 10 day post-ovulation lab test, a day 3 lab test and ultrasound. The ultrasound techs were very nice. Even though I called to schedule an appointment for the ultrasound, the appointment never got scheduled. BUT they still saw me. Again this day was a tech and an assistant, or a tech and a nurse (dont remember) but they were very friendly. The lab tech is nice, although it seems to just be her there. The only downsides: The front desk staff seems like they dont want to be there. Not a very good face of the company. Additionally, whoever answers the phones (probably the same people) also seems like they are already done with this conversation before it started. Also, when you leave a message for a call back, you dont always get one. And when I had called on day one for my day three ultrasound, they didnt put the appointment in the computer. NOW, if this continues or if my appointments get moved or canceled because of this, then maybe my rating will go down. If NOTHING else happens, maybe Ill move it up a star. Ill update this later.
Dr. Bou Nemer and the IVF Florida team were amazing! Thanks to their help we now have a baby girl. They were very good about providing education and responding messages through their portal. I would definitely recommend them. One thing to keep in mind (at least when I went) is that not all locations offer all services. So sometimes I had to go to a further location for a different service. Just something to account for, the service was great across all locations I visited.
They are money hungry only! They treat patients like numbers, their front desk customer service have multiple women workers that just sit there and gossip about every single patient that passes by. Their nurses are the worst, rude and entitled as it comes! No compassion for what were going thru as women and infertility, no respect for the patients times and set appointments, and try to complain about anything they do and theyll put you on their black list and make faces when you arrive for treatment.Do yourself a favor and run from this place, the IVF process is already very difficult and stressful as it is for anyone to be put to deal with all these non sense and lack of compassion. Trust me when I say theyre just in this business for money and not for the humanity expected in this whole process. RUN!
Update!!!!! The supervisor Lisa there was remarkable! She went above and beyond to help me. Everyone there was very nice and pleasant which made me very comfortable. I didnt have to wait for 1 min. Dr. Ory was Superb and made me so comfortable to have him as my physician. They all get 5 stars from me👐
If your expecting to spend a lot of money and be treated like a cash cow this is your place. Terrible service is an understatement. Had to drop off a SA Sample, they said drop off was between 11am-2pm. Showed up at 12:50pm, obviously this is a very private matter and difficult procedure, which requires planning and scheduling. Well, all time and efforts were for nothing. They would not accept my sample bc of the time.Employee’s did not care in the slightest and were uncompromising in anyway possible, even when I was told the time frame from them. I had also called this morning 3 times and unable to speak to anyone in person, so I waited on hold for over 15 minutes 2 different times and still no answer. The purpose of the phone call was to confirm the time frame slot so something like this didn’t happen. Now, I have to go tell my wife that they would not accept my SA sample which is going to cause major marital problems, a huge fight, disappointment, discouragement and most likely end our attempts to have a baby.Welcome to the modern US health care system, where the only thing that matters is your money and you as a person do not matter and if you have a concern or complaint just go ahead and pound sand bc “they” have all the power and we are at their rules and mercy.
1. Expensive2. Margate location- mass production line, girls at front desk on 3rd floor are unprofessional, unsympathetic and insensitive to a patients very sensitive situation. If you dont like your job go find something else. The Older woman at front desk when you are getting ready to go for retrieval and transfer is great! Very peppy and likeable. Great face to see when you first walk in....- inside the hospital beds for retrievals and transfers is very non private. You can hear everyones conversations. Yes, we are all going through the same thing to an extent but thats not cool for people who are doing this for the first time and under lot of stress. -3. Overall not happy with constantly seeing different doctors. I started with Dr. Christie(whom is great) and was sure he would be doing the retrieval and transfer but on the day of retrieval I had Dr. Weis who was very nice but Ive never even seen her let alone met her. On the Day of transfer I had Dr Maxson. Again this whole process is not comfortable for most people. You get comfortable with one doc and want them to do the whole process. I dont like the feel of being a dollar sign just getting pushed through a production line.4. I like the way things were done in the Miami lakes office when Dr Cabrera and Dr Graubert were there. Things were far more personal. The team I worked with was amazing! Very supportive and attentive to my emotions and needs. I feel sorry for anyone who goes to margate for the first time.5. The OR was good. Nurses and anesthesiologist were good and attentive. The anesthesiologist is definitely the most comforting one in place.Everyone has their own experiences. My first experience was amazing in miami lakes. Second however was totally different.
Dr Hoffman is amazing! I have used this clinic many times and I cannot say anything bad about it! IVF journey is stressful as it is but they are organized and will walk you through everything. I will be forever grateful !
As a person trying to stay positive through the process of trying to conceive, reading bad reviews wasnt a help. I went with this location because, even though I was told to stay away, everyone has their own experience and I would like to share mine for the next person who is going to look for an IVF location and can read something positive. I am really sorry for the ones who have had bad experiences but mine has been the complete opposite. As my husband and I walked in, we were greeted by a very nice receptionist who was training someone else and the trainee was super nice! They offered us coffee and the sitting area was clean and spacious. The wait time was about 30 minutes but I expect that from any drs appt. I work with drs and if one is running on time, its a miracle.I was then brought in by the nurse who took all of my information/history which was really nice too! Didnt seem annoyed by everything I was telling her and was very attentive.I was seen by Dr. V. Weitzman at IVF Margate. After reading through the doctors profiles, I felt really good about picking her as my fertility specialist. As soon as she walked into the door and met my husband and I, she was presentable, funny and super nice! She let me talk, I didnt feel rushed to get out how you normally would at a drs office and made me feel comfortable and made me feel at ease about the process. That alone, made me happy to have picked her and this location! The checkout lady was super nice too! She answered all of my questions and explained everything with my insurance and took the time to make sure I understood everything.Days later I returned for my hormone testing and ultrasound. My appt was for 7am and my blood work and ultrasound was done within 20 minutes! Yes, I was the first appt but it was still fast. The techs were really nice to me.Then I was scheduled for my HSG testing and Dr. Weitzman did my testing. Ive heard that different IVF facilities get sent somewhere else to get that done but I was glad that my own doctor was able to do the test for me and gave me my results and explained it to me. Again, attentiveness wins!Im obviously in the beginning stages but I recommend this place and this doctor 150%!! I love the staff, I love the techs who are super nice and I love Dr. Weitzman!
The best Donor group ever!!!! I had the most amazing experience with Miriam and Marissa. I always felt comfortable and will go back to them again and again. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! ❤️
Horrible! The staff told my daughter IVF was covered twice on the phone before the appointment. After an hour of them still trying to convince us to see the doctor I saw the notes. They knew it was not covered four days before her appointment! As my daughter was crying, they tried to blame us for not calling our insurance! All they want is money!!! Go to a practice that cares about peoples feelings! If I could give them no stars I would?
Infertility can be such an emotional journey. I am so thankful for Dr. Maxson and his entire team of nurses and staff for making this journey one I will never forget. I know not every patient has positive outcomes and no amount of science can fix that, but we are thankful for answers. From the beginning of this process our every question was answered. Our future felt safe in hands that genuinely cared about making us parents and keeping our spirits lifted even after some appointments that left us a little broken. We are now pregnant and couldnt be more thankful for science and this organization. I recommend it 150%!
I feel legitimately lucky to be one of Dr. Orys patients. He is extremely compassionate and thorough not to mention a highly accomplished medical professional. The entire office is perfectly organized, every moment is planned and scheduled. The costs are discussed and reviewed beforehand and they even have financial counselors available if you are feeling extra anxious or need some additional help which removes 90% of the stress involved in seeing a fertility specialist when both health & financial concerns are on your mind. Thanks to the incredible group here, my husband and I can focus on treatment instead of hidden costs and tight timelines. I have never been treated in a more considerate manner at any doctor office ever before and I cant thank each person enough from the receptionist to the wonderful nursing team for their real smiles, patience, and overall kind and gentle manner during our visits. Thank you for working hard to help me with my health issues so my husband and I can work towards having a healthy child in the future. You all are amazing.
Im so heartbroken did are first cycle it failed we should just stop there. Time and time again we let them know we asked how much left on are insurance. The first cycle was so bad to point my wife had to call them to find out information. The doctor him self didnt really care. They forgot to order meds so we had to rush and get them. They say I know this is a hard process for my wife but they didnt show they care not one time .. almost lost my wife cus of this place.. I wish we never tried.. but being foolish try a second cycle.. the doctor new he did us wrong to point he said he will help us out . No help given just words didnt care ... But when it came to billing they never forgot that.. this was my wife only chance and they ruined the whole experience. I feel so bad that I put my wife through all this.😭😭😭😭😭 I love her so much got this job just to give her a chance.. they dont care at all we have to call them. Always a nurse never the doctor. Now all are eggs mite get destroyed.. God a peace of us mite die in a lab... The pain this place has caused us...
Really bad experience. Be ready to receive a surprise bill even a year after treatment. By the time I was doing my treatments, I paid for services covered by my insurance because they did not follow instructions to receive approval for medications. There was one time that I was in the middle of the treatment without medications. A mess! Not to mention, that I received a bill as a self pay having insurance that covers the treatment. The funny part is that the person in the front desk tried to explain to me that I dont know my benefits (Really, I work in a hospital doing exact the same thing, calculate patient benefits). Thinking about it, I dont know how I stayed too long in that place, maybe the idea that the doctor is knowledgeable, but the staff gave you to much stress, and you really dont need it when you are doing something so important in your life. And the nurses, other story... One of them told me in my face, that she did not receive my mammo, really, I did it at my job and my co worker sent it by fax to make sure that that the doctor had it even though the system does it automatically. And the best of all, I live 1 hour and a half from that place, the nurse told me you can go to any pharmacy to buy the medicine, and it needs to be refrigerated. So I drove back home to buy it close to my house, next I found out that it was a lie. The medicine is through special pharmacy, only Walgreens next to them has it, so I must drive back to there to buy it when I found out that IVF did not summit the approval for my insurance. A really mess. There is not option to give them cero star, which is the rate for them.
This place only has 2.9 stars .I will give them one. I did just one cycle and it didn’t work. I was waiting for a nice phone call after the implantation to give me the results and a nice supportive words saying I am sorry. Dr Barrionuevo called me like 10 days later, he was very cold over the phone, just to tell me : don’t waste your money, you will never get pregnant , you are past your reproductive years, he didn’t say I am sorry it didn’t work and you should try something different because you are older . He NEVER say don’t waste your money before to start all the process and charge me a lot of money for all the test and surgical cleaning procedures before they actually do the IVF. This is a very difficult time already and they treat you like you are a walking money . Please read all the bad reviews before to start this difficult , emotional and expensive process, you have more fertility clinics and staff members with human feelings.
Can I just say that we absolutely love Dr.Weitzman and the nursing staff! Dr.Weitzman has been so patient and kind throughout our entire journey here at IVF Florida. Dr.Weitzman and her nursing staff made it all possible for my fiancé and I to become pregnant. I have asked so many questions throughout this hard process and I was always answered in a professional way, it was never an issue. We are so over the moon happy!!! If you’re looking for a professional, understanding, and amazing doctor, Dr.Weitzman is it!!! For those speaking about the expenses, we were told prior to beginning IVF that it is a very expensive treatment, so you know exactly what you’re getting yourself into. Anyways, so happy with the care and professionalism we received from all staff!! From the lab, to the front desk, to the ultrasound tech, to the nurses, and our amazing doctor!
So kind and caring. Cant wait for the journey ahead.
Front desk staff leaves a lot to be desired and their billing is all screwed up. They are never on the same page. Drs are nice, most nurses are good. But a lot of the staff has an attitude. Even complaining about being at work at 7am. I dont want to hear you complaining about your job as you are about to stick a needle in my arm!
I had to get a procedure done and verified multiple times with them that the entire procedure was covered by my insurance. They reassured me multiple times. A month later and now I have a bill with them. I called to ask why and they kept referring me to my insurance. Even though before the procedure took place they contacted my insurance twice and told me that I would not have a bill from them. If I would’ve known this then I would not have had the procedure done at this facility.
This place is like a car sales lot until you sign, and then it becomes like the Beetlejuice waiting room from hell. The desk staff are detached and almost scornful. One unisex bathroom for up to 10 patients in the smaller offices. Up to a 90-minute wait time for scans. You can never speak to anyone directly about your treatment without leaving a message in a portal. And, several months after failed treatment, I continue to receive bills for the so-called storage of embryos that were unviable. This is after many emails, phone calls, and filling out a required form and having it *notarized* and resending twice. Youll pay for the top tier of care (4 times what it would be in Europe) and you get Walmart service. There are currently 4 people (Michael Baker, Felipe Perez, Tara Akhavan, Marci Davidson) all CCd in a never-ending message thread about what it will take to stop billing me, and 5 weeks after I sent in my second notarized request, they still havent figured it out.We are now at an IVF clinic in Europe. The nurses see us daily if we want. They answer emails directly. Same exact protocol. 1/4 the cost.
This office has bungled every single step of an already stressful process. No communication, no investment in their patients, flat out misinformation, all wrapped up with a less than hospitable attitude. If you can manage to go anywhere else to begin/continue your fertility journey other than IVF Margate, I strongly reccomend that you do so.
Bad experience and we got tired of been left behind for every step or to know what is next?. Be aware that they will say everything looks good but Is not!! You may lose the try and money but for them it’s just money to come and to come again. While waiting for them I’m glad we search around for other options, realistic statistics or chances and best advise. Please if you are a couple like we are search for more opinions or places not just get yourself in their hands. This is an important process that is very expensive and with a lot of feelings and emotions as a couple. At this place we left feeling that for them we were just money . That is our impression. Good luck with your process and hope you can be new parents too. 🙂
Unorganized staff lacking professionalism and courtesy. One issue after another. Bigger clinics do not mean better and from our experience at IVF Florida that has certainly been true. We should have checked reviews as the ones regarding the poor quality staff has thus far been accurate in our time with them.
I saw Dr. Ory as a patient for fibroids and complications with a failed pregnancy. He is so knowledgeable and kind. I was a patient 8 years ago when I was 42 I was so impressed with them that now Im 50 and I came to work for this practice. There is so much collective knowledge in this practice. They work hand in hand with the other doctors. The nurses have been here an average of 15 years some 20+. I was a patient, I know it is stressful going through the process but these Doctors are here for patients! This practice has 31 years in South Fl. The lab is state of the art and the Lab makes a huge huge difference in freezing of embryos. Please research the success rates. At the end of the day the Lab and doctors are why you choose a facility and this one is the BEST in South Florida.
I love my doctor (Dr. Weitzman) but the staff and other teams are so frustrating to work with. They make it seem like your inconveniencing them, showing no empathy for the situation your going through like it itself isnt already depressing. When you call the receptionist answer and redirect your call to a voicemail, after leaving a message they only return your call between 3-4pm (if they do decide to return your call). If you miss the call theres no calling back, your out of luck for the day. Try again tomorrow with no guarantee.
Treated at IVF Florida 5 months ago (not 49 years as Google says, haha). IVF treatment is pretty much the same in most clinics around the world -- the protocol I had here was the standard one most any other clinic would prescribe. The cost was around $18,000 for one cycle, not including medication, which was $6500. The exact same medication costs $2000 anywhere else in the world.Rude and belittling desk staff as many people have mentioned. The doctor was late to do my retrieval--nobody knew where he was, and the anesthesiologist was visibly embarrassed, since women on gurneys were stacked up like planes. Their billing department is atrociously disorganized & will send bills way after things are supposedly settled.
My experience with this office started out good, until it was time to do my cannulation the doctor who did it have no compassion or care for his patient only the money.didnt explained in detail result of the procedure.i immediately lose trust in this office. take 2 min and charge me $1200.waste of time and money.im now trying to look for a different fertility doctor to make my dream come through.
I see why this place only have 3 stars.I have fibroids and i was recommended to go here and my primary sent over my MRI and ultrasound the doctor here said that they needed to run their own test I had a total of 7 visits every visit costing me over 200.00. It took for me to cry on my 7th visit begging asking that they just take them out for him to tell me that he no longer perform surgery on fibroids that he had to refer me to somewhere else... that hurt me because he knew my issue when I first came they just want to take your money. On top of that he promised that hell send over my records to the new doc and I called records 4 times 3 out of the 4 times they gave me their word that theyll send it over and they never did. This place is annoying. Tgey
My wife and I went through IVF at the IVF Florida Margate location and although it was one of the most challenging things weve ever been through, there is no other place we would rather go. We got pregnant on the 2nd attempt and our little girl will be born on 08/18/17. Dr. Maxson is an incredible doctor and we love all of the staff members at the Margate Office. From the moment we walked in, Lynette would always greet us with a smile which means a lot when you are going through something so difficult and stressful. Nurses Bonnie, Melody and the others were also great. Words cant express how grateful we are.
I called to schedule an appointment the lady was so rude I’m seeking another clinic.
Went here for a second opinion and they were worse then my regular doctor. I had an appt with Dr. HOFFMAN and he is very cut throat. He went straight for ivf hense the name on the building. He also went straight for two procedures before he would start any treatment even though I had one of those procedures done already. They also went to send me out for blood work that I had just had. Dr. HOFFMAN will say that he will do whatever you want but trust me its going to be after what he does first. I never went back to see him. I feel like sometimes you have to trust your gut feeling.
I was the patient here and they treated me like just one of their numbers. I agree with most of the bad reviews here, the nurses are rude, They will not treat you as human beings as they are a corporate so they only care about numbers. Many times, I had to wait for at least an hour for my appointment with the doctor there while I came 15 mins early before the appointment as they expected me to. One time I asked to change appointment because I had an urgent family situation to come an hour late but they said no to me. then few weeks after that I made appointment again at 8 , they said it was full, so I got the 10 am app, and they called me to come at 8 am as there was a cancellation, and guess what... I had to wait for almost 2 frickin hours for my appointment as they claimed they had a leak in their appointment room, hellooo there were many rooms that can be used at that time..And if you call them to leave a message either to the CS or Nurse, they rarely call you back or even have a professional decency to at least leave a message to your voicemail.Waittt...not only that, the nurses are rude, one time I came for my appointment to hear about my result with doctor as I did the physical examination a week before and one of the nurse just dragged me to the exam room, she stubbornly said that i was supposed to be examined that day, i argued a bit...and then another nurse corrected her mistake that my appointment was just to see the doctor... i mean in a world of PROFESIONALISM, dont they update the news of what has been going on with the patient!!!... and one more thing, one time I came to see the doctor to hear about my result and guess what...they doctor didnt get any result from his own nurse, while they nurse had the result already and they all work in one same frickin floor. I dont care if its Wlamart employee making mistakes but they are nurses working with peoples health for God sake...There is lack of communication between the Front Desk/ CS/Admin and the nurse department... their work is all over the place...My husbands cousin and I finally decided to walk out from that place and WILL NEVER RECOMMEND this place to anyone. Lesson learned for me that Id rather spend more but being treated like a human being, and if I paid top dollar and get this kind of service, I would go see other doctor that want my money.
No matter the outcome, this staff is amazing. I went to another clinic in Plantation before coming here. That experience was a waste of money, time, and energy on the first visit.Dr. Barrionuevo was our Doctor, he is awesome. The staff are friendly and professional.
My fiance and I started going to IVF Florida Margate office after myOB-GYN referred me to a reproductive endocrinologist. I dealt with IVF Florida in 2006 when I was donating my eggs to infertile couples. Right from the start of the process things were crazy from setting up appointments to alot of billing issues. When we went to the initial consultation with Dr Hoffman, we went over all our medical history and right from the start he started lecturing my fiance about taking steriods. He went over all the test and everything he wanted us to do, we were fine with that. We were asking about our options and different things we could do and he said lets get all these tests done and see what everything comes back and then we will discuss the options. We were not happy about this but we figured we knew what he was doing so we did.My prolactin levels were a little elevated. Normal is between 4-23 mine was 29. He orderded a MRI. This came back negative. He put me on medication Dositnex I had to take 1 pill twice a week. After taking the 4th pill I felt so bad. I was dizzy and nauseous all the time, I had no energy for anything. I dealt with these side effects for almost 3 weeks. He wanted to do a semen analysis on my fiance along with blood work since he takes steroids. He insisted that he get off the steroids so that we can see what the blood levels were. He did the semen test and we even had major issues with that cause we did the off site collection. We went to take the sample up and my fiance did not have his ID on him (even though they took copies duringo the first appt) they refused to take the sample. After getting really frustrated from not being able to have sex for 4 days to provide a sample, we went downstairs and I ended up going back up talking to the manager and after about 10 mins of trying to get her to understand she said she would take the sample. The results came back and he had 1 million sperm. We were excited to hear this news. After this he had followed what Dr Hoffman said about getting off steroids and he took all the medications then he did the bloodwork. After doing all this when the blood work came back his levels still were not where they should have been.I had all my blood work done and at our follow up appt Dr Hoffman tells me that one of my STD test came back positive and that the nurse called and told me this. I told him I never got a call about any results. He tested me again and the test came back negative. Not happy about thinking I had an STD and being told like that.He had already started taken steroids again due to the fact that he had no sex drive and was very depressed due to his testosterone being so low. How are you supposed to have a baby with no sex drive. This was not a fun time for either of us. Every time we went for another appt or test or follow up he would always lecture him about taking steriods. He told us our only option was to do IVF which was starting at $24,000 - $36,000.We decided to go see another Dr to get a second opinion. The first appt we had with him was totally different, he gave us all our options up front. After the Dr looked over all the records from IVF of Fla he asked why I was on the medication, he said does not do anything with prolactin until its over atleast 50. He wanted to do a semen analysis and he explained that if he found sperm he would freeze it so we were able to use when we were ready which is what IVF of Fla should have done or told us.The analysis came backs there were 3 DEAD sperm. Due to the fact of him getting off steroids and getting back on it completely shut down his pituitary gland. We waited a few weeks and did another semen test and this time there nothing at all.He now has no sperm and we had to look at all of our options. If Dr Hoffman at IVF of Fla would have given us options from the start we could have froze some of the sperm from the 1 million he had.All I can say is when I was making them money by donating my eggs I was treated better then I was when I want back trying to have my own baby.
Horrible desk staff, the person called Ilene Caraballo is very rude, unprofessional and sent me to the wrong facility on purpose, also later she picked the far location to have the appointment with the doctor. People like that is the most dangerous asset in a business. It was not only with me, check the reviews and tons of patients had the same problem.I will never use their services again, not a good place for me and I will never recommend to my friends or anyone.
Would not recommend.- Mislabeled/Miscounted my frozen Oocytes and prematurely shipped them to an offsite storage facility.- Now I have to get the Oocytes shipped back to IVF Florida, putting my Oocytes in transit 2X more than they should have been.-TERRIBLE Communication, didnt prescribe me antibiotics before an invasive procedure, I had to reach out and request them after researching because they forgot, this is just one of many examples- DIdnt provide clear instructions post retrieval and it caused a complication, never gave me an emergency line to call and once I got in contact with a nurse she was dismissive and didnt listen to what I was saying, ended up having to seek medical help elsewhere
Im a current patient and im not too happy with this facility. First of all I paid $1300 for Hsg while in Boca IVF I paid $60... I had a procedure done on May 2016 and still this claim has not been submitted threw my insurance. I contacted my insurance and they said IVF margate submitted it incomplete without no MPI# or provider name.. I have called several times n left several emails and still no answer. They said insurance did not cover the procedure but they never submitted it neither...Good luck trying to speak to someone the lady that answer the calls to later transfer them to a voicemail is a sourpuss she is super rude and unprofessional I feel like Im bothering her every time I call gives me attitude every time. If u decide to come here make sure to verify with your insurance any procedure or ultrasound done. IVF will say insurance dont cover when in reality it does cover..Super expensive go to Boca IVF! This IVF margate was not what I expected it to be. Who checks the voicemails and emails....so they call call you back......oh wait NO ONE!!!!! But they are quick to call to collect $$$$$$compare IVF margate with Boca IVF plus Boca had better updated equipment.....and insurance covers more than IVF margate...just saying...u decide!BILLING DEPARTMENT DONT KNOW HOW TO DO THEIR JOB....LOOK AT ALLTHE BAD REVIEWS BECAUSE OF THE BILLING DEPT.....
The staff is very short and cold, which is especially inappropriate in a place where women should be able to go and feel supported through this traumatizing journey. Everything is super expensive. They assume you know the process abs don’t bother to explain anything to you. I had to remind them MANY times during my first IUI that I had never done it before because they refused to educate me on the process. I honestly don’t know why I let them do 3 IUI on me. All of which failed. Honestly, pick a better place for you.
The new office is gorgeous and feels so clean and soothing. This experience can be really tough going through it alone but I know I have a good team behind me in the Margate office.
I guess everyones experience is different. I cannot say enough about them. Starting from the girls at the front desk to Dr. Ory everyone is excellent here. I been with them for a few months now and i have not one complaint not even the wait time because Ive never waited for very long. Staff is on top of their emails and answer me right away.
We spent between $10,000 and $15000 trying to get pregnant almost three years ago. Nothing happened and we went elsewhere. Almost three years later we applied for a home loan but couldn’t get one because IVF Margate had sent us to collections. For $90 they claimed had not been paid but was. $90. And they ruined our lives after we paid them thousands of dollars.
Dr. Laurice Nemer was one of the best doctors I have ever been to!! She was so nice, talked to me during the whole procedure and was quick and gentle! I had the best experience thanks to her!
Took 2 months to get test results. I had to reach out multiple times to finally get them. Had to get bloodwork done at 9 am and waited an hour before I finally said something because I had another appointment. On another appointment I was waiting for a total of 4 hours for bloodwork and an ultrasound.
My experience has been positive so far at IVF. I never feel rushed during my appointments with Dr. Hoffman. Im in the beginning stages for my egg retrieval but so far Id recommend IVF Florida.
Dr.Hoffman is a great doctor! Unfortunately the office staff are not so great. The office staff are very rude and not professional. Susan the office manager is a bully! When I told her what problems I was having she just brushed me off and began talking to me rudely in a bullying way! She did not help me when I asked for help! Susan just kept going around the problem that need help with! I tried calling RICK several times before and after Thanksgiving and I left a message.RICK never returned my calls! It seems he doesn’t care about the patients! SUSAN,RICK AND THE OFFICE STAFF RUINED MY LIFE!!! I CAN NOT HAVE A BABY DUE TO MY TUBES WHERE REMOVED! THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT THE PATIENTS! THEY JUST CARE ABOUT MONEY AND HOW MANY PATIENTS THEY CAN GET! I DO NOT KNOW WHAT TO DO NOW! IF SOMEONE IS READING THIS PLEASE LET ME IF YOU CAN HELP ME! SUSAN IS A BULLY THAT MADE MY DEPRESSION WORSE! PLEASE AVOID THIS PLACE! DO NOT GO HERE!!!!
Awesome doctors and staff. Dr. Hoffman is the BEST!! It’s been 14 years since I was there but they helped me to get two beautiful baby boys. I highly recommend this office for your treatments.😊
This facility went above and beyond to make me feel so comfortable & informed during my recent cycle. I’ve worked with other agencys and this one was by far the absolute best. Thank you!😇
Reviews kinda scare you but the atmosphere is really nice the ladies there are really pleasant and helpful. Clean and beautiful office .. Went for a HSG
The service in this place is horrible! The girls in the front desk and the nurses are extremely rude. The nurses are never available to answer your calls. You can leave a thousand messages however they wil never return your calls. You can tell that they don’t like what they do.
THEY ACCEPT NEW PATIENTS VERY EASILY AND THEN HAVE NO CAPACITY TO ATTEND THEM. REQUESTING A NEW APPOINTMENT WAS SUPER EASY BUT FOLLOW-UP APPOINTMENTS IMPOSSIBLE, APPOINTMENTS WITH MONTHS AWAY EVEN WHEN MY RESULTS ARE TIME CRITICAL.
Run far away. This place is as scary as it says in all the reviews! I thought maybe the reviews were harsh and everything would not be as negative as it seems, but NOPE it really is that bad. If you want to enjoyThis process with your loved one and be stress free then don’t come here. Front desk staff is absolutely horrible and arrogant.
We love Dr. Maxson, he is very compasionate and proffesional, the nurses are great and we had no problems with the staff, we have a beautiful baby girl :)
I absolutely love this place. The nurses and my doctor were all amazing.
Really thorough. Great discussion
Good place , they care a lot about money is true and also they send your medication to their place ( no with our insurance ) 🤦🏻♀️ But doctor barrio nuevo is very good!
Coming back soon for my 2nd child 😁😁😁😁😁, great clinic, great doctors, i met each of them, great staff..ive got pregnant from 1st IVF
Service was so bad that made my gf cry of stress. This place needs to pick up the phone, they never pick it up, then goes to a customer service call center that no one knows nothing. Just horrible service everywhere! Stay away!
It was the worst experience ever in my life, the staff and everyone its super rude, the dont answer the calls, and its expensive, dont waste your time or money or a minute with this group
All of the staff are GREAT!
The most insensitive staff I have ever witnessed for such sensative medical issues
Bring lots of money and hope you dont have Brittany as your nurse.
Was having a good experience until now went for a FOLLOW UP appointment and had wait almost 2 hrs to be seen UNACCEPTABLE
Even though you have to wait for doctor appointments, their practice works! My daughter is proof of that!
The staff is the worst ! They made you come for appointment and in the same day they said it no was available !What a joke !
Doctors are good but staff are terrible and rude!!! never come back to this office !!!
Horrible staff. No patience and they don’t like to answer questions. They are very dismissive and rude
This place has the most rude customer service reps ever 👎👎
Poor customer service at such a vulnerable time.
DO NOT GO HERE!!!!! THIS PLACE NEED TO CLOSE FOR GOOD.
Dr. Ory was compassionate and confident.
Literally the worst
I don’t enjoy writing unpleasant reviews but people need to know what they’re getting themselves into.I was referred to IVF Florida to see Dr. Hoffman for a surgery that my fertility Dr. in the east coast doesn’t perform anymore. Unfortunately, Dr Hoffman + IVFFL are out of network with my insurance and that’s where all of my frustrations came from. Dr. Hoffman is very sweet and attentive but when it comes to billing, it’s a nightmare. The billing department is never honest or straightforward with how much a test, procedure, or appointment will cost. I called them multiple times asking for an estimate and they could never give me an upfront answer and then a few weeks later, a MULTIPLE thousand dollar bill would show up in my mailbox. I would email or call them upset and they’ll proudly read out my itemized bill but when I ask why they couldn’t tell me prior so I could prepare financially, I get a bunch of excuses, insurance talk, and “oh, no one told you? That’s surprising”. Since I’m out of network, it’s out of pocket… there shouldn’t be insurance talk. Just give me a price with no beating around the bush. I would ask if I could go to labs that take my insurance but IVFFL were not cooperative with that and made me go to their preferred lab, and now I gotta pay close to $1,000 just in labs. I had to pay $320 for a 20-30 min telehealth meeting with the Dr. where he only talked for about 5 mins with important information and the rest of the time was talking about unimportant things. I called billing asking why it cost so much when on their website it said for new patients OOP would cost around $200 but they said the price varies depending on how long you’re on the meeting with the doctor for. So essentially, I was charged more because the Dr decided to spend an extra 15-20 mins talking about personal things that had nothing to do with fertility and I’m charged for that!!!Unfortunately, before coming to IVF Florida I did read the reviews, knew what I was getting myself into, and just hoped I wouldn’t go through the same thing but all the negative reviews are definitely correct. The office is beautiful and the staff were really nice but the billing department ruined my experience.I know it’s my fault for going out of network. I knew it was going to be expensive. I just hate that they weren’t honest and upfront about how much. Im down $12k and I’m not even pregnant yet. At least I got my diagnosis.
It was many years after a dream, until we arrived at IVF Florida, and in the hands of Dr Barrionuevo, we managed to make this dream come true, he always encouraged us to move forward and not give up, and so it was, today we have our Princess with us longed for Emma. Thank you very much Dr Barrionuevo for your dedication and work, with Gods blessing we are the happiest parents, may God always bless you Doctor.
I recognize how professional Dr Barrionuevo is but his team in terms of communication with the patient is terrible, no one knows anything, we did not receive an explanation when performing the procedure even knowing that everything was going wrong, they did not care
All very good. The attention and communication with the call was fluid and pleasant. They explained everything to me in detail.
I have been with this clinic with Dr. Hoyos for 4 months so far we have no complaints and we are well advanced and I hope that soon we will have our baby in our arms at the end of the road we will inform you again
This place is definitely 5 stars, excellent service, I am very happy because from the cleanliness of the place to the treatment of people, it was special to thank everyone in general for the magnificent work they do, God bless 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
