I was a bit concerned when I arrived-if I had not been in an Uber I would not have gone in however my experience was not terrible.First the front desk staff was 5 star. I waited 1.5 hours and then had to leave before being seen due to unforeseen circumstances not related to my illness.Appointments-I made an “appointment” on-line. However, the front desk let me know immediately that this was not an appt time, but a place holder-illness are still treated in a triage manner (degree of severity) as well as arrival time. Thank you for setting appropriate expectations.Registration-I completed the registration online (on my phone) which made check-in fast. This might be different for individuals without the capacity to navigate completing these forms on the computer.Cleanliness- bathrooms were unacceptable and dropped rating from 5 to 4When I had to leave the staff was courteous and understanding.I had chosen to pass another urgent care and come to this one due to being able to have an “appointment” and therefore I have reduced the star rating from 4 to 3.5.
The staff here was amazing. They took care of me and made sure that I updated whenever needed. Carrie and Becca at the front desk were very helpful and knowledgeable when checking in and filling out paperwork. German and Hector were quick and efficient with my vitals and taking my X-rays. I also really enjoyed working with Emily she was kind and understanding and didn’t make me feel like she was in a rush, even though they were very busy. For an urgent care they were very fast and I will make sure to come back if I have any issues in the future.
Pre register is not an ‘appointment.’ The lobby was empty and I waited over an hour for a routine visit. There’s a broken mirror in the lobby, some old magazines, and a very dirty door that leads to patient rooms. While waiting, there were many conversations behind the check in desk covering a wide range of topics. None related to patient care or accelerating patient visits. There may be an imbalance between doctors and people who sit around getting paid for doing nothing at this place. Consider other options.
I had a great experience at AFC Urgent Care from the moment I walked in! Carrie was at the front desk. She was super helpful, fast, efficient and had a great energy about her. My wait time was minimal and then ended up in an exam room. Melanie was a great listener and thorough in my exam. I will definitely go back!
My experience at AFC Urgent Care in Sarasota was exceptional! Carrie was welcoming and prompt, making the check-in process a breeze. Once I was called into a room, Dustin displayed outstanding patient care and really made my visit enjoyable. He even gave my daughter a sticker! Becca was empathetic and explained in detail when I had questions or if I didn’t understand something. Naomi made great effort to engage in conversation with my daughter to keep her distracted while I was getting information about my care. The staff at AFC went above and beyond to make my visit as seamless as possible. The office was shipshape and had the feeling of home.
I would recommend AFC Sarasota Urgent Care! I was greeted by an extremely helpful woman Carrie behind the front desk, who kindly and swiftly assisted me with all my questions and got me in to see the provider in a timely manner. I was pleased with the outcome my visit, the staff, the cleanliness of the office, and the amount of time I was in and out the door.
What a great place. I was in and out in a reasonable amount of time. The staff was professional, efficient, and friendly. Especially Dustin. He made an unpleasant situation not so unpleasant with his caring demeanor and calming presence. I will definitely recommend AFC to my friends and family. This is a much better alternative to the emergency room.
This was my 1st Visit to American Family Care. Couldnt be more IMPRESSED with EVERYONE. Carrie, Naomi, Sam, Emily, and I know Im forgetting someone, but, a really welcoming environment. I have a primary care doctor, but, wont hesitate to use AFC Sarasota in the future. Highly Recommend. 😊
A resident of California visiting Florida for a month or so, to find a second residence, and just returning from two weeks in Portugal and Spain, I had fallen ill while in Europe and when there had a consult with a doctor in Madrid. She prescribed a three-day pack antibiotics and cough meds. On my return to Florida, and not feeling well still, I decided to research walk-in urgent type care here in Sarasota! Finally, after calls into my insurance company, and Medicare look up, AFC was on top of my list to try!! I was very pleased! My total wait less than hour, I filled out brief registry forms and front desk Dustin was a sweetheart, very officiant. Then Hector, to escort me to a room to take vitals and ask questions was very professional. I waited less than a minute and NP, Melanie Wilhelm walked in. A super personality with great listening skills she listened to my lungs and said lets get x-rays to make sure nothing too serious here. Although my x-rays didnt show pneumonia, however, because of my breathing, she provided medication and also after care directions. She was one of the most amazing, caring and friendly healthcare providers I have experienced. I highly recommend this team of walk-in/urgent care.
It has been a Five Star experience for each of my several visits to AFC Urgent Care in Sarasota.My inital experience was with Eric providing detailed information about the AFC Direct Care Membership, and Carrie made the initial paperwork simple for a fast sign-up.I had both Hector and Naomi take my vitals and be my phlebotomists for two separate visits. The blood samples were quick and essentially painless.Melanie and Emily properly diagnosed and provided professional medical services that resolved my medical issues on each of my visits.I trust the medical services provided at this facility, and Erin added an additional family member for services promptly after receiving my request.The people here are easy to talk to, and the interactions are pleasantly fun.Its a fresh breath of air compared to alot of other Urgent care providers.This is a wonderful team of medical professionals in Sarasota, and Im sure they will continue to provide the best medical care they can for our community.
Ended up at this Urgent Care when I couldn’t get in with my primary. Overall good experience. Carrie at the front desk was very friendly and helpful getting me checked in quickly. Service was prompt & staff was attentive throughout my experience. Would recommend.
I would give 0 stars if I could. I went here back in March for a UTI (or what seems to be) and I paid to get a urine culture to see what was going on. They said theyd call me in 3-5 days about my results. Well, its April and I still have yet to know my results. I called like 3 times back in March and the first time I called, they said they hadnt reviewed it since it was busy. Understandable. They said they would review it by the end of the day and get back to me. I called yet again the same day (a reasonable amount of time before they close) and they told me pretty much the same thing. The next day I call, they tell me they didnt even have the results in? So which one is it? They couldnt make up their mind. Anyway, I stopped calling because it seemed like I was bothering them even though I paid for their service. Best part is, Im still having UTI symptoms.Wish I had went to the ER instead. If youre thinking of coming here, dont waste your time and money. They only care about $$$.
If I could give this place 0 stars I would. The prescriber wrote me a prescription and put it on the wrong paper, so she cancelled the medication and put me on a medication that I specifically told her didn’t work for me. Now they say I have to come in and pay another $200 to be seen again. Disgusting practice. I would never EVER recommend this place to anyone. They are useless and cheaters. I wish I remembered the female PA that I saw, but I don’t. She was so nice and then screwed me over. I paid $200 for absolutely NOTHING.
Outstanding service. The medical assistant, Kristina, was particularly kind and supportive and made me feel very well-cared for. The waiting room was extremely full and both Kristina and Dr. Mara gave their complete attention to me and took the time to answer my questions and address my concerns. What a wonderful clinic! I was in pain with a very infected finger. First day of vacation! I am so thankful this urgent care was so close to where I was staying! Caring, compassionate staff. I was very nervous and in pain. Their knowledge and comfort got me through! I went back 2 days later as recommended for a checkup. I am very thankful to report it is completely healed! Naomi checked me in and even located a pharmacy that was open late so I could start my antibiotics that night. Tiffany was very compassionate and helped me through the procedure. Hector and German also were great! Thank you. You all made the start to my trip better as I could be on my way to healing. I highly recommend this clinic! Also, the doctor who saw me the next day was great too. My apologies, I cannot remember her name.

I am so happy I decided to go to AFC Urgent Care Sarasota! Office staff were all very nice. My doctor Melanie Wilhelm made such a lasting impression on me. I was very nervous and the doctor was so empathetic and so nice. It was a breath of fresh air. She was very knowledgeable and gave me the medicine that I needed. She took the time to listen to me and my questions and answered each of them. Melanie gave me a hug at the end! This left such a lasting impression on me. I am so pleased with the service I received at AFC. I was very impressed with the quality of customer care I received from Carrie at the front desk. She was nice, polite and very attentive with my concerns.
If I could give a 10-start review, I would. I had friendly and very personalized service from the front desk (she was by herself and super busy but maintained her cool trying to balance incoming patients, phone and co-workers) as well as the doctor and nurse. Everyone tried their best to make my visit as pleasant as it could be (for a UTI, ugh)! My husband actually paid a visit there 12 months prior for a broken toe and also received excellent service from a very kind staff. Would highly recommend this facility!
Dont bother going in if it is within 20 minutes till closing. They refuse to offer urgent care even though staff and doctors are still there. Made me wait 10 minutes then came out and told me they cant see me because they close in 10 minutes...They ignored me when I arrived and were rude to me when they decided to approach me.

I had been struggling to fight off a bronchitis infection for many weeks. Finally decided I needed to be seen since I was not getting better.At first I got the impression Dr. Stiles was just going to tell me to rest more, but after listening to my lungs he decided I might need antibiotics after all. Took my first dose that evening and by the following evening I was leaps and bounds better! So I think he probably got it right- was such a relief to feel better so fast after weeks of struggling. Thank you Dr. Stiles!
This Urgent Care is WONDERFUL! The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable, they were all so kind and empathetic as people continued to walk in their door sick or injured. The front desk girl Carrie was so sweet and quick to get us registered and into the back. Naomi and Lexi in triage were both efficient and friendly, as was the X-ray tech German and nurse Becca. The Doctor Melanie did an amazing job as well and even had me feeling better by the end of the day. Hands down better than going to your primary care when you need a quick fix for a cold or to get an X-ray.
Today I called to get a copy of my XRay.(Erin)the supervisor answered and was so polite with great customer service skills.She went over and above to check the old system without just saying we do not have it.I think people like her should be in places like this even in a busy environment with patients waiting inside.I was a patient on the phone and nothing changed her reaction for trying to help me.Thanks the ❤ goes a long way especially when u are treated with respect.Keep up the great work..Just kindness and being helpful means alot.
We were visiting my parents and needed to bring our son in due to ear pain. My parents highly recommended this Urgent Care and I can see why. Making the appointment and completing the paperwork online was so efficient. We did still have to wait but there were many others there too! I can’t remember the lady at the front desk or the lady who triaged us - they were both excellent, and I was also very pleased with the Doctor! Thank you for making an out of state family feel so cared for on vacation!
Do not go to this location. I am highly upset with the outcome of the first time of me visiting this location. I did all of the registration. I did all of the paperwork. I did all of the insurance and I paid my co-pay just for them to then say they can’t check out my child because she’s under one years old when I came to the front desk, that should have been reiterated to me that there is an age minimum to seek care you take $75 from me have me step to the back take her out of her car seat get her all prepped and ready do her pulse do her temperature to then say we don’t take people that are under one years old that should’ve been stated prior what if that was my last $75 and I’m doing everything that I need to do to ensure that my child is OK and healthy now I have to wait for you to refund me my money back and find a new location in order to seek care I understand that she should be going to a pediatrician but urgent care is what I set out because of a panic and trying to make sure she is OK so if you don’t know the policies of your own office that is not OK you can’t have a system that you’re running that only a few people know about so the front desk team doesn’t know they don’t take eight month year-old but Everyone in the back does so then the front desk team charges my card $75 for a urgent care visit that I can’t have because of my child’s age and then as I’m leaving they say oh OK we’re going to refund you your money that now takes 7 to 10 business days to show back up on my card But I never received service from you guys. What an inconvenience do not go to this location.

This is the only urgent care i will go to! amazing NP’s & MD’s, but my most recent visit Kristina really stood out for me. we had great conversation—she’s so personable & compassionate. while also being in healthcare, that’s something that really makes a huge difference for me when i choose where to be seen. i’d recommend going here just for how lovely & knowledgeable Kristina was!!
Melanie absolutely took care of me with the utmost professionalism and tender care for my smashed/broken thumb. I sure wish I could have had her same care as with her associates than I did at the surgery center and with Kennedy orthopedic. If I were giving them a review it would be no stars. I was a walk in today, and what an amazing team that was there! From the front desk office help, to the nurse, the X-ray technician and to the doctor! The staff was friendly and time efficient. The doctor Melanie was very personable and made my visit less nerve wracking. Waited about 20 minutes total but that’s nothing compared to other urgent cares! I was able to fill out my information online before my visit including insurance which made the whole process a lot easier!!

AFC is the best, that’s why they’re always so busy! The front receptionist is so so so sweet and I actually overheard her saying she’s new. She literally was amazing and so kind to everyone and I never would have thought she was new. The doctor I saw was very kind and her medical assistants/nurses were all so nice. The day I came here, I had actually gone to another walk in clinic first (I won’t name drop them 😅) and they were so rude to me for no reason, so I left there and drove straight to AFC. Im so glad I left the first place, I literally did not mind the wait at AFC, because I knew they were going to take great care of me. Thank you for being so kind when I was so sick. You guys are awesome!
I was able to see Emily the doctor, in a timely fashion. She made me feel very comfortable and answered all of my questions. German, who took my X-rays, Cristina and Camila were also very helpful and respectful. I would definitely go back when needed and would recommend them to anyone!
My wife was trying to get her blood drawn for a doctors visit. But her doctor wasnt in the system. The front desk person said they would get the doctor in the system and we could come back the next week and still have the labs ready for the doctor. They were very helpful. Wife says we will be going there from now on.
Completely useless 3 hours at this place. Lots of admin and nurse’s assistants having fun and joking around while patients piled up. One competent certified nurse who ultimately was not able to get an IV line in and said just to go home. Go somewhere else

Came in without insurance, saw a physician who seemed annoyed at the fact she was even seeing me.. described what I was having and congestion, ears hurt, lymph nodes were super swollen sore throat, she would only prescribe me prednisone for the lymph nodes which did absolutely nothing. I called and asked if a follow up visit was included they said yes drove 40 mins to go there again where I was told follow up was not included and had to pay the $150 again. I have been sick now for a month. *also note that I was told $30 to test for strep then they charged me $50. So make sure you double check. Will not be going back. I highly don’t recommend. Update: went to a different urgent care and was told I have had sinusitis and should have gotten an antibiotic from here but they didn’t…
I took my aunt to urgent care while she was here visiting me from NY. We got in very quick, insurance accepted, we were met with smiling faces, wait time was very short. The nurses were great and NP we seen was attentive, compassionate, down to earth and very thorough. I would highly recommend this place.

If you have any other options go anywhere else but this facility. The staff was uncommunicative and dismissive. I brought my son in for a school sports physical and there was nobody in the waiting room when we arrived. I filled out a packet of paperwork which took 20 minutes and by then four or five other people had come in. We waited with no communication for another 20 minutes while others were seen, at which point I asked about how long they thought it might be. I was told maybe only 30 minutes. We had to leave so I said we would come back next day. Next day I called early in the day to let them know we would be there, when we arrived there were others waiting but we were brought back after about 20 minutes. My son was weighed and checked for his vision and then we were left to sit in another room for almost 30 minutes. When I asked about how much longer it might be the nurse who had been sitting at the desk the whole time said she would be right in. She did not come right in however, when she finally did, the exam was less than five minutes and we were sent on our way. I have no idea who was busy with what all the rest of the time, but every time I had the staff was basically looking aimless and bored.I understand that at an urgent care facility there might be urgent issues… However that did not seem to be the case and there was no communication at any point. Knowing you could have a standard school physical exam done in five minutes and your customers out the door in 15 minutes but dragging it out for an hour and a half over two days is ridiculous.
Dr, Leslie, Lexi, and Gigi are an incredible staff! I came here after being disappointed by another doctors office and will come back with any new issues that arise! They take quality care of the patients, they’re extremely knowledgeable, personable, friendly, and timely. Will recommend! 5 stars!

Carrie, Erin, Tyler, Becca, Melanie and Naomi were attentive, quick and efficient handling my situation dealing with a shattered left foot. They were able to schedule me a same day appointment with Dr. Moor, Orthopedic Surgeon, and send in my prescriptions while I was at AFC. I’ve been to many medical care facilities and this particular one sets the bar high with the left hand knowing what the right hand is doing!! I wish they all worked this way!!-Todd Franz
Its been a long time since I been to the Urgent Care and wasnt feeling good that day. When I got there I was greeted with front desk staff member. She made feel right at home and that took off the stress of why I was there. The staff that waited on me took my vitals and made me feel comfortable and was very nice. The woman doctor was very nice and helpful to get me feeling better by the time I was finished. The Staff are very skillful in what they do and they make sure you are taken care so you feel better than when you came in. Urgent Care Sarasota are very professional and caring. I want to thank all the staff I appreciate all you did when I was there to be helped
No matter how bad I feel just going to American Family Care makes me feel better. All the employees that work there are polite, friendly and professional at their jobs. I highly recommend them and Im sure you will feel the same.
This was insane, i’ve never waited this long at an urgent care with a very sick toddler.i’m not from this area we’re on vacation.Pre registration isn’t an appointment, at this point it’s the same as a walk in cause you’re waiting no less than an hour to be seen. it’s 10am on a tuesday.I’m not the only one with preregistration waiting for more than an hour either.
Was by far the quickest and hassle free care facility Ive been to in Sarasota in a long time. Came in for a routine check up with blood drawn and was in and out quick. Everyone was very nice and professional. Try to go early because it got busy quick . I went online and did some pre checked info to make it quicker.
Walk in - no appointments!!! They book your appointments, but they don’t follow the times they give you. It’s a walk in clinic like any other and you are helped in the order you arrive, what is fine, but you get there expecting to be helped at your appointment time and after 2 hours you are still waiting
My visits are always pleasant. The staff is very friendly and attentive. They are patient and as punctual as possible. They always give you a call and make sure you receive any results and that you’re doing better, after the appointments. I highly recommend.
I needed to get a routine exam and was having some issues from an eye infection. It was easy to get in and seen. Everyone was very professional and efficient. I also felt the cost was extremely reasonable. I would definitely return or refer someone else to your clinic.
My experience at the facility was great. I was seen in short period of time and provided with what I needed. However the service afterwards was not so good. They did collected a sample from my wound for a culture to test for MRSA/staph. One week later I had not heard back and called them. They said they did not see any results yet and would call me as soon as the results came back. It has now been almost 3 weeks and I have never heard the results of my wound culture!
Both me and my husband were diagnosed with pneumonia. Everyone was professional and caring. The staff really showed concern for our well being. There were follow up calls after each of our visits, and when deemed needed a change in medications.I highly recommend AFC urgent care. I would especially recommend Emily. She showed real concern for our condition.

My visits at AFC Urgent Care have always been nothing short of excellent. The staff is friendly and helpful, Dr. Emily listens and is extremely capable and Eric is kind and great at what he does. From check-in to check-out, I always feel confident that I am getting top-notch care and that I’m free to check back should I have questions or continuing concerns.
So I specifically picked this place to go to because they said they did routine blood work and blood panels. Ive had the flu for about a month and was wanting to get some routine blood work to make sure theres nothing more serious.going on. Online it says they do this in house and get the results right then. Well thats apparently not true. They only offer covid testing and drug testing, it has to be before 12pm and it takes 3 to 4 days. Thanks for wasting severals of my time. Please update your website.
Extremely helpful.I went here with my wife for a USCIS physical and it was quick, organized and professional. The reason why I decided to take the time and write a review came after the original appointment, when my wifes physical report got lost in the mail (after we had received it from AFC) and mad us scramble to get another sealed envelope. After calling AFC and speaking with Jennafye, she and the doctor were able to reproduce the sealed envelope AND send it to us as we were not in Florida anymore. Extreme customer service and very pleasant to organize with. Thanks again!
I have taken my 7 year old daughter here twice. We have always gotten wonderful treatment from the receptionist to the nurses and doctors. We especially love Dr. Jennifer (I believe that is her name!) she is so kind and good with kids. I was hesitant at first since it was the only urgent clinic that accepted my child’s health insurance, but was very satisfied upon leaving both times. Thank you 😊
I finally found a walk-in clinic that I will return to again when I need a doctor. Everyone was nice and helpful and caring. I was told the wait would be 60-90 minutes, but I got in, filled out minimal paperwork, got triaged, saw the nurse practitioner, received a valid diagnosis with treatment plan, and sent on my way within 1 hour and 10 minutes total (even with a full waiting room of people). By the time I got to my pharmacy, my prescription was waiting for me. When one of my symptoms wasnt addressed, Melanie came back in to address it with a viable explanation without me bringing it up again. I did not feel rushed at all and felt like each person involved in my care listened to what I was experiencing. I am looking forward to being on my way to feeling better. Oh, and the costs werent outrageous as Ive experienced elsewhere. Thats a plus! I highly recommend AFC Urgent Care Sarasota and will be back.Side note: I dont review very many places, so for me to take the time to write a review is a big deal. I definitely think this place is worth bragging about.
The whole staff that was there when I went to AFC was absolutely amazing. They all cared and helped me as quick as possible. The offices were clean which was nice. At the end the doctor (who was super nice) wished me well and the nurse who took my vitals walked me and my mom out. Definitely recommend this place!
Out of state visitors with a very sick kid. Very long wait time to get in but we were able to leave during that time and get called when he could be seen. The care from the doctor and staff was incredible and my son was in such good hands. They even called the next day to check in on us. Highly recommend this urgent care. Would be even better if you could get in line from your phone but allowing us to leave and come back helped with that. Thanks!

My experience at your facility was enjoyable in light of my reason for being there. The calm relaxed personality of the nurse that took my blood pressure was welcoming and foreshadowed my moments with the doctor. I have gone to AFC several times in the past few years. I find the staff attentive and the doctors really good and assuring. I would say the attention to my problem was excellent. AFC is certainly due for an upgrade to a nicer environment but the quality of care is uncompromised.
This visit I had the fortunate experience of meeting Nurse practitioner Emily, German, Rebecca, and Erin. What an amazing team! Nurse Emily is so very capable of handling an acute situation. She is knowledgeable, and very capable of diagnosing the situation. German, Erin, and Rebecca, are a very kind,, compassionate team, always smiling and pleasant. I will continue to use their medical services. They are the best!
We walked in sick with no appointment. I was very happy that they did not require a covid test to get treatment. (Unlike my primary care clinic). It took only about an hour to be seen and they sent the perscription to the pharmacy. My son could not keep the medicaton down so I had to call and get it changed to a pill the next day. They were able to revise the perscription by the end of the work day even though they were short handed.
This was my first visit, and I was very impressed. Jamie greeted me warmly and was quick and efficient. I was on a tight schedule, and the staff made sure my needs were met. I was treated with respect by very friendly people and never felt rushed. They put me at ease right from the start. I would highly recommend this urgent care.
I used this walk in clinic on November 27, one of the procedures I had done on that day making Ex Ray, I called the office yesterday asking about how I can got copy of my ex Ray the lady in the front desk told me you can stop by and we can print it out to you and also take a picture with your phone, I called again today, the lady in the front desk she said the same thing and she add also I will be able to get copy of CD with the picture,When I arrived there surprise non of the above they can provide as the Tech of ex Ray lady said except I can take picture with my phone to the ex Ray done from the computer.When I asked why you told me by phone I can have CD and paper print with the images, the 2 ladys at the front desk said we apologize, we didnt know we cant give it to you, we cant provide what we said yesterday and today.How this front desk ladys they are not professional, giving patients wrong information and it cames across in a rude way while they are talking, its ok they didnt know,I had to drive 2 hours, its wasting of time and unconvinced to go through that.Dr. Office should be fully qualified and professional to help patients.Professional place like this it should having a professional pepole to be in the front desk because they are representing this company/ office,The experience I had with this office its remarkableAction is required towards this.With this kind of experience I had, I will not be recommend this place
My experience here on April 12, 2023 could not have been better. All the staff that I came in contact with were kind, friendly, and professional. They were Emily, Camilla, Will, and Christina. I received good advice and a very helpful immune supplement handout. I was very relieved after my visit and I would definitely recommend AFC.
What a good experience! Elderly snow birds we had a medical situation . Had hear about AFC Urgent Care. We found the origination to be very professional. Everyone seemed to know their job. They addressed my wife’s medical needs and had us in & out in a very short period of time.Would highly recommend based upon our experience today!
My daughter had a secondary infection from having Covid weeks prior and AFC helped us tremendously. We had a great experience. The staff members were kind and helpful. The wait time was short and the doctor was thorough. I left there feeling like they really listened to her symptoms and treated accordingly. We felt well taken care of. My family honestly prefers going to AFC visiting anywhere else when we are not feeling well because we know we will receive excellent care and attention. Thank you AFC for giving our family a great experience when we aren’t feeling well.
Thank you AFC for taking care of my son when he fell and hit his head. Your caring ways helped us through this hard time. You made us feel comfortable and the wait time was not long. You were able to get us in and out without delay. This is where we go whenever we need the attention. Staff are friendly and the clinic is clean. 5 stars all the way. I especially would like to thank the kind and awesome staff who were really great this past weekend when I needed them. Emily, Erin, Jennefage and Dr Mara and all the other great staff that helped check me in.
Arrived for pre flight Covid test. Prices advertised as in the picture. Insurance document requested. Required to pay the price advertised PLUS they then clip the insurance for another $100 plus for the office cost. This makes the preflight test twice as expensive as available from Walgreens CVS etc. Certificate looks like i could have printed at home. Had to request a drs signature and number in order to have it look genuine! Disingenuous and shady at best - avoid.
Well today is Sunday morning and at 8 AM I went to AFC urgent care in Sarasota, Erin The office manager was more than fabulous and was a pleasure to meet and Will and Grace were awesome as well. The doctor on duty was fabulous fix me right up. I was in and out in 30 minutes with no wait. They have an insurance plan now, for $79 a month for unlimited visits, bloodwork and all sorts other stuff great deal better than health insurance that’s for sure. It almost pays to get sick just to go over there and visit what a fabulous staff. I’ve been going there for years and it keeps on getting better and better keep up the great work
Every time I come to this location either for myself or for my daughter, the service is always so great and fast and I have never had to wait too long - i went to another urgent care center when my daughter was sick and they didn’t say much about it. A day or so later I brought her here and she had bilateral pneumonia and bronchitis (at 2 years old!) the staff did such a good job making my daughter feel safe during her chest X-ray and that is why I always come back here! And I always recommend it to people if they need an urgent care! Staff is so nice, I wish I remembered the nurses name!
Wait time is a little longer than expected but they are all very nice and courteous. The Doctor listened to me and was very thorough. The nurses and the rest of the staff were very nice and respectful. I had a very good experience
My visit was very professionally handled. Once I completed the paperwork it was a matter of about 10 to 15 minutes before I was seen by the nurse and another 5 minutes after completing with her see the doctor.The doctor completed his examination gave me a diagnosis of bronchitis and prescribe some medication. This was all done and a little over an hour. Thank you for being there I appreciate everything you did.
DO NOT GO HERE !!! …..first off (STEVE STILES & GERMAN DIAZ ) should NOT be working in the human service field !….Horrible bed side manner. I had a. *[Physicians assistant]* (Steve stiles) come in and basically TRY to diagnose me. Instead of listening to my concerns about my well being he continuously cut me off and rambled on about how he feels personally. Red FLAG…. Ive had the same symptoms of illness for over a week and he legit said “ i would recommend Tylenol” after i already stated to him that I’ve been taking over the counter cold Medications/pain medicine it’s not working and i can’t sleep at night. His LEGIT response was ..”well i can sleep at night knowing that i prescribed what i think a patient needs over there wants” …mind you i asked about “ANTIBIOTICS & inflammatory medicine” …but my questions and concerns were completely disregarded. Long story short i will never go there again and i HIGHLY recommend nobody els goes. I paid a $70 copay just for a PA not a (DOCTOR) to tell me to continue taking Tylenol after i already said it’s not working and my symptoms are getting worse! HORRIBLE STAFF !
AFC Urgent Care is awesome. Couple weeks ago my daughter dislocated her elbow (ouch 😬), we went to AFC Clinic and we were super lucky to have Dr. Mara that day there. We very pleased with the whole process from we arrived at the reception desk registered my daughter as patient until we leave the urgent care. Dr. Mara and his staffs helped us every steps in the process, gave us full explanation about the options for my daughter? got my daughter elbow popped back in place. AFC office also called in couple days later to follow up and gave us another update from the review of X-Ray.I strongly recommend AFC Urgent Care. Big thanks to Dr. Mara and all staffs at AFC Urgent Care.

I love this urgent care! They are so kind and understanding of the fact that you are there not at your best. Ive taken my son there multiple times this last trip was on his birthday and Rebecca was so sweet in putting a little goodie box together for him to make it a happy trip instead of a scary trip! Rebecca and all the staff are top notch and my go to clinic!
Do not come here!They sent out for a scan.I called to follow up- they said it was the CT company responsible for letting us know what’s wrong. Come to fined out they had the scan for days and they where the ones responsible to diagnose! Not the place that does not have a “ Dr!
Been here OVER 2 HOURS WITH AN APPOINTMENT with a sick toddler.… still haven’t been seen!! Front desk staff is rude and doesn’t know how to register patients so they let 3 different people WITHOUT appointments go ahead of us until we stood up and said something! The compassionate care we received was “dont worry you are next” followed by the next patient being taken back and it “not being us” Lol. When I got upset, front desk tried to gaslight me into believing I was the problem and it wasn’t them. Finally I got taken back only to sit in a differ patient waiting room for now over an hour with a sick kid who NEEDS CARE!! I should’ve gone to the emergency room it would have probably been faster with Nicer people working. No way they actually have a 4-5 star rating these got to be fake
I went in initially for stitches and they were very attentive but asked me to schedule a follow up the next day. When I went in for the follow up, the receptionist was exceptionally rude and deserving of negative stars, then told me to pay for the bandage change before being treated. I have been an executive administrator in healthcare for 20 years and if any of my employees had demonstrated similar customer service the entire staff would have been walked out the back door.
Mom went there desperately ill on Christmas Eve, drove all the way feeling awful. Arrived at 12:30, 1 1/2 hours before clinic was supposed to close for the holiday and they were already closed. No warning. The staff was still inside, lounging around, mocking us. The psychopaths. Evil. Merry Christmas, you filth.
I was sick while on a week vacation in Siesta Key. I was able to walk in and be seen in the same morning. I was prescribed medications that immediately improved my condition. Two days later I received a follow up call asking how I was, if I was able to secure my medications and if I needed anything else. The service and follow up was excellent service that I much appreciated and needed while I was in Florida for a short time. Thank you AFC Urgent Care!!
I was a walk-in for the clinic with a bad rash. The check-in procedure was really easy — I could have done it at home and next time I will!NOTE: if you check in online, your wait time will me lower!As it was, the check in procedure let me know exactly when I would be called back (within one minute!). As it was, the wait wasn’t long at all. I was treated well and with good attitudes and pleasant employees.It went really smoothly.

The nurse practitioner and PA were amazing. All the staff was polite and professional. It really sucked having covid during our vacation but the care we received as a family made us feel that we had a choice in our treatment plan. We were literally feeling great in 2 days! Thanks AFC staff!
I always have a positive experience at AFC. The staff is always friendly. And the doctors listens, are knowledgeable and give you the care you need quickly. Dr Melanie is wonderful, she always make you feel cared for. I had to come here 2 days in a row this month and they all took excellent care of me.
The team was very efficient and knowledgeable. It was a scary situation and they handled it professionally and everyone was friendly and made us feel comfortable. My daughter had an asthma attack and we were glad they were able to help us. Great team!!
Jamie at the front desk is truly the epitome of wonderful. She genuinely wanted to help me and make sure everything I needed was taken care of. Unlike most urgent care facilities, I was treated with respect from the staff and my needs were met. I am so happy that I used AFC and will 100% use it again if I have the need to. AFC, especially Jamie, is a wonderful rarity.
A+ staff. Thank you for making my visit seamless. They were understanding and patient and quick. Unfortunately, I wasn’t feeling so great to pick up on names, but every team member on my 8/23/23 visit was superb.
I posted in the past about this location and it was a very positive review as my visit there was very good. That visit was within a couple of weeks of purchasing the membership. Everything and I mean EVERTYING has gone completely wrong with this office . I put blame square in the management of this place as their hiring choices are pure garbage ...Just about all of the people who used to work there are gone and have been replaced by a bottom of the barrel staff. Complete lack of training , basic interpersonal skills and seeming aversion to work. The front desk during the week is handed by teenagers with a chip on their shoulder and a very loose understanding of their job. That is topped by the poorly aged blond with who is there on weekends and clearly gives you an impression she does not want to be there and and since she is she takes liberty of calling paying patients ignorant. When one confronts such an outfit it is hard to decide where to begin. From prescribing wrong amount of the medication, to the nurse practitioner with an aloof attitude refusing to perform the simplest of the tasks by saying she is not comfortable on numerous occasions when tasks were simple in nature and only laziness or complete lack of training could explain it.This part is for you gents and ladies of that office. I will post and continue posting on any and every review site i can find . Perhaps then it will get the attention of the management so all of you can find jobs that you are better suited for. Clearly not all of you are implicated in this review and many other bad reviews on this forum.
I found the staff to be very caring and efficient. Every person at the front desk, as well as those who did the intake procedures, could not have been more professional and friendly. I received excellent care and advice. Im very grateful.
Theres no NEED to ask for a CREDIT/DEBIT CARD when the patient has a form of MEDICAID that does NOT require a CO-PAY!!!!!
Came in with recommendation from my PCP for a chest x-ray, the great medical staff got me right in, zapped me like pros, and with a combination of imaging review and chest examination diagnosed my pneumonia. They set me up with a strong antibiotic, steroids for my breathing and prescription cough syrup that had me finally sleeping through the night and on the mend to where I was feeling significantly better in two days, seemingly cured in three. Cant say enough good things about the medical and office staff. Thank you AFC!
Rebecca was extremely nasty and unhelpful. I called ahead of time and explained the situation before I got there that we just moved here and I have not received the card for his new insurance plan and asked if she accepted it. She said yes so I rushed to go in. When I got there she said if I didn’t have the card my son couldn’t be seen, I explained I called before I got here . Managed to pull it up on the website for her and she still refused to see him even after going through the hassle of creating the portal to show her that he was active. Said he can only be seen if he is self pay. There was a blasting tv with Sesame Street playing (at first I thought it was my kids tablet and asked them to lower it) , she actually said on her own “oh it’s our tv and it needs to stay on that volume “it was extremely overwhelming the whole experience and even more so because I could tell she didn’t want to take care of us due to it being 45 min before closing time. I’m sorry but in all fairness to patient quality assurance someone who treats people in the manner we were treated tonight should not be treating patients , she should not be the face of the practice “welcoming patients”. And I’m sure the tv didn’t need to be on high volume blast or even on that close to closing time if it was causing more stress in an already stressful situation. I hope the owners see this and have a firm conversation with her. It would’ve been super convenient to be able to be seen there in the future and extremely local, but I’d rather drive out of my way to go to a diff office with better customer service.

I accompanied a 92 year old friend with a possible wrist injury. It was patients first visit although I have been treated there before. Ruth was treated with respect throughout the hour + with physician Dr Mara and techs Gigi and Christina.I was especially impressed with receptionist Angie. Although the patient has some memory issues Angie made sure to address her and not me. Check in and check out was quick, professional and friendly. Angie is an asset to this location and your company. Thanks again.

We were out of town and needed urgent care for my young daughter. I was nervous to go somewhere we werent familiar with since we were so far from home, but AFC was great! All of the staff was so wonderful with my daughter (receptionist, nurses, doctor) and made us feel very comfortable. They were attentive to her and our concerns, and were thorough and professional!
I never had a bad experience...i can not name one excellent staff member because theyre all incredibly kind. The physicians are the best as well especially Dr. Eric B... Thank you so very much........i hope i dont have to go to AFC anytime soon but if so i will.always go there you are all truly the best....i have to add emily and rebecca....not that i enjoy going but when i have to use urgent care i know i am treated with complete respect...compassion and awesome care. Waiting time was shorter than given time and excellent treatment and follow-up. I am new to the area and do not have a family doctor yet. The doctor ensured I had a follow-up plan with her and AFC in case I did not feel better. I even received a phone call checking on me.

I was the first person in line been waiting here an hour and a half they let three people go ahead of me and they still said I had to wait another hour or so. And I’m a veteran if you’re a veteran don’t come here they do not respect your time. It seems like since they can charge the VA they make you wait longer and let the people who are paying cash or have insurance go before you
Pros: wonderful staff, easy to get to, service was quickCons: the place needs a face liftThe staff was wonderful. Everyone was very nice, upbeat and helpful. Service was quick.I removed one star because the place needs a little TLC. Driving up I felt nervous because the place seemed sketchy. The lobby looked a little better, good lighting and some updates. The bathroom felt like a gas station bathroom. I was shocked. I was only there for a drug screen for a new job so I didn’t see any other areas. I would not come back to this location for any medical needs that would require any tools. I’m sure everything is sanitized and up to par, but it’s true that looks matter and with the place not looking it’s best I’m leery of things unseen as well.
My recent visit was one of the best visits I have had in years to a doctors office. Melanie Wilhelm went above and beyond for me. I was there to see her twice, once to find out I have bronchitis and another to do a follow-up. Already felt better after two days of my treatment and she helped me with another issue Ive been trying to resolve for years. Thank you Melanie for taking the time to listen to me and for getting me better. Definitely would recommend this place to family and friends.
Went immediately to AFC Urgent Care after receiving a dog bite. I felt they were very attentive,thorough, and informative. When I returned for the follow-up, the wound was healing. I recommend this group for your urgent care needs.
I went toAFC with a very traumatic finger injury. My experience from walking in the front door, to leaving was very impressive. The ladies on staff there are extremely pleasant, and you can see they genuinely care about their patients, (keep in mind this was a Sunday as well). Emily Walters stood out to me the most as she was very compassionate, and helped make an extremely unpleasant procedure be the best it could. Emily is an extremely talented individual, and it is because of this she saved my finger. There is a definite positive culture at AFC, and Im confident all the ladies there have bright futures ahead!
Everyone is doing the best they can. Which is truly appreciated. Front desk staff needs to put a smile on their faces more often than not. Appear like you’re happy to be at work and happy to help everyone and anybody who walks in for help. Sometimes it feels like we’re inconveniencing you and that shouldn’t be. The wait time leaves much to be desired. It’s urgent care, so this is expected. Place is pretty clean. There’s two tier building with patient rooms upstairs. Parking is a bit too snuggled and very limited if parking in AFC. I believe there’s parking across the small street. Best times to be seen is mid days in my opinion. Overall, I’d recommend.

What a great walk-in clinic! They were so busy but very efficient and got everyone seen by a doctor very quickly. My doctor was knowledgeable and helpful. He knew exactly what was wrong. The nurse and office staff were also great and made me feel comfortable. I would definitely recommend that they do a bit of painting and cleaning because the examination room had an area of large paint scratches. The best part of this clinic is that they are so transparent with their pricing! They have a list for self pay posted right in the waiting room. This is definitely going to be my new choice of clinic.
The staff was very positive. They werent like other places where they just throw cuffs on you slap a thermometer in your mouth and tell you to go sit and wait for the doc. They actually care doctor listened very well and she was very pleasant. I cant choose just one the whole staff was excellent.
From the staff at the front desk to the assisting staff and attending doctor were awesome. Very pleasant experience overall. Would recommend anyone needing urgent to go to AFC Urgent Care.
My visit was just what I needed. My front desk experience was positive. My provider listened and was able to do appropriate test and administer and prescribe medications in acceptable time frame and listened and responded to my concerns.
I have pretty bad health anxiety and sometimes find myself in places like this just because I talk myself into believing I need to go. The provider here was amazing as she was very sensitive to this. She sat and spoke with me and got my anxiety under control and when we did an EKG she had them do it 4 times because she wanted to make sure there were no artifacts on it that would get my anxiety up unnecessarily. Truly I am thankful for the visit today.
This urgent care is incredible!!! They got me in super fast, were able to get all the testing and labs I needed done with upfront transparent pricing (pricing is literally on the door in the office — loved this!!), and with great customer care & customer service. Never did they have an attitude or treat me poorly or like I was just a number like others I’ve been to in the past; I felt safe and comfortable the whole time. Highly recommend AFC Urgent Care!! ❤️
I went here because I found out they took my insurance from Ohio. Emily, the PA, quickly and accurately diagnosed my sinusitis and pink eye and called in the prescriptions. Im back in Ohio and feeling/looking much better. They also just called to see how I was doing!! Only thing that could have been better is that I should have called ahead for an appointment. I just showed up so my wait was a bit longer (about an hour). Thank you, AFC!
I have a chronic health condition, and it was really bad so I went here and Tiffany, Erin and Lexy were very nice and understanding, sometimes the doctors will blow you off, but not here they listened and did some testing. Very good service and kind people.
I arrived 30 minutes after opening and didn’t have too long of a wait. The staff were friendly and the price for a work physical was the standard $100 fee. I’ve been to this clinic in the past for illness treatment and had similar experiences. All around a good clinic.

I am a veteran and patient with my local Va I’ve had terrible back issues and I can’t always drive all the way up to Bay Pines Va This urgent care is the best! Very kind and Compassionate! Nurse practitioner Ms Wilhelm and nurse practitioner Emily have been super professional!! I cannot recommend a better place to go for your health care needs when it is urgent!!
I took my son here and saw Dr. Buete. She is fantastic! She listened to me, thoroughly assessed my son and provided me reassurance that I needed. It is stressful having a sick kid while on vacation but I am thankful to have found this place. The office also called several times to check on my son as well. Overall wonderful experience. I will recommend this little gem to all of my friends from here. Thank you again Dr. Buete and staff for being so awesome.

I’ve had to come here a few times for injury and follow-ups. The entire team is friendly, kind, thorough, and are doing an amazing job, especially with short staffing. I usually dread any kind of doctors appointments, but I honestly feel like I’m seeing old friends whenever I come in. Danny, Deborah, Melanie, Sue, and the whole staff are the best and I’m so grateful to them! ♥️
The staff were kind and understanding and ordered the tests I needed to get a diagnosis. I was impressed that the wait times for diagnostic testing were so short. Quite different than in Canada. I appreciated that everyone wore masks in the waiting room. The specialist I was referred to was also very good. Thank you for helping me during my time in Sarasota.
Super friendly and efficient staff and processing!Easy online paperwork allowed me to complete the process in my car, instead of the waiting room, which was small and all seats were taken. I was given a time for my appointment and they called to check up on me to make sure I was still there and to answer any questions.I had completed a positive home test for Covid, so the doctor said they didnt need to retest since I had just tested positive. This saved me $50 out of pocket for the rapid test and my insurance covered the office visit. He listened to my lungs, then wrote a prescription and informed me where the nearest 24 hour Walgreens was located so I could fill it right away and not wait til morning It was 8pm at this point of the process and I was their last patient.Thanks for making this a great experience, Angela, Rebecca and Dr Mara!

Dr Eric Buete is an amazing doctor! Great staff, professional and compassionate. He actually listens, unlike our pediatrician who ignored me when i explain my concerns regarding my daughter (thats why i ended up at the urgent care, due to ignorance and misdiagnosis from our pediatrician, which couldve been avoided ). Thanks to Dr. Eric my daughter felt better the same day. If something comes up again, I know where to go!My second experience with them was also amazing! I needed a physical and TB blood test (quantiferon) for a new job. Everything was fast and amazing just like the first time. Danny did my blood draw and it was the best experience of my life. I am a very hard stick so there is always an issue when I need blood work. Usually it takes hours and several people. Danny got me from the first try and within minutes and zero pain I was done! Doctor was amazing! Those doctors need to start a family practice, I would chose them as my PCP without even thinking. Staff is always professional, kind, skilled and they ALWAYS listen to your concerns.Had to take my daughter to the clinic several times in the past few weeks. As always ,great experience! Cant thank them enough!
This was my first visit to American family care. I was very impressed with the treatment I got from Madeline Willhelm and nurse Camilla. Within 40 minutes they tested me checked out my problems and sent me away feeling much better. I would highly recommend this urgent care facility for anyone that is in need.They listened intently as I told them my symptoms andthey acted As if they were my personal physicians.
Excellent service , and I didn’t half to wait very long . All my needs and concerns were addressed. However I had to give 4 out of 5 stars because while I was waiting the Ma that was upfront was very loud and laughing loudly. I noticed around me some of the patients were not feeling well and it was a little disturbing. Being mindful there are sick patients there can help . Otherwise excellent services offered!
Had just flew in from Chicago for a family get-to-gether had picked up a cough the day before but on the flight it progressed to bronchitis. the staff was extremely professional, understanding of my condition and couldnt have been more efficient. This team is awesome! I first visited last week for a painful foot condition. An x-ray was inconclusive so Emily set up an ultrasound. The results indicated some restrictions but we also had an MRI which exposed a metatarsal fracture.During a follow-up Christina, Angie and Rebecca assisted with various tests and scheduling to help Emily determine that I have a couple of existing conditions that are serious and could have compounded my problems if not detected. Emily set me up with appropriate prescriptions and direction to attend to the issues. My treatment was prompt and super courteous. I will be back in a week for another check on my progress. I look forward to working with this team on my recovery.BIG THANKS
Not exactly Urgent care. Plan on waiting NO MATTER WHAT it is. Cut my finger the other day. Bad enough to need stitches. But not an emergency. Showed up with a paper towel keeping the wound from bleeding. Was told it was a 2 hour wait. Wasnt offered a better bandage nothing. Was just told by the sassy front desk lady its a 2 hour wait. Even the people in the waiting room gasped and asked why I wouldnt be helped. The sassy lady did nothing to help. Just kept telling me it was 2 hours and I was free to go somewhere else. I was very calm. Didnt not get mad or raise my voice to deserve the sassy responses and no help. Left and went to the Sarasota Memorial urgent care and got right in. Only needed 7 stitches ultimately. Just wanted to share so no one in the future mistakes this place for an URGENT care.
Excellent Patient Care from the moment I walked-in. The staff was very welcoming and provided fast service.We are on vacation from Miami and our 1 yr old daughter spiked a fever. Dr. Buete was wonderful and diagnosed her immediately. I would definitely recommend to anyone in need of urgent care.

Recently had a great experience at this afc location in Sarasota. Was treated by Melanie and Erin who were so busy but they and the front desk staff took the time to talk me though my situation and we’re friendly and kind. I wasn’t expecting such smiling care from an urgent care that was so busy but they ran things smoothly, efficiently and with smiles. Will definitely come back and would recommend!
I went here to get a physical for my daughter. It was a very efficient process in which we had never done it before. Everyone was very friendly and their pricing is very fair. I got there as soon as they opened and we were out within the hour. They are very thorough and make you feel like the only patient in the building. I highly recommend AFC Urgent care for everything!
They were extremely thorough and caring. They helped address the problem I went in for. They were so thorough they found a potential heart issue through a ekg that I was completely un aware of and refferd me to a cardiologist.Great full for their care. They accually listen to my concerns and didnt treat me like a commodity like so many other places Ive been to. Highly recommend them.
Great group of people. The bedside manner of the staff was reassuring and calming. The American Family Care urgent care was extremely busy and it took relatively little time to address my situation, and when I was directed to an exam room it was as though I were their only patient. Thanks for doing a job that is often unappreciated.
The staff was super courteous. I definitely suggest using their online registration prior to going in.Dr Melanie has an excellent bedside manner and answered all my questions thoroughly and knowledgeably. She also explained treatment options in laymans terms and gave me paperwork to take home that also explained everything. I highly suggest their services.

Every time I visit this center, I am received with exceptional attention and care. Erin Dimtras took the time to listen and referred me to the perfect MD. I was able to cut through red tape after weeks of trying to see specialists. Melanie Wilheim NP, did a phenomenal job expediting me, from weeks to minutes, to get the urgent and specialized care that I needed when my pain was 10 out of 10 and ensuring that I receive the individualized treatment that I needed to get better.A more than grateful patient,Sylvie Lemire.

The single best urgent care experience I’ve ever had. Wound up dealing with both Dr. Emily and Dr. Melanie, both of whom took all the time in the world to answer my many questions. Both are excellent communicators and took the time to understand me thoroughly. Grateful I visited here and not somewhere else.
I was in a car accident early that morning and through my employer they had me immediately go to AFC to be checked by the Dr for any injuries. The whole staff was very kind and considerate. They took the time to ask all the right questions. I had to return a couple times and they showed the consistency of the first visit. Convenient location and no appointment is needed!
Dr. Buete was very thorough and kind. I appreciated his skill and knowledge with wound care. My daughter was relaxed despite having a boo boo and it was her first time at an urgent care clinic. The staff was extremely friendly and kind. We were in and out within 30 minutes. We will definitely be back the next time we need care.
Initially I came here because my primary care doctor was booked for days; when you are sick you cant afford to wait two days to be seen. Now, I come here for everything. I love the care I get from the staff, and that they are very thorough with me and dont rush me in and out of there. They go above and beyond, and take their time to ensure they have covered everything.
Jamie was very welcoming as she greeted me upon arrival. There was no wait! Rebecca waited patiently as I fumbled around my CVS app to find my medication list. Emily Walters (PA) was then respectful and knowledgeable in making my diagnosis and discussing treatment. I will absolutely be back (not too soon I hope) and highly recommend this office
Update: I walked in yesterday and they were very slow. I took almost an hour to take me back and another 30-45 minutes until I was discharged. That being said, everyone was very nice and I received great care.I walked in and registered with the nice gentleman at the front desk. Within 5 minutes I was taken back by a nurse to get my vitals. She was also very friendly. I was then taken to my room and waited about 10 minutes to be seen by the doctor. The doctor was very friendly. She diagnosed me and sent my prescription to my pharmacy. I was in and out in less than 30 minutes. I dont have as good of an experience at my primary care physician. I strongly recommend this location!
I was very pleased with my experience at AFC while on vacation in Florida.It was easy to make an appointment, and I was seen without any delay when I arrived. Dr. Mara was very professional and courteous. After my examination, he was able to schedule me for a CT scan within a few hours. Although the results of my CT scan were not what I had hoped for, Dr. Mara reviewed the results in a timely manner and advised me on the next steps to receive care so I could return home quickly to start treatment.
Reception staff exceptionally efficient and friendly. Staff professional. PA Emily and doctors are amazingly concerned, efficient and caring. Always feel better having gone there for level of care received. After another recent visit, so very pleased with consistent quality of care and staff.
Dr. Buete was very thorough. I neglected to get the nurses name but she did a good job too. I had an appointment but waited over an hour to be taken back after my appointment time. I realize they take walk ins and everyone is shortstaffed now so guess that cant be helped. I do appreciate all in the medical community who are still working.

I had a wonderful experience at this location! Sure, it may become busy- but, thats a testament to the treatment they give, at the extremely reasonable prices they offer. Nina, Faye, Susan, Andrea, Bobbi, Cheryl and Dr. Buete were all major players in the smooth visit and tremendous care I received. Theyre professional, courteous and make you feel well-attended to. My time with the Dr. I felt I was truly given her ear and the floor to communicate my issues and the circumstances surrounding my condition. I brought my daughter here with a bad cough. Check in was easy. When she got to see the doctor he did a couple tests to rule things out. He quickly had a diagnosis and got her a prescription that helped clear it up immediately. I am so appreciative that the staff was so friendly and efficient!
This was my first visit to AFC Urgent Care in Sarasota, FL. I sought medical treatment on a Friday evening at around 6pm and was pleasantly surprised with the prompt service. I was examined by Dr. Melanie. I was extremely satisfied with Dr. Melanie’s efficient and thorough assessment of my symptoms, including testing and quick results in-office. Dr. Melanie prescribed me adequate medication and offered recommendations for any subsequent treatment I might need to get well. Thanks.

Everyone else in the office whos names I do not know are always very nice, as well! Their location is worth the wait, especially sincethere is a wait EVERYWHERE, anyways! I recommend the membership for small families without insurance!
This office has taken ease of communication to a whole new level, one of which I have NEVER experienced with any other urgent care OR doctors office, for that matter. AFC has added a chat option in their Google contact info which put me directly in touch with an actual PERSON who responded very quickly to a couple of brief questions I had before being seen. I chatted with Erin who was immensely helpful...it truly felt like a breath of fresh air to be listened to rather than pushed off, as I often feel these days with the medical community. Additionally, AFC Urgent Care offers a pre-registration option to avoid the in-person wait time and alerts the patient via text as their appointment time nears. I have a high deductible insurance plan so most visits/services I have to pay for out of pocket, regardless. AFC now offers a Direct Care Membership plan that is affordable and offers all-inclusive services to their members. It was a no-brainer for me to join, as this will undoubtedly save me money. Having the piece of mind that if I need to be seen or need bloodwork, etc. I can go as many times as necessary and it wont cost me a penny beyond my monthly membership cost. To me, this is priceless, given the outrageous costs of medical services today. I am quite impressed with AFC Urgent Care and am happy to see a medical organization making genuine efforts to assist their patients in a multitude of helpful ways. Hopefully other organizations will look at this progressive model and implement these ideas in their practices as well. Great job AFC Urgent Care!
I was unfortunate enough to go there and paid by credit card. Thank god. I got a notice a couple weeks later that I did not pay and responded back to the office and showed them the proof. They employee took me to the back room on the fist floor and looked up my account. She took a photo of my phone, and had me email it to the accounting office as I stood there. I moved residence and 4 month later I check my credit report to see this charge and my credit down graded. I called the creditor (collections company) who placed the info in and sent the same info to all three credit bureaus and updated my new address. the credit bureau takes it off my credit and I get yet another call 4 months later from AFC accounting telling me I owe this AGAIN. I explain again and send her the information. I was assured it would be handled, and I gave her my new address to make sure. Today, I receive yet another call, this time from the office manager of AFC who informs me I owe this again. I was rude to say the least and after calming down called back to apologize, I was told to call back tomorrow to speak with her boss. Not gonna happen! Honestly, the doctor and staff were great but I will have to be dying to go back there. It is like a tooth ache for years! Incredible! Please consider this my last response. If you place this on my credit again I will see you in court. So far It has been 1/2 hour of my time, each time to find the info and respond back. I think I have done my due diligence for something that is CLEARLY an internal issue that they need to sort out.
Im visiting from Baltimore County, MD; set up my appointment online awake at 4am, schedule for 8:45am. Just a lil swimmers ear. arrive 6 minutes before, check in and seen on schedule. A lil preventative care avoided an ear infection. Thank you folks.
The care is wonderful. The doctor or clinician’s are so helpful and kind. They spent a lot of time with me. I’ve been here a few times. The cons are calling there. Can’t get through even when they ask you to call them. Also, Front desk staff. Not very personable. Which is sad because that’s the face of your business.
I had a great experience at AFC urgent care. My nurse, Danny, was very professional and caring. He made me feel comfortable throughout my visit. They took good care of me during a very stressful time and I am very thankful to them.
I went yesterday with my daughter and is the best walk in clinic I ever visited. Since you walk in front desk stuff super friendly Joseph was fantastic!! Professional and explain everything. Fast, friendly service. I brought my daughter in on a middle weekday to get her school health form filled out. Everyone was really nice and the wait was not too bad for a walk-in situation. If the need arises, I wouldnt hesitate to go here again.
I decided to travel the extra miles to be seen at this Urgent Care after reading the reviews. The staff was extremely pleasant considering how very busy they were. The front desk was attentive helpful and personable. Carmen made be feel welcome and she was apologetic for the long wait, but it was a Sunday after all! I felt the physician took time with me and answered all my questions. I am a retired nurse and I recommend this urgent care.
The staff has been so friendly and helpful whenever I come in. My most recent visit I had to pop in for an X-Ray, and they had me in and out in 30 minutes, which was really nice! They offer a lot for a very fair price in my opinion.
Extremely professional with a minimal wait time and the care I received was very attentive and they also did a follow up call making sure I was ok. So kudos to Everyone for making this visit a Great Experience.

Very pleasant visit. They was no wait time. The front office staff were pleasant. The Dr did an exam and prescribed medication. He did not rush our visit and explained the possibilities of my issue. I can highly recommend this facility. Thank you Dr and staff for a great experience.

I visited at 8:00am on New Year’s Eve while on vacation. I selected the location based on proximity and the reviews I read. The office was very busy but they were very prompt and efficient. The receptionist, nurse and doctor were all extremely professional and caring. Very kind and caring staff. I visited again in December 2021 for rapid Covid tests for me and my son. Once again the staff was friendly, professional, and efficient. We were there less than 30 minutes.
Dr. Mel is really great! The staff is always helpful and kind. She always takes care of me and my elderly mom. I am grateful for her knowledge and professionalism as well as respect for my desire for a more natural approach . Always reasonable wait time and clean environment

All persons are excellent personal and caring. This was a wonderful experience out of an uncomfortable migraine headache giving me much pain. From the receptionist to triad to Doctor, all were very Kind and showing a lot of compassion with consideration of my circumstances.
Unfortunately had to make a visit to Urgent Care and was impressively surprised by the way it went. From the initial outdoor reception to the final Dr. Eric Buetes involvement, the entire process was efficient and patient friendly. I was able to get diagnosed, blood tested and treated all within a reasonable time frame. Most important was how the staff all contributed to my well being and made me feel super comfortable. Thank you AFC you are 5 star for sure!!
Everyone was friendly and was satisfied with care given. Very easy check in process. If I had to give a negative the parking could be challenging for some. But I am glad to know I have a found a walk in clinic to use if needed.
I went on Thur. 2/14/19 in the late afternoon after calling to make sure they took my insurance & finding that the wait time was around 1/2 hr.I went there because of the reviews even though they were further away from where I was staying.I’m so glad I did. The waiting area was clean & airconditioned, the receptionist was friendly & helpful. I waited about 1/2hr and was then called in and seen by someone who was also very nice and who took all my vitals & needed information.I then went upstairs to see Dr. Zucco who came in the room within minutes. Like the rest of her staff, she was warm & friendly. Examined me & new exactly what I needed to take and do. A nice gentleman came in then to help discharge me with the information I needed and had already called in my prescription at the pharmacy I requested. I couldn’t believe how efficient and kind the doctor and entire staff was.I’m writing this review on Sat. 2/16/19 at 9pm feeling much better. They even gave me a follow up call earlier today.Truly is the place to go if you need medical attention.

Had to take my son here and they were so efficient with time and seemed to really care about each patient. The staff made sure we were comfortable and the dr went above and beyond to make sure we were covered with any school excuses, sports notes, etc

We were visiting Florida from out of town and my 5 year old daughter had an earache. We only waited 15 minutes and had a wonderful doctor who listened. She was treated with an antibiotic but the pharmacy didn’t carry it. When I called the urgent care to let them know, they already took care of it and changed it to something else. Great place!
