I waited awhile to write this review. I will say my experience with Swedish and Dr. Winner was confusing and its hard to give a rating. I have stage IV endo- deep infiltrating and had my diagnostic in 2021. From that my surgeon said it was the worst she had seen and sent me to oncology who couldnt help me without a hysterectomy. I was only 22 at the time and I didnt want to take away options of kids. Fast forward to 2022, I did research on endometriosis excision specialists in WA. Dr winner came up and one other surgeon (who couldnt help me) My first meeting with Dr. Winner she 45 mins late and very cold. She said other surgeons werent as qualified with a case like this, and she had done 3 years of training on endometriosis excision as well as bowel excision. She stated she could do it all due to her extensive training. During the consult we knew I would need surgery and she told me I would need 4 weeks of downtime from work. This was in November 2022. So with this in mind I waited until I had that much PTO and called to a consult with her again in June 2023. They told me she would have to redo the surgery pre op visit and that she wouldnt be available until October 2023. It was a long time but the front desk told me surgery is quick its just shes not in clinic often and thats the soonest for the virtual. In October I met with her again and she confused me with another patient twice. Then she stated that she wouldnt move forward without a cardiologist clearance due to my history. She hadnt mentioned that before and I was upset because I could of easily done that in all my months of waiting. Then they told me the soonest date would be January 5th for surgery. Not the 1 month I had been quoted before. I pressed on. Dr winner told me she would see if my tubes worked, remove my cysts, excise the endo on my bladder, bowels, and rectum and if the tubes didnt work she would remove them. She left it up to me and I told her whatever she felt comfortable with.On the day of surgery everything went fine leading up until surgery. Dr. Winner said she wouldnt be able to meet with me after because she had another case. The care team was excellent, nurses and doctors were amazing. I woke up from surgery and I immediately asked the nurse if I still had my tubes. She said wait for your surgeon. I asked again and she said they left them. I started bawling. I was so happy because this meant I would be able to naturally conceive and Dr winner was able to clear them out. As Im in recovery my dad called me and told me he was sorry they didnt do anything. I remember thinking what? I was in so much pain from this surgery compared to my last surgery. I found out through my mom Dr winner wasnt able to even visualize my pelvic structures due to adhesions. She called in an emergency surgeon and he tried to get through the adhesions as well. They decided to terminate the surgery rather than risk cutting into one of my major organs. For that Im grateful. But the process of paying 4500$ and waiting over a year for Dr. Winner to close me up with no relief, its devastating. To not have one of the other surgeons tell me the surgery didnt go to plan, was devastating. I had to call the next day because my mom didnt know how to explain to me the severity of my case. Dr. Winner said I had the worst case she had seen in her career and she was sorry. The reason Im unhappy is because I tried to tell her it was a complicated case. Half of the time she was tuning me out drawing pictures and didnt see me as a person. I liked her confidence and thats what you want in a surgeon. But had she spent more time listening to my previous experience and all the consults I had, she would know Im not just an average stage IV case. I feel like the only time she saw me as human was after the surgery. She said well your pain makes sense. When I was supposed to have my post op she left the clinic a month later. My regular gyno doesnt feel comfortable prescribing me pain meds and now I have to get another surgery. Still in pain, no relief.
Thank you Dr. Winner for giving me my life back! I had been miserable for years and suspected endometriosis due to the prevalence in my family. I traveled four hours to see Dr. Winner and she confirmed I likely had endometriosis. She did an excellent job listening to me and then explaining my options. I did have the option of having surgery locally where I live but I wanted a surgeon that specializes in endometriosis. Having the right surgeon makes a big difference in the outcome and your quality of life afterward. She was recommended by a family friend and I’m so glad I went to see her. I had a hysterectomy in October and it’s one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. I fully trusted her skills and rightfully so because she did an amazing job! She was right, I did have endometriosis! Her Minimally Invasive technique was such a blessing. My recovery was smooth and I very little pain. I highly recommend her!! Don’t hesitate to call her, she will change your life for the better! 🙂
Today marks one year since I had a surgery with Dr. Winner. I have waited to write a review to see how I felt in a year. I cant even put into words how life changing my hysterectomy was. I had a 13cm cyst on my right ovary which was causing quite a bit of pain and other symptoms. Dr. Winner was referred by my gynecologist for surgery. She is personable, professional, down to earth and listens. I work in healthcare and know good and bad surgeons. She truly was meant to operate and knows her stuff. Ladies, Dr. Winner is worth the wait. She is worth your time. She will change your life. Make that appointment and dont look back.
I had an amazing experience with Dr. Winner. I received an endometrial excision surgery from her after years of intense pain. The surgery experience itself was so smooth-- her team went to great lengths to ensure I was comfortable and relaxed. All things considered, I had a really easy recovery. Dr. Winner answered all of my questions (I had lots!) and was so kind and patient. Unfortunately Ive had numerous experiences with doctors being invalidating and condescending, and Dr. Winner was the complete opposite. She made me feel so comfortable and cared for. I am extremely grateful for Dr. Winners expertise.
I am eight months post-op from a hysterectomy and excision with Dr Winner. I was reflecting on this time last year when I was a shell of myself due to the severity of my endometriosis. It is thanks to her skill that the endo is out of my body with nothing more to show for it than two tiny and rapidly fading incision scars! Thank you to Dr Winner and her incredible team!
Thank you to Dr. Winner and her team!!!! I just had my 12 week post-op appointment and I finally feel like myself again. Thinking I was just going through the change but it was more than that for years. From very heavy bleeding, multiple periods a month, horribly painful cramps, bloating, frequent urination and of course painful intercourse. My wonderful gynecologist, Dr. Dvorak tried to fix it with the least intrusive option, an endometrial ablation. It was better for about six months then it went back to the way it was. (she did give me a heads up and said it might not work) She said at this point I should consider a hysterectomy. I really needed to think about it, because everything I knew about that option was scary and could have so many complications. I thought about it for a couple of months and decided I wanted to take the chance. Dr. Dvorak said there is only one doctor she would recommend and that is Dr. Winner. Dr. Winner knows her stuff, she is very knowledgeable, answered all my questions. (I had a lot!) We found out I had Adenomyosis, Endometriosis, and fibroids. Any one of these conditions are extremely painful and I had all 3. Dr. Winner assured me she would do her best to make this better and explained what she would do it. (In terms I could understand) Theres only one of her so it does take some time to see her and get scheduled for surgery. Be patient shes worth the wait. The Laparoscopic Hysterectomy surgery was done without any issues (only a few hours) and I went home that same day. She was even able to save my ovaries, so I didnt wake up straight into Menopause. I had 2 small incisions on each side of my belly and 1 in my belly button that I cant even see anymore. The aftercare was amazing, any questions I had I only had to call her office and her team was always available to help me. (shout out to Nurse Holt, Natasha and Dr. Kretzer) I cant thank Dr. Winner enough, I have my life back. You really do more than just surgery, you gave me my body and sanity back!
Dr.Winner is the best thing that happened to me. She did my hysterectomy with excision of endometriosis in May of last year. I came to her with daily pain, thinking that this was my new normal. I am now living my life practically pain free! I feel like a whole new person! I have very minimal scarring and healing process was quick and easy, allowing for me to go back to work full-time 10-days after surgery. I recommend her to everyone! The photos attached are 2 days after surgery, and then 3 weeks after surgery.
Personal Experience from 11/2017-02/2018:Dr. Winner has an ego likely because of her last name. She continuously boasts about her ability to perform complicated surgeries regular OBGYN providers don’t perform as frequently. However, I ended up not being worth her time/energy and had my procedure CANCELLED with less than 2 weeks’ notice. This resulted in waiting over 3 years for a “regular OBGYN” to perform a hysteroscopy with Laparoscopic resection of Stage 2 Endometriosis, while being considered “high risk” due to my medical history (something Dr Winner could easily due as a MIGS).Dr Winner also has problems keeping her word. I called her office 2-3 years ago inquiring about an appointment and was told “If your imaging shows changes, you can have a return appointment to discuss possible surgical options.” When I called to make the appointment (with imaging to confirm there were changes warranting surgery), I was denied an appointment with no explanation/apology. I recently attempted to reach out and ask if she’d consider consulting on a Hysterectomy and was completely ignored (no message/call/explanation). Despite differences, she could have explained her decision instead of being somewhat rude. Being a highly-trained surgeon doesn’t excuse her from basic common courtesy and “choosing” who is worthy of her time, especially when a patient is scheduled for a procedure that would improve overall quality of life.
After a decade of chronic pain, I am finally pain free thanks to Dr. Winner. I am 8 weeks postop from my laparoscopic hysterectomy, endometriosis excision, and bilateral salpingectomy surgery. Despite how major my surgery was, I feel incredible!!! My recovery was so comfortable that I didnt even need to take the opiate painkillers they prescribed me - I just took Tylenol and Advil for the first week and that was all I needed. I just had my final postop appt and was told Ive healed perfectly and am cleared for all regular activities. My incisions are barely even visible (they look like 2 small paper cuts and the one in my belly button is completely hidden). Everyone in Dr. Winners team at Swedish has been exceptionally empathetic, prompt, and helpful. Im really blown away by them. Ive had a number of other surgeries at other hospitals and this was by far the best surgery experience Ive ever had. I was able to go home the same day and they made sure I felt comfortable and ready to go before I was discharged.Prior to finding Dr. Winner, I had countless doctor appointments with PCPs and numerous specialists, but none were able to really help me. They usually suggested trying different forms of birth control or said that my symptoms were a normal part of being a woman or due to stress. It worsened over the years to the point where I was regularly in excruciating 10/10 pain, could bleed for weeks at a time, and had a laundry list of classic endo symptoms. Finally, I found Dr. Winner and her nurse Marie who truly listened and cared about finding a solution for me. If you are in a similar position and are considering surgery as an option, please do yourself a favor and go see Marie and Dr. Winner. Check out her Instagram too, Ive learned so much from it and love seeing other patients experiences. I remember reading all of these 5 star reviews and feeling skeptical, like they were too good to be true, but now I get the hype. I feel like an entirely new person now and I havent felt this good in years. Dr. Winner is a phenomenal surgeon and is truly life changing!
Dr. Winner and her team were incredible. I had an 11cm intramural fibroid and she was still able to perform a laparoscopic minimally invasive surgery to remove the fibroid. Surgery was great and the recovery was great as well! I didn’t have to take anything other than Tylenol. I am currently 3 months post op and feel incredible! I highly recommend her and her team. You will be in great hands.
I honestly cant say enough amazing things about Dr. Brooke Winner. Im 3 weeks out from my laparoscopic myomectomy and the entire experience felt like a breeze compared to the experiences of friends who have undergone the more invasive abdominal myomectomy procedure.I was referred to Dr. Winner by my ivf doctor after an ultrasound showed what appeared to be 2 or 3 large fibroids in and around my uterus. After meeting with Dr. Winner, I felt confident that I was in the right place. She took time to efficiently explain exactly what was going on, what to expect and what all of my options were. She also ordered an mri scan in addition to the initial ultrasound, and it revealed that I actually had one very large fibroid hanging off of my uterus on a stalk. Later I found out that the fibroid weighed x6 what a typical uterus weighs and was 11cm large! Most of my friends, specifically other Black women, who have fibroids and also want children someday have all had abdominal myomectomy procedures recommended to them due to the size or number of fibroids they might have. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND Dr. Winner as she explained exactly why that is not always the best approach. My experience the day of surgery was top tier. Huge thank you to her entire team and the nurses at Swedish for helping me feel safe and cared for.
Dr. Winner is the best. She did my 2nd surgery. The first was by a nurse practitioner who convinced me it would be an easy surgery and she’d go in with a little vacuum and suck up any endometriosis and I could have beautiful babies afterward. As soon as the first doctor opened me up she realized she didn’t have the skills for my advanced state. This later led me to research and find Dr. Winner and to learn a very valuable lesson: Always do your homework when it comes to your health. Dr. Winner is the most experienced and dedicated doctor I know. She has a long waitlist but trust me, she is worth it. She did my hysterectomy, removed one ovary, my fallopian tubes and all cysts, endometriosis, fibroids etc. We decided to keep one ovary to minimize the menopausal symptoms but 1 year later that ovary became necrotic and brought me to the ER at 2am. The on-call doctor called Dr. Winner’s office and she happened to be on call that day. She met me at the Swedish Ballard ER at 7am and arranged for emergency surgery at First Hill by 8am. Both my husband and I follow her on social media because she is the best in her field, does so much education, is an advocate for endometriosis research and training and helped me out in my darkest most painful times. She saved my life. If you have advanced endometriosis, she is the best.
Dr. Winner is one of the kindest people I have met. She took everything I said seriously and sympathetically. I cannot recommend her enough, especially for patients with other chronic pain issues. I have had two surgeries with her: I felt prepared for everything and my recovery was smooth both times. I recommend her to everyone who is looking to surgically deal with period pain/endometriosis. My quality of life has greatly improved.
I cannot recommend Dr. Winner and her care team enough! I am 4 weeks post-surgery for deep infiltrating endometriosis and I am trying to find the words to convey my gratitude for Dr. Winner and everyone whos helped me on this healing journey. I found her information on the internet, so I wanted to make sure to leave a review. If your pain has been dismissed, if youre feeling hopeless, and/or if youre feeling like youre alone - you are not. Even though all of my tests (bloodwork, colonoscopy, transvaginal ultrasound) were normal, Dr. Winner and her team affirmed me and I was given the option to have laparoscopic surgery. We moved forward with excision surgery and they found A LOT of endometriosis and even had to bring in a surgeon to remove my appendix because the endo had spread so much. I share this to say it felt really affirming to have more information about why Id been in pain for so many years. I am 36 and have had my period since I was 11 years old. I was always told Id outgrow this pain or I was told that birth control pills were the only option. Dr. Winner gave me more solutions than I had ever been presented with. And though theres no cure for endometriosis, I feel like this excision surgery was a move forward on the path to healing. I am so grateful to Dr. Winner, her colleagues and the nurse care team!
Dr. Winner helped me take the scary step to take care of my body and give me a better life. She listened, explained everything well and more importantly, performed a successful complicated surgery with her very experienced and compassionate team. I had a total hysterectomy, salpingo-oophorectomy and ileocecectomy. Despite this being much more intense than my two previous laparoscopies, I healed much smoother and more quickly. I’m 2 1/2 years out with no complications whatsoever. I recommend Dr. Winner 100%.
Dr Winner was phenomenal. It’s hard to believe 9 weeks later that I even had such an major surgery. My body has healed without any issue. I chose Dr Winner due to her volume of laparoscopic hysterectomy procedures allowing her to really perfect her ability to safely perform this procedure. I wouldn’t choose any one else for the job if I did it again.
Dr. Winner and her team were very attentive and caring. Dr. Winner is a very thorough and talented surgeon. My previous OB/Gyn Surgeon did not locate all of the lesions that Dr. Winner did. I have not felt this good in years. It has made the quality of my life so much better. I would recommend Dr. Winner and her team without hesitation.
I couldn’t thank God enough that I got introduced to Dr. Winner. She is a brilliant surgeon specializing in minimally invasive hysterectomy surgeries.I was diagnosed with multi fibroids with the largest being 10 cm, and at 500 grams my uterus was equivalent to a 16 wk pregnant women. I was experiencing heavy, painful and prolonged bleeding which typically lasted 10-12 days.As a result I was severely anaemic and felt exhausted. My quality of life was pretty bad to say the least. The surgery itself went very smooth and recovery was super quick. In about 1 week I was able to do most of the chores - except lifting heavy weights as suggested for 6 weeks. It’s hard to explain the difference this has made in my quality of life - I feel like I am living my life once again the way I never imagined would be possible.Dr. Winner has been very thorough and counseled us at every step of the process. She gave us time to be mentally prepared for the surgery. Her confidence and qualifications in this field are unmatched and that made it easy for us to take this major decision.Thank you, Dr Winner, from the bottom of my heart. You deserve every bit of adulation and recognition for being so good at what you do.
I consider myself very lucky to have been connected with Dr. Winner for my Myomectomy. My OBGYN at the time wanted to complete my surgery with a large abdominal incision and with what I consider an inadequate approach to the removal of a fibroid in my case. I am so glad I pressed to see a surgeon who believes in a different approach. A surgery which is minimally invasive, with a quicker recovery time and positive outcomes. Dr. Winner is talented laparoscopic surgeon and a champion for womens health. She does a wonderful job explaining all the options and how the surgery will go. I appreciate the high level of detail. I have high anxiety due to prior pelvic trauma and I appreciated the extra phone calls from her to help me navigate that challenge for me. The surgery went amazing, the recovery time was so quick, and I know without a doubt I put myself in the best possible hands. Thank you Dr. Winner for your dedication to providing me with the best possible care!
Dr Winner is a star. Caring, skilled, truthful.I am at the 7 mark point post laparoscopic hysterectomy, for a fibroid filled extra large uterus.I no longer have tailbone pain and am on a road trip, something that would have been impossible before due to my need for frequent bathroom stops.I am even now losing weight and have more energy to do this,Even if you have to self refer ( I did!) or travel, she is absolutely worth it!
I am 5 days post surgery excision of stage 3 Endometriosis. I did thorough research & prayed for wisdom on finding a Provider that was specialized and knew this disease.Every visit leading up to the surgery was great. Dr. Winner listened to all my questions and was always professional and caring, especially respectful at the importance of preserving my fertility. The staff that booked my appointment and followed up pre-surgery were always kind and professional.Day of surgery, the entire care team from front desk, all of the nurses (pre/ post op), anesthesiologists were incredible and a very well oiled machine. They made me feel very comfortable and seeing how well they operated calmed many nervous jitters.I have recovered incredibly well and have not had to use any narcotics. I was able to maintain pain levels with Ibuprofen every 8 hours for the first few days. I attribute this to the skill level of Dr. Winner.Dr. Winner, thank you for what you do, for checking in with me a few days post surgery. You are changing peoples lives daily and I feel blessed beyond measure that I was under your care and after so many doctors that neglected me, you have changed my perception of Western medicine in a positive way. You have made a difference in my life and I thank God for you.I’m hoping this surgery will enable us to have kids but most of all, I’m just thankful to be Endometriosis free and on the other side of surgery.Blessings.
My experience with Dr. Winner was a great experience. She is knowledgeable, explained what to expect every step of the way, answers all my questions, and I felt really comfortable with her.One thing that stood out was when she did my pre-op and post-op exams she held out her hand to help me up from the table. I have never experienced this with other doctors, they usually leave you there and step out of the room. I really appreciate that. The surgery and recovery went well, I was a little worried because I had a severe case but it was a success. My body especially my low back feels a lot better than it had in many years and I know it will get better in years to come.Dr. Winner’s team and all the providers she brought in were Clare at! The patient care at Swedish is top notch. They are a wonderful team in taking care of me every step of the way.Thank you Dr. Winner and team.
Dr. Winner is incredible. I had been struggling to find a Dr. that would take me seriously and actually listen to my symptoms without pushing a pill on me. My first visit with her I told her I wasnt comfortable taking a pill to manage my symptoms and wanted to find the root cause. She never pushed me or made me feel dumb for my choices. She was very respectful and laid out my options in a way that was easy to understand. Dr. Winners bedside manner is wonderful! She made me feel so comfortable, respected and heard. I had a laparoscopy performed by Dr. Winner to remove Fibroids, a cyst & Endometriosis. Her team was amazing! They all made me feel so safe and at ease. I honestly was so nervous for surgery and when I got there and met them all I was so excited to be in their care! I am currently 3.5 weeks post op and already feel so much better! Her skill as a surgeon is easily seen from my recovery. I never had to take any medications at all post op! My incisions were made neatly and are tiny. I already feel less bloated and am experiencing less cramping in my day to day life. I cant wait to see what I feel like in a few more weeks. Thank you so much Dr. Winner and your incredible staff for making me feel so comfortable! As someone who suffered for YEARS and searched for a good provider, I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Brooke Winner.
I had stage four endometriosis, with my uterus attached both to my bladder and my colon. This was a high risk surgery that not just any doctor/surgeon could perform. Dr winner made sure to get the proper testing and have a colon surgeon at the ready if needed with this surgery. She made sure I was informed of the risks, the process and what to expect after. She was very educational every step of the way, and the surgery went better than expected with no damage to the colon (this was expected to happen since my endometriosis wasnt inside the colon but sticking the uterus very closely to the colon) and not only were both my ovaries saved, all my endometriosis was cleaned up, I am now for the first time in over 15 years pain free with a hysterectomy (keeping ovaries) and I was so grateful and relieved to hear that no other organs or damage happened during the procedure. This was a high risk surgery many surgeons outside of Seattle were refusing to perform, and this Dr winner performed this surgery so perfectly, she made it look easy. I will never trust another surgeon for any endometriosis or female organ related surgeries with my life, because if it wasnt for DR winner, i would not be here today, had I had another surgeon outside of swedish perform this. Thank you, for allowing such a blessing to rid me of the suffering I had since my teens. I will forever recommend DR winner for ANYTHING endometriosis/female organ related issues.
I was referred to Dr. Winner by my gynecologist Dr. Koala , and I’m so glad that she did ! Dr. Winner is truly an advocate for women’s reproductive health . Right from the first appointment I knew I was in the hands of an expert ! She is very methodical in her approach and starts with all the right imaging and scans and takes the time to ask you how you are truly feeling and what your symptoms are . After the imaging , she takes the time to discuss all the surgical options , recovery times and the surgery procedure itself .It’s been about a month and a half after my laparoscopic cystectomy and myomectomy , my incisions look great and I’m slowly gaining my strength and energy back . With great skill , Dr Winner excised stage 4 endometrioma , scar tissue and fibroids ! My recovery anxiety and pain were eased by a great pain management regimen and a post op appointment with Dr Winner .It’s worth mentioning , Dr Winner has a great team backing her up. Her nurses Allison and Cindy fielded all my paranoid questions in the lead up to surgery and made me feel calmer about the procedure .Managing endometriosis is ongoing , but Dr Winner has set me up for success . Please don’t suffer in silence if you have endometriosis , advocate for yourself and see an expert like Dr Winner !
Dr. Winner changed my life. She is a one of a kind surgeon! She is one of dozens of physicians I have worked with on my Endometriosis, one of 3 willing to even operate. After 10 years of agonizing pain and continuous gaslighting from the medical community- I found her. She listened to my concerns and goals, and actually respected them! She believed me- and had a way to help me. Hysterectomy does not cure endometriosis, but in my case it was necessary. She performed a hysterectomy, salpingectomy (tube removal) and endometriosis removal. Immediately post op, I thought I was in a different body! I didn’t need narcotics, and was walking easily within a few days. I have gained quality of life I never thought I would have! If you need gynecologic surgery- come RUNNING!!!! She performs minimally invasive gynecological surgery for almost any condition. Photos showing my swelling before and after!!
Dr Winner is a hero, truly. Its no secret shes a skilled surgeon, but just as importantly, she listens. Its really something to be in pain for 20 years without feeling like anybody truly believes you, and then one day you find someone that does AND can fix it 🤯Even with the best doctors Ive seen before, it always felt like I had to convince them that what I was sharing about my experience was true. That I wasnt exaggerating or being dramatic. I can understand how that happens, but its demoralizing and makes those visits feel performative as a patient. Dr Winner is different. She knew exactly what questions to ask, was laser focused on my answers, and opposite to my previous experiences, ended up reassuring ME that my excruciating periods werent normal and deserved treatment. She was right - I ended up having Stage IV endometriosis, among a handful of other things. Things get very real when youre post-op and learn that you did, in fact, have a pelvis full of problems and there are pictures to boot. 😳 Thats when the value of a high volume surgeon really sinks in. If youre going to have someone poking and slicing around your most delicate vital organs, you *really* want someone who does it regularly and is unfazed by a challenge. Its worth the wait. Her team is also wonderful, from the front desk staff (so kind and on top of it) to the OR team (a happy, well-oiled machine). My recovery nurse was also an angel. Surgery is stressful, but knowing youre in good hands the whole way through makes a world of difference. If youre suffering and you know somethings wrong, put down the kale, step away from the supplements, and talk to Dr Winner or another minimally invasive gynecologic surgeon so you can get the help you deserve.
This review is long overdue! I met with Dr Winner for the first time in January. The first question she asked me was for me to tell her what was going on in my words. I had been experiencing intermittent EXCRUCIATING pain for a year, so my description was lengthy. Usually at doctors appointments I feel rushed - I never felt that once with Dr Winner. I was impressed and I felt as though she was truly listening to me - like finally someone understood and validated the pain I was experiencing!! The questions she asked me were thoughtful - it was very apparent she had looked at my ultrasounds prior to meeting with me and had a clear idea of the treatment plan she was going to suggest. There was no time wasted during my appointment where she had to go through months of doctors notes from my chart (I have experienced that in the past).Fast forward a month (I was incredibly lucky she had a cancellation in her schedule) and she completed a laparoscopic ovarian cystectomy and hysteroscopy.Post surgery she informed me that there were more cysts than she had anticipated and the surgery was a little more complex than we thought it was going to be. I was SO relieved I had chosen to have her do the surgery instead of an OBGYN without as much surgical experience as she has.Immediately after surgery I felt relief from the discomfort I had been feeling. I am so grateful I can now move on with my life pain free - my only regret is waiting as long as I did to see Dr Winner!! If you are considering scheduling with her or another doctor at her office do not wait. Call them right now!
100 period pain free days!!! After 35 years of debilitating and painful periods due to fibroids I finally found Dr. Winner. She and her staffed worked tirelessly to get me into surgery as quickly and as smoothly as possible. I am so happy to have found Dr. Winner. Having her perform a total laparoscopic hysterectomy was the best decision Ive made in years. Highly recommend!Today is the 1 year anniversary of my hysterectomy and I have been painful period free for one glorious year now. A special shot out and thanks to Dr. Brooke Winner. You are the best!!
Dr. Winner is an outstanding surgeon and provided excellent care throughout my recent surgery and recovery. I couldnt recommend her more and laparoscopic surgery is an option that all women with health issues should consider before traditional surgery. The surgical experience and recovery was easy, I was off heavy medication within 48 hours and back to relatively normal life in just a few weeks. After struggling for years to be heard by my previous OB-GYNs, I felt that Dr. Winner immediately validated my symptoms, provided options and recommendations for care, and gave me hope that I could live normally again. The thing I appreciated most is that while she is a skilled surgeon, she didnt push the surgery option as the only path, acknowledged the complexity of my case and fully reviewed the risks and potential complications. Additionally, as a woman of child-bearing age who has chosen not to have children, Dr. Winner made it clear that my gynecological health was as important as if I were choosing to have children - a refreshing perspective that I havent seen from other physicians.
I could not be more grateful and happy with the care that Dr. Winner and her clinical team provided me for the duration of time I was under her care for laparoscopic total hysterectomy due to severe and complex uterine fibroids. Here are just a few reasons why:- I was terrified of this surgery but her quiet confidence and ability to explain things in a way that I could understand immediately put me at ease.- Her integrity - she lived up to every promise she made and assured me that I was making the right decision every step of the treatment and surgical process- She listens - I had A LOT of concerns. This was a long process for me because I had to have treatment to shrink my uterus and fibroids before she could perform the surgery plus, I just never thought I would need this type of surgery. She listened to all of my concerns and put me at ease when I became emotional. She and her staff were so responsive to every email or phone call and patiently answered all my questions and concerns along the way.- Her skill - her track record as a surgeon is impeccable!Ultimately, what really set her apart for me is the fact that all she does is minimally invasive surgery for women like me suffering from uterine fibroids, endometriosis and other gynecologic conditions and especially cases with high complexity. It still amazes me that she was able to do my surgery laparoscopically considering the size of my uterus and location of my fibroids. Most surgeons would have passed me on to a general surgeon for traditional surgery that is much riskier, more painful and with an extensive recovery time. With Dr. Winner, I was home the same evening as my surgery, back to work in 2 weeks and fully recovered after 2 months. My life has never been better; I only wish I had called her sooner.I know there are a lot women like me out there, silently suffering because they think they can tough it out or its just a few more years until menopause or surgery isnt for me. Try to imagine a life without constant pain, fatigue and endless feminine products and then call Dr. Winner.Thank you, Dr. Winner!! You truly gave me my life and my health back.
Ive been procrastinating with writing this because I wanted to give Dr. Winner the attention she deserves. This review is long so bear with me.I suffered from heavy menstrual bleeding/painful periods for as long as I can remember dating back to high school. I was prescribed birth control to regulate my cycle/slow the bleeding. I continued this for years until eventually the bleeding started to gradually increase in flow and frequency and I started experiencing what I now know where other “bulk symptoms”. Pelvic pain, bloating, weight gain, and urinary frequency.I went to my regular OBGYN and was told everything was normal, that I had a heavy flow and needed to be more active as I got older. I never pushed. I was offered the mirena IUD to hopefully stop my periods. It did for the most part stop my cycle, but it didn’t help with any of my other symptoms. Also note my IUD had to be placed in the OR because my OBGYN failed at a clinic room placement. She stated I had a tilted uterus. SHE NEVER ORDERED ANY IMAGING.I kept my IUD for 4 years until it was removed so my husband and I could TTC. After almost a year of actively TTC with no success (and extremely heavy periods) I called my OB and I was told that due to COVID they weren’t seeing patients for infertility reasons. I was offered birth control for the bleeding but declined because I was TTC. Fast forward 6 months. Im 18 weeks pregnant and in the ER for vaginal bleeding and excruciating pelvic pain. After an MRI the on staff labor and delivery Dr came in and told me I had several large uterine fibroids and that at least 1 of them was degenerating. After my daughter was born my OB recommended a hysterectomy. I want more kids so declined. She referred me to another minimally invasive gynecological surgeon (MIGS). This Dr offered an open myomectomy due to my fibroids size, but was very pushy towards a robotic hysterectomy. She stated she couldn’t guarantee my uterus would be able to sustain pregnancy after the operation. I now know she likely wasn’t confident in her skill set.At home I began to research. I found the ACOG literature for choosing a treatment option for fibroids. I read about lupron, uterine fibroid embolization, uterine artery embolization, hysterectomy, myomectomy (and all the ways its performed). I knew I wanted a laparoscopic myomectomy. I learned about the importance of seeing a fellowship training board certified high-volume MIGS specialist. After following Dr Winner on IG and reading her reviews I called her office knowing exactly what I wanted. The level of care I received from her office from my first appointment to my final post-op appointment was far superior to any medical care I have ever received.Dr Winner is direct, informative, and extremely confident in her knowledge & skill set. Her team know exactly whats needed to make sure the entire process goes smoothly start to finish, and reply to messages/phone calls in an extremely timely fashion (usually within the hour). They validated me in feeling like something wasn’t right for so many years.Dr. Winner reviewed my imaging and was confident in her ability to perform an outpatient laparoscopic myomectomy. Going into the operation we knew I had 8 uterine fibroids, with 2 of them over 8cm. During the operation Dr. Winner found 3 additional fibroids and several pelvic adhesion bands which added time and complexity to my procedure. Rather then switching to an open operation, Dr. Winner simply added a 4th laparoscopic port and completed the operation complication free.If I had any doubts in Dr. Winners skill set (I didn’t) they where put to rest after my operation. I went home 2 hours later, only took 1 tablet of narcotic pain medication and had to keep reminding myself I just had surgery. 5 days post op I felt better then I had in years. At 1 month post op I can’t tell I’ve had surgery and my incisions are flat, and look phenomenal. If you or someone you know is suffering from symptoms and not being taken seriously please reach out to Dr. Winner and her team for a second opinion.
Dr. Winner is absolutely incredible. She has changed my life in ways I never imagined. I suffered for what felt like a lifetime from severe abdominal and vaginal pain. I was ignored and gaslit by countless doctors who refused to take my pain seriously. I saw two OBYGNs about my endo before seeing Dr. Winner. Due to the complexity of the anatomy and bowel adhesions, they both considered my surgery too “high risk” to perform. I was eventually referred to Dr. Winner.I had stage IV endometriosis and stage I uterine prolapse. I had extensive adhesions on my small and large bowel, pelvic wall, and appendix. The difficulty of my case exceeded that of a normal hysterectomy due to the complex anatomy. Assisted by Dr. Kretzer, Dr. Winner performed a total hysterectomy and excision of endometriosis. Dr. Tschirhart from General Surgery was called in mid-operation to perform my appendectomy due to adhesions on my appendix. My post-operative route become complicated when about 2 weeks post-op I developed an infection. I called the 24-hour nursing line around 11pm Friday night and Dr. Winner returned my call within minutes, directing me to the ER. She was at the ER to examine me first thing Saturday morning, and monitored my care remotely all weekend.Fast-forward 12 weeks later and I was finally healed and living my best life. I wish more people had access to providers like Dr. Winner. She is validating, a good listener, and is great at explaining complex issues to patients. Extra shout out to her staff. The staff and RNs responded very fast on MyChart and helped guide me through my post-op course. I am forever grateful to the entire team for what you have done for me and countless other women.
Self-advocacy is so very important, and not just relying on reviews, but your own in depth research to have the best and most accurate care provided to you by a medical team.I say this because I went through six different doctors, and five different practices (in two separate states) before a urologist here in WA suggested I have an ultrasound and MRI to determine why my uterus was so low with me never being pregnant before. There was terrible anemia, exhaustion, weight gain, and acute bladder retention, the biggest sign that something was wrong, and after all of the testing and shrugs by doctors, and I dont feel you need an MRI from my general provider, the urologist sent in for one, and I found out I had multiple and large fibroids that were pushing on my bladder. Then remembering that the women on my fathers side of the family experienced this and had surgeries, I knew surgery for me was coming but not which type of surgery Id want.I searched alternatives to hysterectomies, and learned about myomectomies. Then delving deeper, the types of myomectomies, and which surgeons in the area performed them. Which my insurance covered, and then even reading the medical qualifications, schools they attended, and the technologies they used. How frequent they performed the surgeries, how active they were in advocating minimally invasive surgeries, and found Dr. Winner to be the best out of them all.Past that, Dr. Winner and her team have been there every step of the way. She is concise and shows confidence in her work, which gave me confidence in knowing that Id be just fine through it all. And I was. I had no worries or fears about the upcoming laparoscopic myomectomy (other than is might be postponed due to a spike in COVID-19), with all of the information and conversations with Dr. Winner, her team, the anesthesiologists, and interactions with the medical facility as a whole.Dr. Winner and her team are excellent. I would certainly recommend her here and anywhere, because shes present and informed, never made me feel like I was stupid (as many other doctors had with their superiority/god complexes that still couldnt and didnt test for other causes for my issues), and she was there when I had questions after the surgery wanting to know what was normal and what wasnt for my specific issues. This was my first ever surgery, and a week post-operation I could tell the difference. I felt like I had years before, and realized I should have taken note of the changes I felt, and done something before it became a serious issue. If I ever need this surgery again, and I pray I dont, I would seek out this spectacular team again!!
Dr. Winner was very professional, caring and detailed. I felt very confident that my surgeries would be successful and they were. I appreciated the multiple touch points with her before and after the surgeries. I definitely recommend her if you need the procedures she provides.
I had a very large fibroid growing on the outside of my uterus and my doctor told me the way to remove it was to make a large incision across my abdomen and take it out (and my uterus, too!) As a middle-aged woman, I couldnt fathom the major impact to my body and long recovery time. I asked for a laparoscopic procedure, and my doctor smartly sent me to Dr. Winner. After reading about Dr. Winners specialty area and focused practice of performing total laparoscopic hysterectomies, and the helpful and educational posts on her Instagram, I was confident she could help me with a less invasive surgery. When I met Dr. Winner, I felt immediately at ease that this surgeon knows her stuff! She has performed hundreds of these complicated surgeries successfully. She thoroughly answered all of my questions and her team was super friendly and helpful. They made sure that I was completely relaxed in spite of finding this large fibroid situation and pending hysterectomy a little bit stressful.Fast forward to today, one month after my surgery -- I have two tiny marks that look like scratches and a cute belly button. There are a few dissolving stitches inside me still, but I have felt mostly normal since the second week after. Its magic how Dr. Winner and her team efficiently removed the large fibroid, uterus, fallopian tubes, and a little bit of endometriosis through those small ports! And through the surgical process, they thought of everything to keep me as comfortable as possible. Its amazing to me that I didnt even have to stay overnight at the hospital! As a patient, it was obvious through the entire process that Dr. Winner and her team were focused on creating a positive and healthy experience for me.Thank you Dr. Winner, and your amazing team (who all happened to be female!!), for making me feel less pain, more comfort, and for minimally impacting my life through the course of this journey! I wish everybody needing to have this procedure could have the same wonderful experience like I did.
Dr. Winner is amazing. After having female issues for over a year I was revered to her for a hysterectomy. I have had 5 previous surgeries and a mass amount of scar tissue so I was sent to the BEST of the BEST. My first appointment we discuss is common language what was going on with me. I was given my options and I choose hysterectomy. She provided a detailed explanation of the surgical process and healing timeline. We set a date and I choose Missouri Baptist (❤). Dr. Winner was the fabulous! Immediately after surgery I could barely see where the incisions were made. I did not feel tender in my belly area as I expected due to had massive scar tissue from prior surgeries. As far as surgical experiences go this has been my best experience with a surgeon and hospital. I highly recommend Dr. WINNER.
Dr Winner exceeded my expectations! 2 years ago I felt a lump on my uterus and after a journey of diagnosing what it was and finding out that it was a 14cm fibroid, my naturopathic physician/midwife shared with me that another patient of hers had great results with Dr. Winner. I had never had surgery and I was quite reluctant, I spent a year trying other methods to shrink it though nothing reduced the size. Dr. Winner performed a laparoscopic myomectomy (removed the14cm fibroid through my belly button) and everything went as planned. The care team at Swedish was amazing. I am 3 weeks post-op and feel great with minimal scarring. Dr Winner is concise and excels in her field of minimally invasive gynecologic surgery. You are sure to be in great hands.
Dr. Winner was highly recommended to me by my OB-GYN. Approaching menopause, I discovered last year that I had developed fibroids, which started causing extremely painful, long, heavy cycles. I was bleeding so much that I had to start taking iron supplements--and finally, I couldnt take it any more. After a consultation with Dr. Winner, I scheduled her to do a hysterectomy on me without removing my ovaries, so that my hormones can peter out on their own. She was amazing! Very knowledgeable, answered every single question, and very patient with my fiancees questions too. I was able to go home the same day after the surgery, and the recovery was very smooth. And scars? What scars? Theres barely a mark on me anywhere! Ive been overjoyed with no more pain or bleeding, and I just wish I had done it sooner. Ive recommended Dr. Winner to friends of mine who live in other cities, because if you need this surgery, shes worth traveling to Seattle for. If you live in Seattle, Dr. Winner is definitely the surgeon you want for this type of procedure.
When I tell you guys I loved Dr Winner from the first time I met her. She made feel at ease and really listened to my concerns. I was nervous about my hysterectomy(partial). But Dr Winner explained everything in detail and let me know step by step what was going to happen. My surgery went so good, all the staff treated very well and dont be afraid it will be the best decision you made.
Dr. Winner changed my life. She preformed minimally invasive laparoscopic fibroid, endometriosis and septum removal on me a few weeks ago. I had avoided getting my septate uterus and endometriosis officially diagnosed and surgically dealt with for years. Dr. Winner and her specialized techniques and procedures determined that I did in fact have endometriosis and fibroids along with having a septate uterus (having a septum inside your uterus).Dr. Winner and her team made sure I understood my options, that I was comfortable and was informed on what was going to be occurring during my surgery. The pain from my surgery was actually less painful than my monthly period! I didn’t even end up taking an narcotic pain meds during my recovery! While it has only been around 3 weeks since my surgery I can already tell I am in less pain now than I have been my entire reproductive years. I highly recommend Dr. Winner and her talented team.
Dr. Winner was amazing! I had really bad fibroid issues and she was able to provide me with the best solution for getting rid of them. Also, the staff at Dr. Winner’s office is amazing. They are so great with communicating with you and if you have questions they respond very quickly. I primarily interacted with her nurse Cindy and, I really can’t say enough good things about how great she was! If you are having any kind of fibroid issues or anything else that Dr. Winner specializes in, I would strongly suggest choosing her office for your care.
This is long, but if you are an endo patient this is important. I feel obligated to share my experience, in order to potentially save someone else from going through what I have endured in the last year. I had high hopes of being able to see Dr. Winner for excision of endometriosis, because she is a self proclaimed specialist. My first appointment with her was less than impressive. Like another patient mentioned in her review, Dr. Winner was not engaged at all and she was distracted. She asked me to tell her my endo story, while she doodled a picture of a uterus while I talked. I explained to her that I had a hysterectomy the year prior and my OBGYN didnt treat my endo. It was clear she was not paying attention, because when I was done talking she looked up and told me she recommended I have a hysterectomy. At which point, I told her I no longer had a uterus to remove. She then suggested an MRI to determine if I had any endometriosis that was detectable.I got the MRI and had a follow up appointment with her to review. I was hopeful that I caught Dr. Winner on a bad day with my first appointment, but the second appointment was similar to the first. She told me that my MRI was completely negative and it showed nothing. She said she would do surgery if I still wanted her to explore. I ended up switching to her partner Dr. Marrs for the surgery because I was not impressed with Dr Winners bedside manner. Unfortunately Dr. Winners partner also missed a lot of my endometriosis during surgery. Here is the most important part:I am a week out from recovering from surgery with an actual endometriosis specialist, whom I had to travel 6 hours round trip to see. He reviewed my MRI from Dr. Winner and saw a large abdominal wall mass, despite what Dr. Winner said. During my surgery he removed a very large endometriosis mass, which also required removing a large part of my muscle. It is alarming, as an endo patient, to be have someone who claims to be a specialist completely miss something so big. The toll that takes on someone mentally and physically, cannot be comprehended.
For years, I dealt with chronic fatigue and undiagnosed anemia as a result of uterine fibroids. After several conversations with Dr. Winner and an additional consult with a Urologist, it was clear that my quality of life would improve with surgical removal. I was still quite nervous, but the pre-operative care team was wonderful and the surgery was just as you would want it to be, successful and without any complications. Dr. Winner is clear, concise, and calming. She is a leader in the field and I recommend her without hesitation. Post surgery, I can report that the recovery was incredibly easy and the quality of life is far better than I had even hoped for. Thank you to Dr. Winner and her excellent Team!
Dr. Winner is a highly qualified surgeon. I had one large fibroid and many small ones, she managed to save the uterus. I had no pain after the operation. The recovery was quick. Thank her very much. I highly recommend this doctor if you have a goal to preserve the uterus.
Dr. Brooke Winner is a true gem. After months of struggling to find clarity and relief from multiple uterine fibroids and endometriosis, Dr. Winner put me at ease with her expertise, compassion, and patience. I am so incredibly impressed with her proficiency, and feeling great after a Laparoscopic Myomectomy. I can say with absolute conviction that I was heard and genuinely cared for throughout the entire process, prior to surgery and after. She was thorough in her approach and made sure I had all of the information I needed in order to find comfort and healing. Dr. Winner is a true champion for women’s health and highly recommended. Thank you, and your fantastic team, for a great experience. You’re changing women’s lives and it’s awesome!
I had a severe case of endometriosis, fibroids, extremely painful cycles and more which were severely affecting my quality of life. I didn’t know the full extent of my issues until after surgery....I was referred to Dr. Winner through my naturopath who was concerned about my continued symptoms after my first surgery with ablation of endometriosis and endometrioma removal in August 2017. I had a different surgeon at the time and wasnt ready for a hysterectomy. Unfortunately, there is always a risk that the symptoms and endometriosis would return and chose (then) to keep my uterus and ovaries- hoping cleaning the junk out would do the trick. My doctor referred me to Dr. Winners practice due to the nature of my previous health history and complex issues. A general OBGYN would not have had the expertise that Dr. Winner has with complicated female issues and surgical expertise. Her specialty focusing in high risk patients with complicated health histories was exactly what I needed to walk me through the steps of discovering exactly what was going on after my 2017 surgery with some testing and where my body stood in 2019. After the tests were performed, I was walked step by step verbally and visually (drawn diagrams) what was happening inside my body and what options I had to handle my health. Dr. Winner provided me with options and gave me the risks and rewards of all the options. I had my health plan set before my December 2019 surgery, and knew if the endometriosis had destroyed too much that a full removal was MY best option for recovery and a life with less pain and higher quality of life. From the moment I woke up after surgery I noticed a difference with less pain (and it wasnt just because of narcotics!). I was walking the hospital floor a few hours after surgery in less pain than during my cycles every month. The nurses even asked how my pain was since they were amazed at my mobility. I am a pain pansy, and to my delight, only needed about 24 hours of narcotics to manage pain. I was informed prior to surgery of my hormone options and after my full hysterectomy my symptoms were handled with Rx meds once I noticed I needed some hormone adjustments since medical menopause was setting in. Dr. Winner “reused” 3 old incisions from my previous laparoscopy- as not to further scar my belly. The recent incisions have healed so nicely and quickly directly over the old ones, and never had any issues with them from the laparoscopy. Im 8 weeks post op now and have had all my questions and needs addressed before and after surgery. Im so happy to be relieved of such pain on a consistent basis and looking forward to focusing my energy and efforts on other aspects of my life. Thank you, Dr. Winner, for helping me to have less pain and more freedom to focus on my life and family without constant pain.I had fibroids, endometriosis on both ovaries, endometriosis around my Fallopian tube and against my rectum, endometrioma inside my right ovary, and tissue encasing my left ovary to my pelvis. We just happened to be leaving the hospital floor to go home and Dr. Winner was entering the elevator at the same time to leave the hospital. She handed over the pictures taken during the surgery and said she could take the time right then to discuss how everything went and what happened. Since I was feeling pretty good and was interested in hearing what she had to say, we agreed and were taken to a conference room to informally discuss the surgery from a few hours earlier. I knew how much pain Id been in, but the pictures- of how badly the endometriosis and other issues were- were reassurance that I made the right choice. At 41, I wasn’t interested in another decade or more of constant pain hindering my quality of life. Dr. Winner was able to use her expertise in high risk surgeries to make my tricky surgery a great success. I highly recommend Dr. Winner to anyone with difficult female issues.
Dr. Brooke Winner has been such an amazing surgeon throughout my entire process I’ve had with her. She did an amazing job at my laparoscopic surgery and my incision sites will be barley noticeable once they finish healing. I knew the moment I met her that she was very caring and extremely knowledgeable about what she was talking about. She did not open the computer and took notes with a pen and piece of paper and that made me feel like there wasn’t a piece of technology in between us, it was old school and I appreciated that. I would highly recommend Dr. Winner for any gynecological surgery you are in need of. After many doctors appointments and feeling like I was crazy and nothing was wrong with me she validated all of my pain and connected with me. I would highly recommend her!
I recently had a laparoscopic myomectomy with Dr. Winner. I was very nervous initially to do the surgery. I did it in hopes of having another child one day, and I had some large fibroids that complicated my last pregnancy; under the advice of my OB-GYN, they wanted me to have them removed, and assured me that Dr. Winner was the best in Seattle for the job. I had six fibroids removed, the largest being 7 cm. I was in quite a bit of pain upon waking up after surgery, and the day after. Second day post surgery I felt much better and did not need narcotics/pain meds. I took Advil from there on and was able to move around more and more each day, even taking some walks - after a week I felt pretty good! I work from home and was able to be working with ease within 5 days. I was back in the Crossfit gym 4 weeks post op (taking it easy of course!), and have three small incision scars that were made on my stomach. Dr. Winner is warm and caring - her bedside manner is wonderful and reassuring. I wavered a few times on doing this, and had questions - if it wasnt an in-person appointment, she would call me personally. She even called me the day after surgery to see how I was doing. Finding a great doctor is fairly easy if you do your research - but finding one thats mastered their craft AND exhibits warmth and caring for their patients, thats not so easy! I highly recommend seeing Dr. Winner if youre thinking about minimally invasive fibroid removal. She is direct, honest, cares for her patients and is a highly skilled surgeon.
I was at a point in my Life where I had given up and accepted Chronic Pain as a part of me ! Endometriosis pain!My gyne however gave me a referral to Dr Winner a surgeon that specializes on Endometriosis . I waited ( by choice) several months before I could see her thinking to myself , Its just one more doctor in line, my pain continues. When I finally engaged Dr Winner virtually (due to Covid) I received attention to detail that I have not seen before. Several engagements and scans later, I had very minimally invasive surgery . The highlight for the surgery was when pre-op Dr Winner came and sat beside me explained the whole procedure again and what to expect with the healing process. She never rushed me to theater , she took the time to reassure me!Post up, Dr Winner ( Not her nurse or her team) personally called several times to check on my progress and continued to reassure me.It has been 1 month since my surgery and am well fully recovered . Pain free and awaiting continued recovery.Endometriosis should not be a pain sentence to us women, we should be pain free!Thank you Dr Winner and your team for your great care to free me from endometriosis pain.
Dr. Brooke Winner improved my quality of life with an astoundingly smooth laparoscopic hysterectomy for significant fibroids.I had two procedures to help my urinary issues, but it was my fibroids causing pressure on my bladder. Then, I went to a gynocologist who said she could not perform the laparoscopic surgery with the 3 fibroids I had. She referred me to Dr. Winner, and said, “If Dr. Winner can’t do it, no one can.”The day of the surgery, the IV in my hand was the most painful part. After two days of absolutely nothing but rest, I was able to slowly return to my work and activity (with restrictions).Dr. Winner has confidence and competence. I am so relieved to get back to myself! Thank you, Dr. W!
I had fibroids and a lot of menstrual pain and problems. Dr. Winner was the first gynecologist who really listened. I decided on a hysterectomy for my treatment and it was the best decision. I wish Id done it sooner. I had no pain almost immediately after surgery and recovery has gone very well. My scars are very minimal and are even fading only 2 months after my surgery. I highly recommend her.
Dr. Winner is an exceptional surgeon. I was very lucky to find her for my laparoscopic hysterectomy for a large fibroid. The surgery itself went smoothly despite a complication with the position of my fibroid that was discovered during surgery. My recovery was so much faster than I anticipated based on friends who have had similar procedures. This is surely a testament to the large volume of similar surgeries she has performed. Shes seen it all and knew just how to handle my complication. I am currently living in Northern Canada and had to travel to the States for health care, Dr. Winner and her staff were wonderfully helpful in scheduling and being available by phone for any questions or concerns prior to and following surgery. I highly recommend Dr. Winner.
I could not recommend Dr. Winner more!Dr. Winner performed a laparoscopic surgery for me earlier this month. It was a complicated procedure and thanks to her talent and experience, it was minimally invasive and my recovery was fast. If I had gone to a less experienced doctor, I know this would not have been the case. I faced a very intimidating health scare and she was the perfect doctor to work with. She explained the situation to me in a way I could easily understand it and she made sure I was cared for in the best way possible. I could not recommend her enough. Her expertise, her bedside manor, her follow up - she is a great surgeon and I am really lucky to have had her as my doctor!
It is pleasure to recommend Dr. Brooke Winner. She was patient to explain all pros and cons, very confident In her work and that eased concerns going in. Very inteligente woman. Here’s my story:It was about a year ago that I noticed that my periods started to get extra heavy and from a 5 day period it stretched out to 20-25 days a month bleeding, it didn’t really concern me since I took out my MIRENA earlier in the year with the hope that my husband and I could conceive. I also had really bad lower back pain. Honestly, I just thought it was my body adjusting. However, I finally decided to go to my doctor and that’s when we found out I had 3 fibroids. By the location of the fibroids she mentioned she could see why it was being difficult for me to become pregnant and also a fibroid was pressing against my uterus to which would explain my heavy and long bleedings. Originally, my OBGYN told me she could do the long incision across my belly or to shave down the fibroids. To shave it down didn’t really convince me because its a may or may not work for me situation and I really just preferred for them to be surgically removed. So, she said ok we will do the long incision and I was scared and thought to myself with technology now a day how have they not found something more simpler. I told her id think about and went home. Looked up on google the other options I had and it mentioned the myomectomy searched if there was anything in Seattle Washington and sure enough there was Dr. Brooke Winner. I just remember calling my OBGYN and telling her what I found and she quickly acknowledged that the clinic where Dr. Winner worked was one of the bests here in Washington, gave me really good vibes. Everything went fast by that time.Fast forward to September 25, 2020 I had my myomectomy surgery. Everything went by fast and smooth. Dr. Winner and her team are AMAZING!!!!!! I feel so lucky to have found her. I’m almost 3 weeks post surgery and I feel great. Minimal or hardly any pain which is great, and the small incision in my tummy are healing beautifully.Thank you thank you Dr. Winner! Thank you for changing my life as well as other woman’s!!
Dr. Winner is incredible and has changed my life. She was the first doctor who listened to my concerns and was able to provide a clear plan right away. I’m so thankful that people like Dr. Winner exist in this world. She is extremely confident and knowledgeable, and knows exactly what she is doing. I went to several different doctors before going to her about my heavy heavy bleeding and pain, and I was told each time that I would either have to live with the pain and excessive bleeding or I would need to remove my uterus. I’m relatively young and have not had kids yet, therefore it just wasn’t an option. I was having to take up to two bc pills a day at times along with an IUD to control the bleeding. My quality of life was severely effected by this… It was a really great thing that I did come in for surgery, because Dr.Winner found 11 fibroids and endometriosis. She was able to remove all of it, and I was able to heal quickly from surgery. I can’t thank Dr. Winner enough! She is an incredible doctor and an incredible human! She is a strong advocate for women’s health and the work she does is just amazing!
After seven years of dealing with severe endometriosis pain and getting ignored by multiple doctors, I decided to take matters into my own hands and found the best OBGYN in the Seattle area which is Dr. Winner. I got an appointment right away and the confidence she had about my condition and how she could fix it for me blew me away. I have never met a doctor that knew exactly what was causing me pain and wanted to fix it instead of just prescribing medications instead of addressing the real issue that was going on. I am incredibly grateful for her and her team for being so kind to me and making me feel valued in and out of the office. I felt heard for the first time. I had a minimally invasive laparoscopic surgery and recovered within a week. I highly recommend Dr. Winner and I will encourage all of my friends and family to see her.
Dr. Winner just performed by hysteroscopy & laparoscopic resection of a c-section scar defect/ectopic pregnancy. From our first consult (via zoom) she was incredibly decisive and present, explaining my complications clearly and answering every question we could think of. Nothing was off limits and no question was too small. Throughout the diagnosis time she was accessible and coordinated. Both she and her team communicated with my primary care doctors perfectly - everyone knew what was happening and it was a weight off my shoulders. The surgery experience was also very smooth. She explained everything many times in a reassuring manner. Her team was great and again, answered all my post-op questions thoughtfully and clearly. Im almost two weeks out and back to normal with some restrictions and feeling great.I really really really enjoyed having her as my doctor. I felt seen and heard at every appointment and felt very confident in the course of treatment she prescribed. If she was a primary care doctor I would sign up for her service in a heartbeat.
I was referred to Dr Winner by my obgyn as she specializes in minimally invasive laparoscopic hysterectomies for enlarged uterus and fibroids. I had 2 fairly large fibroids one pedunculated on top of my uterus and one in the lining of the uterus. My uterus was also very enlarged. I was originally diagnosed with the fibroids in 2012 which had made it difficult for me to have and to keep a pregnancy. Things were relatively dormant for several years then while on vacation in spring of 2021 I noticed I was really uncomfortable laying on my stomach as I could feel a large hard lump in my lower abdomen. I went to my ob when I returned and had an ultrasound. I was given a few options but given my age (42 at the time,) divorced and not planning on having kids at this point I decided that a hysterectomy would be the best choice. Given my circumstances my obgyn referred me to Dr. Winner. Once I had my referral in and an initial zoom consultation my surgery was scheduled for April of 2022. This was not ideal for me as I knew things were growing and changing but given the Covid hospital situation and the exact specialty surgeon waiting was the only option. Fast forward to February 2022 and I went for my pre surgery exam and was immediately told things have enlarged too much and I am no longer eligible for this surgery. I had a rushed ultrasound on my 43rd birthday and found out my fibroids had doubled in size and my uterus was now the size it should be at 20 weeks pregnant. The max size for this specific surgery is 16 weeks. I was devastated to say the least. My mom had had a fibroid tumor the size of a basketball and an emergency hysterectomy at my same age so I had known waiting would not be good. I was told I would have to go on lupron depot for 3 months (a chemo drug) to shrink things down to a size that surgery could be performed. I went back to my obgyn and asked to have a traditional hysterectomy and was told that those are booked out into fall and it would be faster for me to go through this treatment and have the surgery I was already scheduled to have. Lupron was awful I would not wish it on anyone I was dizzy all the time but it worked and on 6/17/2022 I finally had my surgery. It went smoothly and I ended up having quite a bit of endo that had to be removed as well as adenomyosis. I made sure to rest after surgery and took the full 6 weeks before going back to work. I am amazed at how minimal my scarring is. That was A LOT to have removed from a tiny cut in my belly button. Although it was a long process I couldnt be happier with the results. #minimallyinvasive #laproscopic #totallaproscopichysterectomy #fibroids #largefibroids #enlargeduterus #endometriosis #endowarrior #endoexcision
I had my procedure done @ Mo Bap, by Dr. Winner. Dr. Winner was very easy to talk to, she pretty much was answering my questions before I had a chance to ask. Talk about a doctor that knows her job very well. I wasnt sure about the choices I had, but after some one on one with her I was sold on my decision about which surgery to have. Dr. Winner made sure I was very comfortable with my decision. She made sure I was able to contact her when I had questions or concerns leading to the day of my surgery. I met Dr. Winner at the beginning of 2018, but I feel like Ive known her much longer. I must say if I had to go through this again I would choose Dr. Winner to do my surgery. Thank you Dr. Winner for being an amazing person as well as an amazing surgeon!!!!!Also thank you Mo Bap for having an Awesome staff!!!😍😍😍😍 and taking care of me when I needed it.....💕
I had a hysterectomy 3 months ago. Dr. Winner and her staff were amazing. I was so scared and they were all extremely patient. She called me personally more than once to answer my questions and never made me feel rushed at any of my appointments. As for the surgery, my healing time was crazy fast, minimal pain, and I keep telling everyone I cant believe I waited so long to have this done. I feel better than I have in a long long time. I highly recommend Dr. Winner. I trust her completely.
I was diagnosed with stage 4 Endometriosis post-laparoscopic surgery in 2017, after a severely infected Endometrioma cyst almost took my life. The Endo and cysts were removed during surgery in 2017. The pain I’ve had for 20 years of my life is debilitating and unbearable. Aside from surgery, I’ve been to the ER countless times with 10/10 pain, severe blood loss, anemia, fainting, and vomiting. Since 2017 the Endo came back even worse and I only had about 1 year of less pain. After an appointment with Dr. Winner, she helped me get an MRI, which confirmed the Endo was back everywhere. I also now had more Endometrioma cysts on both ovaries, other cysts, and a fibroid on my uterus. I was also diagnosed with Adenomyosis, which explains a lot of my symptoms.I had surgery with Dr. Winner in March 2022. Dr. Winner performed excision and removed all of the Endometriosis, Endometriomas, cysts, and the fibroid. Because I have stage 4 Endo all of my organs were stuck together. She freed my organs from the Endometriosis and removed it all. I am so thankful and relieved.Dr. Winner and her team are kind, professional, knowledgeable, and skilled. The entire process of surgery was smooth and every person who helped me was amazing, which lessened my anxiety. Since surgery the Endo adhesion pain is gone, my incisions are small and healing well. I am so thankful to Dr. Winner and her care team, and all the nurses who’ve answered my questions. If you’re considering having excision surgery with an expert in minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, I highly recommend Dr. Winner!
Dr. Winner was a constant professional who made me feel safe and comfortable with her after another surgery I had at Swedish. I felt completely at ease with her and no question was a dumb one. She made even my partner who is medically weary feel totally okay. She truly valued my time and while I hope to not need another surgery, I will miss being a patient of hers.
After years of debilitating pain, visits to so many specialists who all made me feel like everything was in my head, and nearly giving up on ever feeling like me again I was referred to Dr. Brooke Winner. I had also been diagnosed with fibromyalgia likely a result of the chronic pain from endo. I was in constant pain that was hard to explain and no one could see. When I turned up in her office I was a husk of myself. I was so very TIRED. My employer was giving me issues for endometriosis related absences, I had to change my degree path, and pass up internships. I was worn thin by others doubting my reality and of this doubt causing me to question my own experiences. I was also constantly dizzy and nauseous from the pain. I couldn’t even drive a car anymore and had resorted to slip-on shoes because bending over to even just tie my shoes was impossible.Dr. Winner acknowledged my concerns, she listened (actually listened), she provided options, she explained everything and made sure I understood. I did have to wait some time for a surgery appointment but let me tell you, it is worth it. During that time between my initial consult and my surgery appointment Dr. Winner and her support staff, especially Nurse Cindy, were so extremely helpful. They helped me navigate pharmacy issues and answered all my questions. The time went by quick because I felt so very supported. This quick response time and support continued post-surgery.I am now three months post-op and feel like I have been given my life back. My abdominal pain had gotten so bad that I could no longer cuddle with my partner or my pets. Even just the weight of my 6 lbs chihuahua on my belly was too much to handle. Now that I have had and healed from my hysterectomy I can show affections to my family again without flinching away from anticipated pain. I am re-learning what I can do without pain and it is amazing. At the end of 2021 I was barely able to walk a block without doubling over in pain. Now on my first hike post-surgery I could not believe I was 100% pain free. My partner said, “You’re like a whole new person.”I am eternally grateful to Dr. Winner and her team for helping me find my way again through minimally invasive gynecological surgery. I do not know where I would be without them.💚🌈 as I write this my pittie, my chi, and my cat are all sharing my belly. They are thankful too 🐕 🐈
Dr. Winner is a master surgeon! It is really important for women to know, especially when they are told their uterus is too big for minimally invasive that what is too big for one surgeon is not necessarily too big for another. I learned with Dr. Winner that almost all hysterectomy can be done minimally invasively safely in the hands of a high- volume surgeon and Dr. Winner is for sure one of them! Her skills/experience speaks louder!
Dr. Winner recently did a surgery for me and I cant recommend anyone more highly than her. Shes the most personal, understanding, patient and thorough surgeon Ive ever had (unfortunately have had quite A few) she made me feel more comfortable and confident than I ever have before going into surgery and she really gave me a chance at a new life once Im completely healed up! Im so BEYOND thankful to her and her entire team and staff they are all truly amazing people 🖤
I came to Dr. Winner with possible stage 1 endometriosis looking for a professional surgeon that I could trust with such a hard to diagnose condition while in quality of life debilitating pain. I made the decision to go for the total hysterectomy and have had 3 glorious pain free months that I forgot could ever exist. I am convinced that had I not sought out her Specialized expertise, that the small and inconclusive parts that gave me so much pain could have been easily missed by another doctor. 10/10 would recommend.
I was referred to Dr. Winner after years of issues with fibroids. It was the first time I felt hope with the situation and even though it meant another surgery, I was completely confident in Dr. Winners diagnosis. Any surgery is nerve wracking however, Dr. Winner made sure I was completely at ease and went through all options with me. Im so thankful I was referred to her, I just wish it had been years ago. I would highly recommend Dr. Winner to anyone especially if your situation is a little more complex.
Dr. Winner was just the surgeon I needed for my laporascopic myomectomy. She is highly skilled and a well respected surgeon in this field. I was honestly really nervous about proceeding with this surgery because I had family building plans underway (IVF treatment) shortly after recovery. Fast forward 9 months post surgery, my IVF treatment was successful and I am now expecting. Healthy pregnancy, into 3rd trimester and thankfully no issues post surgery. So very grateful for this doc and her awesome team. You are the best 🙏🏽!!!
I had surgery with Dr. Winner on Feb 27th and I cannot explain enough how wonderful my experience was. Based on her reviews, I decided to call their office and schedule a consultation. Surprisingly I was able to get in pretty quickly. Everyone who works in her office are to be commended for not only their professionalism but also their kind and compassionate way of dealing with their patients. I went into my appt, knowing that the outcome would be me having to be scheduled for hysterectomy surgery because of past issues. Knowing that I live 2 1/2 hrs away from Seattle, Dr. Winner and her staff made sure to get everything they needed, blood work, scans and biopsy on the same day!!!! Just impressive and considerate. From that point forward, my experience just went up from there. Surgery went great and fortunately I was able to get my hysterectomy done pre-covid. My post appts, understandably, had to be virtual but healing so far has gone well. You won’t be disappointed with booking with Dr. Winner. I think her name says it all! (Pun intended) :)
Dr. Winner is so knowledgeable and validating. I am so thankful to have found her. My surgery truly changed my pain level for the better. She is a wonderful and caring doctor!
I am so thankful to Dr. Winner!! A large fibroid had completely taken over my uterus, causing cramps, pinching, and back pain, and was crushing my bladder. My uterus was twenty times the normal size. She was able to remove the fibroid/uterus/fallopian tubes/ and ovaries by laparoscopic surgery. This meant no hospital stay, and a quicker recovery time. I feel like a new person. Thank you, Dr. Winner!
I found Dr.Winner after seeing 2 OBGYNs (one abroad, one here) that told me the only way to remove my fibroid was to perform an open myomectomy/bikini cut. So Dr.Winner was not my second, but third opinion doctor. And I’m beyond happy to have found her!During our initial consult, Dr.Winner walked me through all the options and told me that my fibroid could be removed via laparoscopic myomectomy! The surgery only took about 2 hours. During the surgery, Dr.Winner also found endometriosis (which I didn’t even know about!) and removed it as well. So now I’m rid of fibroid and endometriosis, with minimal trauma and pain, and back to my life after a short recovery time!To all the women out there, please reach out to a minimally invasive gynecologic surgeon instead of your regular OBGYN; their skillset is so different when it comes to performing surgeries. Dr.Winner’s expertise with laparoscopic surgery is unparalled. If I have a similar issue in the future again (hopefully not!!!), I will directly go to Dr.Winner and noone else.
First things first, Dr. Winner is an amazing surgeon. If you’re here on The Googles because your periods are awful or you have post-ablation syndrome or you have fibroids and either want to preserve your fertility or have a hysterectomy, you have come to the right place. If you’ve been jerked around by a predominately male medical establishment who you don’t feel has taken your gynecological concerns seriously, you are in the right place.I have been dealing with a host of gynecological issues since 2005. First it was super painful periods that turned out to be endometriosis. I tried the pill (fat, greasy, and crazy is no way to live), endometrial laparoscopy, Lupron after that (just NO, it’s awful), the Mirena IUD (that failed). I really wanted a hysterectomy then but told I was too young and that I might change my mind about children. Dude docs: when a woman in her almost mid-30’s tells you no kids, she has thought about it, trust me.Things eventually calmed down a bit but I noticed over time my periods getting heavier and heavier—like go through an ultra tampon and a pad and put up crime scene tape heavy. The OB/GYN I went to recommended an endometrial ablation, which sounded great and since my periods were making me anemic in addition to the pain, I would have said yes to just about anything. The procedure went well but…Over the years my periods, even though the flow was minimal, the pain had ratcheted back up almost to 2005 levels. Not good but we carry on. When I was in the ER for something else in 2019, a bagel-sized cyst was discovered that was taking over my left ovary. I had that removed and came very close to getting a hysterectomy then but didn’t. I’m glad I waited, because while that surgeon was very good, she was no Dr. Winner. She actually referred me to Dr. Winner when I was ready, saying she would let Dr. Winner operate on her.Still with me? Good. The surgery itself went off without a hitch on 12/3/202, and as far as recovery, well, I have had worse periods. I only needed the narcotics for a couple days after and the rest was handled nicely by Tylenol. The only thing I can’t do right now is lift anything over 10 pounds and go swimming (with the temps and covid, no great loss right now).If any of this resonates with you, call Dr. Winner’s office right now. I guarantee you will be in the right place. Finally.
It is a pleasure to highly recommend Dr. Brooke Winner for minimally invasive GYN services. I recently was diagnosed with multiple fibroids tumors in and on my uterus. In the opinion of several physicians the tumors could not be removed laparoscopically due to the size. I was referred to the Barnes-Jewish Center for Outpatient Health Obstetrics and Gynecology clinic. Ultimately I received care from Dr. Winner.Dr. Winter was very thorough with her examination and explanation of my various options. I was extremely appreciative of the collaborative approach that she took with my treatment. I ultimately choose the hysterectomy option and Dr. Winner was supportive and explained all of the options. Her bed side manner and professional behavior is consistent with her treatment philosophy. Dr. Winner is very serious and sincere about transforming womens health care. My quality of life matters and more importantly Dr. Winner thought so as well. Needless to say, I was very pleased with the outcome and the service that I received
Two weeks out of surgery and doing great! Dr. Winner was highly recommended by my beloved OBGYN who said, “Dr. Winner is the ONLY person I’d allow to do this surgery for you.” After 2 c-sections, the procedure was complicated and I am so very grateful I chose Dr. Winner to perform it. Was greatly reassured by Dr. Winner’s expertise and extra surgical certification. She’s the loveliest person also—great bedside manner. Highly recommend without reservation!
During a consultation with another gynecologist, I was told that my only option to treat my suspected endometriosis was a hysterectomy, and removal of any additional tissue would not be necessary. Being only 34 at the time, that didnt feel right to me. Im so glad that I was able to find Dr Winner and seek her opinion. She answered all my questions and provided a wealth of information during our consultation. She was able to remove my endometriosis laparoscopically. After 15 years of horrible pain, I am finally feeling relief and getting back to living my life. I will be forever grateful. This surgery was life changing for me.
Dr. Winner did a great job with my hysterectomy. Im so glad my regular OB/GYN referred me to Dr. Winner. Dr. Winner performs over 300 minimally invasive hysterectomies each year! (I guess the average OB/GYN only performs 10-12 each year.) Anyway, I had a huge fibroid and endometriosis. Dr. Winner did such a great job and she really listened to me. I wanted to keep my ovaries, and she was able to save one of them. When it comes to having a huge surgery like this, every woman should trust a minimally invasive gynecologist like Dr. Winner to do their surgery because these specialists practice more. Lets face it - practice makes perfect. I was walking on the treadmill 2 days after my surgery and back to work 1.5 weeks after my surgery. I couldnt ask for a better result or surgeon.
I struggled to get help for endometriosis for almost ten years and I believed it was futile, until I met Dr. Brook Winner. She removed stage 2 endometriosis that had spread throughout my pelvis. I thought I’d never see the day, but I can finally move on with my life and heal. Thank you Dr. Winner
I feel very lucky to have found Dr. Winner. What I found special is that she explains everything very clearly. Sometimes if you dont ask the right questions you dont receive the right answers, and sometimes you dont even know what are the right questions to ask. Dr. Winner -- in addition to being an amazing doctor and surgeon -- is an excellent communicator. She concisely explained everything and explored alternatives before committing to a choice of treatment. She performed additional tests to ensure that we chose the right treatment. Before seeing Dr. Winner, I was told that abdominal surgery was my only choice. Through her, I learned that laparoscopic surgery was actually an option; my surgery and recovery went well.I would strongly recommend Dr. Winner to my family and friends.
Dr. Winner and her team are amazing. I was referred to her by my GYN doctor in Alaska as I’m high risk due to a clotting disorder. Needless to say, I was very scared about having a hysterectomy, as it’s a major surgery but also with my extra risks. As soon as I met Dr. Winner, I knew I was in the best hands. She was very thorough and answered all of my questions and let me know what my options were. Follow up care was just as good. She cares about her patients and takes pride in helping people, that was very clear. Her and her team made sure to check in with me even after I went home to Alaska. I cannot say it enough, she is very educated, good at what she does, compassionate and by far the best. I will always recommend her for any woman with gynecology needs.
Dr. Winner was my surgeon in Nov. 2019, she was the first surgeon/doctor to actually seem to care and answer all my questions about Endometriosis and make me feel heard. I had asked for a second opinion after my gyno didn’t believe I needed a second surgery and was suffering so badly In pain. Dr. Winner sat and talked me through all my concerns. And since my second surgery I have felt way way better. She preformed my second endometriosis removal surgery, and it went great, she tested what she found and actually diagnosed me with endo since my last surgeon failed to do so and just diagnosed me did not send in my tissues to be examined, and essentially just brushed me off. Although she didn’t end up removing a lot she did find a weird benign tumor thing in there that she thinks could have been giving me pin but we don’t fully know. I LOVE HER. She’s the BEST. And she keeps me continuously informed on her Instagram. I appreciate the time she took for me. And I highly recommend her.
I am almost in tears writing this review. The expertise and precision is only second to the care and bedside manner of such a talented, world class surgeon. I have been suffering from endometriosis since the age of 19 (diagnosis took 6 years). I can say, without a doubt, that I am in virtually no pain after my surgery in May with Dr. Winner. My first surgery made me a bit of a skeptic, lending me little to no relief from pain of stage 3-4 endo (ablation). Dr. Winner is thorough, and also kind, speaking to you as a human not just a patient. As many endo warriors will know, excision is KEY. While I did have a hydrosalpinx and have to get my Fallopian tube removed, my recovery was almost completely smooth and not dissimilar to my first surgery despite the greater extent. Note; please do not push it 😉 do yourself the favor. I have already been referring friends or women in my network with fribroids or endo to Dr. Winner. Do yourself the favor of getting her opinion. Top notch care, out of this world surgeon, and amazingly inspiring master of her craft.
I traveled from Alaska to have surgery with Dr. Winner. She and her team are very professional and helped me get the surgery I needed scheduled via distance and not even being an established patient. She was great in explaining the procedure and what to expect when I met her in person. She is so experienced with surgeries that I was very confidant in her performance and came out with very little pain and I was able to return to my normal activities quickly. Her nurse Alison is a rockstar and answered every question I had! Thank you both for making it so easy for me.
I recently had surgery with Dr. Winner to remove two very large endometriomas from my ovaries. I have Stage IV endometriosis which was diagnosed in 2012. In 2018, I discovered that the cyst had returned and I now had one on each ovary. My previous OBGYN had retired, so I was in search of a new one to help treat my endometriomas. I decided to do some research online for OBGYNs in the Pacific Northwest who were experts in endometriosis. I spent approximately five hours searching online until I finally found Dr. Winner. Not only is she an expert in removing endometriomas, but her focus is primarily in gynecological surgery. I was excited to speak with someone who had recent knowledge and training on endometriosis - something that has been very rare in my experience. When I met with Dr. Winner, it was immediately clear that she is incredibly knowledgeable about my condition and she is very passionate about what she does. I had very specific questions about what the risks would be for me, and how it could affect my body and decisions in the future. She even referred me to another doctor who could answer the questions that were outside of her expertise, and she took the time to brief the other doctor before I went to my appointment. Dr. Winner also ordered MRI imaging of my ovaries - a new protocol that allowed her to check if the endometriomas were compromising my other organs (in my case, they were not). I knew I would be in good hands with Dr. Winner, so I decided to move forward with the surgery.Instead of being terrified before my surgery, I was excited. I knew that I was in good hands with Dr. Winner, and that I would finally be rid of these cysts that were causing pain every day. Dr. Winner and her staff (as well as the staff at Swedish First Hill) were incredibly kind, patient, and answered all of my questions. My biggest concern was that I would lose one or both of my ovaries during this procedure. I was also worried about how much endometriosis would be found outside of my ovaries, and if my Fallopian tubes were blocked. I woke up with both of my ovaries in tact, my small amounts of endometriosis were removed, and my Fallopian tubes were clear. If you are struggling with pelvic pain or if you have endometriosis and you are thinking about having surgery, I would not hesitate to recommend Dr. Winner. Even if you have a current OBGYN, I would still recommend talking to Dr. Winner about your specific concerns. She will give you an honest, well-informed answer. I am so glad I advocated for myself and searched for a third opinion. I can’t thank her enough.
Dr. Brooke Winner MD operated on my wife January2020. My Wife was at her wits end, she had been struggling for many years specially the last two years before her operation. There were over a dozen doctors that could not find any problems and told my wife that every symptom and issue was “normal”! After meeting with Dr. Brooke Winner, we noticed the instant professionalism, concern and compassion towards the situation. We truly appreciate what you she done in our lives; we are now proud parents of a beautiful princess after over 10 years of trying. Thank you soooooo much!!! Dr. Brooke Winner is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!
I had my consultation with Dr. Winner, and I was so pleased with the appointment. I felt listen too and heard for the 1st time in years. I went into the appointment knowing exactly what I wanted, a hysterectomy, and that’s the plan. She laid out all the options but ultimately I was in the driver seat. She was open and honest with me about my weight and how she would like me to lose some weight before she will feel comfortable operating on me, but she did so in a in a kind, non-judgemental way. I will be working with my PCP on weight loss goals and am so looking forward to the day, you operate on me. As someone who has struggled with health issues and weight issues her entire life, it felt amazing to finally be heard and taken seriously. Brooke, thank you for that. ♥️
Great docDr Winner was awesome throughout our journey. She was the only one who confirmed that she can perform this surgery laparoscopically while others ruled it out due to large size fibroids. She was patient to explain all pros and cons, very confident In her work and that eased concerns going in.I’d recommend her to anyone for laparoscopic surgery of fibroids and in general to seek second opinions too!
Dr. Winner brought me back to life. I had 7 fibroids that have caused me the most pain I’ve been in for months and a period that last 3 months. She explained everything well and provided me different options. I decided the best for me were to get these horrible fibroids removed. I had a laparoscopic myomectomy best decision I made. Feeling like a brand new woman again...4 weeks later pain free and very little scaring. You can’t even see where the incision are. Soooo happy i was referred to her from evergreen medical ob. Thank you Dr. Winner you are an saving angel!
Basically, I have been living a life with unexpected menstrual issues for a very long time. It conflicted with work, vacations and pretty much any moment you cant need it to. This was not an inconvenience but a life altering situation. I went through many doctors to find Dr. Winner and she is THE BEST. I have lived almost my entire adult life feeling hopeless about never having the chance to feel okay and from day one I felt so taken care of and HEARD. Her entire staff has been beyond amazing, answering every question I had and so compassionate. Dr. Winner also kept in touch with my husband throughout surgery which was a huge relief to us. I could not recommend her more. She is an amazing surgeon and she literally changed our lives in a way I didnt think possible.. Thank you Dr. Winner!
I was referred to Dr. Winner by Dr. Morrell at Evergreen Hospital for suspected endometriosis. Dr. Winner took on my case, clearly explaining the process for the laparoscopy and excision of the endo. After scheduling the surgery, I met with her in person for pre-op. Dr. Winner left an impression of confident assurance in her surgical skills, while facing the reality of endo, as its root cause remains to be seen by medical researchers(no singular explanation for endo - I was told by my GP that its likely a case by case basis). The day of the surgery was a breeze, with kind, professional medical staff. I got to speak with Dr. Winner once more before surgery, confirming the goals of the operation and clarifying the likelihood of the outcome, based on my ultrasound imaging(BTW - Seattle Ultrasound was phenomenal - recommended by Dr. Winner).Endo is scary business. In my case, I have stage 4 and with the goal in mind of preserving my fertility. The excision surgery could of gone in one of many ways, but Dr. Winner never gave me the impression of hope lost. After the surgery, I was provided with imaging of the extent of my endo, along with very detailed notes for recovery. She followed up with me a few days after surgery and then again a few weeks later.Overall, I am doing great with very minimal scarring, and a quick healing process. Dr. Winners surgical expertise removed the endo while leaving my reproductive system intact. My husband and I are now excitedly planning for starting a family in a few days.Heres the bottom line: if you have endo, please at least consult with an endo gynecological surgical specialist, such as Dr, Winner. Endo is scary business, and consulting with someone who performs this surgery every day will likely offer you clarity and insight that a gyno who performs this surgery once a month cannot. A good benchmark I found is that if the Dr you consult with tries to explain away your endo with casual observations about your lifestyle or physical attributes, they likely dont really know what they are talking about.EDIT: 3 months after surgery, we had a positive pregnancy test and we got to meet him a few weeks ago! Thank you Dr. Winner for all of your hard work so my husband and I could get to meet the love of our lives.
Dr. Winner is simply put, an expert at what she does. I wish Id been able to see her when I was first diagnosed with endo, I likely wouldnt have gone through as much as I did back then. Ten years later and I was still experiencing symptoms, turns out they were caused by something different, but she still took care of it! Just about three weeks out now and Im feeling significantly better in many ways. COVID resulted in me having to wait three months longer than originally scheduled, but it was definitely worth the wait to have Dr. Winner as my surgeon.
Dr. Brooke Winner is a rock-star! I was referred to her by my PCP due to my age (41), null pregnancies, and size of tumor. Of course I googled Dr. Winner prior to my first office visit. When I met her in person she exceeded my expectations. Dr. Winner immediately put me at ease, she did not attempt to dumb down the information, but presented the information in a way that was informative and thorough, very thorough! I recall her saying that she didnt want to assume that I had already received the information. I was so impressed with my visit, I made an appointment for my hysterectomy prior to leaving her office the same day.I had my surgery at Mo Bap ; I highly recommend this facility. At both my pre-op visit and the day of the surgery I felt completely at ease. Dr. Winner was the last person to meet with me prior to surgery. I remember complementing her on the bag she was carrying. Her resident was the first person to visit me (that I recall) after my surgery and saw me again prior to my release. Dr. Winner checked on me during my hospital stay as well, didnt expect to see her again until I was to be released. On her initial visit, again was very thorough, checking the charts, bandages, and compression socks. She literally checked everything that was connected to me. The following day prior to being released she checked my incision sites and talked me through what to expect.I cant say enough about Dr. Winner...outstanding!
Dr. Brooke Winner should be the first person you see for any type of gynecological issues! She is professional, kind and explains everything in an easy to understand way.The procedures she ended up performing - All laparoscopically were:-Ovarian cystectomy (Dermoid)- Myomectomy (Uterine Fibroid)-Excision of endometriosis-Hysteroscopic removal of IUDIn the past Ive also had a laparotomy to remove my right ovary with another surgeon and my recovery this time around was so much quicker.1 night in the hospital and back to work within a couple days vs 4 nights and a month recovery. Not to mention laparoscopic barely scars vs laparotomy left me with a 4inch vertical incision !If you have any gynecological issues you should definitely consider laparoscopic and see Dr. Winner! I am eternally grateful for everything she has done and after months of chronic pain I am finally pain free!
I wish I could give more than FIVE STARS! I’m honestly so glad that my gynecologist sent me to Dr. Winner. My gynecologist already knew that I was miserable and she knew that I was very hesitant because, I am fairly new to Washington and finding all new doctors was a little bit nerve wrecking. Her words “I would not send you to Dr. Winner - if I did not think you would be in good hands and get the best possible care”. I called her office and from that very first phone call the my last appointment was honestly so amazing. Not once was I judged and everyone was truly caring and amazing, especially with a big decision that I was making... Dr. Winner kept me informed on what she would do and how she would do and even drew cute little pictures, which I thought was awesome. She wanted to make sure you fully understand what is going on which I personally think is amazing.. I’ve had surgeries before and never had a surgeon go into so much detail as she did.. One thing that still blows me away is that she personally calls and checks on you after surgery and if you have any issues or concerns durning recovery.. I’ve never had a doctor or surgeon do this, I know she is super busy BUT she makes the time to make sure you are taken care of and get the best possible care.. My surgery went well and honestly I thought I was going to be in A LOT more pain that what I actually was. I am so happy to say that I healed much faster then I expected and you can not see the scars from the procedure.. I would just like to say she cares about her patients to the T... At my last follow up appointment I was feeling really off and did nothing feel good.. She did not brush it off at and was genuinely worried and she got me the help that I need at that moment and I will be forever grateful for that... Thank you for everything you do and advocating for women’s health :)
Dr. Winner is an excellent doctor and surgeon. She really takes the time to explain everything to me and answer all my questions. I really appreciated all the time she spent talking to me and felt confident in having the surgery and knew what to expect with my recovery. I would highly recommend Dr. Winner!
I was scheduled for a telemedicine visit today with Dr. Winner and she never showed up to the appointment. I am not only a patient but a physician as well and I have never been treated so poorly by a physician before. She never entered the zoom meeting and no one called me from her office to let me know that there have been technical difficulties. I also never received any message or email that Dr. Winner could not join the meeting. As a physician, I always make sure to call patients myself when that is happening or ask my staff to call the patient and let them know that I will be with them shortly. But never received a phone call from Dr. Winner or her ancillary staff. The only time I received a phone call from her office, was few hours later when I posted the review. I originally had an appointment with Dr. Winner in February 2022 that was cancelled few days prior to that appointment. So, I have been patiently waiting for that appointment, that never happened. She did not even have the courtesy to apologize personally to me, but rather had someone from her office to call me and apologize for not showing up to my appointment.
Dr. Brooke Winner is very skilled and excellent surgeon. I had my procedure done three weeks ago and had no problems with recovery. Going into the surgery I was very nervious but Dr. Winners thorough explanation of the procedure and excellent reviews from her past patients put me at ease. I was amazed at how smooth everything went during the surgery. Dr. Winner was awesome! I cant recommend her enough!!!
I have had absolutely miserable periods since the beginning that only got worse with age. I received no real help with my doctors back in Louisiana because everyone only wanted to put me birth control. It’s a one size fits all approach that I didn’t appreciate. I suffered a major health issue that complicated my situation. I do not take blood so my normal obgyn wouldn’t touch me. I found Dr.Winner on Instagram and had made up my mind before my medical emergency that she would be my doctor. I regret nothing!!!! Dr. Winner knows her stuff backwards and forwards and I felt like I was really heard. I had MASSIVE fibroids that made it hard to even breath at times. I feel so much better. I can’t thank her enough and what she is doing for us ladies. Her and her associates are phenomenal. If you’re needing a specialist look no further then her practice.
After seeking advice from three OB-GYN, I found my doctor. Dr. Winner was the true advocate for my reproductive health! I just had a 11 cm fibroid (like the size of a bagel) removed by her laparoscopically. My post-operation pain was minimal, and my recovery has been on track. I highly recommend her to anyone for all women’s health issues.
I had a great experience with Dr. Winner. Ahead of my procedure, she always took the time to answer my questions, checked on me often and was very responsive to concerns I had while waiting for surgery. My procedure went smoothly and my recovery was much easier than I expected. I felt very confident in Dr. Winners skills throughout my experience.
I was referred to Dr. Winner when my Obgyn saw my endometriosis was back. I initially had a surgery just an year ago where one of my fallopian tube was removed. I was again diagnosed with endometriosis with the largest cyst being 9 cm. I was experiencing heavy, painful and prolonged bleeding. My Obgyn said she would be more comfortable if Dr.Winner did the surgery over her due to her skills and I couldnt agree more, I am so glad I was referred to her. Dr.Winner has been super thorough and explained everything in detail to me which put me at ease.I would highly recommend Dr. Winner.
Thank you so much Dr. Winner. Before my lap surgery, I had horrible pain, including daily bladder pain.No doctor would give me surgery. I was on Orilissa which caused side effects, then put on a medication I didnt want to be on, told them it caused me side effects, was told that was not possible - well the gabapentin made me gain 50lb in a few months, bed ridden, and my overly perky adhd self became suicidal and bed ridden for months! In comes Dr. Winner to save the day!A childhood friend just gotten surgery from her and referred me.I was so greatful. Dr. Winner removed clear endometriosis and a lil fibroid named James. The day after surgery I could walk, laugh, help cook, and this 24/7 pain in my bladder was gone. Also, with Dr. Winner it encouraged me to find new health care. Things were not all in my head (thanks U.W.) gastroparesis and a rare condition HypoParaThyroid were found.Thank you thank you thank you!
After years of seeking answers to my period pain and multiple failed fertility treatments I decided to get a second opinion from Dr. Winner, who after reviewing my medical history and an MRI discovered that the issues I was experiencing were greater than I was told in the past. I choose to have surgery and my quality of life is amazing. I highly recommend her.
Dr. Winner is an excellent surgeon! She breaks everything down in laymans terms and the recovery time after my myomectomy was 3 weeks with minimal to no pain! Dr. Winner is thorough and was available for any questions or concerns I had. I highly recommend!
I was experiencing heavy menstrual bleeding (HMB) for a number of years and more recently, developed anemia. Luckily, I found Dr. Brooke Winner, who specializes in minimally invasive gynecologic surgeries in the Seattle area. She was able to quickly find the cause of my symptoms, fibroids and endometriosis, and treat it with both iron infusions, myomectomy and endometriosis laparoscopic surgery. Her team counseled me leading up to the surgery and took great care of me during and after. I highly recommend Dr. Winner.
Dr Winner saved my life. Ive been struggling for years trying to find out what was wrong with me. I suffered from heavy periods & cramps every month to where I just couldnt do anything or go anywhere at my time of the month. My pain was so severe I couldnt walk. I had blood clots and period would last me weeks. I just knew something wasnt right with me. Went to several ObGyns and I was always told the same that I was fine and that its just menstrual cramps. Even went to my primary doctor and explained to him that I think I have endometriosis & he basically laughed & said Im crazy and that my symptoms were just normal. I was so desperate to find someone that can help me.I finally did a google search for doctors in Seattle (which is about an hour away from) for endometriosis & came across Dr Winner. I read reviews and finally decided to try and get a referral to see her. Luckily for me my insurance didnt require a referral to see a OBGYN specialist. First appointment w/ Dr Winner, I explained everything to her and let me tell you that I was beyond happy to finally talk to someone who already knows what I was going through. She told me she will schedule an ultrasound & X-rays. Results came back and sure enough I wasnt the crazy person I was told I was trying to seek help. I was diagnosed w/ endometriosis, endometrioma & also have PCOS.Im currently 4 weeks post Op and I feel amazing than Ive ever been. My surgery went quick as well as recovery. Dr Winner definitely knows her stuff. I was able to drive a few days after my surgery. I totally recommend her to anyone w/ endometriosis seeking help.Dr Winner, I cant thank you enough for making me feel better again. I am beyond blessed to have found you. You made me feel whole again. Thank you so much and I mean it from the bottom of my heart.
I was at work and a coworker was telling me about a great ob/gyn doctor. Her name is Dr. Winner and she is an amazing doctor made a appointment was having some issues and it was well overdue for my annual checkup. Of course my doctor appointment was on Election Day. But Dr. Winner was very nice and very concern about her patients. Went to the lab found out my blood count was really low it was a 4 and suppose to be at a 14. At once Dr.Winner contacted me later that day stated that it was low and that I needed a blood transfusion. Went to the er the same day no work for me. Went back to Dr. Winners office after transfusion, ultrasound, and more blood test. On the ultrasound she found fibroid tumors just a she stated. So at first I was kinda worried about having a hysterectomy at 44 but it was for my health I was slowly dying with a blood count that low. Fast forward to surgery I had my surgery at Missouri Baptist hospital I pick this hospital because the doctors and nurses are awesome just like dr.winner. I met everyone who was going to be in that surgery room with me. I love Dr. Winner and she makes you feel very comfortable talking to her a lot of people dont like talking to there doctor but Dr.Winner listen. Ive been living with this for 40 years and all the past doctors never took the time to tell me why I had this issue but she did and I very happy with her the surgery her staff at the office theses people really care about you. So I would like to thank Dr Winner and her staff for a job well done.Kytina Morrow
I have known Dr. Winner for over 10 years, from the start of her journey in her career to the present. She is one of the best Minimally invasive surgeons I have worked with training along side Dr. Scott Biest. I have also been a patient of Dr. Winners and love the staff. She is always on time, very knowledgeable and informative of anything she is going to do. She is very compassionate, very personable and takes time with answering questions and makes sure you are comfortable with what she is going to do as well understands any procedures she is going to perform.
I had one of the biggest fibrosis according to dr winner,More than 3 years ago I started feeling severe pain that no one knew what it was, and I’ve been in and out of the hospital and my whole body aches and no one knew what the problem was, so I dealt with the pain and medicine until I said enough is enough and that’s when I met Dr. Winner. I’ve had so many appointments with her and I was patient the entire time, until day of surgery. After the operation was done, it felt like I lost 100 pounds and it felt like I was a newborn baby. Ive never felt so relieved in my life. Thank you Dr. Brooke WinnerSincerely, Wasan
My beloved and I had set our New Years intention to decide this year whether we wanted to try and have kids. By spring, wed learned that the Universe had decided for us that we werent going to be biological parents as I needed to have my womb, along with the one HUGE (19cm) fibroid and the too numerous to count little ones, removed. This news was devastating and Im thankful my naturopath had recommended Dr. Winner to me to have the surgery. The news and the loss of my womb was devastating enough. Had I gone through a majorly invasive surgery as well (with the old-fashioned giant incision), I think the entire ordeal would have essentially wiped me out. Having Dr. Winner do the procedure, I not only had the advantage of having everything removed laparoscopically, so that the recovery process was much easier and I was able to focus on the psychological and spiritual healing that needed to happen as well, I also had an absolute EXPERT in her specialized field taking care of me.At all times, I felt fully informed of what was happening, what was going to happen, and/or what did happen; I felt confident that I was in the best hands to care for and heal my body in the way it needed; I felt that I could not worry about the actual surgery and just focus on me.I cant imagine having gone through this with any other surgeon. In our final appointment, I realized that I was actually sad to not expect to see her again, no matter how much I hope I never again have the need to. I highly recommend Dr. Brooke Winner to anyone in need of such personal and important care and treatment.
After decades of suffering and surgeries, Dr Winner removed all of my endometriosis. I am now pain free. PAIN FREE.During my first appointment, she recited my history without looking at a computer or piece of paper. She suggested options I had previously fought for and was denied. After ten minutes, I was in tears — she was an expert. She shared the root of my ongoing frustration— most OB/GYNs deliver babies. She does surgery. Only surgery. And she’s a whiz at it.I cannot imagine living through the rest of my fertile life in pain. I was so defeated and depressed.I am now healed. I am forever grateful to Dr. Winner.
I recently had to have surgery and Dr. Winner was my surgeon. I found her to be focused, and highly skilled. I was confident with her as my surgeon and my surgery went great. She had a great, caring team, I appreciate how she treated me.
Dr. Winner is very caring and the best surgeon in Washington state area. In my every visit, I barely waited to be helped when I checked in. Shes very understanding and listens to your concerns. I am so glad that I chose Dr. Winner and would highly recommend to anyone.
Total Laparoscopic Hysterectomy (Uterus, Tubes, Cervix) 8 weeks ago by Dr. Winner at Missouri Baptist. I was so pleased and impressed with Dr. Winner, the non-invasiveness of the procedure, and the ease of recovery, that its unimaginable. Frankly, she changed my life and gave me hope for a future. One consultation with her will give you more information on your options than reading up on the web. Trust me, I did that for years, and after meeting with her, the choice was clear. 8 weeks ago, I was in the same boat as many of you trying to decide the next step in treatment for your own problems. I had been in pain for YEARS. Id lost precious time with the beautiful kids I have now while I attempted other treatments and options. Aside from minor discomfort during recovery, I have had ZERO pain and total freedom ever since this procedure. I can live my life again, ladies! So much has improved! If you take anything from this review, please, find the courage to take that first step and make an appointment to talk to an EXPERT about your options. Your regular OB/GYN is not an expert at pelvic dysfunction and their treatment options. Dr. Winner is the Guru, gals.
If I could rate Dr. Winner negative stars, I would. I had a fast growing fibroid for which they put me on Lupron. I had major side effects, they honestly didn’t care or try to help give any advice on how to mitigate them. They also didn’t tell me that Uterine Fibroid Embolization was an option when I asked about my options. Uterine Fibroid Embolization is a great option, no surgery needed. Check it out. Dr. Winner’s not going to tell you about it.
I was really excited to get a referral to Dr. Winner after hearing great things from my previous surgeon. Our initial consultation started off rocky as she was 40 min late to our virtual visit. When Dr. Winner finally joined, there was no apology, and really no acknowledgement of the tardiness. From what I could tell it looked like she was on a boat or just not in a regular office setting, so I understand there can be technical issues, but to not even mention it was slightly annoying honestly. My time is valuable too. That aside I found our consultation to be curt, with no real sense of concern, and I got the feeling that she was going through a spiel just to get through the appointment. I got yeah, yeah, yeahd for a while, then she laid out a couple of options that felt like ultimatums. This is the first time we are meeting! Virtually. You dont know anything about my medical history, goals in life, Ive spoken to you for all of 5 min then you lay out the boilerplate /elevator pitch on what to do with some very personal issues? Welp, I never went back after that.It actually took me a really really long time to write this review but the fact that this experience still irks me compelled me to share.
I am extremely pleased with the recent procedure and care I received from Dr. Brooke Winner. She is extremely knowledgeable and wonderful at explaining medical conditions and options. I was having problems getting in to see my current healthcare provider and locating someone I felt comfortable with. I am thrilled that I was referred to her and received excellent and speedy care that has taken care of and resolved my health issues. I received excellent service at both her Seattle and Issaquah offices. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a qualified gynecologist that specializes in female issues.
Have you ever gone to a doctor who remembers the tiny details of your case every time you visit with them? I find that is more rare then you would think, which is what makes Dr. Winner such a gem! Not only is she organized and detail-oriented, she is a tremendous person and surgeon. Highly recommend her for your endometriosis and surgical needs.
I am so grateful to have found Dr. Winner. I just love how compassionate and straight forward she is. She knows what she is doing! I have so much confidence in her abilities there was never a moment where I didnt feel safe or comfortable. She LISTENED to me and didnt make me feel crazy about what I was experiencing. Amazing doctors are hard to come by and Im so blessed that she is mine.
Dr. Winner is an outstanding surgeon who provides an exceptional level of care for her patients. I highly recommend Dr. Winner for advanced Endometriosis and all of the complications that go along with this condition. Dr. Winner deserves 6 stars.
Im grateful for the excellent care I recieved from Dr. Winner and her Surgical team. Her approach to Womens Health is skilled, kind, compassionate and thorough.Recovery was much easier that I anticipated due to her expertise.Id recommend her to any woman in need of GYN surgery. As a Nurse, I have added her to our clinical referral list.Thank You DR.!Tai Carson.
Dr. Winner is amazing! After struggling with female problems for around 5 months she was my saving grace. She is easy to talk to, answers questions clearly and throughly in terms you can understand, and her bedside manner is phenomenal!
I was very anxious about surgery, but Dr. Winner and her team were fantastic. After 2.5 months I feel completely healed and just so much better. Thank you Dr. Winner and Team!
I really was hopeful after talking to the nurse & doctor that this would be the last time that I would need to get another opinion. I was extremely disappointed that this wouldn’t be the case. I felt like I was given ultimatums. There was no concern in looking into other potential issues that could be the cause of my pain. It was all about surgery, surgery, surgery, or the pill, or see a new PT that’s completely out of the way for me even though I already have one. The doctor couldn’t remember who I was. And unless I wanted to have surgery, there was no getting in contact w/ the doctor. It’s extremely frustrating & infuriating as a patient with medical trauma to have this happen. And to see continuous posts shared on social media about all of the 5 star reviews. I wanted to be one of those patients. But unfortunately, I didn’t have that experience. It’s so great to have a specialist that knows what they’re doing in WA that is covered by most insurance companies. But it’s not so great when their sole focus is on surgery, with medication as back up if surgery doesn’t work w/o investigating other potential causes. And giving the same run around w/any question/concern - as if the nurse copied and pasted a response verbatim from another email. I wish things would have worked out differently.
Cant say enough positive things about my experience with Dr. Winner and her team. I truly appreciated her ability to explain all my treatment options and include me in the decision making process. I would highly recommend her as a provider!
I had a great experience with Dr Winner. She was very patient and answered all of my questions. She has a very professional demeanor and was so attentive and caring. I would highly recommend a consultation with her before you make any decisions about a procedure. Mo Baptist was also a great place to go .
I had a hysterectomy and only needed 1 Ibuprofen a day for the first week. I returned to work after one week. I would highly recommend Dr. Winner.
Love Dr. Winner! Shes straight to the point, very thorough and actually listens to you. I had seen 32 doctors before her and she was the only one that diagnosed me correctly and helped me on the road to recovery.
Excellent, knowledgeable doctor. She explains issues and solutions very thoroughly, and is very patient with answering questions. I knew I was in THE BEST medical hands possible when I had her do my surgery.
Dr. Winner is a great person and a very skilled doctor. I enjoyed interacting with her and her excellent team of medical staff.
Dr. Winner takes her time at appointments and personally calls her patients. She is very knowledgeable, professional and personable. I give her 10 stars!
Dr.Winner and her staff and compassionate and courteous. Ive seen a handful of doctors in her specialty and she is the most thorough and easy to talk to. You will be in great hands under her care.
This Dr. went out of her way to fit my child into her schedule so she could get the best possible outcome! Im so thankful to this Dr. She was amazing, and delivered on everything she promised!
Cannot say enough good things about Dr. Winner. She discovered and successfully treated an issue that no other doctors could seem to diagnose. Thank you so much!
Dr. Winner is awesome. Aside from being professional, courteous, and knowledgeable she is thoughtful too. She answered all of my questions and was very patient.
