My left foot was causing great pain.Everyone at the clinic was attentive.I felt better in a day or two. After being in the medical field for four decades, I would highly recommend Access Medical Centers.
Being from Arkansas, our urgent care in my town is terrible. Normally best just to lay in bed and suffer through whatever ailments you may have. That being said, I was a little apprehensive about going to this clinic in oklahoma because I thought I would get treated the same. I was dead wrong. the woman at the front desk was extremely nice and helpful. I was treated like a human being from the start, and not just a number. I got checked in very easily and was seen promptly. The nurse was very sweet and funny, and did a strep, covid, and flu test within literally five minutes of me being in the treatment room. Test results came back negative for all three but the physician still made the time to come back into my room and talk to me about my ailments and MAN, she was SO sweet and VERY helpful. She listened to me and actually cared about what I had to say, just like everyone else there. I was sent home with a prescription for antibiotics, steroids, and a very nice compliment on my shirt. Amazing staff. God bless.
I didn’t know I was supposed to schedule an appointment, so we just showed up. The receptionist explained what I needed to do to check in, and I finally got everything completed fairly easily. The intake person was kind, courteous, and personable while also being professional—perfect! Additionally, we were impressed and thoroughly happy with the PA. Her bedside manner, treatment, knowledge, communication, and attention to detail were all impeccable. I would definitely recommend this provider!
The front desk lady was especially nice, I really appreciate it and sense of urgency. I was in and out. Which is great because I had a headache and tested positive for strep. I’ve actually never been to this location and was very impressed. It has changed my outlook on the location and we will be coming back in the future. Hopefully not too soon.;) Big thank you to all the ladies that assisted and making my visit fast and friendly
Shannon and the team went above and beyond for me when I was ill, they did not care how much time was needed to make me feel better, i never once felt rushed or on the clock. Truly put the care back into healthcare. Best urgent care in STW
Always a pleasant experience. Reception is always super courteous and accommodating. Shannon was/is always upfront and explained things to me so that it made sense. I was never feeling rushed or not heard. Thank you 💝
I made an appointment for 2:30pm, still currently sitting here waiting for someone to call me back. It’s now 3:30pm and i’ve had walk-ins and later appointments walk in before me. There is clear glass into the back of the office where you can see multiple nurses talking, on their phones, etc. I’m astonished it’s taken this long considering this is an urgent care facility. I’m sitting here after describing my pain in my appointment notes and they seem to be in no hurry at all.
I was very satisfied with my care. I did wait about 1 hour but thats ti be expected . The receptionist was nice and efficient. The nurse was nice and professional. And the PA was informative and communicated very well.
Came in 5 minutes from closing time. As always very friendly and concerned about my hand. Ended up with a broken knuckle. You guys are the best. The VA could learn from your wonderful staff at the Perkins Rd clinic in Stillwater Oklahoma.
Staff is professional and polite. Provider is amazing. LPN- Kaylee took great care of my little and treated like the little princess she is! Would recommend to everyone!
Let me start with I checked in online to speed the process up. Yet when I got there they made me fill out more paperwork. One other person walked in before me. I wasnt concerned because Id checked in online. A 3rd person walked in they gave him some forms to fill out and he was actually seen before either of the two of us previous check-ins first thing in the morning. Just the beginning of a bad experience. The assistant who took my vitals was clueless and me clearly in healthcare for the money. She was very rude and didnt care that she was making me walk everywhere on a broken foot. I was given a boot with no further instructions on do I wear this to bed and in the shower or can it come off in the evenings etc...yes that sounds stupid but Ive never had a broken bone so some guidance on that would have been helpful. The Dr herself was very nice and seemed to know a bit more than the rest of the staff. However I actually had to ask for pain meds when Id stated repeatedly I was in so much pain, I didnt sleep the prior night. I had to call them back multiple times for them to finally send the prescription to the pharmacy, hours later. It was ridiculous. Do not go to this place for any medical issues.
Staff was very friendly and we didnt wait long. That being said, on all of my intake forms I listed knee injury for my reason for the visit. We get in and she says, I dont touch knees with a 10 foot pole. I wont even x-ray it. Then WHY have me wait to be seen and bill for a visit where you literally refused to even look at it? I feel scammed.
I wish I didn’t have to even leave one star for this excuse for an urgent care. This is the 2nd time I have come in and been turned away, I live in a rural area and driving to Stillwater on a bogus trip is not something I want to do. First time was bc of not having an appointment, today was bc of the so called virtual dr not feeling comfortable seeing my husband for a sting that I made an appoint for last night. The fact that they have 2 very rude young girls in there that have absolutely zero interest in the health of patients speaks volumes. I will be contacting the state department on all levels.
This place only cares about money my finger was in 2 I told them I can get back on soonercare and soonercare will still pay for them to help me but they turned me away over money withy finger in 2 dont go here if your in a emergency cuz they will not help they will turn you away even if your bleeding bad and stuff they will turn ya away getting back on soonercare to pay for my visit at the hospital but its messed up the hospital said they aint worried about money they just want my finger to get better he said all the right things toe unlike urgent care
Great.. I arrived near closing and they were ready to go home, but they honored my VA referral. They got me right in and had an infection in my foot looked at and prescribed antibiotics. They were kind and professional despite my late arrival!! I appreciate the care!!
The staff is very nice and knowledgeable. Took care of me really quick and got me out in time to get prescription and get better. I will definitely refer pthers.
They do not care for their patients. They will typically run strep, flu and covid tests. If all are negative, they are no help and send you home with a “sorry.” I’ve been here with several infections ranging from moderate to severe over the past several years and never get the antibiotics I need until I go to another urgent care. And once again, it happened again. This time the nurse that came in to talk to me wasn’t even in there a full five minutes. She glanced at my throat and that was it as far as checking me over. After the ONE test they ran (strep) came back negative and I had no sign of fever (I rarely run fever when sick), I was told I couldn’t be helped. She told me to take claritin and zyrtec (hinting that she thought it was just allergies). The next morning I woke up nearly crying with intense pain in my throat, lots of green drainage and had completely lost my voice. I went to AMC in Stillwater, OK and they helped me out big time! I was told I have a bacterial infection and they sent in an antibiotic that is very much so needed, especially given the fact that I have several autoimmune diseases and can’t fight off illnesses on my own. Do not waste your time here. If you want to be heard, seen and truly feel cared for, find somewhere else.
Very kind, respectful and efficient. I was in and out within an hour. They gave me a referral to the ER because they thought it could be something worse than they could treat. They were right and I am thankful for their help.
Very kind and helpful staff. They provided much needed relief.Very quick! The dr I had today (can’t remember her name) was so nice.
I went in for a laceration on my thumb from a small work accident and not only did they not tend to my thumb for an hour but until I was bleeding all over my pants and their floor. Made me take a drug urine test and then after the fact told me I could not leave until I peed or it would be a failure to take a drug test, anytime I would not pee enough I would have to wait another 30 minutes and I had to work in like 2 hours and at the end I was billed $50 when I could have put my own damn bandaid and antibiotic on my thumb, not the best experience will not be going back.
The staff from reception, nurse to provider were phenomenal. This is why we come overt year for my sons sport’s physical. Thanks guys!
Walked in at 10 was told that it would be best to make an appt and come back due to the amount of walk ins. I scheduled an apt for noon. It is now 2:01 and I have still not seen anyone, am just waiting. Don’t come here unless you want to wait 2 hours even with an appointment. While I was in the waiting room, an hour after my appt had past I heard the person scheduling tell someone that the earliest appointment they had was in 30 minutes, knowing full and well someone with an appointment at noon has already been waiting over an hour and isn’t getting seen any time soon. At least be honest with customers of the wait time and don’t let them schedule an appointment thinking they will get seen soonThere has to be a better system than this.
It was good. I argued with the doctor because I was sick but went ahead and let them give me a couple of shots and call in some medications and now I feel a lot better. So Id say they know what they are doing.
This place is actually ridiculous. I called at 11:58am this morning to ENSURE they would be able to provide my dehydrated roommate with IV fluids. They told me that they definitely can do that so I drove there and checked in at 12:18pm. We waited until 2:24pm to see the doctor, she tells us that they definitely don’t do that here. Why on Earth would I have waited two hours outside while my roommate is puking just to be told that they don’t do that. It is actually so ridiculous because I paid $75 for the doctor to give me suggestions of where else to go. I understand if you are answering the phone and you are not sure whether the place provides a service or not, but do not waste people’s time by telling lies.
Very welcoming from the moment you entire the building. Not just the staff, but the waiting room and the patient rooms were clean and inviting with great seating. A prime example of professionalism. The wait time was almost non existent. I was in and out within roughly 30 min. and all my needs were met with efficiency. Also I gotta say, the doctor/nurse had a positive attitude and awesome sense of humor his name is Mason Thompson. Highly recommending to all.
The urgent care here is phenomenal. The staff is polite and courteous. The providers are knowledgeable and make you understand politely. The staff is great but theyre is sometimes a wait. The nurse here is so sweet and polite makes you feel welcome and shows you she cares. I believe her name is mica the nurse and she does above and beyond work a smile. Great place to go supposed to be a 10 star but they only have the option of 5 star
The entire staff was very polite. Vicky, Jason and Shannon were great. The only problem is I had to wait about two hours. There must be a faster way to get clients in and out that don’t have a physical injury. Thanks for being there on a Sunday
I have been to this particular clinic in Stillwater many times and I continue to be impressed with how kind everyone is that works there, from the receptionists to the medical assistants and the providers themselves and everyone I have interacted with has been very knowledgeable to their scope of practice. I would highly recommend this clinic to anyone who wants good quality health-care from providers who treat you like a person and not just a number.
I woke up with a sore throat, knock me out migraines, vertigo and other things. The only reason they got a 4 star instead of a 5 star is bc I had to wait over an hour for them to tell me I had Covid. Wait time is ridiculous but other than that everyone was super friendly and the facility was super clean. I definitely would recommend.
Shannon is a great ARNP. I am always glad to know when she is there if I am needing urgent care. She really knows what she is doing.
I came here with my service dog, and the receptionists did an amazing job of being courteous and ignoring him. However, the nurse (Trevor Maxwell) who saw me was the most unprofessional nurse Ive ever met.He walked into the room, saw my service dog, and gasped. He continued to speak to him as if he were a baby, invading his space with his shoes right in front of my SDs face until ultimately requesting to pat him. I would have been alright with him giving my SD attention once I said it was okay to pet him but the fact he went out of his way to distract him instead of ignoring him before consoling me was not acceptable. He then proceeded to inform everyone that he wanted a dog to work at the clinic to ease everyones stress, all the while holding the door to my room open so he could stare at my service dog. He even went as far as trying to offer him a cookie multiple times throughout the visit. When I told the receptionist what happened after my visit, she was very kind, but the way he acted was highly inappropriate, especially for a nurse!
The staff was super friendly, patient, and efficient. They were all so helpful
Friendly staff with good service. Good location, clean facility, theyre also in the tricare network
The provider I saw prescribed a pain killer that was to be sent to the pharmacy. When my pharmacy did not receive the prescription I went back to the clinic the next day. I was told their system went down yesterday and given a written prescription. The prescription was not on the correct paper (for a controlled substance) and could not be filled. On my third trip to the clinic I waited 35 minutes to be told there was nothing they could do. The provider that wrote the prescription would be back tomorrow and I could come in a fourth time and miss work to ask if she would do the prescription correctly.
I am visiting from out of state so I’ve never been here before but they offered quick service and everyone was kind and professional and I got the help I needed.
Easy to make an appointment, and they are quick, efficient, and kind once you are there! Highly recommend!
They have been extremely polite and helpful each time Ive been there. Massive respect for the staff as theyve handled sick children as well as adults and genuinely listen to concerns. This is the only place that will give me oxygen for my migraine. Extremely thankful.
We appreciate how kind they are and how they work with the children. The PA Trevor was super knowledgeable and a great educator. Stephanie is amazing and knows how to make the hurt feel good(great with painless injections)
They were great. Got me in fast and found out what was wrong. They was all very sweet and understanding. I recommend people to go here. They are great and sweet and understanding. Also will do whatever they can to help.
Extremely professional staff and very clean facilities. My diagnosis appears to be spot-on! I am less than 24 hrs into treatment and feel so much better. Thank you to entire group, including Amy at Front Desk And Shannon Bierig ARNP.
Friendly and made visit easy and simple. Always helpful and polite.
My experience was very pleasant. We had an appointment for 8:30 and we were in a room by 8:27. Staff was very friendly, listened to all of our concerns, and helped us with everything we needed!
Everyone is so sweet and kind and upbeat, they seem like they genuinely personally care. Ami in the front was super kind and helpful, and Mica in the back was also super kind and fantastic at making me feel comfortable.
Many were sick today, and even as a walk in, the wait time was not horrible. The entire staff here was amazing! The man running the front desk was super considerate as was the nurse who checked my vitals. Both Masons deserve recognition for making this sick gal feel as comfortable and cared for as possible. The physician, Trevor, was just as patient and kind seeing me in a timely manner and they even gave me a blanket since I was so cold. I highly recommend this place. Even with being overly busy, they took my needs seriously.
I went to the urgent care in person for a UTI and paid $75 to facetime a provider. I was prescribed a medication, which was switched halfway through to Ciprofloxacin due to the type of infection. I was not comfortable with the prescription change and called several times to discuss alternatives. I was assisted on the phone by an awesome employee named Amy, but not once was I able to talk to an actual doctor about my serious medication concerns. Flash forward to the end of my medication and I am experiencing severe tendon/muscle pain (a side effect of the drug) and was told on the phone that they would require me to do EKGs and alternative testing if I came in to seek stopping treatment (that I did not even want). So, I am already $75 and 2 medications down and I am expected to pay for expensive testing as a result of a side effect of a medication that I knew I was going to have problems with. All the while, I have only spoken to a doctor for approximately 2 minutes throughout this whole ordeal. I am in college so I can not see my primary care provider, otherwise I would have started there.
I’m posting this just to say that Mica French is a wonderful nurse/assistant and the definition of a patient advocate. Her compassion and empathy is unmatched. I really appreciate all she did for me while trying to get treated
Friendly, knowledgeable, and compassionate staff. They kept me informed while I waited and I did not feel rushed during my visit with the doctor. I felt well taken care of!
Their waiting room was beautiful. The wait wasnt too long. Halle was very friendly. I forgot the APRNs name, but she was also friendly. The only thing the least little bit wrong was that after I gave the urine sample I had to wait 15 or 20 minutes in a room where they treated you. And I almost fell asleep. But that probably wasnt anybodys fault.
I made an appointment and wasn’t seen for an hour after my schedule appointment. I only saw a nurse and was looked at for less than a minute and sent home.
Usually have a great experience and look forward to NP Shannon serving us but today she seemed indifferent to helping and kind of short with our sick son. We work long hours and have had a huge work week so we had to use the urgent care instead of our primary. It’s difficult to see someone so complacent when you’re kid sick. The visit earlier this week was great and we love the online checking in; so we’ll come back again and hope she is in a better mood.
An hour and a half of my time I will never get back. Front of office and back of office were unprofessional. Front of office was scatter brained, and kept interrupting patients. Heard front of office tell back of office she forgot about me and had to tell the nurse I was ready to see them. After an hour of waiting. I finally see a nurse, she takes my blood pressure and temperature and doesn’t tell me the value of either of them. Nurse puts me in a room where I wait another thirty minutes with no idea how long it will take. A waste of your patients time, and no regard for customer service.
If zero was an option we would choose it. Took my brother in for a sinus infection. They did a video call, charged $50 copay because it was video, and refused to prescribe antibiotics.Dont waste your time with this place.Note: they will respond with a form letter.
I had never been to Access and I was immediately greeted with a smile (even from behind her mask!) and a friendly hello. She didn’t act put out to help (which is the usual at other urgent care places) and it seemed like her and her co workers were happy to be at work! She was helpful when I didn’t have my insurance card too! The nurse that helped us was friendly, personable and good at her job! I was so impressed! We don’t normally go there but I will go back! Thank you for wonderful service!
I waited only a few minutes after arriving and paperwork. I didnt have an appointment and i didnt expect to be seen so quickly. The entire staff was very personable, kind, and helpful. With their excellent care, I am so much better after just 24 hours.
Want say I love this place very nice people soon got there lady at desk sweet as she been they help me get my finger stitched up and doctor was very nice love how they help great I would definitely come back again
The nurse practitioner made it seem that I was an inconvenience. I sat in the waiting room for an hour, which is not the problem. I got called back, they ran two tests, put me back in the waiting room, and called me back thirty minutes later. I went in for respiratory issues from a fire. They didn’t understand what I was trying to tell them and they told me there was nothing they could do for me. They told me I’d be free to go in five minutes but an hour later and I left. I even went out to see if they forgot about me and they told me I was next.
Staff is kind, friendly and very helpful. Completely professional yet warm and welcoming as well. Highly recommended.
Gracious employees treats you professionally, thorough efficient/proficient work. Great time management and care for peoples time. Great job blood sticks and thorough physical for pet-employment. Thank you well done!!! You are very appreciated from registering personnel through every contact in the building!! Highly recommended
Still waiting on chest xray results. Was told I would be called later in the day.
Worst urgent care I have even been to. Been here twice and everytime I wait 2 hours to be seen at minimum even with an appointment. Would not recommend at all.
The staff was very welcoming. We got in and out in a timely manner. I feel like the proper treatment was given for my child.
The staff was really friendly and got my son and me in quickly using online check in. They were gentle, patient and caring with my 1yo son, even when he was difficult!! The nurse even gave us some water while we waited on test results. If me or any member of our little family ever needs urgent care this is always the place we come!! Thank you guys!!
They had obviously disinfected the lobby recently before my visit because I could smell it which really eased my nervousness about possibly catching an illness while I waited to be seen for a physical concern. The front desk staff was super helpful when I had questions and welcoming during check in. The nurses were very welcoming as well and the over all process was very quick. The lobby was not crowded. The practitioner was thorough during the exam and helpful with finding a solution to my problem. All in all my total visit was done in under an hour. So five star rating for being clean, sanitary, welcoming/friendly staff, quick, knowledgeable and thorough!
They were quick and easy to assist and help me out! Thank you Shannon
The staff here was friendly and helpful. Our wait wasnt long and theu treated my son quickly. The doctor listened to our concerns and answered questions making us feel comfortable. I would highly recommend using Access Medical.
The doctor did not even diagnose me with what was wrong with me. I went in with an extremely sore throat, so sore I can’t even sleep at night. All they did was run a strep test. Once it came back negative, they just prescribed me on two types of medication, one to treat a viral infection and one to treat a bacterial. They did not run any other tests to figure out what was truly wrong. After all of that, they charged me $103! Without insurance that would have been $275! That much money to not even get diagnosed with what was wrong with me! They also told my friend that she had “allergies”, once she went to another doctor, they told her “how could they not tell this is bronchitis and it’s almost bad enough to turn into pneumonia!” Will not be coming back, save your time and money!
Providers here only prescribe medication and send you on. They never diagnose.
I have been here before but for my significant other and this time I had a good experience. It was quick and fast which is what I like because I can be in and out, get the care I need, get the medicine I need, and be home quick. The front staff was professional and got the paperwork all fixed up quickly and I didnt have to wait for long to get seen. The back staff was great made me feel comfortable and got all my info quickly. The test they did were quick as well and the provider gave me the results quickly and answered all my questions. I got the care I needed and the medicine I needed quickly. I was home within the hour of being seen. Good staff and good care.
I took my girls up there, at different times in one day and they both received excellent service. Everyone was super nice. Hopefully corporate gets them some more staff, looked like they are pretty slim on staffing today but they were making the best of it.
The staff is absolutely amazing. I have no insurance but was having recurring problems and they worked with me to set up a co pay so I could heal. They are very patient and they made sure I felt better and was being taken care of. Shannon is an amazing doctor, one of the best that has ever taken care of me and I am very thankful to her and the rest of the staff at this clinic.
The staff have always been friendly and knowledgeable. I have never met anybody there who was rude or unkind. They are super helpful and I usually don’t enjoy going to the doctors unless I absolutely have to.
We were in and out in 30 min!! And we were a new patient. The waiting area was so cozy and inviting. The staff was extremely helpful and patient with my little one. I also booked an appointment online at 1 am when my little one started to not feel well. Will definitely be back and will send people in as well! Thanks again.
The staff is amazing, and is very helpful! Angela at the front desk is always so friendly and greets you with a smile, Shannon the nurse is very kind, and helpful, and Shannon the provider is very knowledgeable, and professional and takes your problems seriously, and with the best care!
Barely gave me the time of day and prescribed a cream that didnt even help
As always excellent and efficient providers. Love the service. They have hired the most abrasive receptionist in this town- shes been thru multiple cos and its never pleasant working with her. But hopefully shell be gone as quickly as she was at other places
They were SUPER busy! Expected wait was 2+ hours, but we were in and out within 1 hour and 15 minutes. The PA who worked with us was great! We appreciated the texted link to the waitlist that allowed us to wait in our car and see how many people were ahead of us.
I am almost 60 years old and have dealt with my fair share of medical professionals in my life. The entire staff at Access Medical are top notch professionals that truly care about the patients they see. I’ve been there several times since they opened and have never had a bad experience. Their service is always professional and quickly delivered with a caring touch and genuine smile as well as much faster than any typical ER visit. Because of the above mentioned service, it’s a real blessing to have Access Medical and their staff in my home town and I will always prefer them over other options. I highly recommend them because I know my statements are not out of their normal. You can trust them with your medical needs just like I do. They’ve not let me down or disappointed me yet. Feeling bad? Go see them, you’ll feel better faster as well as agree with my review.
Everyone was really nice. Mason, our MA, was great with the baby.
Everyone was fast, efficient, and extremely nice and helpful. We love access, they always treat us amazingly!
Had to make a second trip, after all for actual service with appointment, arrived with no wait, saw MA and she did the initial check in, and did tests for both Covid and two types of flu, saw NPA and she gave test results (all negative), and proceeded with exam to let me know that I had upper respiratory infection! Was in and out in less than 90 minutes! Awesome staff, very friendly and efficient!
Kind and helpful staff, quick check in time!
Got in fairly quickly and once in the exam room no waits for more than a few minutes. Very professional, friendly and caring. The PA I saw, Colleen, was very knowledgeable and worked quickly. Very pleasant experience, all things considered.
I had made an appointment for my son, when we got here there was a man in the waiting area screaming and cussing. They ended up just calling him back so he wouldn’t be a disruption but instead myself and other people who had appointments ultimately had to wait over an hour past our appointment time. Why let someone make appointments online if you still have to spend hours waiting?
Very nice people and work. Only thing i was upset over was the time but i get it, they were super busy! Would recommend
Checked-in online for a 10:30am appointment, arrived at 10:24am, and after filling out paperwork the appointment started at about 10:36am. Nurse was kind and helpful, but didn’t really ask any probing questions regarding my visit. The PA I saw was more probative. Overall friendly, helpful staff. Finished the appointment less than 40 minutes after checking in and provided with discharge information.
Staff is nice but didn’t prescribe me what I needed and I had to come back. Wait is horrible and too many people come here. You shouldn’t let people make appointments if they’re still gonna have to wait two hours after their appointment time.
Staff is friendly, but I wouldnt say that makes up for the 3 hour wait I endure every time I come here. Recently I showed up at 8:15, right after they opened, yet still had to wait 3.5 hours in the lobby, and another 30 minutes sitting in the room. People arrived and checked in after me, but still got helped before me somehow, even though I was consistently asking about my spot on the wait list. Waste of my time, Id rather lie down at home and feel like death than sit in their uncomfortable chairs and feel like death.
First time user:Friday Dec 22 at noon. Short wait(35 min). Thorough diagnosis, fully explained, meds prescribed. Competent personnel.
Absolutely love going in here anytime if something I wouldn’t see my normal doctor regularly for. They are always extremely polite caring and understanding and get you in and out as quickly as possible. If I can make this my regular doctor I would in a heartbeat definitely recommend to bring adults or children. I bring my seven-year-old daughter here anytime that she gets sick or something comes up and they are always wonderful to her as well.
Made appointment online 3 hrs before they opened. I was in exam room precisely at my appointment time. The staff is very competent, efficient, and very friendly. All of my concerns and questions were addressed completely, and the were thorough with the explanation of what I could expect the the following days after my visit. Thanks everyone, you are great!
Short wait time. Friendly staff. Answered questions with ample time for discussion. First experience here however I would recommend based on this visit.
My normal clinic is no longer accepting Blue Cross Blue Shield insurance, so I had to find somewhere new. I have cold like symptoms currently, so wanted to test for the corona virus. I called, and they said they don’t have the rapid tests, but referred me to two places who do (not in network). I told them I would be okay with the lab testing. I was a walk in, but got signed in (as a new patient) was seen, and talked to the PA all within an hour. It was fast and they were friendly and professional. I don’t know why there’s so many negative reviews. I will also point out that their hours are incredible, especially for weekends!
Frankly I am really very surprised this place has such high reviews. Yes it is convenient to fill out paperwork online and book an appointment. I still waited to be seen for 45 minutes and the receptionist didn’t seem to care about being there at all. The woman who took me back and got my vitals and did my test was super friendly (only thing saving this review in fact). She tested me for the flu and for COVID, both of which came back negative. Then I saw Shannon- For maybe 2 minutes. I told her what was going on. (Congestion, coughing, sore throat, fever, etc). She didn’t smile, didn’t seem concerned at all. I’m asthmatic. She didn’t listen to me breathe, didn’t look in my eyes, ears, throat, nothing. Just said go home and take over the counter meds and call in a few days then we will reevaluate. I also have no doubt my insurance will be sending me a huge bill. I was not impressed and I really hope they treat others differently.
I am normally skeptical about urgent cares helping me feel better but I am nothing but extremely pleased with my visit. With flu season in full swing, the office was packed, not only did they get me back and seen before their estimated time, they were dedicated to getting me something to feel better. Highly recommend and would go again if needed.
Waited an hour in waiting room when I had an appt. c/o ear pain but he did not check my ears. C/o nausea and vomiting, he wouldn’t RX any thing for nausea. Said they called in a RX for my cough. Pharmacy never received it, tried to call access to let them know. On hold for 15 minutes until I gave up.So I drive back to Access. By now I’m Having extreme ear pain and vomiting. I’m visibly upset and miserable . The receptionist tells me to calm down and leave. The NP was condescending, rude and didn’t give good health care. Will never return. They only want your money. They don’t care about the individual!
The staff was very personable and efficient. They all worked together to make a rather unpleasant injury more bearable. I was in, stitched up, and out again in less than an hour, yet I didnt feel rushed or like I was in a factory assembly line as is the case in some urgent care facilities. The staff gave very kind and attentive care. They got started on my treatment while my daughter checked me in. Paper work seemed minimal. Thank you for being there. I am from out of state and am considering a move to the area. Services like this add to the attractiveness of your community and will be taken into consideration when it comes time to decide on location.
Check in process was very smooth. Paperless check in. From Front desk staff, to nurses/ CNAs to provider- very respectful and made me feel comfortable. They were very efficient. I was impressed!
Excellent care. I had 2 kids in at the same time. In and out within an hour. The young man at the front was excellent and the PA was great. Hope I dont have to go back but will go here if ever needed.
Everyone there was so very nice and made sure to wait and hold the door for me as I was walking slow on my bad leg! Will, mason and Trevor were my main care takers and did an awesome job!
Highly recommended. Everyone is competent, knowledgeable, professional and friendly. I received exactly the care I needed, including an electronic prescription sent to my drug store. A friend told me she had the same, excellent experience there. We are blessed to have them in Stillwater.
Experience was very good with staff and doctor, but the wait after the time of the appointment was almost 2 hours! Finally got to see them and got some relief and good advice
Showed up at 3:05 PM for a covid test and I am writing this at 5:13 PM, in a waiting room.I was told that someone would be with me shortly, but I haven’t seen anyone, and have went and asked about my results and no one knows anything.
This is my second time to visit. From the moment I stepped in the door to my departure, I was impressed with the professionalism, genuine care and efficiency which Breahna, Shannon, Marlena, and Trevor demonstrated.I definitely recommend them!
My visit great.everything was just fine.
We have used Access for about 3 years now. Probably a total of 6-10 cisits between two children. Both customer and clinical services are top notch. Reception is always great. The clinical staff are great with my kids and let them talk about their symptoms. There is an electronic record so I do not have to fill out endless forms. Any prescriptions needed are sent to our pharmacy and we just pick it up. They always take our insurance with no problem. I gave 4 stars just because I would prefer direct care clinicians not wear acrylic nails, but you can always ask them to wear gloves for all care. Still far better than any other urgent care provider in this area.
My experience has always been great, today however, the triage nurse was not very nice. Did not talk to me other than to ask medications and tell me my results from blood pressure and fever. Just very cold and put off feeling. I was not greeted by anyone when I walked in even though there were 3 people at the desk. I was only spoken to after filling out the small check in sheet. The provider was not willing to listen when she came into the room the first time. Cut me off when I was telling my symptoms. Immediately left the room and said she would be back after my flu test came back. Once the results came back, she came back in and said it was negative and then said she could do a CVC but that would take 15 min and she didn’t know if I would want to wait. I was there to find out why I was sick. I would have done the tests but once again I felt as though I was a burden to them. So I said I would come back if I still felt this sick tomorrow. I would have chosen to not come back except the on-site manager came in and gave me my paperwork and was very kind and personable. She helped to give me more advice on what to do not to get worse and told me how long my symptoms might last if it was the virus that’s been going around. I will go back one more time, but I was not pleased today except for the on-site manager.
My 3 year old had a really bad earache, bad enough that she wouldn’t stop crying to do anything. The nurses and doctor were great with her. They managed to get her to stop crying long enough to examine her and got her to take some medicine. When we left she was smiling and didn’t look at all like she had been crying for 3 hours straight. This is the only urgent care I go to!
I feel very comfortable taking myself and my family to Access Medical Centers. Shannon Moore is very compassionate and makes you feel at ease. Tonya Alexander, who works at the front desk, is always cheerful and has a welcoming smile. When I have an urgent medical issue that I feel cant wait for doctors hours, this is the place I go.
I had a horrible experience at the AMC urgent care in town and came here and was so impressed. The woman up front is super nice and the wait was short and Dr. Karen Webster is amazing! She has me feeling better for the first time in months! Best experience at an urgent care ever.
The receptionist was courteous from the time i walked in the door, and PA Trevor Maxwell was kind, caring and thorough in his examination of me. If i ever have a need to return there i feel i will be in competent hands.
Very friendly and quick service!
I was in and out in under an hour. The front desk person (Jesse) was very efficient an personable. Leslie, the nurse was proactive and took X-rays of my foot in advance so the dr could view them before seeing me. HIGHLY recommend Access!
Home visiting for the holidays, but after 36 hours of high fever I decided to go to urgent care.1) I get there, and an appointment is required (per the rather unprofessional receptionist). Kind of defeats the entire point of urgent care. I get one set up for later that day and fill out all of the online paperwork2) After returning for my appointment, apparently the portal was down and all paperwork needed to be re-completed. I waited another 30 minutes to be seen.3) I finally get back into the room, they take my blood pressure, pulse, and asks what allergies and symptoms I have (first time I have never been weighed). I told them I felt like I had the flu (high fever, chills, sore throat, body aches) and asked for a flu test. Of course they asked to also test me for Covid and I said fine. They swabbed me for both and put me in another room to wait for 20 minutes.4) The nurse practitioner shows up and says I have Covid. That’s literally it. I saw this lady once before years ago when I lived here and remembered here being I credibly unhelpful. Given I had 0 of the typical Covid symptoms congestion, cough, taste loss, etc) I also asked for a strep test. She swabs me and then I wait another 5 minutes for that result.5) Another nurse shows up and says I dont have streps and proceeds to rush me out. I asked if they planned to listen to my chest, or check my lymph nodes….nope. I asked if they had any kind of recommendations on treatment or vitamins and the response was “there isn’t a magic cure all”. What an unprofessional response. Obviously there isn’t- but the flu doesn’t have one either and yet you still give something to help. The nurse then gave the standard line “if you get worse go to the hospital”.This is the only time in my life I have gone to an urgent and not received some kind on treatment - once I had Covid they couldn’t get me out of there fast enough. I ended up having to go to another doctor who was able to prescribe me the works. Two days later and I am feeling almost 100%. One of the huge helps was the nebulizer to help my breathing (I did end up having tightness in my chest). Why couldn’t urgent care have prescribed this? Why couldn’t they have given me a z-pack? Insurance had no problem covering either of these for Covid and they have both made a huge difference. This lack of early treatment is what is causing hospitals to full up unnecessarily. I just cant figure out if it’s incompetence or negligence.
This facility is amazing! I was seen right away. The personnel there is very caring and professional and catered to my needs.
I went for a DOT physical. The wait to be seen by the receptionist was minimal. I had an appointment (a plus for me at urgent care facilities) and she had much of the paperwork completed when I arrived. The staff was pleasant, efficient, and thorough. I would definitely recommend.
Staff is always friendly and professional, however, unless you just feel like wasting your money, skip going to urgent care. Ive been there three times in the last two years and each time I was directed to go to the E.R. only to be told it wasnt serious and treatable by basic meds. The only difference is that youll be seen faster in urgent care, but that doesnt matter if you are just going to be sent to the ER anyways.
They were quick to get me in, and knew what I was talking about. My concern was resolved, and my final bill was very close to the estimate I got before I was seen. This review has held true for three separate visits, now.
Husband took our son for the first time ever on his own as a parent. The staff was super friendly and understanding.
I needed a quick prescription for insulin as a type 1 diabetic because my pump was broken. I was referred here for a quick turnaround. About two and a half hours later, I was finally able to leave... Not my number 1 recommended place, but the staff was at least friendly.
I cut my leg on a rusty nail and needed a tetanus shot. I showed up, filled out some paperwork, and had me in the room in 15 minutes. They gave me a little checkup and I had my shot within 15 minutes. Everyone was very nice and professional and they were absolutely okay with self pay. Overall, a very pleasent experience other than the shot in my arm.
Experienced and friendly staff. They have a good sense of humor. I been to several places where they push you through and don’t give you the time of day. When your not feeling well it’s nice to know the person helping you cares.
They are the most prompt service in Clinic health care professionals Ive ever known. Always friendly, patient and they really care about you. I highly recommend you come here to be treated. Thank you from... A happy 😊 source
I called ahead to make sure they had a mask mandate and were enforcing it because I have a family member with an immune deficiency and I didn’t want her in there with people being seen for COVID symptoms unmasked. Within 30 seconds of us being in the waiting room, an unmasked man walked in and right towards us. When I asked him to put on a mask, he started yelling at us. In order to avoid a confrontation, we left and went to our car to wait but the office staff let him stay unmasked. I realize they didn’t want to fight. I just wish there was a place we could get healthcare locally without being exposed to anything in the midst of a deadly pandemic. 😞
The doctor i saw was great, quickly but throughly diagnosed me. blunt but precise. I will be coming back because of well she did.The nurse that took my blood pressure before seeing the doctor however rude and unfriendly. I am taking off 2 stars solely because of this person. Times are tough for medical employees right now but that does not make it ok for a nurse to treat a patient with disdain.
Shannon Bierig is absolutely the best in town. Take all of my sons here all year long for various health issues. Cough, colds, fevers, skin problems. Shannon is well educated and patient. Listens to all symptoms and is all around amazing. Highly recommend her and the nurses at the access clinic!!! A+++++++
Front desk receptionist could’ve been more helpful but the rest of the staff were incredibly nice. I’ve been twice so far. Took about 1-2 hours each time.
I arrived around 10:30am on a Monday, there were about five patients ahead of me in the waiting room so I did not think it would take long. I had waited for an hour and a half and had not heard anything on the wait and had not been taken back to be triaged. I left around 12:30pm after being frustrated. Another friend of mine was there the same day and it took them three and a half hours to been seen. I understand it is flu season, but I find this unacceptable.
I walked in today without an appointment and they were very busy but my wait was very minimal. The staff was friendly and very helpful and knowledgeable. This is my favorite urgent care place in stillwater!
Great staff and care! I didnt like having to type out the forms required as part of check in, on my phone. My wait was longer than Id hoped for also. But for the purpose of medical care, no complaints.
We would definitely recommend AMC. In and out in just over an hour. Very friendly staff and very clean.
Nice, friendly staff. Can sometimes take a while for the doctor to come in to see you, but the service is excellent. I always come here for my medical needs when I can’t go home to my primary doctor.
I saw the provider for approximately 1 minute 30 seconds. Daniel Lee misdiagnosed my issue. I paid $130 for the visit and $28 for medication.8 days later I had to see another provider to get a proper diagnosis and medication.Strep throat is easy to diagnose, but serious if left untreated. I dont understand what I paid for at this clinic. I will never trust my health with the providers at this clinic again.
The staff was so friendly! This was the least scary doctor visit I’ve ever had haha. The whole process went so quickly and easily. 10/10 would go back
Great experience for testing for COVID which was very stressful having a two year old. They took great care of us and made sure she was completely comfortable! Great place and they take walk ins.
Great experience and fast service
The staff is nice and all but they overcharged me for my visit to the doctor and I didn’t feel comfortable going there. Honestly I give them like three stars.
Do Not Come Here Angela was the worst person in stillwater I swear. She was the older loud lady that sits behind the desk eating food and talking very sarcasticly to everyone. upon discussing my symptoms with the nurse she moved away fromnher desk to stare me down and listen in, i had to ask the nurse to shut the door. I just came in for a covid check and i will never come back this place makes you feel like you went to the wrong urgent care for sure not clean either
They got me in 30 minutes before closing and did everything they could. I was there over an hour, so they are committed to patients. Great Dr, nurse & front office staff!!!
We had an amazing experience at Urgent Care this evening. The nurses were amazing with my 7 yr old, who had to get a stitch. Very informative and patient with us, even though we went in close to closing time.
Very fast, very helpful and kind. I always go to this place if I need to get in and out quickly. Once they even told me at the desk I didn’t need stitches and saved me the expense of the appointment.
Don’t bother making an appointment because they’ll still get you in over an hour after you made it. Not sure if the desk lady feels over worked or just doesn’t have the patience for anyone. She told me I didn’t need to check in and then when I got a text saying I haven’t checked in and my appointment will expire she got mad at me for not checking in ? I’ve been here before and they weren’t nearly as bad as they were today
The doctor on staff and assistants were very nice, respectful to my daughter and I. My daughter and I was not feeling well, especially my daughter. The doctor was very nice to her and treated us very well!
Theyre fast and very customer friendly. They cater to everyones needs and do so in a timely manner.. Keep up the great work.
Great service and friendly receptionists, medical assistant and Nurse Practitioner. I was seen quickly and was in and out with in 35 minutes. I highly recommend!!!
I am new to Stillwater and have been to Access Medical Center twice. I received great care and the wait was not terribly long. I am very happy with their services.
They are so kind! Went in twice for covid testing and they are quick and easy. But the staff is the most pleasant! They are just so kind!! Which always is so nice especially in these times! (Covid testing at this site is free in Stillwater)
The staff was soooo friendly! they were very comfortable and funny to work with. genuinely would recommend them to anyone!!
How do you have an urgent care and say you accept walk ins when we call then show up and told you aren’t taking anymore patients today.
Walked in with no appt but they saw my daughter immediately. Staff was amazing and did a great job!! Really expensive but Im sure it was much cheaper than a trip to the emergency room.
They were fast and thorough. The staff was very friendly. I will definantely be taking my 5 month old son back there if he needs medical attention and his regular doctor office is closed.
Did not have an appointment but was able to get in very quickly. Front desk staff very friendly as well as Doctor and Nurse. I will definitely be returning.
It was a very smooth experience. The entire staff were amazingly polite and kind. There was min wait time. I would highly recommend this Urgent care center!
Got me in and out very quickly! I also like that I can make an appointment and check in with their app or online. Keeps the number of sick people reduced in their waiting room.
Was on vacation for the holidays, got a sinus infection. Was tested for both covid and flu, results negative. Was put on 4 medications, antibiotics, steroids, inhaler and cough beads. Got well. Just before Christmas I started feeling like it was coming back and even had ear pressure. I returned almost exactly a month later with the same symptoms. No tests, same medications except no inhaler since I still had some. I still have clear drainage and a touch of a rattle in my lungs. Will be going to my primary care provider next week. Still using inhaler and taking over counter decongestant to break up stuff in my lungs and coughing it up. Hope we can get this taken care of.
Wait was a little long since I was the only patient there. But the folks were all very nice.
Id never been there before. Went in for a tb test for a volunteer job. EVERYONE from the receptionist to the person who took bloodwork was top notch ...helpful...and nice!!!
Very friendly staff and Dr. Whole visit maybe an hour. They schedule d my follow up Docters apt aswell as called in my prescription so it was ready for me to pick up as i was the docters visit. Really awsome .
Fast services, friendly and professional staff. My favorite place to go when I am sick. Thank you so much for everything you do to serve our community
I was treated by a highly professional and knowledgeable staff. The physician certainly knew her medicine, and she diagnosed my problem with skill. I simply could not have had a better experience.
Myself and my infant son have both been seen here on various occasions for different nonemergency situations. The staff has always been courteous and knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend them.
I never wait long. All staff members are pleasant. Good advice and Im out quickly. Will use again. Thank you Shannon B and Shannon W et al. Briana (sp?)MA.
I had a very pleasant experience. They were helpful with my insurance, they were friendly and knowledgeable. The provider listened to what I had to say. I am very glad I have this option when I an not get into my doctor.
Wasn’t feeling well at all, and this was the only clinic open at the time. Came in looking for some form of relief for my symptoms and got sent home with nothing. Got the vibe that they don’t really care. Called back to politely ask if my COVID test results came in because of my adamant employer. They said that the results weren’t in yet and then just hung up on me. My bad for wanting to know my test results!
This is nothing against the staff because they were great. I went in there for vomiting and we were told that since we were self pay it could be up to $300. We thought that was ridiculous, but didnt have much options at the time. We thought that since she said it could be up to $300 that meant that would be if they ran a lot of tests. Not the case. They basically charged us $330 for a pregnancy test that I adamantly told them I didnt need and a prescription for nausea pills that didnt even work. I might as well have gone to the ER. If you are self pay dont go here.
The wait time was as long as it took to fill out the. One page patient history sheet and sign-off on their HIPPA form, which all amounted to a whopping 8 minutes! I know... I’m slow at writing these days. I was courteously escorted back to an exam room, where I then met the Nurse Practitioner who patiently listened to me answer several key questions to support my current condition. She then gave me a test and offered a bottled water to drink and we waited for roughly 10 minutes for the results. Another nurse came back with the results, instructed me on the medications required to shorten the interval of getting well which counted for very few minutes; while all-totaled I was there for under 1/2-hr! The place was spotless; the restroom sink, toilet, hand soap, sink, and backsplash were spotless!
Trevor and Halle were awesome! They took great care of my son. Very caring and made sure all our questions were answered. I highly recommend going here.
Access is always quick to get me and my family in to be seen and helped. They listen to any worry or question we have and I dont ever feel like Im being talked over or brushed off. Theyre the only Urgent Care we use.
It was a very pleasant experience. I was in and out within an hour. The staff were friendly and courteous.
Great experience! They saw me immediately after I filled out the paperwork. They were very nice and helpful. I was in and out in less than a half hour.
Extremely slow service even if you check in online
The front office lady was nice, however, this place is ridiculous! I waited for an HOUR! when I was literally the only person there! at the urgent care in my home town they would have taken 10 people in the time they took to see 1! If youre not a patient person dont go here!
I made an appointment, they were very backed up with people coming in. The receptionist was awesome as well as the medical staff.
The provider Shannon was fabulous and the front and back office staff were efficient and caring- while it was busy they were working to make it the best experience possible- highly recommend
Have dealt with this place on 3 different occasions. All 3 times we ended up having to go to the ER anyway and got stuck with extra bills because insurance will not cover 2 visits for the same issue. Do not bother with this place unless your issues are only cold/flu related. For anything even remotely physical just go ahead and go to the ER and sve yourself the extra time and money.
My college-age daughter visited this past Friday. She was seen in a timely manner & treated in a professional manner...all just shy of $450! This is a COLLEGE town with poor college kids getting an education from a fine university...WHY Access Urgent Care charges $260 just to see medical staff is OUTRAGEOUS. She was not given the choice to decline testing for 2 strains of flu ($115) plus the charge for the needle ($22) & CVC ($40). Funny how labs are fairly cheap.BEWARE of the charges BEFORE you walk through the door. She will not be returning to AUM ever again.
Always so kind to my kids and get us in and out as soon as they can! The staff is great from the front to back and we always have a pleasant experience even with sick little ones.
I am giving one star only because zero stars was not an option. I brought my child here and it was not busy at all. It was early morning. She was pretty sick with a fever and an overall feeling of yucky. After being shown to the exam room, I was asked by the woman if I REALLY wanted someone to look over my child. I guess the PA told her from someplace else in the building that it sounds like a viral infection. I dont quite understand how the PA knew this, I never saw her until she came into the room. Yes, the whole reason I bothered to get my child out of bed and come to the clinic is to be seen by a provider! When the provider came in she told me again its only a virus. She never checked her throat, ears or lungs! I thought it was always standard to check those things when a patient is being examined. My child was very sick and I dont believe this level of care was acceptable. I was not happy at all with this visit. We will not be returning.
The receptionist, MA, and Angela Colborn, NP were all kind and very helpful. I felt welcomed and well taken care of during my visit.
Shannon and Shelby are amazing. The lady at the front desk was showing her frustration to the customers. She seemed totally overwhelmed.
Went there because I dropped something heavy on my foot and heard a distinct snap and knew it was broken. Waited 4 hours before the doctor would even see me and because I didnt have insurance and was self pay (Ive always paid this way and never had s pending balance) the doctor refused to give an x ray and looked at my foot without touching it and said since I could bare some weight on it, it clearly want broken. Charged me 150.00 for thatexpertadvise. Went somewhere else next day and yeah, severe fracture on top of foot had to have a cast put on. Terrible people there.
Everybody was polite it went pretty fast and I received all information that I needed. It was a great customer experience.
Called to make an appointment for a physical and they wanted me to do it online. I ended up making one and when I got to the place they said I wasn’t on schedule and couldn’t see me. Thankfully I took a screenshot of the confirmation and they had to work me in. My wait time was still 45+ minutes!
Arrived at opening(8 a.m.) and one gentleman was ahead of me in line. He wasn’t called back until 8:45 so I’m sure I won’t be called back until after 9. First in line and it takes 45 minutes to be seen! Doesn’t seem like a good Systmes
Very professional and nice, i dont have a primary care and have been going here for years while im in stillwater. the app makes it convenient to make appointments and file paperwork.
I came in 10 minutes before they closed and they were so kind and helped me get the treatment I needed.
Provider was great! The nurses were adequate just not overly friendly or energetic...we were the only ones there and it still took a fair amount of time to be seen..
Most Unprofessional clinic I’ve ever been to. Been told twice not to come in because they close in 30 minutes. They change their hours at a whim and don’t even post it online. They do a hand written sign posted to the door so there were about 8 cars that looked just as frustrated/sick as I was. They manage to make everything harder than it should be.
We experienced a quick check-in and short wait period. Sport physical cost 25$ and was very quick. Nice waiting room.
Would have given 5 stars but Amber was extremely rude and short when I had to call back because the pharmacy hadnt received my script. Said it could take a few minutes when it had already been 30 minutes. Pharmacy still didnt get the script and the pharmacist eventually had to call and get it.
The staff is very professional The place is very clean they serve it with kindness the receptionist is very efficient and professional and very friendly I recommend this place 100% very good people I went without an appointment with my daughter and they attended her as soon as possible thank you very much to all the staff
Website clearly says make an appointment to reduce wait time. Made an appointment and all the walk ins are literally going ahead. Dont offer appointments if they wont be honored
The lady at the front desk was so rude to so many people and the wait was extremely long. I have not ever seen a receptionist act like that at work. Unprofessional
They did awesome! Kid friendly! Concerned and caring!
Staff was extremely patient and helpful. Im thankful to have them in our town. Through all of the BS going on today they are there day in and day out. Blessings to them all.
Both times we had my 7 year old in the access urgent care the doctors have been great and quick.
I was very nervous as I was being tested for COVID-19 and the staff was very polite. The receptionist let me wait in my vehicle as I was afraid to be around others for their safety. VERY ACCOMMODATING!!!!
Always pleased with the care and efficiency of the staff. Would absolutely recommend to anyone who doesn’t want to spend hours in ER.
There was a new check in system they were battling with so the wait for me was a little long, but the staff is the nicest :)
Easy to get an appointment. Friendly staff and diagnosed my medical issue. Thanks!
