The staffs are very friendly and helpful. Michelle in the front desk helped me verify all of my information from many different places to confirm my eligibility. Nurse Ryan double checked all of the requirements from his systems against my information and verified that everything matched before proceeding further. I only needed 1 shot which he administered (no pain at all !). Then he coordinated with nurse Kristine to get my blood drawn at the same time (also quick and painless! ). Everyone was extremely kind, professional, and went above and beyond to make sure I have everything I need for school. Highly recommend !
Despite all the negative reviews I actually only have positive things to say about SHaW. Ive been her a handful of times while at uconn and I received really excellent care every single time.I had a really bad concussion my freshman year after a skiing accident and they got me in same day I called AND after hours. The staff, nurses, and attending physicians were so unbelievably nice and caring. Everyone Ive received care from was super knowledgeable and did a really great job not only treating me but also keeping me well informed on the logistics of what was going on and what was going to happen. They have a lab and pharmacy within the building. I have found that to be extremely convenient, youre everything done in one place. That was particularly helpful when I was a freshman and didnt have a car on campus.
People are kind here. But my experiences here are so bad. The Quest which is where shaw send the test results to do some labs delays on billing and the billing office blamed on us for leaving this country as international graduated students and also not having school insurance. The point is how are we able to stay here without visa responses. And if in any cases we couldn’t receive the bill, we will be resent to our original country because of the credit issues.
My son jameer went here the other day and they gave him DayQuil and charged him a fee bill after making him sit and wait for 2 hours. He went to another urgent care and they told him he had a fractured bone and an infection and a dislocated limb this is ridiculous and unacceptable
Was given a flu test, which came back negative. Was then told they were only testing for one strain so I could or could not still have the flu. I then went to my Dr. back home, and it was confirmed that I do have the flu.Super unprofessional in my opinion, especially considering I live on campus, and was around other students this whole time. The nurses and other staff were extremely kind and helpful, but this experience as a whole was frustrating.
Although the staff and nurses are pretty kind and helpful, but my experience with this place is just terrible. I had to wait for 2 days to get notified about the result of X-ray of my possibly broken leg, after calling for 5-6 times the next day!!!
Awful. I am a student at Uconn currently. Quarantined my floor for two weeks because a student had covid symptoms. Student tests negative twice, still keeps us quarantined. Gets my friend in trouble for taking off his mask to get a drink. Then got my friends in trouble for exceeding lounge capacity when it was another group that came in after them that put them over the limit. All this fuss over a disease with a 99.8% survivability rate for college age people.
My experience with UConn health services has been great. I never have to wait long to get an appointment. Everyone from the receptionist to the doctor is friendly and welcoming.
Apparently takes a week to check a form, can’t use the gym in meantime because they’re too lazy to get around to it
Dated but convenient. I had a DOT physical performed here with no wait time. No complaints.
Phone doesn’t work , nobody answer, horrible
The staff is very friendly and the allergy shot center is very well-setup
