My experience was amazing they have the sweetest front desk employee Jasmine , she happened to be my favorite , she smiled at me very beautiful smile and so welcoming , she kept telling me it’s gonna be just fine and reassured me that it wouldn’t be a stressful visit.Alex was amazing also Dr. Pilc was AMAZING!Everyone was so warm with greeting and helping.
Ive never felt more safe or welcomed for a health appointment, thank you PP of Tallahassee! From the front desk to the assistants and practitioners, everyone made me feel like I belonged. I arrived just on time for my appointment when they opened and was seen by a medical assistant within 20 minutes of arriving. Just a heads up, please complete your online check-in & insurance if necessary before coming! Makes things a lottttt faster for everyone.I would love to shout out medical assistant Alaa for the fantastic service, kindness, and for being such a wonderful listener. I would also love to shout out nurse practitioner Kristin for making my appointment so easy, and for being so charismatic and caring. Thank you to the entire PP Tally team that provides wonderful service to all of us! Keep up the amazing work and Ill always be grateful. Cheers!
Everybody is so great and welcoming. Appointment started a bit late but there were a lot of patients in the waiting room so it was understandable. Thank you to the doctor, nurses, and receptionists!
This is my second visit , I overly the staff especially NESHIA , always making sure I’m comfortable, so sweet, and can hold a conversation through the process . She’s one of the best! Thank you Neshia!!❤️
Thanks to Cameo (at the front desk) and Takoya (the manager) my experience was nothing short of amazing. Everyone was so kind and understanding throughout my entire visit. i was blessed in an unexpected way by Cameo and Takoya. Incredibly grateful for both the services and workers at this location.
Today was my first time ever visiting a PP, needless to say I was nervous. Not just because of the reason for my visit but I’ve only heard negative things. However, I was truly impressed and thankful for the staff and services. Although I realize everyone’s situation is different, upon arriving and meeting with the staff I felt comfortable and more at ease.Chelsea took care of my check in, making it easy and hassle free. Neshia took me to the exam room and I immediately felt comfortable and even shared some laughs with her, even though it wasn’t a ideal situation. She also did a fantastic and pain free job getting my blood drawn! I saw the ARNP Kristin and she also was caring, kind and so helpful. Offering services I didn’t know where available to me. I am very thankful to have had a great experience today. Thank you for this!! Again, I realize everyone’s experience and reasons for visiting may differ. This is just mine.
I went to have an IUD placed, and I had an amazing experience! The nurse that checked me in and the NP that put the IUD in were both wonderful and made me feel totally at ease. It was waaaaaayyy less painful than the first time I had one in at an OBGYN office and the whole procedure took about 2 minutes. I was really nervous coming here because its not my usual doctors office, but I didnt want to wait the month to have it ordered at my gynecologist. If youre nervous, dont be!
Giving 3 stars because I had made an appointment and still had to wait over an hour to be seen/appointment took 2 1/2 hours total, BUT the staff made this visit worth the good review. Takoya is an amazing addition to your staff and Kristin was extremely kind as well! I have been to numerous female health clinics in Tallahassee and this was by far my best experience in regards to staff friendliness.
Kristin and Abbey are the BEST! They made me feel heard and safe throughout my time in their care. Their patience and empathy meant the world. The PP scheduling system is flawed though, as upon arrival I was told my appointment didnt exist (despite receiving several confirmation texts), but the staff was kind and went above and beyond to help me still get seen that day.
First time visit and all the staff was so nice and comforting. Neshia drew my blood w two arm casts on and couldn’t have been more gentle
If I could 0 stars I would. I understand they are offering services for women that we couldn’t otherwise get from anywhere else, but I do not understand why the appointments are unnecessarily long. You just wait in different waiting rooms for majority of the time you are there. We drove 6 hours for a 4 hour appointment. This was an overall horrible experience. If at all possible choose another facility.
Two appointments canceled last minute, on the facilities end. Very sweet & respectful staff, but I am now faced with having another child I wasn’t prepared for because I simply cannot get seen in a timely manner due to the first apt. cancellation, an ultrasound tech didn’t arrive to work. Second apt., all surgical techs allegedly caught Covid. So after a two hour drive, my apt was canceled again upon arrival. I hope I can get the $275 back I already have given them.
Ok, so Ill go ahead and give them 5 stars despite the 4hr wait the day of my procedure and the fact that the anxiety/pain medication given in my IV did absolutely nothing for me. (It hurt like h*ll.)Heres my story...My experience with the staff and Dr. P was amazing. Everyone made me feel super comfortable and safe and I didnt feel judged at all even though my procedure was literally a life or death choice for me. Never in a million years did I picture myself ever getting or needing an abortion, but sadly, due to my own health issues, I had no safer alternative, even though I wouldve loved to have had the baby. I have a child already that I have to think of and being that my husband/her father is terminally ill, I simply couldnt risk carrying the baby to term and potentially making my child (and a newborn) an orphan. So, with all that being said, from start to finish, the staff at PP helped me thru an absolutely horrific experience. They were so attentive and compassionate and Dr. P truly is phenomenal. He has the most amazing bedside manner of any doctor Ive ever seen and made this experience a lot less stressful. Yes, it did hurt, but that just comes with the territory for some people. I was one of the unlucky ones. I will say though, the only 2 things that were negative about my visit were the 4 hour wait on procedure day and also the fact that the clinic tried to cancel/reschedule my appt the night before my appt when I had already checked in to my hotel in Tallahassee. They asked me if I could drive to Jacksonville, which wouldve been another 4-5hrs of driving for me and wouldve meant checking in to another hotel. But once I told them that wouldnt be possible and that I was already at my hotel, they said it was fine and my appt stayed the same. However, due to their overbooking, I wasnt seen for my procedure for several hours. My appt was at 10:30am and I wasnt seen until after 2pm then I was in recovery for another half hour after my procedure. The waiting sucked big time, but all in all, they did help me out significantly with financial assistance and they were able to squeeze me in for a sooner an appt than I was originally scheduled for and with procedures like this, time is literally money. The further along you are, the more it costs (and hurts) and the less chance you have of getting an appt. You have to schedule your 2 appointments as soon as possible! So, with all that being said, my takeaway from all of this is... if you suspect that you are pregnant, DONT WAIT and dont believe the first test you take after your first missed period. Mine was a false negative TWICE which led me to believe I wasnt pg and by the time I found out I was actually pg, I was almost unable to schedule an appt. If not for the amazing PP staff reaching out and making calls on my behalf, I wouldnt have been able to get it in time and I very well could have died. So, thank you to everyone within PP. The call center, the financial aid office staff, the clinic staff, the nurses and Dr. P. I admit that I am struggling to cope with my decision, but Im still very aware of the necessity of the choice I made that day and I am grateful to all of you. Planned Parenthood in Tallahassee and PP as a whole genuinely does care about womens health and they will make you feel safe and cared for.
I had a pretty good experience coming here, Abbey was so sweet an heartfelt, She made me feel completely comfortable and safe and made sure I knew everything to expect about my procedure before I actually followed through. Definitely was a blessing meeting her and I surely will be back to see her if I have anymore questions or concerns.
I went to this office as a new patient yesterday. From entering the front door to leaving, everyone part of the service and medical staff was AMAZING. They were super kind, sweet, and funny! I was smiling the whole time. Dr. Pilc was wonderful. He talked me through the whole procedure, explained the possible side effects of the product, and ensured I was comfortable through it all. I’m definitely going to continue coming to this office in the future!
One of the worst experiences Ive had dealing with a Planned Parenthood clinic. I made an appointment an entire month beforehand and consistently called to make sure my appointment was still happening on March 16th. Why had no one contacted me before the actual appointment day that the doctor wasnt going to be able to perform my in-clinic procedure? I got a call from a dismissive receptionist 20 minutes before my appointment stating that it was going to have to be rescheduled after I had already traveled out of state for my visit. This is the most disrespectful, demeaning, and horrible experience when it comes to health, safety, and finances. I want reimbursement for this entire experience. No one at this clinic was helpful.
I’ve had set an appointment with planned parenthood I had to wait a month for my appointment. I’ve went to my first appointment then I had to come back after 24hrs to take the abortion pills. Made it to my appointment for the 3rd time they kept rescheduling my appointments because there’s no doctors available?? I drove every 4 hrs to doctors that never want to show up for my appointment. Now I’m past due to take the pills..They told me I have to come back next week to have surgery and that’s honestly NOT what I signed up for.. It’s not fair for me to wait for doctors that can’t show up for work. Its beyond ridiculous. I would not recommend this clinic.
By far the best experience I could have imagined. Staff was extremely kind, respectful, and made me feel comfortable the entire visit. I will forever be thankful for their help. I could tell I was in good hands as well. The nurses and doctor are very experienced. They also highly value patient privacy, which I appreciated. Thank you, for everything.
This is my first time ever leaving a negative review, but the stress that this facility has caused me is certainly deserving. Over two weeks ago, I booked an appointment online for a simple birth control refill. When I arrived, I was told my appointment did not exist and had to show my online confirmation in order to be seen. Once I was seen and paid for my updated prescription, I was told my new prescription would be available at the pharmacy. I went to the pharmacy and they said that it had never been refilled. I had spent over 3 hours on hold in the past 2 weeks with Planned Parenthood’s service line to find out that my birthdate had been entered into the system incorrectly (even though they retrieve all of your information from your driver’s license) and a new file had been created. I was told that they would call the pharmacy and correct this issue within 48 hours.A week passed and still no refill. I went into the facility today for a different appointment that the receptionist scheduled at 9 AM to find out that they don’t even open until 10 AM. When I was finally able to explain the situation, I asked for a paper prescription with the correct birthdate. An hour later, I was brought a paper with the wrong birthdate AGAIN.After two weeks of dealing with carelessness, I can safely say that I do NOT trust this facility with my body and I do not feel safe returning for mental/physical wellbeing.
This is the most traumatizing experience I have ever been through and unfortunately it still continues. I had an appointment scheduled and they called me three hours before my appointment to tell me it was canceled. I was in the middle of another appointment so I couldn’t call back for another hour and half. They called me twice within 10 minutes as if I didn’t answer the first time, I would answer 10 minutes later. They also seemed to have called from a personal number rather than the site since it wasn’t a Tallahassee number that called me. The voicemail they left said I could schedule and appointment within the week but when I called they didn’t have anything available for another month. The only answer I got was “I labeled this as high importance and the staff will reach out to accommodate you” like I’m the one who canceled my appointment. Now instead of being able to do the required consultation and potentially surgical abortion, I have to wait and hope they can fit me in somewhere for an appointment that I already waited a month for. This is ridiculous and my mental health is just down the drain from the absolute lack of care. While I may still have to go to this clinic I would never recommend anyone go here unless there is quite literally no other choice.
My experience here was okay. There was a miscommunication between the call center and the actual facility so I was set for the wrong appointment twice. Once I got in for the correct appointment I waited a little over an hour but I successfully got a birth control implant. It was not a bad experience but there was a bit of a wait because they are understaffed. I would use this facility again.
I had a great experience in 2018 at this clinic...this past December not so much. The PA argued with me about getting a PAP test. She talked over me and just seemed more interested in getting to the next patient because she was running behind.I had some blood work done and they said they would call me with the results. THEY DID NOT. Then when I called to get the results, they said I should have received a card with a number on it. I DID NOT.I spent $200 for blood work and still dont know the results weeks later. I could have a medical condition that needs a follow up?????I wanted to support Planned Parenthood with my donations and business but I think I will have to find a gynecologist near me now.
I haven’t been to the clinic yet, but my experience with the receptionist, Adrianna was excellent. i became emotional on the phone, and every time i apologized she assured me “it’s okay girl, let it out”. she was very emotionally supportive, understanding and informative. 10/10!
The entire staff in this building are some of the most kind, gentle, reassuring, and professional people I have ever had the privilege of being helped by. From start to finish I was cared for and educated throughly on every single choice I had. I never once felt judged, unheard, or unsafe. It takes someone really special to make you feel that way when you’re in such a dark place and the entire staff happen to be those types of people. I hope every single one of them go home at night knowing how important what they do is. I am so grateful to have made the right choice at the right place.
Staff is extremely sweet and helpful. The nurse practitioner Ms.Carolyn is wonderful and is always super understanding. The wait times are never long. Nothing but good things to say about this office. Would definitely recommend!
The staff is so nice and helpful. When no other doctors office would take my insurance because I’m not pregnant, planned parenthood took care of me. They take Medicaid and we’re able to get me in to see a doctor quickly. I am very pleased with my visit.
On at least two occasions now, Ive made and confirmed appointments only to get to the facility and the place is closed. I know that tomorrow is Thanksgiving, but it is unacceptable to allow someone to schedule an appointment when youre not open for business.I also took off work to attend this appointment, adding to my frustration.I received a call around 10:30 a.m. this morning regarding the cancellation but, of course, I did not get to listen to it until after the appointment time (4:50 p.m.) because I was at work. I doubt they just decided today that the facility would close at 3 p.m. today so Im unsure as to why I was notified of the change in hours the day of the appointment or even allowed to schedule the appointment for that time.Additionally, I received a reminder text message at 1:02 p.m. providing specific instructions such as wearing a mask.Im highly disappointed, to say the least!
Scheduled an appointment. Received confirmation of appointment. Arrived early to my appointment and was told “Sorry, we are closed. We called you to cancel. Our AC went out.” The only message I received from you was a text confirming my appointment 4 hours prior to the appointment time. If I had known sooner I could have come up with an alternative plan. But no. Then! I get a text this evening saying I missed my appointment yesterday. Will never come here. For a first appointment I am highly disappointed in this institution and will never recommend them to anyone. If I could put zero stars I would.
Ridiculous. I was told a year ago when I got a prescription for the pill that once the refills ran out my pharmacy would just contact them and refill the script. Last month (on a Tuesday) I ordered my pill through my pharmacy, they contacted me and told me they needed approval from my doctor and I didn’t need to do anything further. So I didn’t. I went in to get my pill (on a Saturday) thinking it had been resolved but they never heard back from planned parenthood. I called planned parenthood on Monday (by this time had missed 1 pill because of them) and they said I needed to come in for a checkup to get the script refilled. Would’ve been nice to know. I was issued a one month emergency pack so I wouldn’t miss anymore pills. Went in for an $85 checkup which was completely pointless. Got a script and was told to take it once my emergency pack was through. As that goes, I lost the stupid thing so I called and asked if I could get a new one and they said sure come in. I went in and the person at front desk said “oh ya I have it here I’ll get it signed and send it over” I clarified that I didn’t need to take anything to my pharmacy and he confirmed that and said within a couple hours they should have it filled. I went tonight to pick it up and they never received anything so I have to call yet again to MAYBE get this sorted out. And have missed another day of my contraception because of them. I realize Im to blame for losing the script but if I am told twice that yes it will be sent to my pharmacy today I expect that to happen. I paid $85 for a completely pointless and impersonal checkup just to get the script renewed, at least send it over. Do not recommend going here.
So I called the planned parenthood appointment line 10 days ago and they told me that this PPH had HRT treatment. I booked an appointment drove 2 and a half hours to get here and was told by the front desk that they aren’t providing transgender services. I was under the impression for a week and a half that I was going to be able to have a real consult with a doctor but came out here and was told they were booking me with a telehealth appointment. I just don’t understand why I was told one thing and booked an appointment here just to be told another thing and that i basically wasted my time for something that could have been avoided. I’m currently writing this review in my car that’s overheating in Tallahassee. I live in the Destin area. As I do understand we are in a pandemic, I feel as if it would make sense to be able to communicate that to the people who really need medical help. I am severely disappointed.
Spoke to two different people on the phone before my appointment. One of which rescheduled my appointment for a later time. Neither people mentioned that you were not doing female wellness exams if you’ve had one in the last 3 years. I wasted gas and risked covid exposure just to be turned away for my appointment. First and last time using planned parenthood.
This good rating is almost purely for the lady who works at the front desk; I believe her name is Katherine. On many occasions Ive called or gone into the clinic (for various reasons) and Katherine has always been so nice, warm, and most importantly, nonjudgmental. It is always difficult to discuss personal issues with strangers because of fear of judgment. Katherine has been both sympathetic and empathetic toward all issues Ive come in with and I can tell she truly cares. I hope you see this, Katherine, because you have made certain difficulties so much easier through simple, genuine kindness.
If I could give 10 stars I would. The people who work here genuinely care and it shows. I have never felt more comfortable, safe, and listened to in a medical setting really ever. Thank you 🥺
This place is amazing the staff is charismatic, understanding, and diligent. It’s a safe space. The processes are standard like most doctors offices. They follow-up if necessary. If you need to get services this is the place to go.
To our dear women. This is none of our business. However, I would like women and men to know that God sanctioned this practice in Numbers Chapter 5. Performed by the priest, it was a matter between a man, a women, and God. Certainly, it was no concern of anyone else. I encourage women and men of paternity to exercise your religious freedom to make this decision for yourselves. Blessings to you, but it is really none of my business and I claim my religious liberty to believe so. 🙏 Claim yours now so others can do so also in the future.
The ladies at the front desk are the sweetest, very professional. Not to leave out the very fine nurses on staff. Ive always felt so comfortable and I thank them for their service to this community. Highly recommend.
Professional, efficient caring; the best services you going to find in the gulf south. They treat their patients with dignity, no judgement, no guild, no bs, just the care you need. Facility is new, large, very clean and well managed. If you need help w funds they can help with that too just ask.
If I could give 0 stars I would. They canceled my appointment the day before I was scheduled and I had been waiting a whole month, now I’m out of time.
Those guys are great. Professional, friendly, knowledgeable and will go above and beyond helping you. Friendly atmosphere and clean office. Beautiful interior that makes you feel like youre in good hands!
Ridiculously expensive for an IUD, the cheapest one costs $1,000.00 even with an HMO insurance (FL Blue) and it only lasts 3 years. No gynecologist at the location - you must be referred to a gyno by a nurse, and the gyno is considered a specialty, so is considered more expensive by insurance. Our state and nations healthcare system is so messed up for women and people who arent rich enough to pay out of pocket for preventative birth control. Its preventative medicine, it should be free.I still love and respect the organization -- This was more of a rant against Trump and his administrative changes to allow the October 6th rollback of reproductive health coverage as well as his new rule offering exemptions for employers whose beliefs interfere with offering their employees birth control. Hashtag Handmaids TaleUPDATE:A local PP rep called me and is helping me receive a reduced or free IUD through a program. : )Always and forever in support of this organization! Go, Planned Parenthood!
Very upset at this being a place that prides itself on making birth control and such things available to women. Was told that the service would cost 1,500$ for a type of birth control. I dont want kids, my husband doesnt want kids and getting a good long lasting contraceptive should be easier and not as expensive. Then was referred to getting insurance instead which i can not pay for. Very upset at this being planned parenthood and the health department is better than yall. you have written all over your website whether or not you have or dont have insurance payment options are available. either change your website or change your prices. Rediculous!!
I have been coming to this location for 6 years. Recently, it has been a constant let down. Changed their hours AGAIN with no notice- always inconsistent and incorrectly posted hours.Front desk staff is friendly but slow and unknowledgable. Showed up early for my last appointment and did not get seen until an hour after my appointment time.
Amazing friendly staff. They never made me feel like a problem. They talk to you like a friend. Thanks so much. I was so comfortable.
Love the new building, friendly staff, easy to make appt online and get multiple reminders through text. Was seen even before scheduled time. Very happy with visit.
The ladies are great. Shamart and Ashton helped me initially and were very friendly. I was later helped by Anlee and Ebony and loved their professionalism.
These were some of the nicest, humblest and professional people ever. Thanks for your services and it was a joy meeting EVERYONE.
Complete lying sad excuses for humans. If you have to lie constantly and then lie more you deserve what you get. And if you refuse to follow laws you deserve what you get.
I absolutely love this place the best place for abortions & etc DR JAMES & his staff are the best would recommend DR JAMES if you ever go to planned parenthood in Tallahassee…
I would give it this, I was trying to call and ask about my information cause I moved and she hung the phone up on me!!!!! Her name was Ashley. So rude!!!!!!
They were so kind and helpful and they really cared for me as a person and a patient. I am so grateful for how they treated me.
Great! Highly recommended. Staff is very helpful. My appointment easy and comfortable.
Called me 10 minutes before my appointment to let me know it was cancelled
Ive had nothing but great experiences here.
Didn’t disclose the correctly bill
Very nice people
Amazing quality of care
For me, I give it 10 stars. I was treated very well by both the girl at the reception and the girl who did the ultrasound, the doctor who treated me in general, I felt very comfortable, everyone was very kind and gentle and tried to find a solution to my situation. I only had one day left to have the abortion and it was the day the hurricane passed and PP closed but they did not leave me alone, they looked for a solution to my situation where they scheduled another appointment for me at another PP only further away but it would be open that day to I had the procedure done and to my surprise because I had to travel, they did not charge me for my second appointment. Everything went well, a thousand thanks to PP, super grateful for helping me so much.
