Oh, my goodness. When I first started coming to this office, I would RAVE about how great it was. Things have gone downhill FAST here, and it is so sad. I did not want to take time to write a review, but I was actually encouraged by a staff member to do so because she knows how things have gotten for patients. Arriving to my appointments months back, there would be 3 patients MAX in the waiting room to be seen. Today, I counted (yes, I truly counted) 22 people in the waiting room. This is the trend I have been seeing for the past five or six visits. I used to wait maybe 10 minutes past my appointment time to be called back. Last visit, I waited an hour past my appointment time, not counting additional time in the exam room. Upon asking the front desk if I would be seen soon (need to get home to resume parenting duties), I was told I was next to be called. 4 patients were called before me at that point. Another time, after waiting for my midwife for a long while, she told me that she was so sorry, but nobody had let her know that I was even present at the appointment and checked in. Obviously, that was not her fault, but a reception issue. Another issue is the check-out process. There is nobody to help you check out and schedule your next appointment, so I have been forced to leave without rescheduling for the past two visits, as opposed to waiting in a line SEVEN people deep who are desperately just trying to be checked in. I was told at my appointment today that many front desk workers have quit recently. This is unfortunate, but this is affecting the care of the patients in a negative way. Thank God I am almost ready to deliver. I think I would be skipping many future appointments because of these hassles and frustrations. I have to add that the nurses and midwives are pleasant and fantastic. It is really the waiting room/front desk staff that are issues, and who do not seem to have any concern or empathy for those who are trying to make these appointments happen. Often, they stare at their computer screens while not taking the next patient in line at all. This has led me to call later to just schedule over the phone. Forgive my scattered thoughts. These appointments have become a disorienting, frustrating, low point of the week. :(
This office has been on a fast decline within the past couple months. The amount of “mistakes” they’ve made within the care of my wife has been nothing short of disappointing.1. The office staff is exceptionally rude. The front desk acts like being asked a question or anything to do with them doing their actual job is an inconvenience.2. Good luck ever getting the test results to any procedure or test that they run. The bill will come in the mail before anyone decides to let you know anything. With that being said also good luck trying to reach them to even get those results.3. They never return your phone calls. It’s a wonder how many medical mishaps they must have on their backs from ignoring important questions of those who are having issues (mind you these people are here to help with your HEALTH and or babies health) and have called time after time and left messages only to never receive anything back.4. Wait times are HORRIBLE. You can have an appointment and be waiting hours in the office because your said doctor is out delivering a baby. Which is ironic that they have countless OB doctors in the office yet nobody else can lend in and help one another. Once you finally do get a doctor they’ll rush you out of the office as quick as possible and ignore almost everything asked and your concerns? Yea. They won’t touch them if it doesn’t fit into their schedules.5. With an office that has SO MUCH staff running around 24/7 it sure is like pulling teeth to get anything fully accomplished through them.6. Good luck getting a doctor. Half the time they send you to nurse practitioners and you pay full price for a visit for them to just tell you “kind of out of my league” or “ I can’t treat that”All around a mess.
I dislike leaving negative reviews for healthcare providers because I understand that it is a very difficult field to work in and they usually are just trying their best. However, I am just so upset with the service I received from this place. I feel that ever since they partnered with NorthShore the service has plummeted. It is now impossible to get ahold of your provider or any of their staff (I left about 8 voicemails without a single response), my last two appointments had to get rescheduled because they were double booking patients, and the cherry on top was me never receiving my medication because the staff doesn’t seem to be able to communicate amongst themselves or with insurance companies.
I used to go to this office ONLY because of Dr. Rutherford. Although I hated the office staffs behavior and attitude, I adored Dr. Rutherford. After she quit to become a full-time laborist, needless to say I never went back and here are my reasons:1.) Office staff is INCREDIBLY rude and show no compassion. They work there as if theyre doing us a favor. Its like no, its your job and youre doing no one any favors. They need some professionalism training which clearly hasnt happened considering there are other reviews with this same complaint.2.) It is almost impossible to get someone on the phone. If you miss a phone call from them or need to reschedule, good luck on trying to get a hold of someone. I often wonder if theyre just sitting around trash-talking and letting every phone call bounce.3.) The wait times are ridiculous. Be ready to wait an hour past your appointment time to be seen which is funny because God forbid you show up a few minutes late to your appointment, it is the end of the world.4.) Dr. Strickland is unqualified and her bed-side manner is terrible. Shes so awkward and always looks annoyed. My MIL got an IUD put in by her which is something Dr. Strickland recommended for her fibrosis. Well not even a week later my MIL got terrible, unbearable pain and bleeding that she had to be rushed to the ER. The Dr. said the IUD wasnt put in properly and was infected to the point where it was breaking like cracking inside of her....that is just ridiculous. She had to have it removed urgently and even afterwards, she was in pain for days. OGA is lucky that they havent gotten sued for this.I am happy to say I have started going to a new office at Franciscan with amazing midwives. I am currently 7 months pregnant and have had the best experience with Franciscan. I have never waited more than 5 minutes for my appointment and my lab results come in within 24 hours. 2 of my midwives I see are moving over to NorthShore with OGA after the merger and although I love both them ladies, I refuse to move over with them as I dont want to deal with any of these OGA ladies. I will be sticking with Franciscan.
I am so disappointed in this clinic. I have been seeing Dr Short my entire life as a GYN and I have gone through 4 pregnancies with them as well.I used to tell everyone to come here, I used to love it, now I refuse to make my last few appointments.Ive been a patient here for what has to be at leat 15 years and I delivered my first baby and am about to deliver my second here any day. Over the last few months they have been transitioning as a NorthShore clinic, which immediately put a bad taste in my mouth but I gave it the benefit of the doubt since I loved the doctors and staff.Since the changes.1) wait times are absolutely atrocious. My last three appointments (weekly) have been over two hours. Mind you I wfh and usually have to bring my almost 2 year old daughter with me by myself. So being 8 months pregnant with a toddler running around is hard enough, but now I have to plan to keep her entertained for 2 hours in a busy waiting room.2) the waiting room....theres so many people jam packed in there now that there was no where for me to sit. At 37 weeks pregnant I was left standing.3) since the changes they cant get my charts right. I am frequently asked how far along I am now AND if I am still pregnant with twins. Which I lost one at about 12 weeks...like, please at least get that updated so its not a constant reminder of yet another baby I have miscarried.4) general feeling of being rushed now is terrible. The midwives are in such a hurry that they come in all exhausted looking and out of breath, apologize (which feels insincere because they are rushing) and then proceed to lay you down, measure your belly and listen to heart tones in like 3 minutes while asking if you have any concerns.I want so badly to say its just transition pains but its only gotten progressively worse over the last few months and I really dont see it getting any better. If I wasnt about to have a baby I would have found another office...and most likely will look elsewhere for my womans health after brith.
I have gone to four different OBGYNs over the past decade, and can confirm that the women of OGA are the best Ive ever seen. My first visit was with Dr. Murphy last spring, and she was very laid back while also being to-the-point, which I appreciate. However, my visit with NP Kohler this week was probably the best experience I have ever had with any healthcare provider. She was diligent in asking about my history, very sensitive about touchier subjects, and made it clear that she cares and wants to provide the best care for me, even if that may be different from her previous or next patients of the day. Incredible service, and I can honestly say I am so excited to continue seeing her!
I gave birth to my son here over this past weekend, and the experience here was great to say the least. We had the biggest scare due to the heart monitor going crazy during it, and they thought he might have had a heart murmur a week prior to labor. It’s been 8 years since I gave birth last so I was incredibly nervous and feelings all over the place. I can confidently say if it wasn’t for Jess, Danielle, and the rest of the labor staff my birth experience could have easily gone much differently. I was able to have the birth experience, I wanted & for that I am extremely grateful to them. My baby boy is so handsome, and I’m in love with him. My family is complete. The postpartum nurses were all very kind, and helpful to our healing process. We were even able to take home a meal, so I didn’t have to stress about dinner that first couple days which was very nice/helpful. Thank you to everyone involved! It was an experience, I will never forget!
First time momma here! I saw midwives Jessica and Val for the majority of my pregnancy and both ladies were incredible!Jess delivered my son and I absolutely love her. from my first appointment with her I felt so calm and sure of what was to come. being a first time mom I had a lot of what ifs, questions and fears. Jess never let me leave without knowing what to expect and making sure I felt heard, calm, safe and cared for.during delivery I was going THROUGH IT🤣 as soon as Jess came in the room I felt so calm and relaxed. like my best friend was there and I knew everything would be ok. Jess coached me through delivery, hearing me when I said I had to push or I needed a break and she allowed my body to do what it needed to. she was amazingly calm and celebrated with me when my son entered the world.I am so thankful I had Jess through my pregnancy and delivery. she will forever be a part of my family now. if youre a patient at OGA definitely meet Jess!! ❤️❤️😁
Always waiting 15+ minutes after my appointment time, up to an hour and a half of waiting at one visit. Very hard to reach on the phone, even during normal business hours. Staff is all very nice. Facility is nice. I wish the logistics were better.
My doctor is incredible, and thats why I still endure the following criticisms of the offices disfunction: It is extremely difficult just to call the office and reach a person. Trying to make an appointment(as en established patient even) takes two months and if the first date they give you doesnt work, its another month out for the next available time they offer. I arrived at least ten minutes before my appointment(all registration completed online the day before) and waited 40 minutes in the office before being called to the exam room. Once in the examination room, I waited another 20 minutes to be seen by my doctor. Major improvement needs to be made in the offices efficiency. I hope this is something Northshore will address since the merger!
Does not return callsDrs are wonderful- Strickland delivered 3 of my kids. But when I’ve been struggling with problems the nurses and office ladies are extremely heartless. Did not even take the time to call with my HCG results- I found out I miscarried by calling the lab to get my results. It’s now been 3 days still no call with results, no empathy shown, no offer of an appointment. No voicemails returned. Made an appointment with a new OB who when I scheduled the scheduling lady and nurse were extremely sincere about my situation and are getting me in today less than 24hrs after calling. I love Strickland but will not be returning due to rude office ladies and nurses who don’t care enough and just give you a number when you’re going through something difficult.
I had a surgery recently, my health has been deteriorating since(not affiliated with this company). i’ve seen every doctor around here. I was so excited to find private health care hoping it would be better than the offices I have been seeing. My actual GYN was amazing. I came in for a separate appointment for something small with RN Kohler. I had an appointment booked. I arrived early, was checked in. I was called back before my appointment time. My weight and little things were collected by a lovely lady, then instructed me to strip below the waist and my nurse will be right in. I am constantly in pain but thats my own problem, i would assume other patients are most likely not feeling to great when they come to see a doctor. So i sit and i wait completely bare and one with the rough paper on the bed. I waited almost an hour from the schedule time until i was seen, not when i was brought into the room. Not the happiest but it happens. When she does walk into the room I am in pain on the brink of tears, uncomfortable, and frustrated she asks “oh whats wrong you seem like somethings wrong?” not talking about my health, talking about my mood. I was not being rude or disrespectful in anyway in our conversation before she askes this. I start explaining and the more i talk im in more pain and just getting more frustrated and i start crying. During my entire verbal answer to her question i did not raise my voice, i was not rude, and i was not disrespectful. Her response was her attempting to put me on SSRI’s that can truly mess someone up. Those were the very first words out of her mouth. She did this after knowing me for maybe 3 minutes. I then got a very long lecture about anxiety and depression which i have neither, i have seen 30 different kinds of doctors in 6 months. My headspace is good, all she had to do was attempt to read my chart. I found this behavior so disgusting i canceled future appointments because although my GYN was great, who in that building lets her think that is acceptable?
The care I recently received at this office was nothing more than disappointing. I had been calling this office frequently regarding some early pregnancy symptoms and something not quite feeling right, only to have really been dismissed time and time again. I was given ONE HCG test, it was never repeated though I expressed my concerns (should be doubling every 48 hours in normal early pregnancy). I was also scheduled for an early ultrasound that needed to be repeated. I was scheduled to repeat the ultrasound in 3 weeks. Unusual symptoms persisted and continuing to contact the office now provided me with responses like “be patient” (yes, from a provider here). So due to my persistence, they allowed me an earlier scan a week later, only to confirm my fear - I had suffered a missed miscarriage. Once it was realized, I was ASKED if I wanted to see a doctor. Shouldn’t this be courtesy? Shouldn’t someone make time in their day to explain to me what I’m about to go through? Provide me with warning signs and options and a time frame? No provider would make time to see me before they knew my pregnancy was “viable” but I’m a human being, too, with emotions and questions and because nothing was confirmed “viable”, I was not worth their time of day. I was able to see a provider (who was kind to me but I’m still in shock that I was asked if I wanted to see someone) after my miscarriage was confirmed but am still left with so many unanswered questions (as I’m sure many are in my position). Women that suffer a miscarriage also deserve care. We deserve compassion, your time, and most of all - honesty. Although there was likely nothing that could’ve been done to prevent the miscarriage, someone’s time and compassion would’ve been a start. I’ve been a patient here for years and this really sinks in the care they’re willing to provide. My heart hurts. And this place certainly didn’t lessen the sting at all.
Dr. Short hands-down is the best! I’m so glad I have trusted her and her amazing team to take care of all of my medical needs. I recently had surgery and was so nervous, but I have to say Dr. Short and the surgical staff was the best I have ever had, no pain, no nausea or sickness from the anesthetic. Overall a very caring team! My recovery has been very easy as well. So thankful for the way I have been taken care of! I have already sent friends to her!
Dr. Strickland is amazing! All the women In my family love her and highly recommend her to everyone we know. Dr. Strickland recently placed an IUD for me and I had a very positive experience. She offered laughing gas to help with my anxiety and pain relating to the procedure and it made a huge difference. She was patient and kind and did everything as I was ready for it. Overall I had a great experience and highly recommend her to others!
I cannot say enough wonderful things about this practice. The doctors are wonderful, especially Dr. Rutherford and Dr. Short. My mom and sister started seeing Dr. Short over 20 years ago and have always thought the world of her. I have always seen Dr. Rutherford and I was blessed to have her deliver both of my babies. High recommend!
I had an IUD placed today. I was extremely nervous prior to the procedure. Dr. Strickland and her staff were amazing and understanding! She told me I could have Laughing Gas if I wanted. I chose that option and it was wonderful!! Having that option made this procedure so much easier and less stressful. I was able to leave shortly afterwards and drive myself home. I highly recommend Dr Strickland, her staff, and the Laughing Gas option.
The entire staff is amazing. I love my doctor, Karen G. King, M.D. She is very sweet, friendly, and easy to feel comfortable around. I have had nothing but pleasant and happy experiences here. Definitely recommend if you’re looking for a great OB/GYN office.
Dr. Murphy is amazing. She’s laid-back yet professional, and extremely thorough when explaining things (draws diagrams and all). I felt heard and validated from my very first appointment, and like she gave me all the information I needed to make the best decisions about my healthcare. 100 stars! Nurses and other staff were great as well.
Dr Short and nurse practitioner Michele are such caring and very easy going when it comes to your yearly check ups and also working with pharmaceutical for other treatments I have done. They always have the best bedside approach and patient care system and I look forward to always getting the best of care from both. Staff is always very cordial and always feel welcomed. I would recommend highly.
It is near impossible to reach someone by phone at this office. If you do manage to get through to someone, you will likely hear a click & have to call back again. The directions are not clear as to how to get to the office either. The nurse practitioner, Ann rushed me through my appointment and did not address my concerns at all. I knew she was in a rush because she scrambled out of the door & started speed walking down the hall after the appointment (without saying greetings or goodbyes). I had to find my way to the front desk by myself. I am very dissatisfied as a first time patient & I will not be returning. I do NOT recommend.
Dr Jen Murphy is awesome. I will use this office again in the future. She made the right call and moved the C-section up 2.5 weeks due to medical issues. I felt totally confident and comfortable with her in charge of my high risk pregnancy.
From the reception to the providers, Ive had several pleasant experiences with everyone here during my pregnancy. I never feel rushed during my appointments or feel like just a number. I believe the providers are genuine in their care in every step of the pregnancy and delivery process. I look forward to sharing my birth experience with them.
Ive been going to Obstetrical and Gynecological associates for many years and when I finally decided to have a baby I was so glad I chose to stay with them. I met all of the doctors during the pregnancy process. All of the doctors, nurses and staff were very friendly and professional. I have terrible anxiety with blood draws and they made it so easy and took great care of me. I highly recommend choosing them for your womanly needs!
I absolutely love Dr. Strickland. Shes soft spoken, easy to talk to and will be thorough in any necessary explanations. She educates her patients on choices without pushing anything on them. She also stays up to date on new procedures, medications and the like.I only see female OB/GYNs which has made it a bit difficult when I have relocated through the years. When I moved back to Indiana after years of living in another state, it took me several years and many visits to different doctors & NPs before I found Dr. Crystal Strickland and this practice with several women practitioners. In this regard the practice is a lot like one I went to in another state, but the doctor-patient communication here is so much better!I highly recommend the doctors at this office. Theyre worth the drive from the rural town I live in. Driving up to an hour for a good doctor youre comfortable with is well worth it in my opinion.#greatdoctors
I absolutely love Dr Strickland! She delivered my second child and I always found her to be a straight shooter, pleasant, thoughtful, and a good listener! I continue to see her for my basic obygyn needs. Im very appreciative of the entire practice! I never have to wait very long in the new location, and the office staff is all very efficient.
Dr. Strickland gave my husband and I the scare of our lives sending us for an emergency ultrasound without telling us it was standard practice. She implied a miscarriage and the staffs reaction confirmed that it was a miscarriage. Luckily it was not a miscarriage however, the on call doctor didn’t call us that evening with the results like we were told would happen. I found out from a message on the portal at 9:00am the next day that my ultrasound was normal. Then they never called to reschedule that visit, so no blood work was done or urine screen but I got charged for the full visit. So now I want to switch practices to continue my care but the practice manager said they have 30 days to send my records. I am unable to move to a new practice until they send my records. I’ll be 17 weeks in 30 days and will have had no screenings or blood work done. I’ve never felt like a place cared less about me then the people here.
I was a patient here for 21 years following them from address to address over the years. I call one day and speak to a person in training who I was very nice to. The trainee asked the office ladies some questions without me on hold. I heard the office women speak about me in a scathing fashion insinuating I was stupid. I was frustrated and again nice to the trainee but said words about the woman I heard in the background. Due to this and me saying I may try to find a new office was enough for me to receive a certified letter terminating my patient/client relationship. THIS IS AFTER 21 YEARS OF ME BEING THEIR PATIENT!!!!!! I didn’t receive a call asking about the situation or anything. Just a cowardly letter in the mail.I have received good care there but it is impossible to get in and the office women seem to hate their job and take it out on the patients.
Please dont go here. I went here when I was pregnant with my 1st. Apart from Dr. Rutherford these doctors do not care about your well being. Appointments are rushed, doctors are rude. My water broke on my way to an appointment. They had me uncomfortably walk in SOAKING wet underwear to the hospital (its not a terribly long walk but it was still very uncomfortable given my water broke) to give birth. Most doctors here constantly made me feel so terrible about my weight. Just an all around bad experience my whole pregnancy. I am with a new OB affiliated with St. Mary and the care and compassion I am shown compared to OBGYN Associate’s is night and day. Avoid this place like the plague
Dr. Short is the best doctor I’ve ever had. I’ve been seeing her since I was a a teenager. I had a cyst on my ovary and was terrified of having surgery back then (it was my first!) and she got me through it and hasn’t stopped being awesome. She always makes sure she takes all the time I need to answer all my questions. And she has never hurt me when she examines me.
Extremely professional group of physicians! I have always had a great experience here with my pregnancies even through Covid. The staff is responsive and compassionate. Erin at the OB triage desk is very helpful and always calls back same day if I have questions. You truly cant lose with this group!
Im going to save you the horrific details of my appointment. In short: if you want quality care, professionalism, and great bedside manner do not see Dr. Strickland. My entire appointment was rushed and she was 30 minutes late. Upon entering, she said thanks for waiting What was I supposed to do? It was my first exam ever and Dr.S didnt answer any of my questions beforehand. During the exam she was very rough and not telling me what she was doing when she was doing it (which was jarring for someone who has never gone before). The whole appointment lasted less that 10 minutes, and those were the most uncomfortable 10 minutes ever. (I wish I could share the horrific details because theres more)I contacted the office manager Sarah, who defended the office aggressively. Some of the things said were we havent had a lot of 22 year olds that havent been to an exam, We have never had a complaint, Everything that happened was totally normal, Im not a doctor (ironic right). Overall she was thinking I was questioning Dr.S medical abilities, which I was not. I was questioning her bedside manner and compassion. I even was crying during the phone call because I was that upset. Upon spreading my story, I have had many of my friends come forward and talk about how they had some bad experiences with Dr.S.I later realized Sarah had been gaslighting me. Never in my life have I felt compelled to complain about a healthcare professional or leave a review like this, that should tell you something.
I want to start off by making it known the Drs here are AMAZING. They are the reason I continue to be seen here. 5 stars when it comes to all of them especially Rutherford! Dr Rutherford was so compassionate when I experienced a loss last year , I solely came back just for her. However I gave three stars due to a staff member, Erica, who has just left such a bad, sour taste in my mouth. My first bad experience was A year and a half ago when I had lost my pregnancy. Erin was out of town for a week & Erica unfortunately took over. She not only brushed me off when I called saying I was in pain & was afraid I was miscarrying but she told me I was “too early”. I’m sorry…what? Early or not, I was very emotional and heartbroken. Then when She left me voicemail she was gossiping to someone else in the room then finally realizes she was leaving a message to me!! So unprofessional especially when your dealing with someone who is experiencing pregnancy loss! There were a couple other things such as forgetting to call me as I was panicking over I lost my pregnancy or not. I felt abandoned by this place because after talking to Erica I heard nothing back. Was I supposed to get checked? Did I for sure lose the pregnancy? Erica had failed to tell me that the dr wanted to see me to check up on me. A week passed when Erin finally called appologizing profusely, relaying messages erica failed to.Then today I look at my chart for my glucose test and it said it was approved, even tho my levels were 18 points higher than it should me. Guess who approved it? ERICA.The carelessness, no compassion & unprofessionalism with her is rediculous. I want her no where near my medical records.I will say Erin has been nothing but great
Andrea is top notch, all the nurses and midwives and doctors are amazing, almost makes you want to have another baby!!! Highly recommend all of them
I love this practice and have thing but good things to say about all the ladies working here. I see Dr. Short and would recommend her or her colleagues to anyone. Ive always had great listening ears and a variety of options at my disposal. Great office all around.
Im not one to post reviews (at all) but I wish Id known how poor this office was before I made an appointment..... called to make an appointment about a month ago. Next available appointment is in 3 weeks. Okay, fine. 3 weeks passed and the day before, I get a voicemail saying my appointment has been canceled and to call them back. I try calling back 3 times (leaving my number and name as a voicemail) but dont hear anything back--not to reschedule my appointment or anything. A week later, I get an email saying I have a new balance and I look to see Ive been charged $75 for a no-show fee. So, so annoyed and no one in the office/billing department is picking up when I call. One of the worst healthcare experiences Ive had in a while, all for a pretty routine visit. I dont recommend the experience for anyone!
I have been going to this group for health care for probably 15 years. Every person there is kind and the doctors/practitioners are wonderful. All questions are answered and we come to a decision together on my care.
Horrible customer service!!! Had a young woman take my blood and literally said maybe 3 words to me, and I hate needles. Did not make me feel comfortable at all. Every time I come into the office with concerns they are dismissed by nurse practitioners and I feel disregarded. I have had to reschedule appointments multiple times because of miscommunication between staff, and today (after finally getting an appt with my doctor and not a nurse practitioner) I had to reschedule once again after waiting for an HOUR because my doctor was on call and got called in for an emergency c-section. Who takes appointments when they are on call?!? I will not be coming back to this location until they learn to put their patients FIRST and get some more personable staff.
Had the Morpheus laser treatment for upper arms . Amazing results for a non-invasive procedure , Would highly recommend this place ! Ashley is so personable and made me feel very comfortable, staff are very friendly and knowledgeable!
Our midwife Jackie was well educated, clear, and concise with all of the new info she gave us during our first visit!
Have loved being a patient with OGA. The nurses and doctors made all the appointments during my pregnancy good experiences. Dr Strickland was there when I delivered, and was so great!
All of the doctors at this practice are compassionate, thorough, and understanding. I have been a patient since I was 17 years old and have delivered all 3 of my children with them, and I will never go anywhere else! I am truly thankful for the care I have received throughout the years.
This is my second pregnancy with them, and I couldnt imagine going anywhere else. All four of the doctors are amazing. They are great at responding to online messages thru the patient portal, which is easy to use and nice to be able to view all your records. I only gave 4 stars just because its hard to get thru to anyone on the telephone. And scheduling isnt always the best.. but, as far as knowledge and health goes, I feel so safe and comfortable here!
Maureen preformed my first ultrasound at this practice and I was very stressed because of my health conditions. She was kind, professional and reassuring. She made my first impression one of welcome and trust. She is a gem.
Dr. Rutherford is simply the best in every area of her field. She truly listens and cares what you you are concerned about. I truly feel she is the most compassionate doctor in her field. I feel truly fortunate to have her as my doctor.
All four of the doctors are great and I felt well taken care of during my pregnancy. I felt that they took my concerns seriously and really listened to what I had to say. Dr. Rutherford was an angel during my delivery and I cannot speak any more highly of her! Thank you!
I’ve called five times over the past month and cannot get ahold of anyone to make an appointment.
Thank you, Dr. Murphy for your help with my bladder prolapse condition. The pessary is wonderful! Its also good that you offer Hormone Replacement Therapy. My testosterone level had gone so low that all my muscles felt like they had dried out and were very painful. I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia because of this several years ago. Testosterone therapy helps my muscles to be less painful and stronger again.
Dr R -5 months ago you responded to a Laura Alyce Black. In her review she made some pretty hefty claims that you dismissed by saying she was confused as to the practice.I was a patient there for one pregnancy and when I needed an OB/GYN again because I was again expecting I left. Why? Dr Cheryl Short. Two specific points Laura made is part of the complaint I have against Dr Cheryl Short.Laura made a review and you didn’t like it. So you told her she was confused. That is condescending and to be blunt a gas lighting tactic which is abusive and only proving why OGA does not have the stellar reviews of years past.
I tried out several obgyns before coming here, and they are the ONLY people I feel comfortable with. When I make appointments, I dont even care which NP I get. All of them are wonderful. I see some of the reviews have negative things to say about the lab ladies. For the record, they work for LabCorps, not obgyn associates directly, so I dont think thats a fair critcism. The doctors and their direct staff are all friendly, professional, and prompt.
Love love love it here. My first visit was so smooth and professional.
Left 4 different messages 4 different times … still have not heard back
I’ve had another birth outside of NWI which only further confirmed how poor the care I received here during my first pregnancy was. Highlights: criticism about weight gained in pregnancy, no birth plan, befuddlement when I asked to know their C-section rates (higher than national average in 2012), nursing staff at hospital encouraging Epidural (gave in and ended up with spinal headache and postpartum urological complications), doctor gossiping with nurse during my delivery, and agitation from on call doc during postpartum period when I called in about infection concerns. It turned out I had some pretty significant postpartum urological complications that they did not catch and my bladder almost burst. I’m still dealing with consequences of the poor postpartum care.
I recently had a procedure done with Anne Pearl, NP and she is amazing! She is very compassionate and takes her time with you!
Dr. Strickland takes wonderful care of her patients; the entire staff is kind, thoughtful, and accomodating.
I highly recommend all four doctors at OGA. We have safely delivered one healthy baby with them and are expecting a second! We have been extremely pleased with our care!
The staff are friendly and caring, but they are chronically late and slow. Plan to wait 30-45 minutes in the waiting room before getting called back.
I have used the wellness program for a few years and lost so much weight and gained ao much energy and self-esteem. This is a great program and I recommend this for anyone wanting to lose weight and feel better about themselves!
Here at this establishment all the staff, from the nurses to the doctors, are phenomenal! Dr. Strickland was amazing for the birthing process.
It has been awhile since I have had an appointment but I have always been happy with my visits and would feel comfortable discussing any issue that may arise.
Dr. Murphy listened to my getting older issues, worked with me to find solutions, and encouraged my feedback to find what works best for me. I am so happy with the results.
Dr Short and her staff are wonderful! Medically exceptional with an always kind and caring attitude. Thank you OGA!
Dr. Rutherford is an amazing woman, very thankful for finally finding a wonderful, patient, understanding doctor that actually cares :)
The most unprofessional office and worst customer service! DO NOT waste your time or money! Stephanie in billing will call you a liar, labs will be lost, and no one will accept responsibility. BEWARE!
Dr. Short and team are the best around! I would highly recommend them to friends and foes. Excellent care, professional and always address my needs or concerns.
Dr. Strickland and her staff are great. The wellness program works! Lost 90# so far.
Love the 7:30 am appointment! Was checked out by 7:45 am. Thanks, Dr. Strickland and associates!
Dr. Murphy is the best! HRT has changed everything…for the better!!!
Pathetic excuse for a doctors office! 2 wks and no phone calls from scheduling... not even a return call from Dana who is in charge of all scheduling.
Wonderful care doctors and the staff is so kind and helpful. I would highly recommend this office to anyone
Love the office staff from the receptionists, to the lab techs, to the doctors. All have been fabulous!
Always helpful and friendly staff! Dr. Short is amazing!
Always a pleasant atmosphere and interaction with staff.
Absolutely LOVE DR.MURPHY!
Friendly and experienced staff
Doctors are very good here
I made an appointment in May 2024. The earliest I could see the doctor was in November, so I scheduled the appointment. I received a call two weeks ago from the doctor’s office asking if they could reschedule me for 4 days later than the original date. Sure, no problem. Today I received another call from the doctor’s office informing me the doctor will not be in on the date they asked me to reschedule to. A nurse practitioner has availability, but if I want to see the doctor the earliest available date is in April 2025. Another six months (almost a year total) is too long to wait for a routine checkup.
It really saddens me to have to leave this review because I used to absolutely love OGA.My first pregnancy with them was amazing. So I had no doubts about making my appointments with them for my second but let’s just say I am so glad I will never have to go back. I didn’t even go to my postpartum appointment because I simply don’t have 3 hours I can take out of the day to go.I will apologize to Dr. Short, Jess, Jackie, and Cindy for posting a bad review because they are all genuinely amazing at what they do however the corporation that OGA merged with unfortunately took away everything that OGA was.Unfortunately, I dont recommend coming here anymore.
