I appreciate the good work being done by the staff and providers at this facility.
I went for a consultation with an oral surgeon here back in September. They told me after they contact the insurance company they will get back to me. It’s been 4 months and I have not recieved a single call. In fact I had to call numerous times and every time they tell me no one ever sent out anything to the insurance company and they will send it soon. I am in a lot of pain and need to have a procedure done soon as possible because I am having difficulty eating. I’m pretty sure it doesn’t take 4 months to have this sorted out. I am talking in a really polite manner and the receptionist keeps telling me she is the doing the work of 3 people and nothing can be done until January because the new schedule isn’t available yet. How does that relate to my situation? And if it is taking longer wait time, isn’t it their responsibility to notify us? I just need to know about the insurance covering for my procedure. This whole time I have been extremely patient and polite but this is unprofessional and completely unacceptable.
I am here at the eye doctor my appointment was set for 9.20am I am still sitting waiting, but I bet if I was late I would not be seen, but they did see a person that was late before me I do not understand why was I set for a appointment that they can not accommodate smh I wish I knew who to reach out too this really needs to get better. They dont deserve a star.
I was truly happy with the services I received today! The staff were very hospitable towards my situation even though I didnt have an appointment and they werent taking walk ins. The boil on my inner left thigh had gotten infected and it was painful to walk & sit down. After the doctor lanced it, I felt better and picked up antibiotics to help heal my wound! It was a pleasant experience! Thanks a bunch ladies!!! Keep up the good work!!!!!😁
Customer service has changed at this location. Greeters at the door is pleasant One of the Patient Registration Clerks that probably has worked there since they opened is inpatient and a bit rude towards customers and never greets you with a smile. Check- In Pads never seem to work. I have never had to wait for more than 1hour & a hf to be seen, lately less than an hour wait time for me. Im happy the location is in the neighborhood to help a very busy community keep striving.
My experience I been coming to this urgent Care clinic since it was Hunt Place Clinic really since birth. Now I am 44 years of age they are so e dope Doctors. Dr. Tiffany Garrett she is the best and she show she really care about her craft. 10 stars I love this urgent care!!
I would give it to Stars if I could Id say one and a half and thats only because the building is clean in the parking isnt too bad. What makes it bad is that theres a bunch of unprofessional people scheduling appointments , everybody is overbooked, and you end up on sitting here for a long periods of time and the only way to find out is to physically walk up there to see whats going on. For example my daughters dermatologist appointment was for today and 2:30 I did arrive a little early cuz I thought that they would be paperwork and stuff I would need to fill out because this is our first time at this Unity. So I got here about 1:45. No paperwork just my ID fill out a papers on me if I have money or if Im unemployed. So I signed it gave it back to give me back my ID told me the doctor will be right with me and went over there sat down. Now its 2:36 and some told me to get up walk over there and see what the status is or ask if theres any paperwork I need to fill out. She just now informs me that the doctor is tripled booked and she doesnt know what time I will be seen today. Wow, got to love the communication huh? So I wonder if I would have said it without trying to be proactive and see whats going on but I still be sitting here to dinner time? I think theyre thinks need to be better. I refuse to bring my daughter back here, I will be looking for an alternative place. First time and last time. Sorry about the spelling please bear with me Im frustrated I took off work early to make sure that I had enough time to pick her up from school in to be here. I didnt have the energy to text all this so everything is being done text to talk. I hope if you decide to come here you have a better experience than I did.
I have had the worst experience working with the dental department of Unity Health. The first issue is that it takes a long time to set up an appointment to be seen y the dentist. I have had to wait a month or more to be seen by her, each time I made an appointment. Getting teeth cleaned, is more so like pulling teeth. I had to wait three months for an open appointment date. When my date finally came, they had to cancel my appointment due to the doctor not coming in that day. Please let me inform you that they only have one person that cleans teeth and they are only there once a week! So then when I attempted to schedule another appointment, I had to wait three more moths for an open appointment AND THEY ARE THE ONES WHO CANCELLED MY APPOINTMENT!!!!!! They then informed me that could go to one of their other centers. I then made an appointment with the other center and was able to be seen the following two weeks. I then was able to be seen the next week at another site. Once I to to the site, they couldnt find my name in their appointment book, and it was because I was told the wrong site but the appointment person. WORST WORST WORST PLACE EVER! I dont usually even write reviews but this place was so horrible that I needed to warn others!
This place looks clean, but the problem is that they sometimes change your appointment from in-person to over phone call without your consent. On the top of that, they forget to call you for your appointment and charge for that! Like seriously??? Staffs need to be more sincere. This place is not the best.
For it to be empty majority of the time, they still have you waiting long. When you walk in you see about 3-5 people waiting and you still wont be seen for another 2 hours. They have you self swab, they dont listen, they put whatever they want on your chart which slows down the process even more when you finally get to the back. The wait is about 1-2 hours before you get to the back, another 30min-1 hour before you see the doctor, and about 10-15min just for the doctor to tell you whats wrong.
I originally scheduled a dental appointment in June but wasn’t notified of the change until the day of. They rescheduled me for July. I called off of work and found out at 8:30am that the same Orthodontist was “out”. I literally missed two paid working days due to an appointment being cancelled. Now they want to reschedule me to August. What’s going to be next September? I would recommend going to Anacostia. At least they serve their patients on time. I don’t blame this facility, but they need to notify their patients through all means. We gave you our phone number and email, if the call doesn’t work; EMAIL US.
I’m a very patient person, that being said , I believe that if ANYONE works customer service of any kind, plz remember, the way you treat others , maybe the way you are treated. Good or Bad. You! applied for the job and went on the interview, you! accepted the terms, Your bad day shouldn’t be revisited on another. Most of the ppl at this Clinic are pleasant and professional, but you get some folks who are irritated , going through or their Boo upset them, so here they go. You are the culprit or the villain, when they give you attitude. I speak up( meaning, I talk more positive to them, you know up) most ppl respond well to kindness so that’s what I give them. I always want to leave someone better than b4 I met them, these are Rules to live by.
I had an urgency where I urged to see doctor or nurse you have to make an appointment an appointment they don’t ever want to work the doctors or nurses. If it’s a walk in clinic atleast make it organized where the nurses and staff and doctors ACTUALLY COMMUNICATE. If not keep it at appointment and make that system more organized. I have to stay unity clinic KNOWS WHAT THEY ARE DOING BUT CHOOSE NOT TO CARE. Finally when a patients. Has a problem and it’s taken to the department of health they still won’t care when they all lose their jobs then they will. The staff to nurse to doctors all profile who you are then treat that person in that manner. I can no longer leave comments but chose now not to work with them or even let my insurance pay them .UNITY HEALTH GET IT TOGETHER AND START DOING THINGS CORRECTLY FOR THE BETTER. ✌🏽NO STARS.....
Horrible experience in walk ins. Came 20 minutes before place opened to ensure my spot, was the 4th person to be called. Signed in, was asked to take a seat, for an hour later to be told they were not taking anyone else in walk ins. How when you only helped 3 people ? They really need to do better when it comes to accepting walk in, because I wasted time coming here when I still had to end up going to the emergency room
Been going here for approx. 6 yrs.Always pretty quick and to the point! Smtimes I have a small wait time for prescriptions but overall theyre a great place for all of your health needs!
Front Desk Lobby needs to be a little more professional. Also the sign in kiosk system doesnt update information well. Dr. Sidd will be missed! Great Doctor! Very clean environment and pleasant staff.
Out of all the years attending Unity Parkside. Most of the receptionist and pharmacy workers people skills sucks big time. More people skill training PLEASE!!!I should not be arguing with staff before my appointment and my pressure be elevated and I suffer with High Blood Pressure.GET IT TOGETHER PLEASE!!!
THE SURGEON IS GUILTY OF MALPRACTICE I AM SUFFERING FROM LINGUAL NERVE DAMAGE AFTER WISDOM TOOTH EXTRACTION DO NOT COME HERE FOR DENTAL SERVICES.!! I am suffering from nerve damage which causes tingling numbness and pain of the tongue/ cheek/ gums. I am miserable and also not sure if its permeant. Furthermore The surgeon wanted to remove my wisdom teeth 4 separate times instead of all at once who wants to go through such a painful process so many times? I will not be going back to get the rest pulled since the surgeon messed up so bad. Please know the risk. Go somewhere else the professionals here really have no clue what they are doing and they are careless and not sure if they are even qualified.
It’s unfortunate how terrible people in urban areas treat potential patients, i was not once rude, uncalm or difficult to deal with but received a lot of attitude and neglect this is a huge sign for me to find a better provider i refuse to let people who are at the for front of a business of that lack basic human decency play in my mouth.
Unity Health Care Park Side is VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. I came here for a walk in this morning 02/23/2020 and the system was down . When the system came back up, I was brought to the back and the nursing assistant did not know how to take my blood pressure. She had to start over twice. She also went on to tell me I had to come back to have a low risk surgery release form filled out . My wisdom teeth are hurting NOW. The NEXT available appointment is in a month. The FORM takes 2 minutes to fill out . This location looks for any REASON to turn you away .
Saw Dr. Morris for optholmalogy. Extremely unprofessional guy. Decided to lecture me for doing my own research into my condition instead of waiting for something to happen. (Like dropping dead? lol) Kept me waiting 30 minutes to see me, then another 30 minutes while he dilated my pupils and saw someone else (takes 15 minutes at most to dilate). Also didnt seem like a good doctor overall, I described some of my optic symptoms to him and he seemed very confused. My guess is that he was trying to argue with me to distract from the fact that hes a very poor doctor who doesnt know as much as he should. Also! His equipment is extremely outdated and Im not sure he always keeps it clean.... please go somewhere else if you need an opthamologist. I went to him because it was the soonest appointment I could get, but I feel like Im still at square one with my symptoms, plus dealing with a condescending misogynist lol has put me in a bad mood on top of it. Going to have a cup of tea and try to forget the experience.
Usually Im there early and gets seen quickly . Havent had any complaint except when it comes to getting refills. Making an appointment when you already out of medicine, and still got to wait two or more weels
8/30/17 @5pm And it has been a horrible experience .1st desk was nice and informative2nd desk ( all female staff are hood)No one wants to service nor speak to me so I just stand there refusing to move until one of them tells me something. LaterThe staff has me to go find a red clip board of which I nor them can find , mind you others have signed it prior to me.I still stand until lady in the middle mentions that I need to see a nurse.Now there is a lady who takes clients in the back and while im looking for clipboard she mentions she only works the back area.Like she cant go behind the counter and get it for me.Next time DO NOT HIRE HOOD people !These kind of people make the establishment look bad. I will not return here. The hood females need to lean customer service, courtesy and respect. This place gets a D from. Matter fact where is the manager!
The problem with Unity in general is they make it extremely difficult to get in touch with your doctor. If you miss a call you have to go through another long drawn out process to get in touch with them again. Also their pharmacies are closed Sundays. When I tried to reach an on-call physician the mailbox was full and I never received a single call back. Your pharmacy never contacted me about my rx, is closed two days in a row, and I cant even reach a single doctor to transfer my rx to somewhere thats open. Boo.

They need to get it together, so many things wrong with this center..the one on Minnesota ave was better, the workers seemed to care more, I was going there for 10plus years and wasn’t turned down…I’ll add one more star because the manager worked something out with me getting an appointment the same day the last time I visited…
Knowing Unity from Minnesota Ave, I was surprisingly shocked visiting this particular establishment. Everyone was very pleasant, it was clean, and there was no crowd or long wait. Great visit!!
I didnt want to go to this clinic because of the reviews I read but I guess people views are different because I had the best experience ever when I took my daughter there the doctor took her time to explain to me even the nurse that sign me in was marvelous thanks very much United health care for such an amazing experience
I went in for what I assumed was a ear infection dr Michelle rice or Wright (can’t remember the last name) black lady was the dr she rushed examined me she only looked in one ear told me I didn’t have a infection but gave me a prescription for ear drop....got home my ear started leaking green fluid go to get my prescription she sent it to the wrong pharmacy they couldn’t find it now I have to make another appointment and go back to see another dr because 2 days later my ear is still having problems and no medication or advice never going back I made a complaint
I been in tryna get through to make a point for 1:53:03 I walk in there’s nobody in the front so I’m not understanding why I been waiting for 1hour 53mins 45sec this is very sad but then say call before you come to the center how when nobody is picking up
Me and wife are expecting a new born baby. My wife and another pregnant woman was left to stand up while other selfish people were sitting down with no morals to offer a seat.! THE LAB NURSE MRS SHEILA CAME OUT AND MADE ALL THOSE SELFISH PEOPLE GET UP FOR THE ONLY 2 PREGNANT WOMEN WHO WERE LEFT STANDING ! You’re a hero MRS SHEILA! Thank you!
Staff are always courteous and professional. The facility is neat and clean. And I love that the place has an on-site pharmacy.
It is never overwhelmed with to many patients. It always neat and clean. Dr. Crystal Chatman is the best PCP. And Dr. Wright is the best DDS.
I went to get my prescription for my blood pressure medication and was denied. I was told if I didnt accept more stronger medicine than they would not renew my current medication, so I had to go to the VA emergency room to get my prescriptions.
Yes it was very fast and easy going service, very clear area,greetings 😀 👍 👌 before u greet wow wow wow wow. The Drs where very friendl,am happy I want there .
Never had any problems with unity, I have been with for 37 years. I been with unity since I was 19 years of age! Son is 24 Daughters 17 and 2 years of ages. Been going unity since 1993.
Everytime I go there my child never can be seen , she was very sick and they wouldnt let a doctor see her this is the worst clinic ever dont go there
Professional staff are great. Taking precautions during the pandemic checking people at the door if they have any virus symptoms.

They are a little slow and can’t keep up with paper work I drop off paper work for my granddaughter to be field out to get dental work done at her dentist and them foolish people lost it trying to get them the paper work again so my granddaughter can be seen at the dentist but this time they won’t answer the phone at the desk for the nurse cm P
