My OBGYN visits were great with Sara Todd up until I got pregnant. (Sara Todd had nothing to do with the situation, SHE is still amazing).Baystate needs to change their communication choice with pregnant woman. Only being able to communicate through the Baystate portal is ridiculous. It took over 10 messages to receive a date to be seen because they kept “not receiving a response from me” I would send them the screenshots clearly showing that I responded in hopes they would realize their system is backward. I had an appointment changed 2 times because of this. Mind you, this is my first pregnancy so my anxiety is already at an all time high.My second issue with Baystate is not seeing pregnant woman AT ALL until they are 12 weeks along. I had concerns regarding medications, a lump in my breast, among other things. Their answer was “you can talk to the nurse during your 8 week telephone appointment”. I ended up switching to Cooley Dickinson and was able to be seen at 10 weeks. If I was already a patient they would have also seen me around 5 weeks but I was 7 weeks when I made the switch and THANKFULLY I did. When I went for my first ultrasound at Cooley, we found that there was no embryo present and that I would most likely miscarry. I did miscarry 4 days later and it was one of the most traumatic experiences of my life, even landing me in the ER due excessive bleeding. If I had stayed with Baystate, that miscarriage would have been a complete surprise to me and probably would have made the entire process even worse.Do better with your system BAYSTATE, though I won’t be back.
I had my first visit last fall where all went seemingly well…until I received a bill for almost $1,150 in lab fees that I never ordered/nor was consulted about during my appt.Called the lab and this location to clear things up. It was never cleared and now I’m responding to a collection bill for the $1,150. Can’t decide which is worse. Ruining my credit or the complete mistrust for the PA who did my annual exam (that is covered by insurance) where I ended up with a bill for $1,150! Nuts.To make matters worse I didn’t even come in for an annual exam — I came in to discuss my hormones and the PA told me to go ahead and just do the exam all the while robbing me blind.
I am very disappointed in the service provided to me. I have waited weeks for appointments, waited weeks for tests to be scheduled. Finally had a telephone appointment SCHEDULED and the Doctor never called . NOBODY CALLED ME AT ALL. I have had longer then normal wait time for prescriptions that were needed as well. The doctor blames the pharmacy and pharmacy blames the Dr. So fruatrated. I feel this doctors practice has no respect for ones time or feelings of importance. This is the 2nd time this office has failed to communicate with me. .Horrible follow up. I am assuming, No news is good news. Sadly disappointed in my new doctor.
Nice staff, Attentive friendly. Sarah Todd was amazing. Extremely professional So glad I started coming here.
