Terrible terrible customer service at this location. It’s a maze to find the office. I was within the 15 minute grace period and could not locate the office. Once office was finally located, the reception was slow and very short with her responses and inattentive. Was speaking to me far from the computer in the back. Once she came forward and spoke to me with her full attention it was 17 min after appointment time. Would not ask the doctor if I still could be seen, just kept saying no and offered to reschedule. She looked as if she just wanted to leave. I was highly frustrated and asked for a release form of my records. I filled out the release form and put all the necessary information and where to fax my records to. Still till this day, none of my records were sent out to the new office. Received a call from the new office stating they don’t have my records and if they don’t receive it by tomorrow my appointment will be cancelled. Being pregnant is already a bit difficult and a journey on its own and the staff at this location are not sweet, caring, attentive, and have no sense of urgency towards your needs or requests. Do not go to this practice unless you want to be disrespected and treated unjust. If I could give a -10 I would.
I’ve been going to this practice for over 4 years, and this location about as much. I have never experienced such horrible bedside manner as I have today with Dr. Clare. He also examined me and left without even following up with potential diagnoses or treatment plan. The staff thought I was gone and were preparing to clean and clock out.I feel regret leaving a one-star review but even that is too gracious for the experience I had today. The front staff and clinic staff were exceptional as always. I will be sure to schedule with other providers.
Every MD and midwife I have met during my pregnancy has been attentive and caring. The staff are also polite and wonderful. My only complaint would be several times theyve made me reschedule appointments, usually last minute. And God forbid you dont answer the phone and have to call back the appointment line, takes forever. More so for the winter garden office than the Princeton office. But honestly, Im so comfortable here, its worth it. Highly recommended! Plus, the new Womens tower at Florida hospital is beautiful and thats where they go.
My last baby 5 years ago was great experience with them, this time around NOT SO MUCH, high risk pregnancy and its so difficult to get an appointment, my 16 week appt. turned into week 19 because booked, same for my 1st initial. That worries me, even their high risk office is usually booked. WORSE: I had appt. 12 week, Dr was so busy, he called me another patient then told me he didnt have time to review my labs and would call me to do so instead. Excuse me, Im paying health insurance for service. NEVER called, I called days later to speak with nurse. Please have more attention to womens health, it matters to us and especially to my unborn child!!I dont have another available provider option so Im stuck, hopefully they get better.
I was very excited to start my experience with this practice after researching for a great team of doctors after suffering a miscarriage several months ago. I scheduled my appointment, and a week or so after began to get concerned about some symptoms and called to speak with a nurse looking for piece of mind. The nurse offered me no piece of mind despite my crying on the phone, continuing to tell me that shed have to see me to know but that she couldnt do anything this early on anyway other than confirm a pregnancy. When I had to ask if she could order lab tests to put my mind at peace, she told me I had to have the permission of the doctor and she would have to call me back. The nursing supervisor never called me back. Needless to say, I called and cancelled my first appointment and found a different practice. To say I am disappointed is an understatement. To have a practice with such highly skilled practitioners whom seem to employ individuals who have no empathy, or understanding for women who have suffered traumatic loss is disgusting. I had not even had my first appointment yet and was treated like a number they didnt care about. A huge let down to say the least. If you have any history of traumatic loss from pregnancy or want to feel like a person rather than a number, I suggest you look for a different office.
The doctors and midwives are absolutely wonderful. I need to start with that because they truly are incredible and helpful and kind. Everything else about this place is terrible. I was there with my first pregnancy and the staff is awful. They never answer their phones and rarely ever return voicemails. The doctors and nurses are so wonderful I decided to return for my second pregnancy. Not worth it. The office staff is so difficult to get in contact with I almost got denied paid maternity and almost couldn’t return to work because they are so terrible with forms. When I decided I would come back for the second pregnancy I thought you are there for the doctors, what does it matter. But when you have two babies and are exhausted, dealing with paperwork and sitting on the phone waiting for someone to answer after 45 minutes(actual wait time), that’s when you decide it’s not worth it!
I went Thursday morning. Havent had a chance to write a review. Its so unfortunate they have so many negetive reviews over customer service or their phone. If I was not referred I most likely would not have called this office because of the star rating. But do not make that mistake. This star rating is NOT accurate. This office was AMAZING. The staff is so nice and knowledgeable. Even early in the morning they were very nice and accommodating. Dr. Boone took his time with me and answered any questions. I did not feel rushed at all.***This was the best experience I have had in a doctors office.***They are very up to date on technology. Their office uses a completely online system. So you barely fill out any paper work. So a nurse inputs all your information into a computer. This also is good for the environment (less paper!)When I called it did take sometime. But I would imagine so because they are busy carefully inputting each patients information. That requires a lot more staff and their undivided attention.Who I spoke to on the phone was worth the wait though! She was so awesome! I wish I remembered her name. I needed an appointment fast, she went out of her way to look into all options to get me in asap. But I also requested an appointment online and they called me back within the hour. By that time I already had my appointment scheduled via phone. So if you cant wait 10-15 minutes to reach someone via, just request your appointment online. They will get back with you.
While I love the doctors and ARNP’s, I’m really disappointed when it comes to scheduling. On 3 separate occasions, my appointment had been cancelled the week of. I’m a first time mom, so when the cancellations happened during my pregnancy, I did not mind as much, but when my 2 week and 6 week postpartum appointments were cancelled without notice the week of, it’s hard to coordinate last minute cancellations especially with a newborn! I’m so disappointed and although the care was great, I think I will take my business elsewhere for my next pregnancy.
I first became a patient back in 2013 when I gave birth to my now 4yr old, the experience was great. Fast forward to now, expecting and a patient and this place is a joke. You can never get in contact with anyone at your assigned office location and the appointment line never pick-up. You leave message after message and no one ever return calls. Im so glad to only have 2 weeks left of dealing with this place. I submitted medical release forms in November 2017 and they have yet to be returned to corresponding person, smh. Im so done with this practice! The only reason Im giving it 2 stars is because the staff and Doctors at Winter Park location are great.
I honestly cannot understand the bad reviews for this office. Yes, sometimes the hold times for the office can be long to make an appointment. But I have never had a long hold time in getting a nurse on the phone, which to me is most important. The nurse I spoke with over a concern was attentive, advised me to go to the triage, and even called back to make sure I understood directions to get to the new womens tower. All the doctors and midwives are amazing, I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Auffant or Stacy, they both take their time, are extremely attentive, and make you feel comfortable. They only deliver at the womens tower at Florida Hospital South, so keep that in mind when making your decision, but dont base your decision on some bad reviews on front office staff. The ones that will be handling your care and your new baby are amazing!
I switched to this OB/ GYN practice about 3 months ago because I was having a horrible experience with my other one. I have had a great experience so far. Each person Ive seen takes their time with me, answers all questions I have thoroughly and makes sure I understand everything. I have received phone calls with all my test results in a timely manner. I am due in June, and am so thankful I found this practice for such an important moment in my life.
My primary care doctors nurse practitioner referred me to this office. I made an appointment and on the day of the appointment I left my house giving myself enough time to get there on time. Even though I had looked up the directions, when I got to the street I didnt see the street sign, and I passed it up. I ended up having to turn around and due to traffic and traffic lights I got there 15 minutes before my appointment (I had to be there 30 minutes before to fill out paper work). I had called the office to let them know I couldnt find the office and one of the girls helped me find it. When I checked in I was told I would have to re-schedule because I was late. I told the girl at the front desk what had happened...that I couldnt find the office. She went back to speak with the doctor to see if she would go ahead and see me. The answer she had was no. I would have to re-schedule. I had just been in the hospital and I was still off work from that, but I had used up all of my time and was off work without pay. I told her I could not re-schedule and walked out. I thought this was rude and uncaring. I could have worked on the paper work during the 15 minutes before my appointment, and I couldve continued completing it during the time I would most likely be waiting for the doctor to come in the room. I couldnt help it that I didnt see the sign and had to turn around. Also my time is valuable too! I will be suggesting to my primary care doctor to stop referring patients to this practice.
Let me first say that Doctor Boone is wonderful and he gets 5 stars. The person working reception this morning has a horrible disposition and is better suited for a different role. The office never texted me the check in link so I could let them know I was waiting in the parking lot so I called to let them know instead. I called at 8:30. My appointment was at 8:45. At 9:01 I got a call from the receptionist and she said “are you still here?! I have been messaging you since 8:55!?” I include exclamation points because her tone was accusatory. I explained again that I never received a message and came straight up to the office. I walk in and as I approach the desk I announce myself and the receptionist doesn’t greet me verbally but holds up a forehead thermometer only LOL. I am certain there are probably people who wouldn’t even know what they should do without a simple “let me take your temperature”. Long story short; it’s noon now and I finally got a text saying they are ready for me to check in LOL.Moral of the story— you will be happy with Doctor Boone but don’t expect to be treated with courtesy or respect from the front office staff.
This place deserves zero star! No communication between each other. Rode staff on the phone and at the clinic. It took us four months to have an IUD procedure placed . First the doctor said that it will takes around four weeks. And they will call us back. I never heeard from them since. When I call back they forgot about us!! and it ends up four months (starting everything from the scratch) . The only good thing about this place that they don’t forget about collecting money. Plus the doctors seems not that competent! you know what I meant.
I never write reviews but I had a traumatizing experience here. I had a vanishing twin and was never advised to not take the NIPT test due to the possibility of a false-positive result. After my positive result for trisomy 21, the doctor’s office never contacted me to consult what my next step was. They also never shared my results with the high-risk doctor. When I asked the doctor if my baby was going to have down-syndrome, she said “probably”. When I went to the high-risk doctor, the baby looked perfectly healthy (after looking at some markers for down-syndrome). Doctors should not speculate something like that after looking at only one screening test. I expected better care and was disappointed. I will be switching doctors.
I completely dread visiting the OB/GYN office for regular lady visits. Im incredibly stressed over it all and seize up and the slightest touch. After an insurance change and knowing I didnt want to return to my original OB/GYN I called and easily booked a new patient/annual exam at the Winter Garden office. I picked the first appointment of the day so I wouldnt miss a lot of work.Having never been to their office before I wasnt sure what to expect, but it was easily found and clearly marked within the hospital. The receptionist was very kind and efficient and had all of my paperwork prepped and ready for me to fill in. Another woman who popped into the lobby kindly greeted me and assured me I would be taken back in just a moment. She turned out to be the nurse who would take my vitals. Sure enough she called me back within a few minutes. The nurse, much like the receptionist was very kind and helpful. There was a student trainee in the office that day and I was asked if it was ok that he be present and review my medical history/questions with me. I felt completely in control and aware of what was going on, which was nice. After having the trainee come in and speak with me the nurse practitioner Stacey came in and was super kind and easy to talk to. She was sympathetic to my unease with the appointment and talked me through it all. She was quick and gentle making me wonder why I had even worried. I would HIGHLY recommend Loch Haven OB/GYN and especially Stacy Butschek for your OB/GYN needs. Kudos to their team for making my most loathed and hated appointment a breeze! :)
This was my first time at this location and it seems to be pretty quiet and secluded which are good traits in my opinion, but once I walked in the office the black lady at the front desk came off very rude. Almost like she had an attitude. No type of greeting or even a hello. When I walked up to the front desk I stood there for a moment waiting to be instructed on what to do next and she asked me, “are you gonna sign in” like I had been there before. Yet, I was not even instructed to do so. First impression is everything and she definitely turned me off from this location.
I have not had a good experience here at all. The doctors here have never shown an interest in my needs or experience with different medications, getting in and out of the room as quickly as possible. They are seemingly impossible to get in contact with, unless youre making an appointment. I spent a week trying to contact a nurse, who said theyd call me back in 2 business days, repeatedly. I eventually had to go in just to talk to someone. My pharmacy tried to contact them for a month with no response.
Loch Haven is an amazing place. All of my visits have been amazing. This is my fourth child and by far this has been the best experience and trust me I am picky when it comes to who cares for me and my child. Dr. Hill, Vicky, Stacey, and so many others are so passionate about their work that no matter the complication I know I am in good hands. I am shocked at any response that is less than satisfactory.
My wife called here yesterday. She spoke to the most rude appointment setter ever named Gail or something like that. The information provided about insurance was wrong, the help was poor, no good advise. Apparently some of the doctors here are good, but are they really? If they choose to hire uneducated, rude, and uncaring staff, then its a risk that no pregnant woman should take. From what Ive seen their billing people are just as bad. Dont be fooled by the time you spend with the doctor. Its everyone else you are forced to deal with that takes the most time. We will pass.
Loch Haven has truly been a wonderful place for me during a few medical scares and throughout my most recent pregnancy. Dr. Crider, Dr. Hill and Dr. Johnson are all wonderful, as are the midwives. Yes, sometimes the appointment scheduling team can be difficult to reach. However, I dont let that outweigh the level of care that I receive here. Its always been easy to reach a nurse as well when ive had questions.
I am eight months pregnant and have been with them since the 8th week. This is my first pregnancy. Loch Haven has provided me with everything I could possibly need. We go once a month and usually see different doctors or nurses. You have option to see same person each time but we dont care who we see as long as they know their stuff!! (They always do) I will write another review after my boy is born, but, so far so good and we definitely recommend them!
I am 9 months pregnant and chose Loch Haven OB GYN because of the experience of the staff. I go to the downtown Orlando office and have never had an appointment with the Doctor I chose as my OB. I have seen someone different almost every visit, so I dont have a relationship with any of the providers. Its like starting over at every visit. I was not told I could request to see one person until my 36 week appt - too little too late. I would not recommend this practice to anyone looking for an OB that will get to know you, your history, needs, and preferences.
I don’t like The lady Name Regina At the Front desk demeanor. Everytime I Come in she has a unit on her face, Not Welcoming & Never Smile.
THE best doctors office I have ever been to, regardless of the fact that it is Ob/Gyn. All the staff has wonderful bedside manor, and are very professional and make you feel extremely comfortable. The doctor never makes you feel rushed when she comes in the room. The quality of care I have experienced here is spectacular. I have recommended it to many friends, and they have all been very happy as well.
I want to say that the physicians I saw-Dr. Balint and Dr. Auffant are wonderful and have great bedside manner but to run that big of an office you need a team and that team is so dysfunctional. I had two ultrasounds at the imaging center on the first floor of the building and I received my results online. I had to google what it said then I had to call the office to seek out someone from the office to call me to talk with me about the results. When I finally got a nurse over the phone she couldn’t care less.I ended up seeing Dr. Balint in the office who we spoke and agreed to surgery. Surgery scheduling was also a fun afternoon of back and forth with one person. Than a girl named Dimple went above and beyond to help me and got it scheduled. My surgery was scheduled tomorrow but after taking to the doctor, I decided to cancel it. This was WEEKS ago. I even called back scheduling and CONFIRMED they “took care of the cancellation.” So yesterday I get a call from laboratory why I missed my am appointment for labs for my surgery and today I got 2 voicemails from outpatient surgery if I can come in earlier for my surgery...I called them back and told them the above and they said “we had a situation and it was taken care of.” I replied I called the obgyn office and left a voicemail inquiring why the communication didn’t go through and from the sounds of it, the outpatient surgery rep made it sound like it happens all the time. If an outpatient surgery can’t go smoothly I wouldn’t be confident to plan a pregnancy with that team. I’m truly sorry to say because all my care is under Florida Hospital. I’m going to look for a smaller group. The physicians are great but I think the group is to big, the left hand doesn’t know what the right hand is doing and in healthcare, that’s a scary thing.
I wish I could give this practice two separate ratings, one for the doctors and midwives and one for the office. Most of the doctors and midwives I have seen here have been great (Boone, Crider, Artis, Graumlich) and the rest average. There were none that I disliked, just one that seemed rushed the day I saw her and didnt listen well (Balint). My favorites were Dr. Boone, who by chance was on duty at the hospital and delivered my son, and Dr. Crider, who is incredibly patient and actually hears your concerns and takes the time to talk with you about them. I have a rare condition and unfortunately have extensive experience dealing with doctors and medical establishments. I felt that both of these doctors actually listened, which is rare in the medical field these days with practitioners rushing through patients. The other thing I like about this practice is that they will attempt to turn babies if they are breech rather than just giving up and going for the C-section. I didnt have to do this, but I appreciated knowing they would at least try, if needed. The rating for the office I would generally give an F, mostly for scheduling. The check in process when you arrive is fine and streamlined, but heaven forbid you need to reschedule, or they reschedule you, you might very well be spending an hour on the phone on hold trying to get it changed. You are better off walking in the office and changing it. They do email and text reminders for appointments, but you cannot schedule or reschedule appointments online.
I honestly despise this place. I always leave my appointment feeling annoyed. Scheduling is also super inconvenient, never have availability unless you’re willing to book two weeks or more out. I’m trying to have a VBAC this pregnancy and they keep implying/pushing me to have another c section. My first pregnancy was 1000x better going to a birth center. They paid more attention, knew me by name, had ultrasound monthly (AdventHealth has only requested two so far during my pregnancy and I’m almost due), and were nurturing. AdventHealth, you’re in and out under 15mins and it’s not personable. The nurse/doctor literally goes through my chart while in my room and I constantly have to tell them what labs I’ve done and what was said in previous visits. I hate that I have to go to different locations for lab work and my ultrasounds. I truly hate this place. I wish I wasn’t so far along otherwise I’d switch.
I have nothing but good things to say about this practice as well as everyone who works there. I came there as a new patient with emergency complications after surgery that wasnt even done by any doctors from there. Not only they were willing to see me but I was able to be seen that same day!! Dr. Auffant was wonderful and compassionate, she took her time to explain everything to me and settle any concerns I had. I recently had a miscarriage and once again Dr. Auffant was there for me. She was very kind and understanding and by the time I left her office there was not one question she didnt answer. She called to check on me the next day as well. I spent a lot of time on the phone with one of the nurses. Cathy was very helpful and went out of her way to make sure I got my results so I dont spend my weekend wondering. When I came back for my check up she came out and gave me a big hug and told me how sorry she was about our loss. To have someone that you never met care that much feels sooo good. I wanted to write this to let everyone know that in this office you are not just a chart. Every person Ive seen there was nothing but wonderful and just wanted to add, Dr. Crider is great! He has a great sense of humor that makes him really easy to talk to :) if you want a doctor that cares you must come to loch haven.
I went to this office to see Dr. Boone when I advised him of my age he referred me over to a fertility doctor because he felt I needed to be more aggressive with getting pregnant, therefore was not in his office but 5 mins. A couple months later I received a bill for $170 which I have been calling for over 2 months now and waiting for management to call me back in regards to this. I spoke to one rep she advised that Dr. Boone wrote in his notes he seen me for 30 mins which is totally and completely a lie. I could understand if they state they bill in 30 min increments but the rep advised that is not the case, so if that is not the case I do not agree with the bill. I would not refer anyone to this practice for his reason. A liar will still and cheat. I am totally upset, but of course I will have to pay this bill because I can not afford it to hit my credit report.
While I love adventhealth, this OB group needs to work on a lot of things especially communication. I am a high risk pregnancy and felt like I needed to advocate for myself more than usual because I was not being listened to and was being brushed off for most of my concerns. I have results from labs and ultrasounds from weeks ago that Ive been waiting on.. only to find them myself siting in the portal (results website) I found them concerning so I took it to my high risk OB and he found me immediate care.. If I didnt see them I wouldve still been waiting for their call.Im not one to make reviews or conflict but they caused me tons of stress.
Original 8/10/15: Back in January I had a wonderful routine well woman exam with Dr. Auffant, and had the least uncomfortable pap smear Ive ever received in my life. Unfortunately, that is where the pros for this practice end, in my experience. In January I also received paper orders for some blood tests to rule out a genetic blood clotting disorder since my father has it and my sister is a carrier. I went to Quest Diagnostics and had 11 tubes of blood drawn and the results were that I was not at risk - excellent news, considering hormonal birth control already increases the risk of blood clots in women. I received my explanation of benefits from Cigna saying that I would owe around $250 for the tests and awaited the bill from Quest, which I received end of June for $2200. I did not start trying to resolve this until July 4 because I was traveling for my sisters wedding and had duties to take care of as the maid of honor. Since July 4th I have called Quest, Cigna, and Loch Haven after being informed that most of the tests were not authorized, hence the large bill. All that needs to be done is have someone from the practice contact Cigna to authorize the tests so that they will process payment to Quest. I have left 8+ unreturned messages for the nurse manager, Irene, the office manager, Leida, and have stopped by the practice in person to leave a message in order to get this taken care of. Leida was supposed to have emailed Irene to take care of it, but as I am still receiving bills from Quest and dealing with this utter nonsense, I am not confident that ever happened.I also work at Florida Hospital and had asked Dr. Auffant earlier on if this was an issue that she takes care of or if its someone elses responsibility at the office. She followed up with me a few weeks after I asked her and I told her nobody has gotten back in touch with me. She was surprised because issues like this happen all the time with Quest and when she mentioned it to someone at the office who presumably takes care of these kinds of things, they responded with something about how they know exactly what I need to do to get this resolved. Great! What would be better is if I had been contacted at ALL by someone from the office with instructions, which has yet to happen (it has been over a month).I understand that I am not the only patient that goes to this practice, and likely am not even the only patient having this issue right now. What I do not understand is why I keep hearing empty promises about being contacted or getting this resolved and having to leave more and more frustrated voicemails while being worried about being taken to collections over a $2200 bill I am doing everything in my power (which is not much) to get taken care of. It should not take over a month to hear anything back on a routine issue that will probably take minimal effort to resolve on the practices part. I will not be returning to this practice as a direct result of this.UPDATE 8/12/15I received a call back from Leida this morning letting me know that they had finally sent out a letter of medical necessity for the lab tests. I was also informed that she saw this review and that it was my responsibility to know my medical coverage (true) but that does not explain how the insurance company did not process the lab codes correctly - clearly that is nothing I have to do with, and sounds like a paperwork error.I was also told that after this issue is resolved that they will be dropping me from the practice (which I never intended to return to previously). It is clear to me that they believe I was in the wrong for being upset over this issue and not having any calls returned over the last 6 weeks to be updated or for any kind of clarification. For the record I have no issue with any of the doctors at this practice - it is entirely with the back office and their lack of professionalism and sense of expediency.
No Customer Service - it is impossible to get in touch with Lock Haven. I am currently 35 weeks pregnant and cant change OBGYNs or I would. I have had 2 concerns during my pregnancy (Norovirus and later intense swelling). For the first, LH responded 5 days after my request for advice. For severe swelling, LH couldnt see me and said I was better off going to the ER, which is very expensive! Its hard to schedule/change routine appointments as they have several doctors. Ive called 3 times to try and confirm my c-section date with no call backs. The doctor I see changes each time and I have only seen my actual c-section surgeon once! The priority is on expanding the practice rather than delivery comprehensive care.
Great practice when it came to prenatal visits. I transferred to Loch Haven from Advanced Womens in hopes of pursuing a VBAC. Though all the MDs did review the risks, as an RN, I know that this is part of their job - to educate the patient and provide me with the tools needed to make an educated decision. I never felt bullied or guilted into changing my mind. I LOVE Dr. Cacciatore, Crider, and Hill especially as they were all professional, friendly, VERY informative, and just easy to talk to. The staff nurses were also very friendly and professional. It was easy to speak with someone on the phone if/when I had a concern and upon arrival for my appointments, I never waited more than 5 minutes, often seeing an MD before my scheduled time.NOW, having said all this, my labor and delivery was not great. To be more specific, my laboring experience was rotten. I labored from early morning hours of the 20th last month until the early morning hours of the 22nd not knowing that my child was malpositioned (occiput posterior) so I had tremendous back pain. After not being able to tolerate any more pain the 2nd day, and not having slept more than maybe 3-4 hours, I went to the hospital expecting that I had not dilated much (I have L&D experience and knew I hadnt any signs of consistent dilation). I was admitted, given an epidural, and an hour later my water broke spontaneously. I dilated to 6cm with the help of Pitocin but the MD on call kept checking me and insisted on placing an internal contraction monitor, my gut told me to expect an infection.SO, you guessed it. I ran a fever, my babys heart rate went above normal and stopped showing good variability. I was racing against the clock and with not dilating a cm per hour, I knew that they were going to expect a cesarean. Of course, I agreed because I feared for the safety of my baby (NOT knowing she wasnt able to descend down into my pelvis while I laid flat in bed and she couldnt turn the right direction)While, I could have [MAYBE] waited longer to go to the hospital and walked more to encourage a better chance of my daughter rotating to face my spine and make her way down through my pelvis, I am certain that the CONSTANT checking of my cervix played a significant role in my outcome. Rush, rush, rush. Im very perturbed about this part of my experience. Once in the OR, the staff did a fantastic job of keeping me aware of what was going on, anesthesiology kept me well medicated and pain free, but the MD handling my insides was ROUGH! I could feel so much more tugging than in the last cesarean. Overall, this practice gets 5 stars from me but the particular MD who handled my labor really soured my experience thus dropping this rating.
Was referred here by my doctor for a sinus cat-scan. Staff at this location is top-notch. HOWEVER, their billing department is an absolute nightmare. On June 14 I paid a $284 copay when I arrived, and was told that would be the final bill. On November 13 I received a collection agency letter for $31.65. No invoices from FRI ever came...they just sent it right to the collection agency. I called FRI, and Kristys response was they didnt have any good information on you, so they sent it to collection. I reminded Kristy of the 4 pages of paperwork I filled out prior to my visit. I asked to speak to her manager, she took my number and said her manager would call me back. Bad business, avoid FRI.
I had an amazing experience with them with my first child! They handled me with compassion, care and respect. They give you their time and dont rush. I had a few issues and got calls from Dr. Hill at 11pm and on Saturdays. They are wonderful!
This office is horrible at returning phone calls and receiving/confirming faxes.I had a really bad experience with dr. balint. My situation is complicated, and when I met with Dr. Balint things did not go well. The office never received the notes from my oncologist. I called multiple times to verify they received them. No one called me back. So she wasnt able to talk to me about my condition. After hanging out in the nurses station for an hour, waiting for them to confirm the records, they received them. But Dr. balint was too busy to speak to me about them. So I left the office.Dr. balint called me the next morning to talk about my records and she was pretty much just mean. Not helpful at all. Mad in fact that she had to do a phone consult.I shortly received a letter telling me I was being let go as a patient. I had 30 days to find a new doctor and to fill out a medical release form.here is the kicker, I have faxed over the form, called many times, and my new dr. has yet to receive MY medical records. My new Dr has requested as well. The office is not releasing my medical records to my new dr, or to ME.I have had the same issue when they prescribe meds, if i need a change (due to insurance coverages) it takes days to get a hold of some one.
Not a good experience. I did not have good experience here at all for my high risk pregnancy. Came there as a recommendation for a VBAC ( vaginal birth after c-section) and regretted it. They scared me with each visit by going down a list of risks. Many times they pulled the “dead baby” card. I could count at least 5 times they told me the baby could die. Or I could die. I was totally healthy all the way through my pregnancy. Who says things like this to a pregnant women? They ended up making my pregnancy a horrible experience and I was riddled with fear that I had to combat with evidence based research that did not match up to what they were saying. My doctor who is the head doctor, also never returned 3 calls I left him. Nurse manager said he was a very busy man and could talk to me in 4 weeks which was my due date. Really unprofessional. I know they have good reviews, but my experience was not good. Nurses were okay but they didnt seem happy to be there. Never had to wait long which was one good thing. And front check in nurse from Trinidad was friendly. I believe there are other practices that do VBAC where I would have been successful.
Horrible Nurses when it comes to getting things done the doctors are great the nurses however are disgraceful and definitely not efficient when it comes to helping there patients. I am a current patient at this facility and I have an FMLA case open with my job and I have gotten the clear from my doctor here at this facility in particularly to get the papers signed by Ms. Annabella and she is the only nurse here that can fill out the paper work for the medical leave of absence she is well aware of the case and knew that I had a dead line just like anyone’s job and this nurse was again well aware and had the dead line passed and I was penalized from my job and Ms.Annabella is again completely aware of all of this and being so I can never get in contact with her to ever get any information or response I have multiple nurses tell me she will get back to me I wait on those specific times and no response. I’m always told “she’s in with a patient” or “were swamped with patients” um your patients that call are still patients so to anyone who wants an inside of this particular facility be careful before they just take your money and leave you jobless and blame “family emergencies” and “business” as an excuse because everyone has a job and had to get tasks done not this facility alone anyone or woman who goes here will have FMLA needs and be ready to get fired or penalized because the slogan for Advent health is a lie they don’t care and there not efficient to make there patients happy, healthy, and stress free be warned fellow woman this can happen to anyone of you just like me so keep paying your money and get nothing in return.
I had been a patient of this facility for 3 years. I have recently been down on my luck and my hours at work have been slashed so bad that they dropped my health insurance as well. I called the nurse and asked for a script. She was very helpful and had my script ready for me before my insurance expired. Unfortunately, I needed further help after my insurance expired. the nurse was unable to help me and transferred me to the scheduling so I could find out how much the visit would cost me. When I spoke with the rude lady in that department she tild me sorry we dont deal with cash clients and hung up. WOW, I have been a regular patient with these issues and now i am no good because I have no insurance. I know how the medical field works and this is just a horrid thing to do to anyone. Even if that is your rules you have to follow you could at least show some compassion. The doctors are good and I really loved that I had a great OBGYN...but only if you have insurance :-( Humanity is really in the pooper these days!! I gave them 3 stars because they are good if you have insurance and consider them if theres no chance you could lose it!
I have been trying ALL day to book an appointment. First I called and was prompted through an automated system to make an appointment, to where I sat on hold for 30 minutes. So then I went online to submit an appointment request. Then I tried calling again and was on hold for an hour. Then someone called me ( I missed the call) and left a message telling me to call and press option 3 for appointments (which will basically send me back on the same time compromising roller coaster ride). At this point, Im beyond frustrated. I call again and once again am on hold from 3:58pm to 4:26pm. All of the sudden at 4:26, an automated message announces that the office is closed. Extremely disappointing. It should NOT be this complicated just to schedule an appointment.
When you find out you are having twins in your third trimester, you know there is something wrong. My first appointment was with Deborah Brown (a certified nurse midwife) when I was 9 weeks pregnant. She brought in Dr. Gargey Patil to do the ultrasound. Im not sure what was done wrong but they only found one baby. During our 12 week and 16 week appointments, Deborah just checked for one heartbeat and thats it. We came back at 22 weeks and Deborah checked for one heartbeat again and noticed my belly was large for gestational age so she told me to do the gestational diabetes test and to schedule an ultrasound with radiology on the 1st floor for the day before our 28 week appointment. I passed my gestational diabetes test which made me less worried because I was thinking there is something wrong for this baby to be so large so early. Then came the ultrasound with radiology and that is when the sonogram technician told us we were having twin boys. AT 28 WEEKS! We were told that we should have had another ultrasound between the 9 weeks and 28 weeks but we were never scheduled one or even told about it. What is crazy, is that when Deborah first noticed that my belly was big, you would think she would have looked up my 16-20 week ultrasound to see what was up, and noticed we never got one. Or if she was concerned, you would think she would have us schedule an ultrasound immediately, and not the day before our 28 weeks appointment (6 weeks of waiting to find out about this big baby). We ended up having the 28 week appointment with Dr. Patil again - go figure - and he was surprised but any sympathy or concern by him felt so fake, like he was just like oh well, as long as we know now. AND NO that should not be the attitude because with twins I should have been going to Maternal Fetal Medicine along with the normal OBGYN because of the high risks associated with twins. We just had our twins on October 3rd, and luckily there were no complications with the pregnancy but if there were, Deborah Brown and Gargey Patil could be held responsible for any medical malpractice. We transferred to Womens Care Florida and I couldnt be happier. I didnt have to go to quest labs for every little blood work, or radiology for ultrasounds because everything was done there in one place. I couldnt recommend Womens Care Florida enough.
Ive always had a great experience at Loch Haven. The staff is always friendly and the doctor is very personable and takes time to answer any questions that I have. Ive also never had to wait long so it is very convenient. I would definitely recommend Loch Haven to any of my friends or family.
TWICE has this place screwed up with me. The first time, a woman called me saying she was from Loch Haven and wanted to know my name. With all of the scams that have been occuring lately via phone call, I wanted to clarify exactly which company this was (the name didnt sound familiar but I had only confirmed an appt via email - someone from my insurance scheduled the appt for me). She could have easily said health clinic or OBGYN but NO! She said, I cant tell you unless you are _______ so I said that I guess Im not that patient then. Why not just tell the damn person what company you are? I get confidentiality but seriously?!!!! Its illegal for you to tell me youre an OBGYN company?!!! I wasted 5 minutes on the phone with you for you to tell me nothing? If you would have easily just said, yes, OGBTN or yes, health clinic, we would have moved forward with the conversation.Second time, I was scheduled an appt by my insurances concierge service for a Well Womans Exam. I went into the office for my appt and the lady tells me that I cannot move forward unless I have a referral from a PCP to be there. THEY NEVER TOLD ME THIS!! I wasted over 30 minutes of my life AGAIN because they failed to tell me ANY of this information!!! Unorganized ass place that I will never go to again. Never in my life have I experienced so much damn difficulty just to seek help. Save yourself and go somewhere else.
I love this practice! I switched to them when I was pregnant with my second child after my previous obgyn refused to allow me to have a VBAC. I truly felt like they were an ally in my journey for a VBAC and supported me every step of the way. Dr. Patil is my favorite; hes thorough and to the point. In regards to the other negative reviews about scheduling an appointment, Ive never had issues.
Allow me to start by saying Dr. Auffant is AMAZING. This review is not a reflection on her, but rather the office and nursing staff. This isnt the first bad experience we had but for brevity I will use this as an example. The nurse Cherie (sp?) is incredibly rude and not professional. Yesterday my wife called to ask about abnormal test results and Cherie never gave the message to a doctor. We called back this morning and Cherie refused to provide any information or transfer us to someone else. We asked if we could be connected to Dr. Auffants voicemail and she said she doesnt have one, its my job and Ill give her the message (we know this isnt true). When we asked when the Dr was coming in, Cherie said I dont know. She was condescending and hung up on my wife when she asked to speak to any of the other nurses or doctors who were in today. Only reason I didnt give 1 star is because of our positive experiences with Dr. Auffant and the other doctors.
Im a new patient and I absolutley LOVED Dr. Auffant !! She has an incredible bedside manner that makes you completely comfortable. VERY professional and knowledgeable. Explains things to you in the simplest form. Shes also very genuine and calming. I very much appreciate her time.Of all the doctors Ive ever had (gyn or not) she was the only one who is 5 star all the way. I never want to see a different gyno. again. The office staff is fine and professional. The phone scheduler dept. could stand to be a bit more professional.
I was on hold more than once trying to leave a message for my dr here. Total of 55 minutes on hold as they continued to transfer me back and forth as no one had the time to help me. Beyond frustrated at the lack of customer service here. This has now happened more than once and I will be switching to a different provider.
Had my Drs. office fax over a rx on Friday. I was told that I could not make an appointment until the rx was in their system. Monday I was told that they still had not received the rx, but that I could make an appointment if I wanted to hand deliver my rx at the appointment. Now, for an appointment on Tuesday, I must go to my Dr. Pickup the prescription and drive to FRI.I am told that the fax is probably with their , fax team waiting to be processed. Fax team? Really? It takes 2 business days to process a fax?Not going here again. I dont have the time or the patience to wait for their , fax team.Even for medical offices, this is horrible service.
This is my second time to the downtown location. I needed an additional test after my follow up doctor appointment. I was able to get a Mri at 8pm the same day. Staff were great and I got the results the next day.
I would give this office no stars. On two separate occasions but with the same pregnancy two different doctors told me that there was no baby in the gestational sac (blighted ovum) when there is actually a baby! This office needs to have an US technician on staff to perform all US, not doctors. Each are trained in their own specialties for a reason. This is a LIFE! Invest in some good equipment!! Invest in having an US tech on staff!!! Dont tell a woman to take medicine to abort when there is any doubt! I hate thinking about all of the other women they have told had a blighted ovum or a nonviable pregnancy when in fact they were wrong!!!!!
DO NOT GO HERE !!!!! Words cannot express how dissatisfied I am. During my 2nd trimester my midwife could not detect a heartbeat. She ordered an emergency ultrasound at Florida Radiology Imaging. Two ultrasound technicians were on this procedure. One technician was training the other. They performed the ultra sound as if I was a dead animal lying there. Trainee was very disinterested.. huffed & puffed ect. The trainer was a Muslim woman- like myself. I said Salam Alaikum upon arrival as you are to do in Islam. She did not return the greeting. The screen never faced my direction as they probed my uterus. No explanation of what was happening. Unfortunately, I was having a miscarriage. Not one ounce of empathy or compassion from these two. I was laying there sobbing. I have had more compassion at the dentist! The Muslim trainer was almost happy / showing off a bit that she was in charge, flirtacious with my husband and prancing around the office. My husband and I wanted the ultra sound print that we never received. After the probing finally ended the trainer tossed me a rag and said get dressed and she left the room. Before I even had a chance to dress she barges back in -didnt knock and stood there watching me finish dressing. She was rolling her eyes because I was unable to get my shoes on fast enough. We had just been violated the only way to describe it.
You have to call multiple times before someone finally picks up the phone to make an appointment or for any other matter. They prescribed me the wrong birth control prescription and when I called and emailed to figure out why they did or if it was a big deal that they were changing the brand, I never heard back. I was moving to a different country so just had to leave with that prescription and the side effects the first couple of months were rough until my body started to adjust. Dont think I will be going back
I am a doula and my client has been seeing this practice all through her pregnancy and all the Doctors have been supportive of her having a vbac and today she saw Dr. Patel for the first time and he told her right away that she needed a ceserean section because her baby was too big. Again, all the other Doctors said she was a good candidate for a vbac. Dr. Patel never even considered it. How can they say they are vbac friendly when he is in the practice and is not.
Outstanding people and incredible service. I received an appointment same day. I walked (crutched) in the door and they already greeted me by name. I was quickly serviced by a very caring team. Great experience overall.
I had my last baby with Loch Haven the doctors and midwives are phenomenal. If I had any questions they where there to address them. This was one of the best experiences I have had with a doctors office.
Doctor Wolfe is very patient. He takes his time to listen and knows what he is doing. I have been going there for a month and the entire team is very friendly and welcoming. The wait is no longer than 15 mins.
It is nearly impossible for the staff here to return calls. No follow-up unless the patient reaches out and even then, theres no apology or admission of error. Calling during regular business hours also results in phone messages that the office is closed...Im looking for a new service provider.
Dr. Patil is so nice he made me feel comfortable as a patient. He takes his time and explains things to you . I like my overall experience here all the staff were nice and the office is clean.
Nothing but attitude with the appointment setter. I will never go to a place that has nothing but attitude especially if im pregnant. Everything is suppose to be calm and relaxed. Worst experience calling them.
Very very happy with my first experience here . I was 15 minutes late due to a traffic jam and although they had a very packed schedule they took me any quickly.... the girls were very pleasant both at reception and the technician . I would definitely use them again
Breast cancer warning!!!!!!!! I have a DCIS diagnosis: I felt a lump in my breast and went in for a diagnostic biopsy. The radiologist, Dr. Rogers, failed to find another area of concern on my mammogram, that was later seen by the surgeon who also looked at all of my images (thank god)...this has now delayed my treatment. I am so upset. If the radiologist would have done his job I could have gotten the area biopsied weeks ago.
My wife has suffered a lot at their hands. They lack the first building block of medical profession -empathy. For everything they have one response , go to ER. They do not want to take responsibility for anything so the moment you stop having a normal pregnancy - they will throw so many papers at you, you will not believe. Calling them pathetic is an insult to the adjective pathetic .
Front desk was awesome and nice to me but then the person who did my ultrasound did not let my family in because she said she didnt want to walk back and forth getting people and it was only 3 kids 2 adults and all I needed was 5 minutes seriously this made me really sad
Staff were kind and compassionate. Was seen at my scheduled time and results were available within 2days. Great experience!
I wont go to this place ever. Suffered a miscarriage during my first pregnancy but they did not take any extra measures or precautions during my second pregnancy due to which I suffered a loss again.
Loved my experience with Dr. BOONE. Very positive, energetic person, attentive. Explained procedures very theral. Will definetly choose him as my ObGyn doc.
Dr. Hill is the most amazing doctor gyno Ive ever had. Everyone is so nice there and the doctors really truly listen and care about you.
I had a great experience at this practice with my first child, I was taken care of very well. no complaints or regrets would recommend to anyone.
Best OB office I have ever been to. Dr. Boone delivered my son and he the BEST!!! Ive recommended this office to all my friends and family.
Its a no from me. Honestly and seriously the appointment schedulers need to be FIRED. Beause they dont do their jobs noone picks up the phone ever!!!
The front office staff was not helpful at all and scheduling my appointment was a whole nother pain. My appontment was scheduled and i wont rescheulde there. Will not come back to this office
I became a patient of this clinic in 2014. They never answer their phone. Extremely difficult to book an appointment with and when you do finally get someone on the phone and get seen for an appointment its never with an actual doctor.
Dr.patil and staff did my essure was the best office visit I ever had with a gyn. Will be returning for my yearly exam.
Good luck getting them to call you back with information. They dont even pick up the phone. This review os for the Winter garden office.
Ive heard great things about this place so i wanted to become a patient but have tried for 3 days to make an appointment and everytime i call i get no answer, on hold for 10+ minutes before i just hang up!!
Dr Hill is the best very caring never rushed me and answered all my questions.I cant wait to use him for my second pregnancy.
I love the staff, very courteous and professional. Dr Jill Johnson is very professional. I felt comfortable with her.
Have had many screenings here--have never had a problem and have found the staff to be both pleasant and efficient.
Good doctors but terrible staff. Constant issues with appointment times and have 10-20 min hold times just to make one. Ridiculous.
I really wish they could actually meet their appt times, I have not been here without them being 30 minutes behind. They want you here 20 minutes early then they are always behind
Ive had no issues with the phone system or staff. My 1st son who was high risk was delivered with this wonderful staff!
When youre physically in their care youre taken care of well. But it is almost impossible to get ahold of anyone on the phone..
Was given a great reference from a friend. Disappointed when I called to find out they dont take a particular insurance if youre a new patient.
My wife is super happy with all the staff, They always make her feel very special.
Amazing experience at the Lake Nona and downtown location. Top notch patient care.
Terrible service and rude receptionist throughout my whole pregnancy. I will never be returning here.
New staff is so rude worst experience ever never again DONT go here these people dont no what they doing very rude and very lazy new system new people they suck do not go here
The best experience! All the physicians are wonderful.
Amazing patient care! Kind, compassionate, and timely!
Getting a finger xray. Very nice staff here.
They was nice and I was treated good
In and out fast, staff very friendly!
Very rude behavior and bad service from the staff
The only place I will go for my tests
Excellent service and outstanding professionalism.
Excellent care with caring staff
Very happy with this place
Rude staff!
If you really need good service, dont waste your time here. I arrived at the scheduled time and they told me that I was late, and that the delay policy was 15 minutes. Even though they said that my daughter had a fever and had a pain in her ear, they didnt answer me!!!!! The most interesting thing about this place is that they treat you just like a number and are not at all concerned about your childs well-being!!!!! I arrived on time, they werent fast enough!!!! My sincere condolences to this place, because the last time I was there, they only asked about changing the insurance even though they said it had already been done, and today they asked the same question!!
