Im gonna go ahead and start with a five star review. Ive only been to the 4th Ave part thats in the same building as comprehensive. And my doctor is awesome. Lets hope the ones in this location are just as well. dr. eakin and dr. dennis are amazing and i feel very lucky. the woman that i talked to in the pharmacy though sounds like shes so full of disdain and has a horrid flat way of talking to me so far that it made me feel less than comfortable. which is bad enough since im asking them for help with staying properly medicated. we shall see how it progresses. so removed a star for now.
THIS IS THE MOST DISHONEST CLINIC IVE EVER DEALT WITH IN ALL MY 58 YEARS! I WAS LIED TO YESTERDAY AND WAS TOLD THAT IF I HAD ANY PROBLEMS GETTING MY ANTIBIOTICS FILLED TO CALL BACK TODAY WHICH IS SATURDAY THE 13TH OF JULY 2024 AND I WAS TOLD BY SCHEDUALING...I QUOTE IM SORRY BUT THERE IS NO NURSES WORKING TODAY! WHICH IS A LIE! HOW CAN PATIENCE BE SEEN WITHOUT NURSES! IVE BEEN LEFT HIGH AND DRY WITH A SERIOUS STOMACH INFECTION AND NO ANTIBIOTICS OVER THE WEEKEND AND NURSES DONT CALL BACK IN 24 HOURS EITHER, THATS A LIE! TOOK THEM THE 3 DAYS TO CALL ME BACK! 3 MONTHS TO SEE YOUR DR. ??? WHAT A JOKE! THIS PLACE AS FSR AS IM CONCERNED NEEDS THEIR LICENSE REVOKED!
Ive come to YNHC for my youngest pediatric care, my prenatal care, post and primary care, WIC, as well as dental care for almost 3 years now and have been nothing but exceedingly satisfied with the service of the providers and all fellow staff that work within the clinic. Having Saturday hours as well as the pharmacy in the same building has been so convenient and helpful. And the services that Ive been able to access and been referred and connected with have helped my family and I beyond words can Express. I would definatly recommend to anyone needing any care especially for those with low income or limited resources to funding or programs.
Peterson/Delay/Eatkin as well as office staff & supervisors have been very rude and dropped the ball big time by ignoring referal requests, not attending appointments, cancelling appointments last minute over and over, ignoring a patients needs/concerns as well as falsifying incorrect information into a patients medical record. Ive waited 3 years to look at an MRI only to still not see it and find out it cuts off at above the spot Ive been having problems at for the last 16 years now. They never started to really help me until I brought an advocate with me (WITNESS) because I did use to be homeless a year or so ago. A lot of homeless people are abused here and never get the help they should be getting because they are by themselfs, mostly in crisis because of drugs or mental or abuse problems. But none the less those people are your family or your friends or vice versa as annoying/problem causing as some homeless can and have been in Yakima. They are not all about the neighborhood like they have everyone think. AVOID YNHS AT ALL COSTS!
These folks are definitely in the right place as far as the profession and work that they chose to do for a living. They are kind, considerate, outgoing, understanding & they listen to what you have to say. They care & I can see it :)
Pharmacist super rude she couldn’t hear so I raise my voice to ask her if she can hear and then yelled back at me many times yelling just being petty so rude unprofessional.
Worst places I’ve ever seen whoever is running this place has absolutely no clue what they’re doing. And I know how awful it was going to be I would’ve stayed home in bed. Had a really bad experience dealing with the CEO. Talk about identity politics and catering to only certain “groups “ discrimination at its finest and leader ship that couldn’t lead their way out of a wet paper bag
From start to finish, our one visit was an absolute nightmare. My daughter chose this clinic for one provider after calling and verifying she was still working and accepting patients. She also confirmed with them that I would be allowed to go back with her, for support as well as to provide medical history that she doesnt know. We arrive and all her information was incorrect. She spelled out the corrections and they were still wrong. We waited together for 20 minutes in the waiting room. Once she was called back, we went through the door to the hallway and the nurse (Jessica) informed me that I was not able to go back with her. My daughter has anxiety, and instantly began to tear up. For the next two hours she was alone with this nurse, was unable to answer most of her medical history questions because I was not there, was harassed about vaccination, harassed about her knowledge of STDs, lectured on her personal decision to not get vaccinated, and at the end was told she couldnt see the provider we went there for.I understand things have changed since Covid, but some of the rules these places are following make no sense and none of them take into account someones necessity for a support person due to underlying issues they may have. They also need to train their providers on peoples freedom to make their own medical decisions regarding vaccinations, who they share their info with and who they want as a support person in the room. Lecturing a young girl with anxiety and making her feel bad about her personal medical choices is simply bad medicine. We will definitely not be going back there.
Unless youre Mexican American, you will be treated like garbage. Front counter gals will actually ARGUE with you.Doctors (PAs and nurses? Do they have any actual MDs??) there only work for a paycheck. They have no clue what theyre doing. They make you wait upwards of 3 months for lab results. Cross your fingers you arent actually dieing.Heaven forbid you have your insurance send over any documents. They will say they never received any. Then three months later miraculously find some papers, with a three month old date on them.Im embarrassed I have to admit I used to go there.
As a child my parents took me to this clinic and when I was pregnant I figured I would stay. I did my OB care with a very kind Doctor and nurse. The doctor recommended a dental cleaning as soon as possible since I was further along than I thought. So I called to get that scheduled. I had to have a negative covid test before the cleaning. I was seen and had dental radiographs performed (the dentist and hygenist were whispering, talking in code and pointing at the images. I wasnt told what was wrong or what they found- I asked)They wanted to schedule a second check up for that same week. I had already arranged my work schedule to make this appointment so I couldnt make it in that same week. The next opening was in 2 months. I went ahead and scheduled it.They called the day before to confirm. I was not able to answer when they called since I was at work. I called back only for the answering machine to tell me to leave a message. I did. I was given a call back the morning of the appointment to inform me the dentist had somewhere else to be and they wanted to schedule me in for an opening on Saturday. I wasnt able to take that appointment so they scheduled me in for another opening that was another 2 months ahead. I said sure. I told the receptionist since I work late I wouldnt be able to answer. They said they need to call anyway to confirm. They called, I couldnt answer, left a voicemail. Went to my appointment on my scheduled time off only to be told my appointment was canceled since I didnt answer... I was not happy, my pregnancy hormones were not helping either. They called later that day to remind me that I need to schedule an appointment and the next availability would be late in August. I told them my due date is the first week of August. I never scheduled a follow up.On a happy note, my OB doctor and Nurse were the best at Yakima Neighborhood
I have been coming to this clinic for over 20 years. I have watched it change and grow. It has been over all a wonderful experience for me. There has been some ups and downs, good and bad but I would not think of going anywhere else..Infact when offered a new medical plans with one of those money cards, I turned it down it meant leaving. I look forward to coming here in many more years to come.
They need to fix the answering messages, how are we supposed to contact my doctor or nurse line if I cant leave a message which one of the nurses did say this was an issue and no one is doing anything about it, fix it so that nurses can get back to us ASAP
Except for the Drs (and good ones), Always leaving... Otherwise, Im happy with the pharmacy and with the Drs care (the ones that stay long-term).Thanks, YNHS, all the way around!
I went into the clinic this morning after suffering all week . They were able to get me in same day. It took them less than thirty minutes to take out my tooth. The best experience I have ever had. Staff was awesome ..dentist was kind in his eyes and took my tooth out quickly. I appreciated that so much. Im home snuggled up with my blanket. Feeling blessed. LENORA J. AKA JOLEE
They helped my son & I 💯% during an emergency situation. The doctor was so kind & such a pillar of strength. All of our needs were met in one visit. Im so glad we chose Neighborhood Health. 🤗
The Yakima Facility is the worst medical care I have ever had. You will wait months to see your primary care provider. They do not answer their phones. They will not call you back. Local pharmacy will tell you they wont switch your pharmacy. I had to physically go there twice to get that done.Perhaps the worst is th Walk In Clinic Doctor. She should have her license revoked. She refuses to review your medical file. She will not listen to anything you say. I have had two pharmacist tell me She is incompetent. The whole facility is a giant scam to exploit the poor. Thank the beans Astria has moved here so those of us on Medicre and Medicaid have options.
One star because I had to. Been to this place on numerous occasions and there has always, always, been a problem with waiting times. Say your appointment is at 12:45, they ask for you to come in 15 minutes early, youre not seen anytime near your appointment time, it takes HOURS to be seen. Why even schedule an appointment if youre not seen on said scheduled time? The receptionists have attitudes and are lacking proper customer service skills and basic respect for anyone. Often times the receptionists blatantly lie about how many patients are ahead of you. Youd think a place called Neighborhood Health would be more friendly, unfortunately that is not a reality of this place. I dislike this place, it sucks.
It was great, so friendly had my meds ready to go, Its easy to pay with my credit card, and they have my meds ready when I get there. I always have a great experience when I go there.
Receptionists are apathetic and lacking in personal skills. Ive had several cancelled appointments because we didnt call the day before to confirm the appointment, which we werent told we were supposed to do. If I schedule an appointment, trust me to be there. Its a lot more inconvenient for you to cancel my appointment and me come expecting to be serviced and have to be turned away due to cancelling their service.
The Doctor (Sonja Starr) was friendly and personable - I am sad to have to find a new one and wished she worked for a different clinic that was covered in my new HCP. The administrative service however is definitely lacking in the user friendly department. Chances are you when you call, you will get an answering machine - the people who answer/call back are often short and unhelpful - most often they do not give reminder calls (I guess thats a private practice perk?) - and the atmosphere seems to be laden with this attitude that people on assistance (which I am assuming the majority of the clientele are) are not worth the extra smile. To be clear, I am not on assistance but I had one person make the mistake of saying something that made it obvious that she thought I was. I was appalled to think that it mattered or that it would change in how one should interact with another! To me it seems like a staff of people who are over worked, underpaid, and unappreciated .... and are letting it affect their customer service skills.
I have had several unhelpful events here. Most of them constantly calling to reschedule my appointments regularly for my blood pressure which was out of control at the time. Or I was having a bout with some type of infection causing high fevers for over a monthand the ER drs couldnt fully pinpoint it but told me there was a possibility of it being luekima (thank goodness it wasnt) and had told me to make a follow up immediately because of the circumstances. They refused to let me make an appointment with my Dr for 3 months and told me Id just have to come in as a walk in basis and wait. It took 2 hours of being switched around arguing with several women at the front desk and nurses to finally get in to see a Dr that wasnt even mine at the clinic.
I have never been there. I am an elderly lady who hasnt seen a doctor for quite some time. I have had different insurance companies in the past and they all say this place is my pcp. Problem with that is their scheduling never answers their phone or calls you back. I need to get a hold of insurance and have my pcp changed to a facility that cares.
It takes them an hour to get you into a room, then another hour or 2 just to get out. I DONT RECOMMEND anyone seeing Onyinye Amarani she was really RUDE when me and my husband were trying to explain his problem, she literally got angry and walked out on us just because she didnt get her way. Also my dad got an appointment with her as well and she did it to him as well, very UNPROFESSIONAL. Also my husband was seen by Phillip Ondara he didnt know what he was doing and it didnt look like he took us serious like if we were joking around, so we had to go to the hospital and they helped us out instead. But I DO RECOMMEND SUE DENNIS, she listens and shes the only person in the whole clinic who knows what theyre doing. The dentists are okay but friendly.
The most unprofessional and unhelpful medical facility Ive ever been too, the dental and medical. Takes months to get an appt and when I finally got in for a walk in appt, I had a kidney infection, which I get a couple times a year so Im pretty good at recognizing thats what it was, they said I didnt have one and I went straight to the er guess what? I had a kidney infection! So they let me leave REALLY sick with no anti biotics , and all the whole time they acted almost as if I was drug seeking. I got the feeling that they wanted to tell me no.I do love the pediatrics department tho, doctors are really nice, gentle, and caringThe dental is also a joke, , I had an insane toothache over a year ago, I also had swollen lymph nodes, which means there was An infection and again they did nothing to help me, no medications no extraction of the tooth absolutely nothing, they told me the swollen lymph nodes were from an infection somewhere else not the tooth less than an inch or 2 from the lymph node, it hurt so bad I was crying so again I had to go to the er, the Dr there felt the swollen lymph nodes and gave me antibiotics and something for the pain and numbed the tooth,The ladies behind the desk, scheduling, check-in, are rather rude as well, never thank you or your welcome or even please, they dont smile or act courteous in any way, but that I can deal with if the rest of the place was good, really the whole place is terrible if your an adult. There is a nurse that comes to my house once a week from there to check on my son, because he was born premature, Angie and I love her! She always goes the extra mile making me feel comfortable, if there is something she doesnt know she comes back with papers and pamphlets explaining it, she helps me make appointments which isnt part if her duties, she seems to really care about my little one, if something send wrong shell really look into it and come back a second time that week if need be, shes really amazing couldnt ask for better! But besides pediatrics the place sucks!
Ive been coming here since 1992, tried a couple of other places and decided to stay with Neighborhood health. they have my records to review as needed, appointments about same as every where else. Most times staff is polite, but just like some places, there are rude and impatient staff that want to rush and dont bother with you. Few months back was sick, dont know if was doctor in training or someone playing doctor, argued with me that I had allergies while Im coughing uncontrollable...
I went in on a Saturday because I had a horrible tooth ache. I had gone on Friday to the Medi-Center because I couldnt stand the pain, and was told I could go in on Saturday to get help with my tooth. Not only did they say they could not see me, since they didnt consider me a emergency. They asked me to come back in a month. I am so angry, I will never go there again, and what do they consider an emergency? I will have to figure out something else I guess.
I went in to see Dr. Rutter multiple time complaining about back problems. I told her that I feel numbess on the left side of my feet and hands and whenever I lay in bed if I move a certain way I can feel tingling through my mid back and shoulders. I told her if I could get an MRI but she told me something along the lines of alot of people come in for back pain and try pt. I did and my problem didnt go away. I even did the exercises they gave me for at least 10 months every monday through friday without fail. My back got stronger but the problem remained. I went in another time and told her my problems hadnt changed much and she got mad, like she was mad nothing was working. I remained calm. Its been over a year now and I went to another clinic to get more treatment options. I think ill be asking my doc to refer me to some specialist in Seattle. The orthopedic center in yakima has poor reviews as well. If anyone knows a good doctor in yakima let me know. I tried west valley chiropractic and after 3 visits I think my back hurts a little more. Im running out of patience. Cant work because of my back. This sucks big time.
The doctors take the time to try to give you the care you need, rather than just trying to get you in and out in 10 minutes. Complaints about waiting times may be true sometimes, but thats generally because the doctors arent just rushing their patients through. I dont always have to wait, but even when I do, the wait is worth it and I get the help I need.
Neighborhood Health is my doctors its a doctors clinic were they all know about the human body they also have Eastside where they have children and they do they look at all the way up to their 19 years but you want to know something when they get insurance on their life and stuff like that they treat them until theyre at the ripe age of a hundred years old or older and I think thats good theyre never wrong theyre hardly ever wrong they know whats going on you need to figure out whats going on too and you need to help them with your recovery when you have surgery when you have a baby you got to help them to treat us a how how the treatments going to go discuss that its not that easy but when it comes to a infant having some kind of a surgery or you having some kind of a surgery or your husband who just had a stroke or a heart attack or something else like a car accident or whatever there is other things that always takes place where you need to have your doctor you need to be able to talk to your doctor about these you have to discuss it you have to make decision you have to make everything where your husband your child yourself your teenager is going to be okay please look at Neighborhood Health as your clinic please Im asking you if you do not have a doctor yet look at Neighborhood Health Neighborhood Health always be there theyll never leave they will never close their always there and they will always be there so look at them as your doctor if you need one thank you and have a nice day
Emily is amazing she helped me straighten out my bill and was very helpful I wish more people were as nice and friendly as her. 5 stars
Yakima Nieghborhood Health, Produtive? I think not! :)-_- I have been trying to complete 3 simple appointments, for legal matters. My biggest complaints are in schedualing, primarily in Appointment Creation and Appointment Check-in. Neighborhood Health has problem documenting new Apts. Or reminder calls 24 hours before the Apt.. many times the remindet call came in hours before on the same day, so make sure to keep in double check Apt details before leaving to catch possible errors and may be a good Idea to verify Apt. schedual Dates and Times for current and upcomming Apts. My #1 complaint is that upon entering the office to check in there has been huge lines a d if you cant check before 10-15 after the achedualled time you will be required to reschedual. Also there has been 3 incidents where I arrived 20 minutes early and be told you were late and would need to rechedual for another day, to only find out on the way to the car in voice mail, while waiting in line that the Apt. Comfirmation Call says my Apt. Was at 1:45. Catch to this is that I arrived thinking I was Schedualed for 1:15 and attempting to sign in at 1:30 because of lines.Neigborhood Health QUITE POSSIBLY, THE WOREST MEDICAL FACILITY IN WASHINGTON STATE!!!!!
The quality of care here as lowered as the years have gone by. I am definitely thinking of switching up and going elsewhere
Dr Onyinye Amarani very rude, didnt listen to what I had to say, at all, I guess having a dr badge makes u all knowing. I will definitely be coming over Tommorrow to make a complaint to HR.
My kids go here for a medical appointments. And there is a dentist. Connected off to the side of the building, but also take adults and children.
Really great place to seek health management. The staff is great and the environment is clean and I like this!
Neighborhood health in Yakima Washington is the most unprofessional place I have ever been too in my life. They made an appointment for me then when I took time off work and showed up for my appointment they said I didnt have one. Wasted my gas time and money.
Dont waste your time these guys definitely will do it for you
3 hours with two toddlers in a little room... for a check up... literally worse then the hospital. Wish I had the option to give them no stars!
This is the worst place Ive ever been to! Takes forever to get an appt. Waits superlong, I was 3 minutes late for my sons well child from waiting in line and they tell me I have to wait till theres a no show for him to be seen! I walked out and will never be back!!!!
Employees never wore mask, extremely rude and very late, had appointment at 8:15am, at 9:15 am finally gave up and left, health care nurse was extremely rude insisting my appointment was at 8:45 am even when shown appointment card which said 8:15, she needs to learn to read
I’ve been seeing Dr. Olmer here for therapy for a few years now and he has been very helpful to me. My only issue is that they are very bad about answering the phone.
They don’t help they just want to get paid . When I go there they don’t know what’s going on with my stuff and they always send me some where that has nothing to do anything . This place needs to help people better . They never answer the phone and they never call back . I got a referral from Ms. Jackson and they still don’t know what to do about it .
The staff is as good as it gets.My doctor is awsome.Couldnt be happier with Y.N.H.
Friendly staff and Great Manager Georgia Sandoval is there for you if you have any questions, concerns or issues, compliments are welcome!🕊️🙌🏽🙏🏽
Wow such rude people. Want to rack up a big lab bill and prescribe high priced medications like 2000 a month. I will never return
I dont like Neighborhood Health myself not because of what theyre doing to the area but because of how they treat the people that go through them for me and a few of my friends that we go through them at one point they were very rude to us and disrespectful they were always mean to us who did our best to stick to the rules but everyone who was completely a blended Lee spitting on the rules were left alone as we were kicked out in the people that were breaking the rules got to stay 1 *
They dont answer there phones. They never call you back. And some of the ladys thay schedule app are so rude.
Very knowledgeable staff. I havent had such friendly care in my 50 years. Thanks to ynhs.
Sometimes the wait time is to long but overall love the providers and friendly staff.
Great doctors they take care of my husband
Good doctors very slow pharmacy but they make it work
They are great for your health needs and well help out any way they can.
The staff is quite responsive...love the reception staff & pharmacy staff especially!
Have gone there about 10 yes now I always appreciate what they do
8:01 am /: all I wanted was a strep test
Youll end up with huge wait times, not enough time with the Drs. They are overloaded
Nice dr.s here and quick to help. Dont get the run-around.
Dr Jackson is awesome and Sue Dennis
Always a wait. Its best to show up early and be prepared for the wait.
The doctors really took the time and listen to us
They do a good job with my little girl
Very unprofessional... Closed at random times and the wait times are ridiculous.
Got my teeth cleaned and a good check-up on my teeth
Good place to go for services they help you a lot
Waits are super long and takes forever to get an appt.
If you need medical attention dont be inna hurry.
Here to help those who are unable to pay high costs associated with seeing medical professionals
Very nice and clean facility for healthcare
Be prepared for a bit of a wait, even with an appointment.
The doctors treat you like cattle
Read the reviews

Good place.
Good services
Very helpful
Good clinic
Friendly staff
Never mind
Good medical
Dental hygiene
The nurses have always treated us with kindness and my childrens doctor has the same and provides good service. But the reception area could really be better and have a better attitude when caring for patients. I have also been calling for several days in the morning and afternoon and they do not answer the phone. If you need a service or make an appointment, how is it possible to receive it if they dont respond?
I like
Good attention
