There are not enough words that convey how incredible Caperton Fertility is. My journey there with infertility was long, daunting, sad, and eventually, incredibly joyful. My partner and I were taken care of EVERY step of the way. We are eternally grateful to Rachel, Jordan, Courtney, Susan, Amanda, Francesca, both Dr. Capertons and every other amazing team member who lifted us up during some of our darkest days. We have a beautiful baby girl that reminds us daily of our journey - and she would not be here if not for the incredible providers at Caperton.
I have never been treated in my life been treated as poorly as I have visiting Caperton. I think when youre dealing with something as delicate with fertility issues, you would have some empathy. Well not this Dr. I left my first (and last) appointment sobbing! Just because of how he talked to me and about my body. The real kicker is that a bit after my first appointment I received my test results. To my surprise, the Dr took such a biased against me. Since Im tattooed, that he decided to do an HIV screening on me. Without my written consent. Without any verbal consent. That is against the law in New Mexico.I asked for a refund on my second appointment since I obviously cancelled it and to this day, no refund has ever been issued. I hope there is not time limit to write to the medical board in New Mexico because I should have done it last year.
We have now used Caperton‘s fertility clinic twice. We achieved success on our second transfer (first time) with a beautiful baby girl. We are now being blessed on our first attempt (second visit) with twin boys. Dr. Caperton and his team know what they’re doing. They were always quick to answer questions and concerns. We couldn’t ask for a better clinical experience. We were so frustrated with our seemingly inability to have children, we will be going zero to three in two years! His office staff are always pleasant, nurses understanding, anesthesia was awesome. Dr. Caperton’s bedside manner may come across as a little short and to the point initially, but the more you talk with him and ask questions you see he has no issue explaining things and reassuring you he has a genuine interest in your success.
We have had a great experience with this clinic and the staff. We felt heard and educated. The staffs compassion at Caperton has made all the difference in my husband and Is journey with infertility and IVF. The kindness, flexibility, & patience we have received as we go through one of the most challenging time of our lives while balancing life outside of infertility, has been incredible. We cant thank all the staff at this clinic enough.
Our experience here has been amazing! The doctors and staff are so supportive, helpful, and they know exactly what they are doing. Over the last year we have been working with them, they have handled all the challenges we have faced with ease and have been so helpful with all of those issues. IVF can be such an overwhelming process and they do such a great job at easing that feeling. We are so grateful for all they have done for us and continue to do for us.
It has taken me a few months to write this review. Dr. Caperton is unprofessional and made me feel extremely uncomfortable during his examination of my body. The IVF process is hard enough on its own. Better to find a doctor who you can trust. After one visit, we will never go back.
This is our second implantation with CFI. Dr. Caperton was very professional and kind. His staff has always been amazing. After many years of trying and one bad clinic experience elsewhere, we are so happy we went with Caperton. While I understand success is not guaranteed , we will continue to recommend CFI to anyone with fertility complications.
Dr. Capertons, Rachael, and all the front desk staff were amazing! They made us feel like family. We had 3 IUIs and 2 rounds of IVF and finally welcomed our baby girl in January. They explained every step and made us feel hopeful. We are forever grateful to you all for our beautiful miracle baby.
This group of people deserve more then 5 stars. We came to them after struggling for years to try to have a baby. Dr. C. was honest and we decided to go for IVF. Rachel took over our care and she is amazing. Sadly our first transfer failed. They picked us up and encouraged us to try again. I truly believe that without them we wouldnt have our baby girl. From Amanda and Susan at the front desk, to Rachel and Dr. C. They are so caring and compassionate. When we are ready for a sibling we will be back. They always answered all our questions and were always there on the hard days even if to just provide a much needed hug.
Let me tell you when I was looking for a fertility doctor back at the start of 2020 I was referred to the Caperton Fertility Institute. I called made an appointment and I was seen that same week! I did go online as many do now to see reviews, now I only ever look at the bad reviews, still I went to my appointment and let me tell you those reviews are so absolutely wrong!!! I would not trade my experience for the world!!! I will never be able to thank the amazing team that is the Caperton Fertility Institute. This group has done so much for me over the past almost 2 years! The front office staff is so warm and inviting, they take time to get to know you and they all truly care!! And let’s not forget about the amazing doctors!! Both doctors Capertons are absolutely wonderful people they care so much and they offer so much support and compassion. I also have to thank the amazing PA Rachel, words cannot describe how amazing this woman is, she has played such a large role in this journey and I will forever be grateful to her and also my amazing coordinator Jordan, she put up with so many emails and dumb questions over this past year and every time with such a wonderful smile on her face!! You all mean so much to us, thank you all for giving us our dream, it is because of you all that we will get to welcome a baby boy in July of 2022!!!
Absolutely LOVE it here. We started at Thompson’s office and the difference between the 2 offices is night and day. We felt welcomed. The environment is friendly and we are so happy to continue our fertility journey here.
My family’s fertility journey started several years ago and because of Dr. Caperton and his team, we welcomed our baby girl into this world in 2022 after pursuing IVF treatments. My family and I moved out of NM shortly after our little one was born, and left behind our second and final viable embryo. When the time came to make some decisions about how to proceed with the second, I had countless questions. Dr. Caperton himself met with us over zoom to explain all our options, and the pros and cons of maintaining our relationship with his clinic, versus shipping our little frozen embryo across the country. Honestly, it made 100% sense to send our embryo to a local clinic and proceed with a new team of very capable professionals. After many discussions and financial analysis between my husband and I, we knew the only option for our family was to continue treatments with Dr. Caperton’s team. Yes it took a few trips to NM. Yes it was challenging. Challenging for my family and I to travel (in addition to all the stressors of IVF treatments), but I’d imagine challenging for Caperton’s team as well. The amount of collaboration and coordination that went into making sure I was properly cared for was indescribable. It did not matter who I spoke with over the phone or via email, I felt confident with the information I received, and supported in every way. I feel like the doctor’s office who supported me locally gained some wisdom as well just by working with Dr. Caperton’s support staff!!!Saying “Thank you” just doesn’t feel like enough. Just please know my family appreciates each and every one of you immensely.
Back in 2021 we sought out the assistance of Dr. Caperton to help grow our family. Through IVF we were able to conceive and give birth to our beautiful daughter. He is very straight forward and clear, which is something that I value in my providers. Well here we are again at his clinic undergoing another round of IVF for a sibling. Every concern I’ve had about my treatment plan he has listened and modified our approach. This is what in my opinion ultimately lead to our successful transfer after our first attempt failed. I will forever be grateful to Caperton and his team for all their support through this process
My partner and I both had a positive experience with Dr.Caperton and his staff. The IVF process is long and a rollercoaster, and everyone who works at the facility was kind, caring, and knowledgeable. They really become part of your family for a while. I also have to give a special shout-out to their insurance guru… she was amazing and I knew I could rely on her for any billing and insurance concerns/ questions. I had multiple appointments with the PA (Rachel) and she is amazing. Dr.Caperton is straightforward and gives you the facts. He will not sugarcoat information for you. For me, I appreciate him being direct. He will layout the information you need to make informed decisions. He wants the same results as you and does care. My husband had always been told he wouldn’t be able to have kids. We thought we would be using a sperm donor. Dr.Caperton assessed the situation and encouraged us to try a sperm extraction. Dr.Caperton was able to successfully extract viable sperm from my husband. He then directed us to the best procedures and regimen for embryos and successful implantation. We completed our first round of IVF and are expecting in April. What more could you want from a fertility clinic.
We saw Dr. Caperton when we were trying to have a second child and my wife was having a difficult time conceiving naturally. Unfortunately, there are only a couple of fertility specialists in the Albuquerque area, so we ended up at his office bereft of choices.Dr. Caperton was unavailable to speak to us most of the time except on a couple of occasions where he aggressively pushed more expensive treatments without looking at my wifes history of conceiving naturally. He always seemed in a rush and was very impersonal. We got little helpful advice from his office and had to research out options such as supplements, ovulation cycles and other best practices when it comes to conceiving. My wife was eventually able to conceive without IVF, with very little credit to Dr. Caperton since we got no useful information from him. When we wanted a third child, Dr. Caperton again aggressively pushed IVF without trying any of the less invasive options first . We felt we were running out of time and agreed on IVF. The treatment failed as none of the embryos were successfully fertilized at Dr. Capertons office. The worst thing was, he did not care to speak a word with us after the failed treatment and we werent even informed about this by his office. His practice cares very little for the individual patients and the patients are just seen as vehicles for enriching his personal worth. Our experience with him was disappointing the say the least.
I debated posting this review for months, as I never intend to deter anyone from seeking care. However, I want people to be aware of my experience with Dr. Caperton to hopefully help them choose a kind, respectful fertility provider. My husband and I are both medical providers, but neither of us have ever been around a doctor who showed such little respect for us. Out of the hundreds of doctors Ive met or worked with throughout my career, I have never been more disappointed, disgusted, and heartbroken with how I was treated by Dr. Caperton.Dr. Caperton treated me (a 3X brain surgery survivor with terrible past medical experiences) and my husband with little compassion or empathy. He compared my anatomical brain condition to his sleep apnea, telling me that he got through it by persevering and that I shouldve done that too. I should mention that my brain condition was the reason why we were seeking out IVF with PGT to help reduce the risk of me passing it on to our kids. Furthermore, Dr. Caperton was extremely rough during the internal exam and when I voiced that I felt like I was going to pass out, he left the room.On a positive note, his staff and office were both very nice. But for me, this did not outweigh the hurtful experience I went through with Dr. Caperton.
I can’t say enough good things nor express just how grateful I am for Dr. Caperton and his team! However, I can say I now have a beautiful and amazing little girl and that in itself speaks volumes! They are all very professional, attentive, personable, compassionate, honest and I highly recommend them.Going through IVF has been one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to go through, but the most rewarding experience! Every step was a challenge, every step was hard work physically and emotionally and every single one of their team members were supportive, kind and understanding during the entire process plus some!If you’re browsing for reviews in order to make a decision, all I can say is give them a chance, your outcome could be as beautiful as ours was! 💕 … And they made that possible.
It has taken me over a year to feel comfortable enough and far enough removed from the awful experience I had at Caperton’s office to post a review. After a terrible surgical experience with his former partner, the only other fertility doctor in the area, I went to Caperton hoping to begin IVF with our only other local option. I was 4 weeks post op and still recovering from an open myomectomy when I went.I was not weighed on my visit, but that didn’t stop Caperton from telling me I was too obese and too old to have any chance of success. He gave me a 2% chance based on precisely zero diagnostic testing, zero discussion or medical history of my fiancé who was there with me, telling me due to my age and my size, I would need to go on ozempic and lose substantial weight before we could even start. I am a size 14, for reference. He did an ultrasound during this visit, during which he diagnosed me with endometriosis.. which absolutely, positively, cannot be conclusively diagnosed through ultrasound, nevermind that I was only 4 weeks post op and still had substantial swelling. He took a semen sample from my fiancé, even after my fiancé said he has not abstained and the sample results would be inaccurate—which we knew because we have done initial fertility consultation elsewhere. They still required he leave a sample, never provided any results (even if they were inaccurate results), never so much as called, then sent us a bill for $300.I left this man’s office in tears after being told I was fat, old, and hopeless with new detrimental diagnoses that made no sense. After he gave me a 2% chance, I sought out better care in Arizona. The 6 hour drive and more difficult logistics were far worth it, and still cheaper than Caperton by thousands. A year after this “doctor” gave me terrible odds, demeaned me, treated me as subhuman for being plus size, and ran completely unnecessary labs on my fiancé that he knew would produce inaccurate results, I sit here writing this review at 19w pregnant from my very first cycle with a compassionate doctor who actually listens to his patients, knows that weight alone does not cause infertility, and actually knows what he’s doing.Make the drive for a better doctor. This is not a fertility doctor who’s in it to make babies. His SART rates are lower than everyone in a several hundred mile radius for a reason. This journey is so difficult for so many reasons, and you deserve better care.
I am a physician. I dont expect special treatment, but when I go to a clinic, I hope for human decency and good patient care for my wife and myself. At the very first visit, the statements and questions by Dr. Caperton did not give me the perception that our medical records had been reviewed. We felt that Dr. Caperton was completely unfamiliar with our case. On our second visit with Dr. Caperton, he walked into the room and asked my wife if they had ever met. My wife underwent several tests and procedures at the clinic- each experience led to us feeling more uncomfortable and abandoned. After consulting with other fertility specialists, it is my opinion that we received suboptimal and questionable patient care at Caperton, in comparison. My wife posted a Google review and, immediately, Dr. Caperton reached out to me, instead of her. Later, upon realizing that hysteroscopy and HSG images had been missing from our prior record request, we reached out to obtain them. Dr. Caperton says that the HSG images are in the patient portal, but they are nowhere to be found. In his email, Dr. Caperton also threatened us with legal action if we did not remove our reviews. Sorry, but we will not be bullied into silence. It saddens me that we lost so much precious time at this clinic and I do not wish this experience upon anyone.
I really cant say enough kind words about my experience with Caperton. My husband and I had gone through two miscarriages and in an attempt to avoid another we decided to seek some help from a fertility specialist. We decided to try Caperton because they utilized the most up to date technology and science for all their procedures. After some consultations and testing, we decided to go through IVF with genetic testing in hopes of having a successful pregnancy.Unfortunately our one genetically normal embryo didnt stick (I had some difficulties with my uterine lining). It was heartbreaking. But I was amazed by the support that I got from the entire team. Dr. Capeton; their PA Rachel; our Coordinator Jordan; their nurses: Amanda, Susan, Fran; the girls in their billing department: Casey and Vanessa. And everyone else I had the pleasure of interacting with. I really felt that they wanted me to succeed and that they truly cared about us.Thankfully, we were successfully able to get pregnant with Capertons help and the use of letrozole with a genetically health baby boy. We are due in June!I will miss everyone so so much. They will always hold a special place in my familys heart.Thank you all!Michele R
I was lucky enough to spend some time with Dr. Caperton and his team. Dr. Caperton has the utmost respect for and pride in the people he works with and it shows. From the moment I walked in, I was met with respect and care. Everyone from the receptionist to the PAs made me feel at home and comfortable. In the short time I was able to spend with him I could tell Dr. Caperton has an incredible amount of knowledge in the field and will work extremely hard to meet his patients needs.
CFI was the third fertility clinic we worked with during our four years of horrific infertility. Our first egg retrieval was a success and our first frozen embryo transfer was also! Truly the greatest and best care we could have ever imagined. Any issues we had were swiftly taken care of and I felt extremely validated along the way. We will be heading back for our next transfer as soon as it’s safe to do so. I miss the staff there and am forever thankful we left that one other clinic in ABQ for CFI.Edit to update post second FET: I will continue to recommend CFI to people in New Mexico. I will also be honest about how I was treated as a trauma survivor.
Everyone at Caperton on a surface level seems nice enough, and thats the only good thing I have to say. Googles 4000 character limit doesnt give me enough adequate space to properly capture the 8 months of hell that was my experience with this clinic and its providers. To anyone considering this clinic, you deserve better. I wouldnt wish Caperton on anybody. I wouldnt even wish Caperton on Dr. Caperton. Maybe having a clinical experience on par with what he puts his patients through would give him some perspective, but like the dust he leaves behind in the sports cars he brags about, I bet any perspective, along with this review, would be lost on him. IVF is a mental and emotional rollercoaster, and this practice will make it worse. Make no mistake. Patients arent a number here. They are a component in a money printing machine and are treated as such. The clinics organization is terrible. Front desk staff gave me misinformation about PGT-M which took a month and several escalations to sort out. They continued to give incorrect information constantly, and got annoyed with me for not following instructions they never gave me in the first place. Ive received bills for things they told me I wouldnt have to worry about paying. It took them over 6 months to get me in touch with the genetics lab. If I had a dollar for every time I asked them about the genetics lab and they told me we have a meeting with them this Thursday! Id be able to retire. Nobody on this planet could convince me anyone here ever looked at my chart. They made incorrect assumptions about my case at every visit and were completely unfamiliar with details someone who spent ten seconds looking at my chart would have known. The bedside manner is lacking. The doctors demeanor is arrogant, impersonal, and insensitive. The providers here told me I might have cancer not once, but twice. Immediately after presenting the mere thought of having to face my own mortality, they dumped a ton of IVF info and a 33+ page packet on me. Why would I be thinking about bringing new life around in this circumstance? I eventually got additional opinions on the imaging they used to justify the additional MRI and biopsy screening for cancer. Second and third opinions saw no reason for these additional diagnostics. They reference that 33+ page packet when any question is asked, even if the packet doesnt address the question. I was pushed to do a surgical procedure with only ibuprofen presented for pain management. The provider performing the procedure was completely insensitive to the amount of pain I was in and bragged about patients trying to escape them mid-procedure. I was having unexplained panic attacks for weeks afterwards. Every clinic Ive consulted with since has told me they refuse to perform said procedure without general anesthesia. I was left alone in patient rooms in the middle of procedures for extended periods of time without knowing if the provider is coming back, once was for almost an hour after a provider failed to place an IV on me multiple times and left without a word. The only reason they came back was because I had a panic attack and attempted to leave. There wasnt a single appointment I left without being in a complete state of mental distress due to the actions and words of this clinics providers. When my spouse and I confronted the clinic about all our issues, we were gaslighted and given excuse after excuse as to why this experience is our fault.Since leaving this places care, Ive had amazing experiences elsewhere. Having gone through an IVF cycle with a different clinic now, I know if I would have gone through with this clinic, Id have enough cortisol spikes to end up with rubbish egg quality, disappointment, and wasted money. Severing ties felt like cutting out an ingrown toenail for the very first time. It triggered a huge relief response I couldnt fathom until the negative space was created. Dont go here. You deserve better.
As I sit here and write this review, I am looking at my newborn! I never thought Id be able to conceive, but Caperton Fertility has quite literally made our dreams come true, and I will forever be so thankful for that. After only a couple of visits, the front staff knew our names and were always so helpful and kind. My husband also really appreciated the complimentary beverages (of course until COVID-19 hit). Dr. Caperton took the time with us and explained our situation and helped us make an informed decision on how to move forward. Huge shoutout to Rachel and Jordan, too - they were amazing!
We are extremely grateful to Dr. Caperton and the staff at Caperton Fertility Institute. Dr. Caperton is straightforward and compassionate. He encouraged us to take the steps that gave us the best chances for success now and in the future. We are so excited to be expecting our first child. All of the staff members at Caperton Fertility institute are considerate and make you feel comfortable. Appointments are scheduled in a timely manner and your time is valued. The physician assistants and coordinators are outstanding. I felt like I was in good hands throughout the entire process.
Just recently graduated from Caperton Fertility Clinic, and I have nothing but positive things to say. They answered all my questions, eased all my anxieties, and walked me through everything. I have never felt so at ease before. All the staff is so friendly, compassionate, and wonderful. I could go on about how incredible my experience was here. My husband and I will always recommend Caperton Fertility Clinic to anyone who asks. We are so appreciative of everything they have done for us!
We feel so fortunate to have found Caperton Fertility Institute! I can not say enough positive things about this clinic from their wonderful caring front desk staff, to Dr. Caperton himself, and especially our AMAZING coordinator Francesca! All of our questions are answered (and there have been so many questions lol). To have a doctor and staff that are genuinely invested in your journey is priceless and that is what we feel we have found with this clinic. I was so so very nervous not knowing what to expect but everyone makes you feel so welcome and at ease. We were worried because I live 3+hours away and my husband works out of state and has to fly in for appointments but it has not been an issue at all, CFI goes over and beyond when it comes to appointment scheduling and communication so distance is not an issue and they are more than worth the travel! Thank you to everyone at the Caperton Fertility Institute we could not ask for a better, more informative, and caring team to guide us and support us through this process!
My wife and I had the most amazing experience with Caperton Fertility Clinic. We have used their specialized services since 2010. Their entire team is personable and caring, expert in their field, and they treat you like family.Lee and Kelly are wonderful people who make a difference in many lives through the Institute and in the community.
Its no surprise that Caperton Fertility Institute is recognized as a leading clinic in the southwest. Ive only been working with the clinic for a short time, but thus far have truly had a 5-star, ideal experience. The front desk and credentialing staff have been incredibly efficient with both scheduling and ensuring insurance coverage for various procedures and specialty appointments. Even more importantly, I feel confident that my family and I will be under optimal care with Dr. Lee Caperton. It is clear that he is willing to spend the time and effort to individualize a care plan that will work best to meet the goals of our family. Dr. Caperton has the unique ability to be straightforward (no sugar-coating!) yet compassionate, realistic yet hopeful, efficient yet thorough. He will willingly address all of your concerns and explain medical processes and procedures in understandable, laymans terms. Im thankful to have established care at the clinic and look forward to continued wonderful care there.
The best decision I ever made was coming to the Caperton Fertility Institute. From our first appointment we felt well guided and informed, even during the most emotional visits. They made the IVF process not as overwhelming, and both Rachel and Courtney are so kind and compassionate I always looked forward to my appointments with them. Im currently 24 weeks pregnant with my first baby because of them, and will be going back for baby #2! We are forever thankful to Dr. Caperton and his team for our miracle baby!
I wanted to share what a great experience my husband and I have had with Dr. Caperton and his staff. Going through fertility issues is very difficult and can be emotionally draining. Dr. Caperton and his staff, specifically Myra, Sabrina and Ashley, were amazing to us. They were sensitive, understanding, and always helpful. Dr. Caperton is extremely knowledgeable in his practice and definitely gets results. I am happy to report that my husband and I are now expecting twins! I am confident that this wouldnt have happened without the care and medical interventions by Dr. Caperton. We are so grateful to everyone at the Caperton Fertility Institute and look forward to introducing our babies to everyone there.
So greatful for this amazing team of Drs and staff! After going to a local Dr and having them tell me theres nothing they could do for me I decided to come here for more help. Wed been trying to conceive for over 2 years on our own, and after just 7 months of seeing Dr Rachel we finally did it!. Rachel was very nice and always answered my questions and walked me through everything. Dr Caperton was also very helpful and insisted we call his cell if any problems or questions arised and come back every other day for a week or 2 to keep checking on baby to make sure everything was okay. In August we welcomed our healthy baby boy and couldnt have done it without this wonderful facility.
To say the least, the last 6 months have been absolute bliss! We are over the moon in love with our newest addition...our little girl has been just what our family needed! After a suffering a miscarriage and D&C procedure during covid and trying to get pregnant again, for what seemed like years! I finally went to see Dr. Lee Caperton. After some tests I found out I had Ovarian Reserve, Endometriosis and signs of PCOS. With the OR I was releasing very few eggs which was making it almost impossible to get pregnant. I was told I was a good candidate for IVF.Our first round of IVF produced five eggs with zero reaching the final stage and that was devastating but we decided to try again. On the second retrieval we were only able to retrieve three healthy eggs, with the first two not making it into the final stage. We had one left...ONE healthy egg that made it through the first week of testing, ONE healthy egg that became an embryo and came back healthy from the genetic tests and was A OK for implantation.I knew it was a long shot at a successful implantation but we held on to hope and and we decided to move forward with implantation.A few days after implantation I went in for blood work/pregnancy test and Pluma from Dr. Caperton called me back and informed me I was pregnant!!!!! I couldnt believe it! Tears of joy!I would have to go in every day for blood work to ensure my HCG levels were rising and they were!!!! Our dreams came true with our one embryo that could! And only on our second IVF attempt. Our experience with Caperton was so amazing! Every single staff member we came into contact with was top notch and treated us like family!Words cannot express the gratitude we have for everyone of you through the entire process. What you all do is amazing and there will always be a special place for you inside our hearts!Thank you for making our hearts so full and helping expand our family!
Dr. Caperton, Dr. Rachel, Dr. Kelly and their staff are the most honest and caring medical professionals I have ever met. We went in with very low expectations of ever being able to conceive, but here we are today expecting our first little miracle baby! We have spent the last 2 years working with them. Dr. Caperton laid out a plan for us and although it seemed overwhelming at the time, his and his staff’s continued support reassured us along the way. I would highly recommend him to anyone struggling with infertility. It was bittersweet to move on to our OBGYN as I truly felt that they had became like family during our time spent with them.
Working with Caperton Fertility Institute has been incredibly valuable on my fertility journey. We found them online and couldnt be happier with our 4 months spent working with them. Dr. Kelly and Rachel were my doctors and I found them kind, warm and they really listened. The staff is top-notch, the receptionist always answer the phone with a smile and they really make you feel loved. No one wants to seek out fertility treatment and I was hesitant at first after not conceiving for almost a year. I did a hysteroscopy and a HSG with them, my husband did 2 SAs. I ended up conceiving naturally after my procedures, but miscarried at 6 weeks - their on call nurse was quick to answer the phone on the weekend when I had concerns late at night and they got me right in the next business day for an ultrasound. What really blew us away is that they sent a small flower bouquet to our home after our loss with a sympathy card. This is a caring, compassionate clinic and Im heartbroken Im moving from Albuquerque and cant take them with me. Highly recommend!
Caperton Fertility is wonderful! Everyone there from the doctors to the nurses to the front receptionists are all so very kind, compassionate and professional. They make you feel welcomed and taken care of every time you visit. The facility itself is very clean, open, inviting and warm. It is also very state of the art without feeling too “clinical”. Dr. Caperton worked patiently with us while we attempted several IUIs, without ever pressuring us to undergo more expensive treatments. That patience paid off and we became pregnant earlier this year! I am so appreciative and grateful to Caperton Fertility for everything they did for us and highly recommend them to anyone looking for assistance to start a family!
Just heard from a friend who is a Black woman that she had a really upsetting and racist experience here. She fortunately ended up being able to get help at a minimally invasive place in a different state that told her that Caperton gave her an inaccurate diagnosis because her case was really not that bad and that they could support her in a minimally invasive way. That leaves me to say that if you are a woman of color seeking services at Caperton and something doesnt feel right, get a second opinion.
Dr. Caperton is easily the most knowledgeable, professional, and respectful gynecologist I have ever visited. Pelvic exams were always a point of anxiety for me but he and his staff are extremely skilled and gentle while being respectful of your privates - every doctor needs to conduct themselves like Dr. Caperton and his staff conduct themselves. The costs of services here are reasonable and the office itself is spotless; everyone here is patient and kind. The exam and procedure rooms are classily decorated. I even had a surgery here and the whole experience met that standard of excellence I see throughout the office. Even if I dont get pregnant I will still recommend Dr. Caperton to anyone struggling with fertility. This is literally the best gynecological facility anywhere, even better than some doctors in big cities like Boston. 5 stars across the board!
We are so thankful to Caperton fertility. After three years of struggling to conceive and failed.attempts with other doctors, they were able to finally treat my condition. After just one IVF cycle I am now pregnant with my baby boy. The staff especially Dr. Rachel and nurse Courtney answered my every question and made me feel so comfortable. I couldnt be more thankful to the whole clinic for making my dreams come true. I highly recommend them.
Our first appointment with Caperton exceeding our expectations! Gorgeous and cozy office, helpful and welcoming staff and doctors (love the rainbow masks!), and they went above and beyond to be thorough in gathering information and data to help us be successful. Excited to continue (and hopefully complete) our journey with them!
Dr. Lee Caperton is the best! I cannot say enough good things about him.He is so knowledgeable and great at what he does. I have been a patient for over ten years and when other doctors told me I would never have kids and that I should give up and adopt Dr. Caperton always offered me the best treatments and most importantly gave me hope. He took the time to really understand my particular situation and figure out what worked for me. He truly cared about us and our journey to parenthood. We have two beautiful daughters that we would never have had if we hadnt made the choice to see Dr. Caperton.
We had a real bad experience with them. They just want your money and after you pay them they don’t care about you anymore. There is a lot of things that happened that I can mention here but not going to do it, I’m just going to say that it’s a bad clinic and they don’t care about their patients.
We started off our fertility journey by thinking we know better then Dr. Caperton. We did several IUIs that failed. When we initially had our consultation with Dr. C he advised that IVF had the best chance for us. Yet we thought no way, we can do it with IUIs. We were disappointed month after month. After spending what we would of spent doing IVF we were about to give up because we were financially breaking our bank. After much consideration, and the persuasion of Dr. C and his nurse we decided to give IVF a try. Although scary being that we were in the middle of pandemic we did it. We now have our miracle baby almost one month old. As mentioned earlier, I thought we knew better. We even sought out to get a second opinion and I will say the other option was nothing compared to our experience with Dr. Capertons office. His nurses are amazing compassionate and have real heart for what they do. Dr. C and Dr. Kelly really know what they are doing. If I could go back, I would of taken their advice right away and would of never doubted them. If you are in our shoes, trust the Dr.s they know what they are doing. There is another option in town, but if you want the best the Caperton practice is hands down the place to be. After 3 years of trying we felt like we made a family there. Everyone was wonderful. Rachel was our nurse in the beginning and was our nurse in the end she never gave up on us. She put together regimens to help us get our baby. Quinn our IVF coordinator was amazing, always responsive and there to help. I cant express the gratitude we have for the Caperton clinic. Not sure how to put into words of just how much we appreciated and love what they helped us accomplish. Caperton family we love you and thank you from the bottom of our hearts for baby. We will forever be thankful to you all.
I cannot recommend Caperton Fertility Institute enough! My husband and I spent 2 of the most emotionally difficult years of our lives there and they kept us going with each setback we faced. It wasnt that everything went immediately right each time we went there. It was that each time something didnt work they had a plan for the next step and an empathetic understanding that cant be beat. While my first appointment was tough (I learned how serious my issues were) I felt immediate relief. I was scheduled for an appointment quickly and given answers from the get go. While other doctors dismissed what I was going through due to my age(under 30 at the time) Dr. Caperton immediately made me feel validated and taken seriously. Not to mention the facility is beautiful and warm in a way that most doctors offices are not. Dr. C has always been real with us, he encouraged us to stay positive while never withholding information from us that might be upsetting. When one pre transfer hormone plan didnt work for me he created a customized plan and calendar that worked. The rest of the staff was incredible about making us feel welcome and cared for. I can personally comment on the care from Rachel and Courtney since I spent the most time with them, they seemed to genuinely share in both my pain and my joy and put me at ease every appointment, phone call, and email(that they answered graciously and effeciently). When I had my last appointment today I could tell that the team had almost as much joy for us as we had for ourselves. I left with tears of gratitude and a bit of sadness at having to leave this team. I would have them for my entire pregnancy if I could! I cant wait until we can put our little medical miracle in her Caperton onsie!
Dr Caperton and his staff are so awesome, I love reading all the success stories they have succeeded in and we are so grateful to be able to have created our little blessing with the best Fertility Doctor and team of nurses ever. If any of you struggle with infertility or just want to create a family and don’t have the right resources we highly recommend Dr.Caperton for the best care out there. They treat you like family not just a patient♥️
This place is absolutely amazing! They created a safe space where I felt comfortable enough to ask questions and just honestly be myself. Rachel really helped with that, and provided me with great information! Being pregnant is exciting and also a bit scary at times, so it was very nice to be able to come here and have a great experience. I looked forward to each appointment and was very thankful for the team here. Thank you guys so much!!
Terrible experience for my pregnant sister. Dr.Caperton (male) was very unprofessional. He was very impersonal, rude when she tried to ask questions, spoke to her as if she is incapable of understanding anything, DID NOT WEAR GLOVES during the internal ultrasound, and made her feel as if she was making things up. His unprofessionalism ruined her first time ever hearing her babys heartbeat and she will never get that experience back.P.S. Everyone else at the facility was kind, patient, and polite.
Do not go here, it will just be a bad experience. I have never felt more frustrated or insulted talking to a doctor in my life. Dr. Caperton simply wouldnt listen to us, he made wild assumptions about anything we said, and when we tried to clarify ourselves we were met with hostility and outright anger. We have been trying to have a baby with a previous Dr, but have now moved to NM, hence our visit to this clinic and Im convinced Dr. Caperton didnt want to help us because we have a low chance of success. He never said that, but I cant think of any other reason he was immediately resistant to helping us. In addition it was clear he had not bothered to prep for our visit at all, even though we made sure to fill out all our forms online and have our records sent over ahead of time at his offices request. Please read the other reviews for Dr. Caperton, so you can just avoid this place. I wish I had checked these google reviews before making the appointment, I could have saved my wife the trauma of having a Dr reject us out of hand.
When we first wanted to add to our family a couple of years ago, I never imagined we’d experience multiple heartbreaking miscarriages. It is unbelievably stressful and difficult to lose baby after baby. We were referred to Dr. Caperton for further help. I was so impressed by everyone’s kindness...from the initial call I made to every single appointment, every staff member was so compassionate and caring.I went into Dr. Caperton’s care with little expectation of ever carrying another child to term and I was honestly a bit skeptical that we could be helped. I’m so glad I was absolutely wrong! We received expert care, expert advice, and heaps of compassion and happily welcomed our little boy last October.Caperton Fertility Institute helped us have our baby, but most importantly Dr. Caperton gave us back our hope that a happy ending was possible. I highly recommend Dr. Caperton to anyone in need of extra help to grow their family. We will be forever grateful to Dr. Caperton and Dr. Kelly, every helpful nurse, and every kind staff member for helping us bring our little guy home. Thank you all so very much!
Caperton Fertility is an absolutely amazing place to receive care. We found ourselves seeking answers after one year of TTC with no luck. Caperton was very thorough in their evaluation, treatment, and care as we found ourselves in the process of infertility treatments. We ultimately had to go through IVF. This process can be very stressful, but Caperton was always available to answer any questions and were willing to help in anyway possible. We were so grateful for their service and support, and we welcomed our first baby last year. The care you receive here is night and day as compared to an OBGYNs office. They are quick to answer your call and get you in to be seen so you can have answers right away. This is huge, especially before and during pregnancy. I am so beyond grateful for their amazing care, and recommend them to anyone seeking fertility treatments.
There are no words that can express how grateful we are to the Caperton Fertility Institute! The whole team has helped us on our journey to become parents. Every step of the way through our IVF journey we were given the best and most advanced care. We just “graduated” and it’s bittersweet to leave. I would recommend them to anyone struggling with infertility. They gave us hope in the midst of our struggle and we are one step closer to holding our little miracle!
If you have questions or need help with Fertility Caperton Fertility is the Place for you! I went through two miscarriages prior to coming here and no one in Roswell took time to help me so I came here and I’m glade I did! Both Dr. Capertons helped me and the staff. The staff is truly so nice and actually want to help you and I really loved my experience here, I would highly recommend them!
I wish I was not writing this one star review, but my experience with Dr. Caperton was so negative I feel I must.I have been undergoing fertility treatments for 2 years with a previous diagnosis of diminished ovarian reserve. This included 2 failed IVF procedures and 7 failed IUI. I was happy with my previous provider, but as my husband and I had to move due to his job, we came to see Dr. Caperton. He is rated highly so we were excited.Upon meeting Dr. Caperton, I thought we were having conversation about my previous treatment, outcomes, and future treatment options, although it seemed he was being a bit dismissive. I thought maybe he just has difficultly with patient interaction. But then Dr. Caperton seemed to focus in on a diagnosis of endometriosis. Now, whether or not I have endometriosis doesn’t affect me, emotionally speaking. I just want to have a baby. However, Dr. Caperton stated he had not looked at my files, and I informed him that I have tested positive nor had a single symptom of endometriosis. I asked him why he was sure I had endometriosis. He stated it was because I marked on my intake form that I had some pain during menstruation. I said, “I believe most women have some pain during menstruation.”At this point, Dr. Caperton slammed his laptop shut, and gave my husband and I a speech about how we were being adversarial and how at this point in his career, he would only take on patients who fit with his vision for his practice. Sobbing, I was escorted out by Dr. Caperton with my husband.I’m sure that Dr. Caperton would view this interaction differently and think he was correct in giving us a lecture, but in my mind I was fulfilling my role as a patient to ask questions during the consult. It is the right of the patient to inquire about what type of care they can expect to receive. Furthermore, all infertility patients are real men and women who deserve compassion from those treating them. I have thought about Dr. Caperton scolding me many times over the past several months, and it makes me incredibly sad in addition to the true grief infertility has us all experience.I’m glad there are positive stories about him, but please find another doctor if you can.
My husband and I are very pleased with our experience at Caperton Fertility Institute. Caperton Fertility has yet to disappoint! We are current residents of California. We had been seeking out fertility doctors in our area and still did not feel as comfortable and confident as we did when visiting with Dr. C. When speaking to him I expressed all my wants needs and concerns. (Mind you it was even after hours on his personal time) He was extremely patient, understanding, kind, knowledgeable and most importantly made me feel as if we were family. Even with us being 14 hours away hes made it all possible. Dr. C bed side manner is fantastic. Iv had alot of bad experience with doctors especially with female issues. He was very gentle. He took time to talked me down from my anxiety of bad experience with other doctors in the past. He made sure that I was confortable as possible befor proceeding with all exams. The staff...... no words. Absolutely outstanding as well. Quinn particular has been absolutely phenomenal! She reached out to check on me throughout all my medications and after my procedure. She always gets back to me when reaching out to her. Very prompt and caring. Nothing is too big or too small for staff here at Caperton Fertility. We recently underwent our egg retrieval and its been a success. The Anesthesiologist was fantastic. She made sure to go over all history of past operations. I informed her how sick I normally am afterwards and she made sure I wouldnt be after waking up. And that was also a success! Since my egg retrieval they have updated me just as the said the would on the growth of the embryos. Dr. C has treated us as family and I truly feel that has made this journey so much smoother. When leaving he makes sure all your questions and concerns are answered. If you or your family are on the search for a fertility doctor, He will definitely do his best in making this experience as easy and successful for you as possible. Very happy with our decision in choosing Caperton Fertility Institute and I think you and your family will be too! Very happy I followed my heart!
We originally came to Caperton Fertility Institute after meeting with a different fertility clinic in ABQ. We were not impressed with the information, care or patient care services at the first clinic plus the wait times for appointments was ridiculous. CFI was a completely different experience for my husband and I.Dr. Caperton was able to see us rather quickly and also begin our IVF journey. We were welcomed with information, kindness and support, everything that someone going through this process needs. We were seen quickly with all questions answered. All staff members were amazing and we have nothing but good things to say about the Caperton Team.Due to an unexpected move out of state move our IVF process was put on hold prior to receiving the transfer of our embryo. Then covid hit, although this created unique challenges of its own, CFI was able to help us successfully over come them and continue on with our transfer. Shout out to our nurse, Quinn! She went above and beyond in our unique situation to help coordinate everything! We are very excited to welcome our baby boy in August! Thank you to whole team at CFI!
Dr. Caperton and his staff were great! I had the best care with them, specifically Myra and Sabrina. Dr. Caperton was open to everything I wanted to do and didnt let his own personal beliefs get in the way of his services. Other doctors around town arent as professional. His office is also very clean and pleasant. I highly recommend Dr. Caperton and now I have a beautiful baby girl with his help!
My husband and I had a wonderful experience here. Everyone at the practice from receptionists to nurses and doctors was kind and supportive. RN Ashley was a constant comfort, never seeming to tire of responding to my incessant emails whenever I got worried about something I read on the internet. She and PA Rachel truly treated me like a sister and not just a case file. Many of the women working here are former patients and as such their level of compassion is incomparable. We were quite apprehensive about seeing a fertility specialist as we had had terrible experiences in the past with other doctors while suffering years of undiagnosed infertility and a loss. At our first visit, Dr Caperton was able to diagnose the main cause of our infertility and not long after I underwent surgery to correct the issue. At 21 weeks pregnant today, I can honestly say without this practice and Gods help we wouldnt be where we are. Thanks, Caperton Fertility!
Living with infertility issues can be a real nightmare and embarking on the journey to resolve those issues is often equally frightening. My wife and I both had significant issues that were preventing unassisted conception. We attempted multiple paths with multiple fertility professionals in the southwest region and our only successful results were at the Caperton Fertility Institute with Lee, Kelly, and their outstanding staff. Hopefully our experience and research will help you in your decision. We started investigating our fertility issues and had so many questions: Why is this happening to us?, Can we afford to involve a fertility specialist?, What do we do first?, How long will this process take?, What are our chances for success?, and the list goes on and on. And the questions dont stop coming; in fact the amount of questions increase throughout the process. Dr. Caperton and his staff were always there to answer our questions thoughtfully and honestly. And while sometimes the answer you receive isnt the answer you are hoping for, that honestly is what you need in order to make informed decisions. I found that refreshing and respectable.I dont know if things ever go easy for anyone dealing with infertility and we had a fair amount of pain, disappointments, and scares along the way through multiple IUI procedures and IVF cycles. The compassion, sympathy, and understanding of the staff at Capertons is unmatched.Bringing comfort to an inherently uncomfortable situation is not an easy task but it is something the staff at Capertons excel at. The facilities are clean, bright, calming, and inviting. The feeling or mood of the office is never chaotic or tense. The laboratory is immaculate, contains state of the art equipment allowing you to watch them work at the microscopic level, and is staffed with friendly technology experts that answered many of our questions.Performing fertility treatments is an art based on science. There are subtleties and nuances that greatly influence the intended outcomes and the patient plays as big a role as the doctor in affecting the odds of success. When you want to maximize your odds you need to make sure your fertility specialist is not just a doctor but also an artist. When it comes to performing IVF procedures Dr. Lee Caperton is a virtuoso in the field and we highly recommend him over others in the southwest region. We wish the best for everyone struggling with infertility and are blessed and thankful for Caperton Fertility Institute helping to bring new life into our family!-The Millers
Although the staff and doctors are all kind, they took me and my husband for a ride. I understand that there are a lot of things to test for when the cause of infertility is unknown, but they were not up front on price. When I first scheduled our initial appointment, no one told me what the cost of the procedures would be. When I scheduled my next appointment, no one told me the cost. They couldnt even give me a ballpark estimate because every procedure is different and we dont know what will be done. When I went in for my procedure, Dr. Caperton himself brought me and my husband into his office and asked why we were here today. That should have let me know right there to leave. Shouldnt he know what we are there for? After the procedure was over, they told me I should be fine to get pregnant and I asked why havent I then? And they didnt have an answer. In other words, I feel they are just lying to me about what tests need to be performed. There are other fertility clinics in town... These guys are incompetent.
Our experience with Dr. Caperton was traumatic for us and it has taken nearly a year to be able to write this review. After seeing the positive reviews online, glamorous office, and a charismatic initial meeting with Dr. Caperton, we put our full trust in he and his team for our IVF cycle. Dr. Caperton’s demeanor completely changed after our first meeting. Not only were we treated poorly by Dr. Caperton leading up to, during, and after our IVF cycle, but critical errors were made and we were left with no answers, excruciating pain, and a feeling of complete hopelessness. Now that we have been through IVF elsewhere, we understand why our IVF cycle with Dr. Caperton resulted in a poor result (just six days of STIMS?). We learned that our outcome had nothing to do with biology and was avoidable with proper patient care and management. Dr. Caperton’s lack of transparency, honestly, and basic human-decency post-retrieval was absolutely appalling and revealed a great deal about his priorities as a businessman/physician.In addition to our terrible IVF results, prior to completing the IVF cycle, Dr. Caperton’s Physician’s Assistant performed a diagnostic procedure where she determined two different prognoses. She told us she would need an additional procedure to correct the issue before a transfer. Since moving to a new clinic, I have undergone the exact same diagnostic procedure by two different Reproductive Endocrinologists (MDs) and both doctors said I do not have either of these issues in my uterus and do not need an additional procedure. In summary, I would not recommend Dr. Caperton to perform fertility treatments and would encourage others to complete their own research outside of google reviews to seek out a more experienced, diligent, and reputable Reproductive Endocrinologist. CFI’s lack of patient care, transparency, and inability to properly diagnose/communicate made an already incredibly difficult situation, disastrous and heartbreaking.
My husband and I have been married for 12 years and have been trying to have a baby for about 8 years now. I have been to other fertility doctors and have done IVF treatments and have had horrible experiences with those docs. Because of our last experience, we just stopped trying. We felt like we couldnt get any straight answers on why we were having fertility issues and frankly just felt like the doctors we came in contact with just didnt care enough to help us or educate us.Last year my husband and I decided to give it one more try. My endocrinologist referred Dr. Caperton so we decided to make an appointment to see if we got a good feeling from him or not. On our first appointment with Caperton he performed an ultrasound on me and said that I have endometriosis. No doctor that we have seen throughout the years ever told me that I had endometriosis. As of today I am 10 weeks pregnant and I owe it all to Kelly and Lee Caperton and their amazing staff at the fertility institute. It hasnt been an easy journey for us but they have stuck by us the entire time and didnt give up on us. We are so very thankful that we decided to give it one last try.Everyone that goes through fertility issues has their own unique set of circumstances. Sometimes even going through this process can take longer than expected. I have been a patient of Dr. Capertons for almost two years. My only regret is that I didnt seek his help sooner. I recommend CFI to any couple going through fertility issues. We will forever be grateful to CFI and their staff for everything they have done for us!
We had the pleasure of working with Dr. Caperton for our first/more challenging pregnancy and Rachel (PA) for our second pregnancy. Both are amazing. If you are having any problems getting or staying pregnant, don’t wait to book your appointment. It’s one of the best decisions we ever made.
Dr. Caperton and his entire staff are the best you will ever find in the infertility world. The Caperton Fertility Institute is ran so flawlessly. If you want to experience the most caring and loving staff then come here. If you want to experience the most organized and efficient institute then come here. My experience has been beyond exceptional and I am forever grateful to everyone at the Caperton Institute.
Dr. Caperton is a wonderful doctor. His nurses offer the most supportive and caring attention that Ive ever experienced from health care professionals. His staff is also very friendly and professional. If youre not sure about seeing someone about a fertility issue, this place will give you the best care.
I thought even after multiple losses and having a child that having a second would be easy; hey I had one already. Boy was I wrong, more miscarriages and a scary ectopic pregnancy left me risking my own life to have more kids. So I turned to Caperton and his team for help and though the process took 10 months and was one of the hardest things I have ever done in my life. We are happy and excited to be welcoming a baby this coming Fall all thanks to the wonderful staff at Caperton Fertility. Please anyone who is even questioning if this is their path needs to just check it out, it could really bring so much relief just to talk about it and find other women/ couples going through the same thing!
If you are reading these reviews, chances are you have endured some stress, tears and maybe even heartbreak over trying to grow your family. I remember countless times crying and asking the question, What is wrong with me/my body?Seeking out help puts you in a very vulnerable position. For many I would imagine, it is a final effort to grow a family. Your history is examined, you feel like a pin cushion from all the tests, you pay an incredible amount of money, with no guarantee. A very scary place to be.Credentials, experience, training, schooling all play a big role in a doctors ability to give best medical support. But I believe something that cannot be taught in any medical program is connection. Each and every doctor, nurse and staff member at the Caperton Institute made me feel like family. While I know this isnt everyones end result, I am so happy to say we are expecting our little miracle baby in March of 2022.My final graduation day I balled my eyes out. I remember trying to imagine how could I possibly continue throughout this pregnancy without my Caperton Family, and specifically our IVF coordinator Jordan who was without a doubt, an angel.Had our outcome been different and it was determined that fertility treatments would not work, I would be writing this same review. Our quality of care could not have possibly been better and I am forever grateful for my experience for Dr. Caperton and his team.
The staff is very friendly and makes you feel comfortable while there. Unfortunately, we were unsuccessful with both of our IVF attempts here and no clear reason as to why. After our second failed attempt, we were told that we are welcome to come in and talk with the doctor about the outcome, so we did. About two months later, we received a bill for the talk. We called the office to question the reason for the bill and was told it was accurate and billed correctly for the length of the meeting. The bill itself isn’t much, however it seems very petty to charge us extra for this when we were under the impression to come in and talk about the outcome. In the end, the staff is friendly and the equipment is nice, however their methods didn’t work out for us. Hopefully you have a better experience in your journey.
We had a wonderful experience with Dr Caperton and his staff. Infertility is a stressful diagnosis, but Dr C makes it a lot easier to handle. He goes above and beyond in providing patient care in a timely, thoughtful manner. He makes every month count, which saved us a lot of time and money. At my first consultation he spent an extended amount of time with us, did an ultrasound, which diagnosed the cause of my infertility that day and came up with a plan. That same week he got me in for hysteroscopy and a few days later performed a procedure. The next month we began the IVF process.I really appreciated how quickly the process went after meeting with him. I was expecting it to take months or a year but everything went so quickly. He also is always available. I text or email him questions and always get a helpful response that day. Also his staff is extremely nice, helpful, and kind and his office looks like a modern spa.
I cant say enough good things about the wonderful people at Caperton Fertility Institute and the amazing gift they have given us. Thanks to Dr. Lee Caperton, Dr. Kelly Caperton & Rachel, we have a beautiful 2 year old daughter and I am currently 12 weeks pregnant with our second medical miracle baby! Getting here has been anything but easy, but absolutely worth the years of tests, procedures, medication, 4 IVF rounds, 4 FETS, SEVERAL setbacks, and over 25,000 miles of driving. My husbands childhood cancer treatment made us a much more difficult case to work and make successful. Dr. C never gave up! I absolutely believe his new office Caperton Fertility Institute(established Summer 2016, weve been patients since 2015), fertility laboratory, and amazing staff made all the difference in our last two IVF and FET successes.Dr. Lee Caperton worked extra hard to help bridge the gap in our long distance (400 miles) medical experience, way above and beyond what Ive experienced with any other medical professional. There have been countless phone calls and texts, often after business hours to accommodate our schedules. All the doctors and staff at CFI are up to date on the latest technology and Dr. C is constantly reading, researching, and trying to make things better for his patients. Without his insistence on Pre-Implantation Genetic Screening of our embryos, we never would have made it far enough to have the family of our dreams. Though weve had 10 embryos survive to be frozen for FETs, only 4 of them, on our last two IVF rounds, were genetically normal. I dont think I would have had the strength to continue had we implanted and had that many BFN or early losses. After the birth of our daughter we were out of embryos so we did another round of IVF in March of 2019. A few things in the protocols had been tweaked to reflect the latest research. The egg retrieval was on my birthday of all things, but the doctors and staff remembered and brought me cupcakes and cookies! This IVF round yielded one embryo and it came back normal from the PGS screening. Dr. C, Dr. Kelly and Rachel did extra tests and procedures to ensure we had the best odds of FET success. Due to some of the test results, Dr. C prescribed Lupron Depot shots this time. It was our lone embryo so we decided to follow his recommendation despite knowing that I would feel horrible off and on for 3 months while chasing a toddler at home. With my husbands help we got through it and gave our embryo the best possible chance. The FET was successful and they have monitored my labs very closely during these first 12 weeks. We are incredibility grateful for Dr. Caperton, Dr. Kelly and Rachel and the whole CFI team.
My spouse and I have been very pleased by our experience at Caperton. The staff are friendly, and they clearly have a good understanding of the state of the art science and techniques. We have been very happy working with Caperton, and would whole-heartedly recommend them.
Dr. Caperton and the rest of the crew are fabulous! They care about you and your family and give you options on how to grow that family. They are thorough and give you the facts about your individual situation. They come in even on holiday weekends if thats when your cycle demands to help you achieve your goals of growing your family. I have a wonderful boy because of them and we are now trying for a second child!
I am currently going through a very hard time in my life but I wanted to take a moment to share with you all how much Caperton fertility institute changed my life forever. To start off my name is Brianna and I am 25 years old, my husband the love of my life had his life taken away by a drunk driver while he was on his motorcycle it crushed me. My husband was pronounced brain dead on July 20, my husband was registered as an organ donor so he was able to save many peoples life. During the process of which was about 2-3 days my emotions were running high, thoughts like why didnt we ever have children. Another thought came to mind if he was able to give his heart to save someone maybe he could give me the child we never had. I asked the nurses at the hospital and everyone told me it wasnt possible. I started googling and researching online and up came Caperton fertility institute, it was after business hours so I reached a voicemail system with little hope I said what can it hurt I left a voicemail. To my surprise Dr.Caperton reached out to me, he never promised anything but said he would try. We had to jump through hoops with the hospital because they did not want to perform the surgery needed to provide a chance to retrieve vital sperm. The hospital plain out told me it could not be done so with my high hopes being crushed again I left the hospital while husband went into surgery to have his organs donated to me that was the end but little did I know Dr. Caperton was working behind the scenes to make sure my dream could come true. Long story short my husbands testicles were retrieved and sent over to Caperton fertility, Michelle worked on a Saturday for a compete stranger and she happily was able to retrieve vital sperm for me!!! Another amazing gift they gave me was doing this out the kindness of there hearts pro bono, I still have a long ways to go before a child can be possible but I will forever be greatful for what they did for me. No words can express how grateful I truly am!! I recommend this place 110%!!! Thank you all for your warm hearts and thoughtfulness. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I highly recommend Caperton Fertility! After 3 failed IVF Transfers with a different Dr., we decided to switch to Dr. Caperton. We had a positive experience. Dr. Caperton is very knowledgable, thorough, and they have an excellent clinic and staff. After just one IVf transfer I am pregnant! We are so happy, excited, and grateful!
Dr. Caperton is an expert who takes his responsibility as an expert very seriously. He and his staff want nothing more than to help you build your family. He is systematic and thorough in his evaluation and honest when he discusses prognoses. His wife is also a fantastic doctor. They are both kind, clinically skilled, and very invested in their patients success. His PAs, lab staff, nurses and office personnel are also all top notch. The clinic runs efficiently and is incredibly responsive if you have questions or concerns. As I write this, Im in the middle of my treatment. Whether or not we are successful, I am and will remain grateful to CFI for their excellent clinical care, compassion and attentiveness during this difficult and sometimes exhausting process.
Dr Caperton and his staff helped bring us a child. There’s no way I could put into words the gratitude we have for Caperton Fertility. You can trust that Dr. Caperton has your best interests at heart always, and his expertise will give you the best chance possible.
Dr Caperton has a very good bedside manner and gentel but he never figured out what was our problem. He did more than 5 iui on us and all of of them failed. We saw another specialist , he figured out what was our problem immediately . We conceived naturally after correcting the problem.I Dont have anything against him, Im sure he is a good doc too, just wanted to inform patients instead of just keep doing IUIs and IVFs, try to get a consult with a different doc in a different state. We are pregnant naturally with our second baby.
I hate to write this as it has been about 8+ years since my experience with this doctor, but after seeing that he and Thompson are still the only specialty fertility doctors near my area I wanted to write about my experience. I was so young I didn’t have enough information nor a voice to advocate for my own health at the time I went to see Caperton. He still worked with Dr. Thompson (my sister had a bad experience with Thompson with her infertility testing and advised for me to try dr caperton).I was 22 ish maybe 23 and looking for answers regarding a dx of “unexplained fertility” - to sum it up very curtly I was first misdiagnosed with PCOS. I was told I was too overweight for my age and that’s why I wasn’t menstruating and I was advised that my decision to try IUI (or IVF) was a mistake at my age but also because I didn’t have a father (partner) in the picture. After I took my mother in with me to advocate for my right as a single mother (as she and my family supported my decision and vouched I had a family regardless of lack of partner) the tone somewhat changed. But again my age, health and single parent decision were very judged and brought up multiple times. I stuck to my decision and wanted to get a sperm donor, but denied to go through the cryobank, requesting a male friend be the sperm donor.Once Dr. Caperton heard my donor was Gay, another lecture ensued. I won’t say he flat out said a gay donor was a bad idea but the “research” I was told he had regarding gay males and their susceptibility to diseases had my head spinning. I knew better then that at 22, but because he said it in front of my mom I was dumbstruck. He practically denied to help me unless I changed my donor, which was heartbreaking.I decided to still go forward with a cryobank donor from California. I was on hormones and when I went back for an ultrasound and consultation it was when I was told by an assistant that Caperton needed to discuss my options as PCOS was not what I had and there was more of an issue with creating eggs.World crashed. It again came to him saying my health and weight was the issue as non of my blood tests, hormones or organs were bad. I was 22, 5’2 and 135 lbs. —later confirmed I was NOT TOO FAT OR UNHEALTHY by a female doctor in Colorado. The most irritating part is I worked for Genzyme Genetics then (now known as Integrated Genetics with LabCorp) I had requested multiple times for a chromosome analysis. I confirmed my lab of profession would run the test for free and asked my OB and Dr. Caperton multiple times for it. Both doctors denied me saying I was too young and that test was too expensive for me to have at such a young age when I “could probably just work out and try hormones to trigger a period”After 2 years of the back & forth, lack of call backs from the office and lots of depression and tears. I decided to stop trying to build a life and just live it. Quit my job as I started to have depressive episodes working for a prenatal testing lab. Moved to CO and had great experiences with my CO healthcare (which included healing the trauma endured by my NM care) First day in my female OB’s office she drew my blood for a chromosome analysis PER MY REQUEST (as she explained she could not and would not deny care- especially if I insist on the test as it’s MY HEALTH)Needless to say my chromosome analysis was abnormal. A balanced translocation that could in fact with care and tests could result in pregnancy. The downfall now being because I waited so long believing I was infertile I was now 32 and nearing AMA. —so the risk was higher.I am mainly telling my story in this review to not bash the office as it seems many people have had good experiences and happy turn outs. But I will say, if they are still misguided or fail you, their answer is not the final answer! Get a second opinion and keep asking questions. Back in NM trying again...(*Most IVF clinics take out of state patients as I have now researched)
This was a terrible experience. They lacked in communication and organization. I was assigned a point of contact to begin with but every time I called she was too busy to talk to me and I ended up asking questions to the receptionist 90% of the time. The dcotors were misinformed on where I was at in the process and what fertility treatment I was doing. If I went into detail on all the issues we had with this clinic this review would be pages long. If youre a first timer to fertility treatment like I was, I do not suggest this clinic.
Lee and his entire staff were amazing in the consultation and care of my daughter and mother. Lee and Kelly are not only the best Doctors in New Mexico, but the kindest and most caring humanitarians in the state. You will not find a better fertility specialist team in all of Arizona, California or Texas.New Mexico is blessed to have such an amazing doctor and staff practicing in there state.
The best fertility institute in New Mexico and in the USA very professional and friendly staff we just graduated from our second baby 1/24/24 special thanks to Rachel
Never in my life have I experienced such a great first consultation that I had with Dr. Caperton . Not only did he explain in detail to my complicated situation. His true concern for my well being was genuine. His kindness and support eased my anxiety.
I was seen by Dr. Caperton and his staff for 2 years. During that time I was told I had multiple issues that could be causing my infertility. I underwent 1 egg retrieval and 2 FETs, along with multiple rounds of IUIs, Letrozole and timed intercourse. Unfortunately nothing came from those treatments. During my final few interactions with them I was stressed out and made to feel like the issue was me and not their protocols. I was new to this whole process and trusted their recommendations completely. When I was not successful initially and the side effects of the drugs were taking their toll physically and psychologically, they kept recommending the same protocol and I went along thinking this is the only way it would work for me. With another failure and continuing declining resolve to endure the recommended treatments I decided to try something else.We moved our final embryo to another clinic in Arizona in hopes of breaking the cycle we were in. My doctor listened to me and my concerns about medication and with a whole new egg retrieval and 1 FET it worked! I am currently 14 weeks pregnant and the whole process cost significantly less.In reflection of my experience at Dr.Capertons I felt like there was a stringent insistence on only their recommended course of action and an implication of failure being on the individual rather than the method. For women looking for help in similar situations, I would recommend to them to consider all of your available options rather than just the closest or most convenient.
Went there with my wife to get more information on how we could go about the process. All the staff was so helpful and the nicest people you will meet! Ended up doing IUI and it was SUCCESSFUL! Would recommended this place to anyone, especially anyone from the LGBTQIA+ who doesn’t know where to start in the process.
Very much run like a business. During our initial consultation the owner spoke about his expensive cars. They also said they’d call each day days 1-10 to let us know of embryo development and they didn’t - I had to call to find out. We went through 2 rounds of IVF over 50k all out of pocket to find out that I had other sx that need to be treated once seeing other specialist doctors that he didn’t fully let me know about so I’d have the opportunity to treat before IVF to increase my chances of success. Don’t waste your money. This place has drama with the only other option for IVF in ABQ. Do your research and if you choose IVF, I’d pick another state with better options than NM and doctors that are more focused on your health and well-being than making money.
Very wonderful experience! I am so glad my husband and I found them. Rachel helped me through all the process. Recommend to anyone having a hard time getting pregnant. All the staff were friendly and the facility was impeccable.
These folks are the Storks of New Mexico! We needed a little help in this department of our lives. Dr. Kelly Caperton took a lot of time to sit down with us over multiple visits and figure things out. Eventually we brought a miracle into our lives! Thanks Dr. Kelly!
Dr. Caperton and his staff are amazing. They were there for me when I needed them and provided the best care. They are the best care team in the Southwest.
Happy and grateful for Caperton Fertility Institute! Their amazing staff makes your feel heard and taken care of.

Very professional and great care throughout the entire process. I highly recommend Dr Caperton to provide the knowledge and experience during a time that can be exciting but yet very stressful.! Thank you!
All about making money not interested in the real patient and women who just want to have a child. Shame on him!!!!
Absolutely in love with Dr. Caperton he gave me my two blessing. I will always recommend anyone and everyone to him.
My entire experience was more than I expected. Lee and his staff were knowledge and compassionate. All my questions were answered and I couldnt have asked for more.

The BEST in the business! Very knowledgeable and professional not to mention successful! Made me feel so comfortable and confident in my decision!
I dont know why my wife went here. They didnt do anything except charge her. Waste of time and money. Nice patient folders but still a waste.
They were very helpful throughout the entire process and willing to talk with us about our questions and concerns.
I would never recommend this person since he doesn’t have the capabilities of serving human kind. Worst doc ever.
Dr. Caperton and his staff are very professional and care about each individual and they situation.
The best most professional help we’ve ever received. Warm and friendly environment.
