I had surgery and was experiencing alot of pain 4 days post-op. I reached out to my surgeon at Mercy Hospital and he sent in a prescription for antibiotics. The next day the pain increased to 10/10 and I called the on call doctor which was Susan Peeler. I explained my symptoms to her and she was very dismissive. She even had the nerve to insinuate that I was chasing narcotic medication. I was on the phone crying from the excruciating pain and she told me go sit in the ER for 8 hours, and that she wasnt giving me any pin medication (I did not ask for any type of medication). I went to an unaffiliated hospital and was diagnosed with a postoperative pelvic infection and I was in route to developing sepsis. I COULD HAVE DIED!!! She had the audacity to write in my chart that I was very emotional, discouraged and overwhelmed....and kids were crying in the background. Yes, I felt like I was dying, I expressed this but she did not care. Dr. Susan Peeler is the reason I will never go to nor recommend Mercy Medical Center. She is the poster physician for Racial Bias!!!
Doctor Peeler is a wonderful doctor its a very polite and understanding she knows what u need. Just sometimes when theres an emergency. I cant get in fast enough. And thats the only thing I can plan about otherss. Not shes a wonderful Doctor and a great staff. Thank you.
I have been a patient of Dr. Peeler for ten plus years, and I recently had a few issues; she is not alarmist, but she did reco further examination and testing. I am fine, but I am glad she proceeded with caution and a follow up plan. She is very easy to talk to, great listener and caring medical professional. I trust her.
Dr. Peeler is amazing! I have been her patient for 9 years and there is no one I trust more with my health. She listens to your concerns, makes you feel comfortable, and addresses all your women health questions with ease. She is not only a great doctor but a wonderful person.
Dr. Peeler delivered my daughter over 16 years ago. I was so lucky she was on call. My absolute favorite of the practice at the time. She now is Gynecology only, and sees my daughter. Incredible bedside manner, so professional and not to mention a wonderful staff. I would give ten stars if I could.
Dr. Susan Peeler and her team are amazing! I had recently moved to the area and was in need of a doctor I trusted. She listened to every single one of my concerns and provided me with the care I needed. She was quick to report my testing results and any questions I had through myChart.
Dr Peeler is AMAZING!! She changed my life with a hysterectomy… Warm and genuine bedside manners . Im forever one of her patients.
Here is what i expect from a doctor: Professional Approach, Listens, Asks Questions, Listens, Sincere Compassion, Listens, Describes the Exam while performing the Exam, Listens, Takes time to explain her diagnosis, Listens, Has time to reassure and Listens to patient questions and answers patient questions. The doctor has my time and I want the doctor to give me their time. Dr. Peeler LISTENS, ANSWERS, REASSURES, & HAS TIME! 5 Stars!
No stars. Saw her a few years ago for pelvic pain and issues with my cycle. Totally dismissive. Offered birth control or referral to general surgeon. Didnt think it was even a gynecological issue! Needless to say, after switching to another gynecologist, I had several things that were diagnosed. Endometriosis being one. (Something she didnt want to go in and look for or acknowledge that I could have had.)Dont waste your time with this doctor.
Very personable easy to talk to. She takes time to get to know you and answers questions if you have any. Her supporting staff is professional and accommodating. I Highly recommend
As a fellow GYN, there are only some providers that I would trust would my personal health. Dr. Peeler is not only in that select few but leads the group.
