Dr. Mahram is absolutely amazing! He just delivered our second baby and all I can do is sing his praises!! He is confident in what he does and always went the extra mile to ensure all questions and concerns were thoroughly answered and explained! He took extra time to make sure I was knowledgeable regarding the pregnancy / delivery process and never left in the unknown. His bedside manner is so calming! I rest assured that baby and me were in excellent hands! And throughout my entire pregnancy it was evident that Dr. Mahram was going to do whatever was best for both mom and baby! Thanks to him I had an amazing experience and was at peace throughout the entire process!! What a great addition to the area and I could not recommend him enough! If you are looking for an amazing OB, consider him your doctor!!
Do not see this doctor! My daughter recently had a baby. She had never met this doctor. He came in and was very arrogant. She was very uncomfortable with him. After being in labor for a prolonged period of time, he yelled at her and told her we are too far and we are not going to do a c-section. I have read the other comments stating he was quick to do this, but not with my daughter(that probably needed it, but it was not like she was asking for it.). He continued to make comments that were inappropriate in my opinion. I have worked in the medical field for the past 30+ years and could not believe how she was treated and talked to. After giving birth, she hemorrhaged. She lost over a 1/4 of her blood. He did not seem to have any confidence in the situation. It took two hours to stop the bleeding. The baby also had an abrasion on his head from birth. He was sent to Birmingham(for other health issues) but several doctors and nurses made comments regarding how this could have occurred. This experience was the worst for my daughter and her baby. I only gave the one star due to the system not allowing zero!!!
Dr. Mahram is absolutely fantastic and I cannot recommend him enough!! I was a first time mom with a unique pregnancy, and he was so so helpful.. I was anxious and scared, and he made me and my husband both feel so much better on multiple occasions. He checked in on me when he didn’t have to, and made me feel like my baby and I were both extremely taken care of throughout pregnancy. Not only that, but during my induction, and all the way through postpartum.Again, I would 100% recommend him, and have only heard wonderful things from other people who have seen him as well.He is kind, calm, knowledgeable, confident, patient, and TRULY does go the extra mile for his patients. Auburn / Opelika is lucky to have him, and I personally am so thankful for him!
Dr. Mahram delivered my second baby last month and I cannot even begin to explain how great my entire labor process and delivery was because of him. He checked on me consistently through my labor and was so encouraging and kind the whole process. He did such a great job of always explaining everything he was doing and going above and beyond to make sure I felt comfortable and knowledgeable of what was going on. I could tell he truly cared about me as his patient and took the time to make that known. I had such a great delivery because of Dr. Mahram and his patience and help as I was pushing. It was also such a great experience seeing him all throughout this pregnancy. He sat and took the time to answer any and all questions I had at each appointment and was so kind and caring when I shared I have had miscarriages in the past and had some extra worries and anxiety through this pregnancy.Cannot recommend Dr. Mahram enough!!! You would be lucky to have him as your doctor.
I dont even want to give the one star needed to post this. As a mother of 4 and a doula for many years, I have worked with many OBs and this man right here was by far the WORST! He has much improvement to make with his bedside manners, especially if he wants to work with woman in labor. I have never in my life been so shocked, and honestly...disgusted, so much by a doctor before. If you are determined to have a vaginal birth, I would do everything in my power to make sure he isnt around. This doctor is knife happy!!!Updated to add: Just found out he just finished his residency last year. I hope and pray that he can learn how to properly handle laboring woman and situations that are totally normal during labor. He is very arrogant and I think it was because he was trying to hide the fact that he was worried about something that is totally normal during labor, but he was inexperienced and taught strictly text book by the medical world so his first, and only, reaction is c-section. This is not only unfair to the mother and baby, but its risky. C-sections come with way more risk than benefits. Unless mama and/or baby are in danger, vaginal birth is always the best option. But still...his bedside manners need to improve 100%!!!
I have only heard fantastic things!
