When I first stepped into the office, I heard her speaking strongly to her staff about different things that were done and how they should have been done. And she was speaking so strongly and I was a little bit taken aback. And I was thinking oh my gosh shes so strong. I remained though and waited for my appointment. I discovered how intelligent she is and how well she knows the human body Specifically women And she was so gracious and understanding Of my situation without judgment or comment. Then I knew I found a very good doctor for myself. And as I spoke with her staff , they seemed happy To work there and they understood their doctor and her meaning and her ways.I was very impressed I found that I really like her a lot and I have hope to feel better and function better than I have for years
I have seen several doctors and have had multiple procedures/surgeries over the last 30 years. Dr. Barhaghi is by far the BEST obgyn I have ever seen. She is honest with you, compassionate, patient and personable. I will continue to go only to her as I respect her knowledge, experience, honesty and forward thinking approach to care. Lastly, I think her office staff are professional, helpful and Dr. B is a gem!
I implicitly trust Dr. Barhaghi. She’s extremely knowledgeable and strives to educate her patients. She is also kind, personable and honest. My only complaint about the office is the thin walls - you can hear what’s happening in other exam rooms.
Dr. Barhaghi Such an intelligent Doctor!!! is refreshing! she listens, she understands, she can relate. I absolutely loved my consultation and I strongly recommend this place for anybody with any hormonal issues or any women problems in general. even if you have issues with your thyroid she is the one to help you!
I was a new client of this group. Came for my annual visit, and asked the service desk, if my questions about the hormones, etc, will be considered an extra appointment (asked the girls several times), and they ensured me I can ask whatever I want and it will be considered a part of my annual visit. Then of course I was billed for an extra appointment on top of my annual visit. I can not accept lying to my face about upcoming charges, whether it was on purpose or simply lack of knowledge of help desk personnel.
I spent 7 1/2 years asking for help, she did more in an hour than anyone has done ever, and I couldnt be more greatful. She took the time to hear me and explain things, I didnt feel judged and she didnt make me feel like it was all in my head. Very happy!
Dr. Barhaghi is a great doctor! She is very smart and was able to detect a rare condition I am experiencing right away. Myra & Cindy at the front desk are wonderful, as well. I highly recommend this practice!
DO NOT GO HERE!!!! if you have to have a procedure they require the full amount before they will even touch you some procedures costing 3k. Then they will call you and schedule it, so you take time off work or out of your day, they give you everything you need for the appointment then you go in and they “forget/don’t “ put you in the schedule, then when you seem to be irritated, the DR herself will tell you, with these circumstances I’m not going to do the procedure, because it’s a liability. I would highly recommend staying away from this practice.
I have only been here one time for checkup, pap and questions but everyone was super nice and made me feel comfortable! The office was clean and nice looking.I heard from them the next day after receiving my referral, and they were able to get me in quickly! They are however, not in suite 100(that was in the address I recieved from my doctor) and in office #235 instead.I will be back for future visits!
Very uneducated doctors and staff. They do not seem to know what they are talking about. Several negative experiences added up for us here. False information, lack of education/knowledge, and unprofessionalism. Would not recommend this office to anyone for prenatal care.
I found out I was pregnant and was in need of an OBGYN, but all the offices I tried were extremely booked out, except for this office. I didn’t notice the bad rating Michelle had until after everything played out because I typically try to have my own non pre judged experiences. However now that all is said and done, I can say I have had a very similar experience with her as many other women have.I left my appointment in tears this afternoon. I’m 18 weeks pregnant, and I fainted in the bathroom at work this morning. I have two other children and have never experienced this before so I absolutely utilized the access to the internet we have and looked up what this could possibly be. I told her this, and she immediately pegged me out to be one of “those people” who get unhinged from things they see on the internet and basically mocked me over and over again. Michelle has said things in my past appointments that have rubbed me the wrong way, but ultimately, I needed prenatal care and my options were very slim so I just let things roll off of my shoulder. The first appointment when we confirmed the pregnancy, my boyfriend and I told her we each have two children separately and one on the way together and her response was “why would you even want another one?” She continued on to express how she would never want another child because they are expensive and how expensive child care is and how they don’t listen. I remember being alarmed at the fact that someone so “educated” in health isn’t aware that calling your child “bad” is so mentally degrading because she continually called him bad in my visit when describing her experience with motherhood.I had another appointment that she spoke heavy on her political views and also gave her opinions on women wearing makeup.Today was my final straw and especially after having the rough day I had, I wasn’t going to see my doctor to be mocked and treated like I’m an idiot. Her child was in the office as well as her father which I found unprofessional as well.Front desk workers are very sweet and so are her nurses, but she, she is just a different kind of person and she should NOT be in the practice she is in if she cannot show patience, understanding, and compassion for women who have complications in their pregnancies.
The front desk is professional, but the OBGYN, she is the worst Dr Ive ever seen in my entire life. Shes unethical, rude, and unprofessional. She doesnt know how to keep her personal opinion separate from her professional job, and makes a point to let you know who she is and where she stands on things that absolutely do not need to be heard. Ive since switched offices, and its been a month that they have said they have not received two forms to request my medical records. Ive now sent a third, hoping this will be the end of it.First time I met with her, she gave us the worst ultrasound imaginable. We have so many pictures of our son, and her set is the only one that is not displayed in our home. You cannot see anything, her Ultrasound tech did an amazing job, but this OB clearly does not care for the clients she sees. She rushed us in and out of the office, without even letting us know everything that is going on with our son, and with myself as a first time mom.The last visit, she was over 30mins late to see us, and after having a quick chat, She grilled me about if Im using cannabis while pregnant, and didnt believe me when I told her no. She then started to ask me what research I have done on the subject, as if to try and trip me up, while also cutting me off when I would speak. She then said that the father of my child would be an absent father because of his usage, without knowing how much he uses, why he uses, where he uses, or if it is even medicinal or recreational. She then went on a tangent about how she wished she never voted in favor of cannabis, all while my belly is exposed, just waiting for her to check my babys heartbeat. A simple are you using any drugs or alcohol? Was all she needed to say. If she really thought I was using or abusing, she would have me tested, but she didnt. She just wanted to speak about her personal political opinions, in the middle of a routine checkup. Its called the Group for Women, but she is in fact not a Girls Girl. She thinks her degree and title is an excuse to berate others, in front of them, to make herself feel, anything. I absolutely would not recommend.
Dr. Michelle is so good at what she does. She makes me feel so comfortable during my visit. The staff are super friendly and professional. I would recommend her clinic 100%Thanks so much for all you do doc!
Front desk staff is great but Doctor Barhaghi was the worst OBGYN Ive ever been to. She was rude, loud, and extremely opinionated (even bringing up her right wing political views about poor people being lazy, entitled, drug addicts). She interrupted every question I attempted to ask, rushed through my appointment, and used medical gaslighting to discredit my chronic medical condition. Im a 45 year old woman but she treated me like a toddler. She was also extremely rough while performing my pap smear and I cramped all day afterwards. I left the appointment feeling totally deflated and unsupported. I will not go back and recommend you dont either. She is why people dread going to the doctor. 0 stars.
I am 19 years old and this was my first time going to a women’s doctors but I can say Dr. Barhaghi made me feel welcomed and as if I have been coming here for years. I loved how she visual drew out the things she was explaining to me. She also only gave me facts and awesome professional opinions that will actually HELP me rather than the run around like most doctors do.
I originally wrote this review to express how much I enjoyed this practice. I’ve unfortunately felt the need to come back and change my review, as after receiving care from Dr. Barhagi, I’ve gotten $2500 of unexplained bills from them. Not only have I not been able to get a call back from someone who can explain these charges to me, I’ve had the billing office call and ask me if I know what these bills are for. Insurance mixups + all of these bills + the inability to get help from anyone in the office has made me want to warm people to stay away from here.***I have had a great experience with Dr. Barhaghi. I’ve been looking for a gynocologist that I feel really listens to me for a long time and I finally found it with Dr. Barhaghi!
Dr. Barhaghi is brilliant. She keeps up with the latest research and is a master with Hormone Replacement Therapy. I was referred to her by two girlfriends and feel lucky to have found her. She takes time to listen to her patients and is passionate about her work.
Under no circumstances should anyone consider Dr. Barhaghi as a surgeon, or their primary OBGYN. This whole process has been absolutely horrible working with her. She showed up 30 minutes late ON THE DAY OF SURGERY in dirty scrubs, completely disheveled, looked like she rolled out of bed just 10 minutes before hand, and was so out of sorts and unprofessional she started forcing me into a political debate about the economic status of the US, 30 minutes PAST my scheduled surgery time. She was extremely rude to the staff at the Medical center and kept badmouthing them under her breathe... which led to me being forced to listen to her berate Liberals in New York that are making kids these day lazy and not wanting to work anymore. When I asked if she could focus more on the surgery and that we could get back on topic, she then looked at me completely offended that I was trying to to stop her unhinged political debate, in the surgery center, and told me you know what, youre right, energies are to high today, Im not going to be able to perform the surgery.LADY!! You brought that energy! This is the most unprofessional experience I have ever had in my life. And I should have really read the reviews on Google earlier. Im now glad it didnt work out after seeing how she has messed up stitching and bandaging on several people. This does not surprise me. She was way too messy, disorganized and again, WORE DIRTY SCRUBS!I would never trust this completely unhinged, disorganized, messy, chaotic, ball of stress and nasty attitude of a lady anywhere near my body, and honestly no one should. Im glad she was so unprofessional she worked herself up to the point of not being able to perform the surgery. She then went to the rest of the staff trying to claim my surgery was being canceled because I had expressed concerns that I might regret it later. WHEN?? I have been trying to get this surgery done for 10 YEARS now. It is so concerning to me that she flat out began lying to the rest of the medical staff about the situation. Luckily the staff at the Medical Center rushed in and helped me as much as possible and comforted me after I became an absolutely sobbing mess due to Dr Barhaghis treatment of me and my surgery.Im positive literally any other doctor is far superior. I am absolutely heartbroken to have to start from the begining of getting this surgery performed, and finding a new doctor. But it will be worth it never see Dr Barhaghi again.
Dr. Barhaghi is extremely knowledgeable about womens health issues and provided me detailed information about my options for care. She was matter-of-fact and did not sugarcoat things about my health while also practicing excellent bedside manner, reading my apprehension and working to put me at ease by talking about things Ive been doing outside the office. She and her staff were able to accommodate me for a referral within a reasonable amount of time and worked to make sure my appointments fit into my schedule. The office is conveniently located near the Aurora Medical Center and easy to get to.
Do not go here. Michelle Barhaghi is rude, unprofessional and entirely controlled by money. She will rush you through every appointment, disrespect your partner, force you to sign a surprise fee disclosure and assure you that you will be informed if your insurance doesnt cover everything and then bill you randomly for a $500 routine ultrasound. She does not care about you unless you fill her pockets up with money and it took me having to go to an actual hospital to get care. She treated me and my partner like children because we are young and spent about 3 minutes with us every appointment. She will be late to every ultrasound and then leave you to sit in the waiting room for hours while she sits in her office and screams loudly on the phone about other patients. I would read all of the terrible reviews about her and pick a different doctor.
I had a terrible experience with Ms. Barhaghi. I had a minor procedure done and she didnt care to ask if I wanted anesthesia for that area. Half of the day it was stinging, the bandages were too tight that I had to release some of the pressure because that was also causing discomfort. She made rude comments about why I would see another doctor for women issues. Her demeanor was not professional at all. I knew I had made a mistake to keep this appointment rather than get seen somewhere else. Now I know I will definitely not be coming back here, I would not recommend.
I was a patient for roughly 1.5 years and have had a very mixed experience that ultimately led to me finding care with another pratcice for my pregnancy. I first saw Dr. Barhaghi when I was considering TTC and for IUD removal. At the time, she had just taken over the former practice and there were more staff on hand. Everyone was helpful and very sensitive to my fears about the removal and blood work. I continued to see her while TTC and found her to be very matter-of-fact and I enjoyed receiving her direct advice about TTC and fertility interventions. She was always honest about what care she had the capacity to provide, but this capacity changed throughout my time as a patient. I ended up seeing a fertility specialist and underwent IVF and became pregnant. Dr. Barhaghi had some strong opinions about which providers I saw outside her office, but I wouldnt say that her feedback was unprofessional, just strong and direct. I didnt go with the specialist she preferred. Once pregnant, I returned to her care and found it more challenging to obtain consistent pre-natal care at this office. Ultrasound techs were only available on specific days and often Dr. Barhaghi couldnt see me the same day as the ultrasound, so I had to come back several times in the same week. There is not a good on-call system and I ended up having a health emergency that could have led to a complication on a Friday during business hours and was unable to get through to Barhaghi or any medical professional in the office. The receptionist was the only person who would talk to me. I was told to call my PCP - which I did, but they wouldnt speak to me because I was out of state at the time. I ended up going to urgent care in a new location and shelling out a bunch of money to get the medical advice I needd during a scary time. Dr. Barhaghis didnt even call me back until the following Tuesday. I had an upcoming appointment so I spoke with Dr. Barhaghi in person about my concern about not being able to speak to an on-call nurse or other medical professional on a Friday during business hours and she apologized, saying that the receptionist should have known to patch this through, even though she was out skiing with her family. That made me very nervous. This was when I started looking into alternate care. Dr. Barhaghi admitted she is not doing as much prenatal and labor and delivery work but could be on call if I needed a C-Section down the line. The way this was presented to me did not make me feel as though I would be getting the best care (and of course, I dont blame anyone for focusing their practice on what makes sense for them!), so I ended up finding a midwife team at another practice. Before I transferred care, Dr. Barhaghi expressed more strong views about my decision to with a birthing center for my first birth and implied that I would be putting myself and my future baby at risk. While I appreciate honest medical advice, I didnt appreciate the casual manner in which she presented this to me and noticed other things, such as client files, photos, and names being visible in her office, that left me on edge. Its been three months since I had my last service at The Group For Women and continue to get calls about an unpaid bill which they have told me to ignore because they billed me by mistake. Im glad they admit when they make mistakes, but I did not feel very safe or well supported and there is a level of disorganization that I could no longer tolerate at this practice. I would not recommend it to anyone who is pregnant. I really like Dr. Barhaghi as an individual doctor and hope that she and her team are able to address some of these challenges and be a successful practice that supports patients. I will say that my interactions with all staff were generally positive and there are kind people working here.
Dr Barhaghi is beyond amazing, very thorough, also gives you an immediate ease and comfort…staff super friendly and knowledgeable, also bilingual
I had my annual physical with Dr. Barhaghi in March 2023. I received a bill of which the insurance only paid a portion, and the office states I owe the balance. The office clearly miscoded it as my insurance covers 100% of the annual physical. The office refuses to connect me to Billing and states she can only leave them a message for me. Billing has yet to return my multiple messages. I left several messages on their portal for Dr. Barhaghi and Billing and neither of them have replied. They continue to send me a late payment notice. This is crazy. I am having my records sent to another doctor who will communicate with me.
Dr. Barhaghi takes all the time you need, and my questions are always answered thoroughly. I always leave feeling more knowledgeable and heard. Its extremely rare to find an actual Dr. anymore who still cares. I love this practice!Brandi
I hav seen the Dr.Barhagi once she sent me to get results and came back to have cancer, since that initial visit I haven’t been able to get them to call me back. I have called several times to get medication for the pain from cancer and not one person has had the decency to return my call.
This place was great when Kelly Gerow was here, but Dr. Barhaghi was not up to par. She has a good personality, and I wanted to like her, but...first, she really wanted to take out my Nexplanon...said she didnt trust that birth control. Didnt check my chart and practically insisted on an IUD. She prescribed Liletta and told me it would be painful putting it in. I have an allergy to silicone. She put that thing in me and for the longest 3-day weekend of my life, I was wishing I would pass away. The fact that she missed it wouldnt have been so bad, but everyone else in the office missed my allergy in the chart also! Then, when I said I was allergic, she tried to just say, there are so few people who are actually allergic to medical grade silicone. Just because it hasnt been diagnosed, doesnt mean I dont have the symptoms!! And she tells me I dont want you on the pill, at YOUR AGE you shouldnt be on that many hormones. I was 36. I know women who have taken them into their 70s. I just dont understand why doctors cant say sorry when they messed up.
I was in pain for years and my previous gynecologist refused to help me. I saw Dr. Barhaghi for the very first time this past May and she offered to help me! Everything happened so quickly and I can honestly say that as of today I’m no longer in any pain! If you’re looking for a gynecologist who will actually listen to you, your concerns and offer to help you then I highly recommend her!!
This office is very poorly run. The receptionists up front have no idea whats going on most of the time. The doctor constantly runs an hour late, even for the earliest appointments. Then, she speaks very loudly for all the other patients to hear your business. But, the worst was the office manager calling me and SCREAMING at me because I made a payment arrangement with the front desk staff. He was extremely rude and he doesnt even work in the office, so he doesnt know what the office staff or the Dr are telling the patients. Then he took it upon himself to charge my card the entire balance! Which was NOT authorized! How can they do that? They will be hearing from my lawyer.
What a great Dr.! Michelle was so informative and patient with me. She really took the time to explain my diagnosis and treatment. Im very glad to have her as my Dr now
The staff was fairly rude. Bad attitudes it seemed like they didn’t even want to be there. The doctor didn’t resolve anything and just rushed the whole visit. The entire time she made me uncomfortable. They don’t clean the things they use to stick up in you. Very unsanitary and I left still clueless of what was going on with my body. I’m not impressed. Go to a regular OBGYN that aren’t ran by people of color sad to say. I’m not sure how this office is still open after what I saw. I’m absolutely disgusted and will never come back here again.
Dr. Barhaghi is very personable, knowledgeable and eager to discuss any of your issues. Shes willing to work with the needs of my other providers as far as treatment plans are concerned, which is very important to me. I would definitely recommend Dr. Barhaghi.
Wish I could leave zero stars. This was my first time at this place and the absolute worst medical appointment Ive ever had. Waited over an hour to be seen even though the office wasnt busy. While waiting, the doctor talked so loud I heard about another patients care from the front lobby. Once the doctor finally decided to see me after conversing with other staff, she was rude and argumentative after I asked her to lower her voice because I didnt want everyone to hear our conversation about my care. I ended up walking out and heard the doctor talking negatively about me to the medical assistant as I left the office. If you want to feel valued as a patient and treated with dignity and respect, dont go to this place.
The Dr is a horrible human being. Doesn’t care about patients and their needs, only goes off her own beliefs. When brought up she calls her patients mean names like a toddler. Would NEVER recommend**Edit- I spoke with the office manager to get an apology from the doctor about what was said during the appointment, he then started victim blaming, saying he didn’t know what happened but he’s sure my sister had an attitude with the doctor and that’s why she was called “garbage & a bad mother”. I then brought up the fact we are not the first to have this experience and he said it was because people were mad they had to pay their bill. There was no apology, and when I said I would report the office and potentially get lawyers involved he said go ahead because I have “no proof”.
I wish I could give a negative star rating...went in for my annual, first off the nurse didnt wanna take down my meds because I had more then 6 prescriptions, it was to much to type? Then I met the Dr I dont even remember her name because she came straight in, usually with other obgyn there is a nurse when exam is done? Not here, the Dr wants to know what meds Im on for my mental health and she stated, its no wonder your dealing with all these issues being on 6 medications like that after a year of being on nothing your brain will turn into mush, (Im only on 3 meds for mental health and 3 more for ashtma) she also told me certain issues Im having (from what I believe a hormone imbalance) is because Im not attracted to my partner anymore and that happens after being with them more then 5 years...I was shocked to say the least, she wanted to know why I was being tested for autism, and stated what are they going to do for you put you in a special class at your age?? And demanded to have the names and numbers of my Drs because she is going to personally call them and stop this nonsense.....I couldnt believe this, also I have had many exams with my oldest Daughter in the room, most Drs have been very descreat about the exam, well not her my daughter is 9 and was shocked because she tossed the blanket on top my legs through them open and did the exam...I wont go back, and not I have a new Trauma experience because of her...I should have read reviews before hand but trusted my primary we ith referral, most obgyn in my experience are concerned for mental health, its important...I was shoved off like trash, left with self doubt, and questioning so many things....
I should have read the reviews before coming here. The front staff is not only rude but lazy. I worked for health insurance for ten years and they had the nerve to tell me they couldn’t call my insurance to verify coverage. I transferred to a new job and received new benefits at the time of my appointment. With me I had my new born baby with me and I went in to get lab work done during my work break. I was the only patient (may have been my first sign—it’s very little traffic) in the office everyone was just sitting around. But they refused to call to verify coverage. Horrible customer service! I will never go back to this office. And if you care anything about your health you wouldn’t either. If you wouldn’t even verify my insurance that takes two minutes of your time what else are you not going to do that will require some work. This is the wrong profession to be lazy in.
Ive been seeing Dr Gerow and her staff for the entire 8 months of my pregnancy, and they have been absolutely fabulous to work with. Im a first time mom, so I have tons of anxiety and questions, and theyve all be handled great. The doctor is personable, easy to communicate with, open to questions and concerns, shes never running behind (I work in a doctors office, I appreciate how hard that can be!), I never feel rushed or like my concerns arent valid. Her staff is great, the nurse is fabulous (Im bad with names) and kind, I always get a call back within 24 hours if I need to call. The receptionists are cheerful and easy to work with, when I was making my first appointment, one took a few minutes to sit and answer basic questions and help me calm down. I love this office! There was a little miscommunication with billing, but they were polite and got the issue taken care of immediately.
Amazing doctor! She took the time to listen to my concerns and answered all my questions. She definitely knows her stuff and I am happy to have found such a good and caring doctor.
Dr is very intentive, explains all the details and options available. Awesome office staff too
Receptionist has no clue what she supposed to do. She is not informative and helpful. Whenever I go to office I feel I am visiting uninvited place. Appointment usually got delayed. I visited as yearly regular check she told me couple sentences but she billed for them. Are you seriously?? Literally she charged for words she said!! I wanted to my copay amount, they dont know just say we will bill your insurance bla bla.. finance works from different place I dont know their work hours bla bla SCAM!!!
Our experience with Dr. Michelle Barhaghi and staff of this clinic is fantastic. Dr. Michelle is very knowledgeable, polite and taking care of patients nicely during pregnancy journey. We always felt in safe hand with this doctor from beginning of pregnancy till smooth labor pain and delivery. Highly recommended for smooth and happy pregnancy journey. (Geetanjali Soni)
I have been going here for YEARS! Dr. Andrews is amazing. She was delivered both of my beautiful babies, and did all of my prenatal care for both pregnancies. Shes done two separate surgeries for me. Mindy is an amazing, fun nurse! Shes so kind and helpful. Whitney, the receptionist is so sweet and kind! I love this facility.
My experience here was terrible. One there is no bed side service at all. On top of that the doctor talked so loud that I was able to here another patients business!!! I expect professionalism. I shouldn’t know what is going on next door . Also I felt very rushed with my appointment. I had so many questions and every time I asked the doctor she looked irritated. And then told me the reason why I needed to get procedure done was unknown ! Never go to this place ! I don’t even see why they are still open. I would’ve gave no stars really.
Weve had nothing but pleasant and professional experiences since coming here. The office staff are great and Dr. Andrews has been nothing short of amazing in addressing our concerns and providing great care as we go through this journey of pregnancy. Shes very personable, yet professional. Im do glad I found her!
Unsure of previous ownership but new ownership by far very horrible. Checking in we were greeted with a “everyone just needs to calm down” because there were 2 people ready to check in (everyone was calm). From the conversation that we heard in the waiting area it appears that there may be some patient abandonment issues from the transition that took place from the previous owner and staff was unwilling to help/schedule or provide records to a woman of record. The medical assistant/nurse was unprofessional, I could hear a treatment plan loudly from the Dr consulting with her patient from the lobby. To top it off, the doctors entire demeanor altered once she looked at our file and saw that I am a “Medicaid” patient and was immediately talked down to and was not willing to answer questions and appeared to be in a major hurry. When we walked out of the patient room all of the lights and utilities were off and nobody was in site as we were maybe the last visit of the day. Outfits like this are scary and I hope that you can avoid it. We’ll be finding a new place.
Every member of this office is warm and welcoming! From the moment you walk in till the moment you leave you will feel at home. Im not sure where all the bad reviews came from because none of these ladies have a rude bone in their bodies. Even IF I had a longer wait in the waiting room it would be all worth it just to see Dr.Andrews and her wonderful personality. I couldnt wait to tell everyone how much I loved this office!
They make you pay the doc for delivery months beforehand, which was more than $2,000-- I delivered in January, so I ended up having to meet my deductible again. The doc was only with me for about 15 minutes to do the delivery. I went here for a high risk pregnancy and found out later after a second opinion that a lot of the tests they had me do were unnecessary. The doctors have so many patients that the wait times are ridiculous, even with an appointment. I also found out after a fact from the nurses at the hospital that I had preeclampsia and should have been on bed rest for the past few weeks. The doc never mentioned it. I worked my regular job up till the day before my scheduled delivery because my doc did not inform me. This group works with the Medical Center of Aurora, which is the worst, avoid that hospital at all costs. If you can, get your obgyn care through the University of Colorado-- I did that for my second and it was so much better.
I was referred to Dr.Baharghi when I became pregnant. Her bedside manner is lacking, shes very opinionated, rude, and loud. She gives the impression she does not want to even be there. I wont be returning, looks like Im not the only one!
The only reason I am giving this office two stars is because the Dr, herself, was very nice. However, the office staff is very rude and cant seem to adequately do their job. One of the girls in the office told my insurance company that I was a male and then charged me double what I was supposed to pay. She calls customers honey and sweety which personally, I think is very unprofessional especially to older women. I could hardly ever get a hold of anyone and when I did they would just transfer me to a voicemail. I finally transferred to a new OB Dr and I needed them to send my documents over- My new OB never received them, when I called back to see if they could resend them the girl that helped me kept telling me oh my gosh this is so frustrating Now, i have to print off all these papers again She acted like it was a total inconvenience that she had to do her job. I wont NOT recommend this office to anyone.
Incredibly frustrating. I made my appointment online about an issue that is causing me some anxiety. I entered my insurance information and assumed I could finally get some peace of mind. Nope. I arrived ten minutes before my scheduled appointment, to be told that check in time was a half hour earlier. First I had heard of it. The receptionist had a very not-my-problem attitude as well. They say they call the day before... Nope again. Guess Ill end up at Planned Parenthood.
Dr. Barhaghi is the best doctor that I have ever had in my lifetime. I hope she practices forever. I highly, highly recommend her.
Im so happy that I found Dr. Andrews! By far my favorite obgyn. Ive been seeing Dr. Andrews for almost a year. Shes amazing, and just has genuine care for her patients.I couldnt get in before a holiday weekend and ended up having to go to urgent care. When I saw Dr. Andrews a few weeks later, she told me that she can always get me in for my issue. It made me feel like I was a priority to her. Awesome! To speak of my interactions with the staff, all I can say is that they always make me like an old friend. Mindy and Whitney are fantastic! Theyre two ladies who have always put me in a better mood than the one I came in with.A+ womens practice!!
Dr Andrews is a great OBGYN. From start to finish I have felt heard and validated. She did not push me to do anything I didnt want to do and is so patient and kind. She gives great advice and leaves it up to you on the care that is best for you and your family. Highly recommend to see her. The office staff and nurses are great as well!
I’ve had a great experience with this office! I started coming here when I suspected I was pregnant and haven’t looked back since! Dr. Barhaghi delivered my first son and the whole labor and delivery process was seamless.
Very good experience...very knowledgeable, kind and easy to talk. Got procedures done quickly and thoroughly.
Ive gone to Dr. Gerow for 3 of my pregnancies, and if I can give my honest opinion, I would not recommend going to this office and getting your prenatal care from the group for women. And speaking from my own experience this is why:#1 Her nurse Sandy is pushy and condescending. She has No qualms in making you feel uncomfortable or degraded. I never once felt comfortable around her, and that isnt such a great feeling when you are pregnant. Youd want to feel greeted and put at ease and treated kindly when you come for your appointments, not feeling violated and insecure.#2 I always felt rushed at my visits from start to finish. And I always felt that Dr. Gerow didnt care to listen to whatever concerns that I had especially when it came to medications and procedures. She makes it seem as though she knows best, so just do as she says without question. And this isnt how it should be. You are the patient and it is your body, your baby, and your life. And if you dont feel comfortable with a treatment, a medication or procedure, you should be able to voice your concern about it and be able to get more information about it from your Doctor, without feeling like you are at odds with them. You should be able to work with your doctor, not against them.#3 And God forbid that you have a complaint! You just might get your care terminated. Which is horrible and just about the saddest thing that can happen when your pregnant. But if thats the kind of ship that you run, then I dont want to be on it. I felt disheartened when I got a letter from Dr Gerow saying that my care had been terminated. But honestly, I was looking for a different doctor before I got that letter, because I knew that it was past time to go.Again, this was just my experience, it may not happen to you. But if you want to have more of a say in your prenatal and postnatal care, I personally do not recommend the group for women.
Doctor Gerow is the best doctor I ever met. Shes done 4 C-sections for me. All of my 4 children are healthy and grown big. Big respect for their staff, they make such good and important job.
Today I made the decision to stop going to this office after 12 years of being a patient here. Dr Gerow was my Dr and there have been many times Ive considered switching to a new office. Ive reached the final straw. One positive thing I have to say is that Whitney at the front desk is really nice.Sandy, Dr Gerows nurse, has always been rude, condescending, and seemed like I was a huge inconvenience to her when I would have an appt. Zero compassion and people skills.Dr Gerow was always nice to me but always seemed rushed and lately has been trying to talk me into Essure which is a VERY controversial sterilization procedure. Google it...all you see is negativity and recalls in other countries, yet when I brought this up to her she said dont believe everything you read on the internet. Also the last two times Ive seen her, shes written me a prescription for name brand birth control pills which dont have a generic and therefore cost money out of pocket each month. Before, I was on a generic pill which was 100% covered by insurance. She must be getting some kickback or incentive to only prescribe name brand pills. I tried to fill the prescription a few days ago but the coupon I was given and expired so I had to go to the office today to pick up a new one. While Whitney was helping me get a new card I could hear Sandy barking ordered at her and telling her just tell her to go online and she can do it there....she seemed completely annoyed and I couldnt wait to walk out of there and come home and set up my next appt with a DIFFERENT office.
I saw Dr.Gerow at the beginning of my pregnancy and later switched to Dr.Andrews for the convenience of having my appointments on Fridays because my fiance is a truck driver and would only be home on the weekends. I loved Dr.Gerow she was very sweet, asked me plenty of questions and always kept me as informed as possible. I saw Dr.Andrews for the remainder of pregnancy and I have such a great personal relationship with her. Although she did not deliver my baby I love her and she is a great doctor. Friendly, aaka questions to make sure I understand everything and just to make sure Im okay too. Seeing her tomorrow for my postpartum birth control! (: All of the nurses in the office are so nice, helpful, caring, and understanding. They will try to answer any questions you have and of they cant give you an answer they will find someone who can, usually your doctor. I have had such a great experience with The Group For Women and hope that when we have children in the future they will be my team.
*FRAUDULENT BILLING*OVER CHARGED ME refuses to correct*SUBMITTED WRONG CODING TO MY INSURANCE REPEATEDLY (I asked blue cross and Blue shield to Flag this place and watch them closely)*SCREAMING/THREATENINGMAN IN BILLING WHO is also IRRATIONAL*RUDE*RESTRICTIVE HOURS*CLOSED FRIDAY*LACK OF PRIVACY as I overheard Dr talking in detail to other patients in other rooms. 😬😬😬The billing office is STILL trying to charge me a consult fee the same day as my free obgyn visit!!!
The Group for women is the best place to be doctor B and her whole team are amazing
Saw Dr. B for the first time, and she was super informative, and answered all questions I had. She was even offering suggestions that I would have never thought of. Staff was great, and Im going back for all my lady needs!
I really did not know what to expect during my first pregnancy. I also did not know what to expect from all of my doctors visits. The Group for Women was the closest OBGYN Clinic near my home so it almost seemed like a no brainer to receive prenatal care there. I LOVE EVERY SINGLE SOUL THAT WORKS IN THIS OFFICE!!!! They have exceeded my expectations EVERYTIME. I was well taken care of every time I visited the office. If I had any stress or worries speaking with nurses and my doctor (Dr. Janette Andrews) immediately eased that all. I am so happy I chose The Group for Women and as long as I am living I will continue to visit this clinic. Also Whitney in the front is MY GIRL! Love love love her - Dr. Janette thank you so much for everything you have done for me start to finish! I LOVE YOU. And to Mindy thank you for always sending me reassurance everytime I had a scare. I love you as well! I highly suggest this clinic! They are amazing!
Doctor is always attentive to any questions or concerns that may arise. She’s the obgyn doctor I’ve had years.
I just want to thank the girls and my Dr. Michelle Barhaghi for being so good and patient with me.. I ask a lot of questions and always do their best to get me an answer.. I love how they explain everything. Im happy I came here.
Why are there so many men in this clinic? I am confused. There were more men than women.. I must be missing something. Anyway, my waiting period was over an hour, but Dr. Andrews was great and very knowledgeable. I liked that they were able to run a test in the office regarding my stage of my menopause.
This is the first review i have ever done, but because i had such an awful experience i dont want anyone to be treated like i was.Dont recommend this place to anyone. The front office is extremely rude and makes you feel like you have done something wrong by entering the building. I had Dr Kelly Gerow and I felt like she just wanted to get done with the appointment as soon as possible. Any question I had for her she just dismissed it and vaguely answered it if answered at all. I had the skyla IUD inserted and the operation took a total of 5 minutes. It was the most excruciating procedure ever, and I have an extremely high pain tolerance. she told me to just take some advil and id be fine. its really a simple procedure. As soon as she finished, she gave me a 30 second briefing of the skyla, and got up and left the room. She made me feel like i had done something wrong for being in pain during the whole thing. it sucked.I am currently having issues with my IUD and will be seeing another doctor. Not a welcoming place.
Dr Barhaghi is caring & very personable. It feels like Im hanging out with a friend whenever I see her.
I wish I can rate it a negative. The worst doctors and worst stuff I ever met who in the right mind treats pregnant women like the way they do Im already having so much problem and sick all the time on top of that I have to deal with this idiot doctors and stufs.I cant even ask 1 question everytime I have appointment I cry before I go there its way to late for me to find a new doctor.they are so rude and evil if they dont like their job find a different job easy stop sitting their and make all your patients uncomfortable and suffer.
The Best Dr!! Gives time and best treatment options!
She made me feel comfortable and answered my questions. I trust her opinion and treatment plan.
The front receptionist is rude ! Not helpful at all , I was supposed to get a IUD put in and the nurse and OBGYN refuse to do it, saying that they had a full schedule WHEN NO ONE WAS IN THE CLINIC !!! I would never go there again! I wish Whitney was there , she would have got me back there! I’m definitely picking another OBGYN !
Love Dr. Andrews and her nurse! I am currently pregnant with my 2nd baby and I knew I wanted to come back to her. I never have to wait long to be seen and Im usually in and out!
Dr Janette Andrews is a great doctor. However if you want to deal with a headache, bs, incompetence and terrible customer service say hello to her front desk. Also be careful who you talk to on the phone about your vagina make sure you get a name!!!
Dr is great!!! She’s well versed, and throughly and takes the time to explain diagnoses and offer solutions. I highly recommend!
I have gone here now for 3 pregnancies. Im due in 2 weeks with my latest and I love this place! I would recommend it to anyone. Dr Gerow is amazing and I love the environment.
I have had nothing but positive experiences with this office. I love the staff and Dr. Andrews is a wonderful doctor as well. I feel extremely comfortable with everyone in this office and Im glad I found it.
They are rude extremely judgemental when it comes to status and what insurance you have. Then knowing they deal with women and post partum depression is common, instead of showing concern youre punished for being depressed. This entire office should be ashamed. I appreciate their concern....non existent
It is a professional place. The doctor is wonderful. I am very happy with the treatment and professionalism of the place and all the staff.
Dr. Barhaghi is very approachable, listens, and asks questions about my health. I have been looking for a doctor like her!
I called for an appointment and the office staff was very unhelpful and rude. Basic questions I asked the receptionist she answered rudely and tried to make me feel stupid with 1 word answer. I cancelled my appointment based on how uncomfortable the receptionist made me feel and if this is the quality of people they hire I would rather go somewhere else that would like to make me comfortable and takes pride in hiring good people.
I made my first prenatal appt the DAY i found out I was Pregnant. That was 3 weeks and 2 days into my pregnancy. I am now at week 7 and they called today to cancel my appt!! REALLY? i have had this booked for a month?! I will be finding a new Obgyn.
I made my first appointment and arrived on time but I didnt know you had to arrive 30 minutes prior to your appointment or they have to reschedule. Thats crazy Im a busy person and barely had time for this appointment. I wouldnt waste my time trying to get past the front desk. Huge waste of my time.
Front office staff extremely rude. Told her was still having periods but got a positive result from blood pregnancy test my Dr wanted me to get in ASAP she told me because Im probably not pregnant I wouldnt be seen until June. Smh
I had very good experience both times I saw her. She gave me all the time I needed and answered all my questions.
Dr. Michelle was so sweet and her staff was great! I had a great time without them.
I couldn’t even be seen on the time of my appt when I got there they say they had to push my appt back til 1:50 bcuz the doctor was in surgery ... 😐 so I told them I couldn’t come back bcuz my husband had to work so she tried to push me out all the way til next week I had been waitin for this appt for 2 weeks 😑so I got on the phone wit my husband while I was was there n let him know what was goin on n I walked out the 1:50 appt still showed up in my app but I couldn’t make it so I rescheduled another appt for feb 8 later on that day the appt was cancelled so I called to see what was goin on they cancelled my appt sayin there was an altercation the day of my scheduled appt I am banned from this place for no reason I don’t recommend this place to any body for the simple fact your appointment might get pushed back 🤷🏽♀️
Dr. Gerow delivered 2 of my 3 children. She’s amazing and I had nothing but great experiences with her and the office staff there.
Her office staff is wonderful. And she cares about her patience.
Great doctor. Passionate and Informative. Glad to see we are able to recruit more smart docs to this area.
The person who schedules appoints is the most disrespectful person I have ever encountered in 45 years! Terrible!
Do not go here the staff said I missed two appointments and had a late check in ... I dont know how thats possible when I only had two appointments scheduled !! And they were going to let me reschedule before I left but had a emergency call and had to leave when I called they wouldnt let me reschedule smh
I love this office. The entire staff is helpful and kind. If you are considering becoming a patient here I highly recommend it!
I WAS RECENTLY A PATIENT OF DR. GEROW, WHEN I FIRST SAW HER EVERYTHING STARTED OUT OK AND SHE SEEMED VERY NICE. AS TREATMENT WENT ON SHE SEEMED MORE LIKE SHE WAS JUST WANTING ME OUT OF THE OFFICE. I WAS DIAGNOSED WITH ONE THING AND WHEN I WENT IN FOR THE TREATMENT WAS TOLD IT WAS ANOTHER. HER NURSE SANDY TREATS YOU LIKE YOU ARE AN INCONVIENCE TO HER AND MAKES RUDE COMMENTS TO YOUR FACE. I WAS 3 WEEKS FROM A SURGICAL PROCEDURE AND WHEN I TOOK IN A CHECK FOR PAYMENT I CASUALLY ASKED ONE OF THE OTHER NURSES WHAT HER OPINION OF DR. GEROW WAS. SHE TOLD ME SHE WAS GREAT AND I TOLD HER THAT I WAS SCARED OF THE PROCEDURE I WAS FACING AND THAT HER OPINION HELPED. AN HOUR LATER I RECIEVED A CALL TELLING ME MY SURGERY WAS CANCELLED AND I WAS BEING DISMISSED FROM THE CLINIC. THE NURSE I TALKED TO TOLD THE DR. THAT I HAD ISSUES WITH HER AND DID NOT TRUST HER SKILLS. IF YOU WANT PERSONAL AND COMPASSIONATE CARE PLEASE I BEG YOU TO FIND A DOCTOR THAT WILL TALK TO YOU AND LISTEN TO YOUR CONCERNS BECAUSE YOU WILL NOT FIND THAT HERE. ALSO AS AN AMENDMENT TO THIS REVIEW I HAVE FOUND OUT THAT AS CARE WAS TERMINATED THEY HAD ACTUALLY PUT IN MY RECORDS TO BE BILLED FOR TREATMENT 1.5 WEEKS AFTER BEING DISMISSED FROM PRACTICE.
I was trying to call and set a appointment for my wife it would only ring once and then they would hang up on me, how are you suppose to run a business if you dont do your job they are very unprofessional dont even try to call wow.
Ive went to Dr. Gerow with my son 4 years ago and loved the services and so i decide to go back with this pregnacy.
First year coming to this clinic, staff is wonderful!
The receptionists are hit or miss but the doctors and especially the nurses are well informed and were more then willing to listen to my concerns and suggest multiple treatment options
Most unprofessional dr Ive ever seen! Rough rude and unempathetic!
Dr. B is a great doctor and everyone in the office is very helpful!
Worst experience ever worst staff ever Worst doctor ever super rude racism to the fullest DO NOT GO THERE!!!!!!!
Very clean office,very organized.Polite doctor.I was impressed.
Quick and nice place
I love Dr. Gerow and all the staff here! Great experience at this lovely office.....
Dr. Andrews will push induction and then c section if you let her. I will not go back will not recommend.
No respect, unprofessional,
My daughter just called to schedule an appointment and whom ever answered the phone was extremely rude!
